(00:20):
my life, sacrifice, hustle backy pricing, Wanna slice? Got the
broll dice to sware all my life? I've been grinding
in all my life. Hello, welcome to another edition of
Club Sha Shake. I am your host, Shannon Sharp. I'm
also the proprietor of Club Shake Shake. And the guy
that's stopping by for conversation on the drink today is
a world of now im conmedian turned recording artist, actor ride,
(00:43):
a host, entrepreneur, a viral social media I don't know
what you call him. All I know is he's staying
some bull jives. Hey, let's put some hands together for dude. Yoo,
you finally let me in club shaa Hey? I hit
you up? I did? What did I tell you? Like joking?
(01:04):
You bet not Miss my miss my appointment, or I'm
never calling you for nothing again. Ever. Ever, let's get
right into it. I see you sitting kind of like
you hurt, like you got him roid. They seemed like
you got a lot going on. I'm trying to cross
my leg to make it look normal. It's not worth
you try to cross your leg earlier. You thought about
it from like thirty seconds, okay, in like thirty seconds,
crossed my leg. That's why I did it before the
(01:25):
cameras came off this flow motion. You got injured in
the Bahamas. Yeah. I love to travel. You love and
you your chronicle. You document a lot of your travels.
When this happened, how did it happen? First? How did
it happen? It happened. I got hit by a car
on my island and she hit me from the back
and I flew. That's what happened. I broke everything, Okay,
(01:48):
you know what I'm saying. I mean, I made it
look like it wasn't a big deal, but I was
really messed up. I broke my my rist, I gotta
plate in here, my shoulders messed up and all this.
The femur yeah, you know, and from here on dot
my knee. They had to do surgery on that. They
did that while I was up. But yeah, man, I'm
here though. You know, when did you see the car?
(02:09):
Did you know? The car just came out of nowhere?
But she dropped at me? What happened? She was behind me, bruh, Like, y'all,
I couldn't have seen. I was on my foe wheeler.
And where I live in the Bahamas, Bahamas is they
don't drive. No, you know, they drive in the middle
of the road right where because it's like isolated, so
it ain't that many people on the road, so they
just drive. So I didn't see it from nowhere. I
was turning in my driveway and boomed, she hit. So
(02:32):
she didn't see you. I hope she didn't unless she
did it on purpose. Ship did they catch that? She stopped?
She stopped. The same person to hire me. She stopped. Okay,
she stopped, and and when it got my old lady
and we sat there and waited that shit turned. Huh
how about it took off? I'm glad she didn't, cause
I would have been messed up because like it turned
real necks and afraid that when you get out there
(02:53):
on that it ain't like America. I can just call
nine on one right. I was just sitting out there, man,
just chilling, you know, thank for my life. She hit
from the back. You have no idea what's going on?
You're flying through there, you land on the ground. What's
going through your mind? At that moment in my para line,
I felt my feel I was like, okay, ah this year, hurry,
I can't get period. So so the lady came, the lady,
(03:16):
she lady. I was like, yeah, I live right here,
go get my old lady. I went and got she
went and got my old lady and old they looked
at me. When I saw how she looked at me,
you knew you messed up. I knew I was done. Done.
But the first thing she said, She's just like, oh,
you got all your teeth, because I just tweeted about
people with back teeth. You know people I age this
hardening to get back teeth. So I was saying I
(03:37):
got all my back teeth, right, So it's the first
thing she thinking. It was calming it from my back
teeth talking, but I had all my teeth. In other words,
she didn't want to cripple at a snackle tooth. Yeah,
she didn't want a snack or twoth. So she's like, okay,
you got all his back teeth. Okay, so right there,
believe it or not. I sat there for two hours,
bro sick. Because it's an island, there's nobody. You have
to wait, you know what I'm saying. So I had
(03:59):
to wait for somebody to come, and I was. I
just sat there. How much pain were you in? Because initially,
initially they're shocked, but after that shock, after that drilling
starts to wear off that. Honestly, I didn't even realize
it was too until I look at the time stamp
right like when you see when you because I took
a picture of that. I was because at the time,
like I said, it was just me by myself. I
(04:20):
ain't had nothing, I had no WiFi and nothing. I'm
just there, you know what I'm saying. So I'm sitting
there chilling, and then I was. I guess most of
the things I was going through my mind was life,
you know. I was just thinking about all right, like
how much money I got left? All right? I had
to live off this real all right, I'm gonna have
to sell that plane. I'm gonna have to do this,
and I just started at allocating life and start. I
(04:40):
called my man Clay. I was like, yep, it's over.
Had messed us up, and I don't know what I'm
gonna do now. It's all. I was just doing all
that type stuff, called my door, tried to call my door,
just calling everybody because I thought I was gonna die.
You know, I was just sitting there. Really yeah. So
that because I was bleeding the death, I had to
get blood transfusion all that. Well they ain't take about
a half a pact, but they only take two paints
(05:02):
to fill me up exactly. You see what I'm saying.
So I was fucked up, you know what I'm saying.
But but I mean I think what what I don't know.
I think once I prayed over it, you know, I
left in the God hand. I started believing right once
I transported my mind. Once you prayed, you turned it
over to him with their peace that came over you
(05:22):
like it really is, because it's like if you're praying,
you contradict yourself from wearing. You know what I'm saying.
I mean, it didn't stop the pain, right, that pain,
That shit hurt. That was the worst hurt I've ever had,
you know what I'm saying. I didn't almost died of
a couple of times. It ain't never been this painful,
you know what I'm saying. But it's just once you
start doing that. I started going to tunnel vision. Once
I realized, oh I might be I'm alive. I just
(05:43):
started thinking about shit, the real abilitation start. It's real
abilitation started the right while I was on that ground,
not when I went in the physical therapy, right. So
it's a mind thing. Most of that. I remember you
you posted like they're must to put an NFL player
hip in my body because they take Hi man. And
this ship was so fucking I mean yeah man, cause
like and I want to give Edrian James a shout out, man,
(06:06):
because if it wasn't for him, I would have still
been in the Bahama's Children because they once they put
that morphine in me, I was high shit, right, and
and then in Bahamians they started praying over me. So
in my mind I was like, you know, I'm all right, mad,
I got me. I'm gonna be like so, so I
called I called my man j Ski. He started laughing, Hey,
(06:27):
like boy, you junkie bitch nigga hid so we laughing
and this that whatever the EJ called me. He was
like yeah, I say yeah. I'm like, man, I'm good.
You know my my family and cause my family from
Bahamas RCK I got they came in. I was like, now,
I'm good. They didn't. I don't know what they're gonna do.
It's like, he's like, man, I don't think they got doctors.
Do you need out there? He's like, man, if you
come to Miami, I know some doctors. I can get
(06:49):
you to Miami to get some doctors. Right. It's I
just listened to him that time because usually don't I
just be right. I trust you being y'all. You you
mark see your own beat them? Yeah, I do you
know what I'm saying, Like, I don't I respect when
people to say. But at the same time that if
I feel God got me, I'd be like all right.
But this time I was like God told him to
tell me this. So I I was like all right.
(07:09):
So I hung the phone, I got on the plane
and got to Miami. They took care of me and
shout out to Miami Jackson, Miami, what is Jackson Memorial?
They showed me love all the nurses and stuff they
took care. You chronicle a lot of this. I mean
you said they were drilling your leg while you are awake. Yeah,
that my knee because I guess when this ship. When
(07:30):
it happened, my leg flipped and they say, if you don't,
they had to pull They had to drill a hole
in my knee to pull my leg down. Otherwise I
would have had a short leg. And I didn't need
a cause I already got a short leg, So I
didn't mean I didn't need to have a short short legs.
I think you had that that lengthening surgery. You know,
you try to get fixed by If that's what it
(07:51):
takes to get it, I don't want it. And why
would I get like it'll be stupid with long legs
and little arms. That's I'm gonna look stupid. Man. Yeah,
it looks so stupid. I'm cool again being short. So
how many nights were you in the hospital? About three weeks?
About three weeks, man, I was in the hospital about
three weeks. So how soon did they get you up?
(08:13):
They tried to get me up soon as I as
soon as you know, the surgey. They tried to get
the leg moved absolutely, but I couldn't because my wrists.
I had broke my wrists and my shoulder. Honestly, that's
what hurt the most, really, the road collarbone, the rotator cuff,
something in there. I don't know exactly terminology of the ship,
but rotator cuff, maybe the labor on or something. And
that didn't hurt till later on down the line. Once
(08:34):
this start healing up, it was good. But then out
of nowhere, I had to grow there on like the
day I was like this here, I was like, what
the you know what I'm saying? So I was like,
so this hurt for a minute, Like I still don't
have full range yet, but I'm getting there, but that
hurt by So how far along you're in the rehab process?
Are you done with PT? Are you continue with PT?
(08:56):
I was? I graduated from PT two weeks ago? Right, hey,
I mean I got I didn't even need the cane
until Saturday. I missed my leg up and miss Minneapolis
trying to be too turned up and missed my leg up.
I thought I fractured it again. I was scared because
I had what were you doing on stage? Were you
jumping around on stage. What were you doing? I mean, no,
(09:16):
I don't know what you do. I don't know, man,
it's the energy man, like I thought. I thought. I
was thought you was ill. I did because I just
did a show New Years and I jumped off stage.
I jumped off stage in Dallas. Man, I said, God
had healed me. I was, I was, I was h
he has arrived and everything I jumped on stage jumped
(09:37):
back on stage. I mean when I rolled on stage,
a win is a win. I got on stage and
didn't hurt myself. Okay, you see what. I didn't hurt myself.
So I was like, I'm good. You know what I'm saying.
I was doing inn I exercise. I jumped rope, but
I didn't take ano account that the muscle still. I
didn't wake my muscles all the way up for certain well,
you know, because you hadn't used this or the muscles.
(10:00):
I have to feed a lot. Yeah, I gotta build
that back up. Man. I was so scared because when
they hit me, I felt I couldn't walk no more.
Like I played it off on stage. Nobody. I still
walked when I got back and say, you cried, though
I didn't cry in front of him. Don't listen here.
I cried in the room because it was painful. Man,
I was but nah, I did man? I I mean
(10:20):
it was because in my mind, I was like, man,
I did all this stif if I did everything these
doctors told me. I did everything all my athlete friends
told me to do. I thought I was good and
then I then I remember it started playing our head
with Tony Hawk because he had the same thing happened
around the same time mine happened and this female and
he but he had re injured it trying to get
back too soon. So I thought I did the same
(10:40):
thing right. But like I said, when I went back,
they told me I was good. They told him I
just pulled the muscle. So I'm just limping that until
I get this muscle back. So how did it drive? It?
Can you drive? Do you have a driver? Now? I drive?
I drove when when I wasn't posted. You know what
I'm saying, Like I for me with therapy and rehab,
(11:02):
it was more of a mine thing. So she wanted
you still wanted that independence. Yes, man, that was the
worst thing, bro. That was the worst thing that ever
happened to me. Out of this whole thing. I never
needed nobody for nothing. This thing made me need everybody
for everything. You know what I'm saying, Like I needed
somebody to help me booboos, to help me pe to
take a shower. Yeah. So it made me vulnerable to people.
(11:22):
You know what I'm saying. It made me. But the
good thing I had people around me that would do it.
You know what I'm saying That I didn't have to
have to ask, and they did it even more because
they knew how I am, you know what I'm saying.
So I blessed for that. I thank all of them,
all my family and my old lady, you know, my therapists.
Lisa shot at the LEASA over Atlanta Hawks. Atlanta Hawks, Yeah,
you know. And they showed at Emory. You got that
(11:42):
that party. You got to handicap sticker man. You know,
I messed up at I was trying to be so independent,
trying to say I don't need nothing. I left out
the hotel without my damn well, you can't get another one.
I can still go and get one. What do I
need to say? Give me it? You gotta file it,
you gotta file through it or DLB. Okay, okay, I'm
gonna get one. I thought you the red with a
(12:04):
temporary No, I need you need the blue one. I
need to blue one. I need to blue blue one. Yea,
Because I mean, I got this hip, this this mellowing
me for life. So let's me ask you a question.
How soon did they say, duvall, you will be back
to yourself and this many months? Because if they told
me a year, I can get back on the road,
but you jumping off stage in six months. I jumped
back on stage in two months, and you thought that
(12:27):
were gonna be cool. No, I mean I got back
on stage, but you did in the wheelchair. I was
in the wheelchair. Then you know what I'm saying, I
didn't get back. You're telling jokes in the wheelchair. Yeah,
telling jokes and singing put you. Everybody enjoyed it because
they see, like you said, you watched me on social media,
so you saw the progress and you saw it was
in the midst of this. I've I've motivated and inspired
(12:48):
and inspired me too from watching everybody. Because the funny
thing about it, at the shows, it was like thirty
handicap people in the front row, Like I had so
many hand cap people coming to the show because they
was inspired. You know what I'm saying, Because it's inspired
a bunch of us, like a lot of people that
had stuff worse than me than I've seen. Just in
this time they was messed up and then they started
doing it because they was motivated by me. And now
(13:09):
they can walk now. So we just inspired each other. Man.
Didn't you get stranded in the behind? What you stranded
one time in the ocean in the you might need
to step and I did. Now you're right, You're right,
I did. Just that was the time I almost that
was scared that that was almost died at that time
out of gas or something. You No, my battery wasn't
working in the jet ski. You know what I'm saying.
(13:29):
I went went out, was going out where where I
go go Scooba die, I mean like snorking the fine
coral reefs and stuff like that. And when I got
back gone, it wouldn't started back up. Oh yeah, man,
I don't know if you know that water, but that
was the most dangerous thing on Like that's my biggest fit.
Drink all that and you can't walk on And I
(13:50):
had my old lady with me, yes in that current,
like the island, and I'm not exaggerating. The island was
right there. By the time the current in five minutes,
I was like two miles away. What going like towards
my end? Man, I was the only thing saved me.
With my phone. I had t mobile reception and I
(14:10):
called the I called my the building that's building on
my spot out there. I called him and he called
the Bahamas police and they came together. If you didn't
have that phone, I would have been I would have
been still floating. Like that's the word. You don't lost?
The sea is real. You don't want to go out there, man,
you know what? So what is it? Obviously you're Bhamianah,
(14:34):
what is it about going back there? If it is
it getting away from everything? You're the isolation of it,
just you sometimes, I guess you go with your old lady.
It's just you and her. It's peace, and it's it's
my coach is where I'm from. It's like like I said,
I grew up there, going back with my grandfather and
then and that's all. We always went over there. My
grandfather was real prominent down there in the Bahamas. So
(14:56):
it's just the blood line in me, you know, what
I'm saying, I feel at home when I feel like
that's where I was supposed to be. I feel like
even when I bought the place there, I was just
like this, why I'm a diet you know what I'm saying.
So that's just my place of peace, you know. And
I like it there and I like where it is.
It's not like it's not busy like NASA, you know
what I'm saying. This country as hell, So I love it.
Do you feel like after you're going through what you're
(15:17):
going through? You get had the accident, get hit, Uh,
you got hit struck from the car from behind, stranded
on your jet ski and you you speak about these
near death experiences. This ain't my first time I get
hit by a car. What you got to be a cat?
That's god man, that's like people think this this is
just from getting on this. When I got hit by
a car twenty years ago in Atlanta on Old National,
(15:41):
you were in a car where you walking walking. I
was walking across the street Old National. That was my fault.
Time This time wasn't my fault because I got a
ticket for that. I got jay walking. Even in the hospital,
they gave me a ticket. And they had to go
to court and they was gonna put me in jail.
Did you underestimate how fast, how far the card, the
distance of the car, how fast the car was going?
What was I don't know what happened that you drop you.
(16:02):
I don't drive you high. I wasn't even getting high.
I just started getting high by five six years ago.
I wasn't doing nothing. Hid to hell you get hit?
I don't know I was tripping. I shouldn't have. I
didn't look both ways at that time. I ain't looked
at both ways that time. But like I said, I
made did you break anything? I messed my knee up,
I think, but I was young. You know you could
hear it right back up right. I messed that up,
and I think I had a permanent limp then. But
(16:24):
I played it all so good. You probably couldn't never
tell to this day. The only thing that showed you
might you might have been fixed foot tall without all
the event. Now, because I your gross first stop at
what unless I'm still going through eighteen unless I ain't
caught mine yet, So I still both have you to
had two many cars, and then you've had really three
mere depth experience. No more than that. I almost died
(16:46):
in Jamaica. I tried to go under water, like I
did this thing where you go you jump in the
water this way, you go into the tunnel and come
out the other way. Oh, I did it before the
second time I tried to do it high. Why is
it when people think when they get high, they think
they jock coustoles. I didn't realize that was high, Like
(17:09):
when you get so high, you just know it's just normal.
But then after he was like, yeah, I should have
did that. You know what I'm saying. I went down
the wrong passage. Yeah yeah, And then I and I
bumped my head and was hidden. And then when this
was stupid, I had my eyes closed the whole time.
The only thing to save me. I opened my eyes
and I saw the light and I just swimmed whatever.
But I was I don't know why I was. I
(17:30):
was stupid. You're a big You have a big presence
on social media where they took your page. You loved
the fan engagement, you love the to to put out things,
have people respond. A lot of the shade Room, A
lot of different sites pick up your posts when they
took your page. How naked did you feel, how naked
(17:55):
did you feel? Actually, it didn't bother me. Honestly, It
didn't bothered me for a while because, like all, I
was prepared for it because I kind of seen it coming,
you know what I'm saying. So I had kept getting
you warned they take it down for a day or two. No,
because I understood how the algorithm was going to start working.
I was prepared for it, so I had all types
of backup plans, backup pages and all that. So after
(18:18):
a while, but then what I started seeing, and I
told people that if you can go back and look
at old interviews, I said, what y'all see, it happen
to me, happened to everybody pretty soon, because it wasn't
just me. It's just our word and how we talked,
you know what I'm saying. It was it was pinpoint
words like if I said, well, are you stupid? They're
going to me and flag flag me for all these Yeah,
they'll say it's bullying. So bullying subjective. Anything could be subjective,
(18:39):
it is bullying. So and how we talk, we might
talk shit each other back and forth. So so once
I see I was just like, y'all see Then once
everybody else started shooting down. Boom boom, boom boom. That's
when people start reckoning. If it wasn't for Clay, my manager,
I probably would have never get by because, like I said,
I moved, I wrote with the punches, even with everything
(19:00):
and so and then I was just like another page.
Started to build that back. But it's just hard to
build the secondary page up to the first. It's hard
to do anything because now people aren't where they are right,
you know what I'm saying. They ain't like where at
the beginning, where people was just following people, just like
now people are where they are, you know what I'm saying.
That's why it's not just Instagram. That's that's another thing too.
I never stayed on one thing, right. People in Instagram
so so claud in their Instagram they just think that's that.
(19:22):
But I still had Twitter, I still in Facebook, I
had Snapchat, I had everything. So I was already I'm
really liking the day because I've been in it so long.
So it's kind of like I'm grandfathers into people's minds
because I've been on social media so long, so it's
hard to get rid of me. You do a lot
of talking about current topics and you're not afraid to
shout when you don't shot away from anything due ball.
I mean, I don't. I think that's the comedic side
(19:44):
of you, that you take a real life situation and
you try to bring light to it. But there's a
lot of truth into what you're saying. Yeah, and it's
a lot of it's mostly well now, it's hard not
because they take sarcasm. They don't see it as sardcasting.
They don't see the sardcast. They don't understand the jokes
of it. But it's mostly just I don't even try
to be offenders offensive most time. I'm really trying to
(20:05):
come from a good place where I guess when you
don't see me, cause I'm not a threat like when
you and when I'm around people, I've never I've never
been I've never offended nobody in their face. It's mostly
the only time people get offenders online, you know what
I'm saying, But online, but everybody's looking for a reason
getting Yeah, they're looking for a reason to get offended.
So I've never got mad at it. I don't get
mad at if you don't know me, I don't get
(20:26):
mad with it. When I take it, I'd be like,
come on, bro, you know me. You know what I'm saying, Like,
I those are people that i'd be if my friends
they get offended, then it's like, why is you offended?
You know what I'm saying. But other people, I get it,
they're gonna take out how they want to take it.
You know what I'm saying. They ain't. And as long
as I know I didn't, I didn't have no ill
attentions personally, you know what I'm saying, Like, I don't
come in like, oh, I'm not a believe or not.
(20:47):
I'm not one of them cloud chasing dudes. Right, It's
just I don't be realized people offended until afterwards, right
like oh they was mad at that, you know what
I'm saying. So I'm not that guy. It's just I
don't know what's offensive because who I am. It's my
gift for my curse. I say what's on my mind.
But sometimes what makes you feel so comfortable sharing your opinion?
And then why do you get upset? Because sometimes people
(21:09):
you should Well, I'm just offering my opinion. Well then
why can't I offer my opinion about it? And I
don't get mad at that. That's why I don't. That's
that's the That's what being a comedian is. You know
what I'm saying, like, it comes with it all the
big comedians, even from Richard pride Back. It's not. It
wasn't canceled then, but people was mad at him. He
was mad at Red Fox. It happens. That's what that's
what comes with the beast. You know what I'm saying.
(21:29):
It comes from nature of the business. You know what
I'm saying, So I take it. I don't get mad.
I don't. I just know when I'm when I'm not
being intentional. You know what I'm saying. I know I'm
being real. I'm being about to be intentional sometimes, no,
I promise you I don't, especially with Twitter. I be
high right, I just spent it'd be Bobershop talk saying
what's on my mind. But like for me personally, I
(21:51):
think you'll know more who I am by my actions,
by my movement, by everything. You You you see who
I am who by by who, by what I do right,
not what I say. You can take my words in
any kind of a way, especially I'm from Florida. We
talk crazy. If there a platform you if they're one
platform you prefer prefer over the other. Do you like Twitter?
Do you like Twitter? Look? Do you like so Twitter?
(22:11):
N that's the difference. Like when they deleted my Instagram,
I wouldn't triving if they would delete my Twitter because
that's my personal that's my expression. You can get the interaction.
It's hard on if I don't even care about that.
I don't even care about the interaction. So we can
do sometimes, but I don't really keep up with that
because that can get you messed up, right. I just
like to express myself, right, It's the freedom of expression,
(22:33):
as the comedian is as an artist, everything you guys expression.
You know what I'm saying, it's you don't want to
be sense and that's the only place that don't sense you.
So I could say what's in my mind? You know
what I'm saying. I can say. I'm not saying everything
on my mind is right, you know what I'm saying.
But it's it's just a freedom to say what's something
a mind. So I love Twitter for that. You look
at it almost sleeps like you looking at it like
if I'm an athlete, I'm in the locker room or
(22:56):
in school, I was in the cafeteria or I'm on
the playground. We just I'm just having a conversation. Change
a little bit because like I'm so used to being
and you was asking me earlier, like what the freedom
of it is? Because I've been able to do it
for so long, it's kind of hard to change me.
It's like if if I've been cursing so long, they
right before they say, hey, don't curse. You know what
I'm saying. I could try it, right, but I'm seeing im.
(23:18):
I'm creatures of the habit, you know what I'm saying.
So I'm creature having to be able to do what
I want to do, say what I want to say.
That's why you want to be a standard and say
what you want to say, right, you know what I'm saying.
But now with times you have to you have to
think about other things now, so I'm more conscious of
it now, you know what I'm saying, because I really
don't try to offend right at the end of the day,
I'm really trying to make you happy, you know, I'm
trying to make you smile. So where are you're on
this cancel culture? Because it seems to be there's a
(23:41):
lot of that out Like okay one, I mean, it's
the first person they tried to cancel. They've been trying
to cancel me forever. You know what I'm saying. But
like I said, when you're genuine and and it's really
what happens is when you have people I think with
canceling when you if it's really true, that's when it
hurts you. You know what I'm saying. Like it's with
stuff for me, if you ask somebody around me, they
be like, nah, you're not like that. You know what
(24:01):
I'm saying. But sometimes when you ask somebody's like that,
you can see they if they friends or the people
around I'm saying it. You know, you know what I'm saying.
But you can tell by the people that's a round,
all the people that vows for me, if this person
is a genuine person, you know what I'm saying. And
that's what I That's why I pride myself on just
being a genuine person. We see some of the things
that have happened about comedians. We saw Chappelle out here
(24:23):
at the Hollywood Bowl telling them somebody ran up on
and we saw the situation. We don't have to relive
that with Will Smith. Are you afraid of telling a
joke and somebody running up stage because you're not like you?
Not like you? Six foot seven and I got a
limp now yeah, yeah, theybody come up there, just honestly
wouldn't at my shows. It's love, right, I've never had
the show where they don't show me love. It's all love.
So I don't expect that with mine because that ain't
(24:45):
the energy I bring. And and and the people that
know me, they know me for me like ro people.
I mean, somebody might do, but it's kid of love.
Like people that's within you ain't my girl and roast you.
I won't roast the girl. I'm a roast you. You
see what I'm saying. You roll about that side of love.
I don't want to do that because you're a roast
back like like that's that's where it lives. That's where
we came from. Like even girls in Florida, they don't
(25:07):
get mad. They talked back. And that's why I be expecting.
You know what I'm saying, Like to me, don't nobody
get getting more slacked in a short motherucker? You know
what I'm saying, Like, So to me. If anybody should
be offended, it's me. I've never been offended by short jokes.
You gotta be a mad at dog. He do what
I'm saying. So so with me, if I'm saying it's
(25:28):
if i'm talking, I'm speaking like I want you to
say something bad. I give you say to something bad
about me because I got some ship for you. That's
what I'm saying. So that's how I am. But I
guess everybody can't do that. So when people comment on
your opinion and it's like Man Duvall wrong on this situation.
Man du Vall shouldn't have said that. What I mean,
(25:51):
that's their opinion. I can't get like you said, I
can't get mad at their opinion. They can't. But that's
where they're mad is because I don't agree with their opinion.
I'm never got man, I don't. You've never seen me
online trying to explain like that's the song. I don't
go back and forth with you niggas. You know what
I'm saying. The only thing I'm I might explain just
to explain to my people's Outside of that, I don't
(26:13):
really care. I mean, they seemed to be going hard
on fifty, they want fifty cancel, they want little book,
they want boost it, they want you. They're like, I
don't even know. I swear I'm a great guy. Yeah,
my actions showing like I mean, I'm not just saying
like I'm forty five. Now if I would, if I
did something, something would come out by that. You know
what I'm saying, Like not my words, something I did, ye,
(26:35):
but come out by now. You know what I'm saying.
It's it's it's tells you. You know what I'm saying, Like,
have we gotten too sensitive as a society. I don't
think nothing changes in society but sensitivity. You know what
I'm saying, Like how we view things, our perception of
things or social media. Yeah, I mean social media made us,
gave the voice for the sensitivity. You know what I'm saying.
(26:55):
But it is what it is. I'm not trying to
change it. It is what it comes out. If I'm sensitive,
I can recruit other people on social media. Yeah, we
can come together and say yeah we do hate him. Yeah,
you know what I'm saying this, but it comes with
it now. I'm used to it, like I've been dealing
with it on social media for since social media started.
You know what I'm saying, Like I say, like that's
what I've been grandfather. Then it so long. I've been
(27:18):
in so long. Like most people, I don't have to
defend myself no more. People that's doing it, they do
it for me because they know, you know what I'm saying,
They've watched me over the years. What's the reception that
you get when people see you outside of you telling
jokes on stage, or they see you in the streets,
they see you treat me like I'm I feel I
feel like I'm snooped up. I swear like they they
shown me so much love like I get I don't get.
(27:40):
I get love in my hometown, like cause I mean,
I am Jacksonville. You know what I'm saying, Like what
you see in me is in Jacksonville. I feel like
I'm I've represent Jacksonville the best way we can, especially
with how everybody else do it. I try to represent
it positive. I do everything. You know what I'm saying.
I give that, I do everything, so I try. I
try to be light, you know what I'm saying. So
I hope I reflect that, you know, But when what
(28:03):
about the privacy aspect of it because it seemed like
you know, now, you go out and everybody or they
want to take a picture. I've been on it. People
don't know what they don't know about me because I
give them so much, you know what I'm saying, Like
I give them. When you give so much, isn't there
something you want to keep for you? I do? I do, Okay,
(28:25):
I keep them, I keep my family. That's it. Everything
I don't care about me. I showed me all day,
you know what I'm saying. But I don't. I don't.
I don't show my daughter, my old lady. You know
what I'm saying. I don't show my own. I don't
even know she's Yeah, I know you seem about to
talk about you. Just I don't know everybody that's been
around me seeing you ever seen your Nope? Dope? Yeah,
(28:48):
I mean, but I protect what's around me because I
understand what comes with all this. So the people around me.
If I show my mom every now and there, because
but she's at home with Jacksonville, and Jacksonville is like
we that got you. We all. Yeah, I ain't got
to worry about that there, But everything else I'm protectable.
You know what you cost some slack on some tweets.
You said, Kodak is really up there with Kendrick Lamar. Lyrically,
(29:10):
you said, uh, jay Z don't want no smoke with him,
be a NB a young boy and the baby is
this generation's ludicrous? Okay, you must ask me he's one
of them. Ask me Kodak lyrically is up there with
Kendrick Lamar. Yes, even Kendrick could agree with me he is.
It's I think what I see in him. I y'all
(29:31):
see the ignorance of them, but I'm from Florida. I
don't see none of that. I see he got more
sense and the playoff like he did. You know what
I'm saying, And I'm kind of like that, So I
understand where he's coming from. So even though even if
he do wild shit, it's just like if you see
a young rookie, you you understand it, so you don't
you don't chance that if I am gonna say something,
(29:51):
I say something to him. It's just like with Boosey.
I feel like people like us, we're supposed to protect Boosey.
You know what I'm saying, Like because we understand them.
You know what I'm saying that we can't get I
don't I don't get mad if they're mad at him.
But it's up to us to you know what I'm saying.
So I feel like that with all us. Okay, so
what's the next? Jay Z and NB A young boy.
(30:13):
I was just being pycastic, sat. I was just being sidcasted.
Then the ass So I was okay, the baby and Luda,
I said, not oh du baby. No, I was saying,
just how they just animated. They animated. If you watch
their videos, they both animated it, entertain it, and people
don't give the baby credit. He ain't no luder. I
(30:34):
think he lyrically good though. Luded it's luder, Yeah, Lud,
it is lud. You know when you make that kept
comparison luded, Like I mean, I was just at this generation,
you know what I'm saying, Like this generation, I feel
as far as I'm not going bar for bar, I'm
just saying, as far as what's the word I just said,
I forgot it. Yes, he ain't happened. Shit the worry
(30:55):
where you He just animated? Yeah? Animated, Yeah, he just animated.
Just like it's like Luda, you don't see the animation
and debate but but see what the animation did not
hear those bars? And Luda, you know what have you
listened to the baby? Yea, yeah, I mean I liked
some of this stuff, but Luda don't nothing. But no, no,
you're right, you're right. I mean nothing. But okay, okay, okay,
(31:17):
you're right. Luda is up there. I mean, because that's
my boy today. I ain't taking nothing from Luke. Luda
know what it is. Luda understood where I was coming
from your shirt rich broke. Yeah, and you talk about
you said, you know what's worse than being broke, being
famous and broke? Can you can you explain what that is? Shit?
Social media? Most of the mothers on there, but no,
(31:38):
I mean it. What made me say that is because
I remember it. I saw when I first moved to Atlanta.
I'm not gonna say who it was, but it was
a comedian I looked up to I watched or whatever,
and I saw him on the bus and it made
me real, like, damn, I don't want to be like that,
you know what I'm saying, and inspired me to make
sure I never have to lean on nobody. Even with this.
(31:59):
Actually that I was like, dang, I hope. I don't
need nobody, you know what I'm saying. But I prepared
myself back then, you know what I'm saying, because I
don't want to be that guy that's famous because not
everybody know you broke. Yes, you know what I'm saying.
Everybody's around you. Not that you should care, but it's
like you wanna you can't even be who you are
because you got They don't care. Now, what about social media?
(32:22):
Because so because I look at social media sometimes and hell,
they got me thinking I broke. Yeah, they had me thinking, Man,
we're talking about that all the time. Many I'm laving,
like how much am I making? Like yeah, I'm looking around,
like what team you play? I ain't never seen you play.
I'm like, I don't understand. There's some entrepreneurs. But man,
they be talking about my plane. I don't know if
you've seen my little plane. Yea, I saw like they
sweat my planes, and I'm like, y'all and they be
(32:43):
looking at these big plane because what they perception is
everything on that. They they don't understand the operation. Cause
I was like, well, you can't afford that plane. No,
you could rent it, but you can't afford that plane.
You can afford the plane I'm in, right, you know
what I'm saying. But the problem is you don't look
like this in my plane. But I don't care because
because I see it for what it is. And that's
even why I even got the plaints like that to
(33:05):
make people understand that in our culture, to give them
education on aviation, because we don't. The only thing we
see is is what they show on the grand So
I try to show something different. That's why I use
my grandfather to inspire and then try to show what
we don't see. As far as in our coach, how
have you been able to be successful keep a large
a large portion of your money while trying to explain like, look,
(33:27):
I mean, you have nice things you want to do.
You like I take my old lady on vacation, I
take out to eat, I buy nice That's what this
rich brogue lifestyle. But you have to understand, now, you
gotta sustain this for a long period of time. Now
I'm gonna be able to tell joke for another twenty
thirty years. But by the same token, you don't ever
want to feel like I got to, I got to.
I gotta do this. Yeah, That's that's why I said that.
(33:49):
That situation made me understand it early, you know what
I'm saying. In my twenties, I saw it and I
was like, all right, I'm gonna make sure I'm straight.
I'm gonna make sure I don't need nobody, So all right,
let me buy a house. Let me buy a house.
Don't have to pay no payments on it. Boom boom boom.
If somebody nobody can't kick me out on my out right, boom,
get a car, pay for it they I ain't gotta
worry of it. The perfect this happened when nine eleven hit.
(34:11):
I ain't had no bills because they was all paid for.
I mean, you had utilities and stuff like that, but
I had no overhead. Right, And then all that time
I don't you probably have people call you people that
I don't have more money than me, calling me asking
me for stuff, right, you know what I'm saying. But
because they was calling debt in the bills they had,
I made sure I don't have bills, you know what
I'm saying. That's what rich broke is. It's just a lifestyle.
It's like not living above your means. Because when stuff happened, Like,
(34:34):
when this happened, I couldn't. I just started back working.
I've been hurt for six months. Ain't no income coming in, right,
but I prepared myself and when nothing come in, when
I don't need nobody, I mean why I don't need nobody,
you know what I'm saying. So that was just my
whole way of thinking. You know, sometimes do ball is
that what we have? What happens with celebrities and entertainers athletes,
If that you want the perception, you want to project,
and so you get things that you probably don't really need.
(34:56):
It's okay to having as you veal, but you don't
need five. Yeah, it's okay to get MoMA house, but
your mom house shouldn't be bigger than yours. Get something
mom can up and he can maintain that. You don't
have to staff for mom. Yeah, and you understand when
I buy stuff, it's for my family, right, everything I buy,
when I buy, if I buy property, it's like, all right,
we can get this for everybody. They can just come
here and boom boom, boom boom. It's either for my
(35:17):
family or my daughter. You know what I'm saying. Everything
I got when I passed is for my door. But
I mean as far as going one right, yeah, one child,
it's you on them out. Probably when I get like
seventy or something, happy to do. What what the hell
you gonna do? You ain't my granddaddy did my Beohamian
granddaddy had the child? My my my I my same age.
Well actually I might be younger, older than her little
d ball. What when you get to be saved that
(35:37):
you ain't gonna do nothing? But look at that woman. Bruh,
it's it's gonna think about it. We already let having
babies and bowls. All I gotta do is say, hey,
I want a boy. I just want to have my name,
say don't going down. I just want that blood line
for you. But I want to get started first of all.
Think about it right now, you fortified, right and you
broke up? Now you do really realize when you get
seventy of these injuries like to take they told this
(35:58):
is this is what I think. This is what you're thinking.
Because I was raised by old people, and old people
is still the most in in me. You know what
I'm saying? Old people do they care about you more?
I feel like that's what I'm gonna be the most
nurturing for the child. Yeah, you know what I'm saying. Like,
and I feel like I can give more rock your
grand dude, your grands and your great grands when you're seven. Yeah,
(36:20):
but you know anything, I promise you, I think I
can do it. I think I could do it. I
think I can do it because I'm adopted you. No, No,
I'm telling you. See, I'm I'm little too, so my
servent day and your seventy, yes, my seventy is fifty.
Little people live longer. You see what I'm saying. So
if I'm gonna be I'll probably be like if I seven,
I'll probably six. I don't mean your face it work,
(36:41):
my face, it will work. I did still working. I
was scared about that, bro. I didn't tell you. I
was scared after this shit because it took me a while.
What because it took me a while to get back
fucking again. Because the surgery, what surgery that I didn't
have surgery I'm talking about after my have no surgery
down there, nigga, Oh, this is like all this is
(37:01):
messed up now. So I didn't know, like when I nut,
you know, the muscle comfort oh, we gotta cut. I
asked you, how far can go? Brou I think, okay,
I think here here. You know, you make me feel
cool man like, I mean, you made it comfortable. I
(37:22):
don't talk like this people, man, I don't. You're my shit.
You also tweeted about billionaires. You say real billionaires and humans.
That's livestoped. Remember that next time you glorify and praise one.
What do you mean by that? All right, that's a
good question because I understand it's kind of hard me
explain because I'm not the best articulating this part of it.
(37:43):
But I guess the best way to explain it is like,
when you become a billionaire, it's more like a machine
at this point. It's not really it's business. It's not
it's not about humanity. So look at words you say.
When you become a billionaire's harder to maintain or build
or developer. It's hard to do that without fucking somebody
else over. Somebody's catching the bad end of the stick, right,
(38:05):
which it's always that in Yang and Yang. You know
what I'm saying. I understand that, But at the same time,
it's like, you gotta you can do that. You ain't
gotta be a bid at a screw over something. You don't,
you know what I'm saying, Like you and you don't
have to be a billion I have to live a
great life neither, you know what I'm saying. That's when
rich broke is, you know what I'm saying. So so
when I see stuff like that, when I see people
chasing it, because I see people, now that's the thing
(38:25):
building that billionaire, and they make it like it's so
easily obtained, you know what I'm saying, when it's really not.
Just really, ain't that minute And when you hear it ain't,
it ain't, but it's social media makes it seems like that.
So when somebody like me saying it sounds like hating,
but it's like I'm not. I'm just trying to make
y'all get a reality of it. It's like you can,
you can chase all this, but you have to get
(38:47):
the understanding of what you're chasing. Otherwise you're just chasing nothing,
you know what I'm saying. So that's really what I
was trying to explain with about billionaires, and like, all right,
you're doing that for this is you're really doing this
for the money or what you're doing. Fuck, you know
what I'm saying. I understand why you're doing it. Well,
when Mea came out and defended this billion their friends,
did you take offense? Did you have a conversation with me?
I don't take offense. He rather be your friends. That's
(39:10):
his friends. He of course you know what I'm saying.
I don't it. Don't stop with I say. You know
what I'm saying, No being their friends? Yeah, but I
mean I don't. I don't know. I ain't said what
I'm listening. Nope, Okay, you said, uh, you said you
(39:30):
believe you're building up friends like young Miami. She's saying
something that she liked to get, you know, a golden shower.
Why why would you? Why would you say that? Because
boydom building that's be wilding when it comes to that
freaking ship brouh. You had to be like, I got
a billion that friend, that's that's why I don't be around.
And I'd be like, hey, man, I can't do all
(39:51):
this shit. I get about that. So when she said that,
because you know, people are like, man, she ain't doing it.
Nah that she fucking with some money you get you
like getting paid on that. You know, with all this
you got draw a lot of ain't something. They ain't
got enough money. Ain't he made enough money for me,
ain't made enough money to Kate. But hey, that's what
(40:12):
you like to do, do your thing. I tell you
what I did. One of your tweets that I did
like is the Russell and Russell Wilson and Sierra. They
seem to have a great relationship. And and you said,
there are a lot of Russell Wilson's out there, but
you women don't want to see that because that Russell
Wilson doesn't have the money this Russell Wilson has. Yeah,
it's because perception. You know, we've when your kids a program, girls,
(40:36):
a program even like you go back to social media,
it's like they've they've they've programmed like ten years. That's
a whole generation of women. Okay, So if they've been
watching this is what it takes to give a man,
that's what they gonna go by. You know what I'm saying.
But that's not the reality of is right. So they
judged the man by what he what he has, what
he has financially, and you know what I'm saying, Like
you shouldn't never miss. Nobody ain't got nothing. But at
the same time, you're chasing billions and millions of dollars
(41:00):
when they ain't. Really let's say, finishing with blacks with
black men, there's not that many of us that got money,
money for real, you know what I'm saying. So, and
if there's like a million, even statistically, if there's a
million women, and then you got a ten thousand, ten thousand,
ten niggas. You know what I'm saying. That you want
(41:21):
you know what I'm saying, because you want this, this
power dude. You don't want the regular You want this
type of dude. This that whatever you're gonna he has
a bigger selection to truth. Yes, yes, and they take it.
They take it like you're trying to step It's not really.
It's just just give me the reality of it. You know.
It says, are you a Russell Wilson type? I am?
(41:44):
With my old lady, Yeah, I think I am. Well
who you think I'm talking about? Russell married? I'm talking
I mean because people, cause I got me and old lady.
You got side chicks too, But I mean, and even
with them, I don't disrespect. I mean, like they long
what you mean you got side chicks. I say we,
I mean me an old lady. Y'all got we got friends,
good friends. So you're like a Michael Blacksom situation. What
(42:06):
was this situation? Michael blacks like his wife, his wife
fiance they're not married yet, will allow him. I guess
once a month to go. No, no, we do it together.
It ain't no fun if the homie can't have none.
That's how we kick it. As that we kick man.
Y'all be meeting me women there, hey man, they find you,
you know, nig you find you, get on my aunt
tie of the week. You be in my comments? Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah,
(42:33):
I got to know that. So marriage are you? Are you?
Are you? Do you want to get married? I feel
like I'm married soon as I commit to you because
I'm a lawyer person. If I feel like what you
mean you're a lawyer person? There, I am lawyer. It
is in my heart because it's between me, you and God,
(42:54):
not paperwork. I do it. I have a wedding for you.
I ain't just ain't doing that paperwork. Do you sign
country that don't benefit you? No? I ain't either. Stay
woke and she's cool with that. How how long How
long have you been with this one? Sh it's gone.
(43:14):
It's the third year now, third year. Yeah, so what's
the longest you've ever been in a relationship? Eight years?
The shortest relationship eight ten months, ten months. So I
don't call a relationship till we live together. That's when
it's a relationship. You don't really know a person. Yeah,
you don't know nobody. I don't care. Especially nowadays, you
can put on any type of character and tell you
(43:36):
with that person every day and then yeah you and
you can't do it like you can fake all you want,
but you can't fake that much around me. Like it's
gonna come out, you know what I'm saying. Because I'm
too regular, I'm too normal, So you're gonna it's gonna
come out eventually. So that's that's why what caused the
eight year relationship to end, because that's a long time
to be that's a long time to be with it.
(43:58):
I'm trying to think, I'm trying to think what calls
it in? What did you say? What did you do? Honestly,
I think it was more so she acts like she
liked girls, but she didn't. She she changed and then
when that changed, the dynamic of the relationship changed. I'm
being honest, that's where I think happened. So that's what
you want. That's when I started cheating. I wasn't cheating
(44:21):
until until until I couldn't. I don't know what. I
don't know what. You've better how I had Ricky smiling
on a couple of weeks ago and shout out of
Rickey smiling man, Ricky bless upro sty for the loss. Yeah,
I love you, man. Dating when you're famous hard harder.
(44:47):
How do you go about navigating and find someone that
really that can seek outside of what you can do
for them monetarily. Well, I feel like I want do
for any woman I'm with money, telling just who I am,
but on top of that, but you don't want them
to all be with you because you can't do that
and it come out eventually like you everybody be too
(45:09):
late about that. The money ain't the thing for me.
I mean, that's if that's what you will before that's
gonna go because once I cut you off, you have
to find another somebody like that. So I don't trip
off the money part. It's more so with me, But
it's a lot either. She could she could last a
lot longer. She got two millions to buy dollars, or
she won't get to me. Most girl, believe you didn't
(45:31):
think about it. When you cross that leg early, what
you do, I'll cross my leg. That's how I know
I'm too comfortable with you because I forgot my leg.
You move real quick. I forgot my leg hurt. But
what was I saying through me out? You said, you
said someone want to be with you financially, you say
you gonna know? I mean that every girl I've been with,
(45:52):
they don't be chasing the money like they at least
from what I've seen with him. Like every girl I've
been with, they just they not like that. It's been
different other problems, you know what I'm saying. Mostly they
don't they because when you get in a situation, we
don't have to do nothing. Now you gotta do the
hardest thing is just like yourself and just enjoy yourself
and boydom as a motherfucker for people. You know what
I'm saying, And that's what it is. Now. You got
(46:14):
to find yourself and then you find a lot of
other stuff and then it makes you go back to
that person. So that's what was happening. But as your
popularity increase, was it more difficult on the relationship? Now?
It was easier because, like if you look at my
social media, I am who I am, right, so a
lot of I can read through I understand. I knew
how to read through people's social media. Good, you know
what I'm saying. Because I've been so long so and
(46:36):
a lot of girls believe a lot a lot of
them waiting on me to break up. It's just waiting,
you know what I'm saying. A lot of them. You
they it's a lot of good girls out here. Like
we said earlier, it ain't hard to find a good
girl than me, right, you know what I'm saying. It
ain't hard. So they waiting now, ain't. It ain't hard
to me to date. It's just dating the right one
that connect with me. That's the hard part. Well, you
(46:57):
got the one, because that's why I said, I found
that one. That's why she's my old lady and she's
the main one. They ain't going nowhere, you know what
I'm saying, because at all of 'em, I feel like
she my role though, like she and she really like gay,
like she really liked girls, you know, So that's a
good thing. That's a that's a that's a like a
that's a like like one. That's one on your lift.
That's not that's not the main thing. It's just like
I like to talk about girls. So if we're talking
(47:19):
about girls, it's just like if like how me and
you talk, if we if we off the line, or
whether we're talking about the girl. I don't want to
have to change what I'm talking because my old lady there, right,
we can talk about this girl right here with her there,
because she was there with the girl. Right. You know
what I'm saying. That's what I like. You know what
I'm saying because it's friendship. You know what I'm saying,
just like our friendship. I I treat my relationship friendship
(47:39):
like my homeboy friendship, right, And that's what I like.
That's the connection we got. I have that conversation. I
want to know how that conversation start. Eight Like, Hey,
how you doing. I don't have to do it no
more because the girls know I like girls. They've been
following me long enough. Yeah, but I'm saying in the beginning,
what do you like? Oh, I like to go to
the movies. I like to go to the park. I
like to go to the museum. I like Oh, I
like to do oh. By the way, I like girls
(47:59):
that I like the girl that I liked to like girls.
What you mean with the with the man ship? Yeah,
I'm just saying, how do you how do you get
to that part? Okay? I like the movies. You know.
It's like it's just like I said, they already know
I like girls for the most part, from the beginning
before social media. Oh I well, before social media, it
just happened. I guess back now, don't just happened it
(48:20):
did before social media. You got to think before social
media is media was almost twenty years ago, right, So,
like I said, since I've been on social media since
my Space, so I've built twenty years worth of people.
I built grown people from My daughter was born on
social media, right, So I mean I've grown a whole
generation of people that know me and know It's just
like I know you. You know what I'm saying. I
(48:41):
don't know you, but I know enough of you to
know your personality or sitthing like that, and they know
what you like or they know what I like because
I'm open with stuff I like and that so I
don't really have those type of problems, or if I do,
I straight up, I'm straight up with a person. That's
another thing. I'm honest. I'm like, hey, look, I like girls.
Do you like girls? All right? Cool? You do talk
a lot about baby mamas and you always tell the
(49:03):
guy and make sure you choose the right woman if
you have a child with blah blah blah. How have
you been able to like only have one daughter? Because
because I'm responsible, I wear rubbers for real, Like I'm responsible,
Like I can I can count on one here and
how many girls I don't rolled in my life And
I don't suck a lot of women, but I rolled
(49:24):
maybe five. So I'm just responsible, man. I that's the
thing that's kept. That's another thing when you ask me,
like what happened in life? Is well, I don't get
sucked over as far as financial as I'm responsible. You
know what I'm saying. I don't live above my means.
I don't do nothing that that that can affect me
later on, Like I'm not people get tattoos and later
(49:45):
on down the line. Yeah, I ain't got no tattoos
because why would I do something that's gool for life.
Then I don't know why. I might change my mind
next year. I'm looking at it. So when buying flights
for women, make nobody their own ticket, then getting the
money back soon as you lay Oh yeah yeah yeah
yeah yeah yeah. Why do you make up? They don't
take it because they women were renewed quick? Oh something
came up. I couldn't find a babysitter, and we're supposed
(50:06):
to take that out. Nah nah, No, can't do it.
You're gonna take that hell on your on your money,
on your card. I get your money when you get back,
when you get here. But now that's that's happened to
me before. But that happened like a while ago. That's
why I know I don't do it no more. That
happened like fifteen years ago, and most of the time
(50:26):
they offered to pay for it anyway. Oh really yeah,
they fly, they fly themselves in you relate to Harry
toul Me. I'm really, I really am. People don't believe it,
but I really am, because I mean my great they
she's my great great grand aunt on my my Bahamian
grammy side. M. So when did you find this out?
(50:50):
When they told me and I put and I my
name on the statue in the bah I mean not
in the Bahamas and Feeling Bristol, Bristol, Pennsylvania. Yeah, she
got a statue in my name, my mama name, my
sister name, my daughter name, all this on the on
the brick. That's that's I mean you talk about. So
that's that's what I am. People just don't see it.
(51:13):
I'm just for that for a culture that understands it.
I try to be the voice to like to for
people that come from where I come from, to show
them the way out. You know, when did you find
this out? Did you find this out as a kid?
You just find out as a comedian when I probably
about seven eight years ago? You know what I'm saying.
Then it's that's why it's it's good to know your past,
(51:33):
because then it started making sense, like damn, this is
why I care about my people so much, This is
why I care about Jacksonville so much, or just being
from the streets and stuff like that. So did you
did you do ancestry dot com? You do twenty three
and me? Or have you I mean have you gone back?
Like have you traded? Because it's like I haven't, not
not as far as the the the DNA stuff. But
(51:53):
I just my grandpa, my grandma, my great grandma. I mean,
my grandma mother. She still alive, she ninety six or something,
you know what I'm saying. So she's told me a lot.
My my my, my, my other grandfather. I mean, I
know a lot about our story. But I can go
do that too, though, but we know our blood line.
(52:14):
Growing up in Jacksonville. What the little dude ball want
to be when you're growing up in Jacksonville? Exactly what
I'm doing right now. So class kay. I was cause
I had big niggas like you talking shit all day,
and I don't like to do was rank back, you
know what I'm saying. So, I mean like I came
up in Florida, shot most of them Hall of famers,
now you know what I'm saying. And I came up
(52:34):
with all them them boys and athletes and stuff like that.
So I just came up talking shit. Why Hello, you
went to four high schools? Yea? Why you got kicked
out though? You? I got kicked out of three of
them the fourth and I just went because I just
wanted to go with the holes. Why do you get
kicked out of High. How you first? I was mischievous
just we used to be wild. And you know what,
(52:55):
it's crazy. I had perfect attendance because I used to
love school because that's where all the women was. I
was popular. You went to jack Office school, you would
I was popular. I just used I used to have fun, man,
like we used to. I never was like the I
just used to be mischievous, like I just the best
way to explain. Like I tell everybody, I was probably
smoking from Chris from Friday, right, That's why I was
(53:17):
in the hood. You know what I'm saying. I was
that guy. I was straight out the worst part of Jacksonville.
But it didn't seem bad to me. It was just
funny and fun and they probably be being little kind
of saved me a lot because I wasn't a threat,
and I didn't even realize how little I was, you
know what I'm saying, because they never made me feel
like that. So I think that's what's what. I was
(53:39):
kind of ignorant to a lot of stuff because they
never Nobody never sucked with me. How did you get
the name little due Ball? Who gave you that name? Florida?
Because when I first started doing comedy. Yeah, I would you.
I would have hit the name before you got a
little due ball. What was your name before? My real name,
my real name Rolling, that was my real name. I
(54:01):
went by Rolling. But when I go yeah, boo, okay,
now this one got your common view, I tho that
I was. This what happened. I did common view and
then I did set you entertainer shout out, said you
he wanted. That's where I say, got me in the door.
You know what I'm saying. He either want put me on.
Once I did that, I was popping in Florida, but
they all knew me as oh that's Duval. That's old Duval.
(54:23):
Because in Florida, only people knew about Duval was people
in Florida. That's where we go by counties. Yeah you
want you to get a nickname. Yeah yeah, that little
du Voll, that little du Voll. So once I started
putting two and jobs, like damn, because when I used
to do interviews and stuff like that, that sometimes forget
the shout out duvall right, So I was like, damn,
the best way to do it just put it in
my name. That way, I'm always shotting it out. I'm
(54:45):
always I'm always representing and and what it does is
it it inspired a person just like when they see it,
especially back then, because you didn't see nobody from Jacksonville.
Du it. So if you heard that quick like boom,
yeah he's from Jacksonville. If he could do it, I
can come out of there, right, you know what I'm saying.
So just gave me inspiration. None shit not everybody's saying
(55:05):
due ball. Now you did you get picked up? Did
you said you didn't get picked Oh nobody bothered you.
But I'm reading here, you look like you wanted to
be on the You on the wrestling team. I was
on the rest of the team. I was good. What
did you mean picked on? I was good. I went
to State, but I lost to a white boy because
he was he had so much energy, so much Yeah,
(55:28):
because because you know, when you you know you're from
the hood. Yeah, you just slam just keep slamming and
slamming and slamming by that white boy kept letting me
slam him, slam him, slam him to it. I was
so tired. But that's why I respect people that box
because for three minutes, none stop bruh. Because if average
fight last was about twenty twenty six. Man, Man, I
(55:50):
was in that saying so tired. I think he probably
just did like that, and I just feel like I couldn't.
Then that shit had me t where do you want
to go? Did you want to do? Because you know
in the South, wrestler was he Georgia Championship Wrestling. We
had w but it wasn't big in Florida. I had
had women came to the matches, because you know, I
did everything for the girls. Back they had women came
to the matches, I would have I would have did it,
(56:11):
you know what I'm saying. I just back then, I
think I was because I tried to play football, but
I got hit so hard. I just joined the bad
so I like I couldn't. I was with people your size, Man,
I couldn't do that, you know what I'm saying. So
I went to you know, you're trying to find your
way when you in the hood. You know what I'm saying.
I knew I was good at I was good at
dancing making people laugh. And then in sport, because like
(56:34):
I said, I'm from Florida. Everybody played sports, so I
tried to play basketball. They cut me. That hurt me, boy,
what because I dripped with the ball all night for
like for like all night, for like two weeks straight.
I like nobody baby to take the ball from me,
and nobody couldn't. They still cut me because I was sure.
Then they got it. They let another short dude, but
he had a gross spurt and they let him. They
(56:55):
left him on the team. I was so hurt. Could
you shoot? I don't know, but I knew I could
driblet take them off from it. And that's all the
matter pointing it did at the time of my mind,
Oh I was, I was thirteen. You know what what
year did you move to Atlanta? Nineteen during the Olympics
nineteen six, So you came because I moved in ninety four.
(57:19):
So you during during the nineties, you knew about Freaknick.
I know something better than freak Nick. What Black College
week Day told him? You know about Daytona, what you
know about to come on that? See people say Freakni
and freak Nigga is the truth. But but that Walter,
you gotta think it was all in one spot Atlanta,
(57:41):
be yeah, it's everybody in one You know us that
you use downtown you pla lake Wood I mean you
are all over and but but Freaknick. But freak Nick
was crazy. Freak Nick was crazy. It was crazy, it
was but but Daytona was so bad. I'm not gonna
even talk about them because it's a charge, so I'm
not talking. But I was. I went up. I went
(58:02):
to day Jonah for about three years. My senior year
in my first my probably high school. No, my fenior
in college college. So I went my senior in college
and I went my first three years in the leage. Yeah,
you well, my senior well, my last year Savattas State
was eighty nine, so I went ninety. So you know
about Jacksonville. Yeah, you knew about Duvall before everybody, most
(58:23):
of the public did. Well. I grew up in I
grew up a small town. I'm about about ninety minutes
from from from Jacksonville. Grew up in a small town
called Glennville next to Hinesville. Hinesville, Rug. Yeah, for my
folks there, no folks is way no, no folks is
way way down south folks in this Charlton County. That's
what Champion you said. Yeah, yeah, that's that's where all
(58:44):
my friends from there from that Canadon County. Yeah, see
that's where. That's way, that's way south. I'm a little
I'm up, I'm up north to little farther. You know
what for Stewart Yeah yeah, yeah, yeah, you're twenty miles
from Steward. Yeah yeah, I did I know this all this.
I just thought you went to Savannah State from I
thought you were from Alabama somewhere. No, because I know
a lot of people think I'm from South Carolina because
my brother. Well then you know, like Jacksonville is like
(59:06):
New York, took places, say in South Georgia. Yeah, well
we used to go to the Ferndeana Beach. Yeah yeah,
you go to the beat floor. We used to go
to the beach. Yeah yeah. See people don't know about
Ferndean Beach. I gotta I got property over there. My
family got proper over there now. But that used to
be a spot where it used to be American Beach
and a million island. All the black people could go
to the American Beach. You couldn't. It was separated by
(59:26):
that far. It's nice, it's up, yeah, it's super than that.
But now we got property there that you know what
I'm saying. So you know what do you what do
you what do you remember about Freakdick. I don't want
to talk about that. That's a charge. It wasn't like freekick.
Yeah it was a wild boy. I was a wild boy. Yeah,
you gotta think I was a little like people think,
(59:48):
like like girls used to grab a table. Oh he's
so cute. Yeah yeah it was up. But okay, something
else that let us known for what gentlemen club Huh
body tap, Cheetah, magic, stay, stroker, strokers, Uh, shooters, allet,
(01:00:09):
pink pony. You're not, I'm not going that where Uh
but it's the food. You know what they got has
the food? It's the food. Yeah. The wings, the wings,
the girls bringing the wings is amazing. I'm scared of
doing that wings because I talk too comfortable. How much?
(01:00:29):
How much is how much is your your your your
your routine based on your everyday life? My routine is
who I am. It's just another another entity of who
I'm like when I'm on stage. I I kind of
like more. It's more so like an evolution to stand
up high seed as far as comedy and entertainment all
in one. Like I try the best way to explain
it is, I'm like Samon Davis Junior do more than
(01:00:52):
one thing, same dance, comedy all that. That's why, yeah,
in one routine, you know what I'm saying, That's why
I try to do and this, and that's what comedy
pretty much is. Now, that's what everything is. We all
doing one thing every and that's what entertainment was at first.
You know what I'm saying. If you think about it's
just changed. We start separating the eighties. But before then,
everybody did one thing. You know what I'm saying, Even
(01:01:13):
if you go to Vegas, they all did everything right.
And that's what it's getting back to now with social media.
That's the good thing of social med is bringing everybody
doing It's like you'll do something that you wouldn't do before.
You know what I'm saying, Like before you just was
a football player. Right now you can be do this.
Now you can do that, And that's what the same
thing evolution with comedy. When you first started stand up,
did you get booed? If you got booed, what was
(01:01:36):
your How did it make you feel? I came up
in the boot era, you know then I start this
is my twenty fourth year. Man, that's a long time
I started nine and nine, but I mean, yep, Uptown
Comings rest in Peace. No, he the first person to
get me the mic. You know what I'm saying, He
I started. I think that's what made me why I am,
because it prepared you for everything, you know what I'm saying.
(01:01:58):
The only thing it didn't prepare me for for how
insative people on it, right, Because when you come through that,
it makes you tough, right, you know, it makes you
It makes you have to get back out there. You
know what I'm saying, makes you hit them, hit them
jokes like this hit you know what I'm saying, where
now you They don't want to hear that. You know,
there's a little sensitive, a little softened down, which is
and not involved my stand up to that too, because
like I said, it's more entertaining that, it's more giving
(01:02:20):
them a show, you know what I'm saying. So I've
just evolved with the times with the comedy. So you
you you mentioned how but not trying to offend anybody,
but telling a joke. I mean sometimes it's always gonna
be offended, you know, Like it's they could get offended
by you saying bush Bulle jiving, right, you know, what
I'm saying, Like I can't change that, you know what
(01:02:40):
I'm saying. It's just it's just like if people want
to be mad, they're gonna be mad at me. Has
someone ever come to use it you curse too much
or you talk about sexuality too much? Have they ever
said anything that you do too much in your in
your routine, people have their opinions, but not in in
my real life, but just on social media. Right in
real life they show read your comments. I read comments,
(01:03:05):
but it's just read them like I don't take it personal,
Like I don't I read all. I mean when I'm high,
I'm reading them all. You know what I'm saying, but
like you can't read them all, but I'm reading as
much as I can fudge, you know what I'm saying.
Who was the first famous person you met in Atlanta? Uh?
The first famous person that I really looked up to?
And I was like, oh, man, I've met somebody, Diana
(01:03:26):
Sanders when you were tired at and a Super Bowl.
Well that's the first person I really liked. Damn man,
because I'm from Florida and that's the first Florida person
like it, Like it wasn't a comedian that that that
inspired was people like him. You know what I'm saying,
Like you see somebody like that. You know what I'm saying,
curl growing up, growing up now, I didn't have a curl.
It wouldn't take. My cal wouldn't take because I got
(01:03:48):
good hid you've been just said, you did take it,
gave you opportunity on Comic View, gave you a big
break on his DVD. That's when DVD's was being He
took me on tour with him and he didn't so
you over for see it. Yeah, said in the starting lineup. Wow,
So how did you learn the business? Because a lot
of guys said, you know, everybody, I really talked through
the comedies that I've had on here from Earthquake to
(01:04:08):
sedu the Entertainer to a lot of guys, and they say,
Steve Harvey gave me the game. Steve told me this
is what I need to do. This is how you
need to know. Hey, you gotta go on the radio
show and you gotta promote it and sell it out
and this is the way you do the business, and
blah blah blah. To make sure they get your money.
Make sure. So what they said, do for do well
with Dad, he opened the doors with give me an audience.
But as far as with me, everything I did it
(01:04:31):
was kind of new because like I came into social
media when it first started, so there was no blueprint
to everything I did. So I kind of took the
street street mindset and just my grandfather as far as
business and all that, I just applied then in my
hustle and to to everything. It was really just me
honestly when it comes to as far as showing me
(01:04:52):
the ropes, because everything that's standard comed is doing that,
that's not going on now, you know what I'm saying that.
Then I came up under it's it's it's going on
for us, like jazz, you're not jazz. Jazz not going nowhere.
But the young kids don't get fuck no go damn jazz.
It's a whole different generation. So the same thing with
stand up. Like stand up, it's gonna be there, but
it's evolved into the next generation of what uh wilding out?
(01:05:16):
You know what I'm saying. Like I came up on
death jam. Now they on't wilding out, you know what
I'm saying. So that's what so nobody could teach me
what's prepared for what's now. I kind of was the
bridge to what's now, right, So I kind of just
was observant and understood. I just understood, and I knew
my moment, and I knew what time it was, the
time and of when everything was evolving at the time.
(01:05:38):
How did you get on comment? You? I think auditioned
for it. That ship was so lott good. How did
it go? Did you think you did a good job?
You're like, yeah, I did a good job. That's that
there about them keep replaying it over and over and
comedians hate it that back then, the old school comedians,
right like how people hate on the internet. Comedians they
(01:06:00):
the head on us because back then, com if you
used to show quick bits, right like, they'll show like
one joke, and one joke uld blow people up, just
like internet, one clip or blow somebody up. And they
used to hate that. So that's what I used to
deal with with them, like one that I have a
joke that was on common view and coming view or
(01:06:20):
replay it over and over and over again when they
keep playing over over again, these kids watching it right,
and I looked just like these kids because most of
the community I came up, looked like said and all
shut it up. Yeah, but I was looking like one
of them, so they identified me. Was I was raising
them right? So that's how uh the grand hustle I
had Tip on here. Yeah, and Tip, you know, obviously
(01:06:43):
a great rapper entertainment. He's been in movies, TV. I mean,
he's done it. He's done unbelievable. How surprised were you
that he transitioned and tried stand up? I wasn't surprised.
I knew it was gonna do it. Really yep. Tip
one of the people that don't tell him he can't
do it. He gonna do it, you know. So I
hate it when people kept saying it. I was like, man,
leave him alone, just let him just do what he do.
(01:07:05):
Yeah and more because everybody kept me. I knew he
was gonna do it, you know. So it's just that
ain't the only thing he'd do, though, he'd do a
thousand things. That's just like it's just like that. It's
like people looking at like that because he might be
building a partner complaint. You know, he got he got
his reality show. Like I said in the movies, Hey,
everybody know about he doing just like I said, I'm
doing stuff. I'm making the hits, I'm doing songs, I'm acting,
(01:07:28):
I'm doing I'm not just staying a comedian. So as
a matter of fact, you're up under his grand hustle.
That's my family. We all family, hustle hustle gang. By
his hustle gang. Now a grand hustle hustle gay. We
hustle gay. That's just family, man. Those are just friends.
Those are like my friends from I'm looking at all
the videos that you've been in. Huh a rubber band
(01:07:53):
or twenty folds, whatever you like, it is going down
or get low shoulderline, shady by applies by rather than
black by Young Gee, than diamonds and the back loota
you know e forty Yo, Gotti meet Meal two Chain
and Top Dollar Dog. But I was, I mean, that's
when the video you gotta think videos wasn't iportant. But
(01:08:15):
this way, this is, this is why I said I
didn't follow the blueprint. Okay, because back then everybody kept saying,
go to Hollywood, go to Hollywood. But back then what
they didn't pay attention to. Nobody was on TV black
on Hollywood. Right, the only thing that was on TV
was music video right, So I paid attention to that.
I said, fuck that sitcoms because the ain't that shit.
(01:08:37):
It's about done right. And I was like, everybody is
paying attention to music video right. And I was writing
Atlanta in the heart of all It was right in
the middle of the boom. And most of these people
was my friends anyway, Like we was real friends. And
they used to come to the comedy club because I
was in the comedy club then, so they wasn't even
they were still coming up. So once they came up,
(01:08:57):
they just showed love and we just we just showed
love to each other forever. So that's how that that's
why I was in so many videos. Are you a partier?
I am, but I'm a forty five year old party party. Yeah,
I'm the who there? What's going on? But they got
nine that like I, I hang with young people, but
(01:09:20):
they gotta hang with me. I'm not hanging with young people.
They gotta hang with me. So I like, I like,
I like, I just I like hanging out. Give me
a top artist music uh Rappers two thousand, two thousand,
My top favorites, Yeah, who my top favorites? Tika. I
(01:09:42):
don't really and the people say think I'm biased with that,
but I don't think he get his just due. I
think he wanted the best lyricists in the game, not
just the South. But if you listen to him, even
how he evolved lyrically over time with his age, I
think he wanted the greatest. You know what I'm saying.
Kendrick Lamar, Kodak Black. You gotta listen to Kodak. If
(01:10:05):
you really listen to him, you'll you'll get it. Just
listen to him. Man, who else? Okay, you got Jay,
you got Whole, Wheezy fifty, Kanye, Nelly, T, I am
Snoop Snoop. I'm gonna go with Snoop. Snoop Snoop so smooth.
Snoop is like an instrument, you know what I'm saying, Like,
no matter what they say, you could and that's what
(01:10:26):
you want to be as ar as to me, like
even with stand up, you want to be like an
instrument or your voice, just like your voice. You know,
your voice distinct as soon as you hear you know
what I'm saying. So it's it's distinct. I don't know
if that's a good thing or a bad thing. It's you.
It's you. You know what I'm saying. That's why it
works because it's genuinely you. Yeah, you know what I'm saying,
right or wrong as you right, it's just like the
old your old grandfather. No matter what they say right on,
(01:10:47):
that's just him. That's how they That's that's what I am.
That to some people, Kanye, you got a lot to
on on social media talking about Kanye? What would advice?
What I mean if you could be, if you could
like Kanye, would fitting across from you? It's like, I am,
what advice would you give Kanye? I wouldn't give him
no advice because he in his head. You can't tell
him here a gem and I like me, people like us.
(01:11:07):
You got y'all nothing he said it. We can't tell
me nothing. Yeah, you ain't able to tell him nothing.
He gotta see it for itself. You know what I'm saying.
You gotta life gonna have to be his thing. You
know what I'm saying. It ain't for me to tell
him nothing. I mean I reported that he and up
since he Adida split because I just don't like how
people don't get it, like how you just can't see it,
you know, what I'm saying. That's where I'd be like,
y'all don't see like he's like the boy ain't crazy.
(01:11:31):
He knows exactly what he's doing. Do you think he does? Yeah,
you know what he's doing. I don't know. I don't
know people that know what they're doing. Losing one over
billion dollars. That's that's the arrogant part, you know, that's
the arrogant poet that talking. Yeah, you're gonna bite the
hand and feed you. Yeah, why would you do that?
Why would you do that? You know what I'm saying.
I'm looking at it. You know, you Gotta Smile peaked
(01:11:56):
at fifty six on the Billboard. Uh, number one on
the fifty four million views on YouTube, forty four million
listened to Spotify, Future and Can Kevin Hardy The Canway
a viral challenge of your song when when when other
celebs and you heard somebody, Uh, I ain't going back
and forth with you or say one of your catchphrases, Huh,
(01:12:19):
how did that make you feel? Made me feel good
because it was something I really did just to make
people smile, right, you know what I'm saying, Even like
when you did it, it was just like it's doing
everything I wanted to do, you know what I'm saying,
because I kind of, like I said, I know how
do use social media, so I kind of prepared y'all
for it, you know what I'm saying. I used most
of my songs and stuff. It comes from my jokes,
so I kind of used the smile bits was a
(01:12:41):
joke I used to say on on Twitter and Instagram.
So I just used that and and form made it
into what it is, right, what it is it is,
and to see what they do and see how changed
people lives. It's just God using me make which like
the new Frank Bucket. Do you try to pull the
most out of comedy of music? People always ask me
(01:13:04):
that it's really not know and it's not just comedy
and music. It's entertain it's acting. I don't have like
a it's just whichever one I could facilitate whatever I'm
trying to get out right now. Like some stuff I
might be able to express myself better through social media,
some stuff I might be able to express myself better
on stage. Some stuff I might be able to express
myself through music better. Some stuff I might be express
(01:13:25):
myself through acting. I just used different ways. It's just
we're programmed to think we can't do that. Let me
ask you a question. If they were to take all
the social media platforms, they took Twitter, they took ig,
they took Facebook, they took Twitch, they took it a
little duvall didn't have social media. That's what it was.
When they deleted my page, I still was good. You
still had no you still had Twitter, you still have faceboo.
(01:13:47):
But I still was on the road making I was
actually making more money. You know what I'm saying. I wasn't.
It didn't. I'm already I've already built my audience for one.
You know what I'm saying, I've already And it's not
just social media. I was popping before social media. It's
just I took advantage whatever X, what's next? You know
what I'm saying, it's not it's not gonna be. It's honestly,
it ain't even social media that's really doing stuff for
people no more, because it's already kind of it's kind
(01:14:08):
of a selling told. Yeah, it's settled whether it's gonna be,
and it is what it is. People will still always
make stuff off of them come up, but it is
what it is. So it ain't like it's gonna make
up break me right right. So, But at the same time,
if it wasn't there, I do whatever next. I proved
that because I'm one of the people that they kept saying,
he made it. He made it when I did the
thing was setting the tank. They say he made it.
(01:14:28):
When I did MTV, he made it. I did, smile.
He made it when I do it MTV, he made it.
So I'm gonna keep making it even when I'm eighty.
Uh is there any new music? I got a lot
of music, you know what I'm saying. I just put
it out strategically and put it out in the right
time and win the vibe right right. You know what
I'm saying. I try to give I try to put
Eco system music out. I'm looking at it up. How
(01:14:50):
did you get? How did you get? Snoop? Oh smile?
How did you get? If you work with too Short
and t I tank Snoop? Snoop is one of them
good guys. He shows love to everybody. He always showed
me love even before that. I think I met him
through DJ Pool DJ Pool. I shout out DJ Pool,
DJ Pool legend in the game he put me in.
He did Friday, he wrote Friday, you know red. Yeah,
(01:15:12):
he put me in the movie grow House, right, And
I I think that's how I met Snoop. I I
think I met him through that. But either way, when
I met him, it was all love. He opened his
arms to him in and I let him hear a smile.
Bet he say, sending that thing, man put something on it.
And when he put something on it, man, he put
God on it. Mate, kilt it. He he he killed
(01:15:35):
you man? So you do you like? So are you
interested in? Do you want to do more movies? Yeah?
I'll do I mean I was doing. I mean I
want to do series. You know what I'm saying, Cause
movies ain't nobody going no, God damn movies no more.
You know what I'm saying. I mean, we don't send
in the movies no more. So it's more so serious now.
So even with movies, I kind of was chilling off
there until he evolved to this now as he evolved,
and sell him a series. So you want to do
(01:15:57):
something like Snowfall, something like they don't even have to
be snow on something. I mean not even the hip hop.
They just something that express whatever, whatever make me look,
make me that I can pull off. You know what
I'm saying. They don't have to be something in our world.
I mean you're you know. I look at you guys
and like boot Seed does this thing, you do your
thing the underground. I mean so, so where where ten
(01:16:19):
five years, ten years from now worth little dude ball,
where where where are we going with this? To bring people?
I really want people to have the same spirit I
got inside me. And that's what I try to instill
in everything. Even when I go do a show, when
they leave, I want them to have that joy so
in that moment and they're feeling or whatever I got.
When they follow me on social media, when they see
me go overcome stuff, I see me go through stuff,
(01:16:41):
they go through that they use my way of doing
things to apply to whatever they got to. So that's
what I do for the rest of my life. I
just wanna I'm on the what's the worth the rampert me?
Is that? What the shit? Yeah? That shit? I'm I
want to do that. You know. That's where I've been
moving into. That's what I've been doing now, even with
my comedy and everything. Even when I'm move and just
the way I moved in life. I'll try to be
(01:17:02):
the change that I want to see. That's always what
I've been is if comedy is uh wilding out what
Nick Cannady is doing for young comedians, can you equate
that to deaf comedy jam? Yes? If you yes, I can.
I think it is. It's like I just said, it's
evolved from like I said, when when when def Jam
came out, they was mad at them because they only
had five minutes and jokes when it used to be
(01:17:25):
an hour. Right, you know what I'm saying, stand up specials,
you know, like Damon Ways, they had the special same
bad of our error. But then when def jam came,
it was boom, five minutes and you on the road.
F you know what I'm saying, Like Bernie Max that
that five minute thing or sedric all of them and
took them along. But people that was before them, they
was mad at that. So if you're mad at you're
(01:17:45):
doing the same thing to these jets that they did
to them, you know what I'm saying. So it's the
same thing. It just evolved, you know. So I think
it's doing perfect because that's what comedy, That's that's what
comedy is now. That's the to the younger generation. Who
do you who do you see? Will reminds you of you? Uh?
Daddy Banks and you got Drew Skinning, You got haht Davis.
You can see yall fly yep. I mean not so
(01:18:07):
much as the parents. I think your personality. I think
you guys are like you guys are like really really animated,
not just the animation, just who he is as a person.
I just see he got he got the values and
just how to move in it. And I can see
he You don't have to tell him that he gonna
get it, you know what I'm saying. Like you get
sitting and he'll ask you if he needs something. You
(01:18:27):
know what I'm saying. Something like him you look at like, ah,
he gonna be good, you know what I'm saying, No
matter what other people think, he gonna be good. So
I see him Chico Bean, uh shit, most of the
people on social media, all the comedians on there, and
I see a little bit of me and everybody. What
what advice would you give to the up and coming
(01:18:48):
comedians getting into this business and to have longevity like
you've enjoyed. Don't listen to nobody and prepare attention to everything.
That's what I did. I guess say I paid attention,
you know what I'm saying, because you I think people
they're going about what they saw, you know what I'm saying,
Especially when you're young, you your program kind of like
this is what it is. You gotta do this. You
(01:19:08):
know what I'm saying. Hey, I did that and went
with the movies. I wouldn't never been so powerful on
social media. So I just paid attention to what was
going on around me and understood, and I applied the
old school to the new school and bridge that gap
and made it what it is. So the same thing
I would tell them the young mother, because just just
you you see what it is. You just gotta be
very aware and understand. You know what I'm saying. I
(01:19:30):
wouldn't tell everybody. I don't like to give everybody advice
right at one time, because what I tell you and
what I tell them the two different things, you know
what I'm saying. So it's just like you would athlete,
like you ain't gonna teach this quarterback the same thing
you're gonna teach that running back, right, So it's the
same thing with people when I give advice, I don't
like to give too much advice on money or or
(01:19:51):
or advice. That's broad. You like the board to be
give advice on life, you know what I'm saying, but
not so much Ye give me advice. I'm gonna give
the advice see yeah, on life, on how to handle situation, yes,
but not so much on how because my blueprint might
not work for you. You know what I'm saying. So
I can't just tell you, Hey man, this is what
I did. I can tell you what I did, but
(01:20:11):
it ain't gonna work for you, right. You know what
I'm saying. I can get on there and talk shit
all day on Twitter. You get on there, you get
shut down. That's what I'm saying. So on the vice versus,
I can I snoop and say something. I can't say something,
so I have to understand where I'm in and that's
what they gotta do. You're a big Jacksonville Jaguars. I'm
a Jacksonville, Florida Jacksonville represent you got yeah, but I
(01:20:33):
rep Jacksonville Jaguars represents Jacksonville. So that's why I hold
Jacksonville Jacksonville Jaguars down because I know how much that city.
I mean, that team means to that city, and I
know how how I can affect the economy and a
city with a team, you know what I'm saying. So
that's why I push it so hard and I love it,
I know all day, man, because it represents us. You
(01:20:55):
got to think it ain't You've been in Jacksonville. Jacksonville.
We we over here and they they do their thing
and sometimes the only thing bring us together is the
Jaguars or somebody like me, you know what I'm saying. So,
so when when you see something like that and it
brings us together on hip hop, you know what I'm saying.
So I don't I don't kno, nothing like that. When
they was protesting football, like i'd be, Damn, I'm not
(01:21:16):
protesting this because this brings us together. Man in my city.
Trevor Lawrence, how far can you take? Y'all? Man? He's
good man, Like I I think on it, everything I support. Yeah,
But he's scared too, though, Bro that first the first quarters,
he'd be scaring the hell out of me. Man, he'd
be scanning the hell out of it. But I give
(01:21:39):
my props to Doug Piece man. Yeah, he's big coach,
like he's he took the situation and he flipped it
like I he gonna be great eventually, Trevor. But but
Doug doing his stunt. You up. You say you played basketball,
You didn't play. You got tried. I tried to play.
I saw John Wad dunk on you. He didn't dunk
(01:22:02):
on me. He broke. He crossed me up. It did dunk.
It wasn't on me. It passed. He passed me. See
that that was your man. Let me tell you what
happ hop and put my lag. Then it was a
fundraiser for Luke. We was having a good time charity event. Yeah.
I thought we were just having a good time. Yeah
he was serious. But you tried to steal the ball.
I was having a good time joking. I was just hey,
(01:22:26):
let's have fun. Now. He was dead serious. I ain't
been on the court since then. You shouldn't have been.
He went out about five six years ago. He cause
then you should. Yeah. But then, if you look, I
didn't really fall. He kind of pushed me. If you like,
if you go look at the ta he did the
georgan move on by the last he pushed me. That's
(01:22:47):
what made me fly my momentum because like had he
just just did it. I just went like that, but
he kind of like a you see what I'm saying,
I'm gonna get you out of her this what's coming up?
What can the people expect? I'm a little duvall in
the very near future. Well, I'm back on tour. I
got this back on my feet toy. You know what
I'm saying. I'm back on this tour I'm doing. I'm back.
(01:23:08):
I'm back on tour, and I'm back selling these. You
know I got I got my own smoke. You know
what I'm saying. So what a call It's called rich
broke ship. Yes, pre roads. We got in the packs.
I keep it in packs because nowadays this is what's
evolving to like we is becoming like cigarettes coming like that.
So I try to and that's the hardest thing for me,
(01:23:29):
having it all in one thing. So I this is
the most important thing, have in this pack, so I
can have it all in one place and not be
so loud on people. But it's firing. You can trust me,
do ball. Thanks for coming by, Thank you for having
your look. Slow down, I have here. I am good.
Look at this I'm up. I just stood it right up.
(01:23:50):
I just gotta I just gotta work these muscles. You
know about this, Well, the only reason it's hurt now
is because I didn't activate the muscle going left and
right like I was good like. I didn't know you
I had to do extra. I didn't know muscles do that.
But yeah, but you also gotta strengthen the muscle. Yeah,
and I don't know if you properly strengthened the muscle.
I didn't ever did that. I did them back hurt, shit,
(01:24:13):
heal up, come back, and Jordan super appreciate that. Dude,
Thank you, little dude of all ladies and gentlemen. All
my life, the grinding all my life, psycri fice, hustle back,
pricing right, wanna slice, got the broller dice to swath
all my life. I've been grinding all my life, all
(01:24:34):
my life, been grinding all my life. Sacrifice, hustle back,
price right, wanna slice, got the brother dice swath all
my life. I've been grinding all my life
