through some not great news here in this segment. But

won the White House. Cliff, how you doing. Great to

It's great to be here, Charlie Love How fired you
hope you were for that first half. Man, we've got
a lot going on. I feel like every hour we've
got something new. But we've got our country bag, which
is great.
Speaker 11 (27:41):
Well.
Speaker 19 (27:42):
Look, as you know, I have a special disdain for
neo conservatives who pretend to be America first to their voters.
If you want to go be a neo conservative, happy,
go lucky, invade Iran, colonized Venezuela, and go bomb every
country that you can't pronounce, at least tell you voters
that's who you are. Don't go send mailers and say
(28:03):
I'm America first. By the way, let's go to war
against the run. It's repulsive, it's dishonest, it's deceitful. Cliff,
tell us what happened last evening, I believe, or at
least a couple days ago, in the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania.
Speaker 21 (28:15):
Yeah, so in Pennsylvania we had two special elections. The
first was a state House special out in the Pittsburgh area.
This is a Democrat seat, seventy five to twenty five.
No way to win that seat. And so obviously the
Democrats kept that, which kept the majority in the House.
But the major chakra, Charlie was there was a special
Senate election. This is Senate District thirty six. This is Lancaster, PA.
(28:39):
This is a district and Trump won by fifteen percentage points.
It's actually a R plus twenty three. When you look
at Democrat to Republican registrations, Republicans are up by twenty
three percent. If you look on the screen here, you
can see this was a shock result. Democrats ran up
the score. You see, they're the mail in voting eight
(28:59):
thousand male and votes to Republicans three thousand, and we
ended up losing the race by about five hundred votes.
And Charlie, the most frustrating thing for me is we
offered to run our pachase program and we were told
by the consultant.
Speaker 20 (29:12):
Class, Hey, don't worry, it's a waste of money. We
got it. We're going to get the mail ballots in.
Speaker 21 (29:18):
And now we're finding out they didn't chase one mail
in ballot with no paid ballot chasers. There was no
program whatsoever, and so it's just frustrating for us to
lose a seat like this in a time where we're
supposed to be mobilizing in the off year. I thought
that twenty twenty four was going to be the time
when groups like Turning Point, groups like Citizens Alliance, we
(29:39):
went out and proved to folks, listen, all you have
to do is take these Trump supporters and make them
Trump voters. That's a great line of years, that's true.
But the consultant class has yet to figure it out. Charling,
I'll take the blame for this. You know, I believe
them that it was going to be a cakewalk, that
it was going to be some sort of just easy win,
(29:59):
and bec because we rested on our laurels, the Democrats
have now shifted a Senate seat, and we cannot let
that happen again. So I'm committing on your show that
no more will I listen to the consultant class and
these corrupt folks in Harrisburg. We're just going to go
do our program, and we cannot listen to these people
who don't understand the power of chasing ballots.
Speaker 19 (30:20):
So I just I'm going to ask a provocative question.
Do they really care that much about winning or is
it more just about the graph than making money? And
if they happen to win, then it's a nice little bonus.
Speaker 20 (30:34):
Well, look, I actually think it's a little worse than that.
Speaker 21 (30:36):
I think we were pushed out because you know, people
want to be able to take full credit. The nice
thing about twenty twenty four is we all work together, right,
we all say, look, we don't care who gets credit.
Speaker 20 (30:45):
We just want to win.
Speaker 21 (30:47):
And so we took the different tactics, we took the
different assignments for certain states and certain ways that we
were going to reach voters, and we all just owned it.
And so what I find is, yet, cha are they
I'm looking at the reports here, these folks are lining
their pockets. They're not understanding how to communicate with voters.
And it's every single excuse that we hear from the
Ron McDaniel types, from the previous GOP leaders. It's candidate quality,
(31:12):
it's too extreme of a message, they're too maga, they're
too America first. This is all the Monday morning quarterback,
and you're hearing now because the consultants just don't get it.
So yes, they're lining their pockets, but I also think
they just don't understand we're not the party of Carl
Rove anymore.
Speaker 20 (31:28):
The rules don't allow.
Speaker 21 (31:29):
Us to just spend millions on TV ads and then
wonder why we didn't win.
Speaker 20 (31:34):
It's an election month, it is.
Speaker 21 (31:37):
Not an election week, it is not an election day
in Pennsylvania, and it's time we actually adapt. I think
the silver lining here, Charlie is that these consultants have
been so embarrassed that even the most you know I
would call them establishment type voters are like, how in
the world did you lose a Trump plus fifteen c
Maybe this chasing of ballots is what we should focus on.
(31:59):
So I'm hoping this is the wake up call for
all of the patriots across PA to say, we cannot
miss an election. We have to chase ballots in every
election in Pennsylvania.
Speaker 19 (32:10):
So, Cliff, here's the good news. The good news is
that we know it can work in a general election.
Speaker 4 (32:16):
You've did it.
Speaker 19 (32:17):
We helped a little bit, but you were the pioneer.
You were the vanguard, especially to get Dave McCormick to
be a US Senator. We have a special election problem
right now. Randy Fine is in a big fight right
now in the Florida sixth congressional district. There's a new
story breaking today that a Lease Stephanic might not end
up resigning to become you an ambassador because it might
(32:40):
put the margins a little bit in jeopardy. Now, I
think that if Josh Parker became the nominee, it wouldn't
be a problem. But that's a separate issue for another time.
What do we need to do to change the mindset
of our base our funders that these special elections matter?
Speaker 20 (33:00):
Yeah, well, I'm with you. I think if it gets
to be pretty close, you know, we like Elise.
Speaker 21 (33:04):
But I think the power of having the majority is
extremely important.
Speaker 20 (33:07):
So I would double down on that.
Speaker 21 (33:09):
But I think, Charlie, it's what we've preached for the
last year and a half, which is, look in a
lot of these areas. Look at Randy Fines district, you know,
look at Jimmy Petronas in this district, Florida one.
Speaker 20 (33:19):
They have the voters.
Speaker 21 (33:21):
Okay, we're not talking about swing districts where hey, you know,
maybe we have to work on registration, or maybe we
have to do persuasion or maybe we have to message correctly.
Speaker 20 (33:30):
No, we just have to do the ground team to
turn out our voters. So yes, do they need to run.
Speaker 21 (33:34):
Traditional advertising shore, But I think the shift in mindset,
the shift in the culture within Republican strategic circles has
to be taking the model from twenty twenty four and
making it permanent infrastructure.
Speaker 20 (33:48):
Right. I mean, that's what.
Speaker 21 (33:49):
We're doing in PA. We're doing five hundred thousand dollors
every year. And I think the folks in Florida and
the folks in New York, if it does come up
for an election, we have to understand if if you
have the voters and you said this are the first
person I heard ever say this, take Trump supporters and
make them Trump voters, Meaning we have the people, we
have the energy, but we need to double down on
(34:11):
the ground game the same way the Democrats do.
Speaker 20 (34:14):
And by the way, this race and.
Speaker 21 (34:15):
PA, Joshapiro hat one hundred and five full time people
on the ground.
Speaker 20 (34:19):
He gets it.
Speaker 21 (34:21):
They might be in disarray nationally, they might not have
a leader, but politics is business to them and they
take it seriously. We as Republicans have to start understanding
and taking it serious that we are going to double down,
work the doors, chase the ballots, and exploit the rules
legally the way the Democrats do.
Speaker 19 (34:41):
It's a major mentality issue. And also comment on Wisconsin.
Right now, we have this Wisconsin Supreme Court seat. We're
working our tailoff, We're driving turnout in the Wow counties.
The problem is that the Democrats they have more full
time bodies. If it wasn't for Turning point Action, it
would be a little of a nightmare on the ground there.
We're doing everything we can to squeeze out. But every day,
(35:05):
let me tell you, we are knocking on doors in
Wisconsin and the team's doing a great job. Tyler and Brett.
They're working their tail off at turning point Action. But
every day we're knocking on doors and someone will say,
what election are you talking about?
Speaker 4 (35:17):
We just elected Trump? What do you mean? This is
a problem, Cliff.
Speaker 19 (35:22):
We have to change the entire philosophy of a Republican
base voter when it comes to these special and one
off elections.
Speaker 21 (35:32):
Yeah, and I think the message you know at the door,
I'm sure you know you guys are getting the same
feedback that we get in pa is. We have to
figure out a way to tie this to something that
is if you want to continue the Trump agenda, and Charlie,
the best part is, I mean, look at the approval ratings, right,
If we can tie these candidates to Trump, that's a
huge net positive.
Speaker 20 (35:48):
Despite with the row and the Romney.
Speaker 21 (35:51):
Type, folks are going to tell you people want the message,
they want Magga, they want America first, they want the
Golden Age. And I think you're right, it's an institutional
it's a cultural shift. But I think the nice thing
is we still have Trump to at least to try
to attach on to. And obviously he's not in the ballot,
which makes it difficult. But with Elon in the White
(36:11):
House doing what he's doing, with Trump continuing hour by
hour to create massive reform to save this republic, that's
the challenge for us is how do we connect whatever
election it is, if it's Brad for Supreme Court in Wisconsin,
if it's the Specials in Florida, connecting that our candidate
must win. It is vital that you vote because it's
(36:32):
going to continue these Trump reforms that are saving the country.
It's not an easy task, right, It's a challenge because
people aren't as motivated without Trump on the ballot. But
I think that's our excuse, that's our hurdle to have
to get over, and I think we're doing the legwork
to hopefully deliver some strong results.
Speaker 19 (36:50):
What is on the docket of other races that we
should be aware of beyond Wisconsin and this year? And look, everybody,
we're going to be in a midterm cycle. By Chris,
by Christmas, we are in a mid term election. We're
just months away from being well within a midterm cycle.
Speaker 21 (37:06):
Cliff tell us, Yeah, well, I think you've got, you know,
big races. Obviously, New Hampshire in terms of the Senate
seat I think is going to be huge. That's a
state that we play in, hoping you guys go out
there and help us out.
Speaker 20 (37:17):
We've got some big talks there with Tyler.
Speaker 21 (37:19):
But look, let me come back to Pa, which is
my bread and butter, because we do have some crucial races.
If we're talking twenty twenty six, we've got three congressional
swing districts. We won all three of those in twenty
twenty four. We don't win those. We don't have the
majority right now, so there are going to be three defenses.
Now that we're going to have to win. We're going
to have to do the typical Chase program. But Charlie,
(37:40):
let's just look at twenty twenty five. Right, Obviously, Wisconsin
and these Florida races are going to be huge. Greatly
appreciate what you guys are doing. In Wisconsin. It wasn't
for you guys, we'd have no shot to win that race.
Twenty twenty five. In Pennsylvania, there's something very interesting. The
people that control the elections in terms of the election
day decisions called Judge of Elections in Pennsylvania, we are
(38:02):
actually trying to go out and elect one thousand of
those And that's why we're doubling down this Phchase program.
And here's why it's important. If you want Jade vance
in twenty twenty eight, if you want fair elections in
twenty twenty six, the people who get elected for Judge
of Elections in Pennsylvania, the largest swing state in twenty
twenty five, they control the election day decisions for twenty

twenty six through twenty twenty nine. And so my push
to you what we're doing is we want to make
sure that we have this entire grassroots army to get
to make those decisions. And Charlie you reported on all
the crazy Waxes stuff. It comes out a lot of
these counties with just the possible thing. But yeah, really
really focused on judge of elections.

Right now, we are living under an attempted judicial coup,

Program, the last one hundred years, the power in America
has largely constant traded, an unelected bureaucracy and an unelected judiciary.
When you can look to other countries to see where
this goes. Right now, in the country of Brazil, there
is a shocking and a horrifying development happening. Remember back

in twenty twenty two, Bolsonnaro lost by a razor thin margin.
As you might remember, he won every part of the
country except the poorest, the most crime ridden, and the
most corrupt corner of the country, the northeast, where left
wing candidate Lula da Silva won. There was a ton
of agitation. They had their own January sixth like moment
(43:41):
where they rallied and support of Bolsonnaro, and it went
way too far. And ever since then there's been a
gigantic Joe Biden's style law fair crackdown. Judges in Brazil
have exerted far more power than even in the United States.
Judges and counties attorneys general equivalent have imposed sweeping speech
(44:03):
controls on x and other speech platforms. Now Bosgnaro is
going to be put on trial for supposedly plotting a coup.
President Lula said today that it's Bolsignaro's duty to quote
prove his innocence. It's not innocent until proven guilty. It's
guilty until proven innocent. This is in a country of
(44:26):
Brazil that we allegedly call an ally. If Russia were
to do this, we would sanction them. If Brazil does it,
why are we putting up with it? And the answer
is we shouldn't. Is the US State Department Mark Rubio
and President Trump should issue tariffs and if necessary, sanctions
on Brazil for this kind of reckless, immoral behavior. But
(44:50):
even more than that, this is a warning sign. This
is what judicial despotism looks like. This is the type
of behavior that should have no play in the western
modern world. They are going to try to put Bolsonaro
in prison, to have him die in jail as a martyr.
The left believes in democracy, allegedly, but do you know
(45:13):
what they mean by democracy. They think democracy is judges
making themselves dictators. The judge is an avatar of democracy.
They don't believe in voting, they don't believe in the
will of the people. They don't believe in the sovereign.
Democracy for a left winger isn't elections or rights or constitutions.
(45:35):
It's just being a liberal. It is a judicial oligarchy.
These are all warnings to us. As we now have
judge after judge stopping President Trump from doing what he
wants to do.

We can look to.

Brazil and Israel to a lesser extent to see how
the will of the sovereign is undermined on a daily basis,
and praise the Lord, because when we dodge that bullet
as a civilization on July thirteenth. This is where we
were headed under a Kamala Harris presidency. This is where
we are headed under a Joe Biden regime. If Donald
(46:10):
Trump would have been shot and killed there, there is
no guarantee that we would have won a presidential election
in November, no guarantee if the country would still exist.

They would have locked all of us in jail. They
would have raided our homes.
Speaker 19 (46:22):
And what they are doing to Bolsonnio is exactly what
they would have liked to do to President Donald Trump.
And Brazil is a canary in the coal mine, a
harbinger of things to come, a warning that if we
do not stay vigilant, that if we do not take
the mid term seriously and chase ballots and register voters,
that we can lose all the gains that we have,

because it is in a remarkably fragile state that right
now a good man and a once duly elected president
of Brazil, Bolsonniaro, has to prove his innocence and is
destined to die in jail.

percent tariffs on cars and car parts continue coming. In.
Germany's Economy minister in the country's car industry say the
move sends a quote fatal signal to free and rules
based trade. The European Commission's president adds the tariffs are

bad for business and worse for consumers, while Canada's new
Prime Minister is chiming in, saying that the upcoming tariffs
are a direct at tackle on Canadian workers and retaliatory
measures are being considered. The new duties on cars built
outside of the United States and car parks from abroad
are set to take effect March third, which is just
one day after President Trump's reciprocal tariffs are set to

be implemented. Last year, the US imported four hundred and
seventy four billion dollars worth of automotive products, including two
hundred and twenty billion in passenger vehicles. The United Autoworkers
Union is praising the move, saying it is a major
step in the right direction for autoworkers in this country,

Making America healthy again apparently costs. In this case, it's
costing about ten thousand people their jobs, as the Department
of Health and Human Services is poised a layoff a
quarter of its workforce. After taking into account early retirements,

thousand people, which is down from eighty two thousand. An
official statement from the Robert F. Kennedy junior run Department
of Health and Human Services claims the downsizing will save
an estimated one point eight billion dollars annually. That only
amounts to about a tenth of a percent of the

new Health and Human Services Secretary Robert F. Kennedy Junior,
has talked a lot about getting dies out of the

They're going after Tesla dealerships. We receive death threats nearly

we were tabling as we usually do. We table every
Monday through Wednesday on campus. We have an event coming
up on campus and we're excited for that we're tabling
for it is a beautiful day out. We had a
lot of people stopping by and this crazed lunatic came
on his bike.

He pulled over next to me.
Speaker 25 (01:04:36):
I said keep moving because I knew he was going
to cause some damage, and he caused damage to My
phone was destroyed, our whiteboard that we used for tabling
was destroyed.

In my head was hit severely.

So this crazy lunatic just borned to cause damage and
he definitely did.

And now he's in jail.

So this is not the first time that we've had
Turning Point leaders be assaulted, concussed, firebombed, bear sprayed. It
is a very common tactic that they use. First, I
have to ask, are you okay after this madman assaulted
you in the head with a bike lock.

Yeah, I'm actually doing pretty well. Surprisingly no concussion signs.
I'm gonna go get X rays later today just to
be sure, But yeah, I feel great. If anything, I'm
more empowered. I want to keep fighting for what I
believe in, and that's you know. Tpusa's values are so
important to me, especially as president. I'm going to keep
fighting on for what I believe in.

This person is the named Liam Tom Tom Newan, a
male Vietnamese name. Put this up on screen. This is
the individual that did this, who is trans. Of course,
the media will completely ignore this. Could you imagine the opposite?
Can you imagine if a conservative went and assaulted a
trans group on campus? It would be international news. And so, Paige,

talk about how your chapter is responding to this. Do
you guys feel more committed to continue to be out
and tabling and recruiting. How are you processing all of this?

Yeah? For sure.

Even yesterday after the attack happened, we continued to table
on and we kept fighting for what we believe in,
and we had a lot of support actually for people
on campus. They saw what happened and were shocked we
were still out there after it happened. So yeah, we're
gonna keep fighting on. We're gonna have our events on
April first. We're gonna keep pushing on and spread the message,

hopefully get some new members out of this.

Honestly, talk about what you are seeing on campus. And
also did the police take it seriously and how did
the administration respond?
Speaker 22 (01:06:45):
Yeah, the police were actually very very helpful.

They were they acted swiftly and immediately they caught him
the same day. Luckily we did have the video footage
and they used their cameras as well, but they caught
him the same day actually on campus in a building nearby.
And yeah, the campus as a whole, they have, you know, definitely.

There was a Reddit post going around and people said,
I deserve to get hip because I'm a TPUSA freak.

So there's definitely still some hate out there.

People still want to cause injury and they still hate TPUSA,
But we've also had people on their side say, you
know what, I'm proud of you guys for being out here.
They're proud of us for fighting on and to say,
you know what, We're not scared. I mean, obviously I
took a hit to the head and I got back
up and I'm still out there at tabling, So we're
not scared.

You are a hero.

And I hope everyone in the audience who might be
in their forties, fifties, or sixties listening or watching this,
if you guys are not constantly under attack for your values,
then I'm worried about you that you're not fighting hard enough.

Every day our turning point.

Students are sticking out their neck to fight for our
country that we love, and you guys are heroes for
that the tip of the spear. Have any liberal proffessors
condemned this. Have they spoken out against this, Not that.

I know of, and I honestly don't think they will.
I don't think they're going to say anything. It's just
gonna be in our day in the books for them.
I mean, they don't really care what happens, just because again,
we are TPUSA, so this campus they don't want to
see us here, but we're making our presence stronger than ever.

So Paige, talk more broadly about what you are seeing.
Polls are showing that young people are going to the right.
In fact, I want to play a piece of tape here.
We've played part of this conversation throughout the week, which
I think is very important, So the New York Times
as recline conversation. I want to play cut seventy five,
and I want to ask you if you're seeing similar
(01:08:43):
trends on the ground with the advocacy that you're doing,
play cut seventy five.

One of the things you can see here is if
you just look at eighteen year olds, eighteen year old
women of color are the only of the four that
actually you know, voted to Harris one Trump narrowly one
you know, non white men.

So I do find this part of this chart shocking.

I sometimes talk about narrative violations, and I think if
we knew anything about Donald Trump eight years ago, it's
at young people did not like him. But if you
look at this chart, among white men who were seventy
five years old supported Kamala Harris at a significantly higher
rate than white men who are twenty years.

Old, that's exactly right. That's a real shift. It is
a real shift. This is the thing.

I am the most shocked by I think in the
last four years is that young people have gone from
being the most progressive generation since the Baby Boomers, and
maybe in some ways more so, to becoming potentially the
most conservative.
Speaker 19 (01:09:47):
Are you seeing similar trends on the ground, especially with
younger men.
Speaker 22 (01:09:53):
Yeah, actually, you know, I do.
Speaker 25 (01:09:55):
Table I ask like, have you heard of TPUSA before,
and all the times the answer is yes, They'll say, yes,
I want to join, but I'm scared, and I'm I'm
confused by that. I'm like, why are you scared? If
you believe in something, join it, Join the movement. And
I encourage everyone to at least attend one of our meetings.
I've seen a lot of women, especially yesterday, I spoke
(01:10:15):
to a lady who wanted to come to our alex
Stein event on campus, but she knew it was with TPUSA,
and she was scared to attend because she thought she
would not get a job if she was seen attending.

And that's very sad to me.
Speaker 25 (01:10:28):
I encourage everyone to just attend one meeting. We're friendly,
we're out there, we give away you know, free stuff,
free advice. We just want to help everyone join the movement.
And yeah, I've definitely seen a big shift.

Well, and hold on, this is in Texas, everybody. This
is not Massachusetts. So this is someone who's afraid to
go to a conservative event in Dallas, Texas, in a
red state. So that's remarkable. Talk more broadly about your school,
the classes that you have to take.

Our professors.

Are they treating you fairly because you're part of Turning
Point USA? Do you feel you're graded differently? How do
your fellow members feel?
Speaker 22 (01:11:09):
I mean, this campus as a whole is very liberal.

I am not from Texas originally, so I didn't know
how I thought it would be, you know, a red state,
as you said, but this campus is the opposite. People
here are very very left leaning, and obviously, as you
can tell, I was hit in the head. They will
cause hate, they'll spew misinformation online. We've had an Instagram
(01:11:33):
account that's against TPUSA at ut Dallas, a whole Instagram
based on it. They hate us, and so in class
I have felt the need sometimes to act like I
am leftist, you know, but I'm the kind of person
where I don't mind sharing my values out loud.
Speaker 22 (01:11:49):
I've been in classes before that.
Speaker 25 (01:11:51):
It's all liberals, and I'm the one conservative and I
state my mind. You know, I'm not afraid to say
how I feel. I might get backlash, I might get
hit in the head for it, but I will continue
to say how I feel.
Speaker 19 (01:12:03):
Yeah, what is your advice to other Turning Point chapter
leaders or other young Conservatives across the country that feel scared,
that feel afraid, that are not sure if they want
to speak out because they might get hit in the
head with a bike lock.
Speaker 25 (01:12:20):
I would just say, you know, keep in mind what
tpusay stands for. You know, our mission is strong, our
presence is strong, and keep fighting on. If you believe
in it, fight for it. You might get backlash, you
might try to get attacked, but obviously if they're trying
to attack you, it means that your your mission is

the right one.

Because they don't want to see you win. But we're
going to keep winning.

How did you first come aware of Turning Point USA.

Yeah, so they.

Were tabling one day and they had their out of
Yaines event, and I love Riley Yaines a lot, and I.

Was like, oh, you're going to have that.

Yeah, I'll come. And I had a friend already in
the club. He was an officer. He brought me on.

I went to a meeting.

I felt like an outsider, honestly because it was all
men and there was no women there at all. And
I said, you know what, I can change this group around.

And I did.

I was secretary and I worked on the Instagram. Our
instagram is now one of the best of the nation,
I will say. And I brought on some more females
as well. And now I'm the president and I love it.

We have to have more women involved in the conservative movement.

first time. I wrote a book a couple summers ago
called The College Scam. It's one of the books I'm
most proud of. It was a clear indictment of the
college cabal. It did not win me a lot of friends.
I remember I would get in debates with very wealthy

people in Jackson Hole. Oh, I remember a spicy conversation
in Jackson Hole, a debate in Palm Beach of older
boomer Americans. College is wonderful and everyone should go to it.
All that matters is the cost of college. We just
have to bring down the cost because the most important
thing is to get a four year degree. And I

wrote in The College Scam that, no, this is one
of the greatest scams happening in America. I see it firsthand,
and I will be proven right. Fortune Magazine publishes yesterday.
This is the first of thousands of these articles. And
this is a major I told you so. Over four
million gen zers are jobless, and experts blame colleges for
(01:19:06):
worthless degrees and a system of broken promises for the
rise of neats. Neats are neither employed or getting technical training. So,
according to Fortune magazine, one in every five adult members
of gen Z are neither employed, educated.

Or training.

People are not in the job market, and they are
not getting their not going to school. They just do nothing.
They live with their parents, they draw welfare, they play
video games.

In fact, it's a miserable existence, living without direction and
just waiting for death. Now, why are so many of
them doing nothing? Because for decades we drove them to
take out debt for useless degrees in irrelevant fields. We
shut down schools during COVID, we gutted standards and created
an elaborate racial spoil system. Ninety percent. I've said this

for a while, I'll say it again. Nine zero percent
of kids that go to college should not go to college.

I wonder who's been saying this. In many cases, young
people have been sent off to universities for worthless degrees

much better off if they apprenticed to become plumbers or electricians.
They would be able to look forward to a much
more abundant and satisfying life. But the reason that they

parents would be ashamed to tell their neighbors that their
kid has become a plumber. Most suburban moms would be
horrified to have to tell their girl gang their book club,
oh yeah, Johnny is a plumber. No no, no, It's much

Gang of moms in your walking group, oh no, no,
Johnny is not an electrician. Johnny is. He's doing his
crypto thing. Oh, I totally understand Johnny has mental health problems.
I totally get it. There's really only five acceptable careers
for upper middle class white society. Doctor, lawyer, computer engineer, banker, teacher.

Those are about the five things that are allowed in
upper middle class white society. But if you dare say
my son is an electrician, people say he has to
work with his hands, you're a failure as a parent.
And I've tested this many times when I was an Aspen.
Once giving a speech, I said I'm going to test.

I said, how many of you guys would be happy
if your son became an electrician? They laughed audibly. I said,
you guys are the problem. I have no problems standing
up to the elites.

I said, you guys are all the problem. And they
kind of chuckled and they looked down. I said, you
guys would rather have your kid be a wanderer from
Portland to Seattle finding himself working for some sort of
micro brewery trading crypto than having to tell your friends
that he's an electrician, because that's unseemly for upper middle

class white society. The insecurity of parents has driven an
entire generation to despair and a directionless life. See you
