she was like, Okay, why can't I ever come visit?
And I was over there in the g string on set.

because like I want. I thought she embraced the role

like girls in the club that was bringing other girls in, Like,

don't get her to come from Alabama. So I was like, oh,

making sure that I like really embraced who that character
was gonna be. So when I went to California and

and we just kind of collaborated and came up with
what she would what she would do with you, because
in real life I looked so much likely Sorey, with
both being faier skin, both having kind of the same
kind of hair. Believe it or not, we are both
pretty much the same height. I'm not that much taller
than her, So the producers at first kind of gave him.

I was waiting on you just lay the same as
we got compete athletes. But but you know. So the
producers was just kind of like, no, no, you know,
we don't really think that she should be that role
because they look so much alike. How your name, Yeah,

I was about to get issued and you really fought
from me. He was like, no, like she's killing it. Like,
so we won't come up with something to where we're
gonna make them different enough to where it'll be you know,
people won't think like they look alike. So that's what
we came up with. A platinum blond. And if you
look at the movie, like I had on heels this
high at least three hand on like a little kitten here,
everybody thought you was like six. Yeah, I mean I'm

tall and I have a tall presence. You're not the
bronze shoulders and ship, so I look like a lot
taller and bigger than I really am it than people
when they're being damn my thought she was a lot
taller and bigger than that. And I'm like, yeah, no,
camera camera does and be putting a lot of ship
on you. But everybody think I'm tall as I thought
she was tall, Like, really can't be taller. In this business,

tall people don't do well. I'm telling you everybody who
you think tall is fucking short. It's hell. I can't
get like a lot of roles because if the leading
man is like five seven or five eight, you know
they'll be like, yeah, no, not you. You could be
Auntie or the villain. What is always fun, It's going

to be the villain. What was your favorite scene in
that movie? My favorite scene in the movie. But let's see,
I had a few favorite scenes, um, I think, and
it's not because of the great scene. It's not because
of that part. But the reason that was my favorite
scene is just because, um, what's his name? Damn now

caring even the other communies that not A J. Johnson,
but Alex. He was so silly Alex comes and I
love him so much. So he was he would just
always make different jokes. Every time I would come out
the room and I would be at the little buffet thing.
He would say something different every time, and I'm like, dude,

And so that's when he's like, yeah, so somebody class
yea was and that was like not in there, and
I was like about the laugh get your ass out
of here, because you know, back then that was really popular,
especially here in Atlanta, but in the West Coast they
weren't feeling it like that. So he was like, yeah,

So that was probably my favorite scene. What's your favorite scene?

some funny ship about the fight, like the fight was

that blood and stuff it was. It was supposed to
go a different way. And we choreographed the fight like
we practice and when rehearsed and all of this stuff,
and I knew in my spirit, I said, the fight
is not gonna go like that because I know that
this motherfuckert Lisa rays about doing something to me like it,
don't give me. We're cool, We're good, you know what
I'm saying. But at that time we were both just
young and coming up, and it was just this animosity

that came about just because I just think, you know,
she was real. I wouldn't I wouldn't have, but you
know it's not good, but here's the thing. So we
had choreographed the whole fight and she ended up pushing

pushing me into a mirror and I hit my head.
That was not supposed to happen, and so the blood
came out of my mouth but it wasn't supposed to
come out. Then I was holding a pellet in my mouth.
I supposed to bustet at a certain time. But when
she did that, I was like, oh, bit like blood.
I was like, oh, that's all we doing. So I

got up immediately and like grabbed her and like if
you look back in the movie, and I pushed her
and then I pushed her now and he was like,
that's not that she supposed to and I was like, oh, yeah,
that's right I'm saying. I was like, okay, I'm sorry.

I know, so you know, it just but I think
that that's just you know, without the proper I guess training,
and I was new, she was new, and so she happens,
you know what I'm saying. And it just went down
the way and I was like, hey, I was very reactive.

Yeah yeah, man, So that fight was not supposed to
go like that, but it was tension built up because
the other scene when I say I run this motherfucker
and I put my finger in her face, that wasn't
like that. That wasn't written in there at all. And
what I told Cube is I was like, I don't
want her to like rehearse with me. I don't want
us to go through this thing because I want her

to be hell uncomfortable when I walk up on her.
So and that was that was what made it believable,
because anything we reheard it was two we hurts. She
would just be really like like, oh well, girl, don't
back up on me girl, And I was like, I
don't want that, Like I wanted to be like the hell,
so I just ran up on it. I was like
I've runned this motherfucker and put my finger in her face.

And she was like, oh no, all of that is real.

tension there and but Julie said, okay. He pulled me

tape the Cube because that's when they still head tapes.
So I see him at the fourties and I'm like,

I used to open concerts and stuff for n A
because I used to live in California. And he was like, yeah,
you look familiar. I said, I'm still wrapping. I cannot
get with you to get you my my my tape.
And he was like you know what. He was like,

He said, you know, I'm about to do a movie here.
And I said, okay, I'm thinking I don't care to
tap and he's like, yeah, I'm about do a movie here,
so maybe you can give me your music and maybe

crowd whatever. Never bumped into each other again. So a

few months later, I in the radio. I was like, yeah,
I ex Cube coming to town. He's having auditions for
this movie. They're gonna be at the Cafish station and
I was like, oh my god, that's the movie he
was talking about. I'm about to take my tape up
there and he's gonna listen to and that what's gonna be.
So I'm at work and so I'm I'm working at

the law firm ant you because my mother wanted me
to be a lawyer. Yeah, it gets better. So my
mom wanted me to really be a lawyer. So I'm
at the slow firm and I'm like, okay, damn, if
they're gonna they're gonna let me go so i can
go to the cafe station and take cut my tape.
So I'm like, How'm I going to tell them? And
so I was like, listen, you guys, I really want
to do this. So I was like, okay, go ahead,

you can go on your lunch breaks. So I get
there and it's a line around on the corner, wrapped
around the building, and I'm like, damn, I'm not gonna
make it back from the lunch break. So I'm like
and then to no cell phones. I'm like, how I'm
a calling them and tell them I can't come back.
So I get in there and they were like, yeah,
you're here for the all this year and greet these
sides and this and that. So they give me these

sides for diamond. I'm like, okay, I'm looking at it
and I'm like, oh, I'm just learning this real quick.
So I can get up there and I'm still thinking
about my tape and now my job. So hours passed.
I'm like, canna probably fly year. Then they called me
up there and go up there and they're like, okay,
so you're ready. There's like what side said give me?
I said, they gave me the size for Diamond. They're like, yeah,

we've seen too many diamonds today. Go back downstairs and
I asked them, I thank you, give you the size
for Ronnie or somebody else and I'm like, kidding me.
I'm reading Diamond, just give me my tape. Then ice
Cube wasn't up there, and I'm like, what's really going on?
A song? Like downstairs? Asked for the size for Ronnie
and they're like on the description says Ronnie six foot tall,

is the set me up for failure. I was like, okay,
if I'm learning this real quick, just so I'll go
back and there and talk to them. Boy my tape.
So go back up there and like you're ready and
I'm like yeah. So I started reading the the size,

Ebony and I'm like, yeah, so what's up you trying

to get this money? Away and in the middle of it,
I just said I'm about to bust out into a
wrap and I was like, hold up, hold up, it's
a song right here now acts like I was turning
up the ready or not, just like yeah, and I

went back the next day. Cube still wasn't there. I
did another audition. They was like, okay, you were great,
and we'll give you a call. And then months later
I get a call at my other job because I
end up getting fired. So I was now at another
like another art gallery. But luckily a girl at the

other job knew my number and gave whoever was calling
I end up answering like receptions to the answer phone
said oh yeah, ice Cube was on the phone for you,
and I'm like, girl, whatever, Because it's three months later
and I've been up some I'm like hello, He's like, yo,
what's up this Cube? And I was like what Because
I didn't really nikles in. I thought I was a
little joke. I thought on somebody playing with me and

knew that I wanted all this because I was telling
the right Yeah, it's this audition, gona my tape a
cube and then and then so I got tired of
telling that story and I've never been contacted my cube.
So I was like whatever, it's a lot. So then
the girl came. She was like yeah, the same person
is back on the phone and he was like you
hung up and I was like okay, and I was
like hello. He was like yo, this is really cute.
Like no, I was like oh hey, hello hello. He's

like yeah, yeah, I saw your audition enough and you
did a great job. And I'm like oh sho. He's
like yeah, so yeah that's what happened. He was like,
come to l A, I'll did it again. And so
then you know, but they didn't fly me out there,
had to fly myself out there to let people show.
Then I really did have to start stripping to get
the money to get out there. Amateur night. We need

and we just kind of collaborated and came up with
what she would what she would do with you, because

both being faier skin, both having kind of the same

than her, So the producers at first kind of gave him.

we don't really think that she should be that role

young and coming up, and it was just this animosity

had choreographed the whole fight and she ended up pushing

pushing me into a mirror and I hit my head.
That was not supposed to happen, and so the blood
came out of my mouth but it wasn't supposed to
come out. Then I was holding a pellet in my mouth.
I supposed to bustet at a certain time. But when
she did that, I was like, oh, bit like blood.
I was like, oh, that's all we doing. So I

got up immediately and like grabbed her and like if
you look back in the movie, and I pushed her
and then I pushed her now and he was like,
that's not that she supposed to and I was like, oh, yeah,

that that's just you know, without the proper I guess training,
and I was new, she was new, and so she happens,

the other scene when I say I run this motherfucker
and I put my finger in her face, that wasn't

us to go through this thing because I want her

So and that was that was what made it believable,
because anything we reheard it was two we hurts. She

So I'm at work and so I'm I'm working at

mom wanted me to really be a lawyer. So I'm
at the slow firm and I'm like, okay, damn, if

go to the cafe station and take cut my tape.
So I'm like, How'm I going to tell them? And
so I was like, listen, you guys, I really want
to do this. So I was like, okay, go ahead,

you can go on your lunch breaks. So I get
there and it's a line around on the corner, wrapped

So I get in there and they were like, yeah,
you're here for the all this year and greet these
sides and this and that. So they give me these

So I can get up there and I'm still thinking
about my tape and now my job. So hours passed.
