few technical difficulties recording the audio on this episode, so
we hope that you can look past that, or listen
(00:22):
past it rather and enjoy it as much as we
all did.
Speaker 2 (00:29):
Are we going to just.
Speaker 3 (00:30):
Dive in take it away?
Speaker 4 (00:32):
Bev?
Speaker 5 (00:34):
Well, today is very very exciting because we have a
guest from very very far away from the side of
the other side of the world, from another.
Speaker 4 (00:43):
Mister, a sister from Plot Twist.
Speaker 2 (00:46):
Yes, yes, you guys.
Speaker 5 (00:51):
This is another episode of Catching Up with the Camdens.
Thank you so much for joining us. I'm Beverly Mitchell,
I'm David Gallagher, and I'm mcancie last one, and our
special guest is Hi, it's you and she is having
to hear herself twice. So this is going to be
a fun, fun adventure.
Speaker 6 (01:11):
In true catching up of the Canyon's fashion. We have
technical difficulties you're dealing with because we don't know how
technology works.
Speaker 2 (01:17):
So because we're from.
Speaker 5 (01:19):
The nineties and technology is always have technical difficulties.
Speaker 3 (01:23):
This is not our first day.
Speaker 4 (01:24):
We have this recorded on VHS, so it's great.
Speaker 7 (01:29):
Yeah, I mean we're going to video quality.
Speaker 5 (01:32):
It's the best, right, we gotta go old school because
and we have had so much fun kind of I mean,
have you even watched any episodes?
Speaker 4 (01:41):
All of them?
Speaker 7 (01:41):
No?
Speaker 5 (01:42):
Not you. I'm asking Jess, I know, where are you
forgetting you?
Speaker 7 (01:49):
I really like to three of you guys off.
Speaker 3 (01:51):
This couch is also from the nineties. Yes, you synk right.
In's great.
Speaker 5 (01:57):
Do you also remember this is my old house.
Speaker 4 (02:02):
This is where she hooked Mike.
Speaker 2 (02:04):
Yeah, hooked.
Speaker 5 (02:08):
Yeah, girl, we had many and we had many a
night where we had sleepovers and Jesse came over and
slept over here.
Speaker 7 (02:15):
That's true. I love that house.
Speaker 2 (02:17):
Yes, we had it. We had a lot of good memories.
Speaker 7 (02:18):
Actually, you guys were there. That's cool.
Speaker 5 (02:21):
Yeah. And strangely enough, I drove by my one bad
decision that Jesse supported me on, drove by tattoo time today.
Yeah yeah, yeah, because I was like, hey, I should
I should get a tattoo.
Speaker 2 (02:34):
Jesse's like, I'm coming with you.
Speaker 5 (02:37):
You down, Yeah, yeah, I drove by today. I was like, yeah,
that's the And every time the kids asked me, like,
what's that on your back?
Speaker 2 (02:44):
I'm like, that is a bad decision.
Speaker 3 (02:46):
Jesse is a great idea. I support this fully.
Speaker 8 (02:49):
And yeah, you knew and have always told that I
am not terribly classy, make very bad.
Speaker 7 (02:58):
So the practice you let me have an opinion about.
Speaker 3 (03:05):
She just wanted you to say, yeah, let's go, and
you did well. She knew exactly well.
Speaker 5 (03:10):
I also I think it was like that was me
being wild and crazy.
Speaker 2 (03:13):
That's as wild and crazy as I have ever gotten.
Speaker 7 (03:17):
Tattoo.
Speaker 5 (03:18):
It's because it's terrible, because you know, most people have
like tattoos that like you think of like, oh this
has meaning, this has.
Speaker 4 (03:25):
Purpose, it's mine.
Speaker 5 (03:28):
Mine was a flower on the wall.
Speaker 2 (03:31):
Mine was just a business.
Speaker 7 (03:38):
Something.
Speaker 8 (03:39):
I want to I'd like to put on the record
that I remember being very confirmed about the fact that
you were picking it off the wall.
Speaker 2 (03:47):
Well where else am I supposed to pick a tattoo
from your brain?
Speaker 4 (03:51):
In personal meaning?
Speaker 7 (03:52):
I don't know something of substance.
Speaker 2 (03:58):
No, I made the thing off the wall half substance.
Speaker 5 (04:01):
I remember picking it off the wall, being like, it's
a high biscus flower. It reminds me of Mexico, and
I don't think that the high biscus flower is very
I don't know, Jess.
Speaker 3 (04:11):
You were in charge, and I blame you for this.
You let her pick it up.
Speaker 7 (04:15):
She did hold my hand, which was concerned about the
wall pick. But don't forget she's older than me.
Speaker 4 (04:21):
So yeah, it's on her.
Speaker 7 (04:22):
What am I going?
Speaker 5 (04:23):
And I'm also extremely stubborn, so Jesse just knew one
one fight to pick.
Speaker 7 (04:27):
I'm not you have to be scary back, but I was,
like secretly a little afraid.
Speaker 5 (04:33):
Of her, speaking of which we I don't that's actually
a very bad transition. But we have explored some of
Mary's finest storylines, and there's some.
Speaker 2 (04:46):
Real good ones.
Speaker 3 (04:47):
There are some good ones.
Speaker 6 (04:48):
But before we get into any of those, in particular, Jess,
we've we've sat down with Catherine and Barry and with
you here. I want to start by you kind of
get giving us your like what's your story of how
this started? Like what's what's Jesse's version of like how
seventh Heaven fell in your lap and came to be?
Speaker 3 (05:10):
How we came together?
Speaker 8 (05:11):
Yeah, I think it was just so it was like
I was an audition like any other audition that I had.
One of those pilot seasons, the third pilot season.
Speaker 7 (05:22):
I was in.
Speaker 8 (05:22):
La Colorado with my family, and I remember thinking, a
cool character because she's a basketball player and I was
an athlete.
Speaker 7 (05:32):
I was like, Oh, I can act to this. You know, I'm.
Speaker 8 (05:36):
Twelve or thirteen, No, thirteen, I was thirteen at the time,
and I just remember going into the audition, going in
for a callback. I don't know if there was another one,
But then I remember showing up at that big crazy
Network daye we have all of.
Speaker 3 (05:54):
You guys at the ranch.
Speaker 2 (05:56):
Yeah, the ranch, and.
Speaker 8 (05:58):
How wild that kind of experience was. And I also
remember that in my audition I had to well the character,
the merry character was spinning a basketball on her finger. Yeah,
so I did that in the audition without a basket.
Speaker 4 (06:19):
What a choice?
Speaker 7 (06:21):
Like, who encouraged me to do that?
Speaker 8 (06:24):
I'm like, like an invisible ball.
Speaker 3 (06:33):
That's amazing.
Speaker 7 (06:35):
What a weird choice.
Speaker 8 (06:36):
I kind of feel embarrassed about that, but I don't know,
maybe it was effective.
Speaker 2 (06:40):
Mean they just I think it worked.
Speaker 7 (06:42):
Person decided to do that, She's she's perfect.
Speaker 8 (06:47):
I remember that big Network day and then I remember
getting a call.
Speaker 7 (06:53):
With my mom.
Speaker 8 (06:55):
I she had a cell phone and they called my
mom and we were on sitting in the car driving somewhere.
We got the call to and I got the show.
That's kind of how my story started.
Speaker 7 (07:07):
And then I saw you.
Speaker 2 (07:09):
Guys get yeah.
Speaker 3 (07:10):
Yeah, that's awesome.
Speaker 5 (07:11):
And I also remember at that network thing, you and
I like exchanged photos and like you signed one, like
being like.
Speaker 2 (07:18):
Hope we get to do this together.
Speaker 5 (07:19):
And I just remember I I but I didn't do
that with any other any of the other actors that
were trying out for Mary.
Speaker 2 (07:26):
It was just you.
Speaker 3 (07:27):
I had my photos on me.
Speaker 2 (07:29):
You didn't you weren't.
Speaker 5 (07:31):
Yeah, no, I remember I was intimidated by you because
you were from like big movies, and I was like,
I can't. I can't talk to him, like he's like
a real actor.
Speaker 2 (07:40):
I'm like, I'm here, like wanna be so.
Speaker 4 (07:42):
I'm scared of you.
Speaker 3 (07:43):
I remember, Jess. I don't know if you remember, but
I remember.
Speaker 6 (07:45):
Talking to you at the at the ranch thing and
you and I sat back and we're talking about.
Speaker 3 (07:50):
Pizza, like pizza places.
Speaker 6 (07:52):
We were, Yeah, that was our that we were like
waiting to go in or whatever, and we were we
were talking about our favorite pizza and so like this
weird like flash memory that I have of you at
the ranch when we were sitting around in the waiting area.
Speaker 7 (08:07):
Oh my god, that is a lifetime ago.
Speaker 3 (08:09):
Yeah, I really was.
Speaker 7 (08:11):
We all went in together, yep.
Speaker 8 (08:13):
Yeah, and then they kept a lot of us together
and would do some.
Speaker 7 (08:19):
He spends a lot of time together.
Speaker 2 (08:21):
Totally, and them staring at us.
Speaker 4 (08:24):
It was weird.
Speaker 5 (08:24):
It was weird because we were all kind of like
lined up and everybody was like looking at us, and
it was like, uh, oh.
Speaker 4 (08:32):
I'm sort of glad I don't remember this.
Speaker 2 (08:38):
Mag was traumatized because she was like so little.
Speaker 7 (08:41):
I mean, the whole thing is kind of crazy. If
you think about it. You walk into us like a
bunch of adults sitting on a.
Speaker 8 (08:46):
Giant table staring at him, strange preteens like like we.
Speaker 7 (08:52):
Don't know what they're together.
Speaker 5 (08:55):
We watched some of the we're rewatching, so we watch
some of the episodes, and we saw all of your
basketball talent.
Speaker 4 (09:04):
So much of it there was almost too much to
fit in any episode.
Speaker 2 (09:07):
Yeah you're yeah, you were.
Speaker 7 (09:10):
I've always been excluding off the screen with I was.
Speaker 2 (09:14):
Yeah, I mean at least you.
Speaker 5 (09:15):
You didn't fall as much as I did, because you
mean you or I mean one and the same, right
kind of yeah, kind of.
Speaker 6 (09:26):
Yeah, our choreography was not our strength.
Speaker 3 (09:30):
I don't think we had other strengths.
Speaker 9 (09:32):
But we're coming to realize that we actually did have
quite a few stunts on the show. Actually, yeah, now, like.
Speaker 4 (09:37):
Almost a stunt in every episode.
Speaker 3 (09:38):
Well, there was a.
Speaker 10 (09:39):
Stunt in the pilot where you fell down, and apparently
we had a stunt coordinator for when you fell fell
into Jeff, which in the we had a stunt coordinator
for it.
Speaker 2 (09:51):
Yep, we found that though.
Speaker 8 (09:53):
Yeah, you know, my body is very it's a temple
and I.
Speaker 7 (09:59):
Don't want to dirty.
Speaker 2 (10:03):
Actually, we were trying to figure this out.
Speaker 5 (10:04):
Do you remember there was one time we couldn't figure
out if it was you or if it was another act,
but we don't remember who it was. Somebody fell on
the ramp going up There is chicken.
Speaker 4 (10:15):
It was chicken, and but she was off her face.
Speaker 2 (10:18):
Yeah she was.
Speaker 4 (10:19):
Was she on an episode of seven?
Speaker 9 (10:21):
No, there was she was. Yeah, she was on the show,
but like obviously we weren't filming.
Speaker 5 (10:27):
By the way, her name was not it's not like
chicken is in an animal.
Speaker 2 (10:30):
It was Oh, so it was chicken. It was her
because I couldn't remember.
Speaker 4 (10:34):
Yeah, she fell and had.
Speaker 9 (10:35):
To complete off the side of the ramp, and then
we weren't allowed to walk in the ramp.
Speaker 2 (10:41):
We weren't allowed to jump off the ramp.
Speaker 6 (10:42):
No, we used to jump because the ramp was like sideways,
so I'd run from the trailers and jump up the ramp.
Speaker 3 (10:48):
We all did it.
Speaker 9 (10:49):
She is the like uncoordinated award. Actually, okay, that's fine,
run her up.
Speaker 5 (10:53):
But do you did have an injury on set one
time that we had to like shoot around.
Speaker 2 (10:57):
I forgot what it was though.
Speaker 4 (10:58):
Did anyone send their acting coach to the hospital?
Speaker 7 (11:01):
Did you do that?
Speaker 4 (11:02):
Yeah? She tried to grab scissors from me, like blade first,
and I was just like.
Speaker 7 (11:09):
You cut her fingers off, not.
Speaker 4 (11:11):
Intentionally, I like, you know this fleshy part between here.
Speaker 3 (11:15):
Oh, give me this.
Speaker 4 (11:17):
Oh, it wasn't intentional. There was a lot of this
is what the.
Speaker 2 (11:24):
Journey here.
Speaker 5 (11:25):
We're learning so much about what happened in those eleven years.
Speaker 4 (11:29):
Jesse, what did you do?
Speaker 2 (11:30):
What was your injury?
Speaker 8 (11:33):
I think what you're talking about is the soccer sprain.
Speaker 5 (11:37):
Oh is that what it was wear that giant Yeah,
long time, and.
Speaker 2 (11:42):
I think we had to shoot around it.
Speaker 5 (11:43):
So we were just like always shot above said boot right.
Speaker 7 (11:48):
Correct, Like seated at a table for a long time.
Speaker 2 (11:51):
You just always sitting.
Speaker 9 (11:54):
Oh my god, remember that I broke my finger when
we were shooting, did you?
Speaker 4 (11:59):
Yeah, on a dirt bike.
Speaker 2 (12:00):
That would have been later season.
Speaker 9 (12:02):
It was a birthday party. You were there, We were
all there. Actually it was a big birthday party at
the ranch. And I ran out of talent.
Speaker 2 (12:08):
You ran out of talent?
Speaker 4 (12:10):
Yeah?
Speaker 2 (12:11):
Yeah, Oops, I've never heard that phrase.
Speaker 7 (12:16):
It happens. I don't think i've heard.
Speaker 4 (12:18):
Because I never went out of talent, Beth.
Speaker 2 (12:20):
Oh, I was lacking talents and start wins. Oh, I
think that's the problem.
Speaker 5 (12:25):
No, well, we're gonna take a quick break and we'll
be right back with Jesse.
Speaker 8 (12:37):
Guys were making well.
Speaker 2 (12:40):
We left them, were making you giggle.
Speaker 4 (12:42):
Jesse. I just remember like those Adidas slides that never had.
Speaker 9 (12:47):
Yeah, it's like you had one pair of shoes basically
for five years.
Speaker 7 (12:51):
I mean, do you remember my wardrobe?
Speaker 4 (12:53):
Yeah, weatpants.
Speaker 5 (12:55):
No, your wardrobe and your wardrobe was all the Adidas,
all the baggy stuff.
Speaker 9 (12:59):
And then you went through a girly phase where you
actually wore dresses and things like that we really want really, Yeah.
Speaker 5 (13:05):
I mean we've we have been seeing some there's I
thought your wardrobe and my what I remember was a
lot of like blacks and blue, like navy blues and grays.
But in recent episodes you were wearing orange pants.
Speaker 7 (13:20):
Orange pants.
Speaker 2 (13:21):
Yeah, I actually.
Speaker 8 (13:22):
Think that I'm wearing right now is pretty merry. It
is very it is very very like a giant shirt.
Speaker 7 (13:29):
Yeah.
Speaker 2 (13:30):
I mean we can't see your pants, but.
Speaker 5 (13:32):
You don't really want you're not wearing pants.
Speaker 7 (13:37):
I yeah, not wearing pants.
Speaker 4 (13:40):
That's the zoom wardrobe, zoom style.
Speaker 2 (13:44):
And I was, I was. My wardrobe was always next
to your wardrobe.
Speaker 5 (13:48):
And mine was like overly colorful and a lot of dickies.
Speaker 4 (13:54):
And juicy couture and sweatsuit and every color I had.
Speaker 7 (13:59):
I did mini skirts, who were to skirts like flat kids.
Speaker 5 (14:04):
Yeahs Yeah, we had quite a What I do remember
is all of us had a very distinct wardrobe. You
went into the you went into see Sherry, and it
was very clear.
Speaker 2 (14:15):
Was there ever like something that they wanted.
Speaker 7 (14:18):
You to wear that You're like, No, I don't remember.
Speaker 5 (14:25):
Isn't it crazy how much we don't remember.
Speaker 2 (14:27):
It's been funny, Like it's insane.
Speaker 5 (14:30):
It's like we've when we're revisiting some of these episodes,
like we forgot some of these storylines. I mean, you
stole a cup, and I think you vandalized a gym, Mary, Yeah.
Speaker 3 (14:42):
The beginning of Mary's downfall.
Speaker 5 (14:43):
Yeah, that was that was when Mary was really getting
into some trouble when I think you you t peed
a gym.
Speaker 2 (14:51):
I think that's what it was.
Speaker 7 (14:52):
Oh yeah, yeah, that sounds right. Yeah.
Speaker 5 (14:54):
And then also you almost you went to court for
stealing a cup.
Speaker 2 (14:58):
I think right.
Speaker 9 (14:58):
I think there was something like that, oh from basal
cup from the pizza which, by the way, one of
those ugly I would get in some shower door kind
of looking what like a solo cup, No, like like
one of those ones that looked like the shower doors
you can't see through cups like those plastic cafeteria cups.
Speaker 2 (15:20):
It was from the din.
Speaker 6 (15:22):
It was from the diner, and that's what gets you
in legal trouble and didn't marry because she picked off
the basketball team.
Speaker 2 (15:29):
It was definitely an extreme.
Speaker 5 (15:31):
It was one of those where I'm like, wow, I
would get in a lot of trouble because I'm sure
in my past I may or may not have stolen
a towel from a hotel.
Speaker 3 (15:42):
You would feel bad about that?
Speaker 2 (15:45):
What is that like?
Speaker 5 (15:46):
I mean, I feel like that's me, like you know,
being really like, that's.
Speaker 7 (15:50):
That must have been some towel.
Speaker 5 (15:53):
It was grease, and I thought it had being and memory.
Speaker 3 (15:57):
Well, now they're going to narrow it down.
Speaker 2 (15:59):
Yeah, you mean there's a statue of limitations. It's been
a long time and I'm not going back.
Speaker 4 (16:04):
So they can't rest increase.
Speaker 2 (16:06):
Well, they can't stopped.
Speaker 4 (16:08):
Don't go back.
Speaker 5 (16:09):
Yeah, but I mean, do you have we had We
had Cheryl on and she says hello, yes, Eryld Diamonds.
Speaker 4 (16:21):
She's about to be a grandma.
Speaker 5 (16:22):
She was recalling some of our hi jinks in the
trailer and our different studying styles.
Speaker 4 (16:29):
Do you remember the chicken?
Speaker 7 (16:32):
What chicken?
Speaker 9 (16:33):
Apparently science Bob brought chicken and you would do we
have homework with the chicken sitting on your shoulder and
there's photographic evidence, and I kind of do remember the chicken.
Speaker 4 (16:42):
Now it was a blonde chicken.
Speaker 2 (16:44):
Just just the difference is studying style.
Speaker 5 (16:47):
You studied with a live chicken.
Speaker 7 (16:52):
I don't think that's true.
Speaker 4 (16:55):
Photos said chicken on your right shoulder.
Speaker 2 (16:58):
We have to share it with you. It's well, it's hilarious.
Not only is it makes.
Speaker 3 (17:03):
You feel better, Jess, I don't remember the chicken either.
Speaker 4 (17:05):
But sorry, we ate it for lunch.
Speaker 2 (17:08):
Oh, don't go dark.
Speaker 5 (17:12):
It was a cute chicken that was like sad.
Speaker 4 (17:14):
So is the chicken I had yesterday?
Speaker 2 (17:16):
Yeah, Oh my gosh.
Speaker 7 (17:18):
I remember the chicken at all.
Speaker 5 (17:20):
I didn't either until I saw the picture and I
was like, oh, for real, we had a chicken on
the trailer.
Speaker 4 (17:25):
So okay, yeah, I remember it now.
Speaker 5 (17:28):
But you know, and what do you have any I mean,
this is hard because I know we've we've asked it
and it's been challenging for all of us. But like
your favorite memories or anything that like sticks out from
you know, our glorious set.
Speaker 9 (17:45):
Like anything that sticks out like the schoolroom corner of
the school room.
Speaker 2 (17:51):
Oh, she's talking about the school room situation?
Speaker 7 (17:54):
What school room situation?
Speaker 2 (17:56):
We're driving situation? Do you remember?
Speaker 7 (17:59):
I was, honestly, I was just waiting. I went.
Speaker 8 (18:06):
That I was going to say, I was going to say, oh, yeah,
the camaraderie between.
Speaker 7 (18:12):
Us all and how we.
Speaker 8 (18:13):
Just had such a nice would work as kids.
Speaker 7 (18:18):
All right, you can hear about the real.
Speaker 8 (18:22):
I opped the clutch and my parents brew when I
had my uh learner's permit, not my real license, and
uh flew backwards reversed into Mackenzie's school trailer and did
it off.
Speaker 11 (18:37):
It's it's support.
Speaker 7 (18:40):
What do you supports? Broke the computer right, really well.
Speaker 2 (18:45):
I mean everything in the trailer kind of got shook up.
Speaker 8 (18:47):
Everything got the computer got smashed, my parents car got smashed,
and I almost hit my.
Speaker 9 (18:53):
You really messed up my organ trail game there. It
all died a dysentery thanks to you.
Speaker 2 (19:01):
Oh my god.
Speaker 5 (19:02):
I just I just and I just remember you come
screaming into the studio because we were shooting and you
were just like so shook up, and I was like,
what happened? And then we went out, but it was raining,
I mean it was dark, and I mean, let's never
tell me that we all haven't had like really terrible
driving mishouse.
Speaker 2 (19:21):
I don't know how to work no one.
Speaker 4 (19:22):
No one knows about them and gets to make fun
of me for them.
Speaker 2 (19:24):
So I don't know how to work a clutch.
Speaker 5 (19:26):
So I mean the fact that you were even trying
try to drive stick.
Speaker 4 (19:30):
That's another episode. I'll teach you how to drive a stick.
Speaker 2 (19:32):
I don't know that I want to learn.
Speaker 7 (19:33):
I would like to see that episode.
Speaker 2 (19:34):
No, I don't want to be a part of it.
Speaker 7 (19:37):
Okay, I'm a good teacher.
Speaker 9 (19:39):
I've taught three people how to drive a stick and
two how to drive a motorcycle. So we can get
you on two wheels too.
Speaker 5 (19:45):
Nope, yeah, we need to do I don't think I
should be on tree wheels.
Speaker 7 (19:48):
I also want to see that I was riding.
Speaker 9 (19:52):
I'll be like riding my bicycle next to you and
be like, shit, that's how we do it.
Speaker 7 (20:00):
I think you one of all of us, one of
all of us can do vehicles. That's you Mac.
Speaker 8 (20:08):
Yeah, I mean you too dated, but like mackyrels, you're
solid in that world.
Speaker 7 (20:14):
Yeah.
Speaker 3 (20:15):
No, I don't drive shift. That's that's Mac. Mac handles that.
That'll be her department.
Speaker 9 (20:20):
Well you guys too. You don't even have to drive
it all with your current vehicles.
Speaker 2 (20:24):
So no, because we have a test, right, they just
drive themselves.
Speaker 3 (20:28):
I enjoy driving my car. I don't use that feature much.
Speaker 9 (20:30):
I don't I never just use the fart feature like
that'd be my favorite thing.
Speaker 3 (20:35):
That's hilarious.
Speaker 4 (20:36):
Yeah, you can make like every sound that.
Speaker 7 (20:41):
I did not know that.
Speaker 6 (20:42):
I mean, it's not something that they like paperwork. When
you buy it, you know your way.
Speaker 8 (20:47):
Yeah.
Speaker 5 (20:48):
Yeah, And you can also pick the location of the
fart so you can do it in the passenger side,
you can do it in the in the back seat,
so I.
Speaker 12 (21:00):
Yeah, I thought you you could have them like like
a part that comes out of your part that comes
out of.
Speaker 5 (21:13):
I mean, how I'm pretty am I never mind, I'm
not going to put myself out there with the question I.
Speaker 4 (21:22):
Was about to ask.
Speaker 3 (21:24):
It's probably good.
Speaker 2 (21:25):
No, I'm not gonna do it. No, I did not.
Speaker 5 (21:33):
I mean, this is this is our life. We always
get sidetracked, didn't get lost.
Speaker 4 (21:39):
There isn't enough ad D medicine in the world for
this show.
Speaker 2 (21:45):
Well, we we're.
Speaker 5 (21:46):
Gonna take a quick break and we'll be right back
and we're going to dive into more which asked, and.
Speaker 4 (21:59):
We're back a big break. I got a lot of time.
Speaker 2 (22:02):
It was a quick quick break.
Speaker 5 (22:05):
Because Jesse, you also were the first. Well I left
to go to college, but I didn't really leave because
I just went down the street. But you actually like
in season was it season six that you left and
went you went to Tufts?
Speaker 3 (22:20):
You were the first of us out right or was
it very Nope, Jess, it was Jess, you were the
first one to go.
Speaker 7 (22:26):
Done by that?
Speaker 2 (22:28):
Oh he was.
Speaker 7 (22:30):
Yeah, guys, wasn't he like.
Speaker 4 (22:31):
He was thirty in the pilot? Right?
Speaker 3 (22:33):
Was he thirty?
Speaker 5 (22:34):
So no, he said that, he said he was twenty one.
He also likes to say that we had like a
really big.
Speaker 4 (22:41):
Crush on him. We did, well, I had a crush
so much every time.
Speaker 2 (22:47):
I mean, I guess we did have a crush. We
did like we did.
Speaker 3 (22:50):
The worst secret it's the worst.
Speaker 5 (22:53):
Also actually, speaking of the pilot episode, did you or
did you not have to kiss Bear in that pilot?
We're gonna ask because we've been talking about it because
we thought it but that were like we know it
didn't it never made it to air, but I couldn't
remember if you guys actually had to shoot it.
Speaker 2 (23:12):
And I think you.
Speaker 4 (23:14):
May have to get to I mean it sounds like
it was.
Speaker 2 (23:16):
Like, I mean it would have been a get to then,
but went I have to now.
Speaker 7 (23:21):
But honestly, she's got a mental walk was real or not?
Did it actually happen.
Speaker 3 (23:32):
It's all part of this swirling nightmare in my head
that you guys are bringing up.
Speaker 2 (23:36):
I know Jesse's gonna like she she's gonna she's gonna
be therapy after this. She's like, I remembering all these things.
Speaker 7 (23:43):
I do think we shot it.
Speaker 8 (23:44):
I think you think at the time everybody was like,
this isn't really it's gonna work.
Speaker 7 (23:51):
Everybody sees not the best move for this. Siblings on
the show. Yeah, I think my fourteen year old self.
Speaker 5 (24:04):
Yay, Yeah, you had in season one. I've already seen
a few makeout sessions on the show. I mean someone,
I mean you started it and then apparently I just
like finished it with all the to come because there
was a lot of there was a lot of kissing.
Speaker 2 (24:26):
Actually, Barry Barry had a new Oh yeah, you sang
on the show too.
Speaker 7 (24:31):
Yeah, I think so.
Speaker 5 (24:33):
And you also had some killer dance moves in the
Halloween episode that it was very cute. That was like
the footlooset type of situation.
Speaker 4 (24:40):
Oh yeah, I can so identify with that.
Speaker 9 (24:43):
And you were very charming a house to yourself and
they were like parents, your alone time.
Speaker 13 (24:50):
It's just like, yeah, you were really cute when you
get old enough that your parents with you alone or
somewhat alone.
Speaker 7 (25:02):
My kids interested in being left home alone, you know.
Speaker 2 (25:07):
Yeah, Hutton would love that.
Speaker 5 (25:08):
I'm terrified of what he may or may not do
at the house by himself. I'm pretty much all he's
gonna do is like try to play video games.
Speaker 3 (25:18):
I'm pretty sure you could have left me home alone.
I would have been fine. I would have been right
where you left me when you got back.
Speaker 7 (25:25):
Yeah, you've been like years old ever since like eight.
Speaker 2 (25:29):
Yeah, you you've been mature. You were very young and
mature all at the same all right, I'll take it.
Speaker 3 (25:36):
Yeah, yeah, yeah you guys.
Speaker 2 (25:40):
No, No, I know it's crazy, do you.
Speaker 5 (25:43):
David just celebrated birthday and joined us in the forty club.
Speaker 7 (25:47):
Oh my god, that's so weird, isn't it weird? I
don't it's so weird meet in the forty club. It's
weird to me that you are in.
Speaker 3 (25:59):
I don't know. I don't think I felt weird about thirty.
I didn't. I don't feel anything about forty. It's fine.
I feel it feels normal. I don't know it.
Speaker 9 (26:07):
Maybe it hasn't hit me yet like thirties where you're like, oh,
I'm no longer a young adult really, you know, it's
just like an extension of thirty.
Speaker 8 (26:17):
I agree, though, And I felt I didn't feel anything
ex negative about being forty. Yeah, I was like whatever.
Speaker 3 (26:26):
In school, Yeah, exactly already I'm used to being an
adult at this point.
Speaker 2 (26:31):
I still do not feel like when I turned.
Speaker 6 (26:33):
Thirty it was like, this is weird that I'm not
like a young adult anymore or whatever, I'm not in
my twenties. That felt kind of like a weird thing,
But forty felt fine.
Speaker 9 (26:43):
People have stopped telling you you've got your whole life
ahead of you, Like at some point they stopped saying
that to you. Wait a minute, especially when I haven't
heard that in years.
Speaker 7 (26:55):
Now you hear, hey, this is the best it's going
to get.
Speaker 3 (26:58):
Yeah yeah that ye yes, enjoy it well, lasts.
Speaker 5 (27:04):
Well, it's been like and it's been fun kind of
reconnecting with everyone.
Speaker 2 (27:10):
I mean, luckily, you.
Speaker 5 (27:11):
And I we've been able to stay in touch, and
we've got the kiddos that are close in age, which
has been really fun and like it's it's weird how
we really are like this, like weird family that like it's.
Speaker 3 (27:27):
We don't think it's weird, I mean not weird.
Speaker 5 (27:30):
I'm the only child, so I'm still struggling to figure
everything's weird for me. Great, it is great. It is great,
like and it's been. It's so much fun, kind of
like reconnecting. And the fans are just you know, they
just they love Mary.
Speaker 2 (27:47):
And so this is I.
Speaker 5 (27:48):
Think everybody's gonna be really excited to like kind of
hear yours.
Speaker 3 (27:51):
Yes, everyone's going to be super hype to see you,
just as we are.
Speaker 2 (27:54):
As we always are.
Speaker 5 (27:55):
And I mean, and the fact that you're joining us
from Budapest is so cool.
Speaker 8 (28:00):
Well it's it's wild that I didn't expect over here.
But it's a cool, cool place. And actually my my
ancestors on my dad's side, they're from Hungary, which now
is actually in Slovakia.
Speaker 7 (28:15):
So I'm like in the Motherland.
Speaker 2 (28:17):
That's cool.
Speaker 7 (28:18):
Yeah, I mean, you find the little village that they're
from and check it out at some point.
Speaker 2 (28:23):
That's me, Oh my god, that's I.
Speaker 9 (28:25):
Think I have ancestry there too, do you, yeah? Or Slovenia.
Speaker 7 (28:31):
That's right in the area.
Speaker 4 (28:33):
Yeah, that's Slavic. Yeah, well I follow you.
Speaker 7 (28:42):
Therefore, I am here until April mid April.
Speaker 5 (28:48):
Yes, she's working on a very awesome project. Are you
allowed to share or is it a secret that will
share later?
Speaker 7 (28:54):
I am not sure what I can say about it,
so I better not say anything.
Speaker 5 (28:57):
Then we'll just say it's a secret, awesome price project
that will be coming.
Speaker 7 (29:02):
Yeah.
Speaker 4 (29:03):
And uh.
Speaker 5 (29:06):
Was seventh Heaven was like your first big break? Right?
Speaker 7 (29:09):
Yeah?
Speaker 5 (29:10):
And like, how what lessons did you learn from all
of us in.
Speaker 4 (29:15):
Our moments or least favorite marry moments or.
Speaker 2 (29:21):
Do you remember mary moments? Because we didn't remember really much.
Speaker 8 (29:24):
Of it's like abstract. I think we need to start
rewatching the episodes.
Speaker 4 (29:30):
It's a trip.
Speaker 2 (29:31):
It's a trip.
Speaker 9 (29:32):
Would you have been friends with Mary? Had you gone
to school with Mary?
Speaker 7 (29:38):
I think I don't really remember.
Speaker 2 (29:43):
I think you'd be friends with her.
Speaker 4 (29:44):
I would say I have a large family.
Speaker 7 (29:46):
I think friends with her.
Speaker 8 (29:49):
She was, you know, pretty cool and like things that
I like, you know, we were kind of also sort
of the same person, I think. I mean, I think
what I remember more than anything, he was like this
was live training on what on how to be an
actor and how to work with the camera, how to
(30:11):
deal with lighting. I remember who was our amazing operator,
Ronnie h Ronnie remember when we would make him laugh.
Speaker 4 (30:20):
When you would get the camera shaking and yeah.
Speaker 7 (30:24):
Oh, I kind of don't totally remember that either. Do
you remember?
Speaker 8 (30:31):
No, I just remember he he took some time with
me on that highlight episode or in one.
Speaker 7 (30:38):
Of the episodes of the.
Speaker 8 (30:40):
First season, teaching me to how to smoothly stand up
from a seated position.
Speaker 7 (30:46):
I can't.
Speaker 3 (30:52):
I mean, it was quick with those wheels too, but yeah.
Speaker 7 (30:56):
He was. But it was stuff like that. You don't
even think about that.
Speaker 8 (31:00):
No one is telling you, like, hey, when you get
on set, you got to move smoothly, and you got
to find your light, and this is how you do
off camera, and this is how do you learn your
lines and where do you find a connection with other actors?
Like that was all happening for me on our show,
(31:21):
and it was such a warm, loving environment that I
think I really had that opportunity to like mess up,
and people were there to say, hey, maybe let's do
it this way next time, or you know, whatever the
advice was. But I was never meant to feel stupid
or like I didn't know what I was doing.
Speaker 7 (31:41):
It was like super duper supportive.
Speaker 5 (31:44):
I think I think that was the magic of our set,
and I think also that was also the what also
helped so many of our guest stars too.
Speaker 2 (31:52):
Is I think it like.
Speaker 5 (31:53):
That translated to everyone like were it was. It was
a place where we all were built to succeed.
Speaker 2 (32:03):
Yeah, we were never built to fail.
Speaker 5 (32:05):
We were always built to be supported and to succeed
and to you know, do our best and ish some
some episodes were rougher than others.
Speaker 3 (32:18):
Yeah, as expected, yes, but I mean.
Speaker 8 (32:21):
Fors and Church and the Church.
Speaker 4 (32:28):
Oh god, it was so sweaty and stale in there.
Speaker 7 (32:31):
Jeez my, buts so sore many hours and like, okay,
I think I.
Speaker 8 (32:41):
Really never loved my churchs No, I know, Yeah, I
definitely say.
Speaker 2 (32:47):
You have a lot of should.
Speaker 6 (32:51):
A lot of shoulder bags, some power suit action.
Speaker 5 (32:55):
You know what, we're gonna have to like, we're gonna
show in this episode, We're gonna have to show some
of it was awesome, top church of top church outfits.
Speaker 4 (33:02):
We're gonna we're gonna I think.
Speaker 8 (33:04):
I would like them now, but at the time, as
a teenager, I just remember being like this is.
Speaker 7 (33:12):
Baggy casual like that.
Speaker 2 (33:16):
Yeah, our church outfits were quite.
Speaker 4 (33:20):
Awesome.
Speaker 5 (33:26):
And remember also there was a time where we had
to share a trailer, so like we would open it
up so we would make it bigger.
Speaker 2 (33:32):
So we spent a lot of time.
Speaker 9 (33:34):
Yeah, honey, seas, it's just barely not big enough for
your butt to fit.
Speaker 4 (33:39):
You know, it's like a ledge that you can rest on.
Speaker 3 (33:42):
It is. It is a closet big enough to change in.
That's all it is.
Speaker 2 (33:46):
With a toilet and a weird toilet.
Speaker 7 (33:48):
You have your mother, Yes, you have your closet that.
Speaker 3 (33:51):
Fits your wardrobe, a bench, your toilet.
Speaker 7 (33:57):
Quite possibly a younger sibling.
Speaker 4 (33:59):
Yeah, yeah, not.
Speaker 7 (34:00):
For me, not for you.
Speaker 5 (34:02):
No, and actually a lot of time, not my mother either.
So because I would borrow yours. Yeah, because I also
thank you for your service of lending me all of
your guardians, because because I would get so my mom
would just hand me over to Kim or Kendall or
(34:22):
whoever was with you.
Speaker 2 (34:26):
She went to work. She just dropped me off and
went to work. Yeah, and then I would just working.
Speaker 5 (34:33):
She was she was working at my grandparents' family company.
So she would like go all the way back to
more parks. So she would drive me all the way
to Santa Monica and then drive back and just drop
me off. And then there was a time where we
were carpooling, and then I think you and I were
arguing too much because.
Speaker 2 (34:50):
At the time I like to argue, and.
Speaker 5 (34:56):
I think your mom said like I think you I
was like, you're like, I cannot deal with the two
of you. And then I we didn't carpool anymore a
little bit.
Speaker 3 (35:06):
You got yourself kicked out of the carpet job.
Speaker 5 (35:09):
Well, you know what, I think it was like, I
was just exploring what this like sisterly like relationship was like,
and I was just annoying and I wasn't know at all.
And I will admit that I apologize to everyone.
Speaker 2 (35:19):
I was a know it all for sure.
Speaker 4 (35:21):
You were, Yes, you were.
Speaker 3 (35:23):
She's completely changed totally.
Speaker 8 (35:28):
I feel no, actually, you have changed quite a lot,
and you are not that waymore.
Speaker 5 (35:33):
I I have tried to evolve and learn from my
mistakes and not be as annoying as I once was.
Speaker 7 (35:42):
You've done it.
Speaker 4 (35:43):
Thank yeah, for sure, thank you.
Speaker 5 (35:45):
I know even Barry called Barry said something very nice.
Speaker 2 (35:50):
Barry Barry's was actually nice to me.
Speaker 5 (35:53):
And I mean not that he was never nice, but
like he was like, I never found you annoying.
Speaker 2 (35:57):
I just thought you were like my my sister.
Speaker 5 (36:01):
I'm gonna take that as a compliment, and I think
his sister's cool.
Speaker 6 (36:06):
Yeah, you guys, we're gonna take a break.
Speaker 3 (36:10):
We'll be right back.
Speaker 5 (36:21):
Do you have like a second for like just a
tiny little bit more. Catherine just got here, and I
think she wants to say hi.
Speaker 2 (36:27):
Is that okay?
Speaker 5 (36:28):
You guys need do this with your no, but she's no,
but Catherine, Catherine, Okay. Can Catherine come in and can
you give her her headphones?
Speaker 7 (36:37):
I hope sheaves across you.
Speaker 5 (36:40):
You want to get her right here.
Speaker 7 (36:44):
How's everybody's kids?
Speaker 2 (36:45):
By the way, David just had.
Speaker 5 (36:47):
A new one.
Speaker 3 (36:50):
I just had a baby girl in December.
Speaker 7 (36:52):
Oh, oh my god, the congratulations. What's her name?
Speaker 3 (36:57):
Her name is Fern?
Speaker 11 (36:59):
Oh wow?
Speaker 3 (37:00):
Thanks?
Speaker 7 (37:01):
Do you love me to?
Speaker 3 (37:03):
I do?
Speaker 7 (37:04):
That's so nice?
Speaker 3 (37:06):
So yes. And uh my my older daughter, her name
is Lily. She's seven.
Speaker 4 (37:12):
Oh my gosh.
Speaker 9 (37:14):
Ophelia is here in California and she's been meeting new people.
Speaker 4 (37:17):
Left.
Speaker 9 (37:18):
So my two year old sat at the opposite end
of a table of like a ten person at her
party and didn't care that she wasn't next to me,
which is a monumental thing.
Speaker 7 (37:29):
Wow.
Speaker 9 (37:29):
Yeah, she's been meeting new people left and right and
hasn't had a panic attack about it yet.
Speaker 11 (37:36):
So good for her.
Speaker 7 (37:39):
She's just so amazing. Are you so happy?
Speaker 9 (37:41):
I am, But I'm starting to be like, is this
when she doesn't need me anymore?
Speaker 7 (37:46):
Well, she's only two, so she too.
Speaker 3 (37:49):
Yeah, you don't send him out into the world too.
Speaker 12 (37:54):
Yeah.
Speaker 4 (37:54):
Yet, still she's doing great. How are yours haircut? Yeah?
Speaker 7 (38:00):
Yeah, he got another haircut.
Speaker 2 (38:01):
Soh he got another one.
Speaker 7 (38:03):
Yep, he loves his haircut. I still miss his hair
but they're good. They're good. It's been an interesting come in.
Speaker 2 (38:13):
We have somebody who wants to say hi to you.
Speaker 3 (38:15):
Well, let's get her to come in on. Let's get
on and then we'll do it.
Speaker 7 (38:18):
Are you she is on?
Speaker 5 (38:20):
I'm sitting between us because we have somebody on who
wants to see you.
Speaker 2 (38:23):
No, right here, I know.
Speaker 7 (38:24):
I have to step over.
Speaker 4 (38:25):
There's her. Bet.
Speaker 11 (38:27):
Hello, do you see who that is? Yeah? So HIHI,
Oh you look great, man, Binky? How are you.
Speaker 8 (38:44):
Those?
Speaker 9 (38:46):
Oh, it's so good to see you.
Speaker 11 (38:51):
Fine. Fine, How are your babies? They're good?
Speaker 12 (38:55):
Good?
Speaker 8 (38:55):
Oh?
Speaker 7 (38:55):
My goodness, mama.
Speaker 2 (38:57):
And she's on the other side of the world right now.
She's in bood.
Speaker 11 (39:00):
Oh my gosh. Is that a tour thing for singing
your husband?
Speaker 7 (39:04):
It's the work thing. I'm doing a movie here.
Speaker 11 (39:06):
Excuse me for giving credit to the mail.
Speaker 7 (39:10):
That's okay, tour, he's's not here.
Speaker 11 (39:13):
Like if Jesse's traveling, it's because her husband. Way to go.
You're well, you've done such good work as a producer
and an actor.
Speaker 2 (39:21):
I know she's killing it.
Speaker 7 (39:22):
I mean if I love seeing you guys.
Speaker 11 (39:25):
Yeah, well we don't go away, Jess, Well good, I
don't Yeah, okay, Well, good luck with the project. Are
you acting and producing?
Speaker 3 (39:36):
Just acting?
Speaker 11 (39:37):
Well, that's good.
Speaker 8 (39:38):
Yeah, it's actually kind of nice when at the end
of the day you're like, wow, this is kind of
a show.
Speaker 2 (39:44):
Night my problem exactly.
Speaker 11 (39:50):
And Budapest, Oh, I love those countries, aren't they weird
and wonderful?
Speaker 3 (39:55):
Wonderful?
Speaker 11 (39:56):
They're like I always loved Yugoslavia for some reason. And
then I made a movie there and I my co star,
Christopher Plummer, said, you don't you want to get married
and have your own family. I was thirty six. I said, Oh,
I guess so, and I prayed to the our lady
of Belgrade, and I said, could he be a little Yugoslavia?
And they're really cute over here they are. Two months
(40:18):
later I did child's playing Mt. Kevin and his grandma's
from Yugoslavia. That's my say a prayer story.
Speaker 7 (40:27):
I love that.
Speaker 11 (40:28):
How is your Are your kids in school?
Speaker 7 (40:32):
So both of my kids are here with travel teachers.
Speaker 8 (40:35):
Oh and so when travel like for long periods like this,
they come with us, and then when they are home
Intana they go back to the regular school.
Speaker 11 (40:44):
Oh that's so neat.
Speaker 7 (40:45):
Yes, how's your baby?
Speaker 11 (40:48):
She's great, she's thirty three.

Jesse's book, then that one meant you okay, because if
you were not weird, then shoot, that was not interesting.
