(01:08):
was just riding a fan and now she grown. Man
played me some of those great instrumental with the instruments. Man,
we're gonna get started ahead in a minute. Just having
my morning coffee. That's it. You know, it ain't time
to go to work soon as you get there. That's
the thing I wish I could smuggle you okay, oh
(01:31):
my god, smoking the chicken coop. Oh, everybody's high and
we want to be cool. Like that's the that's the
mindset you've got to be smoking with. And if you
get had enough, you're gonna be that. Anyway, I don't
know about that a few times, and it's always like
(01:52):
about yourself. That's what you're gonna have to do to
smoke about yourself. And before you start smoking, you need
to make this go through to the house and make
sure everything you get secure and be like nothing can
happened to me. I'm by myself. Then you ship there
and be like, I mean, I will not screaming after
(02:14):
day one day edibles either. Oh that's oh my god.
That's where I started sing. I ate a whole corner
of the Crunchy Brownie. I was hired for an entire weekends.
I wishing like that, I wish I could eat a
corner something be had the entire weekend. It's just like,
(02:35):
oh my god. It was just like it'started the thing
for me, and I wanted to be so that I
hadn't started the edibles anywhere because it wasn't about the weed.
It was about the snack. Like, I'm just I'm agreed,
a little nigger, me too. Taking the dessert. Anybody let
(03:01):
sugar they replace it with. It's a little bit like
grass where the chocolate eats. Yeah, you gotta get that
ship from the dispenser. That's the real edim this ship
people making. Yeah, that ship that came from the factor.
So it tastes better. Yes, it tastes like a regular
candy bar. The next thing, you know, fucking legs and ships.
(03:25):
To see that, I want to be paring noise immediately, immediately. Man, No, no,
I'm paralyzes. No, that's me. I'm telling you. It's ridiculously
well you know, yeah, yeah for everybody, it's definitely not.
(03:47):
Some people are already, you know, they got some ship
going on, and they man where they are ready. I
might be that people fight. Yeah people, oh ship, what's
been up though? Everything and nothing at the same time,
If you leave it, I don't know why. I'm like, okay,
(04:10):
you know, I'm just on the goal on the cow.
J You ain't got that soft music playing like he
wanted us to join the church. You want to do
the devotion. If there's anybody with anything on their heart
or their mind today, yeah, I feel he's just shot
(04:32):
the moon. That's it. You know, you go to the
to the wake and they'd be like it said any
remarks from the floor, keep it two minutes of list,
two minutes and they never do. Know the intro be
one minute. My name is Carlos Miller, and I go
to Second Baptistmount Missionary Church with Reverend Wistless Smith out
(04:59):
past in head worship. And you know, to be absent
in the body is to be present with the Lord. Amen. Amen.
And the last time I saw Roscoe, Yeah, that big
old smile on it, y'all know the one y'all know
(05:22):
on everybody had seen that smile. And he told me,
looked at me, said, cousin, I want you to take
me fishing. He blew my mind because we haven't been
fishing since we were little boys. We just spend our
summers down in Mississipi with my grandmother. Used to go
fishing every day. What lake? What lake? Oh? You know
(05:44):
that lake behind this Johnson's house. Everybody in here had
been in that lake, Badmon Johnson House. And every time
we get the fishing good, here she come, don't you
be fishing that? Saying all that to say this. Yeah,
already been two minutes and that's when I got the call.
(06:07):
When I got the call and they said you need
to come down here and see your cousin. I took
off work that Monday. You see the day thirds here
we are and what was wrong with him he died?
Was nothing wrong with her. He ain't die. He fell
(06:30):
off a letter that didn't kill him, do you bit
pit bull? While he was laying there? But that ain't
what killed him either. Yeah, I went down there to
the hospital for the series. The girl left the damn
scissors in his chest, but that ain't what killed him
(06:57):
because that ain't wor killed him. He wouldn't stop popping
them down, bill, but that ain't what killed me. He
popped to of them pills and tried to go jogging
passed out, but that ain't what killed him. They don't
never get to the reason. Then you know what blood
(07:17):
pressure would happened. He leaves the lot to eat them
bag itself, but that ain't what killed him. Little damn
port yea, yeah, I think that's don't killed him. Let's
fishing in her like I see. I think that ain't
what killed him because it's Joel did too. Welcome Back
(07:38):
is at five seths soon. Listen, listen this episode right here.
I don't never say this. This episode ain't for everybody.
This episode is for the goal as men. This for
a good nigger that smokes one chip black and mouth. Stop.
(08:01):
If you ever owned a purchase, a box, ship, a
Crown Vigor, Grand Marquis, anything of that nature. Four doors
to day, Lincoln Town cars and ship like that, Pontiacs
and ship. This your episode because we got a real
start here today. I'm telling you, if you've ever seen
(08:21):
the movie Players Club, then you know, yes, lord, then
you know we ain't bullshit today. No, it ain't nice
cute what you're talking about. We got the real start.
She turned this mother clucking out and she never would
have went in there and bought them shoes. Make the money,
(08:46):
don't let the money make you come in and people
tall tune that ship across the ships right now. Listen, man,
we got running from Players Club. But Chris Tunand and
then what use telling I looked you Halloween? Just yes,
and a lot of women pick to your character to
(09:07):
dress up and I wanted to sit and girls wasn't
crazy with it. She did a great job right, she
did a good job. They I mean, I'm just humbled
by it, like for real, because every Halloween is like
more and more ladies do it. So I'm like, oh, wow,
keep me alive. I love it. Right. So, like you
(09:28):
know that movie is a cult classic of most of culture.
So it's like, did you know that this character would
be way bigger than just a supporting character? No, I
had no idea. I was really nervous about even doing
the role because my mom is like seven day venus
and a teacher, so I grew up in a really
(09:49):
strict household. So when I got the role, even though
it was good and growing, I was like, I got
to just tell my mom, I'm about to go work
for Tony Tony Tony. So she had it on the
it from everybody, and then I was like, yeah, I'm
just out here. I'm just gonna be there assistant. And
she was like, Okay, why can't I ever come visit?
And I was over there in the g string on set.
(10:11):
It's like, yeah, I'm just scheduling things for them. I
think that's what made it so good. What you think, man?
But I see you're just over the shaking your head, man,
because like I want. I thought she embraced the role
so well, right my mic dunked up Joe motherfucker's man
(10:34):
that expensive ship. Yeah, she was on string. It's in
his head now he can he can't go pure straight. Okay,
we're good now, all right, moving on, Like I never
like not that I had so much little for you,
(10:55):
but like you had a lot, had a little for you.
But what I'm saying when I would see every but
then other movies just like think about the bitch Man.
I like looking at the keeping Up Ship some old
like she just got that on. So it was like
that was you. You did your things. But that made
(11:16):
me yeah, I look how you was in the movie.
And then when you wasn't in the movie, I felt
like you was at the mall or some ship, like
doing real strip of ship. I felt like you were
supposed to be in there, but you just wouldn't there. Yeah,
well you know I have real strip of friends. That's
I think That's how I did that. Was able to
embrace the role because I was the only person from
(11:38):
Atlanta that they cast, and so I was like, okay,
you know what, No, I'm about to I'm about the
represent let everybody from l A like killing and not
be the weak one. So I was like strip of
clubs like, okay, I ain't doing that ship right there.
I was talking to like just like the most gangsters
like girls in the club that was bringing other girls in, Like,
(11:58):
oh yeah, I brought her from how about this a
little bit from Alabama? Boy, don't talk to you. I
don't get her to come from Alabama. So I was like, oh,
that's off to be you what Ronnie? So I was
making sure that I like really embraced who that character
was gonna be. So when I went to California and
he was like, yeah, so up what you think, I
(12:18):
was like, oh you ask me what I think? Okay, great,
and we just kind of collaborated and came up with
what she would what she would do with you, because
in real life I looked so much likely Sorey, with
both being faier skin, both having kind of the same
kind of hair. Believe it or not, we are both
pretty much the same height. I'm not that much taller
than her, So the producers at first kind of gave him.
(12:41):
I was waiting on you just lay the same as
we got compete athletes. But but you know. So the
producers was just kind of like, no, no, you know,
we don't really think that she should be that role
because they look so much alike. How your name, Yeah,
(13:04):
I was about to get issued and you really fought
from me. He was like, no, like she's killing it. Like,
so we won't come up with something to where we're
gonna make them different enough to where it'll be you know,
people won't think like they look alike. So that's what
we came up with. A platinum blond. And if you
look at the movie, like I had on heels this
high at least three hand on like a little kitten here,
everybody thought you was like six. Yeah, I mean I'm
(13:26):
tall and I have a tall presence. You're not the
bronze shoulders and ship, so I look like a lot
taller and bigger than I really am it than people
when they're being damn my thought she was a lot
taller and bigger than that. And I'm like, yeah, no,
camera camera does and be putting a lot of ship
on you. But everybody think I'm tall as I thought
she was tall, Like, really can't be taller. In this business,
(13:51):
tall people don't do well. I'm telling you everybody who
you think tall is fucking short. It's hell. I can't
get like a lot of roles because if the leading
man is like five seven or five eight, you know
they'll be like, yeah, no, not you. You could be
Auntie or the villain. What is always fun, It's going
(14:14):
to be the villain. What was your favorite scene in
that movie? My favorite scene in the movie. But let's see,
I had a few favorite scenes, um, I think, and
it's not because of the great scene. It's not because
of that part. But the reason that was my favorite
scene is just because, um, what's his name? Damn now
(14:39):
caring even the other communies that not A J. Johnson,
but Alex. He was so silly Alex comes and I
love him so much. So he was he would just
always make different jokes. Every time I would come out
the room and I would be at the little buffet thing.
He would say something different every time, and I'm like, dude,
you're trying to break me. Because he was like, you
(15:00):
are always on point, like and I'm gonna get you.
And so that's when he's like, yeah, so somebody class
yea was and that was like not in there, and
I was like about the laugh get your ass out
of here, because you know, back then that was really popular,
especially here in Atlanta, but in the West Coast they
weren't feeling it like that. So he was like, yeah,
(15:21):
I'm about to just say something some crazy ship to you.
So that was probably my favorite scene. What's your favorite scene?
It plays clue, it probably has to be the fight.
I said, say the fight out the fight. I got
some funny ship about the fight, like the fight was
not supposed to go the way it went through. Yeah, no,
I wasn't. I supposed to go like that, like all
(15:43):
that blood and stuff it was. It was supposed to
go a different way. And we choreographed the fight like
we practice and when rehearsed and all of this stuff,
and I knew in my spirit, I said, the fight
is not gonna go like that because I know that
this motherfuckert Lisa rays about doing something to me like it,
don't give me. We're cool, We're good, you know what
I'm saying. But at that time we were both just
young and coming up, and it was just this animosity
(16:06):
that came about just because I just think, you know,
she was real. I wouldn't I wouldn't have, but you
know it's not good, but here's the thing. So we
had choreographed the whole fight and she ended up pushing
(16:30):
pushing me into a mirror and I hit my head.
That was not supposed to happen, and so the blood
came out of my mouth but it wasn't supposed to
come out. Then I was holding a pellet in my mouth.
I supposed to bustet at a certain time. But when
she did that, I was like, oh, bit like blood.
I was like, oh, that's all we doing. So I
(16:50):
got up immediately and like grabbed her and like if
you look back in the movie, and I pushed her
and then I pushed her now and he was like,
that's not that she supposed to and I was like, oh, yeah,
that's right I'm saying. I was like, okay, I'm sorry.
(17:13):
I know, so you know, it just but I think
that that's just you know, without the proper I guess training,
and I was new, she was new, and so she happens,
you know what I'm saying. And it just went down
the way and I was like, hey, I was very reactive.
(17:34):
Yeah yeah, man, So that fight was not supposed to
go like that, but it was tension built up because
the other scene when I say I run this motherfucker
and I put my finger in her face, that wasn't
like that. That wasn't written in there at all. And
what I told Cube is I was like, I don't
want her to like rehearse with me. I don't want
us to go through this thing because I want her
(17:54):
to be hell uncomfortable when I walk up on her.
So and that was that was what made it believable,
because anything we reheard it was two we hurts. She
would just be really like like, oh well, girl, don't
back up on me girl, And I was like, I
don't want that, Like I wanted to be like the hell,
so I just ran up on it. I was like
I've runned this motherfucker and put my finger in her face.
(18:15):
And she was like, oh no, all of that is real.
Is almost like oh my god, I can't believe she
put her finger in my face. So it was at
tension there and but Julie said, okay. He pulled me
to the sign after like our first few days. He said, okay,
I'm giving you Jamie at Bernie, y'all could just kind
(18:39):
of go. And I was like, but I'm not a
comedian knowing what I'm doing really and he was like, no,
just do what you what you know and what you
feel is right. Yeah, so it was good. It was good.
So that's that's the Beast story. Man. There's so many
classic Blasds in that movie. Thinking when they had dollar
Bill in the trunk and he was like, Bernie was
(19:04):
just a genius. He was a genius, but he was
just also like a brilliant, brilliant Yeah, it was. It
was a good fun Murphy. Yeah, like a lot of
people didn't know Charlie Burpy, you know, just good people.
Oh my god, like Terrence Howard was on in it
(19:25):
and um a face on you know. So yeah, it was.
It was really a lot of and so many people
that we've lost tiny you know, a J. J. Clark,
get that, Michael Clark, Duncan Man and oh man, I'm
just thinking about that. Yeah, and all those guys were
(19:46):
like so incredibly talented and just really really kind. Like
it was like a good asset, you know what I'm saying.
It wasn't stressful, So I'm thankful for that. Luke didn't
turn to set out. Luke was look was a fucking gentleman.
But that's the thing need the nicest do. But it's
like if he walked in the room, people just started fucking. Yeah. No,
(20:10):
women just started sucking the start eating man. When Luke
I'm hosted the strip Man. One night, Luke came from
Man and Man and tend to had the tennies out
serving everything champybody. He just lay back. He was chilling.
He didn't even tell him man, yeah, that's what he said.
(20:33):
He said, if you look at I'd never take my
clothes off. He said, I'd never take one thing off.
It's just people around me doesn't start. And I was like, damn.
He asked him to do a video after Players Club
that here Lizard Lizard. He had a group y'all probably
like what the fun is that on? But but so
I went to go through the video and it was true.
Like all the girls was like, well it's a Luke,
(20:54):
it's a lottle fun look. I was like, okay, well
you're fun. I'm over here trying to learn to dive
off this cliff. The man is a legend. Yeah, yeah,
he's good people too, definitely good people. I did a
lot of videos and there was always a house of
trying to get my money. Always a house of trying
to get my money. And she's changed videos. But but
(21:21):
Luke was one of the first people, Like, as soon
as I did that, he was like, Yo, here's make
sure she get paid. Here's your money. I'm like, damn
my gosh, but I mean, I know I don't do
like that, but he was like, Yo, You're gonna get
your money. And just since the set, it's the etiquette
on the set was super respectable and it was just
you know, he's he's good people. Yeah. Amen, So could
(21:42):
I ask you one question? Who was supposed to happen
that Junior's bachelor party, Like like, what's what? What was
what was your gold? They were just really coming there today.
You know that's at you don't win the fun at
(22:04):
ship when the white girl Vanilla then show up Vanilla
and that bit me everywhere. Yeah, yeah, she goes every day.
Everybody but dog Caffeine. Shout out to Caffeine, who played
my brother. Uh he's turned. He played evil and everyone
(22:27):
nobody looked at him the same thing because you remember, uh, well,
what's the name came first? Don't be a menace? You
remember a minutes to society, I made men society part
of me, sir so. But he had been been a
villain that I can't specifically name it, but this name
have been about a hundred shows and TV shows and
(22:50):
he always the mean nigger. But Kane was going to
get his life and ordered what he gonna do? Shoot
a blocker. Yeah, well he kind of got emminent on truck.
Look at it. You get you sucked up, bro, They're
gonna She stopped dancing. She stopped all that, like she realized. Yeah,
(23:11):
she realized the conings, the real that's she was out there. Yeah,
she got together. But that wig they gave birth the
end is not right. I think that's lappen. She showed
up in that week. That's when it went. Laugh. That
(23:31):
was no. But man, you you really had a classic role.
We gotta show you much love, especially being you know,
we didn't had this reminisce and then talking about our
favorite positive on some serious ship. You know, it's black entertainers.
We don't get a lot of opportunities like that, and
you know, to have something that's gonna be memorable and
(23:53):
that's gonna last. Yeah, I mean I'm surprised. I like
it's almost like um Pam pam him. Uh you know
what I'm saying, it's almost like that. That's what I
feel like, Wow, okay, and my dad no idea it
was that it would be that, you know. But I'm happy,
you know, I'm happy. I'm honored. As I said, damn
if I don't never do anything else, but God would
(24:14):
be a didappen. But I'm just saying about anything else
that I had the opportunity to do something like that,
we don't got to do. You know, for a long time.
People are gonna keep watching that ship. We're gonna write something.
Then yeah, let's do it. Let's get it. You gotta
be a party, Ronnie's even so you had auditions here
for it or they Okay, okay, now, who remembers the
(24:37):
Catfish Station? Remember the Cafefe Station in Atlanta. So there
was this restaurant down on Ponds called the Catfish Station,
and so I remember forty had a listening party and
Q was there. But see, I wanted to be a rapper,
(24:58):
and so I was like, Okay, I'm gonna get my
tape the Cube because that's when they still head tapes.
So I see him at the fourties and I'm like,
oh yeah, I was like, Yo, can't you remember member me.
I used to open concerts and stuff for n A
because I used to live in California. And he was like, yeah,
you look familiar. I said, I'm still wrapping. I cannot
get with you to get you my my my tape.
And he was like you know what. He was like,
(25:19):
you live here in the land. I was like yeah.
He said, you know, I'm about to do a movie here.
And I said, okay, I'm thinking I don't care to
tap and he's like, yeah, I'm about do a movie here,
so maybe you can give me your music and maybe
I could put some you know whatever. And I was
like okay. So he was like, will change numbers, but
crowd whatever. Never bumped into each other again. So a
(25:42):
few months later, I in the radio. I was like, yeah,
I ex Cube coming to town. He's having auditions for
this movie. They're gonna be at the Cafish station and
I was like, oh my god, that's the movie he
was talking about. I'm about to take my tape up
there and he's gonna listen to and that what's gonna be.
So I'm at work and so I'm I'm working at
(26:05):
the law firm ant you because my mother wanted me
to be a lawyer. Yeah, it gets better. So my
mom wanted me to really be a lawyer. So I'm
at the slow firm and I'm like, okay, damn, if
they're gonna they're gonna let me go so i can
go to the cafe station and take cut my tape.
So I'm like, How'm I going to tell them? And
so I was like, listen, you guys, I really want
to do this. So I was like, okay, go ahead,
(26:26):
you can go on your lunch breaks. So I get
there and it's a line around on the corner, wrapped
around the building, and I'm like, damn, I'm not gonna
make it back from the lunch break. So I'm like
and then to no cell phones. I'm like, how I'm
a calling them and tell them I can't come back.
So I get in there and they were like, yeah,
you're here for the all this year and greet these
sides and this and that. So they give me these
(26:46):
sides for diamond. I'm like, okay, I'm looking at it
and I'm like, oh, I'm just learning this real quick.
So I can get up there and I'm still thinking
about my tape and now my job. So hours passed.
I'm like, canna probably fly year. Then they called me
up there and go up there and they're like, okay,
so you're ready. There's like what side said give me?
I said, they gave me the size for Diamond. They're like, yeah,
(27:08):
we've seen too many diamonds today. Go back downstairs and
I asked them, I thank you, give you the size
for Ronnie or somebody else and I'm like, kidding me.
I'm reading Diamond, just give me my tape. Then ice
Cube wasn't up there, and I'm like, what's really going on?
A song? Like downstairs? Asked for the size for Ronnie
and they're like on the description says Ronnie six foot tall,
(27:29):
brown skin with corn rows, muscular bill. I said, this
is the set me up for failure. I was like, okay,
if I'm learning this real quick, just so I'll go
back and there and talk to them. Boy my tape.
So go back up there and like you're ready and
I'm like yeah. So I started reading the the size,
which is the part with Ebony in the car with
Ebony and I'm like, yeah, so what's up you trying
(27:50):
to get this money? Away and in the middle of it,
I just said I'm about to bust out into a
wrap and I was like, hold up, hold up, it's
a song right here now acts like I was turning
up the ready or not, just like yeah, and I
was like yeah. So anyway, you're trying to get this
monking and I was like, hey, can you do that again?
It was I was like, yeah, there's execute. Well, he
(28:15):
won't be here, but if you come back tomorrow and
just do the same thing tomorrow and then we'll send
his tape, you send your tape to him. So I
was like okay. So I went back to my job
and I was like, I'm so sorry and I was like, well, yeah,
it's okay, and I said, now I gotta go back tomorrow.
They were like okay, and I was like, So I
(28:39):
went back the next day. Cube still wasn't there. I
did another audition. They was like, okay, you were great,
and we'll give you a call. And then months later
I get a call at my other job because I
end up getting fired. So I was now at another
like another art gallery. But luckily a girl at the
(29:00):
other job knew my number and gave whoever was calling
I end up answering like receptions to the answer phone
said oh yeah, ice Cube was on the phone for you,
and I'm like, girl, whatever, Because it's three months later
and I've been up some I'm like hello, He's like, yo,
what's up this Cube? And I was like what Because
I didn't really nikles in. I thought I was a
little joke. I thought on somebody playing with me and
(29:21):
knew that I wanted all this because I was telling
the right Yeah, it's this audition, gona my tape a
cube and then and then so I got tired of
telling that story and I've never been contacted my cube.
So I was like whatever, it's a lot. So then
the girl came. She was like yeah, the same person
is back on the phone and he was like you
hung up and I was like okay, and I was
like hello. He was like yo, this is really cute.
Like no, I was like oh hey, hello hello. He's
(29:43):
like yeah, yeah, I saw your audition enough and you
did a great job. And I'm like oh sho. He's
like yeah, so yeah that's what happened. He was like,
come to l A, I'll did it again. And so
then you know, but they didn't fly me out there,
had to fly myself out there to let people show.
Then I really did have to start stripping to get
the money to get out there. Amateur night. We need
(30:10):
your little song ship won't Why do you say no need?
Like this is a whole little the rest, Chris, stop
the story. Yeah, it ain't too much. You did us
(30:33):
with a little ramples. It's too much around the movie.
Did you ever get us altogether? For ends? I can't
get right up and that. Okay, he had a part
with old schools. Okay, I can tell pe and I
(30:55):
can tell me not look let me that. It doesn't
have a flashback. Dollar Bill had to let me go.
(31:17):
Did did you even get the music to cue? I
never got the whole movie. I've never got my music
to cue. Because what ended up happening was when I
tried to talk to him about it the game, I
was like, yeah, but you're gonna be act. I don't
tell you that it's gonna take off of you. I
don't want to even talk about that. Like he just
kind of like, Ye're not that, and so he's like
(31:39):
solidified my life. I guess shut out. I was gonna
be the person Kim before a little Kim the raunchiest raps.
We gotta hear that. I know she got one of
the motherfucking let I doad. I actually have a video.
(32:01):
Then my mother is very ashamed of it. It's on it.
Let me do what you know, your ship, You're gonna
put it on. You're gonna turn the TV. Yeah, what
(32:24):
they're talking about ships? Yes, so yeah, that was that
in the movie. Yeah. They told me I was just
gonna go to the club and I could just waitress
and make the same money as a strippers. But they lied.
That didn't work. I said, I got to something else.
(32:46):
If I will get to l a, this is not
the way to deal in like two, I would have
never been in never movie, never been right that. I
got that too late. I couldn't, but I can't say that.
I was like, I'm not about to tell him I
can't get there. He's like, can you be here in
(33:07):
two weeks? I was like, too weird and ship, they
can't get you that. It's the same thing. Key, Look,
I could get out there. Y'all got to see me back. Yeah,
somebody take me home. Yeah. Yeah, But I had another
good friend, good just a good friend who did look
out who was like, look, I'll fund you the money
to get out here, and I'll give you a place
(33:29):
to stay. And Rafaela Rafiel is like my brother. Y'all.
The thing about it is like when you're good friends
with people, it's weird because it's like you don't never
want to ask them to like really put you on
(33:53):
reason about like running, Look about now that thinking like
this with Eddie Murphys, ain't mentioned me. Okay, everywhere I go,
I'll be telling them about my ugly party. I'm talking
about whether they got juice or not. Age that no more.
(34:17):
That's how we are. That's why. That's why it really
introduced you to him. I can't tell you that your name,
I don't know if you want to know, it's him.
I'm to put him on anything. He got ship coming
from me, all I know. And they have been in
(34:38):
too movie. I ain't gonna say no way, come on.
And then people just been sending me clips all the episode.
He'd been on Wave like him, which he'd be sitting
there like this. It's a bunch of them. I'm in
here recording some some ants the other night. One of
the pictures that random to jump off the wall. I'm
(35:00):
like what the look back then his are God assure
you who he cut off? Look at his pinch over
the floor, all the other princh that my fucker dropped
on the wall. I don't know, like cree nail my ship. No, no,
ain't nothing else failed, nothing else called but that little back.
(35:23):
And I guess he's just a sign of what's gonna come.
I just started the ship, started the shot before. Then
you're gonna give me the same reputation as about started
everywhere now it was started anyway. I was just kicking
(35:45):
because you here, I'm working with you him. It's real
touch and go man. Sometimes because I'd be like, you know,
I mean I know that this shn't go then I
and then he'd be laughing too hard. You get what
I'm saying. I'm like, hello, you laughing at me, That's
what I'm saying. Be alone Land Like yeah, he leans
(36:11):
back with you. You know that. Don't sit up. I'm
trying to part the blocking me. Yeah, I'm like, is
this you had to calls him? Bro? So when when
I had the premiere, I'm talking about some positive here
(36:37):
we go, Okay. The premier was in l A. Yeah,
and my mother came. She say that was the first time. No, no,
so I did eventually once I saw that that, everybody
else set was like really cool and behaved and everything
and you know, um he had the fruits of agelum
(36:57):
like us uh security and all of that because up.
So I was like, okay, I'm gonna invite my mom.
Finally it wasn't there about a month already, and I
was like, so, do you want to come to l
A and con visit to me? And so she came
and I was like, so, I gotta tell you something.
I'm playing and I'm in a movie. So she was like, oh,
that's great, I said, And I'm a stripper and it
lest me and she was like okay, okay, let see,
(37:20):
I said, but it's really a good set. And so
she came and she met ice Cube and she met
and he was of course very kind. So she was
relaxed after that. She was cool. Yeah, she was good
after that. So when she came to the premiere and
actually saw it, she was just like, you did a
great job. So yeah, she relaxed after that. Nobody to
tell you if you like, yeah, yeah, so it was good.
(37:42):
I don't even know if I saw it because I
was like this whole time, I was a nervous I
was like, oh my god, I was my mom's Yeah,
at the premiere it was like a blur to me.
That was a whole just lur damn. And then in
this entire like twenty some of my years, I've probably
seen the movie three times what one night. Yeah, it's
(38:05):
hard to watch yourself. It's really difficult, a difficult thing
to vote for me. Yeah, you're probably liking how we
like it. Yeah, you know you're gonna be like, oh man,
look at that. You know, it's just that thing that
they used to you want to watch the dailies. And
I was like no, because until this day, when I
do something they say do you want to watch the dailies,
I don't want to see the dailies because if you
(38:26):
watch the dailies for me, I don't want to see
stuffing like, oh my damn, I didn't do that, right,
I gonna change that. And you're trying to change something
to me, And wait then you're really looking crazy because
like the first half of it, you was like this,
a second half of it, you know, I don't want
to see the dailies. Whatever it is is what it
is whatever. So yeah that Oh, I do remember one
thing about the movie though. So Q was like, okay,
(38:48):
so I'm gonna send you to Disappointment. You gotta go
to disappointment or whatever, and I'm like an appointment. He
was like, yes to the place called pink Cheeks. And
I was like, okay, so what what am I having done?
And he was like yes, they're gonna wax you. And
I'm like what, Like what do you think? You gotta
think my witness one though this was years ago when
it was like and I was like, not wax savvy
(39:11):
sill and he's like, yeah, like they're doing they're going
to waxtally because like he was like, I'm telling you
on camera, on film, like everything is amplified, so if
you Harry, it's gonna be like you Harry. And I
was like okay, but I didn't know how like they were,
how deep they were gonna go with the waxing. Yeah,
(39:33):
so that was an interesting thing that happened. So ice
Cube invented women getting their culture wax. The moment we
got shut up no, but I was yeah, it was
(39:55):
just it was painful, but I guess it was regret
painful for the worth it because I didn't want to
be amified with Harry asked or whatever else. So yeah,
so yeah, that would have made a whole different movie,
a very different movie. Would have been watching it like
this ship really really, this is really that was already went.
(40:24):
She liked that. That's got to be on the side.
Let up. Yeah, so I was like, Okay, that's what
we're doing here, got it, got it, got classic ship man.
(40:44):
We only hang out with big stars over here on
the eight South. Sometimes we hain't man. So now in
the future, got the same name, however, you pronounced that? Okay?
Nevadius his name Navid, his name Novartis? Really tell me
(41:08):
it's Novartis. He don't never tell nobodut the hope? What's
the what's nap short for? You? See how mess it up?
On purpose? I can tell your great give him the
VARs what I'm saying. I thought it was gonna smooth?
(41:29):
No me, what made you think that? I know? I
got friends and moves stuck to me and they don't
know you. So I guess we've he called this him
doing comedy? Never man, no man? See how that's how
(41:56):
good of a friend name? I ain't never gonna cut
him up, but I'm gonna remind him that we could
have all been in a better position. Said one day.
I'm sure they was talking on setting and he was like, so,
now who do you think funny? Who you're kicking with?
Who in your crew? He probably was, just like I
do most of my ship by myself. God know how
(42:17):
you I really put myself over here since I want
MTV yo long. I just felt like I would be along.
You know what I'm saying. I ain't never go through
that struggle like that. Yeah, I'm glad you don't know him,
(42:40):
like I know. That's like get you that. That's how
I get you, That's how you get you got that? Yeah, yeah,
he probably got a little taping something he gonna try
to get you. For you. You gotta a real hettle clips,
(43:04):
little cameos, and I do. Really, he just don't fall
he've been I had no eighty fast septual clips on them.
See the ship after you. You ain't clear a motherfucking thing,
this ship like the NBA. You can't even have this
ship without the express written consent. Yeah he did, for real,
(43:35):
he sho Okay, I think he's gonna I think he
got a plane business. Okay, though it's a great plan,
it's something good, it's not the great. Yeah, I've seen
him on the road with some more people. Everything you
mentioned that cry and that's how longly cutting me off.
(43:59):
He don't never tell side And now that's time to
squash you said, Hey, Loads, I hope you're having a
good day. Hey red captain. I'm on the only Instagram
picture captain, and heat up the whole compunity. It gives
(44:20):
me no give with some of pag make a little
coming and somebody comes. Don't get tailor any about carl ship.
He's real talking. Somebody paid, they had lots, somebody I
(44:41):
don't like. I'm praying for you. You should win. Praying
for Loads. I'm taking. Yes, the people follow him. Let's
the long high they you need. Debating the ship on placebook.
I made him and lows and let that go. I
(45:03):
jumped right under another. We ain't. I don't forgive nothing
to you. Didn't wrong, and I'm gonna keep bringing it up,
keep bringing it out. Whatever. We're gonna be sitting in
the sitting at the bottom shop arguing about this ship.
We tell friends we're taking this on to the he
(45:24):
said seventy that man, he gonna have it. I feel
like one night he's gonna be on their liquor and
he gonna we have cool cool that let him go him.
He ain't talking to me holding and let him go.
(45:50):
Ain't nothing like the old black man argument boy especial
when they're about to fight. It's my house and to
show that, what's all the time? You So I was
born here in Atlanta, but I was raised in California,
and I came back here in ninety three. You already grown? Yeah? Yeah,
(46:12):
you didn't go to high school and no, no, I
went to high school here one year, but I went
to a school that nobody heard of. It's called Woodland
Woodland High School albout Greenbrier. And as I'm saying nobody,
everybody's like where what I don't know that school? I
must not have. All I know is like I think
our competition was like Southwest Is that a school? Yeah,
(46:37):
like somebody like, I don't know. It was one It
was like nine months I went to the school whatever.
Then that was it. Yeah, one year. Then I went
back to California. My mom was like, no, come back,
and so yeah, then I came back in ninety three
and been here since then. Yeah. Also after the movie
you came back. No, I was here before the movie. Yeah,
(46:58):
I'm saying after you went out there shoot the movie. Yeah, yeah, yeah,
get caught open. Well I was bicoastal for a while.
Well I could afford it, but then I had to
come back and strip somewhere to get my money back up.
Just kidding. Ship stripping the ninety three Atlanta was so properably.
(47:18):
Some of them women don't even work to this name. Okay, okay,
look Strawberry White talking when I danced. Oh gosh, what
was my name? Sparkle probably had a few of them.
I did have a feel Sparkle was one of the
most stripples got like a real name, that's a fake name,
a stage name, alternate name, and the name she used
(47:43):
to strip under in her whole city. You got. You
gotta have a few different identities. So I wasn't a
real stripper them because I had, like my name it
just that name, just want No. I didn't do it
long enough either, I think you know. I was like,
I was like, that was like our part time job,
because I would still be working at the law firm,
(48:05):
working at the Strip club in the evening because I
was like, I'm about to buy a house. No, I
hadn't work during the day, so I was a night shift.
And I remember I boted into one of my like
co workers the club and I was like, Joe, don't
you stay up. It's different. He's the patron like but
(48:28):
he was like, I donnna say that. I'm gonna just
come back when you work again. After you're gonna get
some change. Joe to do the point when he let
me say this as if my ship I should have
(48:50):
been take that. How do you want to I was
not one of the like dedicated dances. I got to
keep in mind, this is at the height of it.
A strip N three is the Golden Are. Michael Jordan
was in the club then, and I should have been
on the shift three. Dominique Wilkins might pull up Kim,
(49:13):
theyre sh you met this nigga? Lit up Tupac? What
did you dance too? For Tupac? What moves treating? And
then I worked at the club called as the Pearls.
(49:34):
I looked at a waitress, what they're smoking good weeds?
What you asked? You didn't brought it up? Did you say,
who was smoking good weed? And ninety three Snoop. Snoop
had a good weed and ninety three, So in ninety
(49:59):
three Snoop and Dre there was and everybody else walking bullshit,
you're asking me. I'm not a smelling but yeah, I
can smell it. And then you know, I can see
the difference in highs the people that was high feeling
great people, those eyes like damn, I don't know how difference. Damn,
(50:21):
that's that's a long time to be like holding on
just some good weed years. Yeah, yeah, back consistent plug
for thirty years. Yeah, you gotta really keep your ear
to the street. Imagine you trying to get him some
(50:43):
bad problem. You got to think about it. This Snoop
So I think people win good weed. Look for him. Yeah,
I can't give him we I don't give an how
good weed. If Snoop is around, I'm never pulling my
weed up. I know I would never what I looked like,
showing up with some weed to smoke with Snoop. No,
(51:10):
show up what you got, big home, man, I don't
wood it is sell me some of yours. I know
your ship better than man, even if it's the miss
weed in the world Snoop got some ship that they've
just been is working on. He's gonna tell you out
some of that, do it fluid? I got some of that, dude, fluid. Yeah,
(51:37):
just like that. But I don't know pot smoke weed.
I never saw him smoke, but he would drink. He
smoked a lot of weed, smoke cigarettes. I know that.
Yeah he was a smoker. Okay, Yeah, saw the cigarettes
and drink it, but I never see he liked weed
a lot. That's cold. And bowling. He liked the ball.
Nobody knew that. That's a random tweet, too fun fact
(52:01):
for your head. Got hell got his own bowler shoes that,
But he liked the ball. Yeah, like one of his
little things he liked to do. You never talked about it.
Molding three niggers with me now, the roll and strike, Yeah,
(52:28):
he was in the whole slight, funny and too bad.
Nobody too bad? You tell it's all good. Now I'm
really about to just you know what, you know what,
(52:51):
She's gonna be in the country with the rest of
the low man. She came to see me a cats man.
She fucking with y'all. Man. Yeah, yeah, you're talking about
I see how it is, bro, I see how it is,
and then y'all get on and just just forget who
your real friends. And they ain't. You didn't any because
(53:15):
you wanted me. It's because they yeah when yeah, yeah,
your back on me and try to come back. What
should you len? Because I don't never want this to comment.
I know what God do to people who try to
fund it. It's not up to me to fund of you.
(53:38):
That's the word. Now. All I try to do is
bring you around some real love, so you know what
they feels like. U so tell us when you were
on the bopset. I don't think about my fast whatever. Man,
we're proud of that nig He's proud of him. Man,
(54:02):
he does he doing a thing, you know. But you know,
I don't never want him to get ahead of himself.
I don't care how successful he gets. I still want
him to live with the guilt. Yeah that's enough payback
for me. They just they just sold out in greens
(54:22):
Bro twelve thousand five people. Yeah, I saw that. Guess
who we let go up before we got out there.
Yeah yeah, he shot this old little third of minutes.
But they couldn't get that back. I never making nothing
(54:49):
ain't named short for so when does your special come out?
And ain't camber? Well, I don't kill the banny for
we get up see him card for what we've got
(55:10):
twenty minutes and now leave all that ship you have
no foe, I said, like how you said about the day,
let me see the day's carted off cat introducing them.
I make sure that record this ship. I make the
cameraman coming there and record me walking to the stage.
(55:34):
Another equipment on this nig and n nothing. I didn't
want to record it. You see the phone down. He
had already said a little deal with somebody else recording
this question. Yeah, they're gonna put it on their YouTube
(55:55):
channel for Yeah, he just said all the rights of way,
I trying to bound back, but he is saying for
about seventified hundred US front wadn't okay? All right? The
(56:20):
only middle name I ain't even want to read all
this ship her team page. They gave him a one
idea he go get hand half of the seified. So
after the move head drop what you're like full full
(56:41):
of problem with his act? No, she went back to
rapping and stripping. That's what she trying to get your
type of No, that's when she made the video on
the tape that we should the NF team. You probably
get no, honestly, one of ye. Then somebody who had
(57:02):
the transposed from from that from VHS to yeah yeah,
pump it up, Crystal cut. But what did the tape
come on and ship wanted Jake Steve pardis the rapping
nigger Jake Steve. Everybody, everybody who watched this ship you
(57:28):
know who Jake Steve is? All how you like old Jake?
Jake was a fool man. Then they had a bunch
of point on moves and he used to wrap. They
used to drop videos in between the scene here, legend
in the hood, alright, Freaks, holes and floes. He had
(57:51):
a lot of movies and they had crazy titles to
be like Merry Christmas, bitch, and then he had like
it was string a little more day dolder Mike, Yeah
that it was hardcore. That was hardcore. Yeah yeah, Booty
talking ship. It's an error speaking to my constituent act. Yeah,
(58:12):
what you've been working on recently, man, and working these
people catch up with you and follow you and find
you because everybody's been looking for their favorite Players club
movie character. Yes, I'm telling you that just still like
I said, it blows my mind. But um, so I
do still act, and um I'm doing right now streaming
(58:33):
on BT Plus is all the Queen's Men with even
Marcelle and I played. So it's like a male players club.
It's about a male strip club. And she is the
kind of like the Madam per Se of the strip club.
Eva is and not like I said, I played her sister.
And it's but no, no, let me say this. It's
(58:56):
it's really a good show. It's a really good show. Um.
And I was nervous going into it and doing it
because you know, I hadn't worked with any of those
people before, and um, it just was a lot of dynamics.
It was doing quarantine. I had to quarantine the Tyler
Perry studios the whole entire time, and so it just
you don't have an opportunity to really interact with people.
(59:17):
And we shot it quick, but it came out. It
came out really well. So um and I'm sure we're
gonna be get a season two, so you have to
look for that. If I don't see, you thought I
got good show with women. Yeah, but no, even and
even dynamite in as well. So and it's interesting. Our
our dynamic is really interesting. It's like it is like
(59:38):
some diamond Rannie type of thing. But we're sisters. So
and it's a male script. It's a male strip club,
but it's not it's not focused on that. I will
say that. So it is it is I can be
in there for the men, so I don't don't be
scared for the men. It's like because it's beautiful women
in it. You know, it's it's not no, you need
(01:00:00):
to break them sentences. Never be very clear me. I'm
gonna say some crazy no no, no no, not that
kind of candy all for the men. That is for
the women and the men who liked that. But but
(01:00:23):
it's it's you know, it's more to the story than
just this male strip club. I don't say that that's
really good out of me and all that, and just
fast forward past those parts because you know, I'm just
let them held in man. Like you said, everything ain't
for everybody. Everybody. People enjoy the show, yea, but yeah
when they want appreciate it. So yeah, So that and
(01:00:50):
then there's a lot of behind the scenes work that,
like I said, I've been doing that since before Players Club,
though a lot of people don't know that. So right now, um,
I'm working on on Atlanta and cool, and I didn't
know from the ship really from Atlanta and I love.
(01:01:13):
I have a love, just a straight up love for
the city. Like that's another reason why I never just
totally went to l A or any other place, because
even with Players Club, if you think about it, during
that time, I was probably one of the first black
actresses to do something in major and feel like that
besides Jasmine Guy. Jasmine Guy did, I think she did
Harlem Nights right before that, So, but just to take
(01:01:35):
that chance, and I was like, I gotta rep for
the city, like I can't just be a So so
I'm glad it came out well. And you know that
I was able to do that so and do it
from being right here. Yeah, So that's that. Well there
you haven't folks. Another one in the books, the legendary
(01:01:55):
I meant to bring off copy books. I thought I
had a copy of my book called Sexy Piece, and
so it's this book that I wrote and because I
love to cook and and so it's like erotic stories
and recipes and so my asses on the coverlet bring
you back a copy of y'all have to bring you
(01:02:16):
guys back up. I was like, oh, well, what's one
of the recipes in there? So one of the recipes
is fruit pizza and um. And so while I'll do
is I break down this recipe like how you make
a fruit pizza and then I'll say, what the what
the recipe reminds me of it? So that recipe reminds
me of when I lost my virginity. And then I
tell the story about how I lost my riginity. That
have another recipe in there? Can I read the student
(01:02:45):
in the world, tell your love from Regina? And what
fruit pizza? And there's and there's there are pictures in there.
There are pictures in there. Before I leave the ball,
I'm so mad at myself because here's the thing. That's
how I tested that if the book. I'm I'm so
(01:03:09):
mad because I had a book and this is this
is what happens to me work. Like I said, I came,
I came here straight from work, right, So I leave work.
When I leave for work, it's dark, and when I
got home it's dark. That's what it is. By working
behind the scenes of production. So I was like, Okay,
I got this, I got this, I got this, I
got what I'm changing too, or I would have came
(01:03:29):
here in the Dickey suit because that's like what I
always wear the work like Cleo. Yeah. So so I'm like,
I can't wear Dicky because it didn't be like, hey,
I don't anything. I forgot my damn books. I know
that right there on the table, and I was like,
but I came. I was like, where my book? Damn
I forgot the books. I'm mad about the book. I'm
(01:03:50):
gonna bring the books. Okay. I I dropped off. So
then you know it had me back, like you know,
after the season two of All the Queen's Mean or
something like that, and then we'll talk that we can
talk about books. But how I tested the book out
and I said, I'm gonna give it to a basketball player.
I'm gonna give it to a housewife and if they
both read it, then I know. Then said, so they're
(01:04:10):
gonna got to the book. Where is it available? Amazon
can get off Amazon, Barnes, and Noble dot com. So
it's online. Yet we'll send to Lincoln. We'll posted people
can know exactly how to get fruit. Another man is
a ritzy and so um. And so it's a ritz
(01:04:33):
cracker and this cream cheese with caviar and tomato and olive.
And I know it sounds crazy, but this rich guy
taught me how to make it. And like, if you're
drinking or you're getting sucked up and you make this
and just take it by that, it's so damn good.
It's like amazing. So then my story about it, it's
like I talked about how like you could be attracted
to somebody not just because of their money or how
(01:04:56):
they look with it, because they're charming. And I call
it like the ritzy because he us rich and taught
me how to make it. But so it's like all
these stories and then it says how I met this
dude and how I you know, how I interact with him,
and you know, it's very interesting. Really, it ain't no
meal caught mine. Okay, what else you wanna know about?
I have a potato salad. It's called the Trusted Potato Salad.

in there, because the recipe is in there really honestly
remind me of something sexual that I did or I experienced,
and so it's like, I don't know, oh little state,
and so you know, I remember when this nigga was
like busting me out, break up some French. Right, So
(01:06:10):
you get some recipes in there, you know, you just
have to. You gotta get the floor. But they don't
do us a cook book and the recipes are tried
and true and they're really good. These broke as burgers
