The first game, I mean the game that just ended
Maths beat the Maths beat the Kings one one oh six,
Ad and Clay combined for fifty points as the Maths
(06:35):
blow out the Kings. The game really wasn't that close
at any point time, I mean fourteen points at one
point time, they headed up as many as twenty four points. Joe,
I'm gonna ask you this, did tonight win redeem Miko Harrison?
Does he make Does the Mavericks fans say, you know what, hey,
d ain't that bad? After all? He gave us what
(06:57):
he give us twenty seven nine three blocks to the
sister steal plus ten and the plus minus twenty seven,
nine and three. We can live with that. It's all
well in Dallas after they advanced to face the Memphis
Grizzly for a chance to be the eight seed and
face the OKC thunder.
Speaker 3 (07:15):
Now, I don't think it's all well in Dallas.
Speaker 1 (07:18):
It was a good it was a good performance by
a d But I kind of feel like the Memverage
they gonna get cheated this year.
Speaker 6 (07:23):
Man.
Speaker 3 (07:24):
They don't have Tyrie.
Speaker 1 (07:25):
You know, it is our the ACL injury and you
know at some point, even maybe next game, they need
guys like him who can take over, create have it
on offense and put guys in the right position.
Speaker 3 (07:38):
So I think it's gonna be tough.
Speaker 1 (07:40):
Man.
Speaker 3 (07:40):
They still got they work cut out. They gotta play against.
Speaker 1 (07:42):
Memphis in Memphis, right, yep, Hey, Memphis can't lose that game.
Speaker 3 (07:47):
Man, that's gonna be a good one.
Speaker 2 (07:49):
But let me ask you this, are you concerned about
the health of Jaw Now we saw him hurt that ankle,
He sayed out for a significant amount of time. He
tried to come back in. But you know you've had that,
probably had that injury where you go to shoot a shot,
You land on someone's at foot ankle, You roll your ankle.
How sore is he going to be? Is there enough
time between they played last night? You had Thursday off,
(08:13):
and you play tomorrow, and you play, you have tomorrow
off and then you will play on Friday?
Speaker 3 (08:17):
Yeah, he young, He gonna hel up quick.
Speaker 1 (08:20):
You know, hey, if they don't me and you haven't,
the spray egg's gonna take us bout.
Speaker 3 (08:24):
Three weeks to a month to get back. You know,
he's gonna bounce right back. He's gonna be ready to go.
Speaker 1 (08:30):
He understands the moment, I think, and knowing that it's
in mentions, I'm sure he's not gonna gona let them
fans down.
Speaker 2 (08:35):
So I expect John to put on the show man,
Oh Joe. This game, Dallas Mavericks. They win one twenty
to one oh six. Anthony Davis. I mean they got
contributions everywhere. Ad had twenty seven.
Speaker 3 (08:48):
PJ.
Speaker 2 (08:48):
Washington had seventeen, Clay had twenty three. This is why
they got Clay. He got the bench. Dante Exum had eleven,
Brandon Williams had seventeen and eighteen minutes five or six
from the four, four from the three point line four
and forth from the free throw line. The bitch was very,
very good for the Dallas Mavericks to overcome Demardy Rozen
had thirty three, Zach Levine had a quiet twenty. They
(09:11):
didn't get the count of production they normally get from
Somonas he only had eleven, thirteen and five, but he
normally somewhere around seventeen eighteen. Give you that, and they
needed that tonight. But Dallas go on the road to
Sacramento and win this game.
Speaker 7 (09:24):
Oh Joe, what did you like about what you saw
from Dallas? I mean, this is exactly what you're expecting
them to do. This is exactly what you expect them
to do. Obviously, the fans have been mad about the
trade and ad A eight coming and Luca leaving, Luca
coming in trying to remind you why I should have stayed.
But all this is for the Dallas fans and the
organization for the Mavericks as well as is you put
a band aid on the band aid on the gas,
(09:46):
that's all it is. This is what you're supposed to
do to Sacramento. So what you're gonna see is later
on down the line when it comes time for a
seven game series, things are gonna be a little different.
Speaker 3 (09:56):
You don't have Kyrie, he's hurt most of the book.
Everything going to be on eighty to have.
Speaker 7 (10:01):
To what's the what I'm looking for be a score
a thirty to thirty two or thirty five to be
able to leave that team to another series, which Luke
was able to do.
Speaker 3 (10:11):
With Kyrie, I don't think he's gonna be able to
do it.
Speaker 2 (10:14):
Yeah, you definitely need and Joe, you can speak the
best in the playoffs. You need a guy that you
can put the ball in his hands and he can
go get your bucket. And it's nice to have that
as a guard because you don't have to get him
the ball. He can come, get the ball, bring it up,
and Kyrie can distribute. Kyrie can get his shot from anywhere.
He can finish in the paint, given that he's not
(10:36):
an above the rim player, but his layup package and
his ability to handle and create a shot for himself
or someone else is second to none. And so to
that what going on the road now, You look at Memphis.
They got Triple j who did not have a great performance.
The other night, Job was good. Desmond Bane played unbelievable
(10:57):
Pip Junior played really well. What does Dallas have to
do to go in and to create a similar performance
to what they had tonight?
Speaker 1 (11:05):
Joe uh eight, He's gonna have to be dominating. He's
gonna have to be dominant. Man, He's gonna have to
put up big numbers in order for them to win.
I know they pretty much played by committee. By committee.
You know, Clay got off to a pretty good start
to night. You know, he st have to bother really well.
But they definitely they got guys who can put up numbers. Now,
they got guys come out there bench. You can definitely
chip in and help. But I think with their five
(11:26):
they gonna give uh, they gonna give mimbs some problems
as well, though, you know they Uh That's that's why
Ad is able to kind of roam because he got
Lively and Gaffard down there to kind of close up
the pain, you know what I mean, yep, And he
gets to play when Lively's on the four, he always
gets to play. For the most part, he gets to
play the four, which he loves to play. Because when
you have Lively, you bring in a Daniel Gaffert. You're right,
(11:49):
they're a big team. You look at PJ.
Speaker 2 (11:51):
Washington goes about six seven, Lively goes about six eleven
or seven foot, Ad goes six ten, Daniel Gaffert six nine,
six ten. This is a very fair read, big ball
plug and so the front line, and they challenge a
lot of shots.
Speaker 3 (12:04):
They had eight blocks tonight. Ad had three. Gaffer that too, and.
Speaker 2 (12:08):
So you know nothing, Hey, it's simple philosophy to playoff nothing, cheap, nothing,
you come in to pay, I gotta put you down.
Speaker 3 (12:16):
I'm sorry. But but what.
Speaker 1 (12:18):
Memphis fis got JJ and big eating eating down there.
Speaker 3 (12:22):
You know they're gonna call some havoc as well.
Speaker 1 (12:25):
I do expect John to really put on a pretty
good performance because they gonna need him. They gonna need
his leadership, you know, definitely on the court for them
to uh be to continue.
Speaker 3 (12:35):
And whoever wins the.
Speaker 8 (12:36):
Game, they got whole k surprise.
Speaker 3 (12:44):
Saying the fast round, you're gonna be in for a fight.
Speaker 2 (12:46):
Boy, are you surprised that Spencer did with it? Who's
been a major contributor. He only got two minutes of
mop up duty tonight? I was surprised they went with
ExHAM as opposed to Spencer did with it.
Speaker 3 (12:58):
What is it that you think Jay Kids saw that.
Speaker 2 (13:01):
He says, you know what, the minutes that we normally
give Dinwiddy, We're gonna give those minutes to x him
because he played nineteen minutes and he was He had
eleven points, four for one of three, one on one
from the two three point line and two uh uh,
both of his free throws, had three rebounds, had what
whos six or sis a steal.
Speaker 1 (13:22):
He brings good energy. He bring good energy to the table.
I think Denwi is more of an offensive threat. Yeah's
gonna come in and he's gonna.
Speaker 3 (13:30):
Be more of an X factor.
Speaker 1 (13:32):
He's gonna play hard defensively, He's gonna knock down the
shots and the open especially in that corner. So I
think he probably just leaned a little more on X me,
probably because he had a little bit more confidence in
the night. And plus he's looking to get everybody involved,
as opposed to Spencer deal with looking to get his
shot out, didn't trying.
Speaker 3 (13:50):
To get into his bag.
Speaker 2 (13:51):
Yeah, yeah, he did what he said, playing for contract
bro to keep it, to keep it, the keeping the
buck with you. You gotta get this contract.
Speaker 3 (13:59):
You're right.
Speaker 2 (14:00):
I think the thing is with Edie look, he reminds
me that. I think the thing is when you look
at Memphis when they were at their best.
Speaker 3 (14:07):
They had what's the guy?
Speaker 2 (14:10):
Uh uh, what's to get the big guy that had
he just traded into Houston?
Speaker 3 (14:15):
Uh uh?
Speaker 2 (14:16):
Steve Yeah, but Steven Adams, Yeah, Joah was tremendous in
the pick and roll. He gave the Adams, gave them
extra opportunities. Zach Eddie can do that. But but but
Zach is gonna have to be more. He's gonna have
to be a little bit more active because I think
he's a better offensive weapon.
Speaker 3 (14:33):
He was player of the Year.
Speaker 2 (14:35):
No matter what you think of him his game college
game compared to the NBA, he was a player of
the year. He wasn't All American, and so he has
the offensive skills. Now, it's not gonna do you know
him shooting threes, But around the rim, I'm not so sure.
They run a whole lot of plays for him. He's
not a guy that you run a you want, Hey,
you want fourteen points, get it off the rim.
Speaker 3 (14:57):
There you go.
Speaker 1 (14:57):
You're going to get it off the rim because the
is having him on the floor or they gonna keep
him in picking rolls. You know what I mean, because
he's probably gonna play pay play back a lot of
the times. He's not gonna be up to the pick
right for for uh, for the guards, you know, that's
definitely essential for them trying to get to the basket
and just create opportunities for everybody on the squad.
Speaker 2 (15:18):
That's where Kyrie would be extra beneficial because you played,
you put it in the pick and roll, and you
know he doesn't want to hedge and he doesn't have
the ladder. He doesn't have the lateral quipment or the
excuse me, the quickness or to be able to drop back.
Speaker 3 (15:34):
So Kyrie like, oh yeah, this is oh.
Speaker 2 (15:38):
Barbecue chicken, barbeque, junkers, floaters pass his like it'll be
It'll been pretty scited to see. But like I said,
they got other guys in they team who who are
capable of having big nights, so even winning you a
game in the playoffs and that's what you need. Yeah,
Nick Marshall did a lot of having the ball tonight.
They let Clay bring it up early, but Nick Marshall
(15:58):
was really in charge. I thought ex him coming in
gave him a boost advantager. As you mentioned, Brandon Williams
was sensational. He was absolutely sensational. Seventeen points in eighteen minutes.
He got it and got it going early, and the
lead that was like eight nine all of a sudden
became eighteen nineteen twenty.
Speaker 3 (16:17):
Yeah, what's what's his name?
Speaker 4 (16:19):
No?
Speaker 3 (16:21):
Naiji?
Speaker 2 (16:23):
Oh, Naji Marshall, My bad, Naji Marshall. I thought you
was talking about Brandon wils I'm like, I'm seeing Williams. Yea,
Naji Marshall. He did a lot of ball handling, but
he's not He's not a natural point guard.
Speaker 3 (16:34):
He's not a natural facilitator.
Speaker 2 (16:36):
And I think that gets a lot of teams because
oh he can handle the ball. Just because you can
handle the ball doesn't mean you can run an offense.
And I think we saw that with the Phoenix Sons because.
Speaker 3 (16:47):
Booker, Yeah, book can handle the ball, but Booker is
a two. Yeah.
Speaker 2 (16:51):
You look at you go back and look at the
Sons and study them. They worked best win when they
had CP three yep, could get everybody. Hey, Katie, you
can get that shot right there, a book you can
get this right here. Yeah, stop pretending just because somebody
can handle the ball they can run an offense. Those
are two different things. All running an offense. It's just
like a quarterback. Oh, Joe, you know he could throw
(17:12):
the ball offense. Now going, don't Joe what you want
to say?
Speaker 7 (17:24):
Now, I just I just came back from using your head.
Speaker 3 (17:29):
Yeah, I'm bad.
Speaker 2 (17:30):
The earlier game, we saw the Miami Heat go on
the road and just do a demolition job the bull
Look the Bulls playing well.
Speaker 3 (17:44):
Uh as of late.
Speaker 9 (17:45):
Uh.
Speaker 2 (17:46):
You look at Kobe Kobe White. You look at Josh
Getty Bezillos.
Speaker 3 (17:51):
Uh.
Speaker 2 (17:51):
They got Boosevich, they got it back. Herder can knock
down the can knock down the threes. But Tyler he
rose in his back early and they really didn't have
an answer for him.
Speaker 3 (18:02):
You look at him.
Speaker 2 (18:02):
He was thirty the nineteen from the field, three or
seven from the three to nine of ten from the
free throw line.
Speaker 3 (18:08):
You had Bam gave you fifteen and twelve rebounds.
Speaker 2 (18:13):
Wiggins Andrew Wiggins gave you twenty points and nine rebounds.
They got the bitch. Davey Yon Mitchell gave you fifteen.
They just never late let the Bulls get into this game.
They took the crowd out early and the crowd was
never able to get into this game. Joe Man, Hey,
that's Heat culture.
Speaker 4 (18:32):
Man.
Speaker 1 (18:32):
They see those guys are proven. They didn't been to
the finals, they didn't play. They know what they'd like
to playing big games. And the Bulls kind of showed
their inexperience today because he just kind of went in
there and just took what they wanted.
Speaker 3 (18:45):
I like how Hero played.
Speaker 1 (18:46):
He was very, very efficient and he just caused hand
it all night Bam doing what he does defensively, being disruptive,
scoring making plays. I thought they had a great team
effort against the Bulls. The Bulls didn't really give me
what I looking for.
Speaker 3 (19:01):
I agree.
Speaker 7 (19:02):
Listen, let me tell you this is what you're gonna
expect from the Heat. This is what we did on
the road. So regardless that regards to I don't care
who our matchup is. Obviously, I'm gonna tell you this.
We might, we might come out to the East.
Speaker 3 (19:16):
So I don't I don't want.
Speaker 7 (19:17):
Anybody y'all come out of Miami. But don't don't do that.
Don't do that. Don't do that. Don't do that. Now
you saw what Band did to Night. You saw what
Tyler Hero did to Night. You saw the contribution we
got from everybody else. Heat come out the East. I
don't want to hear nothing about nobody was surprised or
we can't believe this happened. They let Jimmy Butler go
(19:37):
and they still were able to make it out of
the East.
Speaker 2 (19:40):
Y'all be lucky to get a game. Y'all be lucky
to get a game or two off the Calves. Hey, hey,
hold on, hold on, wait, wait, come again, y'all go
beating the Calves.
Speaker 7 (19:51):
You think tonight, do you think that the heat you
saw tonight won't won't be able to be the Caves?
Speaker 3 (19:56):
No, Hey, they gotta come here and beat the Hawks. Friend,
that what I'm talking about. That's what I'm talking about, Joe,
you talk about. They got to come to see the
Hawk on Friday. Baby, you're gonna be in this thing, ready,
you hear it? Hen we gotta be the hoop, the Hawk,
the Atlanta Hawks. He gonna come with you.
Speaker 7 (20:17):
Know, come on now, we tell you listen. I know,
I know, I know you're down in Atlanta. I know
you know you playing for the Hawks. But let's be serious.
Let let let's be serious with all, With all due respected,
Trey Young, I got there's nothing that the Atlanta Hawks
can do it the mining heat.
Speaker 3 (20:34):
So y'all going home.
Speaker 1 (20:35):
I got the Hawks, O Joe Friday, Baby, we're gonna
have Hey, we're gonna have that thing jump.
Speaker 3 (20:41):
And you hear me a t l all the way. Hey, Hey, y'all, y'all,
y'all gonna be jumping.
Speaker 2 (20:47):
But we're gonna be in Hey, you know, DC gonna
be in the House's he gonna be there.
Speaker 1 (20:51):
Come on now, hey, and it's gonna be found stunning
that thing. Joe to come on there, man, come chigure
it out with your boy.
Speaker 3 (21:00):
When when? When is the game Friday? This Friday?
Speaker 4 (21:04):
Uh?
Speaker 7 (21:05):
My daughter tracked me. She run at you at University
of Florida. You know, she run for the University of Entucky.
So I got to go to the track this weekend.
Speaker 4 (21:12):
Okay, who you got you better hit the float?
Speaker 3 (21:26):
Hey. Hey, so hey, listen, y'all want to make a
light little bit. No, no, you don't pay your bids.
Speaker 2 (21:32):
Oh yeah, and man, you don't pay No, I wouldn't
make nothing with you.
Speaker 3 (21:36):
Okay.
Speaker 7 (21:37):
I'm just I'm just making sure. I mean you you listen,
you believe, you believe so much in this. I mean
what you want to do put putting on the flow.
But I also believe in this whatch you have paid me?
Speaker 3 (21:47):
Man?
Speaker 7 (21:49):
Hey, Joe, I hate I hate the fact that we're
talking basketball right now. He's talking about that. Joe, you
got that. No, No, I mean Joe, you got cash,
I got it all. You got Apple paye, you got Venmo,
you got PayPal. Yeah, okay, case closed. He don't want
to download none of them. He could have had his
money by self.
Speaker 2 (22:07):
I don't have that, Joe. I don't have a whole
lot of apps on my phone. Okay, I don't have email,
and I think you have to have email to it
to to put this thing up. So why am I
gonna get Why don't you just give me my money?
You trying to get me to do all the Hey,
he want to download this? Right, Joe, you got cash up,
you got being more. Don't worry about what that man got.
Give me my damn money.
Speaker 1 (22:28):
Hey, that man spent this. That man spent that little
fifty two hundred. Yeah he better, I say, Hey, I
see him riding around my Hey man, seven hundred thousand,
hear ain't.
Speaker 3 (22:39):
And That's what I'm saying. They talking about.
Speaker 2 (22:41):
He played this man Hey, this man ain't playing in
my face.
Speaker 3 (22:44):
He put on a Broadway play in my face. Nowhere
here do it? Come on?
Speaker 1 (22:53):
My man, my man, man, I'm leaving them. I'm staying
out of there. I'm staying out of it. I ain't
got nothing, dog, Joe, don't stay out of it.
Speaker 7 (22:59):
Okay, trying to figure out Joe, if you honestly, honestly,
if you he know, I'm not the type of person
that carries cash.
Speaker 3 (23:09):
I never have been. I keep one hundred dollars on
me at the time in twenties.
Speaker 7 (23:13):
That's it. I don't care no cash. If you really
wanted your money, you're gonna download one of the apps,
created an email, and then deleted the app after I
sent you your money.
Speaker 2 (23:21):
How about this here, take your eBay from good times
looking at ass to the bank withdraw fifty two hundred dollars.
Ray me, my damn money. You keep on talking about
what I need to do. Why do I gotta do
all of this for money that you owe me? That's
(23:41):
just like if I if I owe the bank. Now,
what y'all need to do is to go sit up
this and to go sit up back.
Speaker 7 (23:47):
No, Hey, can I tell you something? What everything you do.
It dates back to prehistoric times. We are in twenty
twenty five. When people make transactions, they use apps that
make it very simple.
Speaker 3 (24:00):
We don't have to go to a bank and would
drum money here.
Speaker 7 (24:04):
If I owe you something, give me your cash app,
give me your Venmo, give me your PayPal email, give
me your Apple pay and I'm singing your fifty two
hundred the limited seventy five. I only owe you fifty two.
You didn't want to do that. I'm done everything possible.
I can just give you your money. So now you gotta
wait till I see you in June in Baltimore.
Speaker 2 (24:22):
Oh Joe, I just got I just got direct deposit
in twenty sixteen. Because Fox said they would not send
me a pay per check. I had to get direct
deposit in twenty sixteen. Up until that, everybody that I
had ever worked for gave me a check. CBS sent
me a check. I would go upstairs and get my
(24:42):
check from the Broncos and the Ravens.
Speaker 3 (24:45):
Did I like to see my money?
Speaker 1 (24:48):
Man?
Speaker 3 (24:48):
Oh?
Speaker 1 (24:48):
School man, you want to see it?
Speaker 3 (24:53):
No, you want to be George Flintstone so bad.
Speaker 9 (24:55):
I then start your car toot Come on, man, fremstole. Oh, George, George,
Fred John Jess, Oh my bad.
Speaker 2 (25:08):
Hey, when you go when you go to the bank,
how did they give you the money? They counted out
there right down in front of him. Yeah, that's.
Speaker 3 (25:16):
That's how I wanted to count mine out.
Speaker 7 (25:19):
That's how you start bad habits. Hey, with with drawing
any amount of money over one thousand dollars is how
you start bad habits.
Speaker 3 (25:30):
I'm just telling you how I live. You got your
way of living.
Speaker 2 (25:33):
I got my thots is that I let you slide
after the first week you paid by money. I should
have bet hell out you like Stuart did Brian that much?
Speaker 3 (25:41):
Hey?
Speaker 7 (25:42):
Hey, can I tell you one thing about beating me?
You know these hands and registered right, that's.
Speaker 2 (25:45):
Okay, my favorite register to.
Speaker 3 (25:53):
Yeah, I that he he told.
Speaker 7 (25:56):
Me when Hey, Joe and drawing interesting story, that's about.
Speaker 3 (26:05):
Talking.
Speaker 2 (26:12):
I'm just trying to figure out. I'm just trying to
figure out.
Speaker 3 (26:18):
Why do I have to download things to get my money?
Because it's convenienced. It's convenienced.
Speaker 2 (26:25):
It's not supposed to be convenient for you. It's supposed
to be convenient.
Speaker 3 (26:28):
From me exactly. That's why you download the app and
I just see you the money.
Speaker 7 (26:32):
It takes two seconds too, if we were the tussle,
how long it take to get rid of you and
drop you too shaken?
Speaker 2 (26:41):
I promise you, lord, I tell you what. I tell
you what me and you wreffle. I'll put that fifty
two under the up bad so not not make a
light on yourself. And I can I can give you.
I can give you a James Harrison gonna get how
you want it. We're gonna wreffle. We got a wrestler mat.
If I throw you, you owe me ten four. If
(27:02):
you throw meet me even.
Speaker 3 (27:04):
Can I ask your question? Ask me whatever you like?
But do you see that you think.
Speaker 7 (27:09):
You're throwing anything over here?
Speaker 3 (27:12):
You ain't the only one being in the gym now.
I'm just different over here.
Speaker 7 (27:15):
Now it's ain't the same ojo when we first started
the show.
Speaker 3 (27:18):
I'm two twenty.
Speaker 2 (27:19):
I promise you, whatever change, whatever change you got in
your pocket, I'm gonna slam your ass so hard it's
gonna come out.
Speaker 3 (27:25):
So whatever you got in your damn pockets, I guarantee
you just coming out. I ain't gonna go on your
pockets to get it.
Speaker 2 (27:30):
I'm gonna throw you on your damn head.
Speaker 3 (27:34):
Y'all got this man talking?
Speaker 2 (27:36):
Just an interesting story shows me, Joe, check this out.
An anonymous NBA exec host, the Mavericks keep Nico Harrison
in charge. It's always good to have a desperate GM
out there. They saying, it ain't no desperate.
Speaker 3 (27:55):
Look, you and I both know, Joe.
Speaker 2 (27:57):
When you move somebody like Luca, that's not a general
manager decision, that's ownership.
Speaker 3 (28:04):
Yeah.
Speaker 2 (28:05):
I give an example when they traded when when when
the when the Lakers traded shot, did anybody think that
was anybody else decision other than doctor Jerry Busses. That
wasn't Jerry West, That wasn't any Mitch cut check, that
wasn't anybody to jam. That was a doctor bus decision.
When you moved Luca, that is upper management, that's above
(28:27):
Nico's pay grade. Now Niko is taking all the hits,
all the bitchery, all the all the fans are giving
in everybody's kid, all the general managers keeping him in
charge when they know, damn well, that was Dumont call, period.
Speaker 1 (28:45):
And that's why that's why I say I feel like
the Manies got cheated because I still think with Kyrie
and the team that they have right now as playing
they had a chance to really make some noise in
the playoffs, so be a top seed in the playoffs.
They fight for their life right now and with the
end with them just with them just getting them up,
just getting they guys healthy. It's like everything just kind
(29:06):
of came crashing down all at once, you know what
I mean.
Speaker 3 (29:10):
It's like, dang, we traded our franchise guy in Luca.
Speaker 1 (29:13):
But not only that Kyrie get hurt on top of
all the other injuries that we that we keep a killing.
Speaker 3 (29:17):
He was hurt, Lively was hurt, Gabber got hurt.
Speaker 1 (29:20):
And just started stop piling and things just kind of
start going south. And I think that's what really, that's
what really put eyes on it, because they just start
going downhill from there.
Speaker 3 (29:31):
And Hey, I have a question.
Speaker 7 (29:34):
If management is responsible for the Luca trade, why are
they sitting back and let nego call and take all
the heat. Why don't they do it? Jerry Jones, do
does come out say something? Let the people know. Listen,
this is how we felt based on us having to
invested type of money we felt and Luca, we felt
it was in the best interest to make him move
instead of putting that kind of money into him for
the next five, five, seven years, wherever it may have been.
Speaker 3 (29:55):
That's simple.
Speaker 2 (29:57):
That's why a lot of times you put people in
position because you know, Poop rolled downhill, so it ain't
gonna stay up on the hill because the heill is
what the owners, So it's gonna roll down and cover Nico.
And Nico says, you know what, I'll take it. He
understand that's a part of his job is to take
some of that blowback. A lot of general managers. It's
just like anything people get up saying when general and
(30:18):
when you trade a player, when you trade a player
like that, the ownership.
Speaker 3 (30:25):
Ain't ain't the way they gonna overcome this. I'm saying.
Speaker 2 (30:28):
Let's say, let's say they end up losing to Memphis
and they get kad this something. Okay, now you've been
right back, But Joe, let me ask you this because
this notion that if you drop kd in you're automatically
a championship contending team. Now maybe that was upon a
time you dropped him into Golden State, but they were
(30:50):
seventy three and nine.
Speaker 3 (30:51):
That didn't work.
Speaker 2 (30:52):
Out in Brooklyn, and it was it went horrible it
He went even worse than Phoenix that it did in Brooklyn.
And we know how it in Brooklyn. So are we
sure we know how great? Historically great KD is. He's
one of the great all time bucket getters, as efficient
as anybody has ever been that mainly shoots the ball
(31:13):
and doesn't play with his back to the rim. But
are we sure if we drop KD in anywhere they
are a championship contending team.
Speaker 6 (31:21):
Ah?
Speaker 3 (31:22):
Now we're not sure, you know.
Speaker 1 (31:24):
I think it'll be a good look because everything still
kind of centers around Kyrie.
Speaker 3 (31:30):
Is he gonna come back? When? When is he gonna
start playing again? That's gonna be when next year?
Speaker 2 (31:34):
Probably I'm thinking what I'm thinking the twenty sixth season. Yeah,
see with just Durant and a D, I mean, I
like it, but I just need that PG. I need
I need Kyrie at the one healthy man. Yes, yeah,
and look I agree, But here's the thing. Do you
have the assets? There's only a handful of teams that
(31:56):
can appease maybe what the Penis Sons won't as a
players and the ass the draft capital.
Speaker 3 (32:03):
That's ok C. I don't think k D wants to
go back to O k.
Speaker 2 (32:08):
C because I'm gonna want I'm gonna want j I'm
gonna tell you now, I'm gonna want Jayleen Williams.
Speaker 3 (32:14):
I'm gonna want Lou Dort.
Speaker 2 (32:16):
I'm gonna get Chat Hungry, the Hardenstein, and I'm gonna
need three and four draft picks.
Speaker 7 (32:21):
But this is the thing, if KD had I let's say,
if KD does happen to go to A k C,
the production and that you get offensively having Kat there
with h g A.
Speaker 2 (32:31):
It can replash losing those those players, no, because what
makes them so good is the perimeter defenders. Jaylen Williams
tremendous on the ball. You got, Lou Dort tremendous on
the ball. You're gonna take I'm gonna take one of
those big because I need a big. That's what I
need in Phoenix because when you had when you had
d A. DeAndre Ayton, But for whatever reason, him and
(32:52):
many couldn't get along. He wanted to they reluctantly, They
waited till the last minute, and then uh, I think
they matched Indie up. I think Indiana put an offer
on him and they ended up matching him, and he
hated that, and so he ended up they ended up
going to Portland and the Philipart and Money got fired.
They bring in Frank Vogel, he gets fired. They bring
in Mike Buenholzer, he gets fired. So it's like, hold on,
(33:16):
you got eighty million dollars tied up in coaches.
Speaker 3 (33:18):
That's not going to coach for you net next year.
Speaker 2 (33:22):
So I get it, But I think the thing is
that we might need to And look, I'm looking at it.
I don't know without looking at it, what the Mavericks
have as far as draft compensation. Now, they didn't have
to give up any they had to give up something
because they traded for Kyrie. Yeah, now what what actually
did they give up to get Kyrie? Right now? You
(33:45):
get what the twenty twenty eight first round pick from
the Lakers, and you got Max Christad inn ad.
Speaker 3 (33:51):
That's really the only draft compensation that you got.
Speaker 2 (33:54):
You need multiple because think about what you gave up
to get KD all those draft picks that you gave up,
and you gave up two young solid players. You gave
up Michael Bridges, and you gave up Cam Johnson. Yeah, yeah,
so you're gonna have to replace that. Now, maybe maybe Joe.
They still have Isaiah Joe who can defend. They still
(34:16):
have Called Wiggins who can defend. You have Cruso who
can defend. So they might be willing to give up
a Jalen Williams, give up a lou Dort, give up
a heart and sign give up three first round draft picks.
Speaker 3 (34:31):
Because they got so many draft picks.
Speaker 2 (34:34):
But if, but if I'm Phoenix, I need players that
can come in and play. But I also need that
draft compensation to restart the conference of what I gave
up to get KD.
Speaker 1 (34:45):
And you don't want to give up your blue collar workers, man,
not all your blue collars. I like hearen Stein dork
them blue collar workers says, you know that they play
big men's defense. Understand their role. Yeah, there we go.
They definitely understand their role. They gonna play it and
they're gonna start in it. So, uh, it's hard giving
up players like that.
Speaker 4 (35:02):
Man.
Speaker 3 (35:04):
Oh, Joe, what you thinking? I like it? I like it?
Excuse me? I like it?
Speaker 7 (35:11):
Oh my goodness, I don't. I don't. I don't think
it's gonna happen. Oh he's moving. It's just aware you're
not gonna move it.
Speaker 3 (35:18):
Yeah.
Speaker 7 (35:19):
But I told you I wanted to go. If it doesn't,
if it's not okay, see if it's not Dallas. Obviously,
I like Joe saying, you know when it happened in Dallas.
But you're gonna come on down here to Miami, man,
come on here, down to Miami. I think, Pat, we
need we need a superstar. We need a superstar. I'm
not saying it's le Bron Tyler Hero.
Speaker 3 (35:38):
We're not giving away.
Speaker 1 (35:39):
Bam.
Speaker 3 (35:39):
We're not giving up.
Speaker 4 (35:39):
Bam.
Speaker 3 (35:40):
You ain't giving up Tyler giving up Tyler Bro.
Speaker 2 (35:45):
No, remember hold up three years hold up with it
three years ago, Joe, he had an opportunity to get
James Harden and he wouldn't include Tyler. He rode in
the package. You think he gonna give up Tyler? He
wrote after he just watched him. He averaged twenty three.
He's probably gonna win sixth Man of the Year. He
just dropped thirty eight in a playoff game. And you
think he's gonna get that up? And Tyler Hero can't
(36:07):
be no more than what twenty three? Twenty four joke?
Yeah about twenty four.
Speaker 7 (36:12):
We all we all talk about one of the greatest
scores of all time we talk about right, we talk
about that KD. We talk about that Kevin Durant. Yeah, right, Okay,
I'm just I'm just.
Speaker 3 (36:21):
Curious, all is KD? What are you? Thirty seven thirty
six thirty seven. Yeah.
Speaker 2 (36:27):
The MAVs have traded out of the twenty twenty seven
what for what one two protected twenty eight twenty nine
first round picks and a twenty thirty pickswap with San Antonio.
Speaker 3 (36:37):
They ain't got nothing off of snoop on. Women used
to say, hey, hey, you gonna get me there? What
you want me to get in?
Speaker 2 (36:45):
When son asks him out, what what what's going off
with joke? Hey, listen, I don't know, but uh, I
just figured he went to school in Texas. I feel
like he'll go back to Texas and play.
Speaker 3 (36:59):
Okay, give it to you.
Speaker 1 (37:03):
Yeah, I know, but I don't know. They're gonna have
to figure out something. It's gonna have to be a
three team trade fourteen. It gonna be some team get
in with him or something, and listen, you have.
Speaker 2 (37:14):
To take But the question is what about Okay, A
D gonna want an extension, Kyrie gonna want an extension.
Speaker 3 (37:30):
Kyrie gonna get his in off season. He gonna get
his in all season.
Speaker 7 (37:35):
But it doesn't matter what Phoenix does right, they will
never be able to get back the conversation or the
value that they gave up to get KD.
Speaker 3 (37:42):
You never will. You never will.
Speaker 7 (37:45):
So at some point, you, knowing that he wants to move,
you're gonna have to do the best you can. And
the best thing they can do is sit him right
here down in the Miami I'm gonna call the Pat.
I'm gonna tell Pat Patt this. You got to change
your ways. You ate if Pat Riley is like you
a little bit. Yeah, he's stuck. He's stuck in the eighties,
he's stuck in the nineties. But he's doing everything, he's
doing everything the opposite way as opposed to the times
(38:08):
we're in.
Speaker 3 (38:10):
And that's hurt that's hurt us. It's an organization. And
me as a Heat, don't go down.
Speaker 1 (38:15):
There and playing with Pat trying to hear all that.
And that's the thing the old Joe think about it.
Speaker 2 (38:20):
The Lakers had excuse me, the Heat had won back
to back championships. They're in the midst of a twenty
seven game winning streat and Pat want to plume his feathers.
Speaker 3 (38:31):
He want to puff out his chest. He gonna take
the cookies.
Speaker 2 (38:35):
Kay, you gotta understand you have to do In basketball,
stars have always stars have always run the NBA. Pat
needs to understand that you you have to It has
to be a little bit more give and take.
Speaker 3 (38:49):
Joe even that when you were in there, it's more get.
Speaker 2 (38:53):
The players are fully in power now now they're trying
to wrestle some of it back. And you see the
trade with Luca. It had everybody on their shelves. You
heard Jannis, I guess ain't nobody saying. Ain't nobody said?
You hear all the guys talking. Yeah, Pat's gonna have
to look Pat. Everybody knows what I hate is when
people try to bro We know you in control, Pat,
(39:16):
but cookies? Hey, d Wade, J d Wade said. Lebron
pushed back from the table, the.
Speaker 3 (39:23):
Card table and sat there.
Speaker 4 (39:26):
Bet.
Speaker 3 (39:27):
Hey, he ain't no more cards? And you know, Joe,
were you playing cards? We're from the area.
Speaker 2 (39:33):
If you push back from the table and you start playing,
it takes up some real serious to break up a
card game.
Speaker 3 (39:38):
Yeah, a car a card game? Yeah? Where you playing? Talk?
Speaker 2 (39:41):
You playing buull ray you playing cuts. I don't care
what you play is. But if the card you break,
the card game up o Joe, it's something serious. Yeah, okay,
and then you will try to come on there. Hey,
pull your rings out of your pocket. You need man
bron said later for you playing for you, not look
at it. Jimmy Butler did the same thing. But let's say, huddle.
Speaker 6 (40:08):
All.
Speaker 2 (40:08):
I would need to look at d Wade after everything
d Wade did, d Wade pat Roddy got no layd
to Now, Hey, look, the only person he's ever had
Lordy two was who U d because ud turned that
big deal down from from Dallas, took less money and
they took care of you.
Speaker 3 (40:25):
D I get that.
Speaker 2 (40:26):
But your best player with Dwayne Wade, And you mean
to tell me he had to go to Chicago after
all the back seats that he took so you could
get playoffs.
Speaker 3 (40:34):
I was on that team.
Speaker 1 (40:35):
I was on that team all playing with d Wade
that last year in Miami, and uh, we always created.
It was a lot of us that was created after
the year. And they was like, man, you know y'all,
y'all gonna come back to Miami. And of course I
wouldn't loved to came back to Miami. But when we
started negotiations, uh, d Wade was just trying to get
ten a year. He was just trying to get ten years.
(40:56):
And man, they threw a fit at d Wade. I'm like, man,
they ain't got Wade County and everything got there.
Speaker 3 (41:02):
He can't get nothing. I ain't calling Pat.
Speaker 1 (41:05):
I said, let me just up. I'm gonna just go
to Utah. I'mna kick it with these boys over here.
In you Tahn was gonna raise some hell over there.
Speaker 3 (41:13):
Hey, Joe, only only they gave him fit only at
ten a year? Only ten?
Speaker 1 (41:19):
Yeah, man, Yeah, that man was just trying to get
ten a year. And I seen all the trouble he
was having.
Speaker 3 (41:23):
Me with it. I'm like, hold on, it ain't need me,
It ain't even it ain't even it.
Speaker 1 (41:27):
Ain't even no need of my representation calling past. We
just might have keep it moving, you know.
Speaker 2 (41:33):
Time, that's a that's a phone calling some I might
need that oxygen down the road somewhere. And I raced
four minute with him. No, hey you Tah, Okay, I'll
be there, don't worry about it.
Speaker 4 (41:46):
Yeah.
Speaker 3 (41:48):
And that's the thing though, Oh, Joe.
Speaker 2 (41:49):
If you think about it, after everything that d Wade
had done, all the sacrifice that he had taken, he
had helped recruit Bosh, he had helped recruit Lebron, he
took less money because they would say, hey, we need
you to take less money.
Speaker 3 (42:00):
We're gonna get KD. We're gonna get KD.
Speaker 2 (42:02):
Okay with KD don't come and you gave boss that
big ye Okay, what what break read now?
Speaker 3 (42:07):
Yeah?
Speaker 2 (42:08):
Right? Yeah, And so that's why I don't look, I
don't feel bad when players leave because it's LOWD is
a one side of equation. Yeah, they want players to
be lofty and loyal, and then when you don't, when
you don't do what they say, they like, well, he's
not serious about winning.
Speaker 3 (42:25):
No, I would Hey, look at Boston.
Speaker 2 (42:28):
They win it and they got two of the high
paid guys on them in the NBA, Boston making them
a three hundred million And you just gave you just
gave a Derek White like one, you gave Holiday like
one thirty.
Speaker 3 (42:41):
Yeah, so long, huh. They gave preaches something to what
they get Precher.
Speaker 2 (42:47):
They gave little Preacher and they're about to do something
with prizingers hey, hey, hey, but you Harper and you
know when you win, you know, everybody heat you know
what I mean?
Speaker 1 (42:58):
Yes, so you know they on that title and I'm
sure they't looking to repeat. Uh, it's gonna be tough
to knock them boys off.
Speaker 6 (43:05):
Man.
Speaker 1 (43:05):
This is this is probably the most interesting playoffs that
we probably had in quite some time because the one
in the ah Seeds are gonna be.
Speaker 3 (43:13):
Tough, especially Yeah, oh yeah for sure.
Speaker 2 (43:17):
Yeah, and uh but the pack gotta realize pack ain't
nobody coming to see you play.
Speaker 3 (43:24):
He wants to be the central theme. You know, he's
he's a central theme without making any noise. He oh no,
he does.
Speaker 2 (43:32):
He doing some back legs stuff behind the under the scene.
Everybody go running the show.
Speaker 3 (43:36):
Yeah. See, my thing is O Joe.
Speaker 2 (43:38):
If I if you say, well, hey Shan, I'm gonna
give you the hairs the job, I'm gonna pay you X,
I'm gonna let you have access.
Speaker 3 (43:45):
I'm gonna let X, Y and Z.
Speaker 2 (43:47):
Now when you get me there, don't think you're gonna
change up because I'm a buck. I'm gonnat up. I'm
just gonna tell you how it is beat being one
way with me. When you tell me what I get. Okay,
that's it.
Speaker 3 (44:01):
That's it.
Speaker 2 (44:02):
You tell me I get a room, I get a
suite on the road. Don't you come here talking about hey, well,
they have no sweets available. You should have booked this
in advance. Just just do I'm always gonna be this high, am, Joe.
Speaker 3 (44:17):
Just do what you say. I don't want you to
do anything if we didn't agree to it. Don't, Joe.
Speaker 2 (44:22):
I'm cool with it. I'm absolutely cool with it. But boy,
you tell me something and then you gonna do it
and do another, don't worry about it. Don't. I don't
even hold you right. But I just want you to know.
The first chance I get, I'm an exit stage left. Yeah,
(44:43):
I infen argue. I have fend to argue with you,
you know, because a lot of time love well he
difficult to If you tell me something and you don't
follow through, you better believe I'm difficult. I'm a difficult
mofo to deal with, absolutely one thousand. So you're not
dealing with the game. I don't just be o, Joe.
I've always been tell me the truth. I might not
(45:07):
like it, but I can stomach it because I feel
you're being honest with.
Speaker 3 (45:11):
Me, honest. Yes, if you lie on me one time,
don't even worry about it.
Speaker 2 (45:17):
And one you don't give nobody no grace, not when
it not when it's not when it comes to business.
Speaker 3 (45:22):
Oh, because now I can't trust you, Ojo.
Speaker 2 (45:26):
Your word, your word need to be what it is.
If I give you, I'm gonna pay you ten dollars.
I'm gonna give you ten dollars, not nine fifty, not
eight seventy five. I'm gonna give you ten. But don't
bring your ass here talking about we agreed to thirteen.
Speaker 3 (45:40):
Kno out here.
Speaker 2 (45:40):
Look here is that your signature right there? Okay, we
agreed to ten. That's how I am, O, Joe. I
don't know how you guys are, Joe, but just be
straight up with me out.
Speaker 3 (45:50):
In the same way, bro, the same way. I totally understand.
I totally understand. Hey, check this out, Joe, You're gonna
get a kick out of this one.
Speaker 2 (45:59):
The Clipper use Ben Simmons as Nicola Jokic and the
scout team at practice.
Speaker 1 (46:07):
Man, huh, you better use I bet, I bet I've
been being probably killed in that role. Gods, it'd be
different sometimes you put him in practice, you make him
beat somebody else, man, they will actually probably play better
than him in time.
Speaker 3 (46:22):
I just think he's afraid to shoot though his man.
I watched, I watched the game the other I watched
the game the other.
Speaker 1 (46:28):
Day against the Warriors. Actually and uh Man had point
blade layer man and he he just so yes, I
think I think you look at his height because he's
six nine sixteen. But man, that man is a true
point guard. Man, he's a true guard. Yeah, he's a
past first point guard.
Speaker 2 (46:49):
Well, he's a past first not shoot at all point guard,
which he's not very good.
Speaker 3 (46:53):
It's not not not not in today's game.
Speaker 2 (46:56):
Not in today's game, because get the three point shot
in the space. We have a very special guest joining
us w w E superstar Ah here. She is the
only woman. Go ahead as she is Bianca bel Air Beyonca.
Speaker 3 (47:17):
How you do it?
Speaker 10 (47:18):
I'm doing good. I'm in Vegas, I'm getting ready for WrestleMania.
So I'm doing good.
Speaker 7 (47:21):
How are you?
Speaker 3 (47:23):
I'm good?
Speaker 2 (47:23):
So let me ask you a question. You getting ready
for WrestleMania. Tell me what you're going through? So once
the steps now, okay, it's a couple of days away
from WrestleMania. Are you doing anything different? Are you eating
anything different? You're making sure you get your rest?
Speaker 3 (47:36):
What?
Speaker 1 (47:36):
What?
Speaker 3 (47:36):
What are you going through?
Speaker 10 (47:37):
No, I'm locked in.
Speaker 11 (47:38):
It's WrestleMania, so wrestmanias are super Bowl. So yeah, I'm dieting. Listen,
my body is full of water, grilled chicken, broccoli. I'm
over here, like working out. I'm beg and strong right now, bigger.
Speaker 3 (47:54):
Than yours, don't yoe? And you know I ay, B
can I kind of call you? I got to get
a nickname.
Speaker 10 (48:01):
Yeah, that's good, It's good.
Speaker 3 (48:02):
Okay, Now I understand when it comes to rastling.
Speaker 7 (48:05):
Now I'm known historically for my bad diet and still
being able to play at a high level eating McDonald's
only is it is your diet strict? Are you vegetarian,
vegan or I don't know some of these other names.
Or you have cheat meals as well?
Speaker 10 (48:21):
I have cheap meals.
Speaker 11 (48:22):
So I'm somebody. I'm somebody who I don't like to.
I'm moderation right like, I don't want to like cut
anything out. If I want it, I have it in moderation.
But when it's WrestleMania, I like in.
Speaker 3 (48:34):
I pretty much.
Speaker 11 (48:35):
I tried to have cheat meals. So I'm ready for Sunday.
I'm on night to WrestleMania. And after Sunday, after I
the CEO and Rhea and I take that title. I'm
a Dama Donalds Bright the next day.
Speaker 3 (48:48):
So tell me about the troop. So tell us about
the Troop of Threat match? How does that go? Yeah?
Speaker 10 (48:53):
So I have a title match. I'm in a triple
dirt match.
Speaker 11 (48:55):
I'm going against Rear Rifleet and right now our w
W Women's ship being this EO Sky. So it's a
triple threat and whoever gets the first pin wins. So
at this point, I won an elimination chamber. I'm supposed
to be going to WrestleMania. I was supposed to be.
I was supposed to be facing real Eeo Scott and
it's just been a bunch of shenan again. It's like
my path thro WrestleMania has been crazy. I ended up
(49:16):
being a special guest but free and so now it's
a triple threat. So that's why I'm going up against
the WrestleMania.
Speaker 3 (49:23):
Oh okay, now hold on what happened?
Speaker 4 (49:25):
You?
Speaker 3 (49:26):
Jade and Naomi, y'all were cool? No, Ja, my girl.
Speaker 10 (49:30):
What hold on?
Speaker 4 (49:31):
Now?
Speaker 3 (49:31):
Hey, if there's a BIB, I don't know, I might
have to come down there Beyonca something. Now, what's really
going on?
Speaker 11 (49:37):
It's crazy right now WrestleMania season, it gets crazy and
it breaks my heart.
Speaker 10 (49:41):
Yeah, you know, it's so much has happened in the
year last WrestleMania. You had the Big Three, you had me.
Speaker 11 (49:47):
Jay and Naomi. We were having the tag match, Jade
and I. We were an attack team together.
Speaker 10 (49:54):
We did amazing things.
Speaker 11 (49:55):
We put the Taxing Division on the map, and then
it's just a lot happened. You know, Jay got taken
out and Naomi stepped in so that I wouldn't have
to relinquish that title because I felt like we put
so much hard work into it. And so the whole
time we're trying to figure out who took Jade out
and come to find out it was Naomi.
Speaker 4 (50:14):
Who it was?
Speaker 10 (50:18):
Naomi? Trust me, I was just as confused as everybody else.
Speaker 3 (50:24):
J came back.
Speaker 10 (50:24):
I thought she was coming back. Listen, I done been
loud and wrong the whole time.
Speaker 11 (50:28):
I've been attacking other girls, thinking they the ones that
didn't making enemies.
Speaker 10 (50:32):
Jay came back. I think I'm thinking she coming for Live.
She started beating up Naomi.
Speaker 3 (50:37):
I'm like, what is going on?
Speaker 11 (50:39):
So at this point, I feel like I'm now stuck
in the middle. Uh, you know, Jay, she I don't
think she trusted me right now, and I'm like, what,
I'm confused. So right now I feel like we're trying
to get through WrestleMania. Jade has a match with Naomi,
which breaks my heart. I have a triple threat match,
and I think we're trying to get through her. Then
(51:00):
you know, maybe we'll revisit that and try to figure
all that out.
Speaker 10 (51:05):
It's crazy.
Speaker 7 (51:06):
Hey, you know what, speaking speaking of speaking of WrestleMania, listen,
you've you've created some historic, historic moments and WrestleMania obviously,
and looking back if you if you're able to look back,
what's your favorite WrestleMania memory moments so far?
Speaker 10 (51:19):
Are you?
Speaker 1 (51:19):
Well?
Speaker 11 (51:19):
I mean, I definitely have to go with main event
in WrestleMania with Sasha Banks. Uh, we made history. We
were the first two black women to to Maine event WrestleMania.
It was coming right off of the pandemic, so it
was a crazy time in the world. But I was
I was a rookie, my very first year I found
myself in the main event in WrestleMania. I won the
SmackDown Titer. We won an spof of that match, so
(51:41):
we got recognized in the world of sports, which I'm
all about because I've been athlete my whole life. So
and ever since that moment, like it's just changed the
whole strectory of my career. It's been uphill since then.
But that's that's the memory that's always going to stick
with me because it was more than just about having
a wrestling match, you know, like it was about inspiring
generations to come and be in representation.
Speaker 10 (52:03):
So that's definitely like the moment that sticks with me.
Speaker 1 (52:06):
Right Hey, I want to ask a question. This is Joe, Uh,
what's your what's your regiment as far as working out?
I see you cut up over there? What you how
you stay tall? What you're doing yoga pilates? What's the secret?
Speaker 3 (52:20):
Cut up like a bag of dopes?
Speaker 10 (52:24):
Listen, listen, I don't do yoga and politess, I can't
sit still.
Speaker 11 (52:29):
I'm a I'm a girl who I lift very heavyweight.
I do a lot of circuit training, but I live
very heavyweight. I do a lot of circuit training like
CrossFit type of training.
Speaker 10 (52:41):
But I can't sit still. I can't get with the
yoga and pilates.
Speaker 1 (52:44):
That that CrossFit. It's not a lot of risks in that.
It's just like constant, constant moving.
Speaker 11 (52:49):
Huh yeah, it's to me, it's like the best thing
to do to kind of simulates wrestling because it's full
body movements and it's just like circuit training.
Speaker 2 (52:58):
Yeah, so you're more over hip. You have a hit
type of workout. You like high intensively, and you like
to keep it going. So I'm gonna do I'm gonna
do this for an hour. I know I'm gonna born
maximum calories. I'm getting full body because look, everybody ain't
got tired. I would hit chest and tried. I'm gonna
hit back by ham streams today. I would get quabed tomorrow.
I'm gonna do.
Speaker 3 (53:17):
You know, I'm trying to get it to eight. I
got a small amount of time I'm gonna get in
the gym.
Speaker 2 (53:23):
I'm gonna kill it all me in back shoulders, ams,
ham stream glue.
Speaker 10 (53:28):
We gonna do a full body workout.
Speaker 11 (53:30):
I mean we travel a lot, so like we we
always have to try to find whatever gym might be
a hotel gym, whatever gym is on the corner that day. Like,
so we have to try to like adjust to what
we're doing. So I'm always trying to get the best
workout in. I'm always a hit girl. I'm not doing cardio.
Listens to hit and I love the piloton, Like I
stay on the piloton. That's the only way I can
(53:51):
do cardio.
Speaker 3 (53:51):
On the Yeah. So but when you let me ask
you this, when you work out, do you have do
you like listen to music? Or you just I do?
I do? I do?
Speaker 10 (54:02):
But my my playlist is like all over the place.
Speaker 3 (54:05):
I'd be.
Speaker 11 (54:07):
I'd be having like Meg and Carty and then next
thing you know, it's Kurt Franklin. Like listen to a
lot of gospel music when I work out, because I'll
be going through it.
Speaker 10 (54:17):
I'm like, Lord, just Jesus take the will help.
Speaker 11 (54:20):
Me get through this because when people'll be asking me,
can I come work out with you?
Speaker 10 (54:24):
And I'd be like, I don't think you want to
do that, because I mean I'll be getting it in.
Speaker 3 (54:30):
What what what different? What different sports did you did
you play growing up?
Speaker 11 (54:34):
So I started out with it with track and field
and gymnastics. So those were those were like my two bases,
which I feel like, yeah, that's my foundation, track and
field and gymnastics, and I did those sports majority of
my life.
Speaker 10 (54:50):
I played basketball as well, but I'm sorry.
Speaker 3 (54:55):
I mean I.
Speaker 4 (54:57):
Was.
Speaker 3 (54:58):
I was good on defense.
Speaker 10 (55:00):
I I got the three.
Speaker 3 (55:04):
Listen I say that.
Speaker 7 (55:06):
I say that the ass like what sports you played
growing up? And I just want to know at what
point was a transition for you? Really when you realize
you know, erassed is my calling and not the other
sports that I played as a as a as.
Speaker 11 (55:17):
A young Yeah, that didn't happen until I was an adult.
I was twenty seven. So I went to college in
rand track. I went to University of side cond textas
a and M and University of Tennessee. I ran track
and after after college, I was like, I've been asking
my whole life, I have to do something. So that's
when I found CrossFit, and I realized, like, my whole life,
(55:39):
I've been grinding and trying to get a scholarship and
working so hard. I was forgetting to have fun when
I was working, when I was playing sports. So CrossFit
I was like, Okay, I'm having fun. I'm gonna make
it some of my own outfits. I was going out
there in two tubes. I was turning flips and then
doing the power clean, impressed and grabbing the microphone and
talking to the audience. And Mark Hemry, who's a the
w W Hall of Fami, he saw a video of me.
(55:59):
He's like, you're basically a wrestler. You're basically wearing wrestling gear,
you're talking to the audience. And I didn't really watch
wrestling growing up. My brother watched it, so I would
watch it here and there with him. So I was
just somebody who didn't know much about the business. So
he got me a tryout and I did two tryouts,
(56:20):
got hired, had no idea what I was doing, and
then I completely fell in love with it. So I
love meeting people who always say like, I don't watch wrestling,
that's not for me, or I haven't watched it since
back in the day, and I'm like, listen, that used
to be me. Just just come to a show, just
watching you gonna fall in love. So much has changed
and so I feel like it's my soulmate. Like I
think of it as like my husband. Like once wrestler
(56:43):
came into my life. I'm like, where have you been
this whole time?
Speaker 10 (56:46):
This is what I've been looking for.
Speaker 3 (56:48):
Wow, now you know J played college basketball also one
on one? Who who who went it?
Speaker 11 (57:02):
Listen? We did hot ones and we had to play
basketball and she whopped me.
Speaker 3 (57:08):
She whipped me.
Speaker 10 (57:10):
I tell myself to esc but she she whopped me
in basketball.
Speaker 3 (57:14):
Yeah, she's no, she's.
Speaker 2 (57:15):
She's really athletic. I've seen her workout a couple of times.
She used to train with the trainer that trained me
when I retired. No, she she she's y'all work out.
Have y'all worked out together?
Speaker 10 (57:26):
We haven't. Every time we went on we were going
the broad we would try to get together and work out.
Speaker 3 (57:30):
Well.
Speaker 11 (57:31):
Actually one time we didn't work out, but we actually
read our mouths more than we worked out, So that didn't.
Speaker 10 (57:36):
That didn't go well.
Speaker 3 (57:39):
Here's the thing.
Speaker 2 (57:40):
Charlotte Flair and Tiffany Stratton got a little personal with
their comments. Did you do you think they crossed the line?
And you say, oh, don't worry about it. When I
get y'all ass in that ring, we'll settle this.
Speaker 11 (57:51):
Listen, in wrestling, you never know what's gonna happen. That's
what's really cool about wrestling. That's what makes it entertaining.
You never know when like lines are being blurred and
when they're not being blurred. And you know, I think
that with what happened in the ring, it caused at
a conversation online and it brought more eyes to to
what's about to happen. And all I can say is,
(58:11):
I feel like a lot more people are going to
be tuned in to what's gonna be happening at WrestleMania
and whatever beef they got inside and outside of the ring,
they're gonna settle that resume and we all gonna be
locked and watching.
Speaker 3 (58:22):
You know what I like?
Speaker 1 (58:23):
I like that you got something joke. I'm gonna be
tuned in. I don't want to see what they're talking about,
see what they got going on exactly.
Speaker 7 (58:31):
I got what I got, I got, I got one
more question, I got one more. If you could have
a dream match with any w W E legend, past
or present, who.
Speaker 3 (58:39):
Would you choose?
Speaker 10 (58:42):
I would have to go with.
Speaker 5 (58:44):
Who?
Speaker 10 (58:45):
It's hard to pick one?
Speaker 3 (58:48):
Christ Uh.
Speaker 10 (58:50):
You know tris she she she's she just came in
and like had a couple of matches. She still can
throw down in that ring she gets down.
Speaker 11 (58:58):
But for me, I think it would be BET's Phoenix, Yes,
just because she was like one of the first ones
that I watched and I saw her pick up two
girls on her shoulders.
Speaker 10 (59:06):
And I'm like yeah, and I'm like I want to
do that, Like I want to do that Bet Phoenix
and in jazz, those would be my top two.
Speaker 3 (59:15):
Okay, I like it. I like it.
Speaker 2 (59:17):
We saw your recently return to your high school to
donate hurdles. You mentioned that you played it. You ran
track at Universus South Carolina, Tennessee, Texas.
Speaker 3 (59:26):
Ad M. Curtis Fry, head coach at Texas.
Speaker 2 (59:29):
At South Carolina, I think if mckennan now because he
used to be at LSU now he's at Texas adem
correct Ooh.
Speaker 3 (59:36):
I'm not sure.
Speaker 10 (59:36):
When I was there was coach Anderson in Texait Okay.
Speaker 3 (59:40):
Yeah, So what was your fondest memory of high school?
Speaker 2 (59:45):
I mean, because obviously you were very athletic, you had
to be one of the most popular girls at that school.
Speaker 10 (59:51):
I was, you know what, I was popular, but not
because I had a lot of friends.
Speaker 11 (59:56):
I was actually very quiet and reserved into myself, into
myself off in high school, I had like a very
select group of friends, like my best friends to this day.
Was my best friend when I was like eight years old,
even through high school. But it's I was so locked
in with track, Like wh everybody else was at parties.
Speaker 10 (01:00:13):
I was on the track running.
Speaker 11 (01:00:15):
I was waking up in the morning doing I would
do a thousand abs every morning and like three hundred
push ups every morning, and I was I was focused
in high school. But I think my best It's crazy,
my best memories were on the track with the track team.
Like we we we were like my group of friends.
(01:00:38):
That was like the first lesson of like women empowerment
for me because we really stuck together. We really pushed
each other and we trained hard, like we were still
friends to this day. And then I think like my
high school. I think like football games, like my high
school the band Mimic, the HBCU type of band. Oh yeah,
(01:01:02):
I was a yeah, I was a cheerleader and I
played basketball, and so like we were my chelein team.
Speaker 10 (01:01:09):
We were at the Clovers, so we were more of
a step team.
Speaker 11 (01:01:13):
And like I would I would play basketball with the
girls and then after the game, I would go in
the locker room and switch over from my basketball uniform
into my cheerlead uniform.
Speaker 10 (01:01:23):
Then I would go out and then cheer for the
boys and flip down the court.
Speaker 7 (01:01:26):
Yeah.
Speaker 11 (01:01:27):
So those were like my fondest memories. It all like
revolved around like sports and stuff.
Speaker 2 (01:01:34):
Say, in all my life, I've been look, I've been,
I was in four h i was raised on the farm.
I've been to the county fair. I ain't never heard
nods like that. I'm a.
Speaker 3 (01:01:47):
For the weapon. And then I would go change out.
I give a cheerleader. I'm on the big Oh god,
dangn I was a body of experiment. I was the base. Yeah.
Speaker 7 (01:02:01):
Hey, hearing the story, hearing your stories about track, it
resonates with me so well because obviously my daughter run
track right now for University of Kentucky, and she she's
a sophomore, and her friend, her whole core group of
nucleus is actually those that run track with her, because
there's nobody really outside of that, and that that that's
really dope.
Speaker 11 (01:02:19):
Really Yeah, man, I always feel like women in sports
we learn our best lessons, whether whether you're going to
become an olympian or a professional athlete or not. You
learn so many lessons when it comes to sports, and
you get so many friends that become lifelong friends.
Speaker 10 (01:02:34):
So I'm happy she's having a great experience.
Speaker 3 (01:02:37):
Yeah, but you go ahead, go ahead, Joe.
Speaker 1 (01:02:41):
What about your athletic building, which which pay doesn't come
from you, comes from your mom or your dad, from both.
Speaker 10 (01:02:48):
From both. My mama said she was fast, and.
Speaker 11 (01:02:53):
She said, well, no, you know, neither one of them
actually played sports in high school, but they both said
that they're both they were both of athletic. No, I
just take that word for it, you know, I have to.
I have to believe it because I got it from somewhere.
I think I got it from both of them.
Speaker 3 (01:03:15):
Bianca.
Speaker 2 (01:03:16):
Uh, there's nothing easier about track practice because it's you.
You have to do the work, and you're only going
to get in what you You're only going to get
out what you put in. And that's a really lonely sport.
It's a really individual sport because can't nobody help them.
Speaker 10 (01:03:31):
I always say, track is We were just talking about
this with my parents over the weekend.
Speaker 11 (01:03:35):
Track is one of the hardest sports out there, and
we were saying, how you train so hard and like say,
for instance, say you run the hundred and you you
you trained for for ten seconds, eleven seconds, that's it,
and it's not you don't get you don't get immediate
immediate gratification. For instance, for like like basketball, even if
(01:03:56):
you lose the game, you you still score points, you
score buckets, so you get that immediate gratification. Football, you
might score a touchdown. Track is that gun goes off
across the finish line.
Speaker 3 (01:04:07):
That's it.
Speaker 11 (01:04:08):
And a lot of times you hardly if you're if
you're like the top top top, you you win a lot, right,
But if you're not, you hardly ever really win in track.
That's crazy to think about, Like you trained all these years,
you trained all these days, you hardly ever really win.
You're just you're you're you're you're going against yourself. You're
(01:04:30):
you're going against your own time. And that's why, like
if you the track athlete when they have a track
meet and you ask them like, oh, did you win,
You're like, it doesn't matter if I one, you should
ask like did you beat your pr because it's always
you against yourself. Yeah, And it's a very very hard
sport physically and mentally.
Speaker 2 (01:04:49):
For the people that they didn't watch first take we
had you on first take steven A and I and
Bali and you. You're talking to tell us about the
outfits that you wear. You make all of your own costumes.
Everything that you see her wear in the ring, guys,
she designed it.
Speaker 9 (01:05:05):
Yeah.
Speaker 10 (01:05:06):
I make everything. All of my gear, I make it.
Most of I make it from scratch.
Speaker 4 (01:05:11):
Some of it.
Speaker 11 (01:05:11):
If I run out of time, I'll customize it. But
for the most part, I make it. And I've never
taken a sowing class a day in my life. I
learned everything through YouTube.
Speaker 7 (01:05:21):
YouTube, YouTube, and let me get on YouTube right now.
Speaker 3 (01:05:25):
I've been finding myself and I can do it from YouTube.
You care?
Speaker 7 (01:05:27):
Wait you here, You've never you never learned how to sew,
but you can do things from watching YouTube.
Speaker 10 (01:05:31):
Yeah, I went on YouTube.
Speaker 3 (01:05:33):
I took home Max, so I do know how to
sew a little. But yeah, I made a teacher. I
made a shirt.
Speaker 10 (01:05:37):
See see yo. See it's just in trial and error.
It takes dedication and time.
Speaker 11 (01:05:44):
But I make everything in cool because like when I
watched my like the video game, the gear that I'm wearing,
I made that.
Speaker 10 (01:05:53):
My my action figures, I made that.
Speaker 11 (01:05:55):
But it's rough because I just I don't have a
lot of time, so a lot of time I'm sewing
and the airports, I'm sowing in my hotel room. It's crazy,
but I keep pushing myself and I'm excited about my
wrestleming my WrestleMania gear this year.
Speaker 3 (01:06:12):
Would you like to would you like to do movies?
Would you? I mean, y'all can see you as an
action Yeah?
Speaker 10 (01:06:17):
Yeah, yeah I did.
Speaker 11 (01:06:18):
I was in bel Air the last season and that
was really really cool. That was my first experience of
like being in an actual show.
Speaker 10 (01:06:25):
But I would love it. I mean, technically what we
do in in.
Speaker 11 (01:06:30):
Wrestling with storylines, it's it's acting, you know. And I
look at people like Rock, John Cena, Batista, They've all
really uh set that that that that blueprint. And now
with us going with Netflix, I feel like it's just
gonna open the door more and more.
Speaker 10 (01:06:47):
So I'm excited for the future. I would love to
be in movies.
Speaker 3 (01:06:52):
Can we expect another to even of love in w W?
Speaker 10 (01:06:55):
I mean, I hope, so I'm waiting to hear back.
Speaker 11 (01:06:59):
It's it's funny though, because I was somebody who was
always like I will never do reality TV, Like it's
not for me.
Speaker 10 (01:07:06):
It's and then I learned to never say never.
Speaker 11 (01:07:09):
So you know, the opportunity presented itself for were like, Okay,
let's just let's not try to be perfect, let's just
be real, let's just be us to see where it goes.
And we really wanted to open, like put that curtain
back in and show people what it's like to be
like a WW superstar and be a spouse at the
same time and balance that lifestyle.
Speaker 10 (01:07:30):
So I think we like we we.
Speaker 11 (01:07:34):
Spoon fed the first season, so it would be really
cool to do a second season and show more of
our life outside of wrestling.
Speaker 2 (01:07:41):
Yeah, for those that don't know beyond the husband is
a WWE participant.
Speaker 3 (01:07:46):
Also, so how did you guys meet?
Speaker 11 (01:07:49):
We met in WWE. So when I say WWE like
completely changed my life. It completely changed my life.
Speaker 12 (01:07:55):
It gave me a home, so so funny stories, funny story, Yes, yes,
that was the rule. And Mark Henery literally, oh gosh,
Mark Canry the one who got me into WWE. So
(01:08:18):
when I first got into w W, I saw I
saw him and he got injured really bad and he
went away for a couple of months.
Speaker 10 (01:08:25):
So I was like, oh, that's a beautiful man keep
him from me, and.
Speaker 3 (01:08:30):
They did it.
Speaker 11 (01:08:31):
So a couple of months later he came back and
I was like, okay, so this is what we're doing,
and we just like immediately clicked and we just like
never left each other's side. And then Mark Henry came
to the to the Performance Center, which is where we
trained when we first meet in WWE.
Speaker 10 (01:08:49):
He pulls me aside and he's like talking to me
about like, what do you want to do and you know,
who do you want to be in the ring. And
he's like and you know, whatever you do, don't date
anybody in the business.
Speaker 3 (01:08:59):
And I'm just like, oh, too late.
Speaker 11 (01:09:03):
And I was like okay, and I'm like, oh no,
this is what do I do now. Yeah, So when
he found out we were dating, and you know, we
were getting married. I think once he found out we
were getting married, he was like, it's okay, okay, cool,
but yeah, we we just broke all the rules.
Speaker 3 (01:09:23):
By congratulations.
Speaker 2 (01:09:24):

Got people that you want to surround yourself with, those
those key people that you want to be in business with,
you want on your team. You are very self motivated people.
I don't need to motivate you with money, because guess what,
when you get enough of it, then what's the stimulus.
I don't want to motivate you by fear I'm gonna
fire you or I'm gonna do it. At some point
(01:11:47):
in time, they become idol threats. Self motivation is really sustainable.
And that's what I tell kids.
