Speaker 1 (00:01):
Wake up, Time to go to work, all right? Can
we talk about get it? Get it? Yeah, wake up,
I get it that get it that goal with everyone's
saying that, mom next, it's not my fault. The focus
a goal, that making that that's the web that is
a movie, the way that that role they saying him people, Baby,
you know I'm making everybody upset because we still best.
Speaker 2 (00:22):
We get rapped and I know, gunna get bread, donning
get bread, Donna get bread, bad.
Speaker 1 (00:31):
Bread. Because I was just saying that if there's a way,
if I could cash it on my feet, like I
feel like you ever hear that Little Dickie song. Nobody
hears these Little Dickey songs but be and seeps. But
he has an outro on the song called Truman. It's
one of my favorite songs, like ever because it's a
giant Truman Show reference. Little Dicky is like the man
Bro Bro. It's a bomb ass song, Like, oh my god,
(00:54):
I was. I was listening to that for like two
straight years. That's I was contemplating quitting work because that's
what it's about him quitting advertising to went to rapping.
And I was contemplating quitting advertising to get into like
this YouTube, so like I'm like, this is perfect for me.
But the song is I want to say, seven minutes long, okay,
maybe three minutes of rappings, three minutes of rappers. So
it's about a four or five minute outro of him
(01:15):
just like talking and at one point, mind you, the
beat still going. At one point he got the reverb
on his voice, the echo, and he's just like, I
just want to get to the point where I'll sell
pictures of my actual asshole. Like I feel like that
would be such a feat Like if I just like
sold TMZ pictures of my actual asshole under like an alias,
I'm surprised Seth Rogan isn't already cashing in on this,
(01:35):
Like yo, you know what I'm saying, Like Peter park
Like your ass is Spider Man and you're Peter Parker.
Speaker 2 (01:42):
Yeah you know.
Speaker 1 (01:45):
And I was like like I would do my ass,
but like I would do my feet like you know
what I'm saying, like, oh Straw had goofy at the pool,
here's his feet Like that, all the pictures will look
like somebody else from a distance taking photos of me.
Oh you know what I'm saying, Like my fet got hot,
but it's me right. Imagine me at the pool, like
going out to strangers. Man, excuse me? Can you take
(02:05):
a picture of my feet from like over there?
Speaker 2 (02:10):
There's another video.
Speaker 1 (02:12):
Yes, Ace would do his fe Yes.
Speaker 2 (02:15):
He would probably. He has a bit about like feet
and people GROSSI and it's in the comments all the time.
Speaker 1 (02:21):
It's like a thing he's been doing for a couple
of years.
Speaker 2 (02:23):
Oh my gosh, he can wait.
Speaker 1 (02:25):
Does he actually cash on his seat though, like actually
make money or does he does make fun about it?
Speaker 2 (02:29):
First of all, would we make money on his feet? Yes,
we would, but he won't not break.
Speaker 1 (02:34):
Them out for money.
Speaker 3 (02:34):
I got the Ace feet picks on the low like
two for five, wood for toe.
Speaker 2 (02:45):
Two for five, plat.
Speaker 1 (02:50):
Picture.
Speaker 2 (02:51):
I'm like, that's like taking a picture of the foot
and then blow out everything but one toe, Like here's
the free sample.
Speaker 1 (02:56):
Yo yo. I'm gonna have all my guests.
Speaker 2 (03:02):
For the rest.
Speaker 1 (03:03):
I'll have all my guests coming sandals from now on,
and I would just be I would just be like
I got the picture. Anyway, what's going on? Everybody? It's
your boy Juju? Here with another episode of Get Wrecked
with straw had Goofy. It is spooky Movie season. So
now I'm gonna call it Spooky Goofy Season. I think
that's like the best name ever. We're gonna make some merch.
I don't think we're gonna actually make some merch, okay,
(03:23):
because now you're gonna expect it. I just think the
name is cool. If somebody that's out there wants to
make some merch, then I'm counting on you to like
make that ship. You know what I'm saying. But we
have a very special guest here. You guys have seen
him on Big Brother, You've seen him on The Challenge.
You're gonna be seeing a lot more film in the
coming future. But you're also gonna see him a lot
more now, kyling young everybody, how's it going on?
Speaker 2 (03:41):
Man? I'm doing well. Man. I think I'm still you're
talking about I feel hyper aware whenever.
Speaker 1 (03:47):
How do I bro like honestly, and like, I've never
had a chair like this in my life. So, like
I've been doing this podcast. How many episodes were up to,
like shit like twenty yo? Well yeah, yeah, and we
have other ones like so like I've been sitting in
the shop, I've had plenty of time to practice, but
I'm still just kind of like it's too much. It's
for I think it's because like the chair is bigger
(04:08):
than me, so I feel like a rug rat. So
I don't know how to fill out the space and
the chair like a ruggrat.
Speaker 2 (04:16):
Bro.
Speaker 1 (04:16):
I'm just like, do I spread my legs? No, we
don't do that. Do I cross my legs? But I
don't do that naturally. It's just you're gonna see a
lot of fidgeting on this on this podcast.
Speaker 2 (04:24):
This is the warning. This, this is the warning for everybody.
Speaker 1 (04:27):
But now they know, Yeah, now they know.
Speaker 2 (04:29):
Man.
Speaker 1 (04:29):
So we before we get into anything, Bro, we were
just talking like off camera about hot takes and stuff
like that. And I feel like that's the best place
to start because you had a hot one that I
have to pause the conversation at pick up some popcorn
and be like, Bro, explain yourself. I let the people
know what you was saying.
Speaker 2 (04:49):
Man, So talking about hot takes.
Speaker 1 (04:51):
Yeah, And.
Speaker 2 (04:54):
I am not the biggest fan of the big Labowski.
Speaker 1 (04:58):
What the actual fuck is on with you? You know? The
first thing I thought about when you said that too,
what I thought of a big Lebowski quote, Like immediately
it has the walk going crazy. Am I the only
one who gives a shit about the rules?
Speaker 2 (05:11):
What's well, that's the thing you gotta explain. That actually
is how I feel? Am I the only one that
gives a shit about the words? Because there's just no
there's no storyline, Like, it's just random things that are happening.
And I feel like I think that maybe nobody told
me that. And if somebody told me that, I was ready.
(05:31):
But when I watched it, and I won't watched it
once to be fair, I probably do need to watch
it again.
Speaker 1 (05:35):
It was the last time you watched it?
Speaker 2 (05:37):
It was years ago. It was probably seven eight years ago.
Speaker 1 (05:40):
Oh yeah, you got it.
Speaker 2 (05:42):
You was still an adult. No, I was an adult.
Just not it just did. I just was like, wait,
so what happened?
Speaker 1 (05:48):
See? I feel any of these.
Speaker 2 (05:50):
Nine storylines that they started and didn't sup And I
think that was it? Just I needed that completion.
Speaker 1 (05:57):
I feel like this isn't a good enough answer for
me because I feel like I need to know the
circumstances of which you watched it. Was it like a
Netflix and chill thing? Was it like you know, there
was a lot of noise? Was it like at a party?
Like I need to know, how did you watch this movie?
Do you remember?
Speaker 2 (06:13):
No, I feel like at my friend's house. My friend
was a big fan. I'm like, all right, we gotta
finally watch this. And maybe just the hype was was
too high for me.
Speaker 1 (06:22):
But I don't know.
Speaker 2 (06:23):
I feel like that should have been one of the
films that lives up to the hype and it just
and like I said, I will do myself and you
in the world of favor, I will rewatch it because
it it could be that simple. I have had those
movies where like, I don't know if you're a fan,
but Step Brothers. The first time I watched it, please
don't hold on. And then I watched it years later
(06:45):
and I was like, this is hilarious. I have no
idea what happened. It does make me wonder, like, what
was the mindset? Did my like, you know, Hamster die
that day that I watched it, and I just maybe
it must have been like that. I'm just you know,
it was crazy different.
Speaker 1 (07:02):
Yeah, I don't think necessarily because we're gonna get back
to the Bigelbowski thing because when you said there was
no story though. Fuck Anyway, when it comes to comedies,
a lot of comedies. I don't necessarily laugh a lot,
but I can still acknowledge when shit is like really funny.
And I know that sounds insane, But a movie that
I felt that way was a Book Smart. Like Booksmart's incredible, right,
(07:24):
And so I'm that person who will sit watch BookSmart
for the first time with somebody who's watched it for
like a couple of years, look at it and just
be like, hmm by give them like there's like the
bare minimum acknowledgement that that was kind of funny to me.
But they're over here dying laughing, like and I walk
out of that saying, damn, that movie's fucking hilarious. Same
thing with Tropic Thunder. I don't think I laughed nearly
(07:45):
as hard as I laugh now at Tropic Thunder. By
do I walked out of that going yo, that's one
of the best movies of the year. But the whole time,
I'm just kind of like, hmmm, it's clever, funny.
Speaker 2 (07:56):
Interesting, you know.
Speaker 1 (07:57):
I don't know if because I'm ana cool about it
or something. I don't know if like it's because I'm
really trying to get into the story or whatever, and
I'm just not allowing myself to just give myself to
the movie.
Speaker 2 (08:08):
Is it even in the theater? No, it wasn't in
the theater, I'm saying for you because I'm like, yeah, yeah, anywhere.
Speaker 1 (08:17):
When I'm by myself, because you know, sometimes the theater
energy kind of like feeds it, right, you know what
I'm saying, Like you get into it because like that's
what's great about theater experience because you're watching with a
bunch of people, the reaction, so it kind of like
feeds into it. When I'm by myself in a movie theater,
very rarely am I laughing like out loud. But again
it depends on the movie. Like a movie like Step Brothers,
(08:38):
I was laughing my ass off, and I laughed my
white chicks in the theater. I remember just cackling. Right,
what's another movie a comedy that I saw on a
fucking bottoms. I was hollering, Oh, Bottoms is great, bro,
think super Bad if it went full on? How can
I describe it's because it goes crazy like it. It's
(09:00):
that third act is so insane.
Speaker 2 (09:02):
You never see it coming.
Speaker 1 (09:03):
Think think super Bad meats You ever watch what's that
fucking not another t movie? Yeah, it goes not another
t movie really quickly.
Speaker 2 (09:14):
But like like a serious like like I mean, not
even a movie is so parody, it's so parent and
this one is parody or it's not.
Speaker 1 (09:21):
I would say yes, but no, it's in the context
of the story because I'm not gonna spoil anything. But
there's something that they kind of like they set it
up right, but you always go, why are they saying that?
Why are they saying it like this? And then it
happens You're like, oh, they were serious, like you know,
so it just goes insane. So like that whole movie,
I'm laughing my ass off and I saw it like
(09:41):
on a date. So I'm just over here like ah,
and just so you know what, I'm on a date
watching a movie, Like I'm not necessarily like the biggest
talk or reactor because like I'm trying to be cool. Yeah,
but you know some movies I do legit like laugh
at in some movies. I will think it's funny, but
you know, nothing comes out of me. So you know
that's so I understand what you say about that.
Speaker 2 (10:00):
I was asking.
Speaker 1 (10:01):
I thought you were gonna say you didn't like step brothers,
and that's what we always gonna have to tell you
to get the fuck up. Interviews over, I was like, Okay,
what the fuck you said? He was cool?
Speaker 2 (10:12):
Yeah, I genuinely like watched it. It was like how did
what was happening? Like I was confused with what happened.
But the reactions because I like, I like your contents,
like the movie reviews in general and so like, but
everything that you do, so the uh, what is it?
The the reactions that you're talking about for Deadpool versus Wolverine,
theater cameo reaction like that pretty much was me like
(10:35):
like in the theater because I was there, like opening
night with the crowd, which something you know people watch
online to watch YouTube videos try and tell them. I'm like, yo,
when you see the reactions that there's like, oh my god,
that'd be terrible. It's like you have to understand. These
are all fans, so we know that we hype up
and then we're immediately because we know we don't want
to miss a dialogue. We're not going to ruin the movie.
It's just like a collective energy. I'm actually on.
Speaker 1 (10:58):
I mean sometimes out to see twice.
Speaker 2 (11:01):
Like the reaction is that's like you know, the big
ones I might open like get back to back tickets,
but I'm actually in one of the reactions. You can
hear me very audibly and probably one of the most
viral reaction YouTube videos for Endgame.
Speaker 1 (11:16):
I watched those all the time, like all the time.
Speaker 2 (11:19):
It was that ArcLight Hollywood, because the directors, the Russo
brothers came out, Kevin Fager came out like Allan Selvestrie
and someone else. But in the that was the screening
for Opening Night. They unfortunately did that mean cast. So
that was kind of saying but obviously all these other
greats and so that crowd was hype and you can
hear me yelling quite I got like all of those moments.
Speaker 1 (11:44):
See two things with that is I that that obviously
came out like just before you know, I got on
TikTok and started doing all these things. It came out
just before that was what twenty nineteen. Avengers in Game
was twenty nineteen. So I started TikTok just a couple
months after that, No, just a couple months after that,
bro I was still working in advertising. I was doing
a commercial for Google Pixel and the Avengers in Game,
(12:07):
and so the Russos loved the commercial ones said, would
you guys like to come to a small screening we're
having at this hotel that they usually have screenings at.
So that's where I saw Avengers in Game for the
first time. This is before the big premiere, so I
didn't get invited to the big premiere, but I got
to see it with the Russo's in like this very
small room. When I tell you, this is one of
those press screenings, and I didn't know that there was
a difference between premieres and press screenings. So I'm over
(12:29):
here thinking, you know, people gonna be hied to me. Nah,
Press screenings are super fucking quiet. They do not care
like what type of movie it is, Like if it's
the funniest comedy of the year, they will sit there
quietly and they'll write their fucking notes. I didn't know this.
I had no tact, right, I'm just dude that's excited
to be here. Biggest mall offence.
Speaker 2 (12:47):
So when.
Speaker 1 (12:50):
Black people, you know, I was, I was the biggest
black stereotype of that thing. I was talking to the
screen and shit, and like you could tell they were
probably gonna be like fucking like this guy for it, right,
But I'm hollering I'm hoo, I'm the only one doing it, bro.
But you know what, it worked because shout out to
(13:10):
the Russo's man Anthony and Joe. I was interviewing for
another movie that they did, and this was our first
time meeting since that day, and they remembered me because
they were like, Yo, you're the guy who like was
yelling so much. Bro. So I was like, yes, that
was me, Like for sure, that was like two years prior.
Speaker 2 (13:26):
So I was like, cool, let's just being you.
Speaker 1 (13:28):
Just be me, you know what I'm saying. And it
worked out. But the first premiere that I went to, well,
I'm gonna say the most recent one getting up. I
don't know, it's been a couple months, like we could
spoil it. I remember when fucking Blade came out, I
hopped out of my seat and I was like, I
didn't like, you know, it's like very like narrow those
(13:49):
like like seats whatever. So I'm over here like wanting
to run doing what black people do, like being the
stairs like you know how we do. Like I'm trying
to run the aisles, but I'm like I can't do that.
So I sat my ass back down. Bro. Again, that happened.
I used that little space to be like, oh my,
I was going dumb crazy bro. So yeah, man. So
there's certain movies that I will like, get up, hooton
(14:12):
holler for, especially when the crowd is into it too
and we're all going crazy, and sometimes and in the
middle of it, I'd be like, yo, i'ma have to
see this again because I don't know what they're saying.
I don't care what they're saying right now. I'm just
in the moment and I'm just like going nuts.
Speaker 2 (14:23):
Your best theater experience, but oh, like, were you just
the most un energy best theater experience?
Speaker 1 (14:31):
I'm like, oh, spider Man at home, spider Man knowing home?
Was that one?
Speaker 2 (14:37):
Man?
Speaker 1 (14:37):
Like? Like there was nothing. But first off, I was
sitting directly in front of Hannibal Burds, the real hann
did the Red carpet Yeah, fake one, yeah yeah, yeah, No,
it was a real one. It was a real one.
And unless I do was really into doing the doppelganger thing.
But like he was sitting right behind me. And for
those guys who don't know, Hannibal Bursts is a talker.
(14:58):
When he's like watching movies, like he talks through the
whole thing. So I got Hannibal Burr's commentary on Spider
Man No Way Home while like we were watching it.
And the funny thing is, obviously he hadn't seen the
movie yet, his first time seeing it, so he's reacting
to it like a fan to a movie he's in.
So one of my favorite moments is the lizard is
(15:19):
like in the truck. They just keep the lizard in
the truck and he's like, you know, like trying to
get out, and the whole time he's just like, yep,
that's why he's a lizard. You shouldn't put his ass
in there. Now he's gonna eat your ass up. Like
he's just what if he gets loose? Like what the fuck?
Like like I'm just getting all this Hannibal Burr's commentary,
and I'm just like, this is the best ever. And
so with like Toby Bogard comes out, Andrew Garfield comes out,
(15:43):
he goes, see, I fucking knew it. They try to
keep it from us, but they couldn't. I fucking knew it.
I was just like, so I was having the best
fucking time along with like the crowd reaction to see
if my boy Toby again for the first time since
say a Baby trilogy. Fucking Andrew for every scene in
that movie, well in the third act anyway, just fucking
(16:04):
magic and everyone in the theater just had no shame,
like popcorns going up in the air. Fucking people are
yelling and shit like you know. So and I got
to experience that twice because like there was other screenings
that I went to, and every screen that I went
to after that, people were just fucking going crazy.
Speaker 2 (16:19):
Man, I think deeper because of how old of a
build up it was. Yeah, even the Marvel like which
probably the theater experience in my life, endgame, but that was,
you know, a decade of building, whereas literally we're going
back to being children.
Speaker 1 (16:34):
Yeah, like yep, yeah, for twenty years in the making.
Wow old was I when the first one? That was
two thousand and two. That was two thousand and two.
I was ten when the Sam Raimi trilogy first hit
the scene. Yeah, and then twenty twelve was Andrew Garfield,
So shit, damn, I was damn twenty No, I wasn't
twenty twenty twelve. Now hold on, wait a minute, I try.
(16:57):
I don't want to know I'm thirty two ninety two. Yeah,
I was. I was twitty. Yeah I was twitty. I
was Fuck that gotdamn like, yeah, yeah that's insane, that's insane.
So yeah, so yeah I was, I was twenty So
that man, that's insane. So anyway, so yeah, so like
that build up and then not only that, uh, when
(17:17):
I came on the TikTok, everybody was just talking about
like the theories of like what's happening in No Way Home?
Remember that those times, like everybody was talking about it,
like you know, it was speculated that oh three, Spider
Man's Toby, it's Andrew on set, and so all these
theories was coming out, and you know, the trailers wasn't
giving us ship. They wasn't giving us goddamn nothing.
Speaker 2 (17:39):
That was really well it was.
Speaker 1 (17:40):
So well done, well done, and they knew it. They
you know what I'm saying. And so like, you know,
the only thing that they really confirmed was that, Okay,
doc OC's gonna be in the movie Goblin, you know,
Electro and all these guys, But there's still no guarantee that.
Speaker 2 (17:55):
Right, they have to, but what if they don't.
Speaker 1 (17:58):
And it was definitely a pushing pool, especially with like
you know, Toby just being like Toby doesn't want to
do press at all, so you're never gonna get done
out of Tobe. Andrew's just over here, like, guys, just
stop fucking asking me, like legitimately getting upset, like why
are you asking you this? Like I'm over, I'm a
little old for this toil when you just started to
believe just a little bit but not enough, but you're
(18:19):
just kind of like maybe. So when that popped off
in the theater, it was just kind of like, wow, Wow,
I can't believe this is like we're living in this
time right now. So, like there was a lot of
build up, not just from two thousand and two, but
just within that year when the first trailer came out
to when the movie came out. It was just absolutely bonkers. Bro.
But hold on, I'm gonna get back to this hot
take really quick because we you know, we did a
(18:40):
long long way around because I got rewatch it, watch it, okay,
rewatch it. The only thing I'm gonna say is the
story is just about a dude, you know, the dude,
the regular ass dude, regular schmeregular ass life, you know,
just guy. The time gets roped into this fucking ransom situation.
That's it. That's it. And then there's people that come
(19:00):
along the way like, oh, I'm his uh what was
it his ex wife? Yeah, yeah, that's my husband, Like
you know, like I'm a porn star. Da da da
fucking there's a only league for some reason, like Johnson
Toros fucking great. Like I quote Johns to Torre in
that movie All the Time where he saw, like, you
try to pull a lock on me, take it away
from you, stick it up your ass, and pull the
(19:21):
trigger until it goes clak. Jesus, that's right, my man,
because nobody messes with the Jesus.
Speaker 2 (19:30):
I think that's when I do feel like I will
benefit from knowing that, like knowing how to approach it,
because I feel like I was watching like I prepared.
I think there is an element of like realism to
that too, of the fact that like most of the
people encounter, we have no idea what the rest of their.
Speaker 1 (19:47):
Story is and they just come in and they come out.
Speaker 2 (19:50):
If you're just following me, then like you're gonna have
a bunch of incomplete stories. So I think if I
that approach, even as you were describing it, I was
like Okay, wait, Actually that probably.
Speaker 1 (19:59):
Is that the so many characters in the movie that
when they come in, you're just kind of like, who's
this guy? Then you want like the two Like the
movie opens with two fucking tough guys, basically a Vincent
and Jeweles type from pulp fiction. They come in, they
put his head in a toilet, they pee on his rug,
and he's like, oh, dude, this isn't what's his name.
(20:21):
He's like, yeah, he looks like a fucking loser, and
like zips up his past and then you never seen
him again for the rest of the movie. You never
see them again. And I'm just like, these fuckers just
came in and peat on his rug, Like these guys
are animals.
Speaker 2 (20:34):
Like that's why, like pulp fiction starts eight stories, but
then they finished they do finish there. It's like, you know,
that's why I expected. I think there's some.
Speaker 1 (20:42):
Things you gotta be prepared for. For sure. I get that. Now.
I'm gonna give you my hot take right now. And
you know sometimes I get because usually I go with
the princess bride. But I've actually have been holding on
to this hot take for a little bit. This is
maybe my first time saying this, like on camera, Friday
is great. Next Friday and Friday after Next trash as
fuck bad movies.
Speaker 2 (21:04):
Friday after Next, Next Friday, it feels funnier, maybe fun
funnier then Friday. No, no, no, no, okay no.
Speaker 1 (21:17):
So you're saying you're gonna sit the way, You're gonna
sit there with a straight face and say, Mike Epps,
shout out to my caps. You're you're you're pretty good.
It's not it's better than Chris Tucker.
Speaker 2 (21:28):
Okay, okay, not funnier, Okay, but I think I just
felt so defensive that I over corrected. That's the worst
of my list.
Speaker 1 (21:38):
I was like, I was so bad that I'm just
making sh out. It's just like, yeah, yeah, you just
you have to lugging back. Immediately, I was like, what
did I just say that? But wait, wait, so you
think do you think it's better or you're just like, okay, okay,
But but if.
Speaker 2 (21:55):
You feel like I feel like it is a decent sequel,
Next is kind of trash, I will agree with you.
Speaker 1 (22:03):
Okay, So I'm glad we're in agreees. On Friday next,
I feel like, okay, So here's the thing, It's like
I think Friday is damn near a perfect movie. Right,
It's what Clerks is, but it's for the hood. It's
like got the it's got the melanin code on it.
You know, it's Clerks but for the hood. Right, and
then you have it's so natural and organic. It's just
(22:23):
two guys on a porch observing their neighborhood. You know,
it's it's it just hits that ceiling of like not
going over the top, but it hits the ceiling perfectly
with all of its characters. Like the little guy who's
like married to Miss Parker walks in on Bernie Mac
Like that's just the right amount of like absurdity. That's
(22:45):
like it's believable. It's funny as fuck, Like you know,
he comes in and catches the miss Poker, miss Pawker,
like even even the pastor Like he's like cartoonish but.
Speaker 2 (22:54):
Not too cartoonish, right way to give like a little
bit of heart with John Witherspoon exactly.
Speaker 1 (23:00):
He's going from taking a giant ass shit eating some
grapes every time I come in the kitchen, you in
the kitchen right, talking about dog having dog shit on
his ass, like all.
Speaker 2 (23:11):
Thank you.
Speaker 1 (23:13):
Rest in piece of John Willis feel man to like
teaching Craig how to fight your whistle, your little song,
but to find another day. That's the same character and
it works within the context of the movie. Next Friday
is now, like, let's take Craig, right, the only guy
in the whole movie who's kind of like, uh, the
(23:36):
continuity is there. Everyone around him is gonna be even
more over the top, right, His uncle is, so, yeah,
what up, crag? They at your cuckamonga. I can't wait
to pay my taxes. You smoke weak because your lips
turning black. I'm like, listen, bro like, and that's just
(23:57):
one of them. That's just one of them. Baby d
is just Debo with the wig on. That's all they
set her up to be. And then with her sister,
who's the stereotypical like, she's just a repeat of a
fuck Why am I blanking on her name? She played
Trudy in the Proud Family, but Craig's girlfriend in the
first one. They just gave her to day day and
(24:17):
she's like, go get her, suck her up, but not
as interesting at all. You got the the Latinos across
the street. The baby joker bro, Like, I'm sorry, Yeah,
it's sickame on, man, Like, they are the most stereotypical
characters I have ever seen. And I'm gonna just say this,
(24:41):
those characters need to be ashamed of themselves. They need
to be as shit. Those they need to be ashamed.
They need to look back on that and like, bro,
you got your yo beanie all the way down here,
and you know you're just hey, is my ethic warrior?
Speaker 2 (24:55):
Like, I know you grew up.
Speaker 1 (24:58):
I grew up in the hood. I'm I've seen the essays.
I've seen them. I've seen him. Listen, listen, it's it
goes above what I'm talking about, like that if they
would have got it to the way where it's like
hitting that.
Speaker 2 (25:13):
They went down to regular Friday. Yes, everyone went up.
I see that. Everyone up a little bit.
Speaker 1 (25:18):
They they were like I think it was either three
or four of them, but they were given three Stooges energy,
just three Stooges energy, just put like the accent just
goes super like full on. Because listen, like, who's that
who's that one guy? Who's the one guy who like
hits it perfectly. I'm not gonna say he hits it
perfect because he is who he is, the one actor
(25:40):
that's like.
Speaker 2 (25:40):
He plays It's.
Speaker 1 (25:42):
Not he's not in it. He's not in it. But
he was in Bruce Almighty. He was the dude who
gets the monkey up his butt, Bruce Almighty. He's the
guy Hollywood called it every single time they needed a Vato.
Every time they needed a voto, they called this man.
And he never went over that. He's a fast and furious.
He never went super over the top with it right.
He was like he was hitting that right, and you
(26:04):
could do that in Next Friday. But instead they were
just like super low thing, Like, hey about the you
know what I'm saying, Like it just filmed there. It's
not Michaelpinion, but I see what you're getting. The little
like little baby Joker does look like he does look
like you know what I'm saying. Like, so like those
characters just irk the ever loving fuck out of me. Uh,
(26:25):
There's so much I could say about them, like either
even his dad even now Next Friday should have been
an animated movie. It felt like an animated movie, like
they're like legit. There are scenes like when, for instance,
the people who are terrorizing the square, the fucking like, uh,
the guys who beat up the last security guards. It's
like one who's like the little one right, Yes, it's
(26:47):
the way he's like, hey, if you see the new
security guards, make sure you tell my sid this. And
then there's like a little editing thing when he punches them,
and then it's like low key like like they speed
up the frame rate or some shit. Oh and then
when the crack egg knocked out, the crackhead gets knocked
out and he wakes back up. He does like this
weird like little like it was very like Looney Tunes.
(27:07):
It felt like, I mean, come on, money mine, I know.
Speaker 2 (27:13):
From Also, did you just watch these recently?
Speaker 1 (27:17):
Is that what I've been holding onto this for a minute,
like like I didn't want to when watched No no, no,
no no no. I see like I grew up with these.
Speaker 2 (27:26):
As you say, like, oh shoot, maybe yeah.
Speaker 1 (27:29):
But that's what I'm saying because I don't think that
today's upcoming generation watches anything past Next Friday or Friday next.
I could be wrong, but I don't hear them talking
about the Friday movies right like they talk about the
first Friday. Because it's that iconic and it's that quotable
and things like that. But I don't hear them quoting
Next Friday. I don't hear them quoting Friday after Next,
(27:50):
like at all. They know who Kat Williams is because
Cat Williams made his whole name off. He's been at
a bunch of yeah, you know, but I don't think
this generation of moviegovers are on Friday after Next like
that or Next Friday. And so me rewatching this, it
feels like it's such a pocket like thing with us
because we grew up in this, and so you love
(28:10):
the things that you grew up with. It's the rose
colored glasses. But since I really started to kind of
like pay attention to movies, you know how like you
watch those things that you loved and you've got to
look at it and go, that's actually not like as
good as I thought it was. That I started watching
Next Friday. The next I was like, these things are cartoons.
They're cartoons.
Speaker 2 (28:28):
I mean, my friend told me not to watch Space
Sham again because he said that whatever memory you have
it as a child, he's like, just keep those listen.
Speaker 1 (28:34):
Space Sham is still fucking oh okay, all right. First off,
First off, it's looney tunes like it's looney tunes like
and not to say that the next Space Jam is
good because of loutey toos like they that would suffer
from pushing the Louie tunes like to the side for
favor of Lebron James and like a basketball game that
doesn't even feel like basketball at that point. Yeah, but
(28:55):
let's let's keep it a stack like Space Sjam was
made because of a commercial with bugs Money Jordan. They
they made a commercial they said, this is funny, let's
make a movie out of it, right, and like it's
it's you know, it's a slam done no pun intended.
Speaker 2 (29:11):
You know, it's just it.
Speaker 1 (29:13):
Has a great soundtracks, a great soundtrack. The basketball game
is fire, you know what I'm saying, Like the Monstars
are actually funny.
Speaker 2 (29:21):
I have only good memories, afraid.
Speaker 1 (29:24):
And that's the thing. Man, It's like I watched it
and I was expecting it in my you know, wiser
more a dope like self to be like nitpicking it.
I can't really nitpick it, Like what are you gonna
nitpick the fact that Michael Jordan can act? Okay, he's
a basketball player. You know, I didn't knock Lebron James
for putting in a crappy performance even though he's way
(29:45):
better than Michael Jordan in acting. But I'm watching, I'm
just kind of like, this is pretty fucking great. It
made me want to drink more water space having some
fucking shit bro. So like, come on, like every time
I think of a fucking Bill Murray, Bill Murray, Like
(30:07):
that's a Bill Murray roll. And honestly, that is the
only song from R Kelly that I can stomach. That's
the only song.
Speaker 2 (30:15):
It's the only sang from R.
Speaker 1 (30:17):
Kelly because everything else you can erase R Kelly from,
like my memory, my life would not change that one bit, right, Wow,
don't do I believe I could fly? Do not take
that away from me. Hold on, I gotta say this, well,
shout out to shout out to star when she and
I were married. Uh, this is right around the time
where uh, you know R Kelly was like getting his
(30:38):
ship like with a surviving guard Kelly came about and uh,
I was showing my daughter's space shale for the first
time and the ending comes on, you know, the ending
is like he comes out of the spaceship and like,
immediately I believe look right. She tried to tell me
to turn it off. She tried to say, like, no,
we don't do r Kelly in here, like turn that off.
I was like, what are you talking about? Who Michael
(31:00):
Dory comes out of the space? Shit, what do you
mean this is the best part of the book. She's like, nah, bro,
we don't do that. You either gotta mute that or
turn it off. I said, you have to go in
the bedroom. I would acknowledge Arkeilly is a PiZZ of shit.
He would be. But you're not gonna take away this
(31:21):
part of the movie for me, where it's tied to
it unless they chang the song.
Speaker 2 (31:26):
This is where I believed in myself.
Speaker 1 (31:28):
This is what I believe. You know, it's ironic that
it's a song you sing in church and this spotfuck
is the devil, you know, But it's come on, Michael Geordan'
trying to play some baseball. Last thing I'm gonna say
about this because I can go on and on about
Spasian the scene where the NBA players are like trying
to like figure out what's wrong with her, and nobody
(31:48):
talks about that. I don't know why nobody talks about
this when Charles Barkley goes to play basketball with the girls,
like play pick up with her, and he's getting the
shot blocked. He's getting ripped like the cookies. And the
girl looks at he's try she wom a shot. She
he blocks the funk out of them and he goes.
She goes, you ain't, Charles Barkley, You just the want
to be that look like a sorry beat break out,
(32:11):
be gone. You want to be big one.
Speaker 2 (32:15):
I forgot the harsh.
Speaker 1 (32:17):
They were so me And then it goes to a strapist.
This girl five foot nothing block my shot. Bro. I
quote that for all of whenever I want people to leave,
I just go, you ain't whoever you say you are.
You just want to be that look like be gone,
like bro, shout out to that woman. I need to
(32:38):
know who she is, somebody tagger or something. She's got
to be watching this one day. I want to meet her.
Speaker 2 (32:43):
I'm sorry, continued to do.
Speaker 1 (32:45):
I hope she's had a fruitful career, Yes, I really do.
Like I really hope she got a big TV show
that I didn't watch. I'm gonna bitch that ship tonight
if I ever find her. I hope, I hope she
played the w b A Yeah. I mean I hope
she played at a w that's what that's what she wants. Man,
all right, do you got any Moore hot takes for me?
Speaker 2 (33:02):
Yeah? I'm trying to think. I was literally thinking that.
I was like hot takes? Oh man, well, I mean
just because we did talk about briefly first Beetle Juice.
Speaker 1 (33:12):
Kind of Oh yeah.
Speaker 2 (33:13):
I watched it for my first time not too long ago,
right after right before this the new one came out,
and I felt very I felt like I was watching
a movie that was based off of like my mom
describing a movie to me.
Speaker 1 (33:32):
It was like very like.
Speaker 2 (33:33):
I was like like when I if if someone I've
heard people describe a movie and you're like, oh, that's
they're described me as badly. It's like, no, they're described
me a scene.
Speaker 1 (33:42):
For sake like that.
Speaker 2 (33:46):
That's just how it goes, right, right, And uh so
I think that. Uh And I'm such a Michael Keaton
fan too, so I was like, I was like, this
is you think it's about good? Yeah? Yeah, just it didn't.
And then the ending and then you know, I was like, wait,
she's just like school and then she's flying at the party.
(34:06):
We're parents, the ghosts her parents.
Speaker 1 (34:09):
Now watch this. It's not I.
Speaker 2 (34:13):
Didn't follow it. It just was more like I was
just like, what's.
Speaker 1 (34:17):
That's all I said. This sounds like the wrong movie, Like.
Speaker 2 (34:21):
That's what what happened? She they they they they can
go in and out of the sand Dune universe. They
grabbed the sand Dune Monster eats me the juice. I
guess it killed him obviously, not because he's so like
he's you.
Speaker 1 (34:34):
Know, even though like you know, the fact that he
survived is weird because they're fearing them. They're like, oh
that don't that's the Saale words. But he's back. It's like,
I guess they're not that horrible.
Speaker 2 (34:42):
Horrible and then he's all and then also he's not
like that horrible, like well, I mean he's perverted terrible
in those ways, but just as far as like a threat,
like he was just like this didn't seem to be
that big of a deal. And he came and he
said he saved the couple, and I just was like, okay, so.
Speaker 1 (35:00):
Wait, wait, wait you think he saved the couple.
Speaker 2 (35:02):
The ghost couple. He does save them because they're being
they're being like drained out of there, he doesn't save them, Yeah,
because that's why she agrees to Mariam. Little Lenona Ryder
is like, oh.
Speaker 1 (35:13):
Yeah, it's blackmail.
Speaker 2 (35:15):
Yes, but I'm saying, yeah, not all his own free will,
but I'm saying for the deal. So then that's what
I'm saying. Like, if you're watching this, I'm describing the
same shot shot right now kind of comes She's like, oh,
He's like, well, yeah, if you marry me, you know,
yeah yeah, And then they try to say and I'll
save these guys, these other ghosts from dying even though
they're dead.
Speaker 1 (35:35):
But yeah, yeah, yeah, just.
Speaker 2 (35:38):
For me, it was it was. Uh, We've also never
been like a super Tim Burton person in general.
Speaker 1 (35:44):
But he's yeah, I remember you specifically said what was
the word? She said, what? Who's the audience for this? Like,
who's the audience? All? Like, Bro, they filled up a
whole hot they made a hot topic store.
Speaker 2 (35:56):
There's a whole brand.
Speaker 1 (35:57):
There's a whole brand for these people, and that's what
it is. And that and I wait, have you ever
been a hot topic? Do you like hot topic? You know?
Speaker 2 (36:04):
I I I grew up in a small town where
there wasn't much juicizes hangout and so I spent some
time on topic.
Speaker 1 (36:11):
Did you like it though, or were you just kind
of like what's the audience?
Speaker 2 (36:15):
I mean I never bought any of the clothes, but
I like the I like, I would like to wonder.
Speaker 1 (36:19):
You know, okay, because there's lots of there's lots of
pop culture stuff.
Speaker 2 (36:23):
So I love all the pop culture stuff. It was cool,
but yeah, it's just you'll see the Beatle juice, like, yeah,
Tim Burton, just you know, outside I guess Batman and
and uh, like I want to think of like.
Speaker 1 (36:35):
A Tim Burt movie that you would actually like, like, uh,
Sweeney Todd is a fucking Todd? Is great Edwood? Have
you ever seen ed Wood? Edward? No, were Scissor Hands.
Speaker 2 (36:49):
It's so that one I only saw as a kid, remember,
not liking it, but I have a feeling. I was like,
it's probably good. That one seems like it would be
a good story.
Speaker 1 (36:57):
So Pee Wee's Big Adventure.
Speaker 2 (37:00):
That's Tim Burt.
Speaker 1 (37:01):
That's Tim Burton.
Speaker 2 (37:02):
That was another one that like is to like I
think I watched it whenever it came out.
Speaker 1 (37:08):
He didn't wait that was like eighty eight, right.
Speaker 2 (37:12):
Like never mind, I was, yeah, I watched it. I
watched it as a child at my grandma's house when
I was a little kid, because I remember the wildness.
I never liked like pee Wee. I was not a
pee like. I was a mister Rogers fan more like
a Peev.
Speaker 1 (37:23):
Okay, see, I didn't watch mister Rodgers. So I feel
like that's the line that's like raw, bro, I think
that's an underrated like like lit, are you a pee
Wee guy or a mister Rogers guy? That like that?
That's I think that's I think we just discovered, like
vote down below. Are you a pee Wee Herban guy
or a mister Rogers guy? What did you watch? Did
(37:44):
you watch both? We'll find out that's so weird.
Speaker 2 (37:48):
Yeah, that's probably way Yeah, that is probably.
Speaker 1 (37:50):
I wonder if there's a I wonder if there's like
a correlation if you didn't watch mister Rogers, dude, you
watch pee Wee, because I like I watched the movies
more then like the Pee Wee Show, the PEV show,
Like I like pee more than there's two, there's three.
There's pee Wee's Big Adventure, Big Top pee Wee where
he goes to like a circus and there's this really
(38:12):
hot woman they trying to get with too. And then
the third one it came out like like twenty twelve
or some shit called pee Wee pee Wee's Big Holiday. Yeah,
PE's Big Adventure is a fucking classic. And like it
took me a minute to figure out that Tim Burton
actually did that. I was like, oh, shit, like that
makes sense. Interesting, tim Burton actually did like a lot
of shit. I'm gonna have to look this up right
now that I was like surprised at because he also
(38:33):
he also did Plant the Apes with Mark Wahlberg.
Speaker 2 (38:36):
I remember that one.
Speaker 1 (38:37):
He also did Planet of the Apes, and I was like.
Speaker 2 (38:39):
Which, like, is another movie where I'm like, I think
I just enjoyed watching you know, anything sort of action
as a kid.
Speaker 3 (38:46):
Yeah.
Speaker 2 (38:46):
Yeah, so that's when where I'm like, if I watch
it might not be good. Yeah, it probably is not good,
Like I have memories of enjoying it that probably wouldn't
happen to No.
Speaker 1 (38:55):
Yeah, I remember watching it as a kid in theaters,
and you know, it's just one of those things where
Mike grandmother chose the movies for us to go see sometimes, like, right,
the only movies I chose to go see in theaters
were like superhero movies and Disney movies and stuff. But
one day she just plopped us in the theater and
it was a movie about monkeys and Mark Warburg, and
you know, never thought, oh, this is a Tim Burton movie,
but it was. As a child, I was like, this
(39:17):
is weird, this is really this is really fucking weird,
like Helen and bought her carner Helen and Helena Bottom Carner.
I still think I feel like I feel like I
said that wrong. She plays the monkey that kisses Mike Wahlberg,
which for me already it's like weird, but she also
looks like Michael Jackson, like like you don't remember, he
looks like Michael Jackson as a monkey, as a monkey,
(39:39):
so it was like he was kissing Michael Jackson and
was dating Timber and it was Dave tim Burton at
the time, which is a whole other conversation for another day,
because one of my favorite clips of any celebrity ever
is Johnny Depp saying, every time me and Helena do
a movie, Tim Burton makes me kill her. And this
is like after they divorced, too, but they're still like
(40:00):
kind of friends. So sleepy. How I was about to say,
I got it right here, Sleepy hollow makes sense, Sleepy
hollow is Look, that was like probably one of the
first movies I watched that truly terrified me, which is
a topic we'll get into because it's spooky goofy season.
But I saw a child get decapitated in that movie,
and that shit fucked me up when somebody told me, oh,
(40:21):
the same guy who did not remember for Christmas? What say,
dude and Batman did that to me? What he hurt?
Speaker 2 (40:36):
What?
Speaker 1 (40:38):
What was he going through? And I still remember that.
It's like one of the core memories that I have
of watching one. There's trauma, like like I remember very vividly.
If I remember nothing else from that movie, I'll remember
a mother finding out the horseman was coming, putting her
son in the floorboards. The kid looking through the floorboards
because he can see shit. You hear us, You hear
(41:00):
a thud, and then you see a head roll into
like the slit of the floorboard, and the mother's eyes
is looking at this child through the floorboard because their
head is up. So that already fucked me up, right,
It was already like level one of like you'll never
forget this as long as you live. But level two
was the kid starts crawling because obviously he's afraid his
mama's head just got relieved from her body. And then
(41:24):
the horseman punches the ground, pulls the kid out of
the freaking of the floor, and then you see Johnny Depp.
Next thing, Johnny Depp is like, he walks in front
of this house. You see the headless horseman casually stuffing
a child's head in this sack, and I'm just like,
he killed the mama and the child, and the mama
tried to protect the child and it didn't mean nothing,
(41:44):
it didn't do nothing.
Speaker 2 (41:46):
No, we're safe, No, we're safe.
Speaker 1 (41:48):
So yeah, so anyway, Yeah, so Tim Burton's Sleepy Hollow
another great movie, Jesus Christ. But I'm also gonna say
I was shocked and I was absolutely like, oh my god,
he did this Mars Attacks. Can tell me that Mart's Attacks?
Is it a fucking great ass movie?
Speaker 2 (42:02):
Bro, that's a cold class.
Speaker 1 (42:04):
That's a cold fucking classic. Bro. It's cool, it's tragic,
but yeah, that's what I got.
Speaker 2 (42:11):
So that was a cold classic where I saw it
and I was like, I understand why this is a
cult classic. For some reason, Beatle Juice didn't do that
for me. The second one. I did enjoy it the
second one.
Speaker 1 (42:21):
But you do got some till Burden, and you do
got some till Burtons.
Speaker 2 (42:24):
You know, it's it's yeah, it's it's there. And I thought,
you know, I thought me and the aesthetic I didn't agree.
Speaker 1 (42:31):
Okay, yeah, wait wait wait wait, but listen, listen. Oh
what is that? Oh?
Speaker 2 (42:40):
Nine?
Speaker 1 (42:40):
I didn't like nine nine, and he made it.
Speaker 2 (42:43):
He made an animated movie called I didn't watch that one.
Speaker 1 (42:46):
Yeah, I remember, I remember getting excited about it.
Speaker 2 (42:49):
I remember seeing the trailer excited about it, and then
I just didn't see it.
Speaker 1 (42:52):
I gave it a good old college trie, just and
I'm sorry. Like I remember the trailer very vividly. The
theme song was Coheat and Cambria's Welcome Home. That trailer
was fucking rad, and I remember going, I'm gonna see
this ship, and then I was watching it, I was
just kind of like, this shit is kind of ass, Like,
you know, it's like he let me down here. Now, granted,
I only watched it that one time and I never revisited,
(43:14):
so I'm gonna probably have to revisit and like give
it another chance.
Speaker 2 (43:17):
But random trailer I remember getting excited about and then
not becoming a favorite movie like a fat would as
a kid, Treasure playing it the trailer to that movie.
Speaker 1 (43:28):
I don't remember the trailer, but no, I like Treasure
playing it. Yeah, it's my second favorite movie. Under Hercules Disney.
Speaker 2 (43:34):
Oh Disney second Favah.
Speaker 1 (43:37):
Yeah right, under Hercules is my second favorite. I'm gonna
get a tattoo of it pretty soon.
Speaker 2 (43:41):
Okay, all right, okay, when that I feel like that
one maybe also I'm just.
Speaker 1 (43:45):
Like, no, but what was the trailer though?
Speaker 2 (43:46):
Like the trailer is just him like skydiving with his
like sale thing, and it's like a cool It's just
a really cool scene where I was like, this is
that's what I want to do. I want to fly,
like yeah, yeah, askids struggling heights. But I just remember that.
Just when you talked about seeing The Chair of Nine,
I was like, I was like a side from the
movie that I saw. I was like, that's that's when
(44:07):
they came to mind where I was like, oh man,
and and it just and it it didn't end up
being one of my fan I just I'm a big
I'm a big movie fan in general. Behind Disney, Disney,
I have I have so many. I feel like in
the Under the Radar one, I've put Treasure Plan.
Speaker 1 (44:20):
Oh yeah, yeah. It was like during that period of
like the two thousands, they were like just coming out
of that renaissance they had, and they were just kind
of getting experimentals. That's like Treasure Planet, Atlantis.
Speaker 2 (44:31):
Atlantis, Atlantis would probably Atlantis is fucking fire Atlantis.
Speaker 1 (44:36):
I still put Treasure Planet over it, but like they're
like they both came in that era where I feel
like the only movie that has truly reached pop culture,
iconography legendary status in Disney's candidate is Leland Stitch. You know,
Like I feel like Stitch you could put on the
same level as you know, like Lion King and Aladdin and.
Speaker 2 (44:55):
All the the posts like two thousands.
Speaker 1 (44:57):
Yeah, from the from the post two thousands, you know
what I'm saying, Like wow, because Mulan, Mulan was like
ninety seven people people try to say that the Disney
Renaissance ended with Hercules or Hercules was the end of that,
but I think Mulan might have came out like right
after it Mulan. I want to say Mulan and a
Tarzan like around the same time, but I can't remember.
But Tarzan was fire too. Tarzan was fire too. But
(45:21):
it was like two thousands, I mean, because I think
I could run over some of these and some of
these you're gonna be with the fuck but obviously Treasure Planet, yeah, Atlantis,
Chicken Little, yep, right, Chicken Little was funny?
Speaker 2 (45:31):
Was that the first time they did that?
Speaker 1 (45:33):
Like the three stuff? I don't know if it was
the first time because I don't. Meet the Robinsons was
like another one. Meet the Robinsons is a banger, though
meath Robinsons is a banger, an underrated one because nobody
talks about it. But Chicken Little. Then there was Home
on the Range. Do you remember I remember the Range
but you don't. Yeah, yeah, you remember that.
Speaker 2 (45:54):
I couldn't. I don't remember.
Speaker 1 (45:55):
Yeah. Yeah. It was like it was like a like
a Disney's attempt a Chicken Run, you know what I'm saying.
Like it was like it's not stop motion, Chicken Run
is intense. It's great. They did a sequel like last year,
which isn't good. Okay, but what else? Oh, there's this
one movie, guarantee you never heard of it called Valiant.
Speaker 2 (46:17):
Valiant yeah birds.
Speaker 1 (46:19):
Yeah, okay, okay, okay, you are ship. Okay, remember shout
out if you know Valiant, like because nobody knows value. Okay,
what about this.
Speaker 2 (46:29):
During the war?
Speaker 1 (46:30):
Yep, yeah, yep, yep, some messenger pigeons. Yeah, okay, what
about this one? I think it's into the Wild, the Wild,
the Wild, the Wild?
Speaker 2 (46:42):
What's who's in it?
Speaker 1 (46:44):
I don't know who's in it? What's but let's just
say they bid off a very popular, very popular DreamWorks
I made a movie like they're not even like being
shy about it. Wait, what think about it? The Wild?
Very popular DreamWorks movie.
Speaker 2 (47:03):
I know, but for some reason I'm thinking dreams. I
think track or something.
Speaker 1 (47:05):
Oh yeah, well, so like they think of like okay,
this one has got three movies really popular voice cast.
Well that's mostly dreams movie.
Speaker 2 (47:15):
H about to say, like dragons?
Speaker 1 (47:17):
Okay, they have a dream Works movie that's set in
like the wild. You got it? You got it? Oh,
my god of jungle, think of jungle dream Works in
the jungle.
Speaker 2 (47:27):
I'm drawing a blank right now.
Speaker 1 (47:30):
You want me to give you like a little little.
Speaker 2 (47:32):
Hare, give me I like to move it, move it, Okay,
I like to move And then so Mada Gascar. But
they Who's Wild?
Speaker 1 (47:40):
Because I feel like The Wild was about like a
bunch of animals that, like, I don't know, like if
they got like displaced in New York or they were
like trying to leave New York from a zoo. But
it's damn near the same exact plot as Madagascar.
Speaker 2 (47:54):
I standing up to me, Yeah, I gonna pull I'm
gonna pull this up.
Speaker 1 (47:58):
Yeah, I'm gonna pull this up. He was from New
York and he got sent to They're from New York
and got sent to Africa? Is that is that the Wild? See?
Speaker 2 (48:07):
Wait? See?
Speaker 1 (48:08):
Oh my god, this looks horrible. It looks so bad.
Here you go.
Speaker 2 (48:14):
Oh my gosh. Yep, now did I see it? Remember
I saw it? But I definitely remember this poster.
Speaker 1 (48:22):
Disney tried that came out during that like weird two
thousands period. Gosh, yeah, I was so yeah, so yeah,
so like and you know, then Disney started coming back.
I say it came back with the Stitch is truly
like an iconic character. Like I was rewatching the Little
(48:42):
Stitch the other day. God damn that movie is so good,
so good, Like the scene where he is reading the
Ugly Duckling Book and he takes it outside and he
realizes he doesn't have a the realization that Stitch doesn't
have a family, and he's like waiting outside, going lost.
I've lost. He stays out all night and what's his name,
(49:03):
Jamba comes out. He's like, oh, yes, I'm going to
capture you, and he's just sitting there. I'm great for
what family. I'm like, oh no, and these also, you
don't have family. You were created. I'm like the existentialism
and this fucking shit, isn't it?
Speaker 2 (49:20):
So?
Speaker 1 (49:20):
Lelo Stitch were hitting levels that like no other Disney
movie was hitting at that time except for Churchure Planet.
I will argue that like Treasure Planets, you got the
macons of greatness in you, like I might, honestly, shit,
we just decided this right now, that's gonna be all
my tattoo, like the whole you got the macans of greatness.
Like that scene, that speech, the voice acting, the visuals,
(49:41):
everything about that scene in that movie is just it
kills me. Disneyland. I go to Disneyland pretty often. Yeah,
and Disney uh did the wondrous Do you see the
wondrous uh uh?
Speaker 2 (49:53):
Fireworks spectact?
Speaker 1 (49:55):
So you get how they added like all every single
like Disney animated movie. So I was only praying for
one two things. I was only praying for Hercules. It's
something for treasure plat and what and what? I heard
that you got the Mexicans some greatest there's a video
be going Yeah. I was like, that's how much I'm
on that treasure plan.
Speaker 2 (50:14):
I'm curious if they're gonna like I saw something that
was just talking about the drone shows and the possibility
of like replacing more fireworks shows with drone shows at
Disney specifically, and I'm like, to be safe, it's not
just it's safer, And I was like, you can do
a lot more things. Yeah, Like I'm not I'm not
mad that I bet. I was like, they may have
to add in some firework noises or something.
Speaker 1 (50:35):
I feel like I would feel like, yeah, the power
of it, I think I think like strategically like like
lessening the fireworks because that thing is going off like
the whole time. Fireworks are just happening the whole time,
and it's like a full like what twenty minute show
something like that. So Giant Disney fireworks for twenty something
minutes like that.
Speaker 2 (50:50):
I have no idea what the budget is.
Speaker 1 (50:52):
Oh man, dude, I bet you they're burning like a
million dollars a night. Billions gotta be fireworks.
Speaker 2 (50:58):
I did love their I don't know how. I guess
it's a couple of years now or maybe less the
water show than they had at California Adventure Watercolor. Yeah,
with like the Avengers in there, And I was like, yep, yep.
Speaker 1 (51:10):
So I don't know if you know this about me.
I worked at it even for like five years.
Speaker 2 (51:13):
Oh no, I worked there where.
Speaker 1 (51:15):
At the fucking pier. I worked at the pier the
games of the boardwalk.
Speaker 2 (51:20):
Wow.
Speaker 1 (51:20):
I used to work the games and every now and
then they were like have but they would need help,
like doing like the crowd control. Yeah, so it would
send me over there, and I would like, so I
would hear that every single night, wait for like live
you were there twenty twelve to twenty seventeen. Wow, So
I was there for a good minute and like we
you know, we'll close out the registers, but we'll hear everything.
So everyone in the registers just singing along to all
(51:41):
the songs and everything, and my favorite thing to listen
to was they still have the Lion King segment, right,
it was the Lion King segment where like you hear
like symbol like running in the stampede, but then you
hear long Live the King mufassa screams and then there
it goes silent for maybe five seconds, and then you
just hear a simple go it's a hear collectively the
(52:05):
crowd go oh fuck, like it was the funniest thing.
And like, I used to be a trainer as well,
so I used to train the newbies. So I would
like to hear their reactions to the other people reactions.
They'll be like, oh so sorry, but yeah, man, that
was the fucking world. Color Show was always like it was,
except for the Winter Dreams one. When I was working there,
(52:26):
I was I was working there during the height of Frozen.
Oh yeah, yeah, it was awful. Like again, I love Frozen.
I love Frozen when it came out, like I was
on that train of like your Frozen is great. I
was happy when they started putting Frozen things in there,
but they overdid it, Like Disney said Mickey Mouse, who
(52:51):
this is Elsa's country now? So it was. It was
it felt like a hostile takeover. I'm not gonna lie
bro because it was.
Speaker 2 (52:59):
I mean it Frozen was actually a movie that I
stumbled into opening week weekend because iceed be like Ice
movie hop lots movies before you had assigned seats kids,
if you if you don't know, you used to buy
a ticket so you could sneak into other movies after
your movie. So like I would go, you know, buy
(53:19):
my large popcorns, so I refilled and I could chill
there for the day watch two or three. And so
I remember I watched something and I'm like, okay, yeah,
Like I was with my girlfriend at the time that
we're I think we were in like Ontario, the High
Desert or something like that. We're like, well, our next
movie doesn't start for an hour. Let's just pop in
this theater, just check out this other Disney movie. Sorry,
(53:40):
we'll just chill here for a minute. And we say
for the whole thing, and we were like.
Speaker 1 (53:44):
Just locked in.
Speaker 2 (53:45):
Its good, that's good. Song that song was did you
go in the middle of the movie went in the beginning,
It was just starting that first song. We were like,
but uh, like go, We're like that one song in
the middle that was.
Speaker 1 (54:02):
Trust Me. The world thought that too. I was like,
what if it's gonna be a good a good one.
The people are gonna gravitate to this song?
Speaker 2 (54:12):
Little did you know? Catching fire? Is that a pun?
Speaker 1 (54:17):
What's the opposite of Like we're talking about an ice
song of what ice? But I say, is it catching fire?
It's the opposite of a pun. But I don't know.
Speaker 2 (54:24):
It's not big enough.
Speaker 1 (54:26):
But the song was huge.
Speaker 2 (54:28):
It did it did it?
Speaker 1 (54:29):
But that was the thing, man, that was the thing,
like working there. It was you know, the song was
playing everywhere, like kids were running around singing it. Hundreds
of Elsa's like running around like a week. And then
they would like change everything to be like frozen. So
the big one was the Word of Color show. They
called it Winter Dreams and it was hosted by Olaf.
(54:50):
Now my one gripe with the Frozen movies. I find
all out to be extremely annoying.
Speaker 2 (54:54):
I finally be very annoying.
Speaker 1 (54:56):
Uh so they have them host the whole show. I
was living. I said, no, we can't have it built.
It was the beef was built with me at Olaf right,
because one he could have saved Elsa Anna. He could
have saved Donna, like what he said when he when
he knew the rules, an act of true love will
thaw frozen heart. And then as she's dying and he's melting,
(55:20):
she goes, oh, off, you're melting. Some things are worth
melting for.
Speaker 2 (55:24):
But you don't melt.
Speaker 1 (55:25):
You don't fucking melt. And then he's I guess not
right this second, you're a piece of ship. Hold off.
I'm sorry. Like he's not smart. Yeah, but that's again,
I don't like a lot of like smart characters. I
had popcorned my things and you were just talking to me,
just like he's gonna figure it out, he's gonna watch
(55:47):
this bat.
Speaker 2 (55:51):
It's good.
Speaker 1 (55:51):
It's still see Oh I can't see it. That's why
you're not looking at my lip looking at it. I
didn't have to, Like you gotta hit it with the camera.
Oh okay, next time there's popcorn. Like second, we're like,
we'll get it going. But uh but what was I saying? Yeah, man,
like yeah, And the thing is like I just I
(56:13):
just he's again he's not smart, and I get it,
Like he's just so annoying and so and the fact
that he was hosting it, and they played let It
Go twice during the show.
Speaker 2 (56:23):
That's how big the Sean song was.
Speaker 1 (56:24):
They played let It Go twice, So not only in
my hearing it on the radio, not only my hearing
like the kids singing, not only my hearing just randomly
when I come into the park. And then at the
end of the night, I gotta hear this bitch twice
with all I'm going, Wow, he's singing that one song,
like I now know the fucking like Jewish holiday song,
the Hanakah song, dred Oh Trado Trado, I made it
(56:47):
out of Clay oh Off sings that ship. They have
him sing all these fucking songs and I'm just like,
come on, man, like please. And then the last thing,
they changed Hollywood Land to be like Land of Frozen before,
like they actually made the Land of Frozen in Hong Kong,
and they made Oaken's training post and they put us
in like the sweaters that Oaken wears, and you have
(57:08):
to greet people by going some of it even though
it's not summer, but you gotta say it like some
of hats, how may I help you? I got really
good at the I.
Speaker 2 (57:22):
Was like I was like because even when you said
the name, I was like, which guy in Land?
Speaker 1 (57:24):
I was like, oh yeah, right right, And and so
you gotta like, like at Disney, you have to like
walk up to everybody and make sure they need help.
You never want people to come up to you. You
gotta go up to them. So I always walk on
some of it. Hats, How may I help you? What
do you needs?
Speaker 2 (57:40):
Throw in this?
Speaker 1 (57:41):
Uh? This whatever? The fish hats so we have oh god, anyway,
but yeah, Frozen.
Speaker 2 (57:46):
Frozen was a was a time.
Speaker 1 (57:48):
Man, it was a time. And then I think, I know,
I love how we jumped from Friday to Disney. This
conversation is like, this is this is what I love
talking about movies. Yeah, this is this is it. But
I feel like Disney came back quote unquote like came
back with Presses and the Frog. A lot of people
will say it's tangled, but President the Frog may not
(58:09):
have made a lot of money, but I think the
quality of the movie is like still fucking.
Speaker 2 (58:14):
Fantastic with Princess and the Frog.
Speaker 1 (58:17):
Do we have the same grapes where they be a
frog for like ninety percent of the movie.
Speaker 2 (58:22):
No, But that's okay. It's not like I'm excited. You know,
we got this black princess. And how come her story
ends with she has to get a job like every
other and she gets the broke prints. I'm like, excuse me,
she gets the cutoff broke print. She's the breadwinner. She
(58:43):
gets a job, which again it's her passion. I'm happy
for he wants to do exactly that's what she wants
to do, but she also has to do it because
her prince is the broke prince.
Speaker 1 (58:54):
And I'm like, what what he learns how to work?
He learns how to work, he does builded up. They're
building their older part. That's all I saw.
Speaker 2 (59:02):
Everyone else gets the kingdom and the king and the
prince or whatever, and they're like, Noianna, it's.
Speaker 1 (59:08):
It's true to life. Okay, Like it's true to life,
Like everybody else gets everything handed to him. Cinderella is like, well, technically,
Cinderella was always like supposed to be like rich, like
her Stepfama was like a gold digger, but snow white. Wait,
they're all princesses. No fuck that they were born and
then they become they marry.
Speaker 2 (59:27):
Oh they're born princesses and get more money.
Speaker 1 (59:30):
Wow.
Speaker 2 (59:31):
And then she's like, we're doing nothing.
Speaker 1 (59:34):
Usually Cinderella still worked though, well it didn't. Wait wait
does Cinderella work in her castle?
Speaker 3 (59:39):
She?
Speaker 1 (59:39):
I bet you she does as a kid.
Speaker 2 (59:41):
Yeah, well as a kid with her step mom she's doing.
Speaker 1 (59:43):
Yeah, but is she working like with the prince now?
I want to know. I didn't watch the sequels, so
that's a good.
Speaker 2 (59:49):
Maybe general princess duties or something.
Speaker 1 (59:51):
I don't know, but I'm talking like she was in
the churches, like she was all the be scrubbing, and
she was top to bottom of the whole house like
she was. She was getting to the gribe and everything.
So I'm wondering if she still has that motor now,
but she's walking around like I want to know this
if I did this, If Cinderella is walking around that
(01:00:11):
castle and not helping clean her own castle, I hate
Cinderella now even more.
Speaker 2 (01:00:17):
Like I really do, because like, now you done switched
up right.
Speaker 1 (01:00:21):
I want to see that. I want to see one
of the maids like being like, hey, I'm gonna know,
actually I like to clean my own things, thank you,
Like that's what I want to see. But if she's
not doing that, fuck Cinderella, I bet.
Speaker 2 (01:00:31):
You did make Brandy do it.
Speaker 1 (01:00:33):
Brandy would do it. I could see Brandy doing it well.
I watched recently, watched all of the Descendance movies, and
she's in the news, and she was giving me, she
was giving me the vibe that she still does it.
She was giving me the vibe of it because like
when she was a kid, she would just kind of heart.
She had this whole song about like getting your hands
dirty and like doing the work. So if you grew
up and you forgot to do that, okay, but you
(01:00:56):
know what, that's a good Brandy Black Princess Black Cinda.
She's still cleaning. I want to know. I want to know,
but yeah, but yeah, you're right though, Tiana. I was like,
you said, she got the broke frits, she got the
broke boy.
Speaker 2 (01:01:10):
And I was like.
Speaker 1 (01:01:13):
Something, You're right, yeah what But like I I like,
you know, I like that a prince had to learn
to It's like coming to America. It was coming to
America where he learned to like well, I'm trying to
think of like how he wasn't coming to America too,
because I don't think he learned to like clean or
anything after that, because before he was like I'm happy to.
Speaker 2 (01:01:33):
Just kind of experience life.
Speaker 1 (01:01:35):
He experienced life, but then he left life behind and
then he was kind of boogie with it after the
fact because like so now I'm like, so okay, so Navine,
rich ass dude, spoiled ass, rich ass dude. Yes, Mary's
working class woman and she gives him a job. He's
(01:01:56):
no longer rich, but like you got to respect the
resolve of like, you know what I'm you know, roll
up the sleeves and we're gonna go get down together businesses.
He helped her build that.
Speaker 2 (01:02:04):
Ship, not like she's like no, nothing about him leads
me to believe that he is a strong driver of
the success of her business.
Speaker 1 (01:02:12):
He's not the driver, but you could tell, like he's
probably he's definitely like a number two. He's the number two.
What do you need?
Speaker 2 (01:02:19):
He's number two till they find somebody qualify.
Speaker 1 (01:02:21):
Yeah, but no best best see bestie. That's like at
the end where like she gets the restaurant and remember
they have to build that restaurant. He helps her do that.
But the best representation of their relationship is that he
rolls up his sleeves. Right, It's all about the look
because he's just like, I'm gonna look like I'm doing
some ship. But she's the one with the hammer. She's
the one who pulls out the hair and goes hey
about the hair. She's gonna hammer it and he's gonna
(01:02:42):
be like, you know what. That doesn't make me like
not like the.
Speaker 2 (01:02:47):
Movie, why why?
Speaker 1 (01:02:50):
Why that?
Speaker 2 (01:02:52):
But I'm glad because I'm lazy, you know.
Speaker 1 (01:02:54):
But black women, bro, black women, they gonna get it done.
And I kind of like that she's staying true to that.
Speaker 2 (01:03:00):
There we go.
Speaker 1 (01:03:01):
I kind of like that she stayed true to that.
The fact that she had that hammer. It was like,
not only am I building this ship with my bare hands,
not only by cooking the ship in the back, not
only am I gotta sing with my man for the table.
At the same time, I'm like, Tiana, I'm just off.
Speaker 2 (01:03:15):
Choice, making it a full choice that they affected that
his family like, you know what, now you're back in
you're rich again, and he's like, you know what, we're
gonna take care of herself.
Speaker 1 (01:03:25):
At least.
Speaker 2 (01:03:26):
Then it's like a choice because I'm like, she's true
and because I feel like that is unfortunately the you know,
the the ripe, Like I feel like very understanding of
the black women are like, I'm tired of being so
strong and having them. Yeah they can, Yeah they do,
and it's amazing. But it's like the fact that she
also has to that made it too real.
Speaker 1 (01:03:46):
Yeah that's and honestly, you know, and honestly they might have, yes,
cut off the vine, but his parents could have helped
her out. Like his parents. She wasn't cut off. She
wasn't cut off. They could have helped.
Speaker 2 (01:03:59):
You know what. Let's assume that they did that. They
did it just was off cameras.
Speaker 1 (01:04:03):
They did not. They did not because she had all
those pennies still and she moved it to those fucking realtors.
She shouldn't have had to put the piddies out, bro,
She shouldn't have had to put the pennies out. And
now the thought, because I like to think of like
what happens when the movie says cut, the thought of
her in laws watching her go through all this ship
(01:04:24):
and not lifting a finger even though you got a
whole goddamn kingdom. This is your new daughter in law.
You just like she she got her boy working like nah, nah,
y'all full of it. I successfully rehabilitated your boy. Yeah.
Speaker 2 (01:04:39):
I took him and brought him up.
Speaker 1 (01:04:43):
Like come on, man, that's that's awful. See. Look, you
gotta be rethinking about President of Frog now. I was
like thinking about that movie in like like a different way. Yeah,
but at that ending, it's like, yeah, black people, they're
gonna work and what they do no matter what, even
with the happy ending, she.
Speaker 2 (01:04:59):
Just a frog no boat.
Speaker 1 (01:05:01):
Yeah, but she's not a frog no Boatstey, you know
I love you with all all right, but yeah, I've
been saying this for years. I'm all record, I'm a record,
all right, So we gotta move because, like you know,
no where, we're all the tennents, but we got we
got a good one. So in honor of Spooky Goofy season, yes,
I thought, I'm I'm a screenshot something for you right now.
I'm gonna send it to you. We're gonna do a
(01:05:23):
horror slasher draft. Where's his phone at all right, So
I'm gonna drop this in the group chat and we're
gonna do a draft of horror villains. I believe I
listed twelve. I could have did like twenty of them,
but I think this will be like a lot of fun.
So I'm gonna let you get the first pick in
(01:05:43):
the horror villain draft, and we're just gonna go do it.
Let's say it's starting five starting if we're making a
basketball team with horror villains, what would that look like?
Let me know when you got it?
Speaker 2 (01:05:54):
All right?
Speaker 1 (01:05:55):
List Oh and just so you know, you know all
of these, yes guys, right, yes, you know, And listen,
I did this off the top of the dome, which
is very impressive. I thought of twelve slashers right before
this started, so they'll be coming at me like where
are your women slashers? Uh? You know, like where are
the women killers? At listen? The only ones I could
(01:06:16):
think of was Mila Kunis in American Cycle two and
Missus Voorhees. We can put her on there if you want,
so we'll just put that in mind. But we're doing
a starting five because I don't think. I don't think
I would choose Pamela Vorhees over Jason in any like respect,
and any starting five, so you know, if it's in
(01:06:37):
the comments, please hit me with any like women slashers
in horror films, because I can't think I thought I
thought of one. I got one in here.
Speaker 2 (01:06:46):
Wait, actually, so the only thing is I'm switching Norman
Bates and Jason Bateman. Which one is which again the.
Speaker 1 (01:06:52):
Baits Norman Bates is Baits Hotel, Jason Bateman is American
Cycle and that little blank spot. Let's just add Tiffany
from the Chucky franchise. Okay, let's add Tiffany because we
got we got Chucky. Let's add Tiffany. Alright, all right,
So what we're gonna do is we're gonna do a
horror movie villain draft. You choose five, I choose five,
(01:07:13):
and then we'll let the comments choose, like who has
the best Starry five? Sounds cool?
Speaker 2 (01:07:17):
Sounds cool. If I'm doing first pick, then I'm gonna
swoop up Freddy Krueger.
Speaker 1 (01:07:21):
Actually I feel like he has to be a first
Patrick Bateman. It's Patrick say Jason Jason.
Speaker 2 (01:07:28):
Okay, Now I feel I was Okay, Now, I always
get them fixed, that Jason Bateman man.
Speaker 1 (01:07:42):
Maybe I just really wanted to put him all this.
Speaker 2 (01:07:44):
One like watch again, watch the watch watch him.
Speaker 1 (01:07:48):
I don't even think he's ever I don't think I
every think he's ever killed.
Speaker 2 (01:07:53):
Yeah, he's trying to what his bosses. He's trying to
murder that you.
Speaker 1 (01:07:57):
Couldn't even kill nobody in those movies. I don't think
he's ever killed anyone on screen. Oh my god, Patrick.
Speaker 2 (01:08:04):
Jason, There's there's twenty Bates. There's too many paints. There's
too many paints.
Speaker 1 (01:08:08):
And Bateman's okay, Like, okay, listen, I put Norman Baits first,
and I guess I thought Jason Bateman right after.
Speaker 2 (01:08:13):
Oh my gosh, I was like, I remember, I was like, okay,
Christian Bell, Yes.
Speaker 1 (01:08:19):
You know what, I'm not changing it. We'll get my
boy Jason Mason with a number one pick. And the
horror movie Draft, we got Jason Bateman, but you got
Freddy Krueger. Yeah, yes, he's my favorite. Like Slash or two.
You have to be fucking damn it. Okay, yeah, you
know what, you know what, I'm gonna go with someone
who you can argue he defeated him. I'm gonna say Jason,
(01:08:42):
Jason's with a number one pick, but he winks, he
winks it's true. But Jason still like you know, you know,
he's still he still got them you want Jason, Yes, yes, yes,
movie's fucking wild, bro, that movie's so fucking wow. The
(01:09:02):
Android he creates a new kok foo and she does
cook Foo on Jason.
Speaker 2 (01:09:06):
You haven't watched Jason Yourself a favor.
Speaker 1 (01:09:11):
I'm getting hysterical thinking about that movie.
Speaker 2 (01:09:13):
I'm just thinking the simulation, the cara, the capras, no,
the way he's beating one capra with the other one.
Speaker 1 (01:09:24):
Will says half three barretal sex and He's like, oh no,
not about watch. Oh god, that whole movie was. One
of the best Jason kills too, is when he freeze
drives a girl in the liquid nitrogen and then he
like he takes her, puts her head into liquid nitrogen,
wreezes her face, picks her back up, and then smashes
(01:09:47):
her face on the table. That ship was gnarly that movie.
One of my one of my favorite like like pre
death quips is when the girl when like Jason punchs
so like an alien, he puts the hole in the
hole and so everything's getting sucked out and this girl
is like like about to get sucked in right before
she dies. She wants her last words to be oh,
(01:10:09):
this sucks on so many levels, and then she gets
sucked through.
Speaker 2 (01:10:13):
But that was the vibe. I feel like it might
as well say that might as.
Speaker 1 (01:10:17):
Well, like, hey, if you're gonna die, you might as
well go out with the fun.
Speaker 2 (01:10:21):
With the iconic.
Speaker 1 (01:10:24):
All right, all right, j all right, you got Freddy
Krueger and Jason off the board.
Speaker 2 (01:10:29):
I mean, hmm, then I feel like I'm gonna go
for well, okay, but you like if you say ghost face, like,
who is it? M M, that's a good well, you
know that's another draft.
Speaker 1 (01:10:41):
It's like draft.
Speaker 2 (01:10:43):
Unless because that's too confusing. I'm going with you.
Speaker 1 (01:10:46):
You know, he's resilient Michael Myers. Oh yeah, he got
more resilient cat everybody. Yes, he does the strongest fuck too. Okay, okay,
Michael Myers. I mean that's cool, I guess, but I'm
gonna have to go with the creeper from Yeah, like
you should have got first, bro. He never dies, never dies.
(01:11:09):
They never got them. He could fly, he could jump,
take your body parts, and he got a dope best
the song is the best one, so fun, it's the
best one if you ask me, like he's fighting basketball players.
Speaker 2 (01:11:21):
It's also like I don't know because I'm not. I
I feel like I'm not as much of a horror
film as I'm like. I like the I like how
I don't know. I like how it's almost like fun. Yeah,
this is yeah, it is very fun to action.
Speaker 1 (01:11:36):
I love like the character dynamics, Like how like there's
one white boy who hates the black dude on the team,
and like it's like it's like, yo, I don't like you.
You took my starting spot and he's on YouTube just
because I'm black. Well let's throw it. He wants to
throw all the black players off of the bus. Like
it's a lot going on in that movie. Oh, and
like he had like weapon weapons too. Yeah, he's throwing
shurrigans made of teeth, He's throwing shuggins. Bro. His fit
(01:11:58):
is hard, like jeep screepers. Is the man?
Speaker 2 (01:12:00):
Bro?
Speaker 1 (01:12:01):
He come with a theme song?
Speaker 2 (01:12:02):
Yes, creepers.
Speaker 1 (01:12:05):
Where did you get those people? Bro? Yeah, I'm telling you, bro,
cheaper screepers. Yeah, with my number, with my number two?
Speaker 2 (01:12:12):
Okay, well I mean then, I mean then I felt like.
Speaker 1 (01:12:19):
Man man can't Oh oh yeah we're talking. Yeah, I'm
doing my teen are we talking?
Speaker 2 (01:12:27):
Yeah?
Speaker 1 (01:12:28):
I mean I went classic class I think I think
if you're gonna go with one classically yeah yeah.
Speaker 2 (01:12:34):
YEA one was a little bit more like psychological thriller
almost vibes and yeah, yeah, okay, that's a that's a
good pick.
Speaker 1 (01:12:40):
I'm gonna have to go with one of the picks
I wanted to go with. I'm like, that person gets
killed a lot. Like that person gets killed a lot. Uh,
you know what I'm a need. I'm gonna need like
a regular ass person, Like, let's go Jason Bateman, function
(01:13:02):
Patrick Patrick Bateman. No, No, let's go with Jason Bateman.
He's gonna win everything. But I would say I would
say Patrick, even though like you could argue it was
all in his head, like whatever, I'm gonna go with
the fantasy version of Patrick Bateman. No, Like that man
(01:13:22):
was diabolical, he was smart, he was very good at
hiding his emotions. He could be your best friend.
Speaker 2 (01:13:27):
Yeah, And the next thing, you know, I also I
was like, I feel like one of my more pretentious
like movie thoughts is how much I love the business
card scene.
Speaker 1 (01:13:37):
The business card.
Speaker 2 (01:13:38):
I'm like, it's just so it's great, it's so great,
and it's so ridiculous. And just at the end when
he's like gets beat and he's like you can just
so angry.
Speaker 1 (01:13:49):
He's like that silent anger that he has takes it
out on a Jared Letto too, on that one.
Speaker 2 (01:13:54):
That's so good. I don't know why I love it.
Speaker 1 (01:13:58):
That lives in my head rent Free and I can't
even remember what scene of the movie it is, but
it's like a classic like gift of him going like this.
I think about that way too much. It was like
like I want to know what he's saying. Is he
saying ooh, is he blowing a kiss? He's just.
Speaker 2 (01:14:19):
I don't know what that is.
Speaker 1 (01:14:21):
I need to watch the whole movie just so I
can like pinpoint that that moment finally, like know where
that moment goes.
Speaker 2 (01:14:26):
That's good Halloween, you know, Spooky Season rewatched. I think.
So we're in matt and then we have I have
Frey Kruer and Myers and uh, what's it called? Man?
Speaker 1 (01:14:38):
And then.
Speaker 2 (01:14:41):
I'm actually gonna go Maidan for the.
Speaker 1 (01:14:44):
Goddamn Bego's gonna be my next pick, you know I
need Bego's gonna be my next pick. She's a cyborg
and like they're doing a second one. She probably she
could jump into different like god fucking damn.
Speaker 2 (01:14:56):
I felt like that was I was like, in fact,
she was still on on the waiver wire I was.
Speaker 1 (01:15:01):
I was able to figure out.
Speaker 2 (01:15:07):
She stro like she strokes surprising.
Speaker 1 (01:15:11):
All right, you know what you're gonna go with, Megan,
I'm gonna have to go with my boy Chucky.
Speaker 2 (01:15:16):
Yes, I'm gonna have to.
Speaker 1 (01:15:17):
Chucky was one of the other like have you watched
like any of like the newer like Chucky movies like
The Curse and The Colts at.
Speaker 2 (01:15:23):
All those I've not seen those newer ones.
Speaker 1 (01:15:27):
Bro Chucky figured out a way to split his soul
into multiple Chuckies. So now he can like exist in
multiple Chuckies at once. The just multiple yes, each one
with like their old personality too. There's like a buzz
cut Wood, there's a mohawk Wood, there's like a keut
Wood like and he's like fully present and like all
of them all independently doing things.
Speaker 2 (01:15:49):
Timemind Chucky's it's insane.
Speaker 1 (01:15:51):
Then he could like possess people while still being like Chucky.
It's it's like Chucky's gotten pretty like insane.
Speaker 2 (01:15:57):
He's got given him.
Speaker 1 (01:16:01):
He's pretty op.
Speaker 2 (01:16:02):
He's pretty op.
Speaker 1 (01:16:03):
So Megan got all the AI ship going. Chuck's like, yo,
I would just possess a bunch of other Chucky's. We
could have like a little war just with the little people.
Meg's going for the nuclear arsenal at some points. Goddamn,
yeah that's true.
Speaker 2 (01:16:17):
Oh gosh, all right, well final, I mean I'm gonna
actually just use the vagueness of the oh man.
Speaker 1 (01:16:27):
M wait real quick, Nabe starting four so far because.
Speaker 2 (01:16:31):
This is the fifth one, okay, so yeah, this is Smith. Yeah,
so Freddy Krueger, Michael Myers, Kennyman, Meghan and for our
final pick, the Land of Kai would like to draft
Young University drafts. Uh oh, this.
Speaker 1 (01:16:57):
Is a hard one. I know, I'm like, I think
I already got somebody, like like I think I already
got one.
Speaker 2 (01:17:04):
But what do we do with normal baits as a
if like if we're talking about.
Speaker 1 (01:17:10):
You're right, You're right, he's more of a split personality,
Like how effective is he if he's like you know,
mm hmm yeah, But we're talking like like no, let's
say like iconography as well, Like let's add like popularity
like effectiveness.
Speaker 2 (01:17:29):
You know what, I'm in ghost face because for iconicness,
that mask is just like you don't even know who's wearing.
We couldn't even decide, but you know.
Speaker 1 (01:17:38):
It, Okay, Like listen, I just made a TikTok talking
about ghost Face. I just made it to a like
Scream is my favorite horror franchise too, but obviously there's
more iconic ones that I have to like pick like characters,
but ghost Face I was hoping would be like my
last pick, especially since you were like talking about ghost Face,
(01:17:58):
You're like, which would Like I just.
Speaker 2 (01:18:00):
Was pointing out, like, you know, there's I thought I
had them in the bag, so I was like, I'm
just save them for later, but you just took my
ghost And specifically the TikTok that I made was like
I didn't like you know how like there's.
Speaker 1 (01:18:10):
Certain women, like the Spookie season, women who like are
attracted to the serial killers, like like legit, and there's
some people who are like like, there's a lot of
people and I've seen a lot of content of people
just sipping the fuck out of some ghost Face, like
like ghost like like you've seen them, right, Like this
(01:18:31):
culture is insane. Like they're like, yo, if ghost Face
came in and like like choke me and like whatever,
They're just like I will just let it. I'm like,
what's like there's multiple goal Face, all violent, all crazy
why would you let that happen? And then uh so
I was confused for a while, and then screen five
happened Mikey Madison, Man, Mikey Madison, Like she's just that
(01:18:57):
woman is so fied and so fine, and that trend
is going on right now the whole I just want
to be a poor of something, a port of something.
You killed my best friend, Yeah, he died like a pussy.
I remember like seeing her do that and being like, oh,
why why did that dude? What did that do to me?
I just want to know? And plus she was also
(01:19:17):
like kind of like the damn, what am I revealing
about myself right now? She was also like one of
the man one of the Mansons. She was one of
the Manson murderers and what's put a time in Hollywood?
Also crazy like she was literally like she was literally
oinking like a pig in that movie. But I was
still like, I could change her.
Speaker 2 (01:19:43):
He's not even talking about Madison, He's talking about the
winking No, no, Mikey Madison as the person and in
both movies and both movies I find this very fitting
because she is very hot.
Speaker 1 (01:19:56):
She got burned to a Chris in both movies. I
feel like that she gets hit with the flame thrower
by Leonardo DiCaprio and then in a fucking scream she
gets burned on the on the stove. She gets shot
to death at the end, but in both movies she
gets in a fireball because she's that hot, like, oh gosh,
(01:20:21):
I feel like that. I feel like the directors know
the assignment. They're just kind of like the Pikey, this
is how you go out, Like this is just everyone's
singing it, everyone's taking it. Come on, let's just lean
into it. So yeah, So anyway, I'm very attracted to
Mikey Madison's ghost face, and I thought it would be
fitting that I would pick my lady at the end
of the At the end, I think, yeah, let's here.
(01:20:42):
So with the final pick in the Horror Movie Draft
Horror Icon Draft, the Straw had Goofy, Pirates, Pig, Jesus Christ.
There's hmmm, there's only two left, three if you count Tiffany.
Speaker 2 (01:21:03):
No, there's more than the leather Face Jason Norman did
not Joe Jason Jason No, Norman Norman.
Speaker 1 (01:21:12):
Yeah, I'm looking at Norman. I'm looking at leather Face.
And oh, the grapper so there's four. Okay, okay, ooh,
this is hard. I don't think I'm gonna go with Norman.
Cross up. I don't think I'm gonna go with Norman.
I don't think we're gonna go with Norman. I think
I think it's for me. It's either out of leather Face,
(01:21:36):
but I'm like, how much of that is also his family?
Because like leather Face is iconic, he's the face of
that family, but the whole family's nuts. Well shit, you
know what, fuck it. I'm choosing leather Face because if
you get him, you get his family. That's what happens
with all of them. And they still haven't been caught unsolved.
(01:21:58):
So so to recap, yes, starting five poor icons. I
have the straw Hat Pirates, the straw had Coofy Pirates,
have Jason Chucky, the Creeper, leather Face, Patrick Bateman.
Speaker 2 (01:22:18):
And we're we we rebranded the Black Panthers have.
Speaker 1 (01:22:23):
Like within the draft itself, like we've changed.
Speaker 2 (01:22:27):
That was actually on Freddy Krueger's contract. But this is
the team.
Speaker 1 (01:22:33):
This is what we gotta do.
Speaker 2 (01:22:34):
He's fan. What can we say? It's true? Okay, Freddy Krueger,
Michael Myers Megan ghost Face. But who was before we
add oh handy Man.
Speaker 1 (01:22:49):
Okay, okay, see, I think we got like a fair shake.
I think I think an interesting matchup will be what
are the matchups here? Because obviously Freddie and Jason go
ahead up right, I think Creeper and Candy Man, that's
will be interesting as fuck, very interesting. I think that
would be really interesting. Uh, Megan and Chucky is a
no brainer? Rainer right, Megan. I was very tempted to
(01:23:11):
put Lepercott on this list. I was very tempted to
put Lepercott on this list. I like, but it was
starting to skew like very small people like Megan, Chucky,
Tiffany Lepercott. It's like, you know, but uh, let's see Patrick.
Who's Patrick going up against him?
Speaker 2 (01:23:28):
Europe? Sorry?
Speaker 1 (01:23:30):
Jason? Who's Jason Bateman? Jason's taking on everybody. Jason's gonna
do everybody. He doesn't give a fuck.
Speaker 2 (01:23:37):
Oh my gosh, yeah, I mean well, oh wait, he
didn't pick Norman. I was about to say, yeah, yeah,
Norman's Norman's yeahan Patrick and uh, I feel like almost
leather Face and ghost Face have to go against each other.
Speaker 1 (01:23:52):
Okay, Okay, Patrick and ghost Face sounds like a good well,
good good one.
Speaker 2 (01:23:57):
No, I mean Patrick and ghost Face is yeah, actually
maybe that is.
Speaker 1 (01:24:01):
I think that's the right because they're both like regular people.
They're both just like oh knives, like old fashioned. But
I do want to see a face off with leather
Face and ghost Face just because of the name, of course,
Like that's that's what I said.
Speaker 2 (01:24:15):
Yeah, actually, but it does make.
Speaker 1 (01:24:17):
But it makes a lot more sense, like you know,
matchup wise. I still want to do that face off. Yeah,
you know what fun that We're gonna do a T
shirt leather Face and ghost Face like street fighter like style.
Speaker 2 (01:24:29):
Yes, face off, face off, but just do the face.
Speaker 1 (01:24:34):
Bro. That's two T shirts right there, the face off
poster for the movie and its leather Face and ghost
Face and then a street fighter Like.
Speaker 2 (01:24:40):
Wow.
Speaker 1 (01:24:41):
I once saw somebody do a cage match like T
shirt where it just looks like like Marvel versus Capcom. Yeah,
but it's all Nicholas Cage characters.
Speaker 2 (01:24:51):
It's called cage Match.
Speaker 1 (01:24:52):
I thought that was like so genius.
Speaker 2 (01:24:54):
I mean massive talent and Barboy massive talent.
Speaker 1 (01:24:58):
Really, I mean that movie is incredible, incredible, him and
Pedro together just saying Pedro is the new America Suite,
I think so, I think I think it's safe to say, yeah,
he's about to be mister Fantastic, which is gonna like
just take him off into even more of the statusphere
that he is already. He has the Last of Us
season two also coming around that.
Speaker 2 (01:25:18):
Time, like, which I'm afraid.
Speaker 1 (01:25:19):
Uh but okay, so I picked leather face. Who is
who's the person that's going to get your leather face?
Speaker 2 (01:25:27):
That's why I was wondering.
Speaker 1 (01:25:28):
Because there's only one more left.
Speaker 2 (01:25:30):
That's literally all right, Wait, so we have Megan Chuckie.
Speaker 1 (01:25:33):
Meghan Chuckie, jasonson Freddy Ghost facing oh Ras Michael Myerson.
That's that that works? That actually works. Wow, we got
up really well.
Speaker 2 (01:25:43):
That would know if if you went first, it would
have just been the reverse.
Speaker 1 (01:25:47):
Because Freddy Jason and then Freddy. Yeah, okay, see this
is a good as match.
Speaker 2 (01:25:53):
This is a good a good draft to have.
Speaker 1 (01:25:55):
I think we're gonna get a lot of debates on
this ship, like, let me know, guys, who has the
better starting five even horror movie icons. I can't even
like confidently say that I have the better start like
because yours is pretty fire.
Speaker 2 (01:26:07):
They're well matched, but I feel like we should add.
I don't know if it's a mask or what, but
like let's.
Speaker 1 (01:26:13):
Do a mascot going, oh a monster, Oh, okay, season okay,
hold on, and.
Speaker 2 (01:26:18):
I'm blanking out on every monster they exist right now?
Speaker 1 (01:26:21):
When you said now, when you say monster, like, are
we thinking like like universal movie monsters? So like Invisible
Man counts as that too, Like it's a it's a
universal monster. I'm not I'm not saying I'm gonna choose
as extraordinage. Basically, yeah, that's basically. I'm like, there's mister High,
doctor Jaco. There is fucking like Creature for the Black, Oh,
creature on the Black.
Speaker 2 (01:26:43):
Want it to be good in my head or if
it was good, but I just remember enjoying.
Speaker 1 (01:26:47):
That when I when it came out, but I feel
like it I know no one else did, so I'm like,
maybe it wasn't good and I just would easily entertained.
I don't know. I remember hoping that it would be
like Van Hills. I remember hoping it's it's very corny,
but it's still good as fuck. Like, can I tell
(01:27:08):
you something about this movie? I don't know if you
notice that notice this at all. Kate beckhasal is trying
so hard to be cool in the movie like that
as an actress, but like her character is trying so
hard to be cool in that movie. There's multiple scenes
where she tries to do like like either standing as
a pose, like trying to look dope. But there's a
bunch of scenes, I want to say at least three
in the movie where she tries to do like a
(01:27:29):
cool like superhero flip, but she hurts herself instead. There's
multiple scenes where she does that. Like there's one scene
where she's like on a tree and then she tries
to like backflip off of the tree on to another branch,
and she legitimately hits herself, like all the tree in
a movie in the movie, like as a character thing
that she hits it. And then at what point, like.
Speaker 2 (01:27:49):
She remember the flip too, I just didn't remember the hit.
Speaker 1 (01:27:51):
She tries to like like jump off of like a
roof to another roof, hits something and it falls off
the roof and it's like doesn't work. And then at
one point, like I think this was also the trailer
where like everyone's turning into a vampire and she tries
to take a mace and try to like go after
everybody and Van Helson, yeah, what are you doing? And
so I think it's hilarious and spoils for Van Helston
(01:28:12):
if you haven't seen it that she's trying so hard
to be a competent like vampire hunter and she dies.
Speaker 2 (01:28:17):
At the end, like.
Speaker 1 (01:28:20):
She just dies. You're like, you never really get good
at what you do. You kill one of the vampires.
She was, maybe you shouldn't be like they her and
her brother suck, like because your brother turned into it
where wolf then gets killed and like I gotta avenge
my brother and then you get killed in the problem man. No,
it was good, No, Van, it was like fire and
(01:28:40):
like I like that we got to see multiple universal
monsters in it, Like we got to see doctor Jack
Wan mister Hide at the beginning, we got Frankenstein, we
got the wolf Man, we got uh, well fucking Van
Helston is the wolf Man. Now he looked dope as fuck. Yeah,
that transformation scene is like said, I still remember when
he goes like, don't you want to know your past things?
The best Left Forgotten jumps out of his human body
(01:29:03):
into the wolf body, bites the fuck out of dragon literally.
Speaker 2 (01:29:05):
Like mixing in even the angel Gaber like the Supernatural vibe. Yes,
did you watch Supernatural?
Speaker 1 (01:29:13):
I did not.
Speaker 2 (01:29:13):
I watched like one an endeavor, it's endeavor, so.
Speaker 1 (01:29:17):
I mean I watched one piece, so like I don't
mind it. Yeah, I don't mind a good endeavor. Like
you know, you guys, I'm good. I'm good for a voyage.
But uh okay, so we gotta chew before we get
out of here. We gotta choose a mascot. I think
I already have mine because like this is my favorite.
You know, it's probably one of my favorite monsters in
general and fiction. Uh like you know, like you know, the.
Speaker 2 (01:29:35):
More universal movie because of the monster.
Speaker 1 (01:29:37):
I think. I think just because the cool factor of it.
To be honest, I love were wolves. So I'm gonna say,
like the wolfmn like that's that's that would be that
would be our mascot. You know what. You know what
I'm gonna say this, there's a new wolf Man movie
coming out. Oh, a new wolf Man movie is coming
(01:29:59):
out here and that ship fucking rat.
Speaker 2 (01:30:01):
Wow.
Speaker 1 (01:30:01):
The same director who did Invisible Man too, And I
think Invisible Man is one of the best, like horror
movies to come out like a long time so like
so good. So the Wolfman Full Faith and like that
shit's gonna be cool. So I'm basing this off of
that Wolfman. So we're gonna call it so artistics.
Speaker 2 (01:30:17):
It's not gonna be related to the Invisible Man because
I was here's the thing they're saying, No, yeah, it
would be interesting, but.
Speaker 1 (01:30:24):
They could like backdoor that they could like Iron Man
that ship and like just like post credit it because
like Invisible Man is like soul real world and yeah, thing,
but I did hear about some ship for Wolf Man.
I did hear about some ship and it is like
gonna be like real world type shit. Okay, yeah, like
that is supernatural interest.
Speaker 2 (01:30:40):
Yeah, so we're like it's crazy because I mean, well
now I feel I have a big different because I
wasn't gonna say in helsing were Wolf that's okay, okay, okay,
because I was a big scaredy cat when I was
little girl, Like I was afraid of like all the
scary movies. I didn't get into them and a lot
of that sort, and my biggest fear became werewolves because
(01:31:03):
I watched Silver Bullet. Okay, it was like a TV
movie maybe based off of Stephen King book called Silver Bullet,
and I think it was TV Was it not TV movie?
Speaker 1 (01:31:17):
Right?
Speaker 2 (01:31:17):
Well, I just saw I think at home and I
watched it too young and was traumatized worried about were wolves.
Like it's so embedded in me that still to this day,
I still feel even though like I still feel a
little bit and I feel a little bit of concerns
about were wolves in my nightly life around. It's in
(01:31:40):
my head. I don't know. I don't know if you're
if you watch, I won't spoil it, but if you
don't care.
Speaker 1 (01:31:49):
I'm gonna watch it. But you know I don't care though,
let me know.
Speaker 2 (01:31:52):
Well, I mean, because this is the twist, is man,
I don't I want you to want to Yeah, I
don't mind, I don't know, you watch it, watch it twist.
Just no one's safe, No one's safe. It's one of
those not no one's safe, but like you know, you
can't trust anybody.
Speaker 1 (01:32:08):
Okay, okay, minute, all right, I'm watching.
Speaker 2 (01:32:11):
I just remember I enjoying that right now, and yeah,
silver Bullet And it's crazy because I saw like the
graphics as like now, actually, no, first off, I tried
to watch it again when I was probably a teenager
or something, and it was like, these graphics are terrible.
That night couldn't sleep. I was like, okay, this is
in me now forever. But Van helsing Werewolf kind of
(01:32:33):
helped me get over my werewolf obia because I was like,
he's awesome and he's the werewolf. Yeah, and then I
and that. Yeah. So I think that's that attachment to
that movie, and it helped me get through fear by,
you know, finding a way to embrace something I was
afraid of.
Speaker 1 (01:32:48):
Brute, dude, I'm looking at this poster the Blu Ray
like of the Silver Bullet movie. This fucking werewolf is
a biker guy.
Speaker 2 (01:32:58):
Wait, oh okay.
Speaker 1 (01:33:01):
He looks like Megan, but like as a werewolf, what
does it look like? This is what it is? What I?
Speaker 3 (01:33:08):
Oh?
Speaker 2 (01:33:08):
No, okay, interesting different movie. No, no, that's the movie.
But that's just the kid I think running away from
on a bike.
Speaker 1 (01:33:15):
Okay, Like the werewolf has a bad Oh.
Speaker 2 (01:33:18):
He's in a wheelchair, isn't Heah, he's not a wheelchair.
Kids in a wheelchair. He like attaches a motorcycle.
Speaker 1 (01:33:23):
To it or something.
Speaker 2 (01:33:24):
Oh okay, yeah, so he like attaches a motorcycle to
it or something. Man.
Speaker 1 (01:33:28):
Okay, yes, I listen just based off of this, like
I need to I need to watch this.
Speaker 2 (01:33:33):
Yeah, enjoy.
Speaker 1 (01:33:35):
I love the tag line part human, part wolf, total terror.
Speaker 2 (01:33:39):
Yeah, it was that in American World in London, like
that was.
Speaker 1 (01:33:44):
That is why I love were wolves. That is the
reason why I fox a werewolf.
Speaker 2 (01:33:47):
That one gave me an in between it didn't make
me like I liked it, but what it was still
kind of scared.
Speaker 1 (01:33:53):
Yeah. And then yeah, one of the one of the
best transformation scenes absolutely and like movie history.
Speaker 2 (01:34:00):
With those like the technology that they had available to
him at the time, and they still made it so real.
Speaker 1 (01:34:06):
Yeah, it still holds up. Yeah, remarkably today.
Speaker 2 (01:34:08):
I've seen it. Yeah.
Speaker 1 (01:34:09):
Yeah, the fucking best Friend Zombie and ship like he's
like I'm a good Deel Bros. Like damn, like, damn,
nobody's safe. It's one of those type of things. But
before it so before before you choose your monster, well,
choose your monster. And then I'm gonna ask you before
we get out of here, like what was the movie
you watched when you were the first movie you watched
that you were too young to see? That you were like, fuck,
probably not one that was mine. Was the devil's rejects,
(01:34:34):
no evil dead. Oh. I watched that ship at a
sleepover when I was like six. I shouldn't have been
watching that. I shouldn't have been watching that. Nah. I
still remember very vividly the fucking dead. I like crawling
to like the headless dead, I like crawling to get
the guy, and it looked like she was like gonna
hump him to death.
Speaker 2 (01:34:53):
I feel like I saw that more in when I
was older, So yeah, a little bit. Yeah, fuck me up, bro,
that's yeah, that.
Speaker 1 (01:35:00):
Would it fucked me up seeing the swallow your soul,
swallow your I just took myself back to when I
was six years old.
Speaker 2 (01:35:08):
I'm like, literally, I'm like blanked out in old famous
movie monsters right now here.
Speaker 1 (01:35:15):
You got you got yourself, some creatures of the Black Lagoon,
you got some vampires, you got mummies, you got what
was that? Oh? What was that?
Speaker 3 (01:35:23):
Oh?
Speaker 1 (01:35:24):
The fucking signs alien?
Speaker 2 (01:35:29):
Bro.
Speaker 1 (01:35:31):
I saw that ship in theaters. It was never the
same sense.
Speaker 2 (01:35:33):
How did they Oh my gosh, because so much it.
Speaker 1 (01:35:39):
Was the build up, because you never saw you only
heard ship, and then you see on the TV screen.
You see that fucking thing come out of the.
Speaker 2 (01:35:46):
Like I feel the hairs of Oh my gosh, why
would you show us?
Speaker 1 (01:35:52):
Yeah, listen, I remember being in my seat in the
theater going like this, yeah, like like literally just going like.
Speaker 2 (01:35:57):
You forgetting You're so much younger when this stuff came out.
Speaker 1 (01:36:01):
I was a grown as man. No, No, I was
not grown, bro, I was not grown. And that was
another one of those movies. Grandmother didn't tell me what
we were going to go see, and she and it's
just a movie about maybe aliens are in it, maybe,
And then the ship just walked off. It was like
watching I was like, this is what people whoever took
(01:36:22):
that photo of like bigfootus the felt like imagine that
ship and so like that that that it was terrifying,
terrifying that that I believe it was that not six
sense that bought a night Shyamalan stock for the next
like twenty years. Yes, that's what bought that stuff, you know.
It was that on that scene demons it.
Speaker 2 (01:36:42):
Was supposed to act really it was. No, I did
not hear this.
Speaker 1 (01:36:47):
They were supposed to be demons.
Speaker 2 (01:36:49):
But yeah, there was like the original story.
Speaker 1 (01:36:52):
Wow, that actual's well.
Speaker 2 (01:36:55):
Had a difference. That's what they were demons.
Speaker 1 (01:36:58):
Listen. I got a lot to say about tonight, Like
I like him, I hate him, I love him. It's
like it's a weird relationship. Well, he's adorable, he's a sweetheart,
he's a great, nice guy. His movies Trap is so bad,
but it's fun. It's so much fun.
Speaker 2 (01:37:18):
Yes, And for me it was only the third act
that was.
Speaker 1 (01:37:24):
Wi She says, I can play a song and the
camera whips to the piano. That is my favorite scene
of the year. Sorry, sorry, we got people covering their ears.
Well we'll talk about it. Yeah, he's covered. I got
a lot of I got a lot of Trap like takes.
But like I it was probably probably the I'm not
no not spoiling, Probably the most fun I had in
(01:37:47):
the theater this year. And I saw that pome woing
I am dead ass.
Speaker 2 (01:37:53):
The only thing I will add a chap that made
me appreciate it more. It didn't make the not good
parts good, but I loved I was talking to my
friend who's who also is a dad, and he was saying,
he's like, it's literally just a dad trying to like
separate his work life in his personal life. He's like,
He's like it is when you He's like, I've taken
my daughter to like, you know, an event, a park
(01:38:13):
or something like that, and she's loving it, and I
need to go home for something. And I'm like, hey,
wouldn't it be cool if we like.
Speaker 1 (01:38:18):
Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, Hey, let's let's go down there. Right,
let's let's figure it out.
Speaker 2 (01:38:26):
He's like, you're trying to not long the time and
trying to balance that, and I was like, and he's like,
that's what it's like.
Speaker 1 (01:38:32):
But I was like, I'm a dad, so that before, like, hey, baby,
would be nice if like did this instead of that,
that's the thing you want to do, Like oh my god.
Well he looks at the little thing. He goes, hey,
let's go down there, Like what are you do it? Bro?
It's so bad, it's so bad, but it's so good,
and like, yeah, it's true to being a dad. Like
I get that. But he got you.
Speaker 2 (01:38:50):
You still got your master and the monster. I mean,
she's I'm too angry at that signs Aliens even think
about that as it's like did he she is, oh
my gosh, not just say that? Wow?
Speaker 1 (01:39:12):
Did he get up to the creek. There we go.
That's that's that's that's yo yo yo yo yo yo
yo yo. Fuck. I'm sorry, Damn, I haven't seen Blade
Trinity in forever. And that was my fucking.
Speaker 2 (01:39:26):
Movie because I had in a good way, not like
once again, I'm going back to watching it in the moment.
Then I had no problems with that movie. When I
first watched.
Speaker 1 (01:39:37):
It, I had, I had problems. It was it was
the first movie that I convinced my grandmother to take
me to that was r rated that. She was like,
you've watched the first two Blades, Like why not? And
I can still quote that movie to this fucking day.
You think this is a joke. This is a fucking sitcom?
What is this?
Speaker 2 (01:39:54):
What is that?
Speaker 1 (01:39:55):
Fuck you? What's that? I fucking love Blakee Triviy, But like, again,
it's so cheesy, so cool. Yeah, it's so fucking bad.
Fucking Ryan Reynolds is already Deadpool in that movie.
Speaker 2 (01:40:05):
Yeah, already more dead Pool in that movie than Origins.
Speaker 1 (01:40:09):
You fucking made a vampire popperanian the fuck?
Speaker 2 (01:40:13):
Oh man? No, but I mean it's yeah that And
I was like, my now, I'm trying to mix up
the movies because I was singing the Mummy and him
tap was another.
Speaker 1 (01:40:23):
Tap Yeah yeah yeah, but I just love phrase movies, yeah,
I think.
Speaker 2 (01:40:27):
But yeah, so I mean yeah we might.
Speaker 1 (01:40:30):
Uh, who's your mascot?
Speaker 2 (01:40:32):
Bro, who's our mascot? I'm like, who are movie monsters?
Right now?
Speaker 1 (01:40:39):
Pop it movie monster? Listen, I will give opened up.
My favorite movie monster of all time is the Predator.
Speaker 2 (01:40:51):
I didn't know we were allowed.
Speaker 1 (01:40:52):
I'm like, I'm wanting to open that show up? What
is that? I just said? Predators is a good one too.
I mean, my name to the Predators. We are the Predators,
and I think it works with my people, right, Jeeper
Screepers is a predator. Patrick is a predator. And Jason
Jason Yeah, yo, Jason predator. Like I don't know if
(01:41:13):
he's praised on people, but you know, Megan praise on
children's So yeah, we're the predators. Chuck is definitely a predator.
Speaker 2 (01:41:24):
It's like it's a Godzilla monster.
Speaker 1 (01:41:27):
He is a monster. Yeah, it's called the monster verse.
Speaker 2 (01:41:29):
I know he really it really is. Yeah yeah yeah, no,
I mean I love Godzilla, so I feel like that's
where we would go then Godzilla. Yeah, Okay, I hate
call him the monster.
Speaker 1 (01:41:38):
You know he just listen, Godzilla minus minus minus one.
Speaker 2 (01:41:43):
That's a monster.
Speaker 1 (01:41:45):
Godzilla minus one is a fucking monster. Have you seen that? Yes,
of course, Oh my god, have you seen minus one?
Speaker 2 (01:41:51):
It's I know, it's good. Yeah, I didn't see a
white version.
Speaker 1 (01:41:57):
I thought I might do that. Do that for the
first look do that. I was like, I've watched a
lot of gods in the movies, but that was the
first time where I was truly terrified of Godzilla. He
wasn't like, oh, I'm actually like a dinosaur protecting you know,
nature or anything like that. He's like, no, I'm pissed
the funk off, Like I'm here to like give me
(01:42:17):
like I'm here to give y'all trauma, like and it
doesn't anybody could get it. Like I'm like, that's that's
not the you know that, I'm that guy. The thing
that I've made a video about this and I know
they like scientifically explained like how this works, but it
still baffles me. And like him standing in the fucking water,
Like him standing.
Speaker 2 (01:42:36):
In the did explain it because no one else, ever.
Speaker 1 (01:42:39):
Nobody's ever attempted to it. But I'm like, nah, bro,
I can't imagine like Godzilla using his tail on his
feet like like, nah, bro, because the way he stood up,
I'm like, he's in a kiddie pool right now. He's
in a kiddy pool and he has like this is
like I think his first time. It's not his first time,
but he had like kind of like human eyes. They
weren't they were like they look you in your.
Speaker 2 (01:43:01):
Realize why they were serious. But when you say that
that makes sense.
Speaker 1 (01:43:03):
Yeah, yeah, Like when he's chasing them in the boat
like this on the posters chase him in the boat
and you just see the way he's like staring at
the boat like I'm about to fuck this ship up.
That's the thing that scares me the worst.
Speaker 2 (01:43:14):
At the end with Mara, So you're going with god.
Speaker 1 (01:43:23):
When Mathra shows up, that's the whole different like Godzilla universe.
That's happening concurrently with.
Speaker 2 (01:43:28):
Like I feel like yeah, if yeah, because because well
actually no, if you're gonna if you're switch traighters, we'll
go back to the were wolf.
Speaker 1 (01:43:39):
Were Wolf okay, bet okay, I think that was a
trade that was like a trade there's a trade package. Okay, see,
like we could talk forever about this and this is
the last thing I'm gonna say yes before we play
out this podcast, is you watched the new Godzilla King.
Speaker 2 (01:43:55):
Kong the newest one, so like enjoy them for what
they are.
Speaker 1 (01:44:01):
Okay, So yeah, they're like at this point, they're wrestling
matches with dinosaurs and giant monsters. Literally there's like a
fucking like triple h move in the movie. But fucking
they have like King Kong Junior. Now he goes by
a different name, but it's fucking King Kong Jr. And
the thing that kid, Like it's like so funny to
me about this character because they're characters now. Like King
Kong is like basically talking, but like he never says
(01:44:23):
a word, Like things happen and you just know what
King Ko is thinking, right, So they do that with
King Kong Junior, and you like get his little backstory
and everything, but he's like terrified of the big bad
like thing. King Kong don't give a fuck, right, But
the whole time, like little King Kong Junior, every time
some bad shit is happening or King Kong's like pushing
(01:44:44):
the like thing, little baby King Kong is like shit,
like you get everything. Things are about to give fucked up,
like and like I want to make a TikTok of
like a super cut of him, just the whole tip.
I'm like, in my head, his voice is so funny,
but it's enjoyable. It's enjoyable. It's actually pretty enjoyable. Again, Yeah,
(01:45:07):
they gave can call like a mechhand.
Speaker 2 (01:45:10):
I will I saw that. Yeah, No, I think one
thing about those movies about Transformers. I just have this
very strong movie opinion that as a movie goer, you
have to take responsibilitief, not even that you have to
take responsibility for what you're gonna go see. So like yeah,
like when I went to go whenever I buy a
Tricken to go see Transformers, you don't want to fighting.
(01:45:33):
So if I see that, I'm not gonna complain like.
Speaker 1 (01:45:35):
Very or maybe that's not gonna be part of my complaints.
Speaker 2 (01:45:38):
Like yes, I'm just like, you got to know what
you're signed up for. In those movies, I feel like
it's the same thing. I'm like, I want to see
these giant monster's fighting, so that will. That's why I'm
excited to see it. That's the reason I missed it
in theaters because I think I was filming Whenky Mallers
and I wanted to. I've just been waiting to go
to Craig's house or somewhere to watching a big screen.
Speaker 1 (01:45:57):
Okay, that's fair. I mean that's I'm see. That's like
how you should watch it because it's like film for
Imax and again, big ass monsters. It's fun that way.
But I was just watching it and you know, like
you watching the movie, you're just kind of like, this
is the most bullshit shit that is. None of the
human characters makes sense, like you know, they're just saying
like it's science mumbo jumbo, and the most interesting characters
(01:46:21):
is fucking a monkey that can't talk and Godzilla, who's
quite literally taking a nap in the colosseum, Like like
that's just bad. You don't care about the collateral damage
from the battle. You're just like fighting.
Speaker 2 (01:46:35):
Hey, that's what it is.
Speaker 1 (01:46:36):
But co Bro, thank you so much man talking to
me about so many different types of things.
Speaker 2 (01:46:42):
Of course I can talk about movies all day. Yeah,
you're you're inspiring me to do to do it, so
I'll come back anytime.
Speaker 1 (01:46:50):
Seriously, let's get those things going. I feel bad for
Justin because you're gonna have to edit the ship.
Speaker 2 (01:46:55):
Yeah.
Speaker 1 (01:46:56):
Let his head is down. He's like these motherfuckers if
they don't stop talk. Yeah, there's no through line here,
there's no through line at all, but Frozen. Yeah, so
let's get back into the Frozen. They Frozen three is happening.
But is there anything you want to plug before we
head out of here?
Speaker 2 (01:47:15):
Oh gosh, I mean not really. I mean you follow up?
Speaker 1 (01:47:21):

Speaker 2 (01:48:11):
I'm pretty sure it's me that has it, and I
just can't log into it.
Speaker 1 (01:48:15):
But that's so real, that's so real.
Speaker 2 (01:48:18):
Yeah, on both of them, but just have no way
to get in.
Speaker 1 (01:48:22):
Listen. I I fucked up when creating my Nintendo Switch
account and I'm not straw hat goofy on there, I'm
stall hat goofy no R and somebody you can't change
it back. You can ever change it back. Somebody already
took straw hat goofy. So there's someone on smash posing
as mems bros. Yeah, I when I find him, when
(01:48:45):
I catch him and like a arena, I whooping his ass.
Challenge made, it's been made. So stream you out there
with a straw hat goofy name. Fuck you like just
taking my name. But anyway, thank you so much. Guys
