She did hold my hand, which was concerned about the

And I'm also extremely stubborn, so Jesse just knew one
one fight to pick.

a very bad transition. But we have explored some of
Mary's finest storylines, and there's some.

But before we get into any of those, in particular, Jess,
we've we've sat down with Catherine and Barry and with
you here. I want to start by you kind of
get giving us your like what's your story of how
this started? Like what's what's Jesse's version of like how
seventh Heaven fell in your lap and came to be?
Speaker 3 (05:10):
How we came together?
Speaker 8 (05:11):
Yeah, I think it was just so it was like
I was an audition like any other audition that I had.
One of those pilot seasons, the third pilot season.
Speaker 7 (05:22):
I was in.
Speaker 8 (05:22):
La Colorado with my family, and I remember thinking, a
cool character because she's a basketball player and I was
an athlete.
Speaker 7 (05:32):
I was like, Oh, I can act to this. You know, I'm.
Speaker 8 (05:36):
Twelve or thirteen, No, thirteen, I was thirteen at the time,
and I just remember going into the audition, going in
for a callback. I don't know if there was another one,
But then I remember showing up at that big crazy
Network daye we have all of.
Speaker 3 (05:54):
You guys at the ranch.
Speaker 2 (05:56):
Yeah, the ranch, and.
Speaker 8 (05:58):
How wild that kind of experience was. And I also
remember that in my audition I had to well the character,
the merry character was spinning a basketball on her finger. Yeah,
so I did that in the audition without a basket.
Speaker 4 (06:19):
What a choice?
Speaker 7 (06:21):
Like, who encouraged me to do that?
Speaker 8 (06:24):
I'm like, like an invisible ball.
Speaker 3 (06:33):
That's amazing.

I kind of feel embarrassed about that, but I don't know,
maybe it was effective.

Mean they just I think it worked.

Person decided to do that, She's she's perfect.

I remember that big Network day and then I remember
getting a call.
Speaker 7 (06:53):
With my mom.

I she had a cell phone and they called my
mom and we were on sitting in the car driving somewhere.
We got the call to and I got the show.
That's kind of how my story started.
Speaker 7 (07:07):
And then I saw you.

Yeah, that's awesome.

And I also remember at that network thing, you and
I like exchanged photos and like you signed one, like
being like.

And I just remember I I but I didn't do
that with any other any of the other actors that
were trying out for Mary.
Speaker 2 (07:26):
It was just you.
Speaker 3 (07:27):
I had my photos on me.

You didn't you weren't.

Yeah, no, I remember I was intimidated by you because
you were from like big movies, and I was like,
I can't. I can't talk to him, like he's like
a real actor.

I'm like, I'm here, like wanna be so.

I'm scared of you.
Speaker 3 (07:43):
I remember, Jess. I don't know if you remember, but
I remember.

Talking to you at the at the ranch thing and
you and I sat back and we're talking about.

Pizza, like pizza places.
Speaker 6 (07:52):
We were, Yeah, that was our that we were like
waiting to go in or whatever, and we were we
were talking about our favorite pizza and so like this
weird like flash memory that I have of you at
the ranch when we were sitting around in the waiting area.
Speaker 7 (08:07):
Oh my god, that is a lifetime ago.
Speaker 3 (08:09):
Yeah, I really was.
Speaker 7 (08:11):
We all went in together, yep.
Speaker 8 (08:13):
Yeah, and then they kept a lot of us together
and would do some.

He spends a lot of time together.

Totally, and them staring at us.

It was weird.

It was weird because we were all kind of like
lined up and everybody was like looking at us, and
it was like, uh, oh.

I'm sort of glad I don't remember this.

Mag was traumatized because she was like so little.
Speaker 7 (08:41):
I mean, the whole thing is kind of crazy. If
you think about it. You walk into us like a
bunch of adults sitting on a.

Giant table staring at him, strange preteens like like we.
Speaker 7 (08:52):
Don't know what they're together.
Speaker 5 (08:55):
We watched some of the we're rewatching, so we watch
some of the episodes, and we saw all of your
basketball talent.

So much of it there was almost too much to
fit in any episode.
Speaker 2 (09:07):
Yeah you're yeah, you were.
Speaker 7 (09:10):
I've always been excluding off the screen with I was.
Speaker 2 (09:14):
Yeah, I mean at least you.

You didn't fall as much as I did, because you
mean you or I mean one and the same, right
kind of yeah, kind of.

Yeah, our choreography was not our strength.

I don't think we had other strengths.

But we're coming to realize that we actually did have
quite a few stunts on the show. Actually, yeah, now, like.

Almost a stunt in every episode.

Stunt in the pilot where you fell down, and apparently
we had a stunt coordinator for when you fell fell
into Jeff, which in the we had a stunt coordinator
for it.

Yeah, you know, my body is very it's a temple

Do you remember there was one time we couldn't figure

but we don't remember who it was. Somebody fell on

It was chicken, and but she was off her face.

Was she on an episode of seven?

No, there was she was. Yeah, she was on the show,
but like obviously we weren't filming.

because I couldn't remember.

To complete off the side of the ramp, and then
we weren't allowed to walk in the ramp.

We weren't allowed to jump off the ramp.

No, we used to jump because the ramp was like sideways,
so I'd run from the trailers and jump up the ramp.

But do you did have an injury on set one
time that we had to like shoot around.

Yeah? She tried to grab scissors from me, like blade first,

thought your wardrobe and my what I remember was a
lot of like blacks and blue, like navy blues and grays.
But in recent episodes you were wearing orange pants.

Think that I'm wearing right now is pretty merry. It

It was from the diner, and that's what gets you
in legal trouble and didn't marry because she picked off
the basketball team.

screaming into the studio because we were shooting and you

driving mishouse.

I don't know how to work no one.

No one knows about them and gets to make fun
of me for them.

and people were there to say, hey, maybe let's do

advice was. But I was never meant to feel stupid
or like I didn't know what I was doing.

I think I think that was the magic of our set,

one fight to pick.

a very bad transition. But we have explored some of
Mary's finest storylines, and there's some.

But before we get into any of those, in particular, Jess,
we've we've sat down with Catherine and Barry and with
you here. I want to start by you kind of
get giving us your like what's your story of how
this started? Like what's what's Jesse's version of like how
seventh Heaven fell in your lap and came to be?
Speaker 3 (05:10):
How we came together?
Speaker 8 (05:11):
Yeah, I think it was just so it was like
I was an audition like any other audition that I had.
One of those pilot seasons, the third pilot season.
Speaker 7 (05:22):
I was in.
Speaker 8 (05:22):
La Colorado with my family, and I remember thinking, a
cool character because she's a basketball player and I was
an athlete.
Speaker 7 (05:32):
I was like, Oh, I can act to this. You know, I'm.
Speaker 8 (05:36):
Twelve or thirteen, No, thirteen, I was thirteen at the time,
and I just remember going into the audition, going in
for a callback. I don't know if there was another one,
But then I remember showing up at that big crazy
Network daye we have all of.
Speaker 3 (05:54):
You guys at the ranch.
Speaker 2 (05:56):
Yeah, the ranch, and.
Speaker 8 (05:58):
How wild that kind of experience was. And I also
remember that in my audition I had to well the character,
the merry character was spinning a basketball on her finger. Yeah,
so I did that in the audition without a basket.
Speaker 4 (06:19):
What a choice?
Speaker 7 (06:21):
Like, who encouraged me to do that?
Speaker 8 (06:24):
I'm like, like an invisible ball.
Speaker 3 (06:33):
That's amazing.
Speaker 7 (06:35):
What a weird choice.

I kind of feel embarrassed about that, but I don't know,
maybe it was effective.
Speaker 2 (06:40):
Mean they just I think it worked.
Speaker 7 (06:42):
Person decided to do that, She's she's perfect.
Speaker 8 (06:47):
I remember that big Network day and then I remember
getting a call.
Speaker 7 (06:53):
With my mom.
Speaker 8 (06:55):
I she had a cell phone and they called my
mom and we were on sitting in the car driving somewhere.
We got the call to and I got the show.
That's kind of how my story started.
Speaker 7 (07:07):
And then I saw you.
Speaker 2 (07:09):
Guys get yeah.
Speaker 3 (07:10):
Yeah, that's awesome.
Speaker 5 (07:11):
And I also remember at that network thing, you and
I like exchanged photos and like you signed one, like
being like.
Speaker 2 (07:18):
Hope we get to do this together.
Speaker 5 (07:19):
And I just remember I I but I didn't do
that with any other any of the other actors that
were trying out for Mary.
Speaker 2 (07:26):
It was just you.
Speaker 3 (07:27):
I had my photos on me.
Speaker 2 (07:29):
You didn't you weren't.
Speaker 5 (07:31):
Yeah, no, I remember I was intimidated by you because
you were from like big movies, and I was like,
I can't. I can't talk to him, like he's like
a real actor.
Speaker 2 (07:40):
I'm like, I'm here, like wanna be so.
Speaker 4 (07:42):
I'm scared of you.
Speaker 3 (07:43):
I remember, Jess. I don't know if you remember, but
I remember.
Speaker 6 (07:45):
Talking to you at the at the ranch thing and
you and I sat back and we're talking about.
Speaker 3 (07:50):
Pizza, like pizza places.
Speaker 6 (07:52):
We were, Yeah, that was our that we were like
waiting to go in or whatever, and we were we
were talking about our favorite pizza and so like this
weird like flash memory that I have of you at
the ranch when we were sitting around in the waiting area.
Speaker 7 (08:07):
Oh my god, that is a lifetime ago.
Speaker 3 (08:09):
Yeah, I really was.
Speaker 7 (08:11):
We all went in together, yep.
Speaker 8 (08:13):
Yeah, and then they kept a lot of us together
and would do some.

He spends a lot of time together.

Totally, and them staring at us.

It was weird.

It was weird because we were all kind of like
lined up and everybody was like looking at us, and
it was like, uh, oh.

I'm sort of glad I don't remember this.

Mag was traumatized because she was like so little.
Speaker 7 (08:41):
I mean, the whole thing is kind of crazy. If
you think about it. You walk into us like a
bunch of adults sitting on a.
Speaker 8 (08:46):
Giant table staring at him, strange preteens like like we.
Speaker 7 (08:52):
Don't know what they're together.
Speaker 5 (08:55):
We watched some of the we're rewatching, so we watch
some of the episodes, and we saw all of your
basketball talent.
Speaker 4 (09:04):
So much of it there was almost too much to
fit in any episode.
Speaker 2 (09:07):
Yeah you're yeah, you were.
Speaker 7 (09:10):
I've always been excluding off the screen with I was.
Speaker 2 (09:14):
Yeah, I mean at least you.
Speaker 5 (09:15):
You didn't fall as much as I did, because you
mean you or I mean one and the same, right
kind of yeah, kind of.

Yeah, our choreography was not our strength.

I don't think we had other strengths.

But we're coming to realize that we actually did have
quite a few stunts on the show. Actually, yeah, now, like.

Almost a stunt in every episode.
Speaker 3 (09:38):
Well, there was a.

Stunt in the pilot where you fell down, and apparently
we had a stunt coordinator for when you fell fell
into Jeff, which in the we had a stunt coordinator
for it.
Speaker 2 (09:51):
Yep, we found that though.
Speaker 8 (09:53):
Yeah, you know, my body is very it's a temple
and I.
Speaker 7 (09:59):
Don't want to dirty.

Actually, we were trying to figure this out.

Do you remember there was one time we couldn't figure
out if it was you or if it was another act,
but we don't remember who it was. Somebody fell on
the ramp going up There is chicken.

It was chicken, and but she was off her face.

Yeah she was.

Was she on an episode of seven?

No, there was she was. Yeah, she was on the show,
but like obviously we weren't filming.

It was Oh, so it was chicken. It was her
because I couldn't remember.

we weren't allowed to walk in the ramp.

We weren't allowed to jump off the ramp.

No, we used to jump because the ramp was like sideways,
so I'd run from the trailers and jump up the ramp.

But do you did have an injury on set one
time that we had to like shoot around.

Yeah? She tried to grab scissors from me, like blade first,

But in recent episodes you were wearing orange pants.

Think that I'm wearing right now is pretty merry. It

is all of us had a very distinct wardrobe. You

was very clear.

Isn't it crazy how much we don't remember.

It's like we've when we're revisiting some of these episodes,
like we forgot some of these storylines. I mean, you
stole a cup, and I think you vandalized a gym, Mary, Yeah.

The beginning of Mary's downfall.

Yeah, that was that was when Mary was really getting
into some trouble when I think you you t peed
a gym.

And then also you almost you went to court for
stealing a cup.

those ugly I would get in some shower door kind

one of those ones that looked like the shower doors

It was from the diner, and that's what gets you
in legal trouble and didn't marry because she picked off
the basketball team.

in my past I may or may not have stolen
a towel from a hotel.

and people were there to say, hey, maybe let's do

advice was. But I was never meant to feel stupid
or like I didn't know what I was doing.

I think I think that was the magic of our set,
