Speaker 1 (00:00):
I Am all In. Oh, I Am all in with
Scott Patterson, an I Heeart radio podcast. We interrupt our

(00:23):
regularly scheduled programming for a special I Am All In,
one on one interview with the in demand, highly sought
after wife of Scott Patterson himself, Christine. We cut in
while the action is just getting a neger way So good, Wait,

(00:44):
this is Scott. Do you feel nervous excited? Like? What
what do you feel with this guest, this special guest today?
I feel fabulous. I'm feeling good. I'm hanging loose. Everything's
Lucy goosey. Man. I know you've done any Red Carpets together,
but is this the first time you've ever done like
a long interview together. I've never done it. I've never Yeah. No,

(01:07):
we did some interviews on the Red Carpet when at
we were always at Warner Brothers. We're always getting in
a limo going to Warner Brothers and doing interviews on
the Red Carpet. Did you do interviews on the Red Carpet? No?
I just watched you watch me, so yeah, that's her
first one. So I have to admit. Okay, So I

(01:30):
don't know if everyone listened to the podcast last week. Literally,
Scott starts the podcast and the first thing I say is, man,
they really had this like you shot of this random
lady on the opening scene, and I knew you were
in an episode, but I had no idea that was you.
And Scott's like, that's my wife, that's my wife. Ay,

(01:51):
they freaked out. It was a funny moment. It was
It almost was so funny. It seemed like fate, like
we weren't. I had no idea that was you. But
that episode, Look, Jackie's gonna show us that you. It
really starts right prominently on you. There you go, oh
my god, have you seen this episode lately? No, not lately.

(02:18):
There It is all right, and I think your character
was Chrissy. All right, So so the ladies she's telling you,
they're really really surprised. Tell us how you got this role.
Tell us the story. Well, um, Scott called me one
day and he said, you're not gonna believe this, but

(02:40):
Amy wrote apart for you and you have to have
a table read. That is so cool. No way, Yeah,
I was so excited. Have you always been into acting,
Like was that something you wanted to do? Yeah? Yeah,
definitely tell him We met, tell him how we met? Yeah,

(03:01):
and had you done jobs before this? Yeah? Tells everything. Well,
I was studying and I'd done theater before, and I
really wanted to do like a TV gig, but you know,
it's really hard, right, so um, And then all of
a sudden, Scott called me and said they wrote apart
for you because I had audition. I had auditioned to

(03:22):
be on Gilmore Girls before, for different parts. Oh, and
didn't get it. Yeah, it was. It wasn't really a
good fit because they want they were looking for like
a Texas girl or somebody with a Southern accent. And
I tried my best. But at the time you were
not married. You were dating. Yes, okay, so, and you

(03:44):
forgive me if I asked too many personal questions. But
when you started dating Scott, was he Luke or did
you date him before he got the job on Gilmore Girls?
It was before, okay? So no, i'd gotten the pilot, No,
but I hadn't. I hadn't shot it yet. So, oh

(04:05):
my god. So you guys have really ridden this ride.
I don't know how you say it together. You've been
together really throughout his entire trade trajectory, coming famous. Yes,
she's witnessed the whole ugly episode. Yes, I'm gonna ask
like a thousand questions, but do you remember like a

(04:29):
moment going all of a sudden, my boyfriend is famous.
I do, Yeah, we tell us. I remember we were
actually going somewhere. We were at the airport and we
were walking over to our what's it called, to our terminal,
and then all of a sudden, this whole big group

(04:51):
of soccer girls starts running down the hall and they
mobbed him, and they all wanted pictures with him and
pushed me aside taking pictures with the soccer players. I
remember that. Yeah, the timing is so sort of fascinating
because you really experienced it together. M Yeah, yeah, I mean,

(05:16):
you know, the first part of the ride was, you know,
going to all those Warner Brothers parties, going to Amy's
Christmas party, and then going to all those Warner Brothers parties.
There was always a limo coming to pick us up.
There was always a Warner Brothers party, There was always
at this party. It was just kind of a it
was wild, and what was that like for you? It

(05:40):
was fun, It was very exciting. I can imagine nice
in a way that you met before, because you never
Scott had to wonder like, oh did she just like Luke,
do you know what I mean? Like I could happen
she knew you before and was already in the picture

(06:01):
as this was getting bigger and bigger. You know, it
was weird. Uh. We we eventually got invited to a
very exclusive Malibu party, right uh. And it was a fundraiser,
so Jackson Brown was playing on there was a stage
there on this huge lawn and it blew my mind

(06:24):
because Jackson Brown. But there were all kinds of celebrities
there and I felt really out of place. But I
knew the host and he was very gracious with us,
and he showed me around all his artwork in the
house and the whole thing, and you know, and then
we met Pierce Brosnan and Christine pretty much forgot about

(06:46):
me at that point. Sure that's true. Well maybe I
forgot about her at that point. I don't know who
was more in love with them? Oh my good, so good.
But it was like, you're standing there with Pierce Brason
and gone, that's Pierce Brason. What's what's right? Do you remember? Yeah?
I do remember the sparkly eyes, the wonderful hair, the

(07:08):
whole thing. So when Scott got the part of Luke
and you watched the pilot when it aired, did you
immediately think, now, this is this is a really what
did you think? I don't want to What did you
think when you watched the pilot? I thought it was
super cute. I really love the show. It was great,

(07:28):
and then you get this call to play this part.
So what was it like being okay? So yeah, tell
us everything about that, Like, what was it like being
on his set? Did you guys share a trailer? No?
I actually got my own trailer, but while I was there,
I did visit him and his trailer bound chick. Wait,

(07:53):
so was it and had you been to the set?
Obviously you you probably had been down to visit. So
was it different to come now as a working actor
and did everyone know who you were? Unlike us clowns
that are like OHO's our random Yeah, it was actually
super exciting. I remember getting ready that day and getting

(08:16):
my car and driving down Malholland and Kawanga and Barham
going over to one of brother's studios. It was just
like such a magical day. I enjoyed like every single
second of it. And I didn't want it to end.
And I got there and I got to my trailer.
It was I had all my contract laid out and

(08:38):
then and then I was like, I got all dressed,
they got me in wardrobe, and I signed the contract.
And then I was like sitting there like nervous and excited, like,
oh my gosh, I hope I don't forget my words.
I just kept going on the words over and over
and over. Oh my god. It would be added pressure,
I would think too, because not only are you an actor,

(08:59):
but you're like my hut, my boyfriend at the time
is like one of the leads of this show. I
don't want to be an ass clown and like this up.
Yeah totally. Yeah. You were in two episodes, right or
just one? Just that one? Oh yeah yeah yeah. So
you come back for the movies. Yes, we don't even

(09:23):
tell us we'll have to be back for that part.
I want to know what it was like working with
Miss Patty, because that was your you know, that was
your scene was with her. She's so much fun. She
is fun. She really made me feel welcome. She made
me feel really comfortable, and she was like you got this,
you know, it's gonna be fine. So and in no

(09:43):
more fashion, it's sort of a big scene in that
like your part is important, but it's like everybody had
to get their part right. For your part that may
pull her castle where he is lore lies come. There's
sort of a lot happening. I think maybe that's why
you stood out to me much when I watched it,
because it was really like what's going on? And who

(10:03):
is that? And this is It's like, there's so much
happening here. Yeah, yeah, there was a lot happening. Yeah.
I was there that day. I was gonna say, because
you're not in the scene, did you go down? That
wasn't That was an off day for me. I was
very nervous and I sort of I sort of prowled
around and you know, um, I watched a couple of

(10:25):
takes and I wasn't. I was. I was really pleased
by what I was seeing through the monitor and all that,
and so then I left. I said, Okay, I'm not
needed here and let's just get out of her face
and let her do her thing. And you know, I
but I just I wanted to be there in case
there was some you know, in case she locked up

(10:45):
or something. Like you know, but right, you want to
be there in the scene. You're really so cute. It's
like you're you're noticeable in it. And so I I
want to know when that episode aired. Do you guys
remember watching it together, because I don't know if you
knew when you shot it that like it's literally going

(11:07):
to open on you. Yeah. I didn't know that that's
how it was going to be. Did we know that? Yeah?
Because the script says it opens on Miss Patty and Chrissy. Okay,
and you know, actually that scene was a lot longer.
I think they maybe shortened it by a page. Oh wow,

(11:28):
how long has a page? Scott? Like? How many lines
are on a page? Uh? In a in an Amy
Dan script, there are several hundred lines. You know. It's like,
I don't know, would it be a minute in time? Probably? Yeah? No, No, no,
thirty seconds because they show these were eighty page scripts
and you had forty minutes of the twenty minutes of commercial,

(11:52):
so it's actual forty minutes. So it's it's thirty seconds
a page, which is why I had to go so fast. Okay,
So now, and I'm sorry to ask so many questions,
but I mean, how dare you in an interview, I
mean taking over your show. So here's the things that
be as as Scott's friends, co workers, but also fans

(12:12):
want to know, like do you see any of Luke's
characteristics in Scott or to Scott bring a lot of
himself into Luke? Um, I have to say that he's
exactly like Luke. Oh my gosh, we agree. Really, there

(12:36):
isn't a chance that is not. I'm so much looser
than that funny girl's funny. You don't think Luke is funny.
Luke is very funny. He's wrapped really tight. I'm not
like that you want. We'll be right with you. Oh

(13:06):
my god, you're going to get over it. Everybody hopes
Scott also like that's what we want, Like, we don't
want you to be totally different, like you will have
some differences, but like we want you to be that guy. Well, okay,
now now maybe like years later you're a little different,

(13:29):
But back then you were a lot like Luke. I
was in character the whole time. Probably do you think
Scott changed when you had your son? Like did that
change him as a person a lot? Yeah? Yeah, it
did softened him a bit. It did yeah, yeah, I

(13:49):
found my you know, it's it's a love that you
don't expect. It's just an earthquake of like, that's somebody.
I mean, your whole life changes at that moment. It's
just it's and the cliche is true. It's not about
you anymore, that's over. It's it's about that little life form,

(14:14):
that little guy. You know. That's it. And yeah, everything changes,
everything changes. Whoa it would be It would have been
cool if we got to see that that sentiment you
just said in Luke and Laura Lie exactly. That would
have been something that would have been so amazing to see.

(14:35):
I mean, they touch on it. I don't want to
run up for Daniel. They touch on it asy bit
in the movies, but that is an element of the character.
I mean, we do a little with Jess and with
you know which I won't say Daniel sir. Oh god, yeah,
I won't even say it right now. So okay. So

(14:56):
my other question is, like for Christine is like, what
did you think as you know, the show's getting bigger
and bigger and going on and on, Like you know,
you date actors and you think, oh who knows, and
now your boyfriend and soon to be husband has this
like show that's been on for seven years that he's
one of the leads on, and it's really your life

(15:19):
probably changed, like I don't know even like not to
ask a red question, but you probably have like, well,
you had baseball money, but not gobs of money, and
then all of a sudden you have this like show
that's on network TV for seven years. I did not
have baseball. No. But to Amy's point, like were you
watching every week? You know, like were you thanks for

(15:39):
the house? Yeah? Baby, because we started out. Tell him
about apartment we were in that little studio apartment. Tell
him about that little student. Oh yes, Scott lived in
this little studio apartment. It was basically like one giant
room that was divided into a bedroom, then sort of

(16:02):
like this living room area, and then an office off
to the right side, and then it had this little
bathroom and then a kitchen that was separate from everything.
And you know, when we first started dating, I used
to come over there all the time and he'd cook
me these epic meals. He'd always make salmon. We'd go

(16:25):
down to the Gelson's down there and get everything, and
it was amazing. He's so cute. See he's exactly like Luke.
He was making any meals. Okay. So Jackie has a question.
She wants to know how you guys met. How did
you meet? Um? Well, I was at the complex, just
kind of wandering around looking for this theater. I was.

(16:50):
There's a theater row in la Is. I was teaching
there and a place called the Complex that had four
war theaters in a two downstairs, two upstairs, and I
was teaching in the one of the downstairs one, and
she was taking class in one of the upstairs one.
So go ahead, you take off, okay, as sure, don't. No,

(17:15):
no, no no, no, no no, no no no. I looked there
is an age difference. Let's let's that's the elephant in
the room. Thank you. It's I was forty one, she
was twenty one. Okay, twenty year age difference. Okay, you
have a twenty year twenty age difference. Yeah, but here's
the thing, you've been together like over twenty years, twenty

(17:39):
three years, going okay, okay. So so you know, she
was eyeballing and I caught her. No. I was looking
for the bathroom, and then I see I see those
guys sitting there in the corner and he was he

(18:00):
looked rather athletics. So I just kind of like, I
turned out baseball money to baseball player, like, you know,
showing out. So I checked him out for a second
and then went and found the ladies room, and I
came back a long second much. I came back and

(18:22):
he stopped me and started talking to me. He's got
a little game. He's game. Yeah, don't don't, don't be
looking at me because I got game. Careful, what are
you looking at? Game? Luke's got game two. We just
saw that when he's asking Luke enough game compared to me. No, Luke,

(18:48):
Luke has game. He needed a book and a terrible
What are you talking about? Do you remember seeing Christine
and thinking, oh, she's cute. Do how do I What
do I do? Now? Hello? Yeah? Right here? Okay, then
I want to know hope for Christine. So you're dating

(19:09):
Scott and he's on this show. In your wildest dreams, like,
did you ever think I'm gonna marry this guy. We're
gonna have a baby, He's we're gonna have this How
we're gonna move out of this crap apartment? One day?
It wasn't crap. It was beautiful. It was a beautiful, convenient,
wonderful place. Could you have even envision and what would
happen with his career? Because look, we always talk about Luke,

(19:32):
but you you worked consistently when you want to Scott,
like you're in Saw. You did the move, the show
I liked with Blair Underwood, which I can't remember what
was the event which turned out to you and you're
and you're we'll get to back working now, because I
have questions about that. But like Christine and your dreams,

(19:53):
could you have ever sort of dreamed this for yourself
and for him? Uh? Well, you know on our first
date when we got to that restaurant Drafts in Santa Monica,
he just like walked up to to the person to
tell him that he has a reservation and he told

(20:15):
him two for Scott Patterson, and I just, I don't know,
for some reason, I thought Patterson missus Patterson. I just
thought that. But I didn't tell him anything, you know,
I don't want to scare him as you had Game two. Pristine,

(20:43):
Oh my god, she never she was cool. She never
pressured me. She never you know, she never gave me
a hard time about anything. And it was impressive. The
baby was born after Gilmore Girls ended during twenty fourteen,
oh so much later. So what a whole other lifetime.

(21:07):
Now you're living essentially together like you did the Gilmore
Girls thing and all and now and I know, okay,
so this is my question because I know from Scott
and he you know, we know being a dad is
like it's his number one thing. There's nothing more important
to him. So what did you think when he decided
to go back to acting and leave to do the

(21:29):
new show? Because is that the first time since the
baby was born that you you had to leave them? Yeah? Yeah,
yeah for that period of time, for that chunk of time.
Yeah yeah. So what did you think when he came
to you and said, I'm going I'm thinking this part's
going to happen. I was excited for him. I didn't

(21:54):
like that we'd be apart from each other, but you know,
you just kind of go with it, right, And so
decided that we'd be visiting him a lot, and since
it's in the summertime, we could potentially just go up
there and stay there the whole time. Yeah. It's so

(22:17):
interesting that, like actors life, the musician life, because as
the person married to that person, you do have to
it is like there's not the same consistency schedule, even
like money can go up and down, like it's not
like a regular life. And so did that? What did you?

(22:38):
Were you scared of the how to? Really like, you
know what, I'm gonna this guy is gonna, we're gonna
do this together. Well, I was. I was so young,
and I was really actually very naive about the whole business.
And I only thought that success was possible. I was
not aware that it could be like up and down
for some reason. And like on our first date at

(23:01):
that restaurant, he told me that he booked this job
that he needs to go to Canada and film this
thing called Gilmore Girls, And I was so excited for him.
Already in my mind, I'm thinking, oh my god, he's
on a TV show. I had no idea that, you know,
the chances of it becoming a hit are very slim
to none. I had no idea. I thought, Okay, for sure,

(23:21):
this is a hit. This is gonna be great, Scott,
like you thought it was like cool, Like you were like,
this is exciting, this is fun. Yeah, it almost makes
me want to like get teary Scott, do you looking
back now think like, I don't know, whatever you believe
in fate, God, whatever it is, somebody really had a

(23:41):
plan for you, Like you met your future wife and
got the job of a lifetime all at the same time.
Oh crazy, Yeah, that's crazy, you know. It's I think
people's lives just not mine, But I think a lot

(24:01):
of people's lives come together when they get busy and
they just you know, I was busy. I was teaching
three acting classes a week. I was. I had an
assistant who was teaching a Saturday class for kids. I
was busy. I was. I was teaching offering privates all
day on the weekends and at night on week days.

(24:27):
So I was just so exhausted and so busy. But
I was bringing you know, I was paying my bills. Yeah,
and I just didn't have time for anything else. So
when gilmore opportunity came along, and all these other auditions
that I had came along, they were always in second position,
a third position, yeah, because I had my main jam

(24:49):
and I always make it. That was my money. That
was you know, keeping a roof over my head and
keeping gas in my car and food on the table
and being able to take, you know, take Christina out
to you know, fancy restaurant in Santa Monica, which just
like when the bill came, I was like, hey, I

(25:09):
don't know, obviously worth it, uh, but you know, look,
you know what we used to do. We used to do.
You know, I'm gonna tell them about the money dance.
We used to do the money dance. And I know
the money dance was every time the paycheck came from

(25:31):
the show. Yeah, I would go to the the mailbox. I
would get all excited because it was such an amount
of money. It blew my mind. Yeah, and this was coming,
and so I'd go inside and I'd say, you know, hunt,
time do the money dance. So we do we do
our we do the money dance. Oh my god, what

(25:52):
a time like together? Yeah, we did that. Well, we
didn't live together for the first what two years of
the show show? Yea three years of the show. You
moved in what two thousand and five? Did you move
into that apartment? No? No, no, no, no no no no.
I bought a house in oh three. And then she

(26:14):
came in two years later, thinking oh five, oh six,
oh six, Yeah, right when I was about to sell
it and oh but I didn't. I h I hung
onto it. I was gonna say, did you stay in
that house all the way till your son was born? Yeah?
After after he was six years old when I sold
the house. We sold the house two years ago. Yeah,

(26:34):
I know, we knew you when you moved. Oh my god,
so that house. Look, I try not to be like
that person that attaches so many memories to a house,
but that had to have like a lot of memories.
For you guys, it was hard to leave, and especially
hard for her. You know, it was hard. So what
did your family think, Christine when you were like, I'm

(26:54):
gonna marry or I'm dating, I'm gonna marry this actor
guy and he is over this actor guy. What did
you say? What did they think? You know? I remember, No,

(27:18):
we can't. We don't recall senator. I see. But now
it's all good. Now, it's great, it's all good now.
Yeah yeah, yeah, oh my gosh. Okay, So Scott touched
on this a little bit. I think last week that
your son is starting to understand like, my dad's not

(27:40):
quite like the other dads. Like people recognize him. He's famous,
he's seen the work. What is that like for you
as the mom navigating that with him, Like, it's so
different than most kids, right are most kids at school?
It's probably a little easier because you're in LA, but like,
what is that like for you guys? Well, he's just
early starting to realize it. So it's he hasn't fully

(28:05):
he doesn't fully understand it, but he's like beginning to
get it a little bit. Yeah, he's seen me on
TV under he knows what famous means. Yeah, I was
thinking about that. I was thinking about that, but he
just he doesn't understand. You know, when people come up
to me in airports and things. He it's like, Daddy,

(28:26):
you know, why did that? Why did that person want
you to sign that thing? What is that? You know?
Are they giving you money? And I'm like kind of
I said, no, those are fans and I'd explain it
to him. And I was on a show and you
know they love the show and you know, and it
will be interesting as he gets older, right, because it's

(28:48):
it's a different you you know, it's not quite the dad,
but like that the show has had this longevity and
it just keeps going and going. I mean, would you
say both of you that the show is more popular
now than it even was when it started. Yeah, I
think so, yeah, I think, you know, I think the

(29:10):
Netflix episodes made it go really viral globally, and it's downloadable.
I don't I don't is it's still on the platform.
I'm not really sure. I think it still is. I'm
watch it a lot of Yeah, there's a lot of place. Yeah,
so it's it's it's it's available on a lot of
different platforms. And for example, yesterday, I'm leaving the gym

(29:31):
with my buddy and uh, this young girl just like
kind of beaming over and like I just have to
say my mother, and I love you and and oh
my god, are you And it's just like, you know,
our relationship was healed because of because of the show,
and we love you and the whole thing. And I
hear that every single day, and it's really nice. It's
a really nice thing to hear, right that you're involved

(29:55):
in something like that. So, um, yeah, I have a
friend who she's about to give birth like any day,
and she's on bed RISS and she just started for
the first time from season one. So she was texting
me like she's on like because she knew we'd do
the podcasts. Um, but yeah, she just started. Are seeing
a little jealous? Sorry, I get jealous for Danielle that's

(30:16):
experiencing it for the first time. I'm jealous of Danielle. Yeah,
I wish I could go back. I'm jealous of Danielle
too waits. She lives in Santa Monica. She's got such
an easy, freezy way about her. I feel like I'm
also watching it like how people watched it when it
was live on TV. Because I'm watching it each week,

(30:38):
you know what I mean. So I'm like, literally mean
not watching the finale right now. I'm like, when is
the finale out? I need to watch it now. It's
all I've been holding off. It's so funny, Christine for
us because Scott is, like I would say, he's like
three people, right, because there's the Scott we do the
podcast with, that's like the guy that's our co worker.

(31:00):
We do this show him. But then I have those
moments when I'm like, oh my god, he's also Luke,
like he played that guy. It's really weird. Danny, I'll
ever having this conversation where we're like, he's so many
to us, so many sort of different things, because sometimes
when we talk about Luke, I almost forget that I'm
talking to Scott, who is Luke? Do you know what

(31:21):
I mean? It's like very surreal and confusing at times
because he's also watching some of these things were the
first time, so it's just like it gets so fixed.
I mean, I sometimes these things pop up on Instagram
where it's like Luke and Laurela and there's all these
still shots of him or like little memes, and I'm like,

(31:43):
oh my god, Luke, that's my husband. It is kind
of surreal. It just kind of and and I don't
remember watching yet a whole lot while it was going
on back then, but like now when it pops up,
it's like, oh my god. Social media, it's so it's

(32:03):
so weird for me because remember last week, because there
aren't look I'm not gonna lie there aren't, and I'm
sure there are many girls. Luke was real charming and handsome,
so I get these weird moments because there's that scene
Scott where we talked about like you were getting ready
for the wedding and you're in your you know, handsome suit,
and I'm like, oh, you were so cute. Right, He's

(32:29):
like this redndsome guy totally and so, and like I
laugh with the people that fans that listen to the
podcast because they get it too. For Scott. You guys
should see Scott's he wants to leave you want to interview?
That's not You have to sometimes like understand, like one

(32:52):
of the reasons we love this podcast and Gilmore Girls
is like Luke is cute and charming and the swooning
and the kiss and it's like that's such an important thing.
So I wonder what that's so funny for Christine to
have those moments of like, oh, yeah, that guy, I'm
married to that guy. Yeah. Yeah. I have a question

(33:14):
for Christine, Um, what did you think when Scott told
you that he was going to do this podcast? Like
what were your thoughts, like, did you think it would
did you think it would be as as big as
it is, or did you think like, oh, this is
just something fun he's doing. Yeah. I had no idea.
I didn't really know the world of podcasts. I just thought, oh,
that's that's fun, that's cute. Yeah. You have to understand,

(33:37):
I'm constantly scheming and so every week he has something
another idea and that's all exactly. She's so used to
it by now she she doesn't even break stride anymore.
Oh god, you know, she just she continues up the stairs.
Oh that's great. Huh okay, I gotta go. He s
always get excited about every single idea he'd ever have,

(34:00):
and then I realized, like, I can't sustain this. Then
I'd be like, let's just wait and see if it
becomes like something big, I'll get excited later. Can hang
up You're like, you can hang up that poster? Now?
Did you ever have a moment when you're like, oh

(34:21):
my my nutty husband, this podcast actually do? Like I
was like, wow, this is good. That is so good.
Oh my face, oh so much? Oh my god, god
is so good. So have you ever I wish that

(34:47):
Christine came with you when we did the Warner Brothers Lot. Yeah,
well you know she had to stay in Colorado with Nick. Yeah,
I forgot. We made you fly home. Sorry, But like,
I would love to experience that with her through her eyes,
because when Danielle called me and she's like, it's going amazing.

(35:07):
Scott is hugging grandmas and kids and like the videos
are so crazy. I'm just this like massive crowd following
him like the you know he's Santa Claus or something like,
is that weird? You know. I wasn't there, so I

(35:27):
didn't experience this. But he came to Colorado and he
told me all about it, and it's you know, he's
some one pretty good. Yeah. Have you ever gone to
any of those like cons or any of those fan
events with him? I haven't. That must be so weird
when there's a thousand people in a line to get
your picture. No, I don't think it's weird. Listen, if

(35:51):
they had those when I was growing up, I would
have dragged my parents. That made my parents take me
to to go see you know, the people that I
was enamored with when I was I was like Mark
Hamill and Harrison. Yeah, you know, you know, I mean
I think anybody would. I mean, if they're coming into
your area, right and it's like it's a little bit,

(36:11):
you know, it's a ticket and and I don't know,
it's just Gil Gilmore fans are are very much the
same and that day are. They're very open, they're very
they share their feelings very easily. Um. It's always very
emotional and very sweet. Um. It's really something and at

(36:36):
the time, it's so much love. It kind of is.
It's a love fest, and they just they just wanted
to like that girl yes to she just wanted to
tell me, you know, hey, I don't I don't want
to bother you. I don't want to break your stride anything.
But you did so much. Your show did so much
from my mother and I and were you know, it
healed our rift and we watched the show together even

(36:59):
to this day. So it's yeah, so that's what it's like.
It's really nice. Never I never saw that comming. That's
that's one thing. Did you ever see that comming? I
never saw that coming. Oh, that you would like really
impact people's lives. That wasn't part of the thought process
at all. It was just like great character, great show,

(37:21):
it's gonna be over, got to get another gig, got
to keep the health insurance, you know that kind of thing,
and um yeah, just keep keep moving, keep keep working.
It's it's just what is that like now to realize, like, wow,
this show really impacted people and it really it really
means something to so many people. Um well, it's when

(37:46):
I go out in the world and I experienced that,
and when I'm home. It doesn't yeah, yeah, yeah, it's
just you just take You can't carry that around, you know, because, um,
you know, I have all of these responsibilities here, you know,
I have to her. I have a boy to raise
and or a help raise, and it's it's a lot

(38:07):
of work. And we're doing all the work and it's
a joy, you know, it's it's fun, but it's a
big responsibility, you know. So Christine, would you like to
see the show come back one more time in some way? Yes? Absolutely, yeah, yeah,
we need to see what happens next. Yeah, I agree. Agree,

(38:30):
we agree time for time for a big wedding. Big wedding. Yeah,
I don't We'll do a little wedding, right, Yeah. We
would need them to be together. I mean they gave
listen t J a big wedding. Where's my wedding? It's
not a little sorry I'm getting short changed here. Where's
the worst the wedding? We ask Christine if she's team Dean,

(38:52):
team Jess or team Logan. Absolutely, this is like major No,
I'll always liked Dean. He's on time out right now. Danielle,
Danielle is a little I don't know, Danielle I'm nervous

(39:14):
about next week. No no, wait, so okay, I mean
before we go, like Christine, like, I'd love to just hear, like,
what what is your favorite thing about the character of
Luke and your favorite thing about Scott. My favorite thing

(39:34):
about Luke he's, uh, he's always there, you know, He's
just no matter what, he's always there for you. And
he's got the coffee ready, and he's got your back
like he's he's your guy, you know. And that's that's
how he is in real life too. That's crimes so sweet, Scott,

(40:01):
You're lucky. And you guys have fun. I think that's
the thing that I'm so glad about because this is
we we get little bits of Christine here and there,
little bits like we see our arm Marshall say, hey,
but like you guys have good time together. Huh. Yeah.
We laugh a lot. Yeah, well I should do, and

(40:22):
and we do. We laugh a lot. We sit down
at dinner and we're just like crack up laughing. We
tell stories. Nick tells stories. We just laugh and laugh
and laugh. I find everything funny in life. Um, for
the most part, I just find the absurdity of it.
And and so do shade Um. You know, we we

(40:42):
just we we do. We laugh a lot, that's for sure. Huh.
I feel like we need to do rapid fire. Yeah,
oh my goodness, right, do you want me to do it?
You guys want to do it? No, you do it.
You do it, and we say, bravo Christine, wonderful performance
as Chrissy. We love that it opened up on that
random lady and it turned out to be you. What

(41:04):
a cool things you guys, thank you for doing this,
like thank you for having me. And we love your husband.
He works his butt off on this And the thing
that I'll say, he really cares about this podcast and
we appreciate it so much, like he really wants he'll
do anything. We say, fly here for one day, you know,

(41:29):
can you do this interview in the middle of the night,
like whatever, And it's like he really loves this show.
Yeah he does. Well, here's how I talk about it
because like I, like I said previously, I scheme, I
try to do things and they fail, and like everybody right,
and and I just picked up a phone and I

(41:51):
called you. And then nine months later, ba boom, we're
on the we're recording, and I just I kept more
marveling at this eventuality to my wife and I was saying,
I just picked up a phone, yeah, and it was pandemic,
and I what can I do here? What can I do?
Because the scheming doesn't stop? What am I gonna do?

(42:15):
What am I gonna do? Keep moving, keep moving, create
another business, let's go. Yeah, I mean I think that
it was. I feel super lucky even with all their critiques,
Like these people listen to this every multiple times a week.
They come back and they're so in it with us well,
and they cared just as much yeah, you know, if
not maybe even more, Like they're so invested and that's awesome.

(42:41):
But I think I think also I got lucky with
the three of you because it's a good hang for
me and we have good conversations. And now that I've
learned to just shut up and listen, because I didn't
do that before. But Christine ever walks by the door
and it's like what is he Because it must sound

(43:03):
so crazy to hear like what are they doing? Guitars going?
It's like we're like just doing weird goofy crap all it.
I must be so funny to be like what is
he doing? In there. Yeah, Now she knows I have
a sign on the door that said podcast in progress.
Do not enter one of those light up signs exactly exactly,

(43:27):
and then Nick would come in and sit, Dad, there's
a red light on outside? What's that mean? I know
you could. We could tell right from the beginning who
really runs things at your house, and it's neither of you. Two. Yeah,
that starts with the letter end Nick. Nick is now

(43:48):
insisting that I get in touch with Elon Musk because
he wants to sit down and have a meeting with
him to solve his battery pack problem. He has several
solutions that he has the graphics for and that designed
from I'm not kidding. I mean he's like, like I said,
he's five times smarter than the two of us put together,
and she's three and she's three times as smart as

(44:08):
I am. So it's like it really leaves me in
the dust. All right, ready, little rapid fire, All right, Christine?
How many cups of coffee you having a day? Three?
Are you team Logan, Team Jess, Team Dean? I think
we already knows, and you can only choose one, Sorry,
there must only be one. What is your favorite? Gilmore?

(44:30):
Girl's character like we already know. Thank you. What would
you order at Luke Steiner Burger and Coffee? Would you
rather go to on a road trip with Taylor or Michelle? Michelle, Well,
finish the lyric and where you lead. I will follow
dot dot dot anywhere that you tell me too, because

(44:53):
it's right here she's reading it. Thank you very much,
nice little inside info. You're good acting there because I
didn't even see her eye that seeing that it's scary.
It's right now, she's good. Uh, Jackson's Vegetables or Suki's
Baked goods us Baked Good? Would you rather listen to

(45:14):
Drella's harp or The Trooperdour's cover songs harp? Uh? Chilton
Prepper Stars, Hollow High. There you go, ladies and gentlemen.
My wife is awesome right there. Oh god, that's gone.

(45:36):
Buckle up. No, it's the it's the finale. We are.
I think we're probably gonna have to do another two parter.
There's a lot going on there. We might have to
do a three part show up. But oh well, thank

(46:03):
you for being a guest on my show. Thank you
for having well, You're very welcome. You're welcome anytime. And
you'll probably be in the kitchen when we're doing the show,
so we could just call you in right. That's gonna
do it for I Am all In Podcast with Scott Patterson.
