life in all sorts of different situations, and today we
are going to mash some of those phone calls up
and serve them back to you on Hey It's Delilah. Hello,
good evening, You've called the Delilah Show. Who's on your
heart tonight?

Speaker 2 (00:40):
My dad?

Speaker 1 (00:41):
Tell me about your dad?

Speaker 2 (00:43):
So, my dad, he was my biggest fan in the
entire world. He always cheers me on, and he got
cancer when I was sixteen twenty seventeen, and it was
really hard for me, but he told me that he knew,
he knows that I'll always be okay.

Speaker 1 (01:01):
I am so sorry. How old are you now?

Speaker 2 (01:05):
I'm twenty three and I'm happy to be married as well,
so I know he'd be really proud of me.

Speaker 1 (01:12):
Did he know your boyfriend or fiance before God called
him home?

Speaker 2 (01:17):
Unfortunately he did not, But my stepfather was in my life.
They had a very good relationship and my stepfather was
able to meet him though.

Speaker 1 (01:26):
So Dad was right you were going to be fine
because you have such a good heart and such a
good spirit, Yes, ma'am. And what song can I play
to honor him tonight?

Speaker 2 (01:37):
I don't know. Something hopeful, something joyful, all right.

Speaker 1 (01:44):
I will find something joyful and hopeful for your dad,
and I know that he is so proud of you.

Speaker 2 (01:50):
Yeah, thank you. I also want to let you know
that I'm debating about naming my dog after you.

Speaker 1 (01:55):
Actually, if you do that, she'll bark a lot. Delilah's
we can't be quiet. Oh, okay, just giving you the warning.
If you have a Delilah, We've got we got to talk.
We gotta make noise.

Speaker 2 (02:11):
Okay, I'll be I'll be on the lookout for that.
I'll try to see her not the bar.

Speaker 1 (02:15):
All right, good luck. Thank you for calling.

Speaker 2 (02:18):
Thank you for having wonderful night.

Speaker 1 (02:26):
Hi, Nicole. Thank you for your patience. You've been on
a a long time. Nicole. What can I do for you?

Speaker 3 (02:32):
I would just like to dedicate a song to my
soon to be husband. We get married in eleven days,
and I just want to say that he has been
those supportive these last few days, with like a wedding
last minute's stressfulness and just everything he's been like, what

(02:58):
can I do? How can I makes this easy? He's
just been the best.

Speaker 1 (03:03):
So you're getting married to the man of your dreams.
Big wedding or small wedding. Big wedding like big fat
Greek wedding, kind of big wedding.

Speaker 3 (03:13):
No, we're kind of just expecting like a little over
one hundred people.

Speaker 1 (03:17):
So that's that's good size, very very formal or more
casual formal. Yeah, you got a lot of stress, you
got a lot of worries, you got a lot of
Oh my gosh, Oh my gosh, it's gonna is it
all gonna come together?

Speaker 3 (03:33):
Yeah?

Speaker 1 (03:34):
What song can I play for you too? I'll let
you decide, all right, I'll find something sweet. What's his name?
Justin congratulations? Thank you, Thank you for calling, Thank you
for letting me be a part of your celebration. Bait welcome.

(04:01):
What can I do for you?

Speaker 3 (04:03):
I'd like for you to dedicate a song to my
eight year old daughter. She's been having a lot of
issues where she just doesn't think she's the most beautiful person,
and I just think she is inside and out, and
I just want her to know that she's beautiful and amazing.

Speaker 1 (04:20):
So who is lying to her and saying unkind things?
Because an eight year old doesn't doesn't ever think negatively
about themselves unless somebody's feeding them poison.

Speaker 3 (04:31):
I'm not sure, but I know that at home and
with our family, we think she's just so amazing and
we just want her to know that.

Speaker 1 (04:39):
I will play a sweet song for her and any
young people listening, and do me a favor. Can you
do me a favor? Yes, hold up her her pointer
finger and point out fact, if you've got an inkpad,
have her make a fingerprint. Okay, And then and ask her,

(05:01):
in the whole world, in all the one hundred plus
years that we've been doing fingerprints, ask her, how many
people have a fingerprint like hers? Do you know what?
The answer is?

Speaker 2 (05:16):
No?

Speaker 3 (05:16):
One zero.

Speaker 1 (05:19):
There is nobody who has a fingerprint exactly like hers.
And if her little piece of skin on the tip
of her finger is that unique, how much more special
is her heart and her mind and her soul. She's
the only child like her in the whole universe. Make
sure she knows that. Okay, Okay, thank you, thank you God,

(05:42):
bless you. Hi, good evening, Welcome to the Delilah Show.
Who is this Hi, Dlailah.

Speaker 4 (05:54):
This is Gary.

Speaker 1 (05:55):

Speaker 4 (05:58):
Hi seventy years old and I was widowed three years ago.
In last July, I met a woman by the name
of Carly that she's also was widowed a couple of
years ago. But anyway, she just seems to be the
person that I've looked for my entire life.

Speaker 1 (06:18):
Okay, so backup, you said you were you're widowed, you
were married. How many years we were both married?

Speaker 4 (06:24):
Just over forty years. And we're engaged, and life.

Speaker 1 (06:28):
Is good and you get to share the best years
together where you can relax and enjoy each other and
not have to be rushing kids to basketball and football
and being late for dinner because you're working late.

Speaker 4 (06:44):
Well, she does rush the grandkids to cofee lacrosse.

Speaker 1 (06:49):
Okay, so so much for resting and enjoying each other.
You're still very active seniors.

Speaker 4 (06:55):
Yes we are.

Speaker 1 (06:56):
You and my husband are the same age. And he's like, honey,
I'm done, I'm done going to parent teacher conferences. I said,
too bad for you. We adopted a child. We got
an eight year old.

Speaker 4 (07:05):
Come on there, you go, keep you young.

Speaker 1 (07:08):
It does. I'm glad that you have found love at
the stage in your life. I'm glad you are blessed.
Let me play that song for you.

Speaker 4 (07:15):
Thank you very much, we appreciate that.

Speaker 1 (07:20):
I so hope you have enjoyed these radio moments as
much as I enjoy bringing them to you. I'll share
