too high for me.

I feel like that should have been one of the
films that lives up to the hype and it just
and like I said, I will do myself and you
in the world of favor, I will rewatch it because
it it could be that simple. I have had those
movies where like, I don't know if you're a fan,
but Step Brothers. The first time I watched it, please
don't hold on. And then I watched it years later

and I was like, this is hilarious. I have no
idea what happened. It does make me wonder, like, what
was the mindset? Did my like, you know, Hamster die
that day that I watched it, and I just maybe
it must have been like that. I'm just you know,
it was crazy different.

Yeah, I don't think necessarily because we're gonna get back
to the Bigelbowski thing because when you said there was
no story though. Fuck Anyway, when it comes to comedies,
a lot of comedies. I don't necessarily laugh a lot,
but I can still acknowledge when shit is like really funny.
And I know that sounds insane, But a movie that
I felt that way was a Book Smart. Like Booksmart's incredible, right,

And so I'm that person who will sit watch BookSmart
for the first time with somebody who's watched it for
like a couple of years, look at it and just
be like, hmm by give them like there's like the
bare minimum acknowledgement that that was kind of funny to me.
But they're over here dying laughing, like and I walk
out of that saying, damn, that movie's fucking hilarious. Same
thing with Tropic Thunder. I don't think I laughed nearly

as hard as I laugh now at Tropic Thunder. By
do I walked out of that going yo, that's one
of the best movies of the year. But the whole time,
I'm just kind of like, hmmm, it's clever, funny.

I don't know if because I'm ana cool about it
or something. I don't know if like it's because I'm
really trying to get into the story or whatever, and
I'm just not allowing myself to just give myself to
the movie.

When I'm by myself, because you know, sometimes the theater
energy kind of like feeds it, right, you know what

what's great about theater experience because you're watching with a
bunch of people, the reaction, so it kind of like
feeds into it. When I'm by myself in a movie theater,
very rarely am I laughing like out loud. But again
it depends on the movie. Like a movie like Step Brothers,

I was laughing my ass off, and I laughed my
white chicks in the theater. I remember just cackling. Right,
what's another movie a comedy that I saw on a
fucking bottoms. I was hollering, Oh, Bottoms is great, bro,
think super Bad if it went full on? How can
I describe it's because it goes crazy like it. It's

this one is parody or it's not.

of the story because I'm not gonna spoil anything. But
there's something that they kind of like they set it
up right, but you always go, why are they saying that?
Why are they saying it like this? And then it
happens You're like, oh, they were serious, like you know,
so it just goes insane. So like that whole movie,
I'm laughing my ass off and I saw it like

on a date. So I'm just over here like ah,
and just so you know what, I'm on a date
watching a movie, Like I'm not necessarily like the biggest
talk or reactor because like I'm trying to be cool. Yeah,
but you know some movies I do legit like laugh
at in some movies. I will think it's funny, but
you know, nothing comes out of me. So you know
that's so I understand what you say about that.

I thought you were gonna say you didn't like step brothers,
and that's what we always gonna have to tell you
to get the fuck up. Interviews over, I was like, Okay,

Yeah, I genuinely like watched it. It was like how did
what was happening? Like I was confused with what happened.
But the reactions because I like, I like your contents,
like the movie reviews in general and so like, but
everything that you do, so the uh, what is it?
The the reactions that you're talking about for Deadpool versus Wolverine,
theater cameo reaction like that pretty much was me like

like in the theater because I was there, like opening
night with the crowd, which something you know people watch
online to watch YouTube videos try and tell them. I'm like, yo,
when you see the reactions that there's like, oh my god,
that'd be terrible. It's like you have to understand. These
are all fans, so we know that we hype up
and then we're immediately because we know we don't want
to miss a dialogue. We're not going to ruin the movie.
It's just like a collective energy. I'm actually on.

I mean sometimes out to see twice.

Like the reaction is that's like you know, the big
ones I might open like get back to back tickets,
but I'm actually in one of the reactions. You can
hear me very audibly and probably one of the most
viral reaction YouTube videos for Endgame.

I watched those all the time, like all the time.

Speaker 2 (11:19):
It was that ArcLight Hollywood, because the directors, the Russo
brothers came out, Kevin Fager came out like Allan Selvestrie
and someone else. But in the that was the screening
for Opening Night. They unfortunately did that mean cast. So
that was kind of saying but obviously all these other
greats and so that crowd was hype and you can
hear me yelling quite I got like all of those moments.

See two things with that is I that that obviously
came out like just before you know, I got on
TikTok and started doing all these things. It came out
just before that was what twenty nineteen. Avengers in Game
was twenty nineteen. So I started TikTok just a couple
months after that, No, just a couple months after that,
bro I was still working in advertising. I was doing
a commercial for Google Pixel and the Avengers in Game,

and so the Russos loved the commercial ones said, would
you guys like to come to a small screening we're
having at this hotel that they usually have screenings at.
So that's where I saw Avengers in Game for the
first time. This is before the big premiere, so I
didn't get invited to the big premiere, but I got
to see it with the Russo's in like this very
small room. When I tell you, this is one of
those press screenings, and I didn't know that there was
a difference between premieres and press screenings. So I'm over

here thinking, you know, people gonna be hied to me. Nah,
Press screenings are super fucking quiet. They do not care
like what type of movie it is, Like if it's
the funniest comedy of the year, they will sit there
quietly and they'll write their fucking notes. I didn't know this.

to be here. Biggest mall offence.

hopped out of my seat and I was like, I

to run doing what black people do, like being the

to run the aisles, but I'm like I can't do that.
So I sat my ass back down. Bro. Again, that happened.

there's certain movies that I will like, get up, hooton

holler for, especially when the crowd is into it too
and we're all going crazy, and sometimes and in the
middle of it, I'd be like, yo, i'ma have to
see this again because I don't know what they're saying.
I don't care what they're saying right now. I'm just
in the moment and I'm just like going nuts.

Your best theater experience, but oh, like, were you just
the most un energy best theater experience?

sitting directly in front of Hannibal Burds, the real hann

But like he was sitting right behind me. And for
those guys who don't know, Hannibal Bursts is a talker.

When he's like watching movies, like he talks through the
whole thing. So I got Hannibal Burr's commentary on Spider
Man No Way Home while like we were watching it.
And the funny thing is, obviously he hadn't seen the
movie yet, his first time seeing it, so he's reacting
to it like a fan to a movie he's in.
So one of my favorite moments is the lizard is

like in the truck. They just keep the lizard in
the truck and he's like, you know, like trying to
get out, and the whole time he's just like, yep,
that's why he's a lizard. You shouldn't put his ass
in there. Now he's gonna eat your ass up. Like

Like like I'm just getting all this Hannibal Burr's commentary,
and I'm just like, this is the best ever. And
so with like Toby Bogard comes out, Andrew Garfield comes out,

he goes, see, I fucking knew it. They try to
keep it from us, but they couldn't. I fucking knew it.
I was just like, so I was having the best
fucking time along with like the crowd reaction to see
if my boy Toby again for the first time since
say a Baby trilogy. Fucking Andrew for every scene in
that movie, well in the third act anyway, just fucking

magic and everyone in the theater just had no shame,
like popcorns going up in the air. Fucking people are
yelling and shit like you know. So and I got
to experience that twice because like there was other screenings
that I went to, and every screen that I went
to after that, people were just fucking going crazy.

build up it was. Yeah, even the Marvel like which
probably the theater experience in my life, endgame, but that was,
you know, a decade of building, whereas literally we're going
back to being children.

Man's Toby, it's Andrew on set, and so all these
theories was coming out, and you know, the trailers wasn't
giving us ship. They wasn't giving us goddamn nothing.

you know what I'm saying. And so like, you know,
the only thing that they really confirmed was that, Okay,
doc OC's gonna be in the movie Goblin, you know,
Electro and all these guys, But there's still no guarantee that.

And it was definitely a pushing pool, especially with like
you know, Toby just being like Toby doesn't want to
do press at all, so you're never gonna get done

little old for this toil when you just started to
believe just a little bit but not enough, but you're

just kind of like maybe. So when that popped off
in the theater, it was just kind of like, wow, Wow,
I can't believe this is like we're living in this
time right now. So, like there was a lot of
build up, not just from two thousand and two, but
just within that year when the first trailer came out
to when the movie came out. It was just absolutely bonkers. Bro.
But hold on, I'm gonna get back to this hot
take really quick because we you know, we did a

long long way around because I got rewatch it, watch it, okay,
rewatch it. The only thing I'm gonna say is the
story is just about a dude, you know, the dude,
the regular ass dude, regular schmeregular ass life, you know,

people encounter, we have no idea what the rest of their.

Story is and they just come in and they come out.

If you're just following me, then like you're gonna have
a bunch of incomplete stories. So I think if I
that approach, even as you were describing it, I was
like Okay, wait, Actually that probably.

Is that the so many characters in the movie that
when they come in, you're just kind of like, who's
this guy? Then you want like the two Like the
movie opens with two fucking tough guys, basically a Vincent
and Jeweles type from pulp fiction. They come in, they
put his head in a toilet, they pee on his rug,
and he's like, oh, dude, this isn't what's his name.

He's like, yeah, he looks like a fucking loser, and
like zips up his past and then you never seen
him again for the rest of the movie. You never
see them again. And I'm just like, these fuckers just
came in and peat on his rug, Like these guys
are animals.

Like that's why, like pulp fiction starts eight stories, but
then they finished they do finish there. It's like, you know,
that's why I expected. I think there's some.

he comes in and catches the miss Poker, miss Pawker,
like even even the pastor Like he's like cartoonish but.
