Speaker 1 (00:04):
In the game of life. Maintaining a healthy lifestyle and
nurturing meaningful connections with family can be among the most
formidable challenges we face. Yet for many professional athletes, like
NFL Hall of Famer Kurt Warner and his son Cade
Warner frosting both has proven to be a recipe for success.

Speaker 2 (00:23):
My career was great, and I wanted to accomplish so
many different things, but there is nothing better than watching
your kids succeed in their passions.

Speaker 3 (00:32):
Growing up, I always sell my dad working out, so
I think that played a lot in what I do now.
Is just always trying to do something, always trying to
get better.

Speaker 1 (00:41):
I'm John Frankel. I've spent my career covering some of
the most impactful human interest stories in sports, and one
consistent observation I've made over the years is that elite
athletes rarely achieve the pinnacle of success alone. Often their
family is right there supporting them, helping overcome adversity on
and off the playing field. On heart of the game,

(01:04):
I'm sitting down with some of the biggest families in sports,
the legends, current superstars, and the up and coming playmakers
to understand what's really making them tick for former pro
athletes like NBA legend Tim Hardaway, what wisdom is passed
down to those following in their footsteps like his son,
current NBA star Tim Hardaway Junior.

Speaker 4 (01:26):
I want him to follow his dream, and I want
him to fulfill his dream as best as possible in
his own way.

Speaker 2 (01:33):
There's a lot of times where everybody knows I'm hurt.

Speaker 4 (01:35):
He knows I'm hurt, and I'll tell him like, no,
I think we'll go tonight, But then I'm suited up
Brady to go.

Speaker 1 (01:42):
Whether it's taking care of your heart, safeguarding your mental health,
or persevering through injuries. Listen as we hear the invaluable
lessons being passed down to a new generation of athletes.
