Marissa and Teddy have been dating for over three years after first meeting in college. Marissa does tell us that at one point both of their friends and family didn’t like that they were together, but things have improved the longer they have been together. However, over the weekend Marissa came back from her sister’s bachelorette party and noticed a long red hair on Teddy and hers bed and she doesn’t have red hair. Marissa doesn’t want to assume Teddy is cheating on her, but she is starting to worry.

We call Teddy pretending to send him a free bouquet of flowers and when we ask him who he wants them sent to, Teddy asks if they can be sent to Marissa. Find out what’s really going on in this week’s War Of The Roses!

Speaker 1 (00:07):
War of the Roses. I he turned down at your
morning show. You're in a relationship that you think is monogamous,
but then some things pop up the gosh, you're thinking
maybe something I don't know seed's going on. We try
to get to the bottom and see what's up. Marisa,
good morning, Hi, good morning. So this is like fresh,

(00:28):
like this is within the last twenty four hours or so.

Speaker 2 (00:33):
Yeah, I'm totally crashing out right now.

Speaker 1 (00:37):
It's all good. So let's get this. You and Teddy
have been together. How long we've been together?

Speaker 2 (00:44):
Three years now? We met in college and like I've
never suspected him of anything like this, but you know,
I don't know. It's three years and it's kind of
one of those pivotal times to see, like are we
gonna go to the distance, Like what it's going on
between us?

Speaker 1 (01:04):
Really?

Speaker 2 (01:06):
Maybe, Like marriage is on my mind in general, just
with stuff going on in my family. But my family,
like people who are close to me have not always
been rooting for us all the way, just because we're
both pretty stubborn.

Speaker 3 (01:18):
We're very similar.

Speaker 2 (01:20):
But I love him, I wanted to work out.

Speaker 1 (01:25):
Let me cuts you off when you say people in
your family haven't been rooting for you. Guys were talking
about openly saying like, hey, girl, you should break up
with them.

Speaker 2 (01:34):
I mean, not like harshly, just like I think more
protective of like yes, you know, yeah, like just being
a little bit more wary, just because we are super similar,
and I think people are a little bit sometimes by yeah,
we just like butt head sometimes on stuff because we're
just super passionate. Okay, and I think that works for us.

(01:55):
But people have been very protective.

Speaker 1 (01:57):
But okay, well I appreciate that. Sure, And let's get
to this past weekend. So this past weekend, you're out
of town for your sister's bachelrette party.

Speaker 2 (02:07):
Yeah, so I guess that's probably why I'm thinking about wedding, marriage,
lifetime stuff in general. As I was at my sister's
Betchelortt party this weekend, and when I got back home yesterday,
I found a long red hair on our bed. And
that's interesting because I'm blonde, and so yeah, I mean,

(02:35):
I don't want to think that he would do anything
like this, but like I also am like spotting in
my head a million different ways, thinking like, Okay, how
would I strategize if I was him and I was cheating,
and like, I think I'm just overthinking it now because
I don't know. I would like some outside assistants to
get to the root of this figure out, Like if

(02:57):
I'm being paranoid.

Speaker 1 (02:58):
I ask you, why is there? Yeah, let me ask
a quick question. When you guys, you guys live together, obviously, Yes,
did it appear that he overly cleaned your place like
he was covering tracks me at back or see him
like just another day getting back from the office.

Speaker 3 (03:14):
Yeah, I mean he did.

Speaker 2 (03:17):
It was clean, it was tidy, which originally when I
walked in the door was like, ah, babe, that's so sweet,
thank you, But then when I found the hair, I'm
kind of like, yeah, it's just ramped up my suspicions.

Speaker 1 (03:30):
Okay, so let's do this, Marissa. We'll have Sauce call
from the flower company off from the roses. They should
clearly go to you girlfriend of three years. If they do,
we'll put them on hold. If they go to somebody else,
we'll get some answers for you. Okay, Okay, I'm like hyper, okay, yeah, good.
Probably wore the roses in less than three minutes on
intern Johnny Morning Show, wore the roses on Internjown in

(03:53):
your morning show, Marissa, let me recap this. You and
Teddy met in college, been dating about three This past weekend,
you went on a batch rette party for your sister.
You came back to the place you share with a
young Theodore, found a red hair on your bed. You
have blonde hair, not red hair. That's kind of the
brass tacks, if you will. But some of the key

(04:15):
details I wanted to touch on this again. You mentioned
that throughout your relationship, your friends and family have hinted
that you two should not be together because you, in
your words, you guys are very similar and butt heads
fairly often. Is that fair?

Speaker 3 (04:29):
Yeah?

Speaker 2 (04:29):
Yeah, yeah yeah?

Speaker 1 (04:31):
Is this? And I know I wanted to be honest
with yourself. Is this a case of they think he's
a good person, just not good for you, or they
just don't like him, and you're maybe trying to convince
yourself it's just because we are too similar. I know
it's a hard question to answer, but like, would they
be friends with him if he wasn't with you?

Speaker 2 (04:54):
I don't know. I don't I think that they try
their best. I don't know. I'm probably being like totally
paranoid because I know that they are rooting for me
to be happy.

Speaker 1 (05:04):
But right, but I don't think I let me cut
you off. But this isn't really a paranoid thing. It's
pretty black and white. If they told you you shouldn't
do with him, that's not like I'm suspicious, Like, no,
the girl.

Speaker 3 (05:15):
You should do with They care about you.

Speaker 1 (05:18):
Have they told you flat out, hey, you guys should
not be together. We don't think this will work, like.

Speaker 2 (05:24):
Not recently they did in the beginning. Yes, and I
I've been like on this mission to prove them wrong.
And I just I hope that I am wrong, But
like I don't know. It's just why another woman's hair
where we.

Speaker 3 (05:38):
Sleep, you know?

Speaker 1 (05:41):
Okay? And so my final question is, let's we're going
to assume positive. But if it is indeed somebody else's hair,
what does that mean for you? Is this all you need?
And if he sends the flowers to Jackie or something
like that, are we getting out of the relationship.

Speaker 2 (05:58):
I'm gonna be like very honest, like, so now what
I want to know, Like where he's going to send
these flowers?

Speaker 1 (06:08):
I understand, but let's just say he sends to somebody
else though, And he is indeed cheating. Are you breaking?

Speaker 2 (06:13):
I want to know what's going on and I want
to just like get to the bottom of like where
is his hair coming from?

Speaker 1 (06:18):
Okay, but Maria, girlfriend, listen, friend a friend here, Let's
just say he is cheating. It's confirmed, he says, I'm cheating.
I want to send this girl flowers. Are you breaking
up with him?

Speaker 2 (06:31):
Yeah? I have to, and then I have to.

Speaker 1 (06:32):
Figure out where Let's okay, let's so, are you are
you sure you want to do this?

Speaker 2 (06:41):
We need to do this.

Speaker 1 (06:42):
Okay, all right, okay, okay, okay, okay, all right, all right, fine,
it's all gonna work out. One second and give him
my hold. I'm sure it's just a miscommunication. Maybe he
has a chucky doll something like that.

Speaker 3 (06:58):
Oh gosh, hell, Hi, I'm calling for Teddy. Hi, Teddy.
My name is Emily.

Speaker 4 (07:08):
I'm calling you from a new local flower shop. We're
called y Mess Flowers. We're trying out some new marketing
and your name is actually on this list. So we
just want to offer you a free bouquet of a
dozen red roses just and hopes you come back to
us after you see them in person. I don't need
your credit card info and it would be really fast
if I just get them out today.

Speaker 1 (07:29):
I'm sorry, where are you calling from again?

Speaker 4 (07:31):
I'm calling you from our a new local flower shop,
and we're just trying out some new marketing. I it's
Gorilla marketing, so your name's just on this list. So
I'm just calling around to see if anyone wants some
free roses and hopes that you just come back to
us in the future since the holidays are over. You know,
holidays Valentine's Day big for us with summer coming. Just

(07:53):
to line, it's probably like something you signed up for.
I'm not really sure how it works, to be honest
with you, I'm just trying to help my parents flower
shop work.

Speaker 3 (08:02):
You know, we're new again.

Speaker 4 (08:04):
Economy is not fabulous, but I think that once you
see my mom's bouquet of red roses, you're gonna love them.
I'm sure there's someone special in your life, but if not,
it's okay. I can move on to somebody else.

Speaker 2 (08:16):
Are you.

Speaker 1 (08:18):
Do you need any well? Okay, hang on.

Speaker 5 (08:21):
You're giving me a three dozen roses and I can
send them to whoever I want. I don't need to
give you any information.

Speaker 4 (08:28):
No, So I don't need a credit card info like
I said, And also, we would love it if you
kept it local, but if not, we can send around
the country. We just are hoping that when people see
the bouquets of that my mom makes are so gorgeous,
that it will start getting the word out because there
aren't a ton of local flower shops here anymore, so
we just start trying to keep it in the community.

Speaker 5 (08:49):
Okay, Oh no, that that'll I mean, that sounds great.
I mean if you don't need my credit card, yeah sure.

Speaker 4 (08:55):
We just start really hoping that it will become a
word of mouth thing once people start seeing them, especially
in a business or at home all that stuff. Like,
we're not asking you to post, We're just we just
want you to see the flowers, you know.

Speaker 1 (09:07):
Yeah, yeah, no, that sounds great, awesome.

Speaker 3 (09:09):
Thank you.

Speaker 4 (09:09):
Okay, So I want to make a little profile for
you in case you do you end up coming back.

Speaker 3 (09:12):
So who do you want to send them to? They
are a bouquet a dozen red roses.

Speaker 5 (09:18):
I would like to send them to my girlfriend Marissa.

Speaker 3 (09:21):
Oh love that?

Speaker 1 (09:23):
Do you need me to spell her name?

Speaker 3 (09:24):
Is it M A R I S S A?

Speaker 1 (09:28):
Yeah?

Speaker 4 (09:29):
Awesome and then you said that she's your girlfriend. I'm
just going to make a little like note here in
case you come back, so i'd be like, oh, are
you buying?

Speaker 3 (09:35):
Are those from Marissa? Your girlfriend?

Speaker 4 (09:37):
You know? And then what would you like the card
to say? It's just a typical flower card?

Speaker 5 (09:44):
How about thinking of you?

Speaker 1 (09:48):
I love you?

Speaker 3 (09:49):
