Speaker 1 (00:08):
Hello, No No Nollo. Welcome to the Naudyn Night Show.
I'm your host, Rub Shooter, and it's Wednesday morning. Now. Normally,
our dear friend Donnie joins us every Wednesday, which I
totally look forward to. However, he's not here today because
(00:29):
I had my eye surgery and I couldn't read the script.
So we're going to tape late last night and the
show was going to be ready for us all this
morning with a big bow on it. But when I
sat down to actually tape it, I didn't realize. I
didn't think it through. I thought I'd be okay, but
I actually could read. I couldn't see. So I had
(00:52):
a great night sleep and now I can see like
a wizard. It's amazing. Have you ever done this? It's
Lasik surgery. I'm not gonna paid to say this, but
I went to a fabulous, fabulous doctor who was not
only really talented, but also a very very kind guy too.
He texted me last night. His name is Jeff Dello
(01:12):
Russo d E L l O r U Sso he's
done Jennifer Lopez's eyes, He's done Mary J. Blige's eyes,
and now he's done mine and I cannot thank him
enough because I can see it's wild, isn't it. So
thank you, thank you, thank you. So it's just us today, naughties.
Donnie is off, nothing to do with his own life.
(01:36):
It's my mistake here. I just didn't plan this very well.
So Donnie, I know you're listening. Alloa'lao alo. Let's jump
into the show. What time is it, my friends? It
is tea time. Big story at the top of the show.
Prince Harry and Meghan Markle's chief of staff, that's the
person that runs their business, has quit after just three months. Ooh,
(01:58):
and also too, it's not just that they were there
for only a few weeks. They quit just before a
big important trip to Columbia. Let me explain that Harry
and Meghan they're facing another staffing challenge as their chief
of staff. His name is Josh Kettler. He's very respected.
(02:20):
He resigned after just three months in the role. So
according to sources in California, where where the couple lives,
he's no longer working with them. That's all they will say. Now.
John had been slated to join the couple on their
upcoming four day so at a quasi royal tour of
(02:42):
Columbia starting tomorrow. So this trip it's a big deal.
It's almost like a state royal visit, although they're not
working royals anymore, so they can't do that. They've done
this before and it really upsets people in the palace,
not necessarily because of ego, but because of security. To
do these royal trips are really expensive. Lots of security
(03:05):
is involved, lots of protocol is involved. It looks like
Harry and Meghan are not really doing that and they're
just sort of turning up. In fact, their last trip
they ended up meeting some really dodgy, scandalous people, I
think one of which was on the FBI wanted list.
So there's nobody doing vetting here. Josh was really respected,
so I'm sure he's done all the vetting to make
(03:28):
sure that nothing bad happens. But now is quit. The
reason for his departure remains unclear. I hit the phones
representatives for Harry and Meghan. They're not comment in. I
tried to reach out to Josh, but no response there.
I think also too, just as a gentleman, he's not
going to be on TV talking about it. He's not
(03:48):
going to write a tell all book. I'm told a
friend of his told me he wants to move on.
He's not talking about this. His friends know what happened,
but nobody else does. The sudden resignation, though, it adds
to a growing list of staff turnover for the couple.
In fact, I've got some numbers here. They've lost eighteen
(04:10):
one to eight employees since they got married in twenty eighteen,
and more than nine have departed the business since the
couple relocated to the USA. One former staffer said the
following quote, What may be the most telling part is
the entire time I worked there, I don't think I
(04:33):
heard a single person, current or past employee on their
staff who said they would take the job giving another chance.
So they're not going back. They wouldn't have taken this
job if they knew what it involved. Another former employee added,
these aren't employees that they just found on the street.
Many of them came from excellent working environments for really
(04:58):
high demanding bosses, high performance companies. So these people were
used to working with very difficult folks. However, it looks
like Harry and Meghan were too difficult. What do you
think about all this? Could it be another smear. Are
people going after Harry and Meghan because they just don't
like them? Or is there something here I must admit.
(05:19):
When I go an interview for a job, I want
to talk to people who have worked there, who are
still working there. I want to know the turnover. It
to me is a real red flag when I see
that staff are not there a very long time. Jobs
I've turned up at and I've looked around the room
and fifty sixty percent of the staff has been there
a decade. That's a really good sign. If you look
(05:40):
around the room and everybody's only been there a few months,
that's not a good sign. Why do people keep leaving?
And it's normally because the boss, the owner of the
company doesn't treat them really very well. So this is
going to be something that is going to keep coming up.
And particularly because this big trip is so important, it's
(06:01):
a major chip trip for them as a couple. They're
going to be able to be seen as royals. It's
going to look like a royal visit. Harry and Meghan
want to be treated well. They're going to be treated
like kings and queens. No pun intended on this travel
on this trip, and so I want it to go great.
What people don't realize is that think about it when
you go on holiday, the amount of planning that goes
(06:23):
into that great holiday, at that great vacation, it's a
lot of work. Can you imagine it if you were
a royal, if it was a work trip. When you
go on a work trip, Who's going to book the flight?
How are we going to land at the airport? How
are we going to get from the airport to the hotel?
What hotel are we staying at? When we check into
the hotel, who's paying? And then what happens? Then? What
(06:43):
are we going to do for three or four days
while in that country? So you and me will go
and see the sites. They'll go and see really important people, presidents,
people who run the country. Who was setting up those meetings?
And are I meeting with good people or are they
meeting with dictators of people that on the FBI list?
Are they meeting with scoundrels? It's all very very complicated.
(07:05):
I'm wishing them the best. I want this trip to
go extraordinarily well, I really do. I want them to
find their place. They're no longer working royals, but they
seem to miss a little bit, or at least the
glamorous part of that, the foreign trips, meeting heads of states.
So they're going to do that without being working royals.
But they need a really good team around them. Everybody does.
(07:28):
When I worked for Jennifer Lopez, everybody thought Jlo was
just this amazing creature who got out of bed each
day and was Jlo. Some of that is true. I'm
not taking anything away from her. She's really talented. However,
her biggest talent was she hired a good team. Everybody
around her was on the same page. We knew what
she wanted, we knew how she operated her life, how
(07:49):
she operated her business, and that allowed her to be
the jolo she wanted to be. Harry and Meghan now
don't really have anybody a chief of staff. That's such
a high position. It's going to be to find somebody
to replace him. I hit the phones and I spoke
to several of my top sources, and they said, the
word on the street is, don't work for Harry and Meghan.
(08:10):
It's not gonna last. You're gonna give up a really
good job for what two three months, and then be
fired or quit. So why would I leave a good
job in order to go to a bad job makes
no sense, which brings us to our pole question of
the day. Prince Harry and Meghan Markle's chief of staff
has quit after just three months on the job. Our
(08:30):
questions quite simple. Is this a red flag? If you
turn up at a new job and an office at a
store wherever you work, and everybody keeps quitting, if nobody
at that company has been there for very long, is
that a red flag? A go vote on our Twitter page.
I had naughty nights, rob our facebook page is naughty
(08:52):
gossip and be sure to check back tomorrow or to
hear your results. Okay, moving along, This store has been
bubbling up, but now it's really exploded. Do you know
that movie It Ends with Us? I loved it? Blake Lively,
Justin Beldoni. Well, now Justin has hired a crisis manager
amid rumors on the set of tensions with Blake and
(09:15):
Ryan who's not in the film, but it's her husband
and he was around a lot. So Justin has hired
a renowned pr crisis manager, Melissa Nathan. She's the best.
Following rumors that behind the scenes things on the set
of It Ends with us were really really dodger. So Justin,
(09:36):
who not only stars in the film along Blake, he's
brilliant in this film, he also directs it. So recently
he enlisted the services of Nathan's PR company. It's called
the Agency Group, and it's a powerhouse in reputation management
and personal publicity representatives. For Justin, who's best known I
(09:57):
think for his role in Jane the Virgin until this
movie came along. It's a blockbuster, has not spoken yet
about the matter. However, insiders tell me this new PR
crisis company is on board and made speculation of a
rift between him and Blake sparked really by noticeable absences
(10:18):
during the press tour. So they're on tour doing publicity
for the press. I noticed that the premiere, nobody took
a picture with Justin. Everybody took a picture with Blake.
Her husband Ryan was there. Even Hugh Jackman turned up.
They took pictures with all the cast members except the
director and the star also too. Now there's chatter that
the two did not see eye to I during filming. Well,
(10:39):
normally the director wins, he's the boss, he's not only
the star, he's the director. But Blake had all this
power because of Ryan. Blake's not Angelina Jolie. She's not
Julia Roberts. She's made some good movies, but she's not
a block bustler movie star. In fact, I would argue
she's best known for TV for Gossip Girl. I love
that show. She's brilliant in this. She's absolutely brilliant. It's
(11:00):
my favorite performance by Blake Lively. However, to turn up
and think you're Meryl Streep and start bossing the director around,
that's not right. An anonymous source told Page six that
it wasn't just Blake, though everybody on the set was
uncomfortable by Justin as the director. The cast did not
interact with him at the premiere. Now he looks like
(11:22):
he's going to fight back. I spoke to some friends
of his and they said, at the moment, Blake and
Ryan might be winning this campaign against him, but he
knows what really happened. And it was difficult on the set,
and Blake was very difficult, and she demanded Ryan come in.
I'm even told that Ryan helped direct some of the scenes,
(11:42):
which is really overstepping his mark. That is not his job.
I'm even told that Ryan wanted to rewrite some of
the scenes. That's not his job either, And so if
you hire Blake, if you work with Blake, you're also
going to get Ryan. He's a great guy, but he's
got opinions. Is an el for guy on set. He
knows how he wants things done, in which case he
(12:04):
should direct the movie instead of hiring Justin to be
the director and the star. Hire Blake if you want
to do all the work, if you're a bossy Boots,
then I don't dislike that, but be honest about it.
If you want to work with Blake, you've got to
hire Ryan. Say so, there's worse people to hire. But
I don't feel this is fair. I actually feel quite
quite solry for Justin here. This is a big moment
(12:24):
for him. It's a huge movie. He directed it, he
started it, and now everybody's taken a step away from him.
That's why he's going to fight back. Trust me, this
story isn't going to go anywhere. He has hired a
very powerful publicist now and we're going to start getting
to the truth. This story made me smile. Hoder, who
I adore hold a copy, is reflecting on a split
(12:45):
from an ex fiancee Joel Schiffman, and saying that she's
open to a new romance. So Holda, who turned sixty
happy birthday holder, is opening up on the reasons that
she's split up, revealing that their relationship, despite many many
positive badspecs, simply wasn't working. She said the following, one
person's growing, and one person wants it this way, and
(13:08):
one person wants it that way, and it just doesn't
work out. So they ended their engagement at the end
of twenty twenty two after eight years. Eight years have
been together. I met him is a really really nice guy,
and Hoda says that she said, he's a great human
being and I'm a good human being too, But sometimes
two great human beings together isn't quite enough to make
(13:30):
it work. The pair do share two adopted daughters, Hailey
Joy who's now seven Wow and I Hope Catherine, who
is four. They began dating in twenty thirteen and got
engaged in twenty nineteen. She does reflect though on now
that she's turned sixty, she is hopeful she would love
to find love again, and she said she can now
(13:51):
see her future more clearly than before. This is so interesting.
Can you break up? With somebody and still be friends.
Hoda is saying yes or so too. Does there need
to be a big drama. No, they just were not
going in the same direction. That does not make him
the enemy, It doesn't make her the enemy. In fact,
(14:11):
it makes them two really smart people. They sat down
like adults and said, We've got these two beautiful daughters together.
He's still very much involved in his daughter's lives, and
so they decided we can be friends, we can move forward.
I love it. It's a good example for all of us. Okay, quickly,
before we go to break. Taylor Swift hosted a rap
(14:31):
party for her tour crew in London after the Vienna
shows were canceled due to a terror plot. So Taylor
made her first appearance since canceling her Vienna shows due
to this foiled terrorist plot. Get your head around that
a foiled terrorist plot last week. So she stepped out
in London with her crew. She didn't look so happy.
(14:55):
She wasn't her normal, really cheerful self, and that makes
total sense. They had the party at this member's only
club called Annabelle's. I've been there in London. It's really fabulous,
it's really fun. I'm told she rented the whole place
out and she wanted to have an event where everybody
could smile and get over the last couple of days.
I mean, we've been talking about what this must feel
(15:16):
like for Taylor, but I've never actually thought about, at
least until now, what's it like for her crew. They
must have been terrified if something happened in that arena.
It's not just Taylor Swift who could be potentially hurt,
it's all her dancers, all her crew, all the people
behind the scenes, and obviously all her fans. It's terrifying.
It's absolutely terrifying. If I was a dancer with Taylor,
(15:38):
I'd be worried for my life, and with good reason.
And so Taylor wanted to take everybody out for a night.
I'm told they have spoken about this. They have all
been speaking to security. If people need to speak to therapist.
Taylor will also make sure that that happens. She's being
the opposite of Harry and Meghan here. She's being a
boss that everybody wants to work with, and nobody leaves.
(16:00):
I'm told, nobody leaves that tour. The turnover of staff
is almost zero. That's how good it is. To work
for Taylor Swift. Okay, we're going to take a quick
break and we'll be right back. Welcome back to the
Naughty but Night SHOWM your host, wrong shoot and Donnie's
off to day. Nothing to do with him. It's not
his fault. It's all my fault. I got my eyes
(16:20):
done yesterday, my laser surgery. I actually just went in
for a consultation. So I went for the consultation and
doctor Dr Jeffrey. It was so lovely. He said, you're
a really good candidate for this, and I've actually got
a slot. If you want to hang out an hour,
I can do them now. And I said sure. Through
caution to the wind. You know, yesterday my eyes which
(16:40):
is a little sore. Actually, I've gotta be honest, it's
worse going to the dentist. Last time I went to
the dentist, I was more uncomfortable than going to this
eye doctor. Had a great night sleep back to air goggles.
Bruce screamed, because you can't scratch your eyes while you're asleep.
So I went to sleep in these huge goggles. I
felt like Tom Cruise admitsion I possible. And I woke
up and now I can see forever. Thank you, thank you,
(17:02):
thank you. Okay, let's get to the polls. That da
DA last show, we talked about how Kelly Ripper didn't
thank Regius while receiving the Legend Award. That's a big award,
the Disney Legend Award. She did not thank Regius when
she got that big award along with a ton of
other stars. Our question was pretty simple, should she should
(17:26):
she have thanked Regious. Let's have a look. Sixty six
percent said yes, she should have, or at least acknowledged him.
That's what Elena said. Yes, said, you don't have to
say thank you. We know they did not get along,
or she did not get along with him. She didn't
treat him that well after he left the show. She
didn't have to thank him, but she should have acknowledged
him somewhere. Without Regius, she wouldn't be a Disney Legend.
(17:48):
She wouldn't have been on that show. He was partly
responsible for giving her that job. I agree with you,
noughty Ease, Yes, she should have. Don't forget to vote
on today's pole. Get her Twitter page at Naughty Knights.
Rob facebook page is Naughty Gossip. I'm be sure to
check back tomorrow, Young Results. And now it's time for
our nicest of the day. And nicest of the day
(18:11):
is Matt Damon, who says that he couldn't imagine the
scrutiny that Ben Affleck and Jennifer Lopez went through. So
he said, he just he's quite boring. That's where he's married.
I'm boring. I wish them the best to look, but
I just can't imagine this type of scrutiny. Now. He
does go on to say that Ben was always the
most famous of the two of them. When they became
(18:31):
famous way way back in I think nineteen ninety seven
when they won the Oscar. He said the media was
far more attention, far more focused on Ben than him,
primarily because of his high profile relationships. And he was
single during their early days of fame, so Matt did
not have a partner. And then he married his lovely wife.
(18:51):
They've been together for twenty five years. And he said
the magazines and the gossip world, they don't fixate on that.
They like theseuspashy relationships, which Ben has certainly had. So
he's says that he actually actually dooped down. Really couldn't
imagine this type ubscrutiny and nicest of the day, and
now I'm naughtyest of the day. Notty, notty, naughty, naughty,
(19:15):
he said. Judici from the Real Houndswives of New Jersey
is at it again. This time she's picking a fight
with co star Rachel Fouda, and so she's saying that
claims that she had manufactured relationships are simply not true,
asking why is she so obsessed with me? Teresa? I
think we're all ready to be a little less obsessed
(19:38):
with you. Annoying, annoying, annoying. Will it ever end? Hopefully soon? Okay,
let's end with a moment a rob. You got a rob?
You gotta rob? You rub you get a rob. Stop
focusing on making it and start focusing on doing it.
We say that a lot on this show. Do the work.
Stop thinking about the winning, the results, all the great
stuff that comes after you've done the work, and start
(20:00):
focusing on doing the work. Put your head down, do
the work, do the work. Do the work, day after day,
and I promise you success will come. Hey, that is
it for today. Thank you so much for listening to
the naughty but Nice with Robert and Naughty shows. You're
the co host Today, we're a production of iHeartRadio. Don't
(20:21):
forget to subscribe on the iHeartRadio app, Apple podcasts, wherever
you listen, leave us a review if you can, and
remember all together now, if you're going to be naughty,
you got that'll be Guys up, so marvelous it's starting,
but nice with Rom
