Speaker 1 (00:12):
It's hell and welcome to the naughty but nicer. I'm
your host, Rub Shooter, and it's Thursday, which means our
dear friend Mark Looper joins us. Hey, Loopy, are you there?

Speaker 2 (00:24):
Loopy Luis?

Speaker 1 (00:26):
Hello, Hey Lubi. It's fall. It's cold in New York City.
I woke up this morning. I actually put I'm gonna
have to put a robe on or something. It's quite
chili in New York. I like the fall. I can
pull out all my sweaters, all my jumpers, and wear
some gloves and some hats. How are you, Marker? You
a fall guy or you were more of summer chap.

Speaker 2 (00:43):
I love all the seasons on Europe, but I do.
The thing with follow is that you wake up it's cold,
then the little guy you're sweating, and then you're cold again.

Speaker 1 (00:53):
Quite had to dress for it, but I will figure
it out. Let's jump into ashow. What time is it?
My friends? It is tea time story at the top
of the show. So Wendy Williams. Wendy Williams, who we've
not spoken to scene in months, even years, dare I say,
is now revealing that it is about time for Diddy
to face justice. So Before we get into what Wendy says,

(01:16):
let me give you some background here, some inside information.
At first, I did not believe her reporter from the
Daily Mail spoke to Wendy. I just couldn't imagine how
that was possible. Then I found out through my reporter
friends that is actually legit. He just called her cell
phone and she happened to answer. And now I'm told

(01:39):
her conservator and people around Wendy are furious that they
managed to get to Wendy. They're trying to isolate her.
They would argue for her own good, they don't want
her talking to the press. But a lot of reporters
do have celebrities phone numbers, and when something happens, you
call them for comment. Now you were meant to go

(02:01):
through their reps. Let's be honest here. The correct protocol
is to call their reps, their managers, their agents. But occasionally,
if they don't have the above, or if the above
are just too difficult or lazy to deal with, then
you can call them themselves. And I think it depends
on the celebrity. Would I have the hutspur to call
Julia Roberts directly on her phone? Maybe not, But I

(02:22):
certainly would call Bethany Frank call. In fact, she's probably
calling me. So the housewives a fair game. So somebody
like Wendy. She's not a Julia, but she's certainly not
a housewife. She's a TV Oh, she's a Sherry Shepherd type.
She would not like that comparison, but she's a Sherry
Sherry Ricky Lake, may I even say a Hoder Let's
be really generous here, and Andy Cohen type. I would

(02:44):
call Andy. I'd feel fine calling Hoder. So the reporter
called Wendy. She answered the phone and he started to
talk about Diddy, and she said, it's about time. And
a lot of people have been saying to Wendy that
you called it Wendy a long time ago. Wendy was
the first one, back in nineteen ninety eight. She was

(03:05):
the first one to start raising a red flag about Diddy.
Some of the things she had heard. She was part
of his community. She knew stuff. Let's remember she was
fired from Hot ninety seven radio station that was very
instrumental in Diddy's life, his professional career, his artists. Wendy

(03:26):
knew Diddy was a bad man. She knew it years ago.
A lot of people did. Wendy was the only one
that said, we think a couple of things, Mark, do
you think now Wendy has been vindicated? And another are
you surprised that a reporter got to speak to Wendy?
You know?

Speaker 2 (03:44):
Yeah, So I do think Wendy's been vindicated in a
lot of ways because she has been telling a story,
like you said, since the nineties, and a lot of
us knew who had worked at the show, which I
had worked at the Wendy Williams Show for many years.
We all knew the story, and we knew the sensitivities
around Diddy and that there were some feelings there. I
will say, you know, I've called people directly, you know,
I called Mega Markle's dad. That's when he gave me

(04:04):
a really great scoop once they announced they were living
the Royal family. He just boarded things out. I think
with this situation with Wendy, you know, she has dementia,
she has a spechia. It's not I don't think it's
cool to call someone who's, you know, in a situation
where they or not maybe in the right state of mind,
and then exploit them for stories. However, you know it
makes me wonder where is Wendy then, because at the

(04:26):
time she was kind of locked away in that conservatorship.
No one could reach her, no one had her phone number,
she could only call people. So I wonder if she
may be somewhere now safe with her family and she
has a phone number that's working. But it's either way.
It's nice to hear that Wendy, you know, feels as
though people finally have heard her.

Speaker 1 (04:45):
Yeah.

Speaker 2 (04:45):
I like it and believe it.

Speaker 1 (04:46):
Yeah, yeah, I like that Wendy's aware of this. When
the supporter spoke to her, she was aware of what
was going on with did he? When I saw Wendy
last over a year ago, she wasn't that aware of
what was going on in the pop culture lose, which
is what she loved. That made me a litle bit concerned.
So I love that Wendy is up to speed on this.
I love that she's been vindicated. Like you, I'm not
sure that I'm comfortable that he called, and not because

(05:09):
she's a celebrity, but because she's had mental health issues.
She has dementia. It's not fair to talk to somebody
and put them on the spot and then quote them
in a national outlet if no one's sort of protecting them.
I am told though, that the reporter at the Daily
Bail is a good guy, and there's lots of other
stuff on the conversation that they won't print. That there

(05:30):
was stuff there where she clearly got confused, where she
wasn't really sure that she was being interviewed, and they're
not going to use that. So there is some honor
there too. But it is really a complicated, complicated situation.
It doesn't have to be a celebrity to be somebody
that is in this predicament. We've all got family members

(05:51):
who need some help. Is it fair to have conversations
with them about their lives or what's going on when
you know they are struggling with mental health with dementia?
Fascinating big picture conversation to have here. I would tread
lightly on this one, I really really would. There's a
few of the housewives who are not in the situation

(06:13):
that Wendy's in, but however, they have had some mental
health troubles. I'm very careful when I interviewed them. When
I speak to them, and I'm very very careful, I
say at least twice, are you sure you want me
to report this is this off the record, I give
them every benefit of the doubt, but after they will
say yes, they like the attention. I also too, because

(06:36):
I've known Wendy a long time as well as Mark.
I also feel as if Wendy enjoys being back in
the game a little bit. I can imagine Wendy going
on her computer and seeing her name again and a picture,
and we're not talking about her dementia or her losing
her job. We're talking about what Wendy loves to talk about,
which is Diddy, which is Whitney, which is the Real Housewives.

(06:58):
So part of me has a little bit of joy here,
Mark thinking Wendy's going to feel like, Oh, I'm back
in the game. They still want to talk to me. Mark.
The press still thinks I'm relevant.

Speaker 2 (07:09):
Well, yeah, liston, I think of anything A lot of
us feel. I wish Wendy was still on TV because
me too. Whenever a big news story happens, right, what
would Wendy Williams say about this?

Speaker 1 (07:19):
That's exactly right. She doesn't like no one else does
nobody else. I've never seen anything like it. We've both
done this for a really long time. When there's a disaster,
and natural disaster, I go to see it. Then when
there's a celebrity disaster, I get to Wendy Williams and
she's always right. Wendy Williams in the National Enquirer. They
are always right, and they might be ahead of their time.

(07:39):
Nobody believed Wendy. This was twenty years ago. She was
talking about Diddy and Wendy got fired for it. Wendy
actually lost her job, She got fired from the radio station.
They owe her an apology. A lot of people are
Wendy an apology, which brings us to our poole question
of the day. Wendy Williams is saying it's about time
that Diddy faces justice. Our question is quite simple, is

(08:03):
Wendy vindicated? Has Wendy Williams been vindicated? Here? A lot
of people were uncomfortable with what Wendy has had to say.
A lot of people dismissed her as crazy. Oh I'm silly. No,
Wendy was right all along. Hay go vote on our
Twitter page at Naughty Nice rob at Facebook pages Naughty Gossip,

(08:24):
and be sure to check back tomorrow to hear your results.
Hey Loopy, what are you working on.

Speaker 2 (08:31):
All right, So Elton John is joking about his health struggles,
and he says, there's not much of me left me too, Alton, okay? So,
Elton John has faced numerous health challenges over the years,
but his sense of humor and gratitude remain intact. While
giving a speech at a screen for his documentary Elton
John Never Too Late, he said, to be honest with you,

(08:52):
there's just not much of me left. He's been on
to share a list of the organs he no longer has.
He said, I don't have tonsils, adenoids, or appendix. I
don't have a prostate. I don't have a right hip
or a left knee or a right knee. In fact,
the only thing left to me is my left hip.
But I'm still here.

Speaker 1 (09:13):
I'd love you to be this honest. Yeah, I love Elton.
Let's be honest. Let's all be honest here. Elton has
some health issues. He's really struggling. I've read the reports.
I've got some reporting myself that Elton now is in
a tricky position in his life and we just are
wishing the best here. However, in true Elton fashion, he's

(09:36):
going to have the last laugh. Here's the one that's
going to talk about this. So all the reports about
Elton's health that are out there, they're all true. He's
must have seen their mark and so now he's speaking
out saying they're not wrong. There's a lot of me
that is no longer here, by me, by prosta, by this,
by that, by Ton souls. I just love Elton and

(09:59):
I like to that, unlike so many celebrities, performers his age,
he can retire with some dignity, with some grace. He
wants to spend time with his husband David, with his
two sons, Zachary and Elijah. I love Hodes them. This
hod has stepped away from the best job in television
to spend time with her kids. I'd argue Elton paved

(10:21):
the way. He stepped away from the best job in
the world, because he's still sold tickets. He might not
have put on a show quite as good as he
did twenty years ago. Neither does Madonna, Neither does anybody
after the age of sixty seventy eighty. You know who
you are, but maybe share, maybe just share, Maybe shares
the exception, maybe share. But I like that he can

(10:41):
step away. My experience in show business, Mark and with singers,
with celebrities, is this is all they've got. They don't
really have a private life. They don't really have a partner,
they don't really have a family, they don't really have friends.
All they have is performing. I think it was Frank
Sinatra that said he wanted to die on step that's
where he was the most happy. That makes me sad.

Speaker 2 (11:04):
It's me sad too. And I think at some point
in your life you probably think to yourself, well, what
am I doing others for?

Speaker 1 (11:09):
Yeah?

Speaker 2 (11:10):
What am I doing all this for?

Speaker 1 (11:11):
Who?

Speaker 2 (11:11):
And so I think for him? For Elton here has
two young kids, he has a husband, he's said an
amazing waye. But at this point, you know, you can
still do a few shows here and there in you know,
a brief residency, but you know, sit down and enjoy
your life.

Speaker 1 (11:24):
Dad, enjoy all that money, enjoy that power, and enjoy
that fan. I wouldn't even do a few shows. I'd
do a few numbers. I'd turn out some big benefit
and sing one song then leave me alone. I don't
want to work that hard, Elton, We love you, okay.
Moving along, Amy Roback has moved in with TJ. So
I think a lot of people thought that when these
two blew up their marriages their careers, that they were

(11:44):
going to get married immediately, that there were a couple.
They've been given separately. They've never actually lived together, and
so now they have moved in together because of a problem,
not because they wanted to. Amy's apartment has been overrun
by cockroaches, so she needed to get out of her apartment.
She's renting this really fabulous place now. TJ is just
down the street. But they did not get a place together.

(12:07):
Now she's moved in, and she said, I am a
bit joy in the time. But it's a little different
difference never a good word. I'm told they have very
different lifestyles. TJ likes to stay up till three in
the morning. Amy's in bed by nine point thirty ten.
They just may be not quite as compatible as what

(12:28):
they might think. They are a couple of things, Mark,
are you shocked? But they never live together? And do
you think this is going to be a big test?

Speaker 2 (12:37):
So I'm not shocked because I do listen to their podcast.
I am a fan, and I'm just very curious about
those two. And you know what's funny is they seem
to not be the best fit. They just they pray
together in a crazy way. They kind of argue a lot,
and yes it's bickering, and I can see it in
explosive fight in their future very much.

Speaker 1 (12:59):
I think they have huge fights and then they have
great makeup sessions. I think I think this relationship is
all about sex and passion and not about the realities
of life. And part of me thinks, Oh, how wonderful.
This is just so much fun, It's so exciting. But
part of me thinks too, Mark, Oh, on paper, you
two are just so different. Her fingers crossed their qu

(13:23):
quickly before we go to break, I love this. Selena
Gomez is saying it is distasteful to talk about money.
What is she saying? Mark? That's right.

Speaker 2 (13:33):
So Solenna Gomez is keeping things humble. This bet her
skyrocketing and worth. The pop star and actress, now reportedly
worth one point three billion dollars thanks to her Rare
beauty makeup brand, recently shared her thoughts on discussing well.
She said, I personally think it's distasteful to talk about money,
but I am really giving other credit to the people
who buy the products.

Speaker 1 (13:52):
Hmm. I like it. I don't like talking about money.
I really don't. If I had a billion, would I
feel differently? Maybe I just not my thing. My mom
and dad don't talk about money. My brother Douglas, Oh,
that's all he talks about is how actually is. And
I'm not that I did quite well. But I don't
want to really discuss numbers or figures. I get a

(14:13):
little bit queasy when people ask me what do you
make or what do you earning the magazine or what
do you earn on the TV show? I don't like it.
Where are you buck? Are you full disclosure or are
you a little careful?

Speaker 2 (14:24):
Well, listen it you live a nice life or I
live in a beautiful neighborhood in the city and you
know I live a nice life too, and you do.
I think for me, it's my family has always been
very open about it. We have discussions, and it's you know,
how to use money how as a tool for your life.
But I think with respect to like how much the
money I make or whatever, I'll share it with people
who I work with or people who I'm trying to
influence or help, you know, mentor for the way of

(14:45):
helping to help them grow. But I don't brag or
share in the way of just being, you know, a jerk.

Speaker 1 (14:51):
That's the smart thing. It's the bragging, isn't it. It
feels like you're bragging, And how could you not be
bragging when you have a billion There's no normal way
to talk about like it's just the wildest thing. She
was not born into this. She did not inherit hundreds
of millions of dollars from her mom or her dad.
This is really self made. Taylor Swift had a very nice,

(15:13):
very nice family, very upper middle class family. Her dad
was very wealthy. Nowhere near the money that Taylor has made,
and I'm not taking that away from her. She's incredible.
But Selena Gome has really struggled. Her life was quite
quite difficult, and to think that she's gone on to
become a billionaire is just fantastic. Now, once again, I
don't like to talk about money, but maybe I'm wrong.

(15:34):
Maybe Selena should be doing classes at the ninety second

let's get to the poles. That last year we talked

about how Taylor Swift has been missing some of Travis's games.
But they're romance Okay. Lots of people are like, oh,
have they broken up? She's not there. No, they are fine.
She's busy. She's getting ready to go back out on
the road. He's busy doing his games. That question, mars,
should she get to all his games? If you're dating somebody,
are you expected to turn up and support them every

The Kansas City Chiefs Travis Kelzi is getting real about
his eating habers as he approaches his thirty fifth birthday.
The NFL star confessed that cutting back on jong food

on field strength, revealed he's hit the point in the
season where he's had to fight temptation and push it

(17:21):
away to stay in top shape. The struggle is real.

Speaker 1 (17:24):
It's real. It's everything changes when you hit thirty five.
When you hit forty it gets worse. It really really does.
My diet did not get better until I was like,
maybe forty five, and I should have done it ten
years before. But everything changes when you hit thirty five.

I noticed the day. Naughty, naughty, naughty. There's a new

want to pare holes in the belief about what fame provides.
It doesn't raise your self esteem, it doesn't create profound connections.
It's not gonna heal your childhood traumas. In fact, all

(18:50):
fame does is amplify them. If you are looking for
something to make you happy, for something to fix you,
do not look to fame popularity. It doesn't work. So
many celebrities I know thought that if they became famous,
they'd suddenly be happy. It didn't. It made it worse.
