Speaker 2 (00:49):
Hi.
Speaker 3 (00:50):
I'm Sandra Champlain. For over twenty five years, I've been
on a journey to prove the existence of life after death.
On each episode, we'll discuss the reasons we now know
that our loved ones have survived physical debt and so
will we. Welcome to Shades of the Afterlife. There's been
(01:10):
a lot of talk lately on automatic writing to be
in touch with our deceased loved ones, you know, quieting
the mind, having a pen and paper in hand, and
allowing the words to come to your mind and onto
the paper as if your loved one is writing them
to you. Two of the best examples that I've shared
on Shades of the Afterlife back on episode one hundred
(01:33):
and fifty with Stephen Simon how he uses automatic writing
to connect with his wife. Stephen, as you remember, is
the director of the hit films Somewhere in Time with
Christopher Reeve in the Afterlife film What Dreams May Come
with Robin Williams. Then it was back on episode one
seventy seven that I spoke with psychology professor doctor Matthew McKay,
(01:58):
where he told his story of communicating with his deceased
son through automatic writing and gives us detailed instructions how
we can all do it. So you want to go
back definitely to that episode. It is said that it
may feel like in the beginning that ninety nine percent
of our writing is us, coming from our own mind
(02:21):
and our own subconscious, and that only one percent is
our loved one speaking. I am a firm believer that
in time and in practice, not just you practicing, but
your loved ones practicing from their side of life that
more and more we continue to feel our loved one's presence,
and the words we write will recognize them as their language,
(02:46):
how they spoke, and will feel this gentle presence of
them when we write. One of the most well known
cases of automatic writing in history is author Neil Donald Walsh,
who wrote the book books Conversations with God. I think
there's four books in total. He's written a ton of
other books as well, including a book on the afterlife,
(03:10):
which is titled Home with God, A Life That Never Ends.
When I was early on in my investigation about the afterlife,
this book came out. I think it was around two
thousand and six. Two thousand and seven I first had
listened to all of the Conversations with God audio books
(03:31):
and purchased the hardcover of Home with God, which I
now hold in my hands, and I thought that it
could be a perfect time for some story time with
Sandra reading some of these really inspirational quotes and parts
of the book. I'll even include a few words from
(03:55):
Neil Donald Walsh talking about the afterlife at the end
of the episode. If you're a longtime listener, you'll know
that Shades of the Afterlife is all inclusive. I don't
discuss religion, and I respect whatever religious belief you may
or may not have. So we have highly religious folks
(04:15):
that listen, some who aren't sure what they believe, and
even atheists because believe it or not, Atheists may not
believe in God, but many do believe in the afterlife,
and of course there's those in between. I myself would
say I'm spiritual but not religious, and I think maybe
you fit in that category as well. So the word
(04:37):
God doesn't sit well with many. And if my use
of the word God may not sit well with you,
I want you to imagine something. Throughout my podcasts, you'll
often hear of the light, and I like that it's
a light or energy or divine presence that runs through
all living things. So take a minute. Imagine that there's
(05:00):
a whole bunch of different lamps in front of you. Well,
these lamps endless, as they may be in shapes and
sizes and colors, they represent different religions and beliefs in
the world. So can you imagine all these lamps. Great,
But here's the thing. Although there may be many lamps,
(05:21):
the light in them remains the same. So when I
refer to God. Just picture it's that light. That light
that runs through me, it runs through you. And if
you want to give automatic writing a try, you'll find
that while we may do it for the intent of
speaking to our deceased loved ones, there is another voice
(05:46):
that may speak to you. It is a very wise
and intelligent voice, and from my personal experience, it is
the voice of our soul, which is divinely connected to
this light. Let's get back to Neil Donald Walsh, who
is the author made famous by Conversations with God. This
(06:07):
book series has sold millions of copies worldwide. Back in
nineteen ninety two, Neil was desperate, a broken man, and
simply dropped to his knees to ask God for some
answers to his questions, not knowing that a voice would
speak to him late at night. He scribbled these questions
(06:28):
and answers on dozens of legal pads, and eventually these
words became the books that have impacted the world. Neil
says he heard it as a voiceless voice, or the
voice of his own thoughts, that we all have moments
when we are thinking to ourselves and we listen to
(06:48):
our own thoughts, that the experience is like that, although
listening to one's thoughts that he would have never had
in a million years. When he was asked how his
first communication came to him, he says, nothing was going
right in my life. My relationship with my significant other
was falling apart, my health was going rapidly downhill, my
(07:12):
career had reached a dead end. And on top of that,
my car was stolen from the street right outside where
I was living. And just before that, I was in
an automobile accident before the car was stolen, in which
I broke my neck. So it was a series of
events where I really fell to my knees honestly and said, Okay, God,
(07:33):
what do you want from me? I didn't want to
do life anymore. I woke up with those thoughts one
particular night, and it was four twenty three in the morning,
and I was walking around my little apartment and those
thoughts were going through my mind. I sat on the
couch and then I heard a voice. It said, Neil,
(07:53):
do you really want answers to all of those questions?
Or are you just venting? So I looked across the
room and there was no one there, and I thought, terrific.
Not only as my life falling apart. I'm now going
absolutely out of my mind. But immediately after that first reaction,
(08:14):
I felt my entire being overcome with a peace and
a very reverent joy, as if one might be visited
by a saint or maybe the pope or the Dali Lama,
like someone at a very high level spiritually had walked
into the room. I just felt like, for the next
few moments that I'm pretty safe here with this voice,
(08:36):
so what can happen? And that feeling of joy moved
inside me and I began almost to weep with happiness.
And then I began to write very slowly on my
yellow legal pad all of the questions that I had
about life, and I noticed I was receiving answers. It
was like taking dictation. I was receiving thoughts and writing
(08:59):
them down as fast as I could. At one point
I even said whoa slow down, slow down, and the
voice actually did slow down. I experienced that the answers
were astonishing me, and they brought up even more questions.
Before I knew it, and without planning it, I was
involved in an on paper dialogue which I chose to
(09:22):
call after a few mornings of this conversations with God,
because that's exactly how I experienced it. Did I have
a little bit of apprehension at the beginning? Did I think,
oh my gosh, here I am trafficking the devil? Yes,
I had that thought once or twice. But I kept
on looking at the quality of the information, and I thought,
(09:43):
I'm open enough to see just where this is going.
You must understand, I was never dreaming of writing a book.
It didn't occur to me that this private personal journey
would ultimately become a book. It wasn't until about one
third into this writing that I was told, point blank,
(10:04):
these writings will one day become a book. So I
sent the words from the handwritten yellow legal pad that
had been keyboarded by a stenographer out to five spiritual publishers,
and by golly, if one of them didn't call me
back in about a week and say we're going to
publish this book, and we're going to put it on FastTrack,
(10:27):
this is astonishing stuff. The rest, as they say, is history,
as within three months, the first book had become an
international bestseller, and it went on the New York Times
Bestseller list, where it stayed for one hundred and thirty
seven weeks, Neil was asked can we all commune with
(10:51):
spirit directly? His response was it was a question I
asked early on in the first book, Why Me and God?
Said Neil, I talked to everyone all the time. The
question is not to whom I am talking. The answer
is who's listening. The question is answered over and over again.
(11:15):
The dialogue has made it clear to me that everyone
has access to this and is in fact having conversations
with God. They're simply calling it something else. They're calling
it intuition, a psychic hit, a moment of inspiration, whatever
name they think they can get away with so they
won't be marginalized in a society which does not believe.
(11:39):
Half the people don't believe in God. The other half
who do believe don't believe God would talk directly to us.
So this book that I hold in my hands, Home
with God in a Life that Never Ends, is over
three hundred pages, and my ego mind is saying, why
did I pick this is a topic today? How can
(12:01):
you make a difference in just an hour with listeners?
How are you going to distinguish the voice of Neil
Donald Walsh and the voice of God well, my friends,
I have no idea how to answer these questions. But
what I do know is that I'm passionate about the
book and that if it's something that interests you, you
may yourself get a copy. You can find out more
(12:24):
about Neil on his website Neil donald Walsh dot com,
and there are tons of inspirational quotes by him and
from the books. One of my favorite is life begins
at the end of your comfort zone. Recording this episode today,
(12:45):
I am definitely not in my comfort zone, but you
know what, I am going to do my best in
hopes that God or the Light is going to work
with me in recording it for you. So let's go
to our first broad and we will be back. You're
listening to Shades of the Afterlife on the iHeartRadio and
(13:06):
Coast to Coast AM Paranormal podcast Network. Welcome back to
(13:30):
Shades of the Afterlife. I'm Sandra Champlain and in this
segment together, we're going to do some reading from the
book Home with God in a Life That Never Ends,
by Neil Donald Walsh, who's the author of the Conversations
with God series. Throughout the book, there are no chapters,
(13:51):
but what there are are different things that are called remembrances.
I won't go through all of them now, but here
are just some. No path home is better than any
other path. You and God are one. There is no
separation between you. You cannot change ultimate reality, but you
(14:12):
can change your experience of it. Birth and death are
the same thing. Free choice is the act of pure
creation and your gift, your glory, and your power forever
and ever, and in death you will be greeted by
all of your loved ones, those who have died before you,
(14:33):
and those who will die after you. Sounds like a riddle,
doesn't it. Let me start by reading the introduction by
Neil Donald Walsh. This is the word for word transcription
of a holy conversation. It is a conversation with God
about being home with God. It is the last installment
of an extraordinary dialogue, covering nearly three thousand pages in
(14:58):
nine books, written over a life eleven years, and touching
on all aspects of human life. The present Exchange explores
many areas of human experience, and at a greater depth
than ever before. One area, in particular, death, in dying
and the life hereafter. The dialogue at one point journeys
(15:20):
into territory, lying at the furthest frontier of spirituality, the
cosmology of all of life. It offers a breathtaking glimpse
of ultimate reality, presented through metaphor. It reveals in simple,
accessible language, the reason and purpose for living, ways in
which humans may achieve the greatest joy, the nature of
(15:43):
the journey upon which we are all embarked, and the
extraordinary end to that journey, an end that turns out
to be not an end at all, but an ecstatic
interlude in a glorious and ongoing experience, the full description
of which staggers the imagination. The dialogue here is circular.
(16:04):
It springs forward in spirals to astonishing new and never
described or imagined places, then springs back to old ground
to make sure the next mind bending exploration begins on
solid footing. If you will have patience with this book,
and by the way, with your life, it will reward
(16:24):
you grandly. The message of Home with God maybe one
of the most hopeful and helpful that humanity has ever received.
It is important for you to understand how you came
to this conversation. If you think you came to it
by chance, you will have missed the enormity of what
is happening to you right now. Your soul has brought
(16:46):
you to this conversation. It has brought you to every
other conversation you have ever had in whatever form you
have been brought here because the universe understands that you
have been quietly calling for answers to the questions all
humans ask, what is really going on here in this life?
And what will happen when this life is over? Will
(17:08):
we be reunited with loved ones who have gone before?
Will we know what's going on after we die? Wrapped
in the replies to these inquiries are enormous implications for
every human being. Would we live our lives any differently
if we actually had those answers? I think we would.
We would be less afraid to die as we were
(17:28):
always intended to live. It hurts my heart to know
that many people feel frightened as they approach their time
of passing into the next world, to say nothing of
when they are in this one. Like my mother, she
was utterly at peace at death. The young priest who
went to administer the last rites of the church came
(17:48):
out shaking his head. She, he whispered, was comforting me.
Mom had an unshakable faith that she was stepping into
the arms of God. She knew what life was about,
and she knew what death was not about. Life was
giving all that you had to all that you loved,
without hesitation, without question, without limitation. Death was not about
(18:15):
anything closing down, but everything opening up. I remember that
she used to say, when I die, don't be sad,
dance on my grave. Mom felt that God was by
her side during her entire life, and that this was
exactly where God was going to be at her death.
There are a few more pages, but at the end
(18:35):
of the introduction, he says, it is a miracle that
you found this text. I believe that it is as
I have said. I believe your soul drew you to
this book out of the impulse that draws each of
us onward to our next step, to our next understanding,
and ultimately to the divine. None of us has to
follow that impulse. We may change course at any direction,
(18:59):
we may go in any other direction, or we may
stand still and not go anywhere for a long time,
stalled in our confusion. Eventually, however, we will all move
forward again, and we cannot fail to ultimately reach our destination.
The destination is the same for all of us. We
are all on a journey home, and we shall not
(19:20):
fail to arrive there. That is, in three sentences the
message of this entire book. Everybody is doing everything for themselves.
When you understand that this is true, even about dying,
you will never fear dying again. It is impossible to
live or to die without God, but it is not
(19:42):
impossible to think that you are. If you think that
you are dying or living without God, you will experience
that you are. You may have this experience as long
as you wish. You may end this experience whenever you choose.
I believe these are holy words. I believe they came
(20:03):
directly from God. Those words have been floating around in
my mind for the past four years. I see now
that they were my invitation, an invitation from God for
a larger conversation. You're right. I wanted to make sure
we had this larger conversation, and so I placed those
words in your mind every time you thought seriously about
(20:27):
life or death, even for a moment. This is a
conversation you've been reluctant to have and have put off repeatedly. Yes,
I know It's not that I'm afraid to talk deeply
about life or even death. It's just that these are
very complex subjects, and I wanted to make sure I
was really prepared to enter into a huge conversation about them.
(20:50):
I wanted to be psychologically and well, I guess spiritually ready.
Do you feel ready now? I hope so. I can't
keep putting off this conversation forever, even if I've tried.
You just keep placing those words into my head. That's right,
I would, because those are the words I want you
to hear. Even if you never get to the rest
(21:13):
of the conversation. Okay, I've heard them. I want you
to hear them over and over again. It is impossible
to live or to die without God, but it is
not impossible to think that you are. If you think
that you are living or dying without God, you will
experience that you are. You may have this experience as
(21:37):
long as you wish. You may end this experience whenever
you choose those words convey all that anyone who is
afraid of living or dying will ever need to know.
Then we can end the conversation right here. We can
How deep do you wish to go? In your higher understandings.
(21:59):
Should you choose to continue with this conversation, I will
present you with one hundred more words, a one hundred
word formula for all of life. Well, there's a tease.
That's exactly what it was meant to be, and it worked.
I'm not about to cut the conversation short now. So
(22:21):
I am here having a conversation with God about living
and dying again. Yes, but looking at many things we
have never discussed before. Who would believe this? It doesn't matter.
You're not having the conversation for anyone else. You're having
it for yourself. I have to keep reminding myself of that.
(22:43):
So often people see themselves as doing something for someone
else when they're really doing it for themselves. Everybody is
doing everything for themselves. When you have awakened to this awareness,
you will have reached breakthrough. And when you understand and
that this is true, even about dying, you will never
(23:03):
fear dying again. And when you no longer fear dying,
you will no longer fear living. You will live your
life fully right up until the very last moment. Hold it,
Wait a minute, you're saying that when I'm dying, I'm
doing it for myself, of course, who else would you
(23:24):
be doing it? For once you understand most of the
questions you've ever had about death, you'll answer most of
the questions you've ever had about life. Well, we're off
to an interesting start. That's a very intriguing statement. It
is the first of many that will appear here. Yet
our dialogue will go to places that will not only
(23:47):
be intriguing, but for some people unbelievable. Such will be
the nature of the remembrances for which you came the remembrances.
It is, as I have told you in previous conversations,
you have nothing to learn, only to remember. The conversation
(24:09):
we are about to have, as with all of our conversations,
will help.
Speaker 1 (24:14):
You do that.
Speaker 3 (24:15):
It will lead you through a series of remembrances about
life and death. You will notice that many of these
remembrances have to do with death. This is by design,
for it is through a deeper understanding of death that
you will most quickly reach a deeper understanding of life.
(24:36):
Some of these remembrances may be surprising, for they will
challenge much of what you thought you knew. Others will
not surprise you at all, As soon as you hear them,
you will be aware that you knew them all along.
Taken together, these remembrances will bring you back to yourself,
reminding you of all you need to know in order
(24:59):
to experience that you are home with God. So we're
five pages into a book that is over three hundred pages,
and it is time for our break. Home with God
with Neil Donald Walsh is the title. We'll go to
the break and I may just skip to the end
about meeting up with our deceased loved ones when we
(25:21):
get back. You're listening to Shades of the Afterlife on
the iHeartRadio and Coast to Coast A and Paranormal Podcast Network.
(25:52):
Welcome back to Shades of the Afterlife. I'm Sandra Champlain
and I'm reading to you from the book Home with
God by Neil Donald Walsh. I decided to open to
a random page and see if it really is random.
This page says, let us be clear, Hell does not exist.
(26:12):
There simply is no such place. I know that this
is the question of the ages what happens following our death,
But I've got to ask it directly, and I hope
you give me a direct answer. Of course, I will
but it's not going to be a short answer. Let
me begin by saying that there is one thing that
will be the same for everyone, and that is your
(26:35):
death will be experienced in what you would call stages
or phases, and the first stage is the same for everyone.
In stage one, at the moment of your death, you
will instantly experience that life has gone on. This will
be the same for everyone. There could be a brief
(26:55):
period of disorientation as you come to realize that you
or not with your body, but instead are now separate
from it. Soon you will come to understand that while
you have died, you have not ended your life. It
is in this moment that you will realize and experience fully,
(27:17):
perhaps for the first time, that you are not your body,
that a body is something you can have, but not
something you are. Immediately, you will move into stage two
of your death, and this is where individual paths diverge
in what way If the belief system that you embraced
(27:39):
before your death includes the certainty of life going on.
Once you grasp that you have died, you will know
immediately what is happening and you will understand it. Your
second stage will then be the experience of whatever you
believe happens after death, this will be instantaneous. If you
(28:01):
believe in reincarnation, for instance, you may experience moments from
a previous life of which you had no previous conscious memory.
If you believe that you will be enfolded in the
embracing arms of an unconditionally loving God, that will be
your experience. If you believe in a day of judgment
(28:22):
or a time of reckoning followed by a paradise or
damnation for all eternity, yes, tell me what happens, then
exactly what you expect. As soon as you move through
stage one of death and realize that you are no
longer living with the body, you will move into stage
two and experience yourself being judged just exactly as you
(28:46):
imagined that you would be, and the judgment will turn
out exactly as you imagined that it would. If you
died thinking that you deserve heaven, you will immediately experience that,
And if you think you deserve Hell, you will immediately
experience that feeling. Heaven will be exactly as you imagined
(29:08):
it would be as well. Hell. Well, then Hell is
for real. Let us be clear. Hell does not exist.
There simply is no such place. Therefore, there is no
such place for you to go. You have created that
experience based on your belief, but you will not remain there,
(29:31):
as hell does not exist. What about those who created
a heaven for themselves? Will they go to stage three? Eventually? Yes,
they will remember that they created the experience of their heaven.
Then they will realize the same thing that they realized
at the end of their earthly life, which is that
(29:53):
there is nothing more to do, so they will move on.
They will move on into age three of death. But
I don't want to describe that just yet. Let's look
at some other stage two possibilities for you first, okay,
like what you could be one of those who die
in a place of uncertainty about whether life goes on
(30:16):
at all after death? Oh yes, I see, Okay, Well
what happens? Then you will be confused and uncertain as
to what is happening. You will realize that you are
not your body, that you are dead. But since you
are uncertain about what, if anything, comes next, you may
spend time trying to figure out how to proceed. Will
(30:39):
I have help, all the help you can accept. In
the moments after your death, you will all find yourself
in the presence of the most loving angels and guides
and gentle spirits, including the spirit or essence of everyone
who has been important to you in your life. My mom,
(31:00):
my dad, my brother will be there. Those you have
loved the most will be closest to you. They will
surround you with love. That's wonderful. The presence of these
loved ones and angels will be of enormous help to you,
assisting you in becoming oriented and understanding exactly what is
(31:23):
happening to you and what your options are. I had
heard that we are reunited with our loved ones after
death and that they will help us cross over. I'm
so glad to know this is true. You may even
become aware of the presence of some loved ones before
your death, before my death. Yes, many people, while they
(31:45):
are still in their physical bodies, announced to others in
the room that they are seeing loved ones or that
they're beloved has come for them. Those others in the
room often try to convince dying people that they are
seeing things, and they are seeing things, things that are
very real, but things that other people cannot see because
(32:07):
of their limited perspective. Your perspective widens immensely after death,
and often in the moments just before you die. That's exciting.
Now you're almost making death sound exciting. It is exciting.
In fact, your death can be one of the most
exciting moments of your entire life. It all depends on
(32:31):
what you believe. As in life, in death, what you
believe is what you will experience. For instance, if you
do not experience the presence of these spirits at the
time of your death, it will be because you do
not expect to, and the possibility of their presence lies
(32:51):
outside of your belief system. Yet, if you so much
as hope that these loving presences will be there, you
will immediately perceive them. I understand. So it really is
important to be clear about your beliefs surrounding death. It
is important in life to be clear about your beliefs
(33:12):
surrounding everything. It is not just your death that is
affected by your beliefs, but your whole life. Wait a minute,
what does this say about my father? My father believed
that nothing happens after death, absolutely nothing. If you die
in a place of certainty that there is no life
(33:32):
after death. Once you realize that you have died, you
will move immediately into stage two, which will be the
experience that there is no life. How can somebody experience
no life? You will experience nothing at all. There will
simply be no experience. Things will still be going on,
(33:54):
but you will not be able to perceive them. It
is exactly as it would be now if you were
sleeping while things were going on all around you. So
there is no hope. My father died absolutely certain that
there was nothing, no life of any kind, no experience
whatsoever after death, so there's no hope for him again.
(34:17):
When you die in a place like that, it is
like falling asleep. But they do wake up. The good
news is that everybody wakes up. Just as in earthly life,
you would not stay sleeping forever, so too, you will
not remain in oblivious slumber forever in the afterlife. That
(34:38):
is not the plan. The soul will awaken through the
ministrations of loved ones and angels. Then it will wonder
where it is, why nothing is going on, what has happened.
It will begin to put two and two together, and
in that moment the soul will move into a conscious
awareness of stage two of death. Do not worry, It's
(35:03):
not a bad thing. It's just about getting reoriented. It's
like quickly flipping through the TV channels with the remote.
There's nothing harmful going on. You just have to decide
which channel you want to watch. If you start to
feel a little overwhelmed and begin wishing that you had
some help, you will immediately become aware of those loved
(35:26):
ones and angels and spirits who have been hovering around
you and ministering to you, waiting for you to notice
they are there. In any event, you will soon settle
on a picture from the thousands of pictures in your mind,
and you will start creating from there. It is now
important for you to understand that none of the scenarios
(35:48):
that I have just laid out for you have anything
to do with the ultimate reality that is experienced in
stage three. I have just described for you the two stages,
the earliest stages of your after death experience. Now, dear listener,
I feel you wondering, what in the world is Stage three. Now,
(36:12):
there's many more chapters that discuss Stage three, But to
my understanding, it is a merging with the divine and
kind of dipping in and dipping out of being in
the divine presence, so that our souls are now looking
at life through the divine perspective, being of aid to others,
(36:38):
making a difference, feeling that unconditional love, being a guide perhaps.
And in the book he shares how we can actually
go through these three stages while we're here living on earth.
And wouldn't it be great to have our belief in life,
(37:00):
life and the afterlife and what happens and spend our
lives as if we have merged with the divine and
of course we are part of it, And to be
looking at situations in our life, other people in our life,
opportunities to make a difference, all coming from those eyes
(37:23):
of a divine being. It's possible we can start by
loving people unconditionally, no matter how they've treated us. We're
looking at situations that nothing's wrong and it's all growth
for our soul, and we don't have to have a
physical death to get there. There'll be more from the
book Home with God, A Life That Never Ends by
(37:46):
Neil Donald Walsh when we get back. Also, you'll hear
some beautiful words from the author. You're listening to Shades
of the Afterlife on the iHeartRadio and Coast to Coast
Paranormal Podcast Network. Welcome back to Shades of the Afterlife.
(38:25):
I'm Sandra Champlain. Before our time is up today, I
want to read a little bit more from the end
of the book and play some words from the author
Neil Donald Walsh. I have saved two remembrances for the
end of our conversation. These are the most joyous. The
first of these is the seventeenth remembrance. In death, you
(38:48):
will be greeted by all of your loved ones, those
who have died before you and those who will die
after you. These souls will comfort you as you release
your attachment to the physical world, gently guiding you into
the spiritual realm. You are never alone and cannot be
alone by the very nature of who you are. For
(39:09):
you are not an individual, but an individuation of the
all You are part of. All of us who live,
and all of us who live have an investment in
the experience of you. Your ancestors walk with you, your
heirs stand behind you, watching your decisions on their behalf.
We are all with you always, and you with us.
(39:34):
It takes but your belief to know that we are there.
This last remembrance I cannot comprehend do you mean that
when I close my eyes in death and open them
in the afterlife, everyone I have ever loved, including those
I have just left behind, will be there. If you
want them to be, they will be there. If you
(39:55):
believe they will be if you so much as hope
they will be, you will be aware of their presence
beside you. Such is the wonder of the ultimate reality, that,
though it may be experienced as a long while for
those who remain living in physicality with the illusion of time,
(40:15):
it will be in your own moment of now that
you will be reunited. Your greeting of each other at
the end of your physical lives is see quintaneous. But
when a thing is sequential and simultaneous, which do I experience?
You've never explained this to me before. Do I experience
that one thing is happening after another, or do I
(40:37):
experience everything happening instantly, whichever you choose. You may look
at an individual image in your mural, or you may
step back and look at the entire mural at once.
It is all a matter of perspective, and you may
choose any perspective that serves you, and you may take
any perspective that pleases you. It may be years before
(41:01):
your presently living loved ones die, yet those years will
be compressed into less than an instant in the place
of no time. If you wish to step back from
the mural and see the whole picture, you will experience
them joining you in the afterlife in no time at all.
That is why I said before that if you believe
(41:23):
that your loved ones, all of your loved ones will
be with you in the afterlife just as you cross over.
If you so much as hope that they will be,
you will be aware of their presence beside you. Belief
creates perspective and allows you to see a larger picture.
I tell you now you will be together with all
(41:44):
the souls with whom you have ever traveled, those you
are traveling with now, and those souls you will travel
within the future. Heaven is all there is, the eighteenth remembrance.
My free choice is the act of pure creation, the
signature of God and your gift, your glory and your
(42:07):
power forever and ever. Neil says. You may exercise this
power both in the spiritual realm and in the physical world.
With your thoughts, with your words, and with your deeds.
Will you do so, you are doing so now, even
in the present moment. Therefore, in this glorious time of now,
always recreate yourself anew in the next grandest version of
(42:32):
the greatest vision you ever held about who you are.
And know this. Finally, whatever you choose and wherever you are,
you will always have the ability to instantly be home
with God. Next, here's some special words from author Neil
Donald Walsh. Death is a fiction.
Speaker 1 (42:54):
It doesn't exist. It can't occur in the experience of
who you are, which is a sacred being known as
your soul, that lives past the end of what you
call your physical life. When you're fully awake, you will
find yourself never again mourning the death of another, not
(43:19):
even for a moment. You might mourn your loss, but
not their death. In fact, you'll actually celebrate celebrate their
death by celebrating both the moments of love and joy
that they shared with you and the fact that they're
now continuing to live in the free and wondrous expression
(43:39):
of their evolutionary process. You would likewise neither fear nor
mourn your own death, and for precisely the same reason.
How is that possible? How can we not mourn the
death of another, because you wouldn't be sad for something
that's not true, that's not even happening. When was the
(44:03):
last time you were really sad for a long period
of time about something that didn't happen. I'm really sad
that I fell down the stairs, but you never fell
down the stairs. I know what I'm sad. Anyway, you
wouldn't do that, So why would you be sad because
somebody has celebrated their continuation day. You see, the whole
(44:27):
point of this particular lesson is to embrace the notion
that death does not exist. Now, this is not a
New Age philosophy. This is not some kind of a
new thought principle. Do you realize that every major religion
(44:48):
on the face of the earth teaches us that death
does not exist. Most of the major religions are built
around the idea that the soul is past the end
of the body and the mind. Once you understand that,
you don't find yourself in mourning over the death of another,
(45:13):
but really you celebrate that they have celebrated their own
continuation day. It's not a small thing because it can
change and alter your entire experience of a loved one
(45:34):
departing their physical expression. I know some people who have
mourned the death of a loved one for a long time.
Not I mean a week or two, or even a
month or two, or even a year or two, but
in some cases for a very long time. And it's sad.
(45:56):
You know what's sad about that. Sad about that is
that the last person who would want them to stay
in such mourning would be the person who's actually left
their physical experience, this last tape they would want, I
(46:17):
promise you, so you will know you're fully awake when
you failed to mourn the death of a loved one
and failed to even mourn your own death. I remember
my mom. She was a great example of this. My
(46:39):
mother was born into what we would call the new
thought community, you know, the New age community. She was
way before that, that was after her time. But she
sure didn't understand what I'm telling you. And I recall
in her life as she moved through the final months
of her life, and everyone knew, everyone knew it was
(47:01):
the final months of her life. I would come into
her hospital room and I'd say, Mom, cushion, I just
feel so sorry, she said, sweetheart, don't don't feel sorry.
She said to me words, I'll never forget. Dance on
my grave. Promise me dance on my grave. And I
(47:32):
promised her I would. And when she passed, I was sad,
of course, for my old loss, of course, but I
wasn't sad for her anymore, because she was a living minister.
She ministered to me, She ministered to my warning before
I couldn't even have a chance to fall into it.
(47:52):
And you know I did what she asked, I really did.
I went to the cemetery where she was buried, very
very late one evening, found her grave site, looked at
the gravestone, gave it a little kiss, looked around to
(48:16):
make sure no one was watching, did a little two step,
a little dance on her grave. This dances for you
when you're fully awake. You dance through the moments that
(48:36):
you once mourned, and you mourned no more.
Speaker 3 (48:47):
Powerful words, imagining a life no more mourning, dancing on
graves that our loved ones have graduated, and that we
will see them again. Today I was reading from Home
