Speaker 1 (00:03):
Welcome back Fantasy Pros. I'm Andrew Erickson. Today we're continuing
our series of team needs going division by division, starting
with the NFC South. But before I get to my
team needs list before the NFL Draft, if you want
a chance to win a signed DeAndre Swift Bear's jersey

I have to do subscribe to the Fantasy Pros YouTube

claim your prize. It's not waste any more time. Let's
get right into the team needs for the NFC South.
Let's kick things off with the Carolina Panthers. Panthers GM
Dan Morgan has explicitly stated the team wants to tack

(00:47):
the defensive line this offseason, similar to the approach to
the offensive line last year. They signed defensive tackle to
Sean Wharton. They also added Bobby Brown, but I still
don't think they're finished beefing up that deal. They're reportedly
very interested in former bulldog edge defender Mickael Williams. The
Panthers are also listed at minus one pin forty to
select an edge rusher with their first pick, but don't

(01:10):
be surprised they select another bulldog, potentially in a linebacker
Jalen Walker, who could also bring value as a pass rusher.
More offensive weapons overall will always remain a priority for
Carolina as they continue to build around quarterback Bryce Young.
They resigned David Moore in free agency and have two
ascending second year wide receivers on the roster Jean Jaillen
Coker Xavier le Get, but Iowa states Jalen Nole could

(01:31):
be another wide receiver option in round two as a
future slot star replacement for forty five year old Adam
Thielen i Cad. Of course, Tithera McMillan Arizona would also
give Bryce Youung a massive target to throw to. The Panthers.
GM also mentioned Thinness and the tight end room, although
they did re sign Tommy Tremmell on a two year

(01:53):
deal and they will have Jatavian Sanders returning after a
rookie year in the defensive secondary, it's jacyn who signed
a four year extension and really not much else behind him.
Michael Jackson was added to a two year deal or
fourteen and a half million, but more defensive backs, particularly
at the safety position, is a big need for the
Panthers defense. J Ron morg was a great addition in vregency,

(02:16):
but there's not much else behind him. Nick Scott is
a veteran safety who only played six games last year.
He's a solid leader in the locker room plus a
strong contributor on special teams. The athletics. Joseph Pearson expects
Carolina to target another safety in the NFL Draft. The
Papers could really sign or draft any position at this point,
it would likely fill and need other than the offensive line.

(02:39):
That's where they are pretty good. They are truly a
best player team available, although I think there will go
defensively in the first round, which is how the sportsbooks
also see it. Again, heavy fairy weights to draft defensive
LIONSLUS edge at minus one forty based on their current
draft odds. Next up is the New Orleans Saints. Maybe

(03:00):
their biggest need is an accountant to get them out
of the salary cap situation they find themselves in, but
they always find a way to wiggle themselves out now
Before that, though, Saints, before free agency kicked off, a
number one need was in the trenches. Therefore, good movies.
They've already made resigning Chase Young to a three year deal.
They traded for defensive tackle John Godshaw from the Patriots.

(03:21):
Still Peyton Turner's gone, Cam Jordan is in the last
year of his deal, and the Saints are in a
good position to draft a strong pass rusher in a
deep class. Note that they are likely moving to a
three to four defense under defensive coordinator Brandon Staley has
outlined in the Saints Wire. This suggests they're going to
target edged linebacker players such as Texas A and M's
Shamar Stewart, George's Michel Williams, Jalen Walker linebacker from Georgia,

(03:46):
Tennessee's James Pierce Junior, or Marshall's Mike Green Walter Nolan.
A def's attack from Ole miss also makes sense looking
at it from the interior perspective. On the offensive line,
left guard Lucas Patrick's Simeon with the Bengals in free
agency and the Saints two twenty four offensive line who's
created dead last by PFF and pass blocking. Trevor Penning
has not lived up to his first round draft capital

(04:07):
as an offensive tackle and is not a long term answer.
The draft options include Will Campbell from LSU, Josh Connelly
from Oregon, and arionte Ursery from Minnesota. In the secondary,
Will Harris and Paul Sadiebo signed with other teams, while
Monta Taylor isn't the last year of his contract. Taylor
was also horrible last year, grading out as PFF's worst

(04:28):
coverage quarterback. Saints signed quarterback Isaac Gadham to a three
year deal. Saty Justin Reid signed on a three year
deal as well, so some cornerback draft targets, the Saints
could look at Trey Amos from Ole Miss, Today Baron
from Texas, and ECU cornerback Chevon Ravel unless Michigan's Will
Johnson is there though at ninth overall, I think New

(04:50):
Orleans might off for round two to select another defensive back. Therefore,
I kind of like going against the grain here with
cornerback as the favorite for them to draft first. It's
plus three hundred as a favorite because it's very inconclusive
about what New Orleans is going to do in this draft.
Looking a lot of these positions. I think the best
value might be for them at O line at odds
as long as six to one, but these positions range

(05:12):
are all over the place. Nobody can be quite sure
what New Orleans is going to do. As for quarterback,
again also in play with that pick in the ninth spot.
Derek Carr restrected his contract to create cap space for
the Saints, but he's probably gone after this year after
seeking a trade earlier in the offseason. Jackson Dart has
gotten real interest from the Saints, alongside Texas quarterback Queen Youwers,

(05:33):
Ohio States Will Howard, and Syracuses. Kyle McCord shitter Sanders
from Colorado is also not out of the run, and
given that he was one of the five teams deanstad
Or listed off at Sanders wants to be drafted by
Saints have two third round picks and potentially moved back
into round one they don't take the Colorado quarterback inside
the top ten. More receiving threats is also a big need.
Almost all of the top receivers on the Saints are

(05:54):
in the final years of their contracts. Chris alave Rashi
Jid also missed the majority of games last season. Brandon
Cooks side a two year deal with the Saints to
return to New Orleans, but he's also at risk of injury.
Some additional pass catch States could target at both tighten
and wide receiver include ty Felton from Maryland, Tyler Warren
from Penn State, and Titan Harold Fannon from Bowling Green.

(06:16):
But before I get to my next two teams, we
have to talk about the Fantasy Pros Dynasty Rookie Draft Simulator.

today at Fantasypros dot Com Slash Simulator. Next up, the
Atlanta Falcons. How funny would it be if Falcon was
drafted yet another quarterback with high end draft capital. Now,
that probably won't happen because they have bigger fish to fry.

(06:56):
Path rush, death taxes, and the falcons lack of pass rush.
It's the same story, same need every year. In twenty
twenty five is no different, especially after they released Grady Jarrett.
I know they added Leonard Floyd, but it's not only
on a one year deal, so lucky for them, it's
a great year to draft edge rushers. Don't blow this Atlanta.
One guy I think they're actually homing in on is

(07:19):
Marshall's Mike Green. Falcons had a massive representation of staff,
including head coach Rare Morris, at Marshall's pro day during
the pre draft process, and I assume that they were
all there to scout the top dey off. It's the
line prospect in Green. Other pass rushers they might consider
include Texas A and M's Jamar Stewart and Georgia linebacker
Jalen Walker. Another safety I think is also a big

(07:39):
need for them, former second rounder Richie Grant signed with
the forty nine ers. Jordan Fuller is a fine temporary fix,
but I don't think he's a long term answer. With
Jesse Bates holding down the other safety slot, South Carolina's
Nick em and Warri and George's Malachi Starks are viewed
as the top two safety prospects by the consensus Big Board.
Cornerback is next up on the needs as the Falcons
are still searching for our strong number two as from

(08:01):
aj Terrell. Mike Cues signed back on a three year
deal worth eighteen million, but de Alford remains unsigned after
leading the Falcons in slot snaps in twenty twenty four.
If you cornerback prospects Atlanta might look at include old
Missus Treamos, Iowa State's Darring Porter, and Kentucky's Maxwell Harriston.
Falcons also lost senator Drew Dollmon to the Bears, but

(08:21):
they're prepared for this. Ryan Noizil will replace him, but
they now require a new backup center given that Nozelle
is also in a contract year. Titan Kyle Pitts is
entering the last year of his rookie deal, it seems
unlikely he's going to be in the team's long term plans.
Replacing him with a future pass catcher or more traditional
tight end seems to make a lot of sense for
the Atlanta Falcons. A few potential targets among this year's

(08:42):
wide receiver group include TCU wide receiver Jack Besh and
Texas wide receiver Isaiah Bond. It is note worthy that
the Falcons don't have a third round pick in this
year's draft after the Matthew Judah trade last season. I
wanted to bring this up because Atlanta might spend some
of its limited draft capital on a tackle prospect, although
it doesn't stay out like a glaring need. According to
the Athletics Josh Kendall, tackle is though an area of

(09:05):
need given that the right tackle Cab McGarry, is entering
the last year of his contract. Right tackle is more
important now for the Falcons because it's protecting Michael Pennix's blindside.
Potential targets at tackle include Texas Calvin Banks, Ohio States
Josh Simmons, and Donovan Jackson. Wrapping up the NFC South
with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers and Folks, it doesn't take

(09:27):
a geniez to figure out what the Bucks need to
do defense, whether it's edge rusher, cornerback, or and off
the ball linebacker. The need is so clear for this
Toddbulls you need to improve after last season's port showing
the moves they've made so far. The Addison Reddick on
a one year deal and brought back thirty five year
old linebacker LaMonte David. However, this clearly isn't enough. Logan

(09:47):
Hall and Greg Gaines are also going to be free
agents across the defensive line, So the top draft options
when you're looking at the front seven for Tampa Bay
John Campbell, Alabama linebacker Donovan Azeruku from Boston edge rusher,
and UCL edge rusher Aloa feme Oladejo. Todd Bowles also
noted that this team doesn't have enough cornerback depth, so

(10:08):
they have to address it during the NFL Draft. That
can include prospects such as ECU cornerback Schevon Novel, Notre
Dame cornerback Madgamin Morrison, and Kentucky cornerback Maxwell Harriston. Across
the offensive line, left guard Ben Brettison was brought back
on a three year deal. Any offensive additions in the
draft should just be based on best player available, as
the team doesn't have a lot of offensive holes that

(10:30):
they have to fill. Tight End might be the only
sneaky need given that Kaiton is entering the final year
of his rookie contract. Props Bowling Green tight end Harold
Fannon finds his way to Tampa Bay, or perhaps they
move up to make a splashy pick in Penn State
tight end Tyler Warren. Also, wide receiver might be another
option for depth purposes. Mike Evans and Chris Godwin probably
aren't reliable enough at their ages to bank on staying

(10:52):
healthy all year long. Jay McMillan could take another step
in year two, but more depth wouldn't hurt them. Top
wide receivers that they've been looking at, Ohiowa States Jalen Nole,
Maryland's ty Felton Tsues Jack Besh, and Virginia Tech Jalen Lane.
To recap the team needs for the NFC South Carolina
Panthers edge last, defensive tackle, wide receiver, cornerback, slash safety

(11:14):
and tight end, the New Orleans Saints edge cornerback, offensive line,
quarterback and wide receiver slash tight end. For the Atlanta
Falcons edge lust, defensive tackle, safety, cornerback, center and tight
end slash wide receiver. And the Tipa Bay Buccaneers edge linebacker,
tight end slash wide receiver that's gonna tie a bow
