Speaker 1 (00:00):
We are so back. We're the most back we've ever been.
Is that how it goes? Are you trying to um
mimic my best Monday Friday co host ever? Listen? I
think I think you and John did a phenomenal job
holding down My Day Friday last week. And I just
want to make sure that I can like do the

(00:23):
things John does, you know, because I don't want to
get replaced yet. I definitely want to get replaced at
some point, just just not yet. I mean, you gotta
get like a bunch of roommates and you gotta be
like yo, bro, John's basically living the life that I
lived like eight years ago. It's kind of crazy, but
he has way more energy than I think you've ever had.
He does he Well, here's the crazy thing, And this

(00:44):
is one of the reasons I've always been very I
don't want to call it self conscious, but just conscious
of the way that I speak on the radio and
the way that anyone speaks generally on the radio is
a little different than their regular tone. And it's because
in high school, even though I was one of like
my crazier friends in terms of like, um, just stupid

(01:06):
high school antics. If you will, like I'd be the
one dancing through them all doing weird things in public places.
My speaking voice can sometimes be very dull, especially when
I'm on the phone. My friend Adam, who now actually
lives out in Washington, every time I used to call him,
he would have been like, dude, are you dead? But
what's wrong with you? I thought, John on the phone,

(01:27):
it's like a blast exactly, I don't have. John has
a much more exciting voice a cartoon character. Just realized
the intro. But John, he sounds like a cartoon character.
He does. Let's say the intro first, so then we
can talk about other things. Here we go, and you
are listening to column Marie and Anthony. It's My Day Friday.

(01:48):
Hey there, it's Hillary Duff and you're listening to My
Day Friday. I'm thinking out with Anthony and my new
best girlfriend Carl Marie. Is my Day Friday? Bitch. Let's
get every gag you girls little mix Hillary Duff in
their cars favorite. Okay, so back to well. Also, this

(02:11):
is exciting to no one but Carl, Marie and I.
We are using our new microphones on this podcast simultaneously
for the first time. They're very buttery I'm a fan.
I'm a fan of these microphones. They don't do well
for my what is that called it? When you're like haphazard,
I can move around a lot idiocy. I think that's
the worst. I got a holder close to my mouth. No,

(02:33):
it doesn't have to be that close. That's the best part.
But I don't hear. Then I got to go to
get a hearing test. Well, you're you're also wearing oh
free headphones that I got from a Samsung phone five
years ago. You know, I was talking to my mom
about me being a kid because I used to get
ear infections all the time. Because my great nephew has
an ear infection. Did you ever call them ear infections?

(02:54):
That's what I used to do, and that just it
makes me laugh every time I hear it. Um So
I set your infections all the time. And I guess
when I was a kid, someone said to her, you're
not going to get her up the tubes in her
ear and my mom was like no, and like, we
never did it, And I said, are you fucking kidding me?
I said, that's why I can't sing. I'm I don't

(03:18):
know if the tubes not being in your ear is
the reason you can't sing because the interesting thing with you,
Carla Marie, when you sing, yeah, the tone is off
a little bit, but it's it's like you can't keep
up with the song, or but you're basically listening to
a different song. It's like my brain is just too

(03:39):
fast for everybody. Oh, is that it? You're not talking
too fast, we're just listening slow. I get it. That
makes sense in a weird, weird world. But yeah, these
are new microphones. I'm very excited and they're shore. It's funny.
I was. I posted on my Instagram Thursday night on
my story, what are some things that you don't like

(04:00):
about regular radio stations or shows? Because Carla Marie and
I are working on some new plans hope. We wanted
it to in September, it's probably end up being October um,
partly because we procrastinate other parts because we're perfectionists. It's
a bad combination. It really is a bad combination. But

(04:23):
it's impressive that we've done anything. The one of the
comments I got back, and I've been talking with a
couple of people who have responded, and a lot of
people who have listened to our radio show, not just
through Elvis or not just through Twitter YouTube have said
that they don't find the camaraderie or or genuine relationship

(04:44):
between hosts or listeners anymore on the radio. And I'm
getting to a point here, so give me a saying
I can't wait. And one of the people came back
and responded and said some really complimentary things, mainly of me,
a little bit about you, Carl the Marie and said,
just don't change. You guys are great the way you are. Um,
I love listening on Twitch and you don't even have
to do anything new. And I was like, you know,

(05:05):
it's interesting because I think and I think you're kind
of engineered the same way Carl Maurie. Just because something
is going well doesn't mean we are content and don't
want to do things a little bit different or a
little bit better. And something as simple as getting these microphones,
like the other microphones were used. We're fine, but we

(05:28):
keep looking for different ways to improve. Some of them
are super nuanced and small, and some of them could
be huge. It's just having your tentacles and different things.
How many tentacles do you have? You have eight tentacles.
I feel like we should have tent tentacles. No, okay,
so doesn't tentacles make sense for me? Soap, But it's
stupid dad jokes. It's like, we got more cats and

(05:49):
you've got worse. If you're gonna be a crazy cat lady,
I'm going full dad mode, full dad. So there is
um a line of do a lot, and I feel
like I've been preaching this across every podcast I've been
on over the last year. But it's yeah, do more,

(06:10):
like do just because we do twitch like you just said,
it doesn't mean we can't do other things, and we
want to do other things. But there is an extent
to which I will do other things, Like I'm not
going to spread myself thin anymore, and I will say
no to things even if they are great, because I
want to have And even this next thing that we're

(06:32):
thinking of doing is going to take a decent amount
of our time. But we're gonna have to rework our schedules,
which mr five hour gym days. Yeah, we're gonna have
to change. I'm not changing that part of my day.
I literally literally change. I'll take every social media app
off my phone. That's the problem, honestly. Um. Yeah, because

(06:52):
the other day I was gonna go to the gym,
and I ended up on Instagram reels for like, well,
I can't unless you give me the keys keys to
what your social media. I have too many I got
too many smokes in my d M is trying to
hit me up, you know. So it's funny you bring
up that word smokes. It was a conversation on Bachelor
in Paradise this week and they were talking about this

(07:13):
guy I wish you watch because there are two guys,
Chasing and um, Chris. I'm not a fan of Bachelor
in Paradise. Bizarre. I actually love it more than Bachelor,
and I never have That's what my friends said. It's wild.
So Chasing and Chris show up and they're like, yo,
it's a smoke bros. Looking for some smoke shows. And
they one of the girls like, oh, I remember that guy.
He called Tasha smoke and everyone was all piste off

(07:37):
and she said, and I was thinking, every girl just
want to be called smoke? Yes, I thought that is
that not a term for people who are like, what
the hell is a smoke? What does that mean? Is
it derogatory? Is a complimentary or whatever? I've only known
it in a complimentary, a hyper complimentary, like the hottest
of hot, like that girl's all smoke. Like if if

(07:58):
you're fire, think about your smoke. You're like higher than fire?
Are you higher than fire? Because smoke is when you
put fire out. No, but when you burn a fire,
there's smoke on top of it. Right, So yeah, So
I mean barstool had smoke show. Okay, righted it was
well barstool did. They had their blackout party, but then
I think they also had smoke Show of the Day.
And that's how a couple like semi famous models or

(08:21):
Instagram models got their start. I know it just Jersey
girls that yeah, who I grew up. I grew up
and she was on there and she deserved to be
on there. But she smoke. She's smoked. She's still a smoke.
But she's still a smoke. Married kids now. But I
heard that. I was like, I'm confused because I thought girls.
I think it was because he was in the bathtoor
trying to fall in love with this girl and he

(08:42):
was like, yost, she just smoke. So there's a so
what it just comes across weird. I don't think so
at all. If you were talking to your friends. Right,
you know, I'm dating Carla Murray and things are great,
and you're like, she's a smoke bro. I think it
comes off like, yeah, I'm dating her because she's hot. No.
I think that's just one of the traits. Though. I

(09:02):
think it depends who you're talking about, right, Like, if
you're talking about a random girl and you call her
smoke that's fine, but it's almost like it's almost like, yeah,
i'd banger, Like I mean, no, see, I think that's
actually different because the bar. I've always thought of it
as a compliment. Okay, and I appreciate you playing Devil's adfocan,
but I just need people to to understand this. There

(09:24):
is a big difference between the oh I'd bang her
philosophy and a smoke show. And you can disagree with
me all you want, but I think every guy in
his own head will agree with what I'm about to say.
The bar for will I bang her unbelievably low for
most people, For most guys, I should say, because guys

(09:45):
will hone in on one trade or one thing that
they find attractive. Yeah, and they're like, well, yeah, I
would spend my time there if I could smoke show
totally different. You've got to have, you've got. The Smoke Show,
in my mind, is like the total package in terms
of looks, looks a perfect tent. If you like you
may you may not just because some of the Smoke Show.

(10:06):
You may not actually date that absolutely. But I also
don't think I think we like to um tell ourselves like, oh,
just because they're good looking, that doesn't mean they're the
whole package. They might have a terrible personality. They might,
but they also might not. I hate this idea. That's
like you see a good looking guy or a girl
and bars like, oh, it's probably super dull or super stupid. No, no, no, no,

(10:28):
it's not that they're good looking. Right, there's something like
I can tell you right now. You put any guy
in front of me, and I will be able to
tell you if he's a douche bag. Bullshit. You can't.
You can't line them up. You can't do it, line
them up. I don't think that's real. I think you
will convince yourself if you've already told yourself that they're
a douchebag, that they are a douchebag. I could probably

(10:50):
tell you. I'm we've talked about it. They've cheated. No,
you can't, No, you can't do that. That makes no sense.
And I think that we do oftentimes. I think women
do it more than guys do. But if you see
an attract especially if you've seen attractive woman's like, oh,
she's gotta be a bit, it's like that, that's not true.
She could be an unbelievably nice person. Is a big

(11:11):
topic on I Al was a show because when our
intern Jenny started and I was like, and she became
the nicest, most fun girl ever. And I did a
whole time in there about how I thought Jenny was
gonna be a bit. And years later, like ten years later,
Jenny still supports the show. She has a carler mon
Anthony hood and she's one of the best people ever.
But she was so hot, very good looking woman, and

(11:32):
also very nice, and I don't like that we tried
to divorce those things to make ourselves feel better. And
that's all it is. It is our own insecurity is saying, well,
that person is so much better looking than me. I
have to tell myself I'm a nicer person, or a
smarter person, or a more genuine person, and none of that,
because guess what, Ugly people can also cheat. Smart people

(11:57):
can also cheat. Do you think there's more like on
the there's like the scientific this makes you a good
looking person, right, certain features and studies, So in that study, right,
I'm sure we can find this answer somewhere. But do you, Anthony,
I think that there are more good looking people in
this world than ugly people? No? No, because I think

(12:20):
the reasons that we find people attractive are because they
have rarer, more rare unique unique quality is that the
general population does not possess, and they have all of
those things at the same time. Right, Like, anyone can
have big boobs, but if you have big boobs and
a nice face, that puts you a step above people

(12:41):
who just have big boobs. Okay, But what if you're
just looking at faces? Faces are tough. If you're you're okay,
So you're just saying faces are total package. I never
said till I said face at least attractive faces. You
never said face until just how many faces? Um, I'd
say there's probably it's probably closer to in terms of

(13:03):
just finding an attractive or agreeable face, if you will.
But as you start adding features that you're judging you
So when you're swiping? Were swiping? So what is it
called dating apps? Were you looking at? What were you
looking at to swipe left or right? Just the face
the total total package, like were you reading into the

(13:25):
bio ever or no? Uh no, I rarely Yeah, I
would read if you were on the fence right, like
because some people get an automatic swipe, some people get
an automatic swiption yeah, which not gonna lie. Definitely found
out later as I was going through just the attractiveness part,
I swiped right on two or three possibly more um

(13:49):
cross dressers. Yeah, And they would say, like, I just
didn't read the profile. I don't know. I don't know
because I don't know if they were. I don't know
how to qualify or not qualify, describe well they are
because they were. They were all different people too. I'm
at like throwing into the bus here is we have
these conversations. I don't think cross dresser is a term

(14:11):
people use anymore. Okay, that's fair. And I didn't know that.
I only because I just said it now and I
was like, I don't think we say that. It does
sound a little weird when I say it, but here's
I'll say. I I swiped on three, maybe four. I
think it is up to the number um humans who
were born men who did not look like stereotypical men

(14:32):
in their profile pictures. And I didn't realize that until
we then matched and I went down into the bio
and read more details. Does that make sense? So sometimes
that burns you a little bit when you're just swiping
based on hair and makeup essentially um. But if you're

(14:53):
on the fence, I'll read your bio and it better
be good, and also tell you that you know reading
bios back in the day on dating apps, I've had
this theory for a long time. And with women, the
divide between younger and older is a little more significant

(15:17):
on dating apps, and I feel like, at least in
my experience, it was less to do with what they
looked like and more to do with how they positioned
themselves with their words, and as you skewed younger towards,
like between let's say one and you were old, they

(15:39):
were they were on there absolutely what was your dating age?
I have no idea. I think it was just over
twenty one, like that was it? Because I can't no
matter how good looking you are, I don't think I
could date you, no matter how good do we good
do we get along? And how good looking you are?
I don't think at this point in my life I
could date you if you can't legally get into a bar. No,

(16:01):
I mean, guys, do it? You didn't? You need to
watch Bachelor in Paradise because you remind me so much
of grocery store Joe. Is he good looking? He's good looking, dude,
He's conviction. Actually, I will tell you this. I am honestly,
I think I am the most attracted to him on
the show. Okay, wait a second. He is he old? Okay,

(16:25):
that's fair, and he's so normal, and I think that
you like, he is now dating a twenty three year
old and she just like rips into him all the time.
And what well this week she said to him, it's
Serena p who was on Matt season with Katie. She says,
it's so weird. I never thought i'd date anyone or

(16:45):
like kiss anyone named Joe. He's like what, and She's like,
I don't know, and she he's like, well, my name
is Joseph. Anthony's like, oh Anthony, I like that better,
and I was like, oh think no, No, it was
just funny Bill, I think you have some of the
same features as him. I don't know what like you
definitely not the same knows, but like there's something about you.

(17:07):
I hope no one has the same notes as me.
Something about your the same features as him, and I
think he's very like he just wants to be loved
and he goes about life and like he doesn't care
for twenty three as long as you have a great connection.
I'm going to say this right now, and it might
be a controversial thing to say at this moment, but
I think if I ended up on any of the
Bachelor Nation shows, I think America would love me. I

(17:30):
think there'd be a very loud portion of America that
hated me, but I think the silent majority would be
on my side. Depends what you said everything, and it
depends what show. It also depends on like how long
they let me speak and what they edit out, because
I think when I say things right away, you're more likely,

(17:50):
like in the first you talk to yourself in the circle,
in the first twenty seconds, you're gonna hate me or
disagree with something I say, and you're gonna listen for
another like forty If you give me a solid minute,
I'll convince you that what I just said. So anyway,
you were saying something about older women and younger women.
So because we were talking about dating apps and things

(18:11):
like that and whether or not you read bios what
have you. Every time I got to a bio of
a woman who is twenty nine or above, it always
came with like rules and stipulations, and I am all
here for it. I'm not. And I understand that you
might have requirements of what you're looking for in a mate.

(18:34):
They've been burned, they've fucking dealt with years of bulls.
Understand that men and you know what. They know what
they want, and they can have all the rules they want.
I come with rules. Okay, what are they? We never
discussed these. That's not important though right now. No, But
what I'm saying is you are allowed to have your

(18:55):
own rules. You're allowed to say, you know, I'm looking
for a relationship or whatever. The things that I would
see all the time, though we're like, I'm not here
for your bullshit. I swear to god, I must. I
might have seen that two dozen times dating app, I know,
but that's not the way that you approach a stranger.

(19:15):
And that's when I think people forget when they're online,
whether it's a dating app or whether it's social media.
I think people forget we don't know each other. And yes,
when you're dating somebody, or if you've known somebody for
a long time, yet that's a relationship where you're supposed
to call them out on their nonsense and be direct

(19:35):
and whatnot. What the reason you're allowed to do that
is because you've built a rapport and you guys trust
each other, right, You can't just go up to people.
Imagine if the things women said specifically guys are also
pretty shitty. But imagine if the things women said on
their dating profiles they actually used in person at bars

(19:57):
or whatever wherever you meet people. Imagine if just we're like, oh, hey,
can I buy your drinks? She says yes, you just
start chatting in the middle of it, she just goes,
by the way, I'm not here for your bullshit. You'd
be like, uh, I thought we were having a good time.
I don't know where this attitude came from. You're gonna
pay me for that drink show? I'd watch that show.
It would be a great social experiment though, too, because

(20:21):
most people have at least one dating app. Usually multiple
dating apps are sites. Right, So if you took let's
say there was a person on there who's on Hinge,
on bumble and on tender, you throw them out there
into a speed dating world. But they're only allowed to
use the things they've said in their profiles. But to
someone's face, yeah, you regular people can't do that. You

(20:42):
need an actor. Regular people are not capable of doing that.
They would like, you need to train professional, hire me
to do what you're not. What are you trained at?
What have you actually trained? Is great? Are you a

(21:03):
trained professional? Yeah? And anything in answering the phones in
the radio, that's fair? Okay, one, I am give it
a one of these guys I am trained to actually
had more training to do Rutgers Radio than I did.
I had to pass the test. What was on the test?
What was on the text? A physical test? Physical. They

(21:24):
took you into a room. They were like, do you
put on the microphone, pick up a call? Um? Can
you play this track? Can you play a record? You
have to play a record? They would tell you a truck. Yeah,
how would you have to do that for? Because a
lot of the library so um A big part of
the library is independent artists. You have to pay play

(21:44):
an x amount of independent artists on your show. There's
like a certain part of the library you have to
choose from, and they're sending you records and there's so
many records in there, and you had to be able
to play a record. When did you go to Rutgers?
I'm here for it. I love the way records ounds.
So yeah, I passed that test. I'm trained professional as
a Rutgers DJ okay um oh. I did CPR for

(22:10):
my head. When was this high school? So if you
want to rucks to thirty four, you took the CPR
test of the twenties. I want to go tonight school.
You're training for World War Two? What else have I
got here? Do I take any trainings out here? I

(22:32):
don't think? So this is this is on my list
of life things I need to start doing. Doing what
I'm gonna start taking trainings of? What? What are you
training to do? Be a personal trainer? Except one? Then? Well,
I mean there's gonna be something else I can learn
how to do in like short course like also how
short do you think the personal training courses? It depends
you can do two days or six months. You're doing

(22:54):
the two days, aren't you. You don't have the commitment
for six months. I did too. I don't think you do.
I took a business training course a few weeks ago.
A few months ago. What are they training to do? Business?
Don't love business? So what do you learn? How old
is your business? How do you do it? Tell me
what you mean. I'm not giving it away. I paid
money for that class. We're a team here. I have

(23:16):
all the print out. Okay. So if you want to
launch a business right now, what would you do? What
is the business? Give it? You know, I'm gonna give you.
I want you to waste of your ideas. I don't
want you to waste any of your good ideas. So
your business, Carl the Marine, is going to be stuffed
animals that also double as water bottles, so that when
you wake up in the middle of the night and

(23:37):
you're thirsty, you have water in your stuffed animals. Go,
how do you start this business? I'd love to hear it.
And yes, I did make that up on the spot,
because there's a water bottle in front of me and
a stuffed animal buffalo on the shelf. Get so thirsty
and I don't want to get up and drink my
water bottle on my bed. Let's also great for road
trips or airplanes because your water bottle doubles is almos

(24:00):
like a pillow. Immediately you get your LLC. Okay, so
what's the LLC Drunk bears, drinking liquid bears? I don't know.
I'm not on shore. So you get your LLC and
then you obviously get your Instagram and you're not supposed
to waste a lot of time on choosing your colors.
Don't overthink your brand colors because no one really caresa

(24:20):
so don't ever think of what are the brand colors?
Brand colors are gonna go. We're gonna light pink and
light blue, because I would not have gone with that.
Society is still very much boy girl, and I can't
fix that. I would have gotten brown and blue only
because I think they're You have the bear and the
water right, Teddy bear water bottle colors. Didn't Oh you

(24:41):
overdnk it? Okay, so now we have we don't have
the LLC. Um you know, drinking bears is the LC right?
And the colors are Are we going pink and blue
or brown and blue? Okay, I pick them. Now what else?
What's the step two? Yet? Instagram drinking Bears, shop drinking Bears,
and you just immediately start posting on your Instagram. Well,

(25:02):
you need to come up with the business. Don't have
a product, right, what are you focusing on? Business? Class
really really worked out. I have to get my papers.
You gotta get the papers. Get the papers I had.
I took notes and everything. If anyone knows what movie

(25:22):
reference that was, please message me on Twitter. Or we
don't get the papers, get the papers. Oh man, you're
gonna be so mad. Your family is going to disown you.
It's probably Godfather close. But no, we're gonna stop talking
about it. I just want people to either DM me
or message me on or tweet me at worst Anthony

(25:45):
Gangs of New York. No continue, Okay, so um, then
you have to come up with like how much money
are you going to invest in your business? Right? Do
you need to get prototypes? Obviously we do. So we're
gonna need to find a factory that probably is only
in China. So we're because we don't have factories here
that do things like that. We have some, but not
a lot. No, And you're gonna to start communicating with

(26:06):
them over there in the middle of the night, and
then you're gonna have to It's funny because I can
tell the way Carlin Ree lives and it's it's funny
but also like tragic. At the same time, Carlin Ree
builds up scenarios in her head and I think a
lot of people do this, and then she gets anxious
about them, and then she gets sad, and I think,

(26:27):
Carlin Bree, I'm watching this happen, is already sad about
waking up in the middle of the night to call
China a company that doesn't exist, as she calls a
factory that she doesn't she's never communicated with before. I'm
watching it happen. And if you heard her tone like

(26:49):
rewind listen to her as she's talking about this company,
the phone call she has to make this company this
business class. Really did you wonders? Huh? Oh? I did
learn a lot. Yeah, I see that. I got a
whole note point fulling up. I think I think we're

(27:15):
good for the day. I think this is a good
Monday Friday something. No, wait, I have more. Oh, by
the way, actually, this is as carl Mee thinks of
what she wants to say, We only have if you're
listening to this on Friday when it's launched, which is
September three, there's only like two days left to a
bout buy our candles. And the reason that we love

(27:36):
this collaboration with Wax Cabin Candle Company is you basically
designed the candle. You pick one of the eleven um
are you're still laughing about before? You pick one of
the eleven labels that they made on holographic stickers, and
then you choose the scent so that link will be
in the description what are you still left at? Hello? Okay,

(28:00):
us actually have a candle, but they had a great
business plan when they launched, So thankfully you're not there
in those meetings, Um, one of the people teaching the class,
touring the business class. Yeah, this is something I should
not attach her name to what you're about to say.
God bless you. Oh man, she's not gonna be happy.
She has a great podcast. I'll actually link it below, Um,

(28:22):
but she talks about how like you need to find
your audience and you can't try to appeal to everyone.
This goes for anyone in anything that you're doing all
the time. Because you're gonna spread yourself to them and
no one's gonna buy everything. If you try to conform
to what you think the masses are going to want.
You need to find your audience if it's kids who

(28:44):
need Teddy Bear's, the middle of Tonight, whatever it is,
and stick to that. Don't try to change what your
product is or change your your marketing just to try
to get more people. That's actually going to change the
original product. And this is I mean, we all and
talk about UM the podcasting and radio, just the audio
space as an industry, and I think that is legitimately

(29:08):
one of the biggest problems that radio right now is
having what you're doing with radio UM is most radio stations,
especially in the top four the world, they are trying
to appeal to literally as many people as humanly possible,
which is normally a good business plan. But when it's
a personality brand and you're trying to communicate on a

(29:28):
personal level, right if you're selling pencils, yeah, you want
as many people to buy pencils as possible, But when
you're trying to connect with people as human beings, sometimes
people are just not going to like you for whatever reason.
And where radio is right now is the space as
they're trying to appeal to everybody. But by doing that,
by trying to win over everybody, you almost win over

(29:50):
nobody knew. And yes, shows like Elvis are great because
Elvis has put in the work for years and years
and years and he is himself and his audience has
grown with him. So yeah, there. The other side of
it is you have podcasting, and with podcasting you can
be hyper specific about your audience. So what radio is

(30:12):
doing is as they're trying to grow their audience, those
huge chunks of the audience that want someone who embodies
them or at least relates to them, they're finding those
people on podcasting and that's one of the biggest issues
with the industry. And but it goes to what you
learned in that class was you are not going to
please everybody. Stop trying to it's only gonna hurt your

(30:35):
business model. Be yourself and appreciate the people who appreciate you.
I'll try to bring some more facts from the business class. Yeah,
well you brought very little. Those trainings, those the things
I'm trained in. UM anyway, so back to me, But
I guess that's started with me saying I could act. Yeah,
because you said you were a trained actor or something. Yeah,
so I didn't say that. But um, something I mentioned

(30:59):
on this podcast a few weeks ago, I put in
the universe and it came true. What is that? And
I talked about how I wanted to go to Berries
and get credit for going to Barry's class Berry's book
camp classes, and I was like, I did, what was it,
twenty and thirty or fifteen and twenty classes. I didn't
even get a free SMOOTHI a medal or something. And you, Anthony,

(31:21):
were like, you just want to participations with me, blah
blah blah whatever, and everyone's making fun of me. Berries,
Los Angeles apparently has a program called the Academy, which
has now rolled out here in Seattle. Were like in
beta for it, and I logged in. I put in
my little information and I find out that I am
Silver level over thirteen hundred stars. I got a free

(31:46):
smoothly the other day. I get one per month. I
think you have hundred stars. How many classes have you been?
So what's the star mean? I don't know, it's only
a certain amount of time. Just who's lot to in?
Any way, the points don't matter on Monday, UM, and
I get like guest passes, I get some free cancelations,
I can book early, and when I get to gold level,

(32:09):
I can take my own class by myself. I don't know,
but it was like I put it out there and
I got it, and I was like, I can't tell
the people of Monday Friday. It came true. You know
what as we're because this is we also haven't done
this podcast in a month, but as we're doing this podcast,
what we haven't done this three weeks. We took two
weeks off because there was different travel and it was

(32:29):
just I'll tell you this much hotel WiFi. It stinks, um.
But we did two weeks of travel. Then John was
on the podcast with you. Last week, I was on
the podcast with Ricky twenty something is doing Nothing, which
you can check out obviously. UM. But this podcast feels

(32:50):
very natural and free flowing and fun. I think one
of the reasons when you compare it to what we
do on twitch is a twitch or at like a desk,
and we're still in that same space right now, in
the same room, at the same table, but like I'm
sitting on a bed, she's sitting at Carline sitting on
a bed. I got my feet up on another chair.
I think we need to figure out how to take

(33:11):
our twitch set up and get like comfortable big chairs.
I'm talking like a grand Pa chair, not a recliner,
but you know what I mean. He's been trying to
do this for weeks. So I want to get like
a big chair and create a comfortable space, A big
comfy couch. Yeah. Do you ever watch that show Blues

(33:32):
Clues comfy couch. I'm thinking of, uh, the chair that
Steve has in Blues Clues. Yeah, you should, big comfy couch,
same idea, but there was like things in the couch,
So I want to do that. Maybe get a huge
screen so that we don't have to have like the
chat on a small screen and just relax. I think
we're a little too tense sometimes because of the space.

(33:53):
So if you've got like a cool, somewhat inexpensive chair
idea for us, you can email us. We have a
new l address. Hello as Carla, Marie and Anthony dot
com h E L l o um. Before I forget
this week, myself Erica from the Almost on Air podcasts

(34:15):
and Ricky. We're on Ricky's podcast Why Something is Doing Nothing?
And we did our Little Girl's Room episode. That sounds weird.
We did our Girls. Why do people do that? I
like you put the word little before girls. It's weird.
It's like. No, we did our Girl's Room episode and
it was amazing. And Ricky realized today that Erica's audio

(34:36):
didn't record for more than half of it. We don't know. So, Um,
that's because we're little girls and we don't know how
to use technology. Um tell you what if me Jake?
And uh, what's the other guy's name? John? He was
on this podcast last week. If the three of us
did a podcast, it would have been perfect. Okay, So

(34:57):
I bet um. So first half of the podcast has
been released. It's going to be released as a part
to the next part, so give it a listen. Link
is below. It was actually a great time. Um. But yeah,
so John was here last week. You listened to it, Anthony,
would you think? I thought it was really good. I
was really interested in John talking about how his dad

(35:19):
tragically passed away when he was in his I think
I think it was thirty years old. John was still
like eight or nine, but his dad had secretly recorded
a couple of videos for them, and uh, I was
walking to the jam and got filled with a bunch
of emotions. As I was doing that, I started tearing
up when I was recording the podcast, and I was like,

(35:39):
I didn't want I'm sitting in this room by myself
bas timing basically John, I don't wanted to start crying
into the camera as he's like. So I was like,
oh my god, oh my god, my god, and I
had I don't know how I held them together. But
I thought you guys did a really good job. I
thought it was it was great. It was definitely the
second best podcast of our Mike Swap. I got hundreds

(36:00):
of messages. I got a couple of dozen on mine.
They were pretty good, but a lot of people said
we were the best Ricky and I. But I think
it was It's an interesting experiment to switch your partners
like that, right, Like I think it was like exciting
and invigorating and I think it kind of like also
put a spark back into this. Absolutely, I think the

(36:23):
other and this wouldn't work with everybody because certain hosts
don't have like we're all familiar with one another, we
all trust each other, We all work together on different projects,
but I think it could be a really great experiment
with a lot of different podcast or even radio hosts
down the road. We had someone respond to our email
the news letter that went out, and I was like,

(36:43):
I just loved this cross from usition. But that's because
we trusted each other and we let ourselves just be
guests like no one had to. We didn't weren't trying
to prove anything to one another or anything like that,
you know what I mean. Yeah, I agree, but that's
why I think it did. So who knows. We might
do it again. Maybe I'll do a podcast with Erica.
You'll do a podcast with Jake, when Ricky can do

(37:06):
one with John where rning a new podcast with Jake Here.
We'll still do the same kind of swapp will just
rotate it a little bit to give everyone else a chance.
We'll like do it for the holidays. I don't know,
I made that up. It is time for us to go.
Remember if you want to help us out our collaboration
with Wax Cabin Candle Company, that link there's a little

(37:29):
bit ley link in the description of this podcast. Use
that you can pick any of the holographic decals they have.
I'm partial to the you look great and I love
Anthony one my favorite since our Peach Pollini and Cozy Cabin.
There's a Morning one that apparent a lot of people
like like sweet Morning or something. Yeah, So those who
seemed to be the top three cents so far that

(37:50):
we've heard back from, check that out. That promotion is over,
and I mean, if you're listening to this on Sunday,
probably in the next couple of hours, So do it
this weekend. Don't delay check it out. If you like something,
pick it up because that's going to end soon. Carla Murray,
Peace out, cub Scouts. Later
