Speaker 1 (00:00):
A rough week for your gal over here, ladies and gentlemen.
The headline of this podcast is hold on to your
possessions because I was robbed. Calm Down with Erin and
Carissa is a production of iHeartRadio. Welcome everybody to the
Calm Down Podcast where we actually do our interviews, our content.

(00:24):
Big discussion out there in the old Spotify world that
somebody wasn't doing her interviews and then she voiced it
over and now they're out of their twenty million dollar contract.
Seems like a lot of stuff starting to pour out
about the not Royals. Kelly Osborne had a lot to say.
Oh my gosh, she was on fire. She did not

(00:46):
hold anything back and I could use her damarillion contract
right about now. Hi, dol So you're a vacation. I
am installing a house right now for a client of mine.
So I'm on the road. There's still I was about
to say shrapnel. I was so aggressive. There's still debris
in the back from the packaging. So yeah, we're coming

(01:06):
to you on location in different places today. Yeah, I
love an on location. Before you were in Michigan, you
went to Miami to do a sit down interview with
Miami Dolphins head coach, which I'm super jealous about because
I've never spent one on one time with my McDaniel.
How was it, Oh my gosh, let me tell you.
He's everything you want him to be. He walked in

(01:28):
and was at his house. No, we did at like
a rented house. You know how they always do that
for features, which is so nice. Yeah, think about it.
He doesn't impede on the and it's already enough of
him and his wife and his daughter, like take time
out of the day. His daughter's so cute. She's too,
but we don't need to be in your house with
all the stuff. And you know how we feel about floors.

(01:49):
Now we're moving things around. Now we're scraping floors. Although
he didn't very there, it wasn't did that. We have
a lot of questions. So it was great. And he's
so funny. And he goes like two seconds in a
meeting him, he was like, oh, now I'm rattled, and
I was like what and he goes, you are wearing
botegas and I go, no, these are knockoffs because I
got robbed, so I'm now wearing fake botagas And he's

(02:12):
like what, So yeah, Hi, way to bury the lead here,
ladies and gentlemen. The headline of this podcast is hold
on to your possessions because I was robbed a rough
week for your gal over here. Yeah, so we'll get
back to Mike McDaniel in the second. I'm not sure
we're gonna we're gonna let the We're gonna let that, yeah, exactly,

(02:33):
and I'm about to play defense. Yeah. Well, yeah, I
wish that this is interactive. Do you a want me
to keep going about my robbery? B finish my thoughts
on Mike McDaniel or C talk about how to hang
that mirror and how high it should go from the
ceiling A, B, C or D.

Speaker 2 (02:49):
Well.

Speaker 1 (02:50):
I think that's why we started this whole thing, because
this podcast, at first, we wanted to call it keep
up or vertigo, because that's what happens if you can't
keep up with this team. Listen, this is what happens
with our real life conversation. So this is what's going
to happen on our podcast. Now, we in fact provide
the content, do the content and the interviews. Again, unlike

(03:11):
some people rumored allegedly, so you went to go see
Mike McDaniel he commented on your shoes, you said they
were a knockoff. You said it was because you were robbed. Yeah,
what happened. So I was trying to, like you know,
most things in my life, when something back ups, I
try to bring some levity to the situation. So yeah,
he was wonderful. So I said to him, I go,
do you play chess? Because the way that he thinks

(03:33):
is always like four moves in front of everything, and
obviously he's very smart. He went to Yale and his
story is incredible, incredible, you know, single parent, single child,
never had anything given to him, even the story of
him going and getting autographs at the Denver Broncos training camp,
and that like him losing a hat. He had a
Charlotte Hornet's hat that he lost. Turns out the video

(03:55):
guy ended up buying him a new one. That video
guy is now his stepfather. Because he introduced the video
guy she was God and so that's his stepfather. And
then that's how he became a ball boy with the Broncos,
which is how he then met Mike Shanahan, which then
the Kyle relationship, and there was all of these things
that in turn have set up his life the way

(04:15):
that it is because of one baseball hat. So I'm
really looking forward to them putting the piece together for
NFL Films as they always do such a great job
and sort of telling that story. And I said to him,
I was like, this story for him has just started,
as far as you know, in the head coaching world.
So he has a lot of humor, like dry humor,
which is like us, like, do you think he would
get along with our humor? Or?

Speaker 2 (04:36):
No?

Speaker 1 (04:37):
He would be like, WHOA put it this way. I
the interview, it wasn't even an interview at one point.
It's just a conversation, which is the greatest point you
can get to, as you know, as a professional interviewer,
not to be confused with someone that's not right. We're
just going to keep going back to it. But yes,
we just I mean, I think they and we are
who we love. She was like, oh, you guys have

(04:59):
like forty five minutes. We were talking for two and
a half hours. Oh and she's wife so sweet. Yeah,
and the PR girl for the Dolphins. But yeah, so
that's good. But Aaron alluded to it, this podcast is
a mashup of a lot of different things. And before
we came on, Aaron asked if I wanted to talk
about what had happened to me this past week, and

(05:19):
I said, look, we can't have a podcast if we're
only going to talk about the good shit. And you
and I have both been very vulnerable and for different
reasons on here and talked about things legally we're allowed
to talk about. So this situation, yeah, really shitty. I'll
just get right into it and then we can get
back to lighter things. But I was at the ranch.
I got a text message in the morning that said

(05:41):
my front door in La had been you know, the
alarm had went off at twelve fifteen at night. And
I was like, that's weird, And so I checked my cameras,
which I already and let me preface this whole thing
with I already have an issue with security because I
had a stalker at my old house. I've been hacked,
and yeah, security is paramount for me. So I spend

(06:02):
a ridiculous amount of money feeling safe. I have a
German shepherd, I have a husky. I mean, it's like,
what else can I do to feel safe in my house?
But the dogs are with me. And also I need
to say this too, like I'm not trying to play
victim all the time. I hate victim mentality of like
oh whatever, But security is paramount and feeling safe in
your own home, whether it's who is in your home

(06:23):
we'll just say that, or who's outside your home trying
to get in. So for me and I don't need
to explain this to you. We know how important it
is to feel safe, as anyone should. But unfortunately, like
our situations in life have put us in places where
we get on edge about feeling secure anyway. So I
check my cameras and sure enough, two guys running out

(06:47):
my front door, bags in their hand, and I immediately
started bawling and this feeling in my stomach of like,
holy shit, I've just been robbed. And now it's the
panic of like trying to check the other cameras, the
angles and to expedite the specifics. Three guys came over
in my back They climbed. I have a big, huge

(07:08):
I mean that was that fence like fifteen feet or
whatever it is again, which I added to my house
to feel secure, find whatever. They climb over the fence
and they broke the window. They went in the window.
The alarms go off and they end up. You know,
these were professionals. They knew exactly how much time they had.
They were only in there for four minutes. And now
you know, on like all these movies, like robber movies,

(07:29):
they're like or point break right where it's like their
bank robbers. It's like they know exactly how much time
they have before police are deployed, and if you stay
too long, that's when you get caught. So've been doing this,
You're not the first out. Yeah, I know, but but
my feeling was, as you know, as I was talking
to you on the phone, my first thing is, oh shit,
is this targeted? Like is this specifically about me? Because

(07:51):
then it brings up all of our PTSD with things
of like is this related to the stalker, related to
the hacker, related to other people? So well, anyways, I
was able to sort of like deduce or feel more
comfortable in talking to the neighbors about like this happens.
I get it. I'm not the first or the last person.
And it doesn't matter what area we live in, right,

(08:11):
It can happen in Beverly Hills, it can happen in
New York on Madison Avenues like there's there's gonna be
break ins all over the place. But I'm just at
that angry stage where here I am sitting in a
house of a client of mine. That is my seventh
job to work really hard to buy things that are
important to me, or to have a nice house, or

(08:32):
to you know, I didn't come, I don't have a
trust fund. I don't have parents that you know, were
leaving me this big inheritance. And Mom and Dad, I
love you, but like we work, like we work for
our things, and we work really fucking hard. And I
have seven jobs. And so to watch someone break into
my house that I bought, destroy my stuff, steal my
stuff like they got away, they got a lot of shit,
they got allow my first ever this is really trivial,

(08:54):
and I'm gonna be trivial for a second. My first
ever Chanel bag that I bought was in Denver. I
had no money, I was. It was my first on
air job, and I remember taking myself to the Cherry
Creek Mall the Nieman Marcus, and I bought myself that back.

Speaker 2 (09:11):
And I was really proud of myself that I could
buy something like that, and they take it again. It's
just a stupid purse. And it's a reminder though that
really and I don't know why I'm getting emotional about this,
because I'm because that sucks. People that do this suck
and should be caught. And it's in the worst part

(09:32):
about this. It's not about the Chanel bag.

Speaker 1 (09:34):
It's about feeling safe in your own home, and it's
not how to violate you and do this and get away.
And the fact that our state is nuts right now
is bullshit. It's just it's sad to me like that.
I that it's and again you're totally excited about Chanel.
It's the you know, Sarah had bought me a person
for my birthday, and like they stole that. Like people

(09:56):
work really hard for things and someone gets to just
go in in four minutes all that from you and
not be punished for it. And so I just think that,
you know, without getting political, it's like there's no deterrent
and the rates at which these are happening are more
and more. But that's a different rabbit hole, and it
doesn't matter what you believe in politics wise, we're not
getting on that engine. It's just the fact that just happening,

(10:19):
and we want to feel safe and I get it
happens anywhere, but it's just it's all of it. You've
paid your dues in terms of not feeling safe, and
enough is enough. It's just frustrating it, it's upsetting and
it's violating again, yeah, exactly. And then it's this reminder
too that look, when it's all said and done, it's
just stuff, but it's the principle. And also, these fuckers

(10:42):
they took my pillowcases off to load up with my shit.
If you want to rob me, bring your own fucking back, Okay,
don't take my nice pillowcases because those were Italian threadcount. Okay.
So I walked in and I was like, why are
my pillows all over the place? Oh, I know, because
you used my low case is to load up my shit.

(11:02):
And by the way, fuck you guys, because the good
stuff I hide and wasn't even around. Okay. So like
like by watch like you know how I'm psycho about
that kind of stuff. It's like I know they were
coming in there looking for things, and it's like they
went right to the area where it would be. And
thank god, I don't put stuff in the little like
locked thing that's in the safe, and that because they

(11:23):
broke that thing wide open. They so they broke that.
I have a locked box thing like where my purses
are like in this cabinet and my clothes like that,
you know that room that I have that's like I'm
made into a closet or whatever. They ripped open the thing,
the jewelry thing that's locked, and I don't keep anything
in there because I've just had this you guy. You know,

(11:44):
I've talked about it before, even on this podcast, where
I'm like, I'll hide watches under my mattresses and hotel
rooms because I'm just like weirded out about people. But anyways,
I just yeah, it was a shitty week. And again
my takeaway because as my dad always says, the good
news is the good news is is that I was
reminded that my dogs are better than nine security cameras

(12:05):
and an alarm system. Yeah, because ain't no one want
to jump over the fence when Daisy and Willis are there.
And also I have an incredible boyfriend who took control
them for the first time in my life. I had
someone just handle it as I was in the fetal position,
like crying that my shit had just all been destroyed
and my house no longer feels safe and so he
just like stepped to the plate and took care of

(12:25):
it for me, which was so nice. And also, you
weren't I know that I'm safe with him, and I
wasn't there, and our dogs weren't there, right in four
nights before that, I was home alone without the dogs
because they were boarding and on Sunday and couldn't pick
them up, and Steve wasn't there, So I would have
been by myself if they did that four nights before that,
And what the fuck was I going to do. I
don't have a gun, like, I don't have anything to

(12:47):
protect me. So anyways, the moral of this story for
me is it's just stuff at the end of the day.
The sentimental value attached to it is what makes me emotional,
and like my hard earned money, someone gets to just
haul off with it. But it's just stuff, and the
people and the pups in my life that I care
the most about are fine, and so am I. So yeah,

(13:10):
it's really shitty, and I hope it doesn't happen again,
but I just need to get back that sense of
security that is now lost again, which is to me,
the most valuable thing and that's not something I can
go claim on an insurance form, and it's already been
something that's obviously in your mind been. It's PTSD all
over again. And that's what if you've been robbed or

(13:31):
you're somebody has been in your house and take it,
I guess that's robbery, you know how it's gross to
go back. I mean, that's also why I'm so grateful
your dogs weren't there, because I think I would have
panicked more if how he had been in the house,
and I would have been like, what did they do
to you? You know what I mean, even though he
would have been on his back wanting a belly rob

(13:51):
So that's fine, but you know, your dog's not the
same pace. But just kidding how he is very ferocious.
Everyone's always like your dogs are so crazy like that
they're like like like attack dogs, and I'm like, yeah,
that's actually what I want. Like, I mean, I I've
been sad that ninety nine percent of my friends, including you,
don't really want to come over because the dogs are crazy.

(14:12):
But if it's a deterrent then I'll take it. But yeah, anyways,
so it is. But it really is like when Willis
went missing when he was with the dog walker and
they couldn't find him for eight hours, and that whole
thing that is incrementally like a thousand times more upsetting
than somebody stealing my shit kind of personal. Dogs are
our kids, and that's anyway. So the dogs are safe.

(14:33):
I'm safe, Steve's great, and I don't have any persons,
and I'm only going to buy fake shit now. I'm
gonna carry Proto, I'm gonna carry Channel, I'm gonna carry
Gatchi Channel or fake Potegas because at this point, I'm
telling you it is not worth spending my hard earned
money as I'm schlepping couches around and going all over
different places to earn money, just to have someone else

(14:55):
haul off and take it. So that's what I've been
up to. What's happening in your net the woods. I
know it doesn't really compare. I'm sorry. That's all I
kept telling you after I talked to you is I'm
just so sorry, Like it just sucks. It's shitty seeing
your videos lipstick, Oh you can't tell. See that's the
thing too. I need to also stop watching those because

(15:16):
I'm doing my whole Perry Mason and like freeze. I'm
doing these things because their faces were covered. But then
they also like, again, I have all these angles and
I have audio. And then when they're at my front gate,
they were waiting for like the car to pick them up,
and so they're peering around and I was like I
could see their eyes and now I'm like every everything,
I'm like obsessing. Yeah, I'm obsessing about it. But yeah, yeah,

(15:40):
So that was a shitty week. But you know what,
in life, it's a reminder there's good weeks and there's
bad weeks, and we're gonna just mark this one up
as a bad week, but then turn that frown upside down.
I was so excited because I don't feel safe at
my house to get on the road and go interview
Mike and to install this house for a wonderful client.
And I'm reminded that I have a lot more good
than bad. So I'll just need to go to therapy

(16:03):
again for my safety issues. But that's enough. Emergency exits
are here, here, here, and here. You weren't there, your
dogs weren't there. Your boyfriend stepped up to the plate,
and that is the most important thing. But people suck,
and bad karma is coming that way. Karma is my boyfriend,
Karma is a cat. Oh oh my god, meow. I'm

(16:33):
gonna just like get in the mind of a criminal, though,
I want to like, what are you thinking? Like, I
don't know that they're not gonna get caught, paris that
they're not gonna get caught, because at this point, you know,
it's just that they're not going to get out. And
then you start getting careless with it. That's why you're
looking for clues, because it's like, give me a license plate.

(16:53):
Let me you know you're gonna get cast fuckers, you're
gonna get caught. You're gonna get caught. Fuck you, and
by the way, fuck you if you and here's my thing.
You might have rattled me. But I am a tough
bitch and I don't want to, you know, sometimes like
I don't want to have to be like, oh I
am woman, here may roar, like fuck, I want to
be a little delicate flower. But when life presents shit

(17:15):
like this, it's like, well, god damn, now I got
to be tough again and be this person that is
not vulnerable or not whatever, wondering like, oh, post this
on social media or don't post this on. Now I'm
having to second guess or think about all these things
where I had just gotten all that shit in my
rearview mirror. But look, there's a bigger reason behind everything.
Like I said, without belaboring this point, it's just it's

(17:36):
just stuff. But it's like you're in my house and
you're touching my bed. That's the worst part. Yeah, yeah,
like anyone that's had, like have you ever had your
car broken into? I have. I've actually even had where
I was moving in somewhere and the workers that were
moving something in deliberately stole something off my table as
I was like helping them upstairs. And then it was

(17:58):
just me living alone, and I went to say something
and they were like, no, she's a liar, and it's
like there's nothing you can do about it, Like you
have my shit in your car, you know, it's just like, yeah,
it's it's violating. The first time we were ever robbed
was in our old home and we oh yeah, oh,
we were robbed. They went through our kitchen window and

(18:20):
we didn't have a security system, and I remember the
one thing they took was our VCR and we were
so as a young kid, we were like in second grade.
I was in second grade, Kendro was younger, and my
poor mom, like, you know, to come home and see that,
she must have been so scared. But then all they
got away with I think. I mean, that's all my
mom told me was our VCR. But we were so

(18:41):
devastated because Mary Poppin's VHS was in there, Like we
didn't give us about the VCTA. I know, no, not
Mary Poppin. But then my dad, you know, crime solver
over here. He was going to like every like store
where you could resell electronics to see this stupid v
CR was there. He found it, found it, but no

(19:04):
Mary Poppins VHS. Oh my gosh. They that's what they wanted.
They robbed you for the Mary Poppy. I don't blame them.
Oh my god. No, that's my girlfriend, Julie, who she
used to be my stylas said extra has the funniest
nothing's funny about a break in, but again trying to
find levity. She has the funniest story from when she

(19:24):
was younger. She lived in Beverly Hills. Her dad was
Bob Hope's agent. They had a really nice house or whatever.
But she loved dancing, like that was her thing. So
she was in her bedroom blasting music like full footloose,
like you know, leg warm rose, dancing her entire house
got robbed while she was in her room dancing her mom.

(19:45):
Her mom comes home and opens the door and she's like, Julie,
we've been robbed. What is going on? And she's like,
I don't know. I've just been in here dancing. Can
you imagine being those robbers They like walk down the
hall and they're like, we're not opening that door, and
the music like drowned out whatever they were like rustling
around and taking rustling around. Russell Crowe, Russell Wilson. My

(20:05):
god is Gladiator. Well God, so your rose and thorn
of the week are my rose and thorn of the
week are thorn in my side? Is I don't have
any night. This is why we can't have nice things.
People are asked, I have no nice things. I have
no nice things anymore, and people are assholes. And the
rose is I have my health, I'm safe, and I

(20:28):
have good pups and good people around me. So that
is that you can't buy at the consignment store that
they're hauling shit off to, which, by the way, Steve
is like shining nice. Steve is like you're Steve. Guess
who has called every uh the real real He's called
all of the pawn shops. He like this guy listen
because then I wonder can you trace it back? Yeah?

(20:51):
For sure. No, that's smart of him. That's like my dad. Well,
I don't know. And some of his shit got stolen too,
His nice watch got stolen. Like it sucks. What's going
on in your world? We cannot, I mean, I don't

(21:11):
have much. He's been really and this is also a
downer on this show as well. We've been really captivated,
which is awful about this whole submarine looking for the Titanic?
Have you? I mean, I know you've had a lot
going on right now. This is awful. I have to say.
I woke up this morning like checking the news. That
was the first thing Jared said this morning too. He goes,
did they find the submarine? I mean? And then I

(21:34):
went back last night and we were talking about things
that we go to bed thinking about, like national news
stories and hoping when you wake up it's better. And
it brought me down this whole path of when my
sister and I were younger living in Florida. My mom
and dad went away for the weekend and JFK Junior's
plane went missing, and the whole day we watched the coverage.

(21:54):
And then the next morning I woke up and it
was like, is he found? Is he found? Do you
know what I did last night? I mean to psycho,
why do I do this stuff? I like YouTube JFK
Junior's plane, and I watched the coverage because my husband
was in Canada, Like I know, babe, how he wasn't
paying attention when JFK Junior went down, but like he
was just like I watched the whole coverage with him
last night. Crazy. I remember exactly where I was, my

(22:18):
track and field coach. This is so random that you
said that my track and field coach I used to
dog sit when his family would go out of town.
Luckily there wasn't a break in there, you know what
I mean. So, and I remember waking up and I
turned on the TV, and I I mean, like so
many of us had an obsession with the Kennedys and
Camelot and they were our American royalty. So when that

(22:38):
plane went down, and it's just this, oh my god,
this like you know, Romeo and Julie, not Romeo and Juliete.
We get it, but like this love of like their
great love with him and Carolyn Bassett and just for
that plane to go down was and the tragedy of
that family, like you can have all the fucking bags
you want, robbers and sunglasses and whatnot, but the tragedy
of the Kennedys, it's like, oh, oh my god, not

(23:01):
him too. Oh it was terrible, terrible. And then that
let many years ago was that it was ninety I
don't even know, but it was. Yeah, it has to be.
Sorry to interrupt you, babe, I'm just thinking this is
again my delusion on how old we are. I mean,
I was in high school, so it would have been
nineteen ninety nine. Maybe you've been twenty four, Yeah, maybe

(23:21):
in high school. I was watching the coverage last night
with Brian Williams. I was watching like and then they
were going back showing clips of him with the George magazine,
and like, you know, I love my husband, but like
he's like invested in hockey at this time. He's not
worried about us events, and he's like this guy was
a study, and I was like, this guy was the
hottest ds. She kind of had Sarah Jessica vibes to her, like,

(23:47):
you know, with the nose and the air and all that. Yeah,
that was crazy. And then I was talking style. Yeah. Yeah,
she was very simplistic. She would never be caught wearing
this rolling Stone shirt. She was like sophisticated. She was
like wearing like black, those black like silk dresses. Yeah,
she was. You know what, I've been watching the Arnold Schwarzenegger. Oh,

(24:11):
just watched that. He said it was interesting. You know,
I've i you know, from Afar. It's not like I've
been an Arnold like fan or anything, but I can respect.
I mean, here, you've got this immigrant actor that comes
over from Austria. He you know, becomes a US citizen
and becomes he's the Rock before the Way before the Rock,
you know, like the biggest Hollywood blockbuster movie star. But
just the political route and even his relationship with another Kennedy,

(24:34):
with Maria Shriver, another Kennedy exactly. And what a businessman
he was. Oh really, I don't know much about hi. Yeah,
very similar to Magic Johnson that they got into real
estate very early. He bought apartment complexes and he bought.
He was made a ton of before he made any
real money on movies. He made a lot of money
on real estate, which is why he could be selective

(24:56):
about his roles that he took in Hollywood because he's like,
I don't need to do that. I already have money.
So yeah, very interesting. I still have to watch the final,
the third part of it. I've watched the Yeah, people
are talking about that he was seen. I was watching
the coverage. I'm so psycho. We were watching the coverage
of the funeral for JFK Junior, and Muhammad al Li
was getting out of a limo to go in. Arnold

(25:19):
Schwartzenegger Maria Shreiver. Obviously she's at Kennedy. That's crazy. Want
to know something else, This is what a lovely dinner
we had on our vacation. We started, I don't know, oh,
we were talking about the submarine and all that, and
then we started talking about, of all things, the Challenger,
the spaceship that the space Shuttle that blew up. And

(25:39):
I was in school in Tampa at the time. I
was in third grade. So every time there was a
shuttle launch that was only forty five minutes from where
we were in school, we would run outside and watch it.
So that was obviously, I mean, a massive day. We
came back and watched footage on that and you know
what we watched, Would you do it? I know, so romantic?
I got do you want me to send you more

(26:00):
footage of my security? Yourtonus for punishment here? Because we
got nine angles that you could really just dive into
if you're looking to do some you know, shitty watching
of anything. Well, I think what was interesting with that
is we were watching the CNN footage of it and
when it happened, and they had microphones on the broadcasters
live event, right, I'm always so interested about that. The

(26:22):
people in the control room they're like, oh no, oh, no,
oh no. Then they're talking to the guy that is
kind of commentating and he's in anyways. Yeah, I found
myself getting emotional watching it. But you know what was
interesting that night was the State of the Union address
for Ronald Reagan and they were talking about how big
of a deal it was because he was going to

(26:43):
have to shift from what he was talking about to
talking about what we just saw and space travel and
what these astronauts they were brave and they were daring Chrisha.
He was probably so poetic. I'm actually he was perfect.
I am not trying to get political. I'm not trying
to get Republican Democrat. That's not what this is about.
He was lovely. I know he was an actor, but

(27:06):
we sat there. Even Jared was like, oh my god, like,
this is beautiful. It was fantastic. It was like being
a little girl and watching it. It was It was
what you should want out of your president. You know
what I'm saying, Like, not trying to be political, I'm
talking about everybody right now. You know. It was great
because you want someone in a time of crisis to

(27:29):
be steady and that is in it, whether it's in
your own house or whether it is the leader of
the free world. You want someone that is going to
grab the reins and say we got this, Like even
if it's terrible, we're going to keep going and we're
going to be stronger and we're going to you know,
overcome whatever the obstacle is. Yeah, that's I bet you.

(27:49):
I haven't seen that. I haven't watched that, but I
just imagine because he was very regal and had a
presence about him, so good looking. He was the original
person that said make America great again, which actually I
was on the Arnold Schwartzeninger documentary. There was a quick
little line that he had said, and I was like, oh, Trump,
you weren't original. But yeah, yeah, for those of you

(28:09):
still listening, I promise there's gonna be positivity in here somewhere,
because just leave it to us two gals to find
the silver lining. There's no quarters in our life, so
there might be a few turnovers in the second quarter,
but stick around because the halftime pep talk is amazing.
We're gonna turn this thing right around, sure are. And
with that we should probably end and go to our
other activities of the day, which is recording our pregame show.

(28:31):
But no, look like shit. This is like yeah, which,
by the way, shit, I need to call my parents
because and I know you know them, you should tell
them before this comes out. Well, this is what I
was saying, is because well, I didn't want to call
my dad on Father's Day and be like, hey, Dad,
this day is about you. Let me make it about me.

(28:51):
I was robbed, and what do parents. I don't want
to die Dad, you are robbed Dad? Because I know
my dad's going to be so upset. Yeah, And see,
isn't this funny that like there's a shift in life
at this point in our life where we worry about them. Yeah,
I feel like more than they actually worry about us.
That's not true. They worry about us all the time,
which is why I don't want to tell my parents
because everything that I've been through. When I had that

(29:12):
that hacking happen, my parents flew down and my parents
now weren't like rushed to my side, like they're very
much like we're here to support you. We will be
there if you want us to be, We'll be as
far away like they're just they're so good at like
reading the room and like the temperature of like what
it is that I need. But then my mom just
like knows if I Sometimes you just need your mom,

(29:32):
you know. And so I remember them flying down and
came in my house and when that whole thing happened,
and I just was crying, and my Dad's like, we're
going to get through it, and we're gonna, you know,
we're gonna this is not going to be your story.
This is one chapter and we're going to keep going.
And you're the author of your story, and you get decided.
You know, how you reacts not what happens to you.

(29:52):
It's how you react to what happens to you. So
I want to for life tell them, But yeah, I
just don't want them to worry about me, because you know,
they also deserve to live their own life. And that's
the thing too, And when you're a parent, you worry forever.
So I love you and thank you for being there
when I was not in a good place the last

(30:14):
few days. But yeah, this too shall pass, and I'm
going to put barbed wire, and if anyone thinks about
fucking robbing me again, I think twice, because there are
now even more measures, drastic measures I'm taking, which I
thought i'd already done enough, But you bought a dragon.
Things are about to get nuclear around my house. There's

(30:34):
going to be booby traps and all sorts of things.
You think twice before coming over that fence, baby Ruth,
I look like that right now. My god, I drank
an entire bottle less So I got in from the
McDaniel interview last night to where I'm at right now,
and I drank an entire bottle of wine. That's okay,
I was doing this how oh I didn't. I mean,

(30:56):
my face will tell you how swollen it is. But
that's like my this is my happy place. When I
get to walk into a client's house and they have
all of the things that I've ordered and set up
for the last you know, few months, and I get
to unbox it, it's like Christmas morning, but it's their stuff. Yeah,
and I just get to arrange everything, and so it's
very cathartic for me. And I think that that's kind
of the irony of this whole thing is I started

(31:17):
a company to make other people love their houses. And
the entire company is called House and Home, and it's like,
I want you to love your home, and now the
thing I hate the most is my home. Like that sucks,
but anywhof you're trying to make a home with somebody
who made you feel really, really really safe. Listen, guys,

(31:38):
I am not like Peaches and Cream, you know over here,
like miss what a right song? Yeah? Prince? It was good,
Prince that Prince? Was it one twelve Peaches in Cream?
You need it because you know that that was like
a dirty song? Yes? Where am I thinking about this? Anyways?
I don't know, But what I'm thinking of is trying
to put a loop on like I'm not missus, like, hey,

(31:59):
usually my it's been really good at this. It's like
trying to find the positive. But this has just been
such a shitty time that I'm like, Okay, let's think
about this. You weren't there, your dogs weren't there. And
Steve is like just validating what a great person he
is and why he's in your life and why you
found him. And that's what I'm trying. You're trying to
make homes for other people and make them feel safe,

(32:19):
and he is a part of your home and that's
why we all love him. And well, now, car, now
this is a whole question which I'm gonna I'm going
to open this up because again another reason why he's
so great. He doesn't care what I talk about. We
don't live together, and you know how I've been adverse
to living together because of my past and feeling like
my space is my space any time. But I go.

(32:41):
I said to him, my go, should I guess? Should
we live together now? And he's like, you need to
make that decision. But I'm like, shit, He's so sweet.
He's like, yeah, but that needs you don't make the
decision because you're emotional about this. So, yeah, who's this calling?
Is this the police? I wish hello? AnyWho? Hello? Is
that you?

Speaker 2 (33:01):
Hello?

Speaker 1 (33:02):
Well, next week's going to be a better week. We
will wait details on that storyline. If you've decided to
move in together, I say two thumbs up on my end.
Before I was like, Eh, let's give it some time,
sorry Steve, But now two thumbs up. Let's go. We're
big Steve. People in our house love you. It's going
to get better. Listen to Karmel on repeat. Yeah, I
think I just need a break. In the last five years,

(33:24):
between the hacking and the stocking, the inside the home nonsense,
and now this, I'm like, can I just take a
Can I just get a break? But again, this is
not a woe was so much. There is a lot
as of you, and there's a lot of people that
have been through a lot worse. And that's the thing.
I mean, this is so somewhere over the rainbow. But

(33:44):
like Tuck, if you don't have your health and you
don't have your people around you, then I mean that's
the biggest step. So I am trying to be positive
about a shitty situation because really in the big scheme
of things, That's what it's all about. So dotor Bet,
I love you, Thank you per usual for being there
and our I really really love our Calm Down community,
and I appreciate them very much because this is something

(34:06):
that you know, when we started this, we were like, oh,
this is going to just be fun, and we jump
into serious topics on some stuff, and I always feel
supported by the wonderful people that take the time out
of their lives to listen to what's going on in
our So thank you for making it a safe space
to share positive and negative things and go get them.
