Vice Shoe.

Speaker 2 (00:12):
It's time you welcome to the Nerdy Vanica have your
host grol Shooter. And it is Wednesday, which means he
dear friend Donny meet from joining says, hey, Donny, are
you there? Hello?

Speaker 3 (00:24):
I know you might get this confused with the View,
but no profanities here. Sarah Haynes just be letting out
the prof The producer was shot this time because I mean,
it's ABC. You're not even I I love me.

Speaker 1 (00:38):
The View, just I'm gonna go on the record. But
I even I was shocked.

Speaker 2 (00:42):
I was like, girl, I know, if Whoopy said it, or.

Speaker 1 (00:44):
Give me let down cus words.

Speaker 2 (00:46):
If Whoopy had said it or Joy, you might have
been like, oh, but Sarah, I've known her since she
was a page at NBC. She was like a page,
and then she's worked away. She was so talented. They
led her on camera for the four parah the Today
Show and she was terrific, sort of like a sidekick,
and then they realized very quickly, wow, she's got really
great talent. And then NBC stupidly did not pick her up,

(01:10):
and ABC signed her. She went over to GMA and
now she's on the View. I can say I've hung
out with her a little bit. She's really nice, she's
really really cool, and she's not one of those people
who suddenly get on TV and dump you. She's not
one of those people who don't return your calls because
she's she's really really famous.

Speaker 1 (01:28):
Wasn't Joy like the receptionist?

Speaker 2 (01:31):
Joy was a good morning and Marri's got fired? Yeah, Joy, Joys?

Speaker 1 (01:35):
I wonder what Joys?

Speaker 2 (01:36):
Can you imagine how angry should be if you called
her Joy's skills as a receptionist? What do you want? So?

Speaker 1 (01:41):
Who cares?

Speaker 2 (01:42):
Did not get her the job, but she did work
at ABC, and then years later she was doing a
stand up in the village, just this tiny little club,
and Barbara Walters came to see her and she got
the gig. Joy's the only original cast member still on
the show.

Speaker 1 (01:57):
Is that wild?

Speaker 2 (01:58):
I do love it?

Speaker 1 (02:00):
On their star shoulder the other week surprise.

Speaker 2 (02:03):
All right, ready, let's sick jump in What time is it?
My Friends? And else tea time Big Stories At the
top of the show, Meghan markles it's a make or
break moment for Meghan as Netflix has bet big on
American Riviera Orchard launch. There's lots coming out. I will
tell you before anybody else does. So, Meghan's gearing up
for what could be the biggest test of her career,

(02:25):
her highly anticipated launch of her lifestyle brand, American Riviera Orchard,
and according to sources, the success or failure of this
venture could define her future as a business person. So
Meghan is set to roll out her brand through Netflix's
first ever retail stores. So Netflix are opening up stores.

(02:48):
I know where they're going to open them. One is
in the King of Prussia Model in Philadelphia. One is
in i'm All the Dallas Galleria. Both are pretty fancy,
massive molves. There's going to be a Netflix store in
those malls, and within the store they're gonna sell Megan's
signature honey and jams and olive oil. There's also going
to be a food counter where you can go and

(03:10):
eat some of Meghan's food. Once again, this is not
stand alone Meghan Markel stores. This is a Netflix store
and when you go in there, you can buy lots
of different products, lots of different things associated with Netflix.
They do this. HBO used to have a really successful
store on Sixth Avenue and you could go in a

(03:30):
bry Sapana T shirts or sex in the City, NBC
inside thirty Rock, they have an NBC experience. You can
go in there and buy Jimmy Fallon t shirts or
the Today Show stuff. I think this is a really
good idea. It doesn't feel big enough for Megan. For me,
I thought should have standalone stores. But I guess she's
learning to work before she can run. What do you

(03:51):
think about all this stuff? Are?

Speaker 1 (03:53):
I mean, you are right though, it is that me
can bring mom in.

Speaker 3 (03:56):
One of the ways you can tell is because the
Kinker Pressure Mall and Philly is huge, like that is
a it's a massive, massive mall, and so it means
also that it's not.

Speaker 1 (04:07):
A cheap experience that they're doing here.

Speaker 3 (04:10):
And here's the thing, Megan, I don't understand why it doesn't.
People just aren't relating to Megan, and I think that's
that's the what it is. I personally like Megan. I
think that you know, I don't you know what. She
bagged a prince, y'all. She bagged a prince. Who else

(04:30):
can say that?

Speaker 1 (04:31):
You can't? So you know what, good for her.

Speaker 3 (04:34):
But the problem is, though that wasn't enough for her.
So she went out there and she wanted to do more.
And I honestly, I don't think people will.

Speaker 1 (04:44):
Ever take her seriously. Because she married Prince.

Speaker 2 (04:47):
Harry, people are always going to make her work harder
for any success she hasn't a lot of people are
going to say it's only because of Harry, which is
not true. She was pretty successful before Harry, nowhere near
the global superstar she is today. But they haven't yet
figured out a way to turn this celebrity, to turn
this fame into salarihow else? Yeah, and I think I

(05:09):
think you might be onto something, Donnie. A lot of
the housewives do this though too. They have these reality
shows so they're really famous and they try to write
books or sell vodka or then. Sonya Morgan was working
on a toaster o than for I think ten years.
It still didn't come out.

Speaker 1 (05:23):
So Bethany's the only one that made it work.

Speaker 2 (05:25):
Bethanie's the only one that made billions of dollars in
that liquor brand that she sold, and she made it work,
but everybody else has not quite done it. Ramona had
a drink I think wine that didn't quite work. Countess
has done a million different product Summer.

Speaker 1 (05:41):
House guys just love her. Boy doesn't work.

Speaker 2 (05:44):
I don't know what it is. I think that Meghan
and Harry haven't figured out yet what that moment is.
Maybe her jam and her olive oil will be spectacular.
A lot of people laughed at Goop when Gowenev started Goop,
we all laughed. Now she made a billion dollars just
because since and when she started her shoe collection, everybody laughed.
Jessica laughed all the way to the bank. So I

(06:07):
I think it's out there. I don't know what it is,
but my biggest fear is they're not hiring people who
can help them find it. They're not hiring anybody really smart,
really qualified, who can talk to them and tell them
the truth, because so far they haven't been able to
figure it out. Now, a lot of people go throughout
their whole lives and don't figure out who they are.

(06:27):
She could do with the copy of my book the ForWord,
answer Meghan, who are you in four words, and then
figure out a brand from that. This brings us to
our phole question of the day will Bega Markels American
riviera orchard be a smash or a royal follop. It's
coming out really soon. In the serious premiers in March.
So in a couple of months we're going to find out. Hey,

(06:48):
go vote on our Twitter page. I had naughty nice
rob Our facebook page is naughty gossip and be sure
to check back. Tom Rau would to hear your results. Hey,
Donnie Love, what are you working on?

Speaker 1 (07:00):
Also?

Speaker 3 (07:00):
Real quick, I hate the name American Riviera Orchard. Kept
it an American rivieres enough.

Speaker 1 (07:05):
I think you're weird anyway, So this all right?

Speaker 3 (07:12):
Now, we'll start this by saying it is a Rolling
Stone expos It's not some you know.

Speaker 1 (07:19):
Run of the mall magazine.

Speaker 3 (07:21):
Rolling Stone does their work this month. There has to
be some sort of credibility here. I will say that
before we go into it. So Liam Payne, he you know,
had some secret struggles and Rolling Stone has talked about him.
It claims of cheating, there's claims of sexuality crisis and
possibly a forced abortion. I know that is something hard

(07:44):
to talk about, so we won't lean onto that too much.

Speaker 1 (07:47):
But they're saying that.

Speaker 3 (07:49):
You know, obviously he was engaged to the model Maya Henry,
and apparently he was secretly sexting men while he was engaged,
and apparently he even forced.

Speaker 1 (08:04):
Maya to have you know, abort their baby in twenty twenty.

Speaker 3 (08:09):
And this is just very sad because they're saying that
he was, you know, dealing with you know, maybe being gay,
or being bisexual, or being fluid, or just being attracted
to men in general while trying to keep up a
public relationship with his fyance and be Lea in Payne.
From one direction, it's just it's heartbreaking. Obviously we know

(08:33):
what happened to him. And this is a sad part
about sexuality is a lot of people do turn to
drugs and stuff, drugs and alcohol because they try to
numb that feeling of it and they're embarrassed. I have
a friend actually who is air quotes straight and he

(08:54):
has a girlfriend, but you know, and so here's the thing,
is like, but he deals.

Speaker 1 (08:59):
With it and he doesn't deal with it healthy.

Speaker 2 (09:01):
It's never going to lead to a good nevere And
I was thinking about the late great Whitney Houston and
if she'd been a lablais sexual who she wanted to be,
who she really was, then maybe she would still be
with us. It's so so important to get to know
yourself and then be comfortable with that person. And I'm

(09:23):
not sure actually Liam ever got there. I don't. Well,
I'm pretty sure he didn't. And it's a lot of pressure.
All that money, all that fame, and it was fame
made on being in a boy band primarily appealing to
young ladies too, and so I think that was a
lot of pressure there. I've known pop stars, actors, some in,

(09:43):
some out and the ones that are outre al was
the happiest. When you live this lie, it's just not
a good place to be. My heartbreaks. I was a
little hesitant about doing this story, reading this story, talking
about this story today, because we don't at people on
the naughty but nice share. You've got enough in your

(10:04):
own world to figure out. You don't need somebody like
me shouting it from the rooftops. However, Rolling Stone, as
you pointed out, do it. It's a really serious publication.

Speaker 1 (10:13):
They would never publicly know.

Speaker 2 (10:16):
They really dug deep. It's it's a really long story.
I encourage you to read it, and it just left
me so sad. I wasn't shocked that he might be gay.
I wasn't even shocked about some of the accusations, some
of the claims about past pregnancies. I was just shocked
at the sadness, all this money, all this power, all
this fame and cut too short, gone too fast, and

(10:41):
I don't ever know if you ever found happiness.

Speaker 3 (10:43):
Don't they Here's one thing I will say this here,
and because I try to have this talk with people,
and if out there of your dealing with any type
of feelings and you're unsure, you know, just because you
have maybe an attraction to it might just be person
of the same sex in your life and it might
maybe you act on that.

Speaker 1 (11:04):
That does not make you gay.

Speaker 3 (11:06):
It makes you human, It makes you fluid, It makes
you open to just experiencing a person in general, no
matter what their gender is. Because you think about it,
I'm gay. If I slept with the woman, everybody automatically
wouldn't be like.

Speaker 1 (11:22):
Oh he's straight, he's straight.

Speaker 3 (11:23):
They would still say I'm gay. So what is the
why on the flip side, is it so pushed? And
so I think also not saying Liam Payne was gay,
there's bisexual, there's open right.

Speaker 1 (11:37):
Yeah.

Speaker 3 (11:37):
I'm interested though because Harry's styles has been very open
yes about how he has, you know, experienced with men, and.

Speaker 1 (11:44):
He's okay with it.

Speaker 3 (11:45):
So I'm just it's interesting that Liam felt that he
needed to hide it was it because Liam wasn't as
popular as Harry.

Speaker 1 (11:53):
I don't know.

Speaker 2 (11:53):
I just there's a lot, there's a lot to take,
but the end results look how well and it's sad
good Harry's doing and Liam he's no longer with us,
really really sad. Okay, moving along, I love this story.
Sabrina Carpenter, who I'm just in love with. I recently
saw her perform on the Grammar. She's just terrific. She
was in Mean Girls on Broadway. She's a real real
Starshers had to sing and dance and act. Those people

(12:15):
that do Broadway are the best. So now she's a
big pop star and she's on the cover of Vogue
looking fantastic. And she said the opening up for Taylor
Swift for Taylor's tour paved the way for her own tour.
I saw her as the opening act at Taylor and
she was just fantastic. She gushed over Taylor Swift's ability
to command a stadium like it's a little club. It

(12:38):
was wild. I saw Taylor Donnie. I think there was
eighteen ninety thousand people there. I felt like I was
in a little comedy club with you a little cabaret
bar with you. It felt just so so intimate, she said,
watching her and just been so sort of in awe
of her. This told her that she could do it too,
and that enabled her to go onto be inspired by people.

(13:03):
Find people that inspire you, find people that encourage you,
find people that give you a chance. Taylor Swift didn't
really need an opening act. She's on stage for over
two three hours. It's a long show. But yet she
wanted one. And I think part of that too, was
not only for the audience. It was for these these
young musicians, these up and coming musicians. At the time,
Sabrina was known, but she wasn't the star she is today.

(13:26):
It's a launching pad, isn't it. And I think it's
so generous and she's so lucky that Taylor took her
under her winger. Now now that she's a star, she's
tipping her hat, she's paying her respect. Don't forget the
people who helped you. Yeah.

Speaker 1 (13:41):
The thing do is also, you know it is it's
good to see because Taylor. We love Taylor. We're Swifties here.
But Taylor has such a reputation of.

Speaker 3 (13:52):
Almost being like a godlike to where she seems so
unattainable and so like maybe everyone feels like she's above everybody,
or but you hear.

Speaker 1 (14:02):
Things like this where it's like no.

Speaker 3 (14:04):
And then Sabrina has in multiple times said that Taylor
was nothing but lovely and has still continued to be
such a friend and such a mentor because Taylor's older
than Sabrina and just has really helped her in her career.
And it goes back to what Taylor's always been about,
especially women helping women, but also artist helping heart.

Speaker 2 (14:27):
I love it. I love it, Taylor Swift. Every story
I hear about you, I just love you even more
and more. Okay, quickly before we get a break. Pete Davidson,
there's almost all in some steepy new photographs. I know
you've been looking at them, Donny, what do you think?

Speaker 1 (14:40):
Hello, it's a new Reformation campaign.

Speaker 3 (14:44):
So Pete, it's been in the last few years he's
been getting rid of his two hundred nearly two hundred tattoos.

Speaker 1 (14:52):
That is a very painful experience. Getting a tattoo is painful.

Speaker 3 (14:56):
I hear that removing a tattoo is ten times that
they're literally burning your skin.

Speaker 1 (15:01):
What it is it's burning the tattoo off. You have
to do it in multiple sessions for each tattoo. It's
a very painful process.

Speaker 3 (15:07):
He has gone and did it with nearly two hundred
of them, and he's in a new reformation.

Speaker 1 (15:13):
But this is the thing.

Speaker 3 (15:14):
He's in his box of briefs and his those skivvyes.
Then boxer brees have thirty eight dollars of where we come,
so exit one.

Speaker 2 (15:21):
Oh my goodness, I like three a hack for ten dollars, Donning,
I don't like all this fancy. Yeah, Pete looks great
in these sights. I never thought of him as an
underwear model. I think he looks really happy, he looks
really sober, he looks like it's really present. We've seen
Pete be kind of sloppy, and it's really nice to
see him look this good. I might consider buying you

(15:42):
a pair for Christmas, Dunning. Maybe I'll buy one pair.
They're so expensive and we can all share.

Speaker 1 (15:46):
Hello, make sure it's an extra small Listen.

Speaker 2 (15:51):
We're gonna take a quick break. Why we debate exactly
what that means, and we'll be back in a moment.
Not come back to the naughty been nicer I'm your
hester ap shoot with her dear friend Donnie each them. Hey, Donnie,
let's get to the polls. We talked about how overcoming heartbreak,

(16:11):
losing the Grammar and losing the Super Bowl, how that
loss will actually help Taylor Swift and Travis Kelsey's relationship.
It will make it stronger. Do you agree? Do you
think relationships get stronger when they're challenged?

Speaker 3 (16:25):
Wow?

Speaker 1 (16:25):
Whopping?

Speaker 2 (16:26):
Ninety two percent said yes, I do agree with this.
When everything's so great, you don't get to see the
full picture. It's during crisis. It's during problems that you
figure out who your friends, who your lovers really are. Hey,
don't forget to vote on today's bowl Twitter page at
Naughty Nice rob Our facebook page is Naughty Gossip and

(16:49):
be sure to check back tomorrow to hear your results.
And now it's time for our nicest of the day.

Speaker 1 (17:00):
Well, Kensington's Palace.

Speaker 3 (17:02):
It might sound so trivial here, y'all, but it's you know,
there was this whole hoopla that Kate wanted, you know,
the public to shy away from her, you know, clothing
her iconic style and focus on her humanitarian work. And
after days of speculation, a spokesperson has had to speak out,

(17:23):
and it's kind of funny that the palace has to
say this. The comments have reported should not be attributed
to the Princess of Wales. There's been no change in
our approach to sharing information about her Royal Highness's clothing. Now, look,
I think Rob will agree with this. There is so
much negativity and druma going on in that palace. They

(17:45):
want you to talk about Kate's clothing. They want it's
it's it is the eternal Look over there, look over there.

Speaker 1 (17:52):
You know what's over there. Kate in a beautiful dress,
That's what's over there.

Speaker 3 (17:56):
Don't don't look over here. We're talking about Harry, We're
talking about the King. We're talking about you know, Andrew.

Speaker 1 (18:03):
Look over there in that beautiful beautiles.

Speaker 2 (18:05):
Scret I noted that the day now I noticed the
day naughty, naughtyen Cameron Diaz is spilling the beans on
Hollywood's very dark side, saying there were layers of inappropriateness
behind the scenes. So Cameron is not holding back about
the toxic culture she faced in Hollywood. She stepped away
from it in twenty fourteen. She's back now, but she
said that it's not just the big bosses. The level

(18:29):
of security and safety that a woman gets now on
set is fantastic, But she said it wasn't always that way,
and she said the industry is so different. She credits
me too, the movement, me too for doing this, but
she said all over the business, from the very very
top to the very very bottom, there was inappropriate behavior,
and as an actress, that's something that she faced on

(18:51):
a daily basis, day after day, month after month, year
after year. I'm so happy it has stopped. Maybe I'm
being optimistic, but even Cameron emits it's getting better. Okay,
let's end with a moment a RB you, Rob, don't
be afraid to fail. It's not the end of the world,
and in so many ways it's actually the first step

(19:13):
towards learning something better. So once again, don't be afraid
to fail. For a long time, Donnie, I didn't apply
for a lot of jobs. I didn't go after some
friends I wanted. I didn't hang out with people I
love because I was afraid they wouldn't like me. And
the truth is most of them do. Don't be afraid.

(19:34):
And you know what, Donnie, even if ours are right
and they didn't like me and I didn't get that job.
It's not the end of the world.

Speaker 1 (19:43):
We're good.

Speaker 2 (19:44):
Not the end. Hey, that's the end of our show though.
