Speaker 1 (00:00):
Welcome to Reasonably Shady, a production of the Black Effect
Podcast Network and I Heart Radio. Welcome to another episode
of Reasonably shade. Y. Yes, we are back again. Robin,
(00:21):
how you feeling well? What's up? What's up, y'all? I'm
Robin Dixon. Oh I'm just a Bryant. How are you
feeling wrong? I'm feeling amazing. I am, and I'm I'm
especially amazing because you all are here with us again again.
Now listen, we have a super special episode um today
that we're super excited about. But you know, per usual,
(00:42):
we always got to give the reasonably Shady moments of Zoe.
And you know what, Robin, I don't know if you
have yours, but I have. I'm sure you have a
time because mine is like mine. I just went through okay,
and it it was concerning, okay, okay. So I just
(01:05):
took a flight from d C. I mean, I'm sorry,
from l A back to d C. I was good
coming home. And you know that is always a tiring flight.
You want to have peace in the Middle East. You
just want to just sit down and maybe watch a
movie and just enjoy yourself, right, go to sleep, right,
So the flights get ready to take off, and you know,
(01:25):
I'm in first class, so there's like a big space
in between you and the person next year. And I
looked on the floor and I saw like this thing,
and it was like, can I tell the story, I'm sorry, okay.
And it had like a um, a little blanket over
top of it. But I didn't think nothing of it
because I was kind of like semi hungover from the
night before Ashley Darby, thank you very much. So I
(01:46):
was paying no attention to it, okay. So then the
lady like taps me, like tap tap tap, and I
was like, yeah, yes, white lady, Yes, and she said,
and I just want to let you know my dog
is right it's right there. Oh my gosh. So I said, okay,
no movement from the dog, no nothing. So I was
fined with it. I was like, you were ok Yeah,
I was cool, no problems. I didn't hear a bark,
I didn't hear nothing really, But about forty five minutes
(02:07):
in I started smelling, Yeah, I said it dog farts.
The dog's party from l A, maybe Phoenix maybe, I
don't know where we were to d C. Damn it
and the dog stink and I just really. I mean,
if I didn't have on a mask, a mask, it
would have been words. No, thank god I had on
(02:28):
a mask. I couldn't smell it as horrible, but I
can still smell it. I'll be so annoyed four and
a half hours. Lady, you're shady. Your dog is shady.
Dog is shady. But but I feel like the airlines
are shady. Shouldn't there be some sort of like excuse me,
are you okay? Like should there be like a special
section for the dogs, Like what if someone's allergic or
(02:50):
you know, what if you're afraid of dogs? Like why
is that okay? Just to like put a dog next
to somebody on a plane that's a small, tight space.
And she was trying to act like her dog was
not farting. Yeah, you smell it too. Ladies did say
something to her. I didn't, but I was giving her
looks like, oh, so long story short. You dog people,
(03:10):
and y'all know I'm not a dog person, but your
dog people, let me just say this, if your dog
it's fart prone and you're gonna put him on a plane,
give him some metal musle sometimes some something to make
sure there's no farting. Okay, just do that. Oh my gosh,
that's so funny. Because on on my plane back from
l A. On on the aisle, I mean, on the
(03:32):
opposite side of me was a dog and I was
fine because it was far away. But into the flight,
the lady falls asleep. The dog starts walking around. It
wasn't in like a little bag. It was literally just
like laying on the floor and and so. And I
was wondering because there was an empty seat next to
the lady. I was wondering if maybe she purchased that
(03:53):
seat as well. But literally, like the flight attendant had
to like ushure the doge sit. You know what was this,
lady white? I need to ask. You don't need to ask. Okay,
so I don't need to And you know why we
don't need to ask for sometime. This is privilege. If
y'all don't know white people what white people privileges. This
is it right here. A black person wouldn't do this, yes,
(04:14):
And I'm telling you, if ONOM was on that plane,
he would be freaking out. He would be like, oh,
get the dog away from me, just like that. Oh
my gosh. All right, So, do you have a recently
shady moment or was that it? No, no, no, that
wasn't even it so mine, you know what, I'm sorry,
but I hate to do this. My shady moment of
(04:36):
the week is forever going to be until it is
fixed the fact that one is still not unpacked his ship. Okay,
I'm just given every week, that's what it's gonna be
until it changes every week call ship's still in boxes.
And and then the this is like a twofold shady.
(04:57):
He literally to do with laundry and he'll put it
in like one of the laundry baskets that we have,
and then he'll leave it in the basket, and then
he'll do more laundry, and then he'll take another basket
and then do more laundry, and he'll take another basket. Robbin,
you gotta stop buying baskets. But I mean, this man
literally has hogged all of the laundry baskets in our
(05:18):
house and it's just full of like his clean clothes
that he just kind of goes through and he won't
put them away. What Dixon, I'm sending to him a
TEXTA I want to beat him, Like so it's all right,
we we gotta move on. Okay, So I mean clearly
everybody knows, but we will remind you that Robin and
(05:39):
I are on a reality show called The Real Housewives
the Potomac Butches on Bravo and we and by the way,
we're on Sundays at eight o'clock. Yes, okay, So we
love our fans. We love our fans. I was getting at.
We love keep us employed. Yes, so so let me
just say it is, um, we we work together, you know,
(06:03):
the fans and what we do. You know, we're one
big happy family sometimes and sometimes a family well no,
we want big happy family all the time, but sometimes
a family fight and sometimes a family gets along. Now,
one blogger slash somebody in particular is with us today.
All right, so I'll let you know just yes, yes, yes,
(06:25):
So we have a special guest today. We are going
to have a good old key key. We want to
talk all things how swives you know too. We're gonna
talk as much as we can about the show or
you know, just not even the show, but just you know,
our experience hypothetically. Um. But I'm always entertained by like
(06:47):
the memes that come out after the show is aired,
and I'm always entertained, and I'm like, also like dumbfound
and I'm like, wow, how do they have the time
to create this stuff? How do they have the creativity
to create this stuff? And so our next guest, his
name is Kendrick Tucker. He has a podcast and an
Instagram page called Reality and Comics Too. So Kendrick was
(07:10):
born to raise in Memphis, Tennessee. He went to undergrad
graduate school he lives in and he went he studied
in Indiana, and he went back to Memphis, and he
works at eight to five like most people in the
hospitality industry, but he also in the middle of the
global pandemic, was inspired to launch a podcast called Reality
(07:31):
and Comics Too, where he talks about everything reality TV,
scripted and unscripted. In film. He has a huge emphasis
on reality and Marvel Studios. He talks about Housewives a
lot um, so you know, his love for Marvel and
house in reality TV explains his love for a good
(07:52):
TV villain. And I think that's why he might like
the Green Eyed bank. Yes. Some people think Quinn, yes,
and we don't care. I think we're just saying what
y'all thinking. We're just saying it out loud. Yes, because
y'all thinking it? Now does that make us bad? Because
we actually say it, but you're thinking it? So you're
(08:13):
bad to word? Hello? Hello, Hello, So without further ado, Ken, Drek,
it's in the building. Yes, yes, yes, hello, Hello. How
are you? How are you? I'm amazing. How are y'all?
We we are doing great. We're so happy to have you.
All right, we're gonna get right down to the nitty gritty.
We have so many questions. Oh, I'm excited. You know.
(08:35):
They called me a green Eye apologist on my page
all the time, so I'm not like a green bandit
I mean, and we thank you for that. I mean,
you know, so you're out here in these streets having
to defend the Green Eye bandits. Oh, they come at
me all the time. I'm like, look, if y'all want
to be entertained, watch the show. If you don't, I
(08:55):
don't know what to tell you. It's entertainment. I'm entertained.
Thank you that you okay? I mean, would they prefer
us just to to be quiet? Then? What do you watch? You? Hello?
I mean okay, so you okay, I do want to know.
So y'all you're watching the show, right and then in
(09:17):
five seconds, we'll see memes created about what y'all have
seen literally thirty seven seconds ago. How does that happen?
How I mean? And like what is going through your mind?
Is there an app for this? How do y'all make
these memes? Okay? So I'm one of the people. I'm
sure everyone like the process is somewhat the same. I'm
(09:38):
one of those people. I keep like a huge photo
on my phone of like random like clips and gives
all kinds of stuff and like media. So when I
see like something happened, I'm immediately like, oh bam, thought
of that. I go right into my little app. I
make my name and I posted up for somebody else does.
Because we're all competing, it's like, no, I gotta I
(09:58):
gotta get those those use those lights. Let me let
me get out there now the game of quickness? Okay, yeah,
because it is like it's mind boggling to me. I'm like,
first of all, the fact that you all put them
out so quickly, but the creativity to humor, it's like
even and so I'm like, how do you even decide
like what you find funny to like create to make
(10:21):
into a meme? You know, like, so much happens in
one episode a lot, so I'm one of the people
like I do, I recap like the entire episode on
the post, so like one one is definitely not enough.
Like I usually pull like ten memes out of an
episode because but Toldmic, you know, it might be hard
for some other cities because I don't always get up
to ten. But but Tolmick, y'all tend to deliver. We can.
(10:44):
We like whether it's shade, whether it's it's just straight comedy,
whatever it is. And even like the supporting characters, everybody
like gives in their own respectable ways, so it's all
it's always like sometimes I gotta cut out so them.
And because you know It'stagram limits us the thin, so
oh yeah, you know it's okay to give us more
than one post. You know there were limited to one post. Yeah,
(11:07):
you are putting it on Twitter right for commentary, correct,
So I'm not doing Twitter now. I'm They're they're like
trying to pull me to Twitter, but I'm like, between
my full time job, the podcast, and the account, I'm like, lord,
I cannot get on another social media site or it
will literally console my day, Like my boss is gonna
be concerned at some point, so I gotta I gotta
(11:28):
stick away, I gotta step back. Okay, So but is
there money in this? Like? What what is the is
this is the driving factor for all these memes and
and all the bloggers and all that you and all
the content that you'll create is the driving factor? Y'all
are gonna eventually get paid for this or y'all are
just shady? Y'all just read the reality a right. Yeah,
(11:54):
you know somebody like I'm only like, I'm like, no,
let's laugh about this with some people who's World War three?
Your on Instagram? So I stuff back sometimes, but yes,
you know, some people like I'm one of the people
I just like enjoy the show so much to like,
I'm just trying to, you know, create a moment. I'm
trying to make everybody laugh and you know that kind
of stuff, and then the comments go off. So we're
all like talking about it anyway. But you know, I'm like,
(12:15):
if somebody you know, wants to come and sign me
or something, I'm not gonna say no. You know, I'm
trying to think what would they be signing you too? Like,
is there there's no there's no jobs here for this, right,
so like the no like the moment and stuff. I
don't know, I need somebody to figure that out. But
like you, I have the I have the podcast side
(12:37):
of stuff. So I'm like, you know, it all drives
it like towards the podcast, because you know, you kind
of plug your podcast in there somewhere You're like, oh,
you like them come to the podcast, you know when
they come to follow me on the podcast, So god right,
And then I guess on Instagram you could try to
get paid at promotions, like once you get a certain
number of followers, and then I know the podcast you
(12:58):
can get ads and stuff like so I see. But
but at the end of the day, you do it
because you're entertained by it. You're your love for it,
and just how entertaining you find it is why you
do it, right, Because I literally probably have one friend
in my city that watches like all the same shows
(13:19):
as me, So like, I'm not about to drive thirty
five minutes to talk about the shows with them every
week and then drive thirty five minutes back to my house.
So I'm like, let me just talk that internet all
these I'm like, I need to talk about it and
get it out. So Wail. You find your people, you
find your community, and everybody is as ridiculous as you are.
So it's amazing. Okay, So what what's the largest interaction
(13:41):
you've gotten, like from a meme? Like what which one? Oh,
I don't know. Sometimes I would like post old clips
of something I think I did something for like Meriton
Medicine one time where it was like I think it
was a crossover between like I think Tamar maybe Tamar
event showing like Dr Jackie was on there and I
did something with that, and like people love nostalgia. They
(14:04):
love to like go back to their old reality TV
moments and you know, we all, we all, you know,
got introduced to reality TV somewhere, so they all like
to go down the rabbit holes with us and you
know remember those moments and all that. So when you're
(14:25):
watching an episode, are you like pausing and taking notes
or do you watch the episode and then go back
like you know how I would just think, you know,
I don't know. I'm like, I'm just amazed that people
are watching the episode and then they're so active on
social media at the same time. I'm just like, how
you do that? So me. I'm it's kind of rough
(14:49):
because if I'm putting out a podcast episode, depending on
what day it is, so like Real Housewads of Beverly Hills,
I might watch it like for enjoyment the first time,
but then like Thursday, I'll go back and do my
notes for the podcast. You know, I put on my
episodes on Monday, so put Tolmick in Salt Lake City.
I gotta be pretty quick about so I'm like, oh Lord,
let me take my notes now while I'm watching it.
(15:10):
So didn't have to actually, like due to the opposite,
I watched it for notes the first time and then
watching for enjoyment the next day after I put out
the episode, no more stressed by the being by the bone.
This is so okay, I It's never it's been in
my head right that somebody is watching our show taking notes, Yes,
(15:31):
taking notes. That's insane to me. Now. I know some
of our cast mates take notes because they're trying to
come to the reunion with a whole new uh perfect. Yes, yes, yes,
that they have rehearsed to the Lord. But for somebody
to be watching the show just for their entertainment purposes
(15:52):
and they're taking notes I'm honored. Actually, I know. I
mean and and see, this is the thing, like I left, like,
whether you know someone likes me or they don't like me,
just the fact that they're investing their time to watch
the show and really spend their valuable time to you know,
make a meme or to debate or you know whatever,
just just anything related to the show. I just think
(16:14):
that's so awesome. I'm like, wow, like, you know, because
for us it's like a job, right, we're working. But
for other people to just yes, for other people to
be so entertained that they literally like like they fuel
the show, you know, so that I think that's so awesome. Um,
do you find yourself getting in like arguments where you're
(16:38):
like really getting upset, like does it really affect you
or you better be out here standing for Robin? Just
out Okay, It's certain it is certain cast members that
give me in trouble a lot, because I'm like, look,
(16:59):
you might feel the way, but they're still in my
top five. I can't say nothing about it. I'm sorry,
it's hilarious to me. I love the mess, I love
the shade, I love the drama. That's why I watched
the show. So like I'm not watching for you know,
I go to church on Sundays, like I want to
watch my TV shows or a little bit of mess
like I'm not you know, so, yes, it turns into
(17:19):
all out battles, my dogs going crazy. He certain all
out battles when um like certain cities, especially like Beverly
Hills of course hot topic this season, Potomac hot topic
this season. So it's always certain episodes, certain moments, certain
cast members that just light social media on fire, and
it's it's ridiculous. I'm gonna thank you in advance for
(17:43):
all of the support and love that you have given
me over the Yes, why do you think people get
so take it so take stuff so personally rather than
just saying realizing it's entertainment. Yes, that's a good question
as if you were used to be Yeah, I think
social media has heidened stuff a lot. So it used
(18:06):
to be where you could watch the show and you
could just like you know, laugh about it with your
friends whatever, or even if it makes you man, you
talked about it with him at work the next day.
Somebody was always watching It's whatever. Down social media, especially
and especially during a global pandemic like it's to where
everyone is trying to like interact online, and so everyone
(18:26):
feels like their opinion is the word of God. So
they are going out here and they're like, you know, nope,
she did that. That's a body shaming or this they
did that. That's talking about this and all, like that's
to everyone, no matter who you are. You know that
everyone's on social media. Everyone's a lie. Like there's a
representation for everybody. So everybody is gonna find something that there,
(18:47):
you know, might take offense to. So it's you know,
if they say it, it goes viral, then it's a mess.
It's the whole thing. So it's just I'm not one
of those that taste it that serious. But do you
feel like social media has added val you to reality television?
Or has it hasn't hurt it? Oh? I think both
because one of my favorite parts about it is after
(19:08):
the shows go off or whatever, I do love interact
with people about it because people do have really valuable
opinions about these shows so that you might not think
about and so I do love seeing it. And then
some people are just hilarious, so I do love to
laugh about it, and so it's I love all of that,
but it does. It does. There are certain episodes when
I watch stuff I'm like, you know what, I am
(19:30):
dreading you on Instagram right now. I'm just gonna take
the night off. I'm going I'm going to bed because
i know y'all about to be acting a whole fool
on somebody's social media. So I'm not I'm not doing it.
I'm not doing it. I can't say that the most
underrated comics in the world are black people like we
are he okay, I mean commed d And even when
(19:54):
they're shading me, it's so funny. Sometimes I'm not laughing
with them. They have no idea because I'm not into
you know, I'm not gonna let them know. But huh,
you know what that's like what that's what we love
the most too. I feel like people try their favorite
sometimes to see if, like they don't take a joke,
so they're like, make a name and see if you're
(20:15):
laughing or if you're block them, because there are some
people like I'm not gonna lie, I've been blocked. I've
been blocked before a show even familiar and like wasn't
even talking about the show. I'm like, now now Why
am I in it? I'm like, need me? Why am
I in it? I haven't done anything? Why? Why is
that no idea? Someone actually reached out for that person
(20:35):
because I love them? Under do you want to say
what it is? It was Mary cos So like blocking
you when you have said nothing? Give you the octivity? Yeah,
maybe the same thing about I don't know. She must
have come across something that you said somewhere and she
just okay city, yeah, salt Lake City. Yes, somebody reached
(20:59):
out to her and told her about that too. If
she blocked them like you don't doing the things, I
blocked them because blocked them, like you know what. So
so I'll be honest like the blocking thing. So I
block people. I mean, people will write a whole book
telling me why I'm horrible, and I'll just read like
the first I just I can read the first three
(21:20):
three words and it'll be like, girl, you ain't ship,
and I'm like block and I'm like, damn, you just
spent like you literally just spent like twenty minutes writing
me a book and I just blocked you, like reading
your first for words. So I black people not because
I'm like, oh my god, I don't want anyone to
talk bad about me, but I block them because I'm like,
I don't want that negative energy in my space, you
(21:42):
know what I'm saying. So like right, so so I
so it's like and I say, Okay, well, if you
don't like me, then you don't deserve to be on
my page. You don't deserve to have access to me.
So I'm going to block you. It's not that I
can't handle the criticism. I don't give two craps about
the criticism, but I I just the negative energy. It's
like we because first of all, the show itself is
(22:04):
a lot of drama. Um, you know. So so it's like,
you got we have We're human beings, we have a life,
we have a family. We gotta protect our energy, yeah,
and our sanity. So so I don't know, maybe Mary
is like I ain't falling with it. Maybe maybe maybe
she has blocked like every Instagram fan account. Yeah, it
(22:27):
was the whole street. So I didn't take a too
personal I just say I was a part of Maryag's
block party. That's all. Yeah, I don't I don't blame her.
If she doesn't want that energy around her, then then
then I don't blame her, you know, not that you
did anything wrong, but you know, it's just she knows
how how this stuff can go. And it's like, you
(22:49):
know what, I'm not even opening the door, Marry Costy.
First of all, you just got here. If you're blocking
everybody who don't like you, nobody's gonna be following when
you just But okay, but Kendrick, you gotta be honest. Now, okay,
because you've been doing this for a minute. So is
there a meme or something that you created that you regret?
(23:09):
Like he was like, oh, ship, I went too far?
Oh you know what? I think there was like early
in the beginning, there probably was one, But then it
got to the point Rob was like, no, tell us
what you know what? I think it was someone on
Potomac too, neither one of y'all, but someone had shown
if there was caring is fine, If there was caring
(23:31):
the skin, it was probably one of those like it's
Dwight on rh Op Now, yes, um it was okay.
So would you ever would you ever come into the
comments of a person that you you know, you went
a little too far? And I apologize because I have
gotten d m s. Actually lately, people that were like,
(23:52):
just sell, I used to hate you and I just
want to apologize. But if you just didn't say nothing,
oh my, so I would absolutely. I've probably done it
a few times because I feel like, So I have
a friend that that uh told us y'all probably own
no Bravo on Instagram told me that she has a
(24:14):
model that she doesn't like stand Housewives. She has her
top five So like basketball, you know, you can relate.
So I have a top five model now, So, like,
I feel like it changes so much. I'm like, oh,
it's almost week the week we're like one week you're like, okay,
you low down, that's dirty, you're wrong, and then the
next week you're like, oh your kids, I love you time,
(24:35):
you know. So we go through we go through it.
But some people are immovable, Like if they hate you
from the first episode, they're gonna hate you going through.
And it's like, okay, let's let's calm down a little bit.
It's not that deep, right, Okay, So who are your
top five? And it doesn't have to be outside of
me and Robin. Who are your top five across all
(24:55):
franchises of Housewives? Okay? And this is current, all time,
all time, all time. Okay. Of course I gotta put
n in there yours. Okay. And now since we're talking
about Ninie, let's just get damp in the Nindia, okay,
because she's she's been in the blogs here lately. And
you know, she did mention that she does appreciate everybody
(25:18):
send the flowers that she got. But she did say,
then rich Hose put together to send the flowers to me, okay,
and it was the flowers was two hundred dollars and
these are rich Hose and why couldn't they send individual flowers? Nannie,
ain't mad at you now, I'm I'm I stand with
you on that one. Come over here and ask you'all
like where you're all part of the two hundred dollars. No, No,
(25:41):
that was that was in Atlanta cast Okay, don't break
the toma into that now, watch yourself, um okay. So
so and then and then she has come back to
you know, and then Claudia got in her two sins.
You know, Claudie's gonna, you know, she's gonna she's gonna
put back gas on the fire. So like I feel
like Claudia made a good point though. What was Claudia's point.
(26:03):
Her point was we're not like, we're really not even
cool like that. Um I only you know, sent my
condolences out of my respect for Greg, who is you know,
such a nice guy, and like like are you really
over here like counting, like figuring out how much the
flowers cost? Like you know what I mean. Okay, okay,
(26:23):
true true story, true story. Okay, Ken Dreck, you please
weigh in. I want to know who went in together
on the flowers. That's why I would like because because
if if Claudia was involved in that, then it's not
like the current cast. Correct. I don't I can't correct. Okay,
your thoughts. Okay. So this is one of those things. See,
I'm a flip flopper. I feel like I flip flopped
(26:44):
sometimes because when Nini came out and said what she said,
I was like, dang, two hundred dollars. But then in
back my mind, I'm like, well, I mean they didn't
have to do anything, so you know, that's there's still
a nice gesture. And then when Claudia said her stuff,
I'm like, oh, shoot, I think I kind of agree
with Claudia. I don't know, it's so I'm back and forth.
But you know what I think you need me for
(27:06):
for always, you know, being there to jump in the
mess because I like the mess starting. So you know,
we wouldn't heard from Claudia and NIEDI not got out
there and dieed the radio interview. Listen, I want you
to say that again. People need to appreciate that. Listen. Listen.
Ninie is always willing to put her neck on the
line and get into the dirt and the mess, and
it gets relevance to people because Claudia. I'm sorry, but
(27:28):
nobody was listening to that little show that you have.
Guy I can't remember his name. I don't know, and
I wanted to eat with him the other day. What's
his name? Just know the other one? Um, I think
I know his name. I love you, Love you, AL,
love you al. Anyway, moving on, but I okay, So
Ninnie Leaks is number one. And let me just say
(27:50):
this about Nini and I've I've said this since day one.
Without Ninie Leaks, I'm here to tell you we wouldn't
be sitting here, Giselle and Robin would not be sitting
here because she really really was Atlanta and the success
of Atlanta was on her shoulders hands down, and because
of it, they were able to or they decided to
have another black franchise. So thank you, Nini leaks. Okay,
(28:12):
so who's number two? Oh boy? Okay, so Nini of course.
Oh I you know what, I feel like, Teresa's kind
of put it all out there too. So I gotta
feel like I kind of gotta give Teresa credit for
being you know, you know, I know people have their
feelings about Theresa, but I'm always like, you know, I
appreciate her for giving us ten years. Yes, yeah, at Teresa,
(28:37):
I mean anytime you can be a housewife, be married,
go to jail, get out of jail. Now you're game
to someone else, Honne, you didn't done it all, okay.
And and and on top of like just her family drama,
you know, the issues with her brother and Melissa, and
you know, her parents passing away. Like we've seen a
lot from her. So she's written a lot of chicks
(28:58):
in New Jersey. Yes, yes, I don't know why, but
I've I've become like ridiculously attached to gar sale to
s Yeah yeah, let me say this about ourselves. So,
um Garcel's on Beverly Hills. She is has interface or
(29:21):
intertwined with all of those white ladies, and she has.
My fear when she joined that cast was that she
was not going to stand in her blackness, and she
hasn't and she does that and I totally appreciate her
for that because I know that's kind of like a
hard thing, right exactly, and she she does that so
(29:42):
well and so beautifully, and she's she's a class act
with them. So yes, I love me something, Garcela. Al Right,
so that's tell me that's three. Okay, what's number four?
So usually four and five are the green not bandits
because y no, no, no no, no, no no, no, no, no stop. Okay.
(30:04):
I feel like people do not value the people that
will get there and like actually say it out loud.
People like think that reality TV is just like people,
you know, talking to themselves, talking in their heads. It's like, no,
we need to shoot these things. And I appreciate you
all for being like in my mind at least y'all
are like, look, we drove an hour with the Windy House.
(30:26):
We're gonna say this out loud so we can get
this thing right. We can driven this two hours. We're
gonna make this thing so let's say we need to
say let me tell you what I heard, and all
like this, get it cracking and let's go hors. I
appreciate that. I love it. Okay, this then this is
for the people to know if my soulf and I'm
gonna speak for riving. We have gotten dressed, we have
(30:46):
caught our hair, we have and some eyeshadow, and we
have on heels. Let me tell you something. When we
get there, we're gonna say what we gotta say, and
we're gonna say times and we're got We're not gonna
sit here and talk about nothing. Ship I dressed, my
(31:07):
teeth got brushed, So like, let's get it crossed. And
then we go home and we're downe with it right
uh In six months later, all hell breaks loose on
the on the social media and me because we're so
horrible because we made a TV show. We just we
just making entertainment. Because if we don't say it, then
what are we talking about? Right aways good the really
(31:31):
good fan accounts and the meme accounting podcasts, they always
looked the shows from two ways. They see it as
a fan and then they see it as a producer too.
So I'm like oh I hate that she did that.
But then on my other hand, I'm like, yes, don't
keep doing it, keep doing because I'm like I want
the mass, I want the man, right, Okay, So but
but see, this is what I think people need to realize.
(31:53):
I think if you take the cameras away from you know,
our scenes, ninety percent of the stuff that comes that
that is said or done, it's really not that bad.
It's what I'm saying. It's like it's just like, oh
my gosh, how could you say that? Oh my god,
how could you say that? It's like every little thing
has picked apart, and I'm like, no, this is actually
(32:14):
like a normal conversation that people who are like really
friends and who really feel comfortable with each other can have.
So so it's like, yeah, it's like you're mad at
something I said to can'tics, but it's can't just mad
about it, like no, you know what or whatever it
might be. So it's just like it's so weird. It's
like it's almost like people like watch the show, just
like waiting to get mad, waiting to be bad somebody
(32:39):
I can confirm, right, like, oh my goodness, no, they didn't,
like Okay, like for we can't really go into detail,
but you know the hypothetical situation when you know, if
the accommodations are not comfortable, yes, and you do something
(32:59):
to make yourself comfortable. How are you the bad guy?
How hospitality saying you tried to see it a lot?
Somebody own this roommate working. I need a I need
a I need a toilet that flesh is you know,
give me a new room. Yes, I need a bad
that my feet are not gonna dangle off of because
(33:21):
it's not big enough. So it's so weird to me.
It's it's like, damn, we're the bad guys. We didn't
stop the we didn't stop the show. We didn't say
listen to us. We're so mad. Look you know, oh
my goodness, you horrible Like we literally wrote and were
the bad guy. Yes, make that makes sense. Make that
makes sense. I tell everybody like I'm the guy that
(33:47):
like I love a hotel like my family tries to
do like Airbnb and all this stuff. I'm like, look,
it's too much. I like my own room. I like
being able to see the door. I like, you need
to turn my thermostat down to sixty. And I'm like
I'm OK with all of that. So when y'all left,
I was like, yeah, I've never and I've never stayed
in the Airbnb because I just when I look at
(34:07):
him online and I'm like, oh, I don't know what
I'm gonna get. No, this looks creepy. That's so that's
just not me. Like, so that little rickety house on
the water wasn't happening. Let me go back to Beverly
(34:27):
Hills really quickly. What is your feeling on Kyle? Let
me let let me give you my hand first, I
feel like how is very much. I mean, obviously she's
been there since day one, probably episode one, scene one, Um,
I feel like she's underrated. She has kept that train
moving and moving and moving and moving. But then when
(34:49):
like Erica Jane got there, it was just like all
about Erica. When Renda got there, it was all about Rendna.
When Lisa vander Pump was doing her thing, it was
like about Lisa vander Pump. So I just feel like
Kyle has has been derated even though Kyle, UM, I
don't know what are your thoughts. So I'm of the
camp that I've always kind of felt like not necessarily
(35:11):
a producer. But I think Kyle knows what she wants
to happen in a scene, which I appreciate. I definitely
appreciate that, and so I think that for a long time,
Lisa vander Pump was doing it too, and the focus
was on Lisa vander Pump because they were always calling
her out about being like the sniper from the side,
as they said. And then of course you know, she left,
(35:31):
so it's like, oh, Kyle's the o G. She's the
one that's left, Like we gotta put it on somebody.
And then this season especially really highlighted like you know,
everyone showed them somewhere. Well you remember when you did that,
and it's like, damn, Kyle, Like I was, we were okay,
like you just started that, like what are you doing?
But I appreciate that. Like I always said, um, and
(35:52):
these girls know that you know who I'm on the
show with. If I have said it, I'm gonna say
that in front of your face us before I say
it behind your back, so understand, and no, like you're
you're gonna get whatever it is that I'm saying. If
I said it, exciting to say as soon as I
see you not the fourth time I've seen you done
(36:14):
next time because I don't want you being were talking
about me behind my back, no bitch talking about you
in your face? Right, And that's what I love. That's
what I love. Kendrick has questions for us, Okay, go ahead,
you know we'll answer as best as we can. Okay,
So I've got to know. I know we talked a
(36:35):
little bit about like reality versus like it being a job.
Some of your co workers are like super active on
social media. I would even say that, like you know
what's Andy said, some people are disaster on social media.
Do you think that I noticed, like you guys really
don't do the like going in comment sections and comment
about like a lot of stuff and all like that.
(36:56):
Do you see this as more of a like Okay,
I'm claw down now now I'm just gonna watching it
or is that just not your jam? Are you not?
You're gonna address it like a reunion or in person
or something like that. You don't care enough to do
the back and forth on Twitter? Yeah? So I feel
like with social media it's like it's like a losing
battle almost Like I'm not the type that's like, oh,
(37:18):
let me go in here and try to change people's
opinions about me or let me explain. I just feel like,
you know, I just want people to be entertained and
treated like a TV show, Like I'm not out here
trying to campaign to be the president I don't like.
Like I said, I don't really care if you don't
like me. I understand that, like people can interpret things differently,
(37:39):
I understand you know what I mean. So I just
don't feel the need to go out there and tell
people on like to to make people on social media
like me and apologize for what they're watching, or debate
with them about that. So yeah, I mean, in my opinion, yes,
it's a it's just a job. You know. We don't
clock in, you know, technically, but you know, I'm not
putting an extra work to to beg people to like me.
(38:03):
When to be honest, like, we have tons of people
that support us. So I would rather embrace the people
that show me support and love then pay any attention
to the people that are negative. You know, Like that
doesn't that I just that toxic energy just doesn't sit
right with me. I can't do it. I can't consume
myself with that, and I feel a couple of ways
(38:26):
about it. One, if it's another person who's on the
show with us and they are addressing me on social media,
that's child's play. That's what kids do. I'm not entertaining that.
Like I said five minutes ago, if I'm gonna say
something to say to your face like, don't address me
on social media. Um number one. Number two. So in
(38:47):
the beginning season one, season two, season three, we really
needed to. Social media was a factor because we really
need to promote the show, especially when we were on.
We wanted to be We wanted our HLP two be trending.
We wanted um we on it, it should be trending
after it was over. Like that's a big deal and
the network really appreciates that and they look at that.
So yeah, I would interact only from a vantage point
(39:11):
of comedy and happiness, okay, positivity. I was. There was
never anything negative because like promoting the show general, right,
and you know, if someone says something nice, oh thank you,
but not like going in on people or replying back
to negative people. And yeah, and anybody who's say anything
negative to me, God bless you and and and all
(39:31):
that you do in your life. But I'll never address
you if you're saying something negative to me or to
the show, or about the show, or about any of
any of these other girls. Like, the toxicity on social
media has gone nuts, and I'm just not here for it. Yeah,
And I definitely think like a lot of cast members,
and this goes for a lot of different shows, Like now,
(39:52):
I feel like a lot of the storylines on the
shows are being driven by social media, by by your
castmates activity on social media or some thing your castmates
said in a media interview, and it's just like it's
it's it's blurring the lines too much. I'm like, you know,
it's so funny because it's like you didn't say that
to me when we were filming, but now you got
(40:13):
all this to say, you know, on social media or
in the in your media interviews, but you didn't say
none of that. So is it because you're gonna gassed
up by the fans? Of course? I just I don't know.
So I just I choose not to participate in that
game because it's it's honestly not entertaining to me. And
like I said, I don't I don't feel the need to,
you know, plead my case at all. So got you.
(40:36):
I love that. Yeah. Even and honestly, even when that
whole like y'all were plotting knowing us stuff was going down,
I was so livid because it literally like, this is
all these crazy narratives that like of something that didn't happen.
But I still was like, I'm not giving it any energy.
I'm not looking into it. I'm not you know what
I mean. It's just like and that was that was
(40:57):
a toxic mess. I don't want no parts of that
moving on. Yeah, I remember one of the episodes on
on Reasonably Shape and you said, y'all talked about like
your experience getting casted on the show. What was your
like gateway to Bravo. That's how we say it, like
in the fan communit what what show like got you
(41:18):
kind of hooked on Bravo and then kept you there?
Oh wow, oh you want to answer? Um? Okay, so
let's be clear. Mhmm. I can't remember the title of it.
I think it's called Being Bobby Brown. Oh yeah, and
and this is this is how I like the title. Okay,
(41:39):
that was Whitney calling her husband. Now I was like,
holy crap, this is so entertaining. This is amazing so so,
and I was. I actually had to I remember, I
had to find Bravo. I had to find the network.
I had no idea on all of my channels where
the hell it was. As I found it, it's it's
(42:01):
I know where it is that I have not forgotten.
So yeah, that was my introduction to Bravo. And I'll
be honest, I'm not a huge TV watcher, um, but
I think, you know, I would just dibbling dabble in
Real Housewives in general, so I didn't have like one
Real Housewives franchise that I was locked in on. I
did find myself though, being probably um more engaged or
(42:24):
in tune or entertained by New Jersey, especially when they
had like the Family, you know, it was so much
of you know, the Manzo's in Jacqueline and Teresa and
you know, like I think I really was like into
it then, but like I kind of just dibbling dabble.
So for me being on this show was kind of
like I really didn't know what I was getting into
(42:47):
because I didn't like, you know, I wasn't like a student.
I didn't like study the genre. And so she knows
now there now whatever best a good kind of have
you ever regretted being like your decision to be on
there has ever been I've never been a scene to
like you just like huh, I'm out of here done,
I'm thinking this gotta go. That's the scenes we want
(43:11):
to leave. But um, you know, for me, I feel
like it's and Robin always says that you only live once,
you know, the opportunity came knocking. We have walked through
the door, and I don't live and regret. So it's
kind of like it is what it is, and it's
allowed a huge platform for us to like do other things.
(43:33):
So I mean, you know, thank you lord. Yeah. Um,
I would definitely say I've had multiple times when I'm like, Okay, yeah,
i think I'm done, you know, like I just you know,
I'm like I'm and I think it's just because I'm
so like, I'm really chill, I'm really laid back, like
but I still say, you know, I still don't really
hold my tongue, but I'm not like a draw. I
(43:56):
don't really like drama like that, you know what I'm saying.
So like sometimes when it's drums too much, I'm like,
you know what, I I don't even I don't even
want to engage. I don't. I don't. I don't care
about what someone so said, like that type of stuff.
So so I just have to kind of like you know,
pump myself to like myself. And then to your point,
(44:16):
a producer point, you know, we we we are of
the We have learned that if there's a season goes,
you go through the whole season and there's not a
time that you want to just quit, then you're not
giving to the show what needs to be given to
the show. So we definitely give it all, y'all. If
(44:36):
y'all think we just skate through, we don't do that. Okay.
At some point time we have wanted to either slid
our wrists or just quit run away. I I actually
contemplated like getting in my car and just driving away
and like not telling anybody where I was. That's a
whole another show, Robert, that's a different show. Okay. I
(44:57):
literally contemplate that, like I'm about to run away. I
just need to run away for like five days. Just
don't find me nobody. It is it is and and
and I think a lot of people don't really realize, like,
you know, what we do, it's not easy to have
some of the conversations that we have, and it's also
not easy to have those those personal scenes with people,
(45:21):
you know, with our loved ones and have them kind
of you know, being vulnerable and opening up and so um.
What we do is is, you know, you really don't
respect it, really really until you're in it. My first
week I was like, oh my god, Kim Kardashian is
a queen's because this thing right here is no joke. Yeah,
(45:44):
shout out to Kim k Yes, yes, I've got just
two fun ones for you. When they do, like you know,
they've read and of course all these books about housewives
and everything. When they finally do like the I don't
know if it would be big screen or HBO when
they do the movie about real housewives. Who's playing you too? Already? Okay?
(46:07):
I would people ask me this all the time, like
who would play you? For your life or whatever? Logan
Browning and she does dear way people. She I think
is amazing. She's got the green eyes already, so we
don't have to put contacts on that. And she's like
she's funny, but she can be serious, like she I
think she can she can handle it. She can nail you.
So actually, and I actually kind of think Beyonce. Beyonce
(46:31):
is playing yes beyon Yes, yes, yes, because and this
is why Beyonce is actually really goofy, like she's very sick,
Like she's very you know, when you look at Beyonce,
you see she's chill, she's quiet. But Beyonce has a
really goofy, silly side. And that's me Like, so I
really I think she could kind of like, you know,
(46:52):
give like the laid back Robin and the goofy Robbin.
Then Beyonce probably got a little fire in her. Yes,
ask what you gotta put? Sure like you? Yeah? Yeah,
I like it? So I like it. That's everything. That's
gonna be the number one movie in America, Beyonce, That's
gonna be amazing. Um. Last question of talk about superheroes
(47:13):
on my podcast. I've got to know, like who were
your favorite heroes growing up? And you know or now,
like who do you if you gotta you know, going
to the costume stores? Who are you going in there? Like?
What costume are you picking out? Um? Okay, so superheroes, Okay,
growing up, I loved wonder Woman. Um, you know wonder Woman,
(47:34):
like you know, the whole you're fighting bullets with your
bracelets was amazing to me. Um, I think you know
that was gonna be my n I knew you're gonna
say wonder Woman. Yeah. I think almost like almost every
little girl or you know, we'll say wonder woman, because
she was just like, you know, she was bad, she's
a badass, but she was like beautiful, you know what
(47:55):
I mean. She just look it was just like the
costume is perfect, her air, her makeup, like, yeah, she's
definitely definitely wonder Woman for sure. Yes, I love those answers.
We lay DC over here. So that's great. Okay, good good,
Oh my gosh, all right, you have been amazing. Thank
you so much. This has been so much. Can Kendrick,
(48:17):
can you shout shout out your podcast, your Instagram page
and all that of course, so you can follow me
on all major platforms. I'm a Reality and Comics Too
of course, hosted by Kenji Tucker. I'm on Instagram at
Reality Comics Too. That's t o O follow me on there.
I'm always making memes and I'm trying to interact as
much as I can in the comments. But lord, y'all
(48:39):
comments so fast. I can't you know I'm trying, so
I'm drying. Yes, And I love what you do because
it is lighthearted and it's not mean. Um, you know
your page. You don't like to get in. You know,
you don't like to promote the nastiness. So I appreciate
that for sure. Yes, thank you. Continuate continue loving the
Green Bandits because we love YouTube, of course. All right,
(49:04):
that is our show. We're welcome. You're We're welcome. That
