Speaker 1 (00:04):
You guys loved her so much that we are bringing
her back. The tea is back to spill the tea.
Tory Spelling joins me again to break down Real Housewives
of Beverly Hills. We've all heard of scandival, but do
we all really know how vander Pump Rules was born.
We're taking it back to twenty thirteen when Lisa asks
Brandy to meet with Sheena, the waitress from Sir who
(00:26):
admitted to having an affair with Brandy's ex husband. This
is the Real Housewives of Beverly Hills Season three, Episode eight,
vander Pump Rules. Let's get into it. First of all,
thank you for coming back. You are one of, if
(00:47):
not my favorite co host to do this with. And
now we have layers because one of my producers pointed
out to me that during this episode there's a cheating
conversation which we'll get into. And there's a current cheating
coversation in the Bravo sphere about the scandalval that Tom
and Raquel and who's the other person, Arianna? So you
(01:09):
know it and do you know the people?
Speaker 2 (01:12):
I do not know them? Okay, I waited to be
And then once you go down the rabbit hole. You
can't stop.
Speaker 1 (01:18):
Oh you. I didn't even walk in. I just know
it's called scandal. I've see. I couldn't pick any of
them out of a lineup, except for probably the guy.
But I get that. I've read the book. It's it's
friends and a triangle and a cheating scandal. Not married,
no kids. So people were cheating that work at a bar.
That's on a reality show, O guys breaking news?
Speaker 2 (01:37):
Well okay, so I wasn't into it, and then my
friend said what it was about and gave me the
short story, which was wrong. But this is how I
got on board.
Speaker 1 (01:45):
Okay.
Speaker 2 (01:46):
It was two friends married and they and one slept
with the other one's wife and they were but there
was like a cheating scandal with both and I was like,
WHOA never heard of that? Like a double doozy.
Speaker 1 (01:57):
Okay, Oh you thought it was a foursome that crossed over,
because I've seen that too.
Speaker 2 (02:01):
Yeah, that's what I thought, which I was much more
invested in that. No, that's a nice one for that's
like a cross yeah, because these days CNN breaking news,
but it's it's at one step.
Speaker 1 (02:10):
It's more it's a little more wise.
Speaker 2 (02:12):
Yeah, they're two best friends, but the other friend has nothing.
Speaker 1 (02:16):
To do with it.
Speaker 2 (02:18):
I just knew about it.
Speaker 1 (02:19):
Got it, Get him out of here. We don't care.
Speaker 2 (02:22):
Yeah, So I don't know. I don't know why it's
breaking news. I don't get I don't either.
Speaker 1 (02:26):
Because I also didn't think that Adam Levine cheating. I
felt like it's a supermodel and a rock star, beautiful
people cheating on each other. I was like, Okay, it's fine.
But when Armie Hammer is boiling people's bones for broth,
that's when I wake up. When Arnold Schwartzenegger is, you know,
having babies with his nanny, I get out of bed, like,
I'm like, I'm this is a scandal. I can invest the.
Speaker 2 (02:44):
One that pushed you over the edge. That's yeah.
Speaker 1 (02:46):
Yeah, I mean yeah, but people are invested, and that's
reality TV for you. Okay, and then we have we'll.
Speaker 2 (02:55):
Get into I think that I do think that the
Brandy Eddie Chibrian and Leon Rhyme's and she's and and
that he was cheating when when Brandy was pregnant.
Speaker 1 (03:03):
That's that's more deep. That one. That's a big one.
That's a big one. Like and I do have sympathy
for her, and I did have sympathy and empathy for
her in this episode, because that's a big one. So okay,
so let's get into this crazy uh group. Now, Faye,
you must know. I've met Faye and I like her.
(03:23):
I think she's cool. I've met Fay. I don't know
her well, but I've met her. And what's funny is
that it's a it's a cautionary tale. It's a cautionary
tale and an example of someone who by being associated
with the OJ trial and testifying and then posing for Playboy,
(03:44):
it did leave an indelible mark. And the truth is,
so many other people like Kim Kardashian has an entire
career from being in a sex tape, and somehow Fae
being in Playboy after this OJ thing left the bad
taste understandably in people's mouths. It's weird. It's sort of
like a calling card and her identity when I almost
can't separate it from who she is, her persona, and
(04:07):
then I hear her talk and I've met her and
she's really smart and I like her and she's funny
because I remember her being funny, and so it's an
interesting thing about a person whose reputation precedes them, which
happened at that dinner at crazy dinner party with Camille.
Speaker 2 (04:23):
I've always wondered why she wasn't asked to be on
the Housewives.
Speaker 1 (04:27):
I wondered at this episode too, like she's she's and
she was in an interview chair. Yes, and I would
not imagine that scandal, would I mean, maybe back then
they didn't want that scandal. But now lol, Like I wonder,
I got to ask that, que hold on, I got
a text Andy Cohen right now and ask him why
is he really?
Speaker 2 (04:45):
Yeah, hold on, let me just text him because it's Marissa.
The character of Marissa, she.
Speaker 1 (04:51):
Reminded me of Stephanie Ruhl, who's like a MSNBC reporter.
This one reminded me of like a daytime talk show.
Ho's not a housewife?
Speaker 2 (04:59):
No, but I felt like she was in enough scenes
that perhaps they were like testing it.
Speaker 1 (05:05):
Oh totally, Oh no there, yeah, one hundred you're one
hundred percent there. That happens right right. I also don't
understand why you're not a house wife. Someone to ask
him that next too, But.
Speaker 2 (05:12):
And I promises, promises, you told me that last time.
Speaker 1 (05:16):
I probably did, but I probably didn't ask him.
Speaker 2 (05:18):
I'm gonnaskhim, Like, how is Brandy Glanville, like not even doesn't.
I mean, I get why she's on it. She's great,
I does originally not a housewife in Beverly Hill, doesn't
live in Beverly Hills, not even married to an actor,
divorce from an actor who's now married to a saint.
Speaker 1 (05:33):
Like yeah, but I thought Fae, like that's a good one.
And she's spicy and she's not afraid to get dirty,
and you could tell she wants the job. And the
other woman is an example to me of a woman
who make the mistake of wanting to seem like bigger
than that game, Like what are these people doing? It's
so crazy? Get into the fucking crazier, get out?
Speaker 2 (05:53):
She felt like an Eden sas soon.
Speaker 1 (05:58):
Right, yes, like later like yeah, you're just what you're
like looking, you know, quizzically, like you just were.
Speaker 2 (06:05):
You were dropped from a helicopter into this group. You
don't know why, yes, right, So.
Speaker 1 (06:09):
Paul, it's an example. It reminded me back of Simon
and Mario, like fighting with the female housewives, like Simon
fought with Jill. Mario like it's just a bad look
like like Paul and his wife are fighting with Brandy.
It's just like the men need to get out, like
(06:29):
right that that visual is not good for me.
Speaker 2 (06:32):
Yes, and next week Mauricio does it. It's it is, Yeah,
I don't know. They should stay back.
Speaker 1 (06:38):
You have to. I just can't imagine. Yeah, no, I'm saying,
you're right, you have to. You have to stay back,
Like it's not they're not. It's not necessarily for men
to get involved. It's happened on Orange County too with
a Shannon Badour's husband got into it with Vicky like
in the face, like it's just it's a very bad
look for a man to be to be like fighting
(07:00):
with a woman.
Speaker 2 (07:01):
No, I agree with you, but I feel like Paul
from the beginning was getting to have his own show,
which he got his own show eventually, but I felt
like he wanted to be wanted screen time, so he
didn't care if it was right or not right to
get into the middle of the girls.
Speaker 1 (07:14):
Because there are certain ones that sit back and they're like,
I'm doing this for her, I'm just doing this, And
oddly I think Joe Giudice was one of those. He
was like rolling his eyes in the back and then
later they had to do it for the money. And
he's there, but he doesn't want to be there, And
I respect someone who doesn't want to be as a man.
Speaker 2 (07:32):
Please, Paul would never even be He wouldn't even put
his toe on it.
Speaker 1 (07:36):
So I respect that in a man like, not someone
who's like, you know, like Joe gorg is funny, but
he's a house he's his housewife and so a Simon right, agreed.
Speaker 2 (07:46):
Yeah, so I feel like that was Paul's whole thing.
Speaker 1 (07:49):
Good point. I like that, that's true. He wanted to
be in the spotlight. Okay. Yeah, it's a turn off
the men that want to sit in the chair and
be the house husbands. It's like a real turn off.
It seems like Teresa's new guy wants to house husband too.
Not unpredictable, but right, Okay.
Speaker 2 (08:06):
So.
Speaker 1 (08:08):
You've met Lisavannah Promb but I bet you know her right, yes,
very well, you know very well, very well.
Speaker 2 (08:13):
I don't even know why I just said that, but
like very familiar, very familiar, like very very very very acquaintance.
Speaker 1 (08:21):
Yes, right, okay.
Speaker 2 (08:24):
And I've gone out to dinner with her, I've yes,
I'm above beat the Hollywood, like meet and greet, like
nod your head in another celebrity more than.
Speaker 1 (08:33):
Oh yeah, Like it went from the bullshit double kiss
to like you might do a kiss in a hug,
like you know her first Okay, I got it.
Speaker 2 (08:39):
I slap her butt. Yeah yeah, and so and you
know Brandy too, I bet I do know Brandy. I
do know more or same amount. I knew Brandy back
in the day when she was married to Eddie, where
they seemed happy years and years ago. I also grew
up with Eddie Cibrian. Oh, my best friend dated him
(09:04):
in high school and then yeah, we actually went on
a date with him once.
Speaker 1 (09:11):
Wait, okay, so we have a couple of things to unpack.
So Eddie and you knew Eddie from high he went
to your high school. He just dated your friend and he.
Speaker 2 (09:21):
Dated my friend in high school, Okay, dated losely.
Speaker 1 (09:24):
Was he like hot? Was he like a real hot hot?
He was hot, very hot? Okay? Yeah? And was he
into acting? Did you guys think he was going to
be an actor?
Speaker 2 (09:33):
I think so, Like yeah, I think he was always
gunning to do that.
Speaker 1 (09:38):
Okay.
Speaker 2 (09:38):
And then years later caught up at a nightclub and
he was flirting with me, and I said to my friend,
do I go on a date with him? That's weird,
like you were with him in high school. And she
was like, oh, I don't care, Please go with him,
go out with him. I might not have to say this.
I think he's a very nice guy. I'm sure, but
(09:58):
this is what young people think, right right. So we
went on a date. It was like this place in
Hollywood at the time, Drace, do you wem Dre's Yes.
Speaker 1 (10:08):
I loved Dresa and Losianaa. Yes.
Speaker 2 (10:10):
So he was going to take me there, and you know,
all my friends were like.
Speaker 1 (10:13):
Oh, that's good. That's that was my dating era. Yeah,
that was good. That was a good day place. It's nice. Okay.
Speaker 2 (10:18):
So he took me out during the week, prime time.
It was like a Thursday night, like everyone was there
and we sit down. Oh there was paparazzi. Oh no,
you were in high school. No, this is later, I said,
in my twenties.
Speaker 1 (10:29):
You were somebody you were you had been on nine ohtome.
Speaker 2 (10:31):
It was I was on nine oh two one zero.
Speaker 1 (10:33):
Oh, so there was paparazzi.
Speaker 2 (10:35):
There's never a picture of us though.
Speaker 1 (10:36):
Okay, okay, God, I don't know, but got it.
Speaker 2 (10:40):
We go to sit down and I'm looking at the
menu nervous, and then he says, I'm not really hungry.
You're not hungry, are you? Yes? So I was like,
what do you say to that a young girl, this
hot young actor guy. And I was like okay, sure,
and he's like, let's just get drinks. And I was like, okay,
of course, hadn't eaten, was so nervous, didn't order food,
(11:01):
just ordered me drinks. I ended up getting wasted. Now
so wasted that I went to go to the bathroom
and walked into the kitchen by mistake and grew up
in the back of the kitchen at Dre's.
Speaker 1 (11:12):
Holy shit, Wait a second, why did Drese allow you
guys to sit at an actual table without eating?
Speaker 2 (11:18):
I don't know. Good question.
Speaker 1 (11:19):
May because you were famous, because you were famous one
hundred percent, Like they wouldn't allow like frivetime Thursday could
to have at least an appetite.
Speaker 2 (11:26):
No, you're right, Long story short, grew up in the back.
I mean took me home. I think he did kiss me,
and I was like, oh, I hope I don't have
puke breadth. We weren't a match which was fine. And
then he did text me the night or there wasn't
even texting, was there texting them to ask if I
could get them an audition in one of my dad's shows.
(11:48):
So he just wanted to go out with me.
Speaker 1 (11:51):
That was gonna be. That was a question I had earlier,
was if he if he ran through those shows, well
that's that's painful, and that that just put.
Speaker 2 (11:59):
About taste in my mouth. But super seemingly nice guy.
I have nothing against him aside from that. And we
didn't hit it off anyway. But when I met him
with Brandy years later, they were married, and she was
very nice and he seemed great. They seemed happy, and
then cut two years later the whole cheating scandal, and
(12:22):
I saw Brandy again after Eddie and Leanne have been married,
and she was not nice to me. But she's now
friends with my husband's ex, so a lot I just
I just like dropped a lot on you.
Speaker 1 (12:36):
Yeah, no, I like, I like your your husband's ex
and she are friends, so that makes it even weirder.
Speaker 2 (12:41):
Now, so my husband and I, which is why you
should be a housewife, right, So we met while we
were both married. This is your secret and Apparently when
he got a divorced from his ex, she reached out
to Andy Glanville and said, oh, Eddie's with LeeAnne. We
(13:03):
have a similar story. We should be friends, and they
became friends. Actually she was on Brandy's podcast.
Speaker 1 (13:19):
It feels like Lisa and Brandy. That's why I asked
if you knew them both, but the answer was well
worth the weight in gold. Feels like Lisa and Brandy's
a made up for this isn't this Ladies and Gentlemen?
Is the made for TV relationship? Like Kelly ben Simone
who used to go to fashion shows and wouldn't you know,
speak to people that were not Somebody was not going
(13:39):
to be friends with Jill Zarin unless she went on
the Real Housewives of New York City. It's just that's
just not who her friend group is or was. So
I feel the same way about Lisa vander Pomp and
Brandy Glanville, like this is called grab somebody have an ally.
We would never be friends in LA were it not
for the show.
Speaker 2 (14:00):
Percent like ridiculous, But I don't really see any of
them being friends with Brandy to be honest.
Speaker 1 (14:08):
No, and they didn't feel they felt the same way
when she was on, because this is the way that
like Ramona felt about Alex and Simon, she felt that
they weren't at the level and they lived in Brooklyn.
It's like Beverly Hills is very very Beverly Hills.
Speaker 2 (14:21):
It's good casting. Though she's great.
Speaker 1 (14:22):
There are highs and lows, like she's crying in the
driveway and wants to leave the dinner party and it's
like very emotional, and then she's super calm in you know,
the meeting with Sheena. But I love seeing that crossover.
That's very very cool. And at that time, did vander
Pump Rules exist?
Speaker 2 (14:41):
No? Right, So that night this aired, vander Pump Rules
the premiere came on right afterwards.
Speaker 1 (14:47):
Holy, I mean, Tory spelling, You're come on, well, how
the hell would you freaking know that? How do you
know that?
Speaker 2 (14:54):
Because I watched it. I'm such a huge fan, you
have no Look, I'm.
Speaker 1 (14:58):
Glad, but that's a memory. That's it's a memory. I
was on the goddamn thing. I don't know what you're
talking about. I literally and that tracks that makes sense. Okay, wait, okay,
So that's Sena and she's a main, major, major character
on vander pomp rules right, right.
Speaker 2 (15:11):
So obviously this is news. It was on I mean,
Sheena says that she was well, Brandy says, you were
on Access Hollywood crying that Eddie left you for Leanne.
But he left me I was pregnant. So obviously this
is public knowledge. Brandy's on the show. They're about to
start another show. Obviously they would bring Sheena on to
start working at sir to make it seem real.
Speaker 1 (15:32):
Oh you you don't think it was already.
Speaker 2 (15:34):
It can't be a coincidence that she was just like, wait,
who is that working here at sir? Lisa vander Pump
my best friend.
Speaker 1 (15:40):
It's so funny. Lisa Vanderpump is so dramatic. So Adrian
and Brandy have a problem, and Lisa says something's some
things aren't easily fixed. Like she delivers these Joan Collins
lines that are so dramatic, and it just reminds me
of the acting that is this medium. Uh she is
Alex Carrington, right, she's so yes. So so another like
(16:04):
token scene that always happens on Housewives and started back
then was like, oh, let's do a scene with a medium.
Let's do a scene with your psychic. It's like crazy
mediums on the show. The last time we had we
had that medium at the dinner, the Crazy Dinner with
Kyle right at Camille's aus. And now we have this
medium and it's very awkward. And this is what we
call folks, somebody who reached out to the show or
(16:27):
to the person to give them a free reading because
they want to be on the show. And that's like
sort of what this performance was about.
Speaker 2 (16:34):
Oh my gosh, so this Sorry, I'm going to go
back to the beginning. So I watched this episode with
my daughter the other night and she comes on the
share fairly early. Sorry, she's fourteen, right, okay fourteen? And
I watch it and she goes, wait, there's a psychic
on Wait is this a joke? Like did they know
(16:55):
about your eye and about you thinking there's like something
curse on us? And I was like, no, they have
no idea. So that's why I was like, these things
keep happening to us. And I was like, and we
keep joking, we need a medium, We need a psychic
to come in and clear our space. Boom, another psychic
is delivered. Not shocking, it's Real Housewives.
Speaker 1 (17:14):
But that's hilarious. Yes, it's Real Housewives, so there's always
a shocking shocking medium And you know it's funny because
Taylor is now on OC. I think I saw something
on Instagram last night with like a trailer and I
saw Taylor on it. Yeah, so we're saying I should
move to the OC then, so then you got to
move to the OC actually to tailor. But she was
always an on you.
Speaker 2 (17:34):
I didn't connect with her as a quote unquote character,
Like I didn't connect on her.
Speaker 1 (17:38):
Maybe I will over here. I just there was no
there there besides the story surrounding her, Like the details
of what we're about to talk about regarding her were
interesting to me, and the situation obviously, But she herself
never seemed like a good fit as a housewife. It's
the circumstances around her that fit. So that's where I
come from, which.
Speaker 2 (17:57):
Is sadly probably why she lasted longer on the show
than she would have.
Speaker 1 (18:02):
Yeah, exactly exactly. So this is a situation. So she
has a lawyer, she later married that lawyer, and now
I guess she lives in Orange County and she's on
Orange County. So in this situation, I guess there was
a quote unquote friend that she did business with that
wanted to get paid. I guess from the estate. Now,
there's no such thing as show friends. It's show business.
So she did business with this person. I don't know
(18:23):
any details about the business, but she owes them the money,
you know, and if they see that she's wearing a
ten carrot diamond ring and has arimez bags. I don't
know the details of the situation, but she attached such
emotional meeting to this ring and bags where I would
have been excited that I let me go in the
other room and get a bag to pay you, Like,
that's a great situation. Everybody wants cash. Cash is king,
(18:46):
so getting paid in a watch or a bag, it's like,
take the fucking deal. Why are you complaining?
Speaker 2 (18:51):
But you're engagemently. I guess I felt bad that Why
didn't they just ask her for the money? And if
she chose to cash it in and give them the
money from the ring, that's her choice. Why specifically of
the ring do they do that.
Speaker 1 (19:03):
I think we've gotten to the point where you don't
have the No, they go after your assets when you
don't have the money. So she doesn't have the money,
So they go after the assets, and it was someone
that she knew, so she feels that that was heartless.
I think they were probably thinking, okay, well, if she
can't pay us, she'll pay us in you know, something
that she has. But I just feel that it's a
material item. I don't know. I just felt. I don't
(19:25):
know what I felt. I felt. And some of our
bags were found out to be fake. Would you be curious?
Would you want to meet the mistress? I know you're
gonna have some story in your bag of trips, in
your bag of tricks that connects to this. I just
know you do.
Speaker 2 (19:39):
Well. Okay, here is another question. When they approach Brandy
to do this. If if she were smart, I would
have been like, Okay, I'll do this because this is
huge for you. I will do this, but I want
like a development deal for my own show or something
like it.
Speaker 1 (19:55):
Something or I thought you were going to say, give
me a part on Band of farmp Rules. Oh, that
would have been smarter, right, some den mother like under
Lisa or something, because she would have been good at that.
She'd be working at a bar right now and still
be good at it.
Speaker 2 (20:11):
Well. I hope she got something is that a thing
or you just had to do what they tell you
to do and just hope you're on that's that.
Speaker 1 (20:17):
Level with no leverage, you kind of have to. But
she definitely could have gotten something, and that's a great
I like where your head is at. She definitely I
didn't think of that either. Tori Spelling, the genius Real
Housewives analyzer always.
Speaker 2 (20:28):
Comes up with something that would be proud.
Speaker 1 (20:30):
Yeah, he actually would. You're very analytical, you are. You
back it up with facts and examples and ideas, solutions
that would have been smart and you and they would
have done it. They would have had another scene where
she walks in the bar after the conversation didn't satisfy her,
something like that. Yeah, that's so yeah, And she could
have gotten paid for that too.
Speaker 2 (20:49):
I have done a scene like that. When I had
my reality show True Tory, which was about my husband's
infidelity and getting back together and all that. I did
have a scene where I went to lunch and talked
to his ex wife, who initiated that. My producers wait,
(21:10):
what do you mean, Oh yeah, no, They were like,
have you ever met with her?
Speaker 1 (21:15):
So it's a similar Okay, I said.
Speaker 2 (21:17):
I talked to her once before you know, he and
I even got married, and it was regarding his son
so we could co parent all of us. And they said, well,
now that he has, you know, been with someone else,
do you feel like you would want to have a
conversation with her because you guys are on the same
men now for once. And I was like, I was
scared to do it, didn't want to do it, but
I was like, okay, this will be cathartic.
Speaker 1 (21:39):
And was it? No, Okay, you made it major. It
brought things up and you didn't need them, You didn't
need them to be out right. What was it like
experiencing infidelity? Was the fact that it was public? Much worse?
And was it was? It was the feeling hurt or
embarrassment or both? And which was first? Good question? It was.
Speaker 2 (22:06):
Obviously I didn't want it to be public, so we
would have dealt with things privately. When I was told
that the SENA on this end, I guess the woman
he was, you know, was with, was going public, had
sold her story, put her name to the story, not
even off record, and it was going wide. It was
(22:27):
kind of like, well, once it was out there, I
wanted my narrative to be out there, which was embarrassment.
It was I remember before the story broke on a Monday.
Christmas was on a Wednesday, and I just remember hearing
at the end of the week before it was going
to come out, and I was like to my publicist,
(22:49):
can you just beg them to wait till after Christmas?
Like I have young kids at the time, I had
four kids. My oldest was about just sick because I
think my youngest was like fourteen months.
Speaker 1 (23:04):
What makes someone stay? Because I've spoken to Hillary Clinton,
and you know, with speaking and reading between the lines
without getting directly into it, it felt like everything that
we've heard about Bill Clinton doesn't define a fifty year
marriage or however long they've been married, Like there's a
lot that goes on besides whatever is you know, Like, yeah,
(23:28):
like the things that we hear about do not define,
you know, decades long marriage. So what was the reason?
Did you know you were going to stay? And then
that was the embarrassing part because it's like, you know,
how you tell your friends something that they know and
then you go back and then you feel embarrassed because
you talk. So what was like the whole circular thing
(23:50):
you knew you were going to stay, or you hadn't
worked it through yet, like, because if you were leaving,
you would have felt like vindicated that everybody knew why,
and obviously it wasn't your friend.
Speaker 2 (24:00):
So there was definitely that camp of people that were like,
you know, it's empowering to leave, Like there's two mindsets, right,
And it's like, I didn't care about any of that.
I think in my heart, I was in love with him,
we had four young children. I didn't honestly, I don't
think I thought for a second about leaving. And I
(24:21):
was shamed after that for people being like, you know,
why would you stay? How could you? It was more
the shame was on me, I think, more than what
he did. It was more like I can't believe she stayed.
And it's like, interesting, So you just said, that's amazing.
By the way, your parents were married for how many
years before your dad passed? Uh, we're gonna be married
(24:42):
seventeen years in a couple of weeks.
Speaker 1 (24:44):
No, but your parents, Oh.
Speaker 2 (24:45):
My parents were married twenty eight years. I think.
Speaker 1 (24:48):
Okay, So I think it's amazing that you said I
never even thought of leaving.
Speaker 2 (24:53):
That's the truth. I probably this is the first time
I've admitted, I'm sure I was embarrassed to tell people like,
of course I've thought about what it would be like
to leave and everything, And it's like.
Speaker 1 (25:03):
But you is it because we took vows? Is it
because you so desperately love him? Is it because one
or multiple affairs don't define a whole marriage because of
the kids? Like? What was the reason that you said
the sentence I've never even thought about leaving because I
can't think of a relationship. I haven't thought about leaving,
and I haven't been really cheated on like that publicly.
Speaker 2 (25:23):
In love with him, and we had four young kids
and I didn't want to put them through that.
Speaker 1 (25:31):
So what leverage do you have in someone changing if
they kind of know that you would never leave so
they could get away with it and do it? Like what?
Or is it like you did your husband feel humanly
bad that he hurt you or bad about himself or
whatever his reasons were, Like what what would be a
reason that a man you could get a man to
(25:53):
not do it again if you're not if they don't
think you're willing to walk. I'm just curious because I'm
thinking of like business deals, someone has to be willing
to walk to make a chane into the deal or whatever.
So it's a matter of the heart, right.
Speaker 2 (26:03):
I mean, I didn't tell him I'm not going to leave.
There were some mental health issues at the time that
he was dealing with that then made me feel like
I was in a place that I couldn't even bring
up the fact leaving because I need to take care
of his well being. Okay, So that's kind of put
things on hold, rightly or wrongly.
Speaker 1 (26:26):
No, I think different people have different reasons for infidelity.
It's not so black and white, right exactly.
Speaker 2 (26:31):
Yeah, But I do remember the day I found out
knowing that it was going to be public going to school.
It was our kids like Christmas like Winter Show, and
all the parents were there, and I remember thinking, oh
my gosh, they know who we are, and they think
we're this perfect family, right, that's what you know they
think in the press. They don't know us personally. We
(26:52):
had just started this school, and I was like, wow,
next week, like when we come back from Christmas break,
they're all going to know. And it was was that
state of embarrassment like.
Speaker 1 (27:02):
That's and and because you watch move we watch movies
about this, like shows about this and see however went.
Did you feel that people were like staring differently? Did
you feel that it was a big shift, really huge
and people.
Speaker 2 (27:14):
Wow, I made a lot of friends real fast on
the schoolyard. Everyone wanted to be like, I'm here for you,
do want to go have coffee?
Speaker 1 (27:24):
Oh yeah?
Speaker 2 (27:25):
A lot of people interesting on that bandwagon. I yeah,
that's fascinating. Yeah, that's interesting.
Speaker 1 (27:33):
Uh and also relatable. I'm sure a lot of people
will have experienced it, and you know, misery loves company.
It's making them feel better that you're going through something.
So that's very interesting. Okay, so that'll be That gives
me some perspective on Brandy and all that talking about
(27:56):
relationships Adrian and her husband. It's like, I see this
a lot people going on reality television right before they're
about to break up. It was Kelsey we talked about,
and Camille. I talked to you about Jules and her
husband Michael that were on New York Like it's a
little cringe and these two it's just you can't imagine
how people could speak that way to each other on camera,
(28:19):
but you kind of can because it just happens. The
game moves really quickly, so they just can't stand each other,
and it's like past bickering.
Speaker 2 (28:27):
The bickering was cute for a while, but this is, Yeah,
I feel like one of them, and I feel like
it was Paul was like, I want this skincare scene
in there.
Speaker 1 (28:40):
Oh well that was definitely a scene, one hundred percent,
But I feel it was hard too. But I feel
and we don't know who's who in the marriage and
who did what wrong or right or neither. She really
can't stand him, like he's trying. She literally is nauseated
by him. Right, That's what it seems like to me.
She married this guy and she does not respect him.
Speaker 2 (29:06):
But they were okay. I used to live in the
same apartment building as them.
Speaker 1 (29:10):
Oh right. It doesn't feel like they're okay. It feels
like they're okay. No, they're like not okay right now.
Even last time we watched the show. She seems like
he's a big baby for hitting his head like the
kid punted them in the note, Like she's just not
tolerating anything from him.
Speaker 2 (29:24):
To me, you feel like it's a lack of respect.
Speaker 1 (29:27):
I do, because she's the moneyed spouse at that point,
like she's the moneyed spouse, and I get it. And
she put him on the show, and he's all excited
about it, and that's probably turning her off, right, he's
a doctor and he's excited about the and she's probably
annoyed in our other lives about the fact that he's
like at this big show. She's probably over it now,
(29:48):
but it was probably annoying. I once there's somebody in
this mix, yeah, who I know people in this mix
and their husbands start to get the show in the
light and they really don't want that. And I understand
that it's annoying to bring someone in as your plus
one and have them jump in front of you and
(30:09):
and you're turned off. You're like, because then you don't
trust them. And it happens with other housewives. I've seen
it firstthand and it's crazy when the husband really wants
it and the husband doesn't want them to have it,
and the husband will go around the wife to get it.
Speaker 2 (30:24):
Oh my gosh. Has there been a case where the
husband has then went on to become star.
Speaker 1 (30:31):
There has there's been a case. There have been cases
where the husband's gotten his shine, and I'm sure the
wife just has to like accept it or get over it.
But initially it was a big pill to swallow, So
I'll leave that one there. Okay, okay, yeah, so uh so,
(30:52):
oh Camille and Brandy meat that Camille's house scene, token
scene to bond over.
Speaker 2 (30:59):
I mean, to people, I want to see in the
scene together.
Speaker 1 (31:02):
That's so interesting, so true, it's like a filler scene
about that topic. But how could you not put them
in a scene together when they're both actresses where the
husband cheated. No, they're sorry, they're both married to actors
who cheated on us.
Speaker 2 (31:16):
Then they should have done better in the scene.
Speaker 1 (31:18):
Then they should have done better, and they like it could.
Speaker 2 (31:20):
Have You're right, it could have been a great scene.
It just wasn't. It should have never been included.
Speaker 1 (31:23):
They should have scrapped and all makes some sense like
it just it's like, okay, but you're right, I remember
very little that scene. Here's what that scene was producers
convincing Camille to convince Brandy to meet the girl because
Brandy really doesn't want it. So that's saying we want
(31:44):
you to meet with her, and Camille is going to
convince her by saying like some bullshit, like it's either
giving you closure or whatever she said.
Speaker 2 (31:53):
Right, in a scripted show, you just don't do that.
You don't put two co stars basically in a scene
without one of the leads and give them they need
to convey to the audience.
Speaker 1 (32:02):
I love you right right now? You have two Yeah,
you don't have the A list. You don't have the
A players you need, like Lisa vander Pump and Kyle
in that scene talking to her or something. Yeah, you
don't have a you don't have a players. You're right,
You're right. She's right, ladies and gentlemen, and I like
the scripted analogy. God toys spelling makes me so happy. Okay,
(32:23):
let's let's just put a pin in this because we
have to do a part two. This is our first
ever Part two of Rewives. It's too good. It's too meaty.
The tea is still brewing and we haven't even been
able to spill it all. It's too good. This is
a rewives to be continued.
Speaker 2 (32:39):
I can't believe it.
