I'm Nicole Partner in Arizona, jury has found Lorie Valo
Dave Bell guilty of conspiracy to murder her a stranged husband,
adding another life sentence to her previous convictions for the
debts of her two youngest children and a romantic rival
in Idaho.

Speaker 3 (00:19):
Years of walk in the pits of hell every day,
it's still difficult, but it's okay. I'm ready to move on.
It's time. Today's a good day. We won.

Speaker 2 (00:35):
Like Charles always used to say, love always wins.

Speaker 3 (00:39):
Yeah and oh yeah, thank you for saying that. We
lost some dear family. We lost a lot, but we
have gained family as well. We got you, and you're
not the smartest person in the room.

Laurie da Bell, who holds Doomsday religious beliefs, received the
verdict in America County Superior Court late yesterday afternoon, showing
little emotion in response. Following the verdict, some jurors shared
their thoughts on the case, expressing confusion over the absence
of testimony from Valoda Bell's daughter Tylie Ryan, who witnessed

(01:16):
the shooting, and her brother Alex Cox, who was responsible
for the shooting of Charles Valow, one juror saying, quote,
it was very confusing. It felt like there was so
much of the story that was left out. The jurors
were not given the facts that Valodabell had already been
found guilty of murdering her two children. When asked what

(01:38):
influenced her decision to reach a verdict of guilty, one
jur cited the incriminating text messages that revealed inconsistencies in
Valodabel's story. Another juror, who initially had reservations, changed his
mind after hearing the prosecution's closing arguments. He said, quote,
until yesterday, I would have probably said not guilty. But

(02:00):
there were several points made in that closing argument that
were very significant to me. According to prosecutors, Valodabell conspired
with her brother Alex Cox in a shooting death of
Charles Valo at her home in Chandler in July twenty nineteen.
They alleged that she sought to benefit from his life
insurance policy and intended to marry her then boyfriend Chad

(02:23):
dabl an Idaho author known for his writings on prophecies
and the apocalypse. Alex Cox, who claimed self defense in
the fatal shooting. Died five months later from a blood
clot in his lungs, raising questions about his version of
the events. Jurors deliberated for three hours over a course
of two days. Valodabell, who represented herself during the trial,

(02:46):
argued that she was chased by Valo with a bat,
prompting her brother to shoot in self defense after she
exited the house. This trial was the first of two
criminal proceedings Valodebel faces in Arizona, with her next trial
set for early June on charges of conspiring to murder
Brandon Bordeaux, the former husband of her niece. Bordeaux survived

(03:09):
the alleged attempt on his life. Following that second trial,
valalde Bell will be sentenced for Charles Valow's death, where
she could face yet another life sentence. In a notable
testimony last week, Adam Cox, Lurie's brother, told the jury
he had no doubt that she and Alex were involved
in Charles Valow's death. He recounted that the killing occurred

(03:31):
just before he and Charles had planned an intervention to
help valode Bell return to their shared faith of the
Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. He revealed
that prior to Charles' death, Valoda Bell had claimed that
her husband was no longer alive and that he was
quote a zombie. Four months before his death, Charles Valow

(03:52):
filed for divorce, citing his wife's obsession with near death
experiences and her claims of having lived multiple past life
on multiple planets. He accused her of threatening to financially
ruin and kill him, leading him to seek voluntary mental
health evaluation of her. This just weeks before his tragic
death or crime injustice news after this and now to Maryland,

where law enforcement officials have confirmed the tragic outcome in
a case of a missing mother of two. Not only
has her boyfriend been charged with her murder, but authorities
are also pursuing charges against his uncle for allegedly assisting
after the crime. Although this is not the resolution we
had hoped for, I want to express my gratitude to

(04:43):
everyone who diligently searched for missus Guerra, stated Charles County
Sheriff Troy Barry, regarding the heartbreaking conclusion in the search
for Lsabia Ramirez Guerra twenty three on behalf of the
Charles County Sheriff's Office. My deepest sympathies are extended to
her family, he continued. Deputies revealed that Guera's boyfriend, Casey

(05:05):
Alex Rosa, twenty four, was the one reporting her missing
on April two, two days following her last known Sighting
authorities suspected foul play, noting that the family's Toyota Forerunner
had been moved from the front of their home to
the back, and then back to the front again on
April one, a movement that deemed unusual given the property's layout. Recently,

(05:29):
Charles County deputies, in collaboration with the Prince George County Police,
conducted a search outside the Cedarville State Forests, and they
located Guara's remains in a dense wooded area. Rosa now
face's murder charges. He had previously been detained by US
Immigration and Customs enforcement due to his undocumented status. Additionally,

(05:50):
Maryland authorities alleged that his uncle, Rovan Berera Berera thirty seven,
acted as an accessory after the fact. According to documents
obtained by the sub Maryland News, the uncle told investigators
Thursday that Rosa admitted Guerra had died from strangulation. Investigators
also stated that Burrea Barrara assisted in burying the body,

(06:13):
with digital evidence that followed up that claim.

Speaker 1 (06:17):
How could a beautiful, young first grade teacher be stabbed
twenty times, including in the back, allegedly die of suicide? Yes,
that was the medical examiner's official ruling after a closed
