Speaker 1 (00:01):
This is Take twenty with Maddie and Kenzie Ziggler and
I Heart Radio Podcast. Okay, guys, so this is part
two of the last episode. If you haven't listened, you
should do that. This is now Maddie's um take on
(00:22):
her day in the life. We basically, I just asked
Kenzie like a bunch of questions because a lot of
you have been wanting to know what our everyday life
is really like realistically. So I asked her like kind
of I walked her through her like what she does
in a day and kind of her routine and everything.
So now Kenzie is gonna ask me. I'm in the
hot seats. Welcome, Welcome through the hot seats. Um walk
(00:49):
us through your day if you are like really busy
that day. If I'm really busy, I mean you're always busy. Really,
I mean, I can walk you through what my day
is gonna be like today. What could I do that then?
Because I actually have things today. So woke up five am,
(01:12):
took my brother and his girlfriend to the airport. I
felt like a really like I felt like an assistant
or something. Was it nice? M I mean, it wasn't
great waking up, but well, what happened is I had
an alarm at five and then no sorry five, then
five oh five, and then I snoozed the five of
five and I was like, I fell back to sleep,
(01:33):
and then we were want to leave up five fifteen,
and then I heard them like walking out of the
door starting to roll their suitcase at five thirteen, and
I was like, and I just put shoes on, and
I was like, hey, guys, like I didn't even like breathe.
I was like, oh my gosh, okay, and I'm like
in the car turned open, wake up, wake up, wake up.
That's not good. No. I was very much awake when
(01:55):
I got in the car because I was like, oh
my gosh, stressed, you're gonna miss it. Yeah, And and
got home, went to sleep, woke up, got ready or
did a Starbucks. Kensey picked me up. We came here
recorded I go home and I have my suitcase packed already,
it's just a little carry on. And then I'm getting
on a flight today. I'm going to visit Eddie on tour.
(02:16):
He's on tour with Justin Baby right now, so I'm
visiting him there. Um and I'm going to be a
little groupie. The next three days. Um, and yeah, I
don't know what I have planned there, and I was
told to bring a bathing suit because they have like
two days off. So I'm there apparently a really beautiful beach,
so that's so fun. Yeah, I didn't even know you
(02:38):
were leaving today. Really, See, this is the thing she
doesn't tell me when she's going somewhere. No, I did
tell you that I was going, remember, because I said this.
Oh gosh, ken We've had this conversation three times. I said,
you're going to pick me up today and then you're
going to drop me off, and when you dropped me off,
on your boots in my car. But I didn't know
that you were leaving right then and there. Yeah, I
thought Boots was just coming to hang out. No, he's
(03:00):
sleeping over for the next three days, so it's gonna
be a blast. I love Boots. That's not sarcastic. No,
Boots is my favorite dog. Other than obviously they're they're
probably at the same level. I love them both the same.
That's really cute, Kenzie Boots. I mean, you've known Boots
for longer. Boots, he feels like a like an actual
(03:22):
human to me. I feel like we have like an
actual human connection totally. But besides the point, what time
do you usually wake up? Recently, I've been waking up
at like eight, which is so annoying, But it's only
because I go to bed early because I'm a little
(03:42):
woos grandma. She she goes to sleep before my mom
goes to sleep. That's why I think it's so funny.
I'll wake up from miscalls for mom at like ten thirty.
This is why I don't we always. She always is
like she no more comes to my apartment ever, But
because literally there's no point because you go to sleep
(04:03):
at like seventh thre Remember when I like, any time
I sleep over your house, You're like, you can't fall
asleep this early, Like we're gonna do something like we
have to watch something. I'm like, yeah, no, no no, no,
I'm not gonna fall asleep. Five seconds into like the
show we're watching, it fell asleep. Literally, she is fun
but until it gets a nighttime she's it's turned into
a pumpkin pumpkin. Literally, it's so funny. Do you usually
(04:27):
sit an alarm or do you know? Really you just
wake up. It's unfortunate, and I even have blackout curtains.
They're not like fully black out. But I also like
sometimes what I'll do is I'll wake up, because I'll
wake up and I'll like be on my phone for
a little, and sometimes I fall back to sleep for
a little. Like sometimes you're like, sometimes I wake up
(04:52):
at if I'm being risky, I could have slept a
lot today. But that's because, well, you're going to be
in a flight, so you can go to sleep. That's true.
But the flight is only an hour. In seventeen minutes.
That's enough for me. That's enough. If I just take
an hour, that's true. I'm good. I feel like we're
really good about sleeping on the plane. I can I
can fall asleep anywhere. Well that anywhere I can't fall asleep,
(05:14):
but if it's on a plane, I'm knocked out before
the plane. Have you ever fallen asleep before it takes off?
And then you wake up when it's landing and you're like, oh,
that's great, except when it's like a four hour long
flight and then you wake up and it's like three
hours left and you're like, oh my god, I slept
and I'm not gonna be able to sleep. It's anyways,
(05:35):
how often do you shower in a day day? I mean,
I am a night shower girl. I obviously, like I said,
if I'm working out, obviously I shower twice and like
I'll shower assumes my workout finishes and I but I
definitely like I want to make it a priority to
say shower. Take more baths because they actually are relaxing.
(05:59):
I just relaxing. I'm the type of person, which I
know there's other people out there like this who think
that when they're taking a bath they just feel like
they're sitting in their dirt. Because that's how I feel.
And I just feel like kind of icky sometimes in
the bath. But sometimes I can really relax. You're like
looking at me like I'm crazy. Well, you know, sometimes
I take a bath and then I'm like all right,
time to hop in the shower. And I would take
(06:20):
a shower and then hop in the bath or yeah, advice,
I've done that before. Like sometimes when when we used
to live together, we like, especially me, you and our
friend Maizie, we'd like put bathing seats on and then
we'd go in the bath and we take like a
bubble bath together. It was so fun, like we were
in a hotel like that was our version off and
then we'd get we take a shower after we did
(06:42):
that a lot. I know. I also would always bring
my friends in your bath when you were gone, like
Dylan and I would always just be in the bath together.
That was fun. Um, what products are you using right now?
Like what's here? Must have skin product, because I'm actually curious. Okay, honestly,
my two favorite products right now are um the ordinary
(07:06):
neo cinemide. You keep talking about that niocinemade however you
pronounce it. It's like a serum and it's for um
like texts, textured um like acne prone skin, and it
literally has cleared so much. Skin looks so good. It's
that product, thank you, But it's every time I say
my skin is clear, it breaks out. So Also, just
(07:29):
drinking I really noticed, So I don't know if you noticed,
but when I drink was like when I'm really good
about drinking water, my skin is so much better. Also,
my other product that I'm obsessed with is very, very inexpensive.
It's um the well Doest skin food Light. I love
it so much. You can get it like at like
a Whole Foods. You can get it. I get it
(07:50):
an Amazon, but um, I used to use it a lot,
and then when I was over at your house, I
saw it in mom's skin care cabinet and I was like,
oh my gosh, I need that again. And I got
it back and I'm like obsessed, I've already gotten. I've
already bought too, Like I'm already through my first bottle
of it. It's so amazing. So if you guys are
(08:11):
looking for an inexpensive um like moisturizer, I when I
did that, like beauty Secrets, I used that what time
(08:35):
do you usually eat lunch or does it? Just like
it varies. I'm like one of those people where I
kind of have to force myself to eat breakfast sometimes
because I need to weirdly like don't get an appetite
into like twelve sometimes, which is so annoying. But I
still do try and eat breakfast, like because people always
say breakfast is the most important to me all the day,
(08:56):
and it does. I noticed such a difference in just
my energy throughout the day if I eat like a
good breakfast in the morning, even if it's like you said,
oatmeal or even like having an omelet like something like
that is so beneficial to like the start of my day.
But yeah, I usually eat lunch around like twelve or
one or sometimes two. It just depends. I've been obsessed
(09:18):
with tokaya. I eat it so much. I still don't
know what that is. It's like it's called modern Mexican food.
It's like, um, it's like a really yeah, it's like
a modern version. It's like not necessarily like super healthy. Well,
it's like very fresh, and I don't know, I love it.
It's really good. Do you ever watch TV during the
(09:41):
day or is it mostly I don't really. I would
watch like YouTube videos throughout the day, but I don't
unless I'm like really bored at home and I have
nothing to do and I have to binge a show,
then I'll do that, But most likely it's not until nighttime.
I feel dead. But Friends Friends is a was on though,
like cuts your background. I need to watch that. It's
(10:06):
so good, Kenzie. I can't believe still on this podcast,
the amount of times I've brought up Friends and every
time you're like, oh, I need to watch it. I
know it's an issue you really do, especially after like
following like euphoria and how how like sad that show
was I think you need something to brighten up for sure.
(10:27):
Also you will fall in love with Okay, I don't
need to convince you just need to watch to watch it.
How often does mom call you? I'm just curious because
when I'm in the same house as her, she calls you.
In the next in the room next to her, she
calls me seven times in five minutes. So I'm just wondering. Yeah,
you know, she calls me a lot. I mean I
call her a lot, but she calls like Okay, nothing
(10:49):
against parents, but this is such a parent thing to do.
Parents call to say nothing like they just they just
like sit on the phone. Like she'll call me to
be like, oh, Ivy just did this, and I'm like,
oh cool, and then she's like and then we're just
like sitting there. I'm like, is that all you wanted
to say? She's like, yeah, what are you doing? I'm like,
(11:10):
the same thing I was doing five minutes ago when
he called me. Right, She always does that. She'll just
call me to like say one thing that happened, and
then I'll be like, all right, I love you, Mom,
hang up. Five minutes later, Look what look what I'm like,
Oh my God, calm in my room and literally it's
(11:30):
sweet though, but like sometimes I'm like, there are some
things you probably could have just texted right. My favorite
thing though for me, Sorry, I just need to say this.
When it's dinner time and she texts me like dinner
is ready, and I like walked down the stairs. Apparently
I'm just really quiet. I walked down the stairs and
stand in like at the staircase and she's called. She's
face timing me and like waiting for me to come
(11:52):
come down, and I'm like, Mom, I'm right here. She's impatient.
Last night when I was over, she's like dinner, dinner,
She's like screaming it, and you're like downstairs, She's like dinner,
and You're like, I'm literally right here, mom. It takes
me to let me walk down the stairs like a
rush or something. Right, funny, Um, how often do you
(12:14):
work out? Well? I usually have, Like I was in
a really good workout routine for a while, but then
over Christmas obviously we stopped. And then into January, I've
had kind of like a little rib like irritation issue,
like not an injury, but it was just kind of
(12:35):
my rib kind of goes out of place sometimes and
it kind of went into my shoulder and it was
like really painful, and it's I've started doing physical therapy,
so I had to take like two months off of
working out, which is totally normal. And I've also like
I'm starting to realize, like our bodies are always going
to fluctuate, and it's okay to not always feel like toned,
like it's okay to go through phases of like whatever.
(12:56):
So I kind of just let my body just do
its thing. And I was like, you know what, it's okay.
I'm just gonna don't You don't need to feel insecure
about the fact that you're not working out or whatever.
And I just ate whatever I wanted. But now it
looks so good. But I have now I'm kind of
in the clear to start working out again. I went
to a pilates class for the first time of the day,
and my inner thighs are still and it's been four
(13:19):
days or five days, like literally my inner size it
hurts every morning when I get out of bed. That's
the worst though. But it's like good, it's good because
I know it worked. But I'm like, but like that
whole day, you're just like the worst. I feel like
driving is the worst when after you were right after
(13:39):
you do pilates and you're shaking. I was like, I literally,
so there's this place called earth Bar right by pilates
where I always go to after and I literally was
in the car. I got out and I walked into
earth Bar, and my knees were buckling because I was
so I just haven't worked out so long, and I'm
like walking and I was like, I feel like everyone's
staring at me because my legs were wobbling. Was like,
(14:00):
just imagine you like just following, and I was like
in the mindset of like just walking over and walking
because my legs were hurting. Like I was so like
I was shaking. Do you remember when the first time
I worked out with my trainer and I couldn't move
my arms so I don't push my elbow to my
hair to take my hair behind my hair like I
was dying. Hilarious, You know I didn't know that, Oh
(14:23):
my god, you didn't see that. It was the words
pain I've ever felt. But it felt so good after,
like I felt so strong. The second day is the worst, though,
But does it take you a long time to fall asleep?
This is bad that I've gotten so used to this,
but I false it takes me a lot longer fall
asleep when I'm at Humblom, like when Will makes sense.
(14:45):
When Eddie's home, I obviously fell asleep like instantly, but
like since he's left for tour, it's taken me a
lot longer to fall asleep. M just come sleep over
a mine, girl, you don't want me to sleep over
and Leslie stay away for hours? I'm just like, or
Boots will like sure, I'm flight. Boots come on and
(15:06):
the like he huffs and puffs and then he just
like lays do next to me and he's like looking
at me like it's so early heat. I have a
live photo. It's so cute. But yeah, she's like I said,
she's a grandma. She goes to sleep. Um. Do you
have a favorite dessert? Yeah, I would say my favorite dessert. Well, okay,
(15:30):
I have different categories of favorite dessert. My favorite ice
cream is chocolate chip ice cream classic with yeah, and
then um, I love apple pie. I think it's so delicious.
I love like like berry tarts. That sounds good and
I honestly I was never really a cake person. I
(15:50):
don't really love like all cakes, but chocolate cake is
so delicious. Every year for Maddie's birthday, we would she
didn't like cakes, we would get her cookie cake and
she would die over it. Don't really like it anymore.
I don't like it anymore either. Maybe we just overrate it.
I'd love I do like. I really like chocolate cake,
(16:13):
like chocolate. Um, like a chocolate fudge cake, so like
a dark chocolate like chocolate cake at all. I don't
like milk chocolate though I like dark chocolate cake. There's
a difference, Yeah, I think so, I don't like milk
chocolate in general. How rude. That's my favorite. Dark chocolate
(16:37):
is too like rich or something, and I love it.
I love it. It's like a weird, weird I don't know,
but I'll eat it. No offense to dark chocolate. I
was thinking, like, oh my shoot, they're gonna be offended. No,
that's just your personal opinion. You just like the grocer chocolate.
It's the most most most beautiful chocolate. Okay it because
(17:00):
like hers I hate Hershey chocolate. Okay, leave or she
kisses her there the same thing? Whatever? Um? What else
do I want to ask you? Why do you cook
for yourself? Do you like to cook? I can make
myself a very good omelet. I can make myself pesto like,
(17:24):
I can make it from scratch and then I could
put it on. You know. If I want to do toast,
I can do it on. I can make pasta with it. Um,
I can make good I recently have been. I love
like olive bread, so I'll like make alive bread nice
and toast. And then I do like avocado, and I'll
like do a Friday egg on top. It's really good.
(17:45):
One time, Eddie, Maddie and I were hanging out and
we were like, we should cook something. We went to
the grocery store and got a bunch of food and
we Eddie made like a steak, you mean a steak.
Maddie and I made arayake. Sauce was disgusting. Took us.
Oh my god, it was so good. I don't know
why I didn't like. Remember the first one we made
was gross and fixed it. It took us like a
(18:07):
couple's tries. But it was a really, really good meal.
And I expected it to be really bad. But I
need to learn to cook. But you know what the
easiest meal is to do. That's so delicious is the
Emily Maurico or whatever. The salmon and the salmon rice.
(18:27):
I just don't like salmon. No, but you have to
trust me on it. It's you mash up the salmon,
mash up the rice, and then you put it like
you put it in the microwave for like, I don't know,
three minutes, I don't know how long it is. And
then you add saracha CUPI mayo cup mayo is the
most delicious mayo ever. And then it's like a Japanese mayo,
and then um soy sauce, and then you eat it
(18:48):
with seaweed and it's so delicious. It takes it takes
literally five minutes to make the issues. I don't like salmon,
I don't like saracha, and I also don't like seaweeds,
so it doesn't sound good food for me. Okay, well,
I'm so sorry. Maybe I do chicken rice something else
exactly up a little bit and create my own I
(19:13):
can't wait. Yeah, well, you'll find some things to make
when you move out. You'll like figure out what you'll
cook together. We'll become will be, will become Chip and
Joanna and we'll also be the um mornand and Ramsey
and um Buddy came boss I loves Okay, we'll do
(19:38):
that next show. Yeah, well, thanks for asking me these questions.
I hope you guys learned more about us. Like I'm
sure they'll realize, like wow, there, they don't do that
much exciting things with their life. Let us know which

if you're more of a like you have a plan
(19:58):
