Speaker 1 (00:00):
What's going on? Everyone, It's Anissa Ferrera. Hey, friends and cousin,
it's me Davion Rogers and this is MTV's official Challenge podcast.
Oh that episode, I know. I love this one. The
trickery and the invasion of free thinkers. Yes, yes, it's
so good to finally watch the tables shake just a

(00:24):
little bit. Like you said, it's only two of them,
but they're trying to shake them. Okay, they trying to
their four legs on a table and two are coming off,
but will fall. Danny and Sarah having alsenda and they're
trying to get it done. I wouldn't be surprised if

(00:45):
in future episodes we see some other people getting on
that train. Yeah, I believe it. I kind of hope so,
because I want to see what it looks like to
play the game again, because people I'm playing for a
while and don't have, you know, the ability to kind
of like go astray because of the relationships they built.

(01:07):
These people don't give a shit, they don't owe you anything,
they don't know you at all, and they're going to
play their game. And then at any time, girl, oh girl,
I know what was that running chat? I would have
been in the back. We would have been out we

(01:29):
just watching it. Girl. I was like, maybe I would
have made the first run because I'm fast, y'all know
that I told you like little speeds. I could do
speedy stuff for you know, a couple of yards. But
that wall started coming down. I got nervous. You're reminded
me of Saw or like some weird hit closing on

(01:49):
you and you die. Yes. Yes, even when I think
when Jody got out her head it was smashing her head,
I freaked out because my leg is the door would
have come, the gate would have come unhinged, and that
would have been the end of me. My head would
have been on one side, my body on the other.

(02:11):
Social Media would have been like, uh, Anisa got another injury.
Anissa has no neck. I just had no head. But
she'll be back right. One thing he needs to gonna
do is get recovered and come back girl. Okay, period. Yes,
this was such such a great episode. I was excited

(02:33):
watching that conversation between Danny and Bananas, where you know,
Bananas was giving him the Bananas talk and Danny was like,
I really don't care about what you're talking about right now,
right with us, like it is what it is. We're
gonna do what we're gonna do. So if you get within,
get gone right. He did not care at all. He's like,
I care you are how many times you've won, But
I'm trying to win this show period, because too, I

(02:58):
feel like Johnny has a bit of that, like, I
don't care. I want to win this show as well
by any means necessary, and I'm gonna do what I
need to do and we'll talk about it later or whatever.
We won't but I'm gonna do whatever, talk about it later.
But that's fine because if I have five hundred thousand dollars,
we don't really need to talk about anything about nothing
unless you can point me into the direction of the
nearest bank. That's the only thing where can I make investments. Okay,

(03:24):
thank you. Yes, this was such a great episode and
I'm so excited that we get to talk about it today. Now,
before we even get into anything that's going on in
this episode, we have our segment of our king or
Queen of the world, and then we also have someone
who is on another planet. I need sometime. I'm gonna

(03:45):
go ahead and toss it to you, as I always
do that King or queen of the world in this episode.
You know what, I gotta give it to Zara. She
went hard and she's on the smaller side. I have
hung out with her in per and she packs a punch.
She has a little bite size ball of energy. But
she is a gazette. She was like a tiger. She

(04:07):
was out fearless, and she didn't give a shit. She
was like I so red. I was like, get it, Zara,
get it, Zaza. You little and she loves to run,
so like this was like her challenge and I love
that she got to shine in this movement. Yeah, I
thought it was I thought it was a good look
for her. Definitely a good look for her because you know,
Tory is big. You know Tory Tori stacked. She stacked. Yeah,

(04:30):
And so for Zara to be like it is what
it is like, I'm not worried. I don't stack all.
You won't, right, And Danny was like, I'm about to
crush all of y'all. Danny was like, move out of
the way because it was like it looked like the
walls got thinner. Yeah, everybody got in there and all
of a sudden, the walls started closing in and I
was like is anyone worried about like is it gonna

(04:52):
get smaller? Dying? Are we gonna die? I would have
had to say, I would have had to sign something
that when THEO was smashed up against the gate, that
would have been it for me. That I think it
was Justine maybe who said I've had nightmares about this,
grow me too, because what has happened and what was
the smoke idea for what was the reason? And I

(05:14):
thought I was like, oh my god, not tear gas.
Like I got triggered. I'm like this, this is too much.
This is a movie and I want to get out right.
You know what, Black people die first, like I have
been gone. I would have tripped and they would have
killed me. And by the looks of this challenge, I
would have let them. It's no struggle. We gotta do

(05:38):
nothing that I from. Go ahead and go no horror music, nothing,
just let me go. There's no surprise here. Bam, I'm dead.
But yes, on another planet. I don't even know if
I want to mention this person, but west these stories
that this man told this episode. I wanted to know

(06:01):
if he thought he was on the same planet as us,
because I felt like I was on a different one
watching it. These stories, these stories I've called that man
Rumple steal skin, and I'm gonna stick beside it. I'm
going to stick a man of a thousand tails. I
will say he does have the ability to persuade a

(06:21):
lot of people, but a lot of these people don't
give a shit. They were like, you know, as it's
quite the storyteller. I'm like, yeah, yeah, yeah, yes, it's
like ASoP tables, Yes, get him out of here. My

(06:46):
king Okay, so I have a king and a queen,
so my king of the world is TJ. I want
to give a shout out to our TJ for being
inducted in to the BMX Hall of Fame. Gratulation CJ
like if anybody deserved it, it's you. It's you. So

(07:08):
we're so, oh my goodness, and then say blood sweating
tears into something, blood sweating tears. Okay, just died and
the new came back to host Man Man, I'll never
forget that episode. I was watching it when he came out.
I was like, we were so emotional. I'm like, I've
never seen somebody have to learn how to walk and

(07:29):
talk and count and all of that shit again and
be like, you know what, I gotta go back to
host the challenge. The kids need me, and we did.
And then when he was giving his speech, he shouted
out the Childnge family. I thought that was so sweet
because he didn't have to do that. So I thought
that was so sweet. No, he could have been like,
shout out to myself for all of all periods that
I have done great in my life. Okay, she'll be back,

(07:52):
wife and my kid and my dogs like period. So
I want to give us who's the queen, the queen
of this episode, I'm gonna have to give it to Naya.
And I'm gonna have to give it to Naya. Because
opening up about yourself, especially being a person whose life

(08:12):
is being viewed on a microscope, us being in these
on these TV shows, people like dig and dig and
dig and always have something to say about us. So
to take a moment to be vulnerable and to tell
some truth about yourself, that's always something to be congratulated,
something to be recognized. And so thank you for being
you unapologetically and for sharing your story with us because

(08:34):
you didn't have to. So thank you for that, for
taking that time to just say this is something that
I experience, and if you're experiencing this too, this is
how you can get help. This is how you can overcome.
This is what I did. Like, you never know what
other people have going on. And I'm a firm believer
that you are a walking testimony. Your testimony is somebody
else's deliverance and you don't even know until you open

(08:55):
your mouth. And so thank you for the people that
you are going to help and not even know, like
I thought were so brave of her. Yeah, and she
also did it on Instagram. I reposted that and she
went into like a full on, like hour of a
deally detailed experience with it. Yeah, And it has to
be hard to want to say it because I feel
like people feel silly for even getting addicted to it

(09:16):
and that it got so far, but showing all of
those vulnerable parts and saying like hey, people, like I
know it seems safer than smoking, but like this shit
sucks too, and I really feared for my life, like
that's a serious thing. Yeah, and it was on the show. Yeah, yeah,
because I didn't. I'm gonna take care of my body now, right,
you know, stop being lazy and stop making excuses like

(09:39):
that was a very real moment because I mean, I
just I just love the woman that she's become. Yeah,
it's so good to see somebody's journey from beginning to well,
I'm not gonna say in because I'm sure this is
far from the infraence, right, but you know, just to
watch the journey of their reality TV life, you know,
And I just I I feel like this was very informative,

(10:01):
especially for me because, like I was saying earlier, I
didn't even know that people could get addicted to I
don't I'm not, you know, but I didn't know that
people could get addicted to that, And so her bringing
that up, you know, sparked my antennas and I was like, wow,
I had no clue. So I just it was a
really good moment. Thank you NIA for having that. On
another planet, Rumplestiltskin, I want to get there, you know.

(10:26):
And and you know what's so crazy, it's not just
us who think he's on another planet. Obviously the editors
do too, because they made that whole segment to show
you're not a here, You're not here, you can't be here,
There's no way you can be here like Mars Jupiter,
not that they can't even find that one anymore. You're

(10:46):
not here another planet that they've named. I don't know,
but yeah, it was a funny little montage. Definitely was
so yeah that that that's mine. But this episode, oh
and he said, you want to tell them about that?
What they have to look forward to next? In this
episode which part of our podcast, Sorry, we get to

(11:09):
actually speak to Naya about this episode, this elimination, her
partnership with Rodrigo, and what it was like going back
to the challenge after having a little break, you know.
And she has a super super busy life, flying everywhere
and cooking great things. So yeah, we have Naya up next,

(11:29):
So don't go anywhere. We'll be right back with our
interview with Naya's coming up next. You guys, I am
super excited about this interview. We are interviewing one of

(11:51):
my faves. I finally got a chance to meet her.
Please give it up, ladies and gentlemen, cousins and friends
and family for thee and I am more Yeah, thank you, lady,
thank you for having me. I am just like so
excited for this because for one, I love the podcast
and too, I just had no idea that my asked
to be back in the space to even be invited.

(12:13):
So I'm like all about that. Have fun with you guys.
We actually even talked about it earlier, like just the
gross yeah All Stars was the growth, but like there's
even more. It's like growth on growth, which is so
nice because I feel like we rarely see what's on
the other side of that, because they don't give everybody
that chance to then be like, hey, I was human

(12:36):
and I made a mistake and now not the same person,
and I think you are the epitome of just like
accountability and growth and just like that was then and
this is now, and we should be able to have
these moments where we allow space for people to change. Yeah, grow,
Yeah I am. I feel like that's the most important

(12:57):
part of whatever legacy I may have, is the redemption
story and just giving people grace, you know, Like I
feel like in the seven year Hiatus I had from
the show, I gave myself brace. I had to, and
the transformation I was able to make was just from
holding myself accountable and realizing I was the common denominator
in all of my problems and deciding, Okay, do I

(13:20):
want to be in denial about this and continue on
a path of burning bridges and self sabotage, or do
I want to like sit down, realize that I have
a problem, that everybody has problems, and do the work, Like,
do the fucking work. I mean therapy. It's one of
those things that I will always recommend because it really
just change the trajectory of my life. And I'm thankful

(13:45):
that MTV and that the network has decided to showcase
that because, like you said, Anissa, we don't always get
those like full circle redemption stories told on our behalf,
so I must never get the opportunities. I'm thankful that
I've had the opportunity and the growth is real. You
can't fake this ship like I period. You can't like
there's no way that I could be faking it, you know, um,

(14:06):
because of just who I was at once upon a
time in this I was a wild banshee and you
can't tell me different. You know, I couldn't tell nice
ship and then she would read you for filth. And
now I feel like you take those moments to be like,
this isn't a battle that I know they don't want,
but I am incapable of actually producing at this point
like this isn't going to serve me. Yeah, so these

(14:29):
days I'm walking away for the both of us, right right, right?
And the self sabotage thing was real too, Like it
was emotional for me to watch all this because I
was like, you recognize behaviors in yourself too, you know,
as much as we want to be, you know, these
great characters not you know, be our truest selves. Like
there are these moments where we're like, yeah, I really

(14:50):
mess that up for me, Yeah, I knew there was
nobody else. There's not one person to blame. So yeah,
that resonated with me. It's inspiring actually, because it's very
easy to say this person did this, this person did that.
But to actually stand in the mirror and point the
finger at yourself and be like, yeah, however, you let's
do it's a whole different ball game, right, And so

(15:13):
it's very encouraging and it's inspiring, and I hope that
motivates other people to do the same because I had
to do it too when I because in my mind
it was everybody wrong and that's why you acting like
you acted. But a lot of reunions with Dave von
popping off a little bit right. It was wrong as hell,
like you were right with something wrong. Yes, so I

(15:39):
want to dive into this episode, but we cannot get
this episode going without hitting that rewind button. I have
to know what are your thoughts. You're a point of
view on the Killian and john a situation just this yesterday,
because mind you so listen, I'll be sleeper on the

(16:00):
same floor me and those girls are working together. I'm
thinking everything is kosher between us, all of us. But
I started realizing very quickly that wait a minute, John
Aye and Kelley Anne got some lingering little aftertaste from
whatever happened on All Stars three or All Stars too.
I don't know there was like this thing going on,
but I just try to stay out of it because
one of the one areas where I used to fuck

(16:21):
up on the challenge was I was trying to fight
up people's battles. Oh, so you know what I said,
I have to remove myself from this. I can't allow
you to like dump all of this gossip and shit
on my lap when Johnny is an earshot and it's
not my battle. So I just kind of avoided it,
like anytime she would come up to me and like

(16:41):
I want to talk about it. I would act like
I had to go take a shit or something, or
like yeah, I was just trying to get out. I'm like,
I don't want to be in the middle of this.
This isn't my battle, and I'm already got my work
cut out for me. My partner is holding the back
of his leg every time we do anything. I am
not physically prepared for this challenge, so I'm trying to
just not put a target on our back and just

(17:01):
stay out the drama. And it was just really awkward,
and then seeing it play back on the show, I
didn't know that they were having those in depth conversations
at all, and like, I didn't know that there were
things that, you know, Kelly Ynne felt reassured that, like
there's no way Johnny's gonna say my name. I didn't
know that that was the case, because at the end
of the day, yeah, like we're all just trying to

(17:23):
get the same bag of money out of each other's hand.
So at some point you are going to upset your
friend right here, You're gonna do it in the beginning,
a you're gonna do it in the end, which one's
gonna sting more, I don't know, but like it's just
an inevitable part of the game, and so I just
try not to get emotionally invested in it. Like I
prepared myself for Jordan might have to say my name
just going to the game, thinking that may happen, so
that you're not like, yeah, what you did that? But

(17:46):
Jordan's so honest, Like that's a whole other right, But
I just prepared myself for a worst case scenario. Already,
get your emotions in check, right, And so with Kelly
Anne and John Nay, I wasn't privy to if Johnny
actually said, Hey, I'm not saying your name, And depending
on how you translate their conversations, it's like they like
John Ay was kind of skating around certain words and

(18:08):
promises and then yeah, Dan seemed to be trying to
get her to verbally acknowledge it on camera something. And
I just think that what they weren't meeting having a
meeting of minds of that, and obviously the one wanted
to do with the other one, like one didn't want
to hear it and the other one didn't want to
say it, and that's what it came to which I
think it's hard to hurt your friend's feelings when your

(18:29):
agendas don't line up in a game to win money.
So exactly, it's just a complicated, unnatural situation where in
any other case this would not be happening. And you
know what, I also think, like I adore John Nay,
I think that maybe she was also being trying to
be considered of what her partner would want, and then

(18:49):
she was also listening to her advisors to you know,
I was going to west for like, oh that's who
the advisor is. Well, we listened. You know, I'm a
big fan of Weston Bergman, Hey, like that is my guy.
I know his reputation, I know that he is an assassin,
but I just trust his advice because I feel like
he thinks that I'm just not a factor. So it's

(19:11):
like I'm in a good spot where people are just
aren't like true truly evil. Okay, I get I get
what you're yeah. Yeah, So but to your point with
the Kelly and john A thing, it was really uncomfortable
to watch it back and to see all the details
of that because I adored them both and I hated
that they were even in that space from day one,
and people were watching, people were watching that beef brow

(19:32):
and it just it was like not good for business,
right right. I would have loved to be a fly
on the wall on the ride back from the elimination.
Was there any tension or anything that that happened or
was it like this weird awkward silence? I mean it
usually is when the person you didn't want to come
back in the house comes back, right, So it was

(19:54):
definitely an awkward energy in the house. And then you know,
Kelly An was turned up when she walked in, like
you know, she was like y'all, like you know what
I mean, Like she already knew the time what she
knew that there was a But that's what it is though.
That's how you come back after you get voted in
and you're like, oh huh, yeah, I'm help and then

(20:15):
everyone's like trying to help you with your bags and shit,
I'm like, you didn't care before, but do we not live?
L is like has the boss to really say a
little shit like that, and to like Ma's always always
been like that, She'll just turn over and be like
a niece. So you're really voting that way. I thought
we talked about something different. I'm like, like, when she said,

(20:35):
you know, I can tell that you guys are clearly
trying to keep all the good teams here, or so
she said something, and then everybody she was like, So
I don't know, like maybe you guys want all the
good teams here at the end, but like, I don't,
like I live for that moment. But I feel like
she was seen as a threat too. In my opinion,
that's how Johnny kind of made it seemed like her

(20:55):
and Jody like I don't want either one of them,
And to be honest, I don't want to run against
them in the final either, unless it's all puzzles and
and other things. Yeah, but it's just no. But there
are a lot of women there that are really really strong. Yeah,
so it's a stack because everybody's good, you know, and
I don't think we've seen everyone's strengths yet. You know,

(21:18):
we're not we're not even in there yet. Yeah. Yeah, Now,
how do you feel about your partner? Not present day,
but let's rewind to the moment he picked you. What
was that moment? Like, So I was thrilled to be
his partner because he and I had so much in common,
even though there was a language barrier, Like I knew
a little umbequito Espanio, so okay, I was in my

(21:39):
bilingual bag. And then he's a chef. I'm a cook
who wants her on TV show? So I was like,
I love this. I love that, Like he and I
both love food and cuisine and travel and all that stuff.
And he just his energy was so infectious. I mean
I was making for tatas and pinnacleladas and like cooking
up all of this amazing food with like the groceries

(22:00):
that the caterer is relieving, and he's just in am
He had such an amazing energy about him. Um that
I immediately felt like with all the Argentina's, I was like,
I want to connect with these people after the show,
Like facts, I for sure we'll see them again. That
comes through. I felt like Team Argentina was just all
the good vibes and the music and the love and

(22:22):
the culture and fun. And I was like I would
hang out with him, you know who was honestly like,
I see why she's such a starlet in Argentina. WHOI
she pitome of fun. I guess all she gonna do yeah,
I love her. She looks like so much fun. And
Claudia was these two like you gotta think Claudia was

(22:42):
forty five and she was killing challenge Argentina. Yes, mama, yeah,
but she has kids, like she is a she's stat
she's strong, she's fast, Like I was just so inspired
by her and she's like such a she's beautiful too.
I was like, okay, six, Yeah, I love when they're
around my age where I'm like seeing it can be done. Yeah,

(23:06):
at this point in the house, going into your episode,
at this point in the house, there's a clear division
to us viewers. You know, I don't know if it
was that way in the house. Was it that way
in the house. Could you guys feel that there was
a division happening, especially with the US team being on
the verge of complete chaos from how how was from
my point of view, there was divisions happening within same

(23:26):
countries like it was shit going on, Like okay, you
haven't even seen in this episode yet or they haven't
really cast a lens on it, but like there was
little micro beefs in the Australians amongst themselves, there was
little microbefs. So Team Australia or or the Australians themselves.
Australians confused because that also like even though you're on

(23:49):
their team, like you're all Team Australia, within Team Australia
is also the Australians that came in together then may
have their own ideas about how they wanted. Yes that
I was observing peeping tea from like every room and
there was these little things that were going on where
I was like, oh my god, I thought this game
was all like you know, Kumbaya. Still it is not
even you haven't even been here five minutes and it's
not like I just come on. This is Sarah was

(24:12):
like nope. The first episode, Sarah was like I'm about
to round up everybody. We're gonna get whoever. And then
this episode her and Danny are like, we hate every
single thing. We're gonna let you guys know, we're not
playing your game. Danny is like I want him to
run for president. Like Danny is that dude. I'm telling
you he is the realist I have like le Roy

(24:36):
Nia Maya, it's some real ones in this little family.
And Danny, oh my god, like I love this man.
He is like listen. He never came out of his
room unless it was to eat. He wasn't key kid
with nobody. He was about his business. If he went
on that treadmill, he was. He was on his own
with his people. He was not there for the bullshit
and the and the phony Balonni stuff. He let it
be known, and I just loved that about him. He

(24:58):
also made it clear like jump here for this bag,
and if y'all not, then get out of my way.
That's it. And yeah, why are you throwing other people
like like when he's talking to Tori, like just throw
Jordan in. You're my partner. What about that? Yeah? That
was That was the one riff that was like, oh shit,

(25:20):
because here's what we know. This is not just Jordan's
ex girlfriend Tory. This is his ex fiance. This is
the most recent love of his life. She also has
a sincere deep loyalty to him. So Danny is fucking
powerless in the situation like this. It doesn't even matter
that she is her fate in the game. It is

(25:40):
I'm more reliant on, more more influential on that aspect.
She's so indebted to Jordan that there's nothing I can
do and I'm just gonna have to like rally up
votes from other people in the house to get Jordan
out because I can. What we do know is that
Tory is going to protect him, which of course she is,
like duh um, I totally understand it, but it just

(26:03):
was crazy because Danny was like, let's get the strong
players out, and Tori He's like, yeah, and that's not
happening on my watch, and I'm not letting. Yeah, if
you're a guy, you don't want to run a final
against Jordan, but if he's winning challenges and you're a
part of his alliance, you kind of want him around
to protect you. Like it's it's so tangled, all of it.
It's hard to like move one piece without moving six others. Yeah,

(26:26):
Danny made a statement where he said that Tory it
has an allegiance to um Jordan above anybody else, Like
that's the end all be all, it is what it is.
I wanted to know because I know you're really close
with Jordan. Is it the same way for him in
regards to Tori. I mean, I would like Jordan. He
plays the game so straight up and he is not

(26:49):
like if Tori were to say I can't fulfill that
promise anymore or that expectation. He would not be but
heard about it. But I think that he would look
out for her as long as he could. But at
the same time, he would always consider his game and
always consider his partner's best interest because they are attached
to each other and Jordan is there to win at
the end of the day. Like, I don't think he

(27:11):
would hand it back to Tori if he had the
choice too. I think he's of course going to try
and go get it um. But I think that they
just would always consider each other. That's the nature of
I mean, their relationship was at the highest level, Like
I mean they were going to do life together. Yeah,
but that love is never going to be lost. And
it's almost like they're just a divorced couple. Like you know,

(27:36):
hold on, hold on to your teacups because the tea
is still coming. But before we go any further, we
need to take a quick break. We'll be right back
after this. I want to figure this out daily challenge.

(28:01):
I miss Okay. It was like worst years of Saw
come to life. It was like walls closing, gate shuttings.
I would have just sat and been like for my
own personal body. I want to protect it. How did
you feel? Oh god, you know. Let me just preface

(28:23):
this by saying, you know, when I started doing this,
I was twenty three. I'm thirty four now. My health
insurance is very mediocre, like grobb you having to pay
out a pocket for a lot of shit. So like
anything that's going to become physical where I could potentially
get my teeth knocked out or trip and fall, Like,
I was just like, let me just try to stand
behind the girls because I can already tell the guys
are gonna get dirty fast and I'm not trying to
take an elbow to my nose. So I was kind

(28:47):
of like hanging out in the back and I was like,
hopefully I'll be able to, like with my long legs.
Well that's what I thought. I was like, I hopefully
I'll be able to like catch up. Girl. Let me
tell you something, these little girls are so fucking fast.
They are smoking shit out of me. And there's not
even a chance in hell that like I'm even coming close.
Like Zara, she is so fast one hand, but I'm

(29:07):
telling you right now, like she she could probably body slammy,
like she is so strong even though she's like, what
maybe a hundred pounds. She's so strong, she's so fast,
she's so agile. I've never seen any shit like it,
because when I met her she was so dolled up.
I just didn't think she was about that life for real.
And I got I felt about that. All of them has,

(29:30):
all of those girls are so fierce, and it's just
like I was. I was in for a rude awakening,
like real quick. Wow. So how did Rodrigo get hurt?
The fact that he even tried to do it, Yeah,
that says a lot about his heart. Yeah, he was
willing to fight through the pain. He was like, Naya,
I don't care, Like I can you know, rest when
I go home. He's like, I'm gonna give you my best.
And it's just the fact that he was so noble

(29:52):
about that and willing to sacrifice his body um for
us in the game. To me, it just says everything
about him. But I was just also glad that even
you know, even though we had to leave the game early,
I really didn't want to see him suffering like that.
It was hard to watch dude, Like you didn't really
see it any episode, but like he was grimacing so
bad that people were turning and like to look away.
Oh so yeah, And of course it's like some slippery

(30:16):
rope rammil sand ship. You could just bust your ass
at any point. So it's never like something sweet, right,
It's not like you get to play catch, right, That's
what we needed to sit down, duck duck goose. Yeah. Wow.
So when it comes to Arrigo, how strong do you

(30:38):
think in the time that you guys were there, that
you your bond was because we saw you cry and
you really loved on him. And at the end of
this elimination, how tight was the bond between you two
and how did it come about? How did you guys
you know what. So at the time when he picked me,
we hadn't had much conversation. I had spoken more to
the Argentina and girls, and I was in a room upstairs,

(31:00):
so at that point I was kind of intermingling with
those people. And so it wasn't until the first challenge
where I'm like, wait a minute, I need to get
to know my partner. I need to like really start,
you know, connecting with him, especially because there is a
language barrier. But like, I wasn't necessarily intimidated by that
because I knew I knew a little bit of Spanish,
but I learned about him through other people in the

(31:21):
house saying night, you know how dope your partner is,
or like, do you know that he's also like a
chef and he has his own cooking show and like
everybody knows that, like food is like a huge part
of my life and cooking and all that stuff. And
I was just so excited to learn this stuff about
him that I didn't have in our initial conversation. So
we bonded really quickly. And then also I think we
bonded over just like I could see that he was

(31:43):
willing to give me one hundred and ten percent despite
his injury to me, I felt like I needed to
rise to the occasion for him too, yea. And so
because of that, and you know, we really wanted to
like take the target off the Argentina's back. Our whole
objective was to was to go against a team that
wasn't wearing the same jersey as us, And then when

(32:04):
that came into play, I was like, listen, we're gonna
give it. Are all are all, But I just realistically
was like the stronger Argentina and team needs to stay
in the game and Audrey, I mean, of course we
try to win. I mean we barely lost, um, right,
but I was relieved once, you know, we did lose,
because I felt like it's just not fair to him,
like he needs to go home and heal, like like

(32:25):
it wasn't worth it, he wasn't gonna make it to
a final anyway like that. So um, I was just like,
you know what, Jodian Binha, I'm glad that they get
to stay and live and fight another day. And Jody's
a beast. I'm obsessed, so I want to I love
ben Ha and I haven't even met him. He is,
you know what he is? I really I feel like
we would have been friends. He's he long went into Yeah,

(32:48):
we love it. He's like the start you off with
a meditation of gratitude and then he's gonna tell me why,
like we should all be thankful, and then but I
love him like I love and especially when you have
nothing else to do in that house. Come on, ben huh,
give me some daily affirmations. Yeah, get me up, follow

(33:10):
each other on Instagram, send the vibes. I want to
get into this. I want to get into the elimination.
But before we do, I want to get into this bravery,
this courageous conversation that you have with Jordan on camera
about your journey. Um, I'm trying to be very sensitive
about it because I don't you educated me. I didn't

(33:30):
know anything about it. I didn't know that people could
get addicted to vaping. I had no clue, and I
was telling a Nissa that and I wasn't gonna say it,
but I'm gonna say it anyway, because you know you
I'm sharing, right, my brother, I noticed that he's always vaping,
and in my mind, I'm like, well, at least he
ain't smoking a cigarette. That's what I'm thinking. The whole time.

(33:52):
I'm not realizing that it's a hand in hand type
of situation. So can you elaborate on that as far
as your journey of overcoming it and what it is
to our listeners so that they can understand it. Yeah.
So I was vaping for two years, and Anissa knows
back in the like, in my twenties, my whole twenties,
I smoked cigarettes, and so when I started vaping, I

(34:14):
was like, oh my god, I am in a way
better situation by doing this and not smoking cigarettes. And
what I have learned in the last two years since
my health scare is really terrifying because honestly, I mean,
you shouldn't be smoking anything, Like smoking smoking anything is
going to kill you. But the vaping what they are
learning and discovering about it because it was so much unknown,

(34:36):
It's like, the shit is bad. It is so bad
that like the doctors that I've seen are really scared.
They are really scared. They're like, what is what is happening?
And the rate at which is happening with these vapor
related health issues sudden death of development of diseases is
like I mean, they're like I would I would tell

(34:58):
no one to smoke cigarettes, but do not evade because
the mechanisms. So here's what in short, what vaping is
is like it's two pieces of metal that are burning together,
because it's not using a flame like a cigarette, you know,
using fire to create smoke and whatever. It's burning two
pieces of metal together. And then it's using whatever is
the liquid that you're inhaling, whether it's nicotine, whether it's

(35:19):
weed oil or it's whatever. Those vapors that oil all
goes into your lungs and it sticks to your lungs
and it doesn't actually ever exit. And so if you
don't know, like in vapes, one of the most consistent
ingredients is formaldehyde. That's what they put in bodies when
they prepare them to go in the ground. Like, under
no circumstances should a living, breathing human being be inhaling

(35:42):
that and that is what like a bath majority Huh yes, baby,
that's crazy. Yeah. So because of that, like I learned
all this after I developed the blood clots of my
lungs that I mean, mine were small, and my cardiologist said, yeah,
these could have been fatal if you would have gone
on right or die. I was like, ain't no telling
what could have happened you, let alone, like you travel

(36:03):
so much and you're always in the air, and you know,
blood clots are really dangerous to have when you fly
a lot. Yeah, and so it was just a reckoning,
you know, point for me where I was like, holy
showing man. I was in the hospital in Italy thinking
that I was going to take my last breath, and
the two things that I thought about was what is
the headline going to say. It's gonna say Niam More

(36:25):
Reality star dead at thirty four studding cardiac arrest or
whatever they would have you know, said my cause of
death was and you know what, people would have thought,
she must have been on some hard some power. Because
I myself, nobody knew I was vaping. I was a
closet vapor unless you were in my inner circle. I
was sneaking the ship everywhere, and so like I even

(36:47):
when I was talking to Leroy, I was like telling him,
I was like, even at your baby shower, I was like,
you know how I kept disappearing and going off and
like ducking off And He's like no, and I was like, yeah,
that's what I was doing because I was. I was
just so obsessed with it. But I didn't want the judgment.
I didn't want people to know that I have yes.
And so my thing is now that I you know,

(37:08):
my life was spared. I completely quit. I've chosen a
healthier path in life. But I remember saying, God, if
you give me out of this, I will not keep this,
will not be in vain. I will warn as many
people as possible, especially because I know that vaping is
marketed to young people. I mean, when you look in
at the shop, it looks like a candy store. It's

(37:29):
insane and all the flavors and whatever. Like even as
somebody who smoked for so long, I could never get
into vapes. But I realized, like, once I quit smoking cigarettes,
there was so much shame, even if I had like
a dress. I feel like this shame carries over. So
if you do switch to vaping, and it's like still
that kind of same shame. Like if I would smoke,
I'd have to work gloves, I bring other pairs of clothes. Like,

(37:50):
there was so much shit. So now it's like, yeah,
if I drink, like maybe I'll have one, babe. Yeah.
But the vaping part was never a god because it
just then perpetuated the whole let's let's smoke and have
more nicotine in our body. And I was like, well,
if we could smoke, it wasn't that part of the
reason why, Yeah, we did it. So it's almost counterintuitive,

(38:12):
but I think because it's socially acceptable and that looks
better if that smells better. But the fact that you
can it makes it worse for my friends that fall asleep,
but yeah, they hit it the first thing when they
wake up, they have it at the dinner table. I'm
like We're at dinner out and they're like, and it's
scary because I'm like, you never smoked cigarettes that much? Right, right? Yeah?

(38:38):
The vaping was for me. It was twenty four seven.
I had them. You know, I were like the little braids.
I would always have one in my braids, in my
bra I had one in each purse. Like even when
production was like, you know, going through our stuff, I know,
they were like, holy shit, girl, like what are you
preparing to like smoke your life away on the challenge?
Like what are you doing? Wow? This is I'm talking
about on All Stars? I was still vapor. Yeah. So

(39:00):
when writer or eyes rolled around, I was knee deep
in my addiction. And you couldn't have told me that
I was addicted because I was like, oh, I can
quit at any point. I was never going to quit
until I had that health scare and until I was hospitalized.
I was never going to quit. I know. I was
a slave to it. So I sympathized so much with
people who've reached out to me recently saying how do

(39:20):
I quit? How do I quit? How did you do it?
And my thing is, it's like, you don't ever want
to be in that situation where you're thinking you're about
to take your last breath. But that's what it took
for me. But I would hope that she would just
find the courage to fight the good fight for yourselves
and know that it's just like life is worth living,
and like that shit is going to take you out
if you continue with it. It's just inevitable. Maybe sooner,

(39:42):
maybe later, but that shit will kill you. It's just
that simple. I can't like sugarcoat it. Based on the
information that I've received. I am such a firm believer
that a person's testimony is attached to somebody else's deliverance,
and so I'm forever are grateful, even in my personal life.
I can share this information with my brother because you

(40:05):
decided to be vulnerable, you know what I mean. So
I thank you for that. And I pray that this
touches many people, our listeners and whoever else, and they
spray it to somebody else and whoever needs to hear it,
and they seek help, and you know, and then also
if there is anybody out there that is dealing with
this or know somebody who is, I am going to
be using my platform to talk about this anti bathing um,

(40:27):
journey and listing resources on how to quit, and I'm
doing a live soon with a clinic that I've partnered with.
So if you just go to my page, I'm going
to start posting more stuff. Um, and then also just
message me like you need to make courage and you
need to know that there's somebody on the sideline cheering
for you, like one day at a time of noting
and then eventually you know you it's a month and

(40:48):
then it's two months, and um, I want to be
a support system for as many people as possible too.
That that. So now, girl, lets getting to this someone
ation because you had to push through, Mama, you had
to push through. Okay, So first of all, walk us

(41:10):
through it. Walk us through it step by step. I
almost like you're in your confessional, girl, give us the
play by play. Okay. So when I eyeballed this elimination,
I'm like, oh, we could do this. The ramp, I
mean it looked high, but not that high. It looked
you knew it was steep, but I was like, I
was just eyeballing in and I was pretty confident. I'm like,
oh wait, we got this. And I didn't think the

(41:31):
buckets of oil were gonna be that heavy. So here's
the thing. Y'all know, I have just came out of
the hiatus. I just started playing the game again. So like,
my level of workout intensity really ain't what it should be.
And I know that, and so coming into this, all
I did was run. I didn't do no kind of
pulling my own upper body, made my own body way like.
I didn't prepare, I didn't lift weights. I didn't do

(41:52):
anything that I should have been doing. And it showed
immediately in this elimination. You were like, I'm gonna I
didn't think I was gonna have to this rope. I'm
gonna this rope. Let me tell you how. And he said,
this is how delusional I was. I thought I didn't
even need the rope. I thought I was just gonna yeah, yeah,
I decided to use the rope. I'm like, bitch, why

(42:15):
wouldn't you It's there now, I got these legs. I
was like, I'm just gonna climb up. I'm a spider. No,
you're not delusion, Like I got gagged immediately on the
first go up. I was like, oh my god, because
how many of these are we gonna have to do?
And By the time the third time that I had
climbed the rope, my arms were done. I'm not kidding.

(42:37):
I'm not even gonna like, I'm not gonna sit here
and lie and pretend like I got up that thing
five times, like they made him look like no, I
gotta think. But then Rogerie one leg, listen, port my baby.
Rogerie with his one leg, had to do all of
the transfers. So I'm I'm only carrying the buckets up
halfway because my arms are shaking like noodles, like I'm

(42:59):
really trying, but like I guess I didn't spill so
much oil in this ramp, and roder is happy to
literally climb up this thing and transfer the buckets because
I can't reach the top. I was so embarrassed. It
was one of those eliminations where it's like I'm usually
really good at these, but I was like this bell ring,
like I am so embarrassed. How heavy over how heavy

(43:21):
were the buckets? They were heavy, girl, I mean. And
the thing is, I've seen um Jody going up a
couple of times, but it was getting heavy for her too,
And you know, uh Ben, I was doing most of
the transfers towards the top. Um, but no, I mean
Johnny Jody still was going to way more times than me.
I mean she she embarrassed me too. Um the buckets

(43:42):
of oil, Like I'm telling you that the oil looks
so thin that you wouldn't think it was heavy, but
it was. And it was heavier than water obviously, but
like yeah, like and then once you spilled any oil
on that ramp, it was kind of a rap, Like
it was hard to get past it because it was
just so slippery. But yeah, so like I mean I knew,

(44:04):
I I know I stunked it up, and I knew
that I lost that from my team, just like I
had lost the um the little haul brawl that we
had to do. But I was just really relieved that
my partner didn't have to suffer anymore because he was
really and I'm just thankful that I got invited and
was called a legend in the first place, and invited
to compete against you know, some real stellar players. You know.

(44:26):
So I felt like, you know, where I exited was
probably appropriate. I said, I'm gonna get back in the gym.
I'm gonna prepare more time. But yeah, also, so that's
an I'll be back, so you'll be back. Oh. I mean,
I am like, I'm enjoying being back in this thing.

(44:46):
And I remember once upon a time I said I
was never gonna do it, so stop asking you on Twitter.
And it's like so hilarious that, like, don't ever say never,
because God is like, oh for real, we'll see about that.
Watch this. I do enjoy your life. And you're just
jet setting and eating all of these amazing things. And
I'm like, was that s Cargo? Like what else is
she having today? And You're like it's my birthday And

(45:07):
I said, I'm like, well that looks better than the challenge. Yeah.
I do love my job. Um. I have a like
being in corporate flight attendant is just like such a
treat because I essentially get paid to take people on
their vacations and then get paid to sit there and
then they pay for everything. It's like, come on, man, like,
is anyone single me? No? What anyone else may you

(45:30):
work with? Or four? Oh yeah, it's a lot of
the clients, honey, the clients, a lot of the you know,
like there's a so as your second flight attendant, the
friendly skies, I'll just pop out and be like, hey, y'all,
you just gotta you gotta pull up at one of
my layovers grow because you know I'd be in the streets.

(45:52):
I am real mixing on my LAO. You be everywhere.
I know, I thought she was just in the sky.
They were like, no, that's she's we were DM and
you were like, oh yeah, but I'm I'm in la
And I was like you were just are you sure?
Because you're everywhere? So I think that is so dope.
I'm so excited that you came here and you hung

(46:14):
out with us. Has been such a treat. Before you
get out of here, I do want to know what
are your socials? Where can the people find you? And
once again, can you please plug those resources on vaping
for our listeners and for us so we can all
be informed. So my socials are all the same, the
real Niamore and I am going to be partnering with

(46:34):
truth dot Com and the Wheeler. Oh yeah, so you know,
we really I really want to put together some sort
of initiative that is actually useful and helpful um with
people who you know desire to quit but maybe don't
know how, and just developing a community for that. So
that is something that people can look out for this
year as well. I think that's going to help a

(46:57):
lot of smokers period now people think people all around
so well, thank you so much. Thank you for coming
hopefully again one day. Yes, I already pull each other
up a slanted thing oil show. Let me just you know,
I'm I'm gon when we get off the phone, I'm
gonna work on my on my pull ups. Yeah, me too,

(47:23):
I'm not. I'm about to pull up to the shower
when we're done there about it. I'm about to pull
up to a restaurant. All right. Well, thank you Nya,
of course. Thank you guys so much. And if you
