Speaker 3 (00:05):
It's on the radio, and the Dodgers keeps on time.
Speaker 4 (00:11):
Ready and his lunchbox.
Speaker 3 (00:13):
More game too, Steve bred and it's trying to put
you through the fog. He's running this Wigs next bit
and Bobby's on the box so you know what this.
Speaker 5 (00:27):
Is the Bobby Ball on the Bobby Bones Show.
Speaker 4 (00:31):
Now, Dirk Spentley, I love him so Derk s.
Speaker 5 (00:34):
Bentley got a new song out today called she Hates Me.
You got a new studio, Yeah, first time we built
it just for you. We leave and go back to
the one today. I'm gonna want to it's Valentin's Day.
Want to get to the point by this song? Yeah,
I want to play it.
Speaker 1 (00:47):
Sure.
Speaker 5 (00:48):
Obviously some strategy here because that's like a breakup song, right.
Speaker 6 (00:51):
Yeah, it's like an anti day Valentine's Day song. I
guess anti Valentine's Day.
Speaker 5 (00:54):
And he wrote it.
Speaker 6 (00:57):
Yeah, I wrote it with with Ashley Gorley and Ross
Are Buddy Ross Kopperman and Chase McGill.
Speaker 1 (01:01):
It wasn't really meant to be. You know.
Speaker 6 (01:04):
We were writing some songs that day and hoping to
get to another song. We just finished one and we
were taking a little break, and you know, just kind
of started. Someone started playing the guitar and started playing
this riff, and then this song kind of started happening,
and it's kind of like, are we really gonna write
this this song?
Speaker 1 (01:17):
And then all right, let's write it.
Speaker 6 (01:19):
So we wrote it in about thirty minutes and moved
on to the next real song, and then this one
just kind of stuck around. What'sn't really my pick for
the first single. Initially I usually leaned towards more serious songs.
Even going back to what was I thinking? I didn't
want that to be a single, but I just it
just was meant to be. And the fact that's coming
out in Valentine's Day is pretty pretty funny.
Speaker 5 (01:40):
Okay, we're gonna play it. We get right to business.
Then we're gonna have fun in a minute. But I
want yeah we oh dude, do we have some fun
playing for you? Bring in the cupids, Bring in the
dancing cupids. Wow. On the Bobby Bone Show now making
fun of our headphones. We were playing Dirk's a song
and we're like celebrated it.
Speaker 1 (02:00):
He's lunchbox is a lot nicer model there. It's like
the really are are definitely nicer, softer, softer.
Speaker 5 (02:08):
He's going to get the film insert Valentine's Day buddy,
all right, I'm good.
Speaker 6 (02:11):
Yeah, this is I've never really liked this holiday a
whole lot anyway, So yeah, it's just you know, I
used to have gigs back in the day at station
in where we had like the Anti Day, anti Valentine's
Day party, had dress black to get in and it's
just such a hallmark holiday.
Speaker 1 (02:25):
I don't know what do you think, Amy, you love
this one.
Speaker 7 (02:26):
Or I'm I'm not the most romantic person al, so
I'm just sort of neutral about it.
Speaker 5 (02:31):
Are you committing the character? I'm not coming right now.
He's Daniel day Lewis, He's Lincoln, he's staying character. He's
wearing all black.
Speaker 6 (02:44):
I feel like for guys out there, it's a tough
holiday because let's say you're dating somebody.
Speaker 1 (02:48):
I'm sure lunch can can help me on this.
Speaker 6 (02:50):
So you're doating somebody, the relationships going pretty good, it's
all right, and all of a sudden, this checkpoint shows up.
You got to pass through, Like, Okay, it's Valentine's Day?
Do I get her the car? Do we go for jewelry.
Are we gonna You know, if I say the thing,
it derails us if I put too much into it.
Now we're like way ahead of where I wanted this
thing to be. It's kind of it's just it's not
It really can trip you up. So I've never been
a huge fan of it. At my house every day,
(03:11):
every day is Valentine's He's not a method acting anymore.
Speaker 5 (03:15):
He's at my house. Lucas is home listening. She knows
every day is Valentine's Day. But can you grace us
with a love story of meeting your wife?
Speaker 6 (03:25):
Yeah? So I knew my wife in eighth grade. I
always kind of had a crush on her, but then
we went separate ways. Long story short, I was playing
a show opening for George Straight in Las Vegas in
February fifth of two thousand and five, and she was
going to come out just as a friend. I was like, Yeah,
we tried to date. It just wasn't meant to be.
But I always liked her. She's one of the favorite
(03:46):
people to be around. I was like, yeah, come to
the show. So I'm on the back of my bus,
the same bus that I still have. I'm watching the
movie old school for the millionth time. Now this is
pre you know iPhone, this is two thousand and five.
But we had to watch DVDs and stuff to entertain ourselves.
And she walked on the bus and I knew the
second she walked on that we were gonna get married.
Speaker 1 (04:05):
I just had that was like, just what.
Speaker 5 (04:06):
Do you mean you knew?
Speaker 6 (04:07):
I just it's kind of like the first time of
her Dank Junior. I just like knew I was gonna
be a country singer. I just when she walked to
the bus, I just I was like, we're getting married.
I just added something. When did she know that? Right?
Speaker 5 (04:18):
Well?
Speaker 6 (04:19):
She found out later that year when I was back
in Las Vegas playing the last show of the year,
and uh, I We're waking up next morning and my
buddy Lee came in, who does a lot of styling.
Speaker 1 (04:28):
He styled.
Speaker 6 (04:28):
He s style stuff for closing for me. Still works
with Luke Bryan. He walked in with our hotel room
with a bunch of dresses and she's like, uh, we
just got engaged the night before, and she's like, what's
going on. I said, we're flying out in Mexico. We're
eloping today and we're going on to Mexico to get
to get married. And so we went down to Mexico
and I.
Speaker 1 (04:47):
Was wow, me and her the judge.
Speaker 6 (04:51):
I guess you'd call the person and her interpreter, because
everything was said in Spanish.
Speaker 1 (04:55):
And we got married.
Speaker 6 (04:57):
Uh, just the four of us, Me and cast and
those two people, and yeah, that's good.
Speaker 1 (05:04):
Yeah, So I peaked.
Speaker 6 (05:05):
That was my I peaked twenty years ago, and ever
since then, I have not been overly romantic.
Speaker 1 (05:10):
So I need to find a maybe this should be
the year and I do something really great again.
Speaker 5 (05:13):
But I can agree with you though when it feels forced,
it doesn't feel authentic. Yeah, and this feels forced. But
my helpful voice to our listener or the guy listeners
has been, don't feel pressured, but understand if your love
languages gift giving like mine is like, I look forward
to this because it's really I'm bad at saying stuff.
(05:34):
Gift giving is my love language.
Speaker 1 (05:36):
Yeah.
Speaker 5 (05:36):
However, if your girl works in an office where everybod's
gettingtuff and she doesn't like, you have to at least
think of that, like, think of her in that situation.
Not even that I got to be so romantic, but
at least allow her to not feel ostracized because she's
at the office and she's different than everybody else. She's
not getting But what about the social media component.
Speaker 6 (05:54):
I feel the younger generation everything has to be like
every birthday, my queen, and like you have to like.
Speaker 1 (05:58):
Really load up on all this stuff.
Speaker 4 (06:00):
It's like, oh my god, well that's how I teached you.
Speaker 5 (06:02):
Coming in my Queen. Dark Spentley's coming out so so
thank my life's not on social media.
Speaker 6 (06:06):
It's like I don't have to like, you know, but
it's still just the pressure of, like, you know, the engagement,
you gotta have the photo. The guy's gonna be there
to capture the moment. It's like, how's that off? Spontaneous?
Speaker 1 (06:16):
So there's like a photographer waiting to capture the engagement moment.
Speaker 5 (06:19):
I don't making character guys. We got him back playing
a new song today called she Hates Me. I have
a question I've been dying to ask Derek. We're going
to do it in just a second. Let us take
a quick break. Derek Spentley in studio and the question
that I have been itching. I thought it was a rash.
It wasn't. It was that you were coming in and
I am your rash. It is next right there on
(06:39):
your yes yes, when you said you like your first
thing will be something serious like this song they've been
streaming the most, like fine, I know that's.
Speaker 1 (06:46):
Like the very first song I ever put out. Was
I thinking?
Speaker 6 (06:49):
I thought so hard for that not to be the single.
Uh had the song called I Wish You Would Break?
It was a serious song. It's like what I think
of myself as as a songwriter. I think of myself
as I hold on and and wish would break in
some of these heavier songs. But you look at the numbers,
I guess I'm a That's not who I am.
Speaker 5 (07:07):
My favorite song of years ever is not a single.
I mean I guess it was a single, but it
was so serious and slow at a time where I
guess slow songs are like bad. But yeah, Bourbon and Kentucky, Yeah,
my favorite song ever.
Speaker 6 (07:17):
I had a feeling you're going to say that we
had to pull that song because it just didn't really
wasn't really doing on the radio, and it was the
first single and came back with that hold on and
quickly got to drunk on a plane. But yeah, I
love that song. I've put it back in the set
list a little bit now and then, especially now that
I have a bourbon, now that I have a bourbon,
celebrity whiskey out there, what your celebrity ninety four because
we need one more celebrity spirit. It was just it
(07:38):
was just missing one in the in the in the
crowded field.
Speaker 5 (07:41):
But row ninety four and you described as three ingredients
and the truth and the truth. Yeaay like that?
Speaker 6 (07:47):
It was an old Harlan Howard was a great country
songwriter in Nashville.
Speaker 1 (07:50):
He described country music as three chords and the truth.
So we need.
Speaker 5 (07:56):
You have a lot of young listeners out there.
Speaker 1 (07:57):
Okay, this isn't you.
Speaker 5 (07:58):
Think you're a hip hop station. I feel like I'm
an interrogation room, new studio, same vibe. It's very you know,
just like everyone's lights are on bright.
Speaker 6 (08:06):
The ammer's recording me, and I'm like, uh, the share
I think has some electric share. If I say the
wrong answer, I'm gonna get shocked. That would be a
final element, shocking chair.
Speaker 5 (08:16):
That would be good.
Speaker 1 (08:17):
Yeah, say the wrong thing.
Speaker 5 (08:18):
Okay, question, yes, are you going on Survivor?
Speaker 1 (08:21):
I'm not going right away, not now. It's open for
the future, but there's wow.
Speaker 5 (08:26):
I didn't think you would answer that.
Speaker 6 (08:27):
Yeah, there was a lot of so I posted something
and it got kind of picked up. I wasn't even
posting for me. A friend of mine here in Nashville,
she's been trying out for the show for a long time.
I've been trying to help her, but I do love
the show, and then the opportunity kind of like came
back that it was a possibility even though I wasn't
looking for it, and I had to kind of like
really think about it. And I have a lot of
(08:48):
respect for the contestants on that show. You know, it's
one thing everyone watches it and goes, oh, yeah, I
could do that. I could do, you know, but man,
I mean I have three temper pedic pillows, like to
have my positions just right, and I'm kind of like,
you know, I don't know, and also a lot of
stuff going on with the album, the tour, whatnot this year,
but at some point I could I'd love to maybe get.
Speaker 1 (09:09):
It, get a try.
Speaker 5 (09:10):
So it was an option though it was an option.
Speaker 7 (09:13):
Yes, yeah, and it's still I think it.
Speaker 1 (09:16):
Might still be out there.
Speaker 6 (09:16):
Yeah, I had I had a friendly response to with
the show U talent with your.
Speaker 7 (09:23):
Friend that you've been helping. Now you better figure out
a way for them to get on.
Speaker 1 (09:26):
For Natalie Clements, she'd be amazing.
Speaker 6 (09:28):
She is like, oh wait, you didn't get her on
and she's not on videos with her you're taking together.
Speaker 5 (09:35):
He's like, I want her to be on. Then he
takes her spot. I know that's why I can't.
Speaker 7 (09:38):
Do it right exactly, He'll be like if I.
Speaker 6 (09:41):
Don't take her spot because they kind of have a
spot for each person, right, there's this person that fits
this kind of justice for.
Speaker 5 (09:47):
Natalie's what I say, Wow, Lunchbox, how do you feel
about that? Because you thought he was on?
Speaker 8 (09:52):
Man, I was like, good, I was gonna have a
beef with him, but now no beef.
Speaker 5 (09:55):
We're not beefing and we're good. Be Why because he was, Oh,
it's your thing? Yeah, yeah, I love this thing.
Speaker 1 (10:01):
Okay?
Speaker 2 (10:01):
Is this thing?
Speaker 5 (10:03):
He's anything?
Speaker 1 (10:04):
Like what anything?
Speaker 6 (10:04):
I can promote himself on here doing you know, he's
about the new one. There's even outside that may be
more hardcore one you see naked and afraid.
Speaker 1 (10:12):
That's not you.
Speaker 5 (10:13):
He's definitely making afraid. That's him every morning.
Speaker 4 (10:15):
Here That's what I'm saying.
Speaker 8 (10:16):
Like they all try to rip off survivor and they're
not survivor. Have you practiced making fire and everything with
like flint? I could make a little fire of flint. Yeah,
practice a little practice.
Speaker 5 (10:25):
You still riding the bike.
Speaker 1 (10:26):
No, I haven't been terrible. I haven't riding the bike
at all. No, I know. I still in it for
a while.
Speaker 6 (10:31):
Then started getting like neck pain, and I'm just no,
I'm still playing hockey.
Speaker 5 (10:35):
Uh Like I got a men's group on Tuesdays and
then neck pain from riding the bike. But you're hockey in.
You're hockey in with no physical limitations at all.
Speaker 6 (10:42):
There's a guy named Bobby Ryan who's like, you know,
he's the second overall draft pick back in two thousand
and three, and I skate with him and I ran
in under their day.
Speaker 1 (10:50):
And I've never had a stinger before. I watched a
lot of football.
Speaker 6 (10:53):
You watch guys walking off the field, but they can't
move an arm, and it compressed my neck back so bad,
so badly, and I couldn't move my arm. I go, oh,
it's just a stinger, you know, because that's that's what
they say on TV, Like he'll be fine.
Speaker 1 (11:04):
Just a stinger.
Speaker 6 (11:04):
Let me tell you, A stinger really hurts, like you
can't move your arm for like five minutes. So I
got that the other day, Thanks Bobby, but different Bobby,
Bobby Ryan.
Speaker 5 (11:12):
The two injuries that have kind of a fun kind
of name that really hurt stingers singers and turf toe.
Turf toe sounds fun. Yeah, it kills. It's a football
language for like you just stubbed your toe. But yes,
actually break like your ge toe bone injuries like bell wrong,
he'll be fine, yeah, bell wrong?
Speaker 1 (11:31):
Yeah.
Speaker 6 (11:31):
Now, yeah, is a stinger? I mean that really hurt
up and it was Yeah, it was pretty pathetic. I
just kind of bumped into it and like hurt pretty bad.
But no, not not cycling a lot, pick a ball.
And I'm speaking of basketball. I'm going to the Vannerbilt
Arkansas game. Marks fourth. My daughter's singing the national anthem. Really, yeah,
you're gonna go to that game?
Speaker 5 (11:51):
Probably?
Speaker 1 (11:51):
All right?
Speaker 4 (11:52):
Can I do background vocals?
Speaker 1 (11:53):
Amazing?
Speaker 5 (11:53):
Yeah, it's got her. Yeah, it's not about the game.
I just want to get up there. That's really cool. Yeah,
I mean that's a side the basketball game part. Yeah,
she nervous about that. She excited.
Speaker 1 (12:03):
I'm nervous.
Speaker 6 (12:04):
I mean, she's done it once before in a high
school game, and uh, it was the most nerve wou
acking thing I've ever been part of, because it's you know,
that song is such as it's the song and it's
really hard to sing. I don't know why I've sung
it several times, and looking back on it, I don't
know why I ever even thought about it. It's just
there's just no one situation unless you're Chris Stapleton or
or Whitney Houston. It's just a it's a hard one
to sing, I think, but she does. She does pretty
(12:25):
good on it.
Speaker 5 (12:25):
Why you thought about it's because you love the country.
But then once you're in it, you're like, man, is
a hard song to say. I love the country, but
I don't like this song. Loves the country. It says yes,
and then gets in it. That song is so hard
to sing. It gets you have to start so low. Yeah,
you gotta find out or you start too low. You
know that.
Speaker 6 (12:40):
I sing it one time for the Titans, and I
was worried about starting too high. I started too low
and then you get to those trace Adkins notes, Oh gosh.
Speaker 5 (12:48):
I can't base basically lines.
Speaker 1 (12:50):
You can't just kind of fade out there then come
back in.
Speaker 5 (12:53):
Are you playing pickball at all?
Speaker 1 (12:54):
Yeah? Or are we going to play? Sometimes we are.
Speaker 5 (12:56):
It's gotten cold, it's too cold, and right last time
we're playing. One of the writers on On On Dirk's
song is a great friend of mine and we play
a lot, and so I text Derek is like, are
you coming over? And I think maybe you saw aw
something I saw some I think maybe slow something you were.
Speaker 1 (13:14):
Put a little more time in, you know, get my
game up to up to speed. But I'm ready when
it warms up.
Speaker 5 (13:19):
Yeah, sure, it's cold, Okay, we have we have a
game we're gonna play. You're gonna be the first one
to do it officially in just a second. You're gonna
like it. You think we're always up to something. No,
we're on some back to the y m c A. Back
in the day you were you were that might have
been were all started for you. Are you announcing a
tour after like today? Because but not now you can't.
They're not gonna let you do it now. I'm just
(13:41):
saying I will if you want to, you can, but
I don't want to.
Speaker 4 (13:45):
If there's like a noon, the earth is coming together?
Speaker 5 (13:48):
Can we announce the tour? I mean it's a good one.
Take a break, we'll come back. She said, just for
just for you on the Bobby Bone Show. Now you
know Dirk's from I thought you got twenty two number ones? Wow,
that is crazy. I mean he's so rich, he's right
here next to us.
Speaker 1 (14:05):
Somebody, Is there a good money in a number in
New York Times? The number one best seller?
Speaker 5 (14:09):
Yes, okay, after it's like an honestly the real talk,
I'm serious.
Speaker 1 (14:13):
Yeah.
Speaker 5 (14:13):
The first book that I did, they offered a medium
to low guarantee, which I did not accept because I
never written a book, and I was like, I'm not
going to take anything. But it's not so I wrote
like half of it and then I took the money.
It was like one hundred and fifty thousand dollars for
a first book.
Speaker 6 (14:30):
Yeah, but then it was high back end and it
was a four four week number one, so it did.
Speaker 5 (14:35):
Okay, I would I would compare it from what I know.
You got a number one. If you write a number
one song as are with two other writers, it's about
that page.
Speaker 1 (14:42):
Yeah, okay.
Speaker 5 (14:42):
Second book was better because I had one already, so
they gave me a bigger guarantee. Okay, that's the real talk.
Speaker 7 (14:47):
Now you're going to write a book, well.
Speaker 5 (14:49):
I mean I'm trying to make that Bobby Bones money.
Speaker 1 (14:51):
Yeah.
Speaker 5 (14:51):
How you get the book writing about that? You know
it is not? Okay, So we're going to start the
official Bobby Bone Show bop At League where artists will
come in. And we've done this before with artists, but
we haven't kept track. Derk says.
Speaker 6 (15:03):
When I pulled up bop It, you gotta thought I
pulled in an alien from another planet.
Speaker 1 (15:06):
It looks a child.
Speaker 5 (15:09):
Yeah yeah, yeah, pull it. So this is what will happen.
Pull twist it all right, you hit the button here,
pull it, pull it first. Okay. Now now look this
is it's bop it. That's bop it. Twist it.
Speaker 1 (15:24):
Okay, okay, yeah, this is good. This is a good
bust bust game.
Speaker 5 (15:28):
You played this on the bus. Okay. We gotta get
him some some whiskey or something.
Speaker 7 (15:31):
He says, it would be a good bus game. He
hasn't played it.
Speaker 1 (15:34):
I know.
Speaker 6 (15:34):
Well we do some dumb stuff, O care. So a
little whiskey and uh and bop it could be pretty fun.
Speaker 5 (15:39):
Okay, so you're gonna play bop it. And the thing is, guys,
when he's playing, we have to be quiet at the
end because we have to hear the score. So you
can take one practice run and we'll stop you. But
just so you can get the hang of it. So
so go ahead and pull it right now. It'll tell you.
Speaker 1 (15:56):
I got it.
Speaker 5 (15:58):
Okay, he's got it like he's cot wow, thrown off?
You did get cocky?
Speaker 1 (16:04):
Cocky?
Speaker 5 (16:04):
Yeah, yeah, so pull the mic down. Yeah, we can
hear it.
Speaker 4 (16:07):
Here we go, score seven.
Speaker 2 (16:11):
Poppy twisted, Pully houly, Pully twisted to get.
Speaker 1 (16:20):
The crypt just right?
Speaker 2 (16:23):
Holy, bopp it, bopp it, Pully.
Speaker 5 (16:29):
Twisted, get hard, getting faster.
Speaker 2 (16:33):
Bopp Pully twisted, Pully Pully?
Speaker 7 (16:46):
What did you do right?
Speaker 5 (16:47):
So weak?
Speaker 1 (16:47):
That's low?
Speaker 2 (16:48):
Yeah? I do?
Speaker 4 (16:49):
What do you?
Speaker 7 (16:50):
What do you miss?
Speaker 4 (16:50):
What?
Speaker 1 (16:51):
I got a lot?
Speaker 5 (16:51):
Thought?
Speaker 1 (16:53):
What's the record? You get?
Speaker 4 (16:55):
Eighteen for? For an artist? Eighteen?
Speaker 1 (16:57):
What's your record? What's all the high?
Speaker 5 (16:59):
There was seven seven something.
Speaker 1 (17:00):
A time for that?
Speaker 5 (17:01):
We gotta he's got stuff to do interviewing. Yeah, it
probably gave up for us.
Speaker 1 (17:05):
I purposely didn't didn't twist it when I should have pulled.
Speaker 5 (17:07):
You will go on the scoreboard with a score of eighteen.
Speaker 1 (17:09):
Well, okay, I'll do it off camera here. We'll get it.
We'll get the rule.
Speaker 5 (17:13):
That's that's like throwing a pass when the lights aren't on.
I'm thinking about the fans. They're listening to the radio.
Speaker 1 (17:16):
They don't hear to play pop it for seventy I

Speaker 4 (22:53):
Can picture the scene they're at. They're at a meal.
I'll have what she's having?
Speaker 7 (22:56):
What?
Speaker 2 (22:58):
Shoot?
Speaker 4 (22:58):
What is that from? How much she's having? Shoot? I
don't know. Do dirty avengers? Avengers? No?
Speaker 5 (23:08):
What is it when Harry met Salad? Of course it
is Amy wins. That's a quick game. I'll give you
a victory. Life category Famous people of the seventies. Amy What,
Swedish pop group rose to the seventies with the song
Dancing Queen uh Abba.
Speaker 4 (23:24):
Correct.
Speaker 5 (23:24):
Amy What, martial arts legend and movie star, died in
nineteen seventy three at the age of thirty two. Martial
arts legend and movie star died in nineteen seventy three
at thirty two. Jackie Chin, No die, he's doing movies live. Yeah,
I think he's still a live to yeh.
Speaker 4 (23:45):
The first one, Bruce Lee, That's what I meant. How
do you die?
Speaker 9 (23:50):
I don't know, Mike, you know how Brusley died? Probably good?
Your high school beat up or something? Next one what actress?
Amy played Prince Leya in Star Wars.
Speaker 7 (24:02):
No Again, Thank you of her name?
Speaker 4 (24:06):
Kerrie Fisher? Yeah, finally, Amy What?
Speaker 5 (24:09):
Actor played Danny Zuko in the nineteen seventy eight movie
Grease n Travolta Correct and your answer is Bruce Ley
died of a cerebral oh dama known as brain swelling,
a condition where excess of fluid accumulates a brain tissue.
Speaker 4 (24:23):
So you got hit. Sounds like a trauma.
Speaker 11 (24:29):
He landed on a Yeah, his son's the one that
got shot on a movie set.
Speaker 4 (24:34):
Oh shot Brandon Lee. Yeah, because the bowler was supposed
to be fake. Yeah, crazy, that's crazy. Amy is a
winner though, and I mean three wins. Good job. That's
a quick round. But that is easy trivia. Nice job.
Speaker 5 (24:47):
Hey Morgan, is this a real life story about you?
Or is this one of those finger quotes?
Speaker 4 (24:53):
No, this is real life? Okay Morgan, dating story, Okay,
go ahead.
Speaker 10 (24:57):
Yeah, So I was on a date with a guy
and we're sitting, they're talking. Everything was going fine, but
somehow we stumble upon this conversation and he admits that
he's in this massive group chat with a bunch of
his friends and a bunch of like random stranger guys
that all they do is send a bunch of uh
not safe for work videos photos of women?
Speaker 4 (25:19):
What? Uh?
Speaker 8 (25:21):
What?
Speaker 5 (25:22):
Okay? Many many questions. First, why would he tell you this?
What date is this?
Speaker 4 (25:28):
It is a day from hinge it was a first day.
Oh yeah, it first date.
Speaker 5 (25:32):
He admits on a first date that he's in a
text group where they send a bunch of naked pictures,
just a bunch of dudes.
Speaker 4 (25:39):
Yep.
Speaker 2 (25:39):
Yeah.
Speaker 4 (25:40):
He even like showed me it. I saw it. What
so it was like he was making it up? How
does it come up?
Speaker 10 (25:46):
We were just talking about like funny group chats that
were in and I had mentioned how like I hate
group chat sometimes because they go off. He's like, oh,
speaking of mine's like blowing up right now. And I'm like, well,
is it like important, do you need to get something?
Speaker 4 (25:59):
He's like, no, this this is just something I've in.
Speaker 10 (26:01):
And I kind of pushed him on it because he
did kind of like try inside sweep it, and I
was like, no, tell me about her group chat, and he.
Speaker 5 (26:08):
Came out with it, you can't go out with this
guy again. No, Now, this is my opinion, and we
go around the room. You can't go out with this
guy again for a couple of reasons. One, he's not
even smart enough to lie about the group chat. He's
already disgusting for being in. So the super second symptom
is he brings it up like an idiot that he's
(26:29):
in one, and then he admits that he's in some
disgusting naked group chat.
Speaker 4 (26:34):
He's the dumb dumb.
Speaker 5 (26:35):
But if you go even deeper to fundamental, who's in
a group chat with a bunch of dudes to send
him naked girls, that to me feels disgusting. Okay, but
let's just say because I'm gonna let lunch Lunchbox have
his minute here or too, lunchboxs will have some reason.
But who gets in a chat people you don't even know?
Which feels even more gross. This is so gross on
(26:56):
so many levels, and he's dumb. You cannot go out
with this guy again. That's that would be my opinion.
Now we're going to save the lunchbox of the headliner
here because I'm sure I'll have a controversial opinions.
Speaker 4 (27:06):
But Amy, you're up.
Speaker 7 (27:07):
I mean no, this is disgusting. It's the reddest red
flag I've ever heard of.
Speaker 4 (27:10):
In my good one, it's the reddest flag. Yep. It's
like it's it's Texas A and M maroon.
Speaker 7 (27:15):
It can't get more red than this in the it
doesn't find that it's completely disgusting and disrespectful. To be
sharing pictures. These poor girls have no idea.
Speaker 5 (27:25):
Oh no, no, no, I thought it could be stuff
from the internet too, where they I'm not thinking it's
just pictures of people they know. I'm thinking it's just
naked girls from the internet.
Speaker 4 (27:33):
Yeah, and that's what it was.
Speaker 10 (27:34):
It's just naked photos videos that are already on the
internet that they're then sharing in this group chat.
Speaker 4 (27:40):
That's what I that's what I thought it was. Okay,
I thought I.
Speaker 7 (27:42):
Didn't know if I know, you know, like you know,
some girls sends this guy.
Speaker 5 (27:46):
Yeah, but we're not there, so I don't even know.
I don't even want to go there because that's a
whole different place.
Speaker 4 (27:50):
Well still red flag, I agree, so we will agree there.
Speaker 5 (27:53):
It's it's it's roll tied red, and there are different reds.
Speaker 4 (27:57):
Arkansas is a cardinal red. It's not as dark, dark
dark red. That's it. That's it. That's a bad way
with guys you don't even know much.
Speaker 8 (28:05):
I mean, Morgan, have you listened to Granny and Grandpa talk?
Now you're gonna listen to reality. Okay, it's not a
big deal. Who cares if a bunch of dudes send
naked videos like if they see something that's funny online,
like oh, look what.
Speaker 4 (28:17):
She's doing me. Yeah, she is a comedy thread. She
jumps out of a birthday cake.
Speaker 1 (28:21):
Isn't that hilarious?
Speaker 8 (28:22):
Or you see a funny clip, you send it to
your friends and you probably get added into this group.
Speaker 4 (28:27):
Like you have a group of.
Speaker 8 (28:27):
Friends and then they have a friend maybe they work
with or they add to the group text, so you
don't know them, but you know them by osmosis, like
you are attached.
Speaker 5 (28:36):
Do you know what osmosis is? I don't think you
do in this Okay, sometimes you get them.
Speaker 4 (28:39):
I don't think you do here.
Speaker 8 (28:40):
No, but it's a worth it.
Speaker 5 (28:42):
It's like relatable and so now that's not what that
means because yeah.
Speaker 4 (28:46):
It's like Eddie knows someone.
Speaker 8 (28:48):
So if Eddie's friends with him, like he adds me
to the group text, it's like I kind of know
the guy through Eddie.
Speaker 4 (28:52):
It's no big deal with it. Okay, that's not osmosis,
but I feel you, but continue on.
Speaker 8 (28:56):
Yeah, and he was even upfront about it, like it's
not like he.
Speaker 4 (28:59):
Lied about it or he tried to lie. No, dude, no, no, no,
he didn't try to lie.
Speaker 8 (29:03):
Because she said group chats bah blah blah blah, and
he straight up said, oh, I'm in this one.
Speaker 4 (29:08):
That's kind of annoying.
Speaker 8 (29:09):
He told her right about it, right up front. He
wasn't trying to hide naked girls. He just said, it's
a little funny thing that we laughed at during the day,
like it's something to break up work.
Speaker 4 (29:18):
Day, laughing. I don't think it's a comedy thread, dude.
It's not like they're good. They're not going home and
looking at this and going, oh my gosh.
Speaker 8 (29:26):
It's just something funny at work, Like, oh, I came
across this on the internet.
Speaker 2 (29:29):
Huh.
Speaker 7 (29:30):
So if your wife got onto your phone and you
had a group text a bunch of guys just sending
naked pictures and videos of other strength women, like if
I told her about it, I.
Speaker 4 (29:38):
Don't think he wanted to tell her. He tried to
get out of it, but did he straight up it's
about naked chicks, but this is what she's ay. But
I did press him on it.
Speaker 2 (29:46):
It did.
Speaker 4 (29:46):
He wasn't like coming out and just saying it.
Speaker 10 (29:48):
I kind of pressed him to be like, Hey, what's
the contact.
Speaker 4 (29:50):
It's a gateway.
Speaker 6 (29:52):
Yes, I don't think this is not This is not
comedy though it is a gateway.
Speaker 7 (29:57):
To more things to come. If you get into a
relationship with this guy that are gonna be very problematic.
Speaker 8 (30:02):
Okay, So it would it be a red flag if
like every third Thursday of the month he goes to
the dance.
Speaker 4 (30:08):
Club with his friends.
Speaker 7 (30:09):
This season for me, yes, oh yeah, Like gosh, man,
maybe every week month.
Speaker 4 (30:18):
Every month.
Speaker 7 (30:19):
Maybe if you said a bachelor party every ten years
or something, but you went every Thursday.
Speaker 8 (30:26):
They've been doing it for, you know, ten years. It's
just something they do. It's not a big deal.
Speaker 4 (30:31):
I know, it's weird.
Speaker 8 (30:32):
Embrace naked guys, Like why are we so I don't
mind it.
Speaker 5 (30:35):
I don't no, no, no, I don't. I don't mind naked.
It doesn't matter. That's your opinion.
Speaker 4 (30:39):
I'm not.
Speaker 5 (30:40):
I don't agree with it, but I can just stop
talking about it.
Speaker 4 (30:46):
Is that fair? Yeah? Would you like to hear what
osmosis is?
Speaker 2 (30:50):
Uh?
Speaker 4 (30:50):
Huh? Like uh?
Speaker 5 (30:51):
For example, osmosis to me a funny way, or I
would be like if I slept, if I put my
head on a book and I slept on it, and
then this doesn't happen. But if all the stuff came
into your brain because you're sleeping on the book. I
would be like, I learned that through osmosis. But like,
imagine you have a cup of water and you put
a gummy bear in the water. Okay, so at first
the gummy bear is small in the water, but after
(31:12):
a while, the gummy bear obviously gets bigger. That's because
the water moves into the gummy bear through tiny, tiny, tiny,
invisible holes, and then the water wants to spread out
and make things even, and so it's inside of it.
Speaker 4 (31:24):
That is osmosis.
Speaker 7 (31:25):
Oh, I just learned about this with my son. Except
for his schoology or whatever we were using. Used to
potato instead of a ga.
Speaker 5 (31:32):
Potato is great because the water will balance it out.
Like if the water's in there, wherever the water is,
it's not going to stay concentrated to one place where
it's all a lopsided. It'll the water then balances out
to be it goes inside of it, and that's osmosis.
Speaker 4 (31:47):
So I just wanted to describe osmosis. I like lunchboxes ability.
Speaker 5 (31:50):
Sometimes I throw words in, but I do need to say, hey,
that's not the accurate representation or definition of the word,
because you understand.
Speaker 4 (31:57):
Yeah, I understood it now, but I thought I was close,
kind of close. I wonder what you were looking for.
But that's okay.
Speaker 7 (32:04):
I think maybe you know, like you've got a bunch
of molecules hanging out together, so we're just like, hey, it's.
Speaker 4 (32:08):
Just like osmosis.
Speaker 5 (32:10):
It's like strip club on Thursday. Yeah, Morgan, are you
going out.
Speaker 4 (32:14):
With them again?
Speaker 5 (32:15):
No?
Speaker 4 (32:15):
No, I'm not. Yeah, it had been overright there for me.
Speaker 10 (32:19):
Well, I'm curious though, if you are on a date
with this person this happens, like do you finish the
date or do you just up and leave?
Speaker 5 (32:26):
I don't up and leave because I'm not so offended
personally because nothing's happening illegal. But I don't think it's
somebody that I want to be with right the only
I think I probably cut it shorter with natural ways
to cut it shorter, Like I don't hang around, we
don't go for something after you may run into them again.
Speaker 4 (32:43):
Yeah I don't. Yeah, I don't leave. I don't gotta go.
I got diary. I gotta go home. That doesn't happen
because it does happen other time.
Speaker 10 (32:52):
Okay, I did, I didn't you know, I finished the
date that didn't leave.
Speaker 4 (32:56):
You were looking for now, You were looking for now.
You didn't like him anyway, This is just an excuse. No,
this is bigger than an excuse.
Speaker 5 (33:01):
She might not have liked him, but I would imagine
if this he's in a thread with a bunch of
dudes he doesn't know. There are other things about him
that she probably doesn't like. But I don't think this
would be the thing if everything else was perfect. I
can't believe this would be something that exists in that
guy's life.
Speaker 4 (33:15):
I didn't mean to cut you off, Amy, What do
you want to say?
Speaker 6 (33:17):
Oh?
Speaker 4 (33:17):
No, I didn't even cut you off.
Speaker 7 (33:18):
I was just trying to think of what would make
me ever get up halfway through the day and leave
early without waiting.
Speaker 4 (33:23):
And it would happen to someone saying like the N word.
Speaker 7 (33:26):
Yeah, racism, inappropriate touching.
Speaker 4 (33:31):
I don't mind that.
Speaker 5 (33:32):
Give me some no, yeah, different for girls, Uh yeah,
racism and I Semitism, stuff like yeah that stuff.
Speaker 4 (33:43):
I would just be like, we're not the same. I
have to go gob.
Speaker 7 (33:47):
Serve time for murdering mine.
Speaker 5 (33:50):
Well, yeah, well that's a whole different. That's on you
for not googling that. You gotta google some of that stuff. Okay,
thank you, Morgan, never date him again?
Speaker 4 (33:56):
Okay, yeah, okay, lobby bone show car up today.
Speaker 8 (34:01):
This story comes us from Miami, Florida. A guy owns
a car dealership, sells a car to a dude. Six
months later, he misses one payment. Car dealership owners like,
I gotta go get that car, finds him at a
stop light, comes up, bangs on his window, flashes a gun, says,
give me the keys set the car.
Speaker 5 (34:21):
Jacked him at the stoplight. Wow, yeah, that's extra repo.
I don't know what the rules are on repo if
I don't think it's one payment. We miss a lot
of payments growing up. Did he buy it, like not
under contract? Was it verbal contract? No?
Speaker 8 (34:33):
No, it was a contract.
Speaker 7 (34:34):
Oh but I'm definitely picturing is one of those places
on the side of the road that doesn't even look
like a car dealership, but it has a bunch of cars.
Speaker 5 (34:40):
It's just like we agree.
Speaker 8 (34:40):
But then if you yeah, Amy, you're exactly right. And
the car dealership owner has been sentenced to eight years
in prison for carjacking.
Speaker 5 (34:47):
Wow, so you have to do it at night when
no one's looking with a tow truck, right, that's crazy. Okay,
I'm lunchboxed at your bonehead story of the day, Eddie,
what happened?
Speaker 1 (34:59):
I almost lost to kids?
Speaker 5 (35:00):
I mean you lost him like to heaven, like lost
him like they almost died. Dude, that's just a funny
way to say that. Okay, go ahead.
Speaker 11 (35:08):
So I've never done this before, but my seventeen year
old obviously he drives, he has a license, and my
other son had practice. So I said, hey, will you
go pick up our other son please to practice?
Speaker 1 (35:19):
Yeah, no problem.
Speaker 11 (35:19):
He gets in his car, he leaves, and like twenty
minutes later, I get a FaceTime and he's like, dad, Dad,
Oh my goodness, I can't see out of my car.
Speaker 4 (35:29):
The defrost isn't working.
Speaker 5 (35:31):
People are honking at me.
Speaker 1 (35:32):
I'm in someone's yard.
Speaker 11 (35:34):
And then my other son, who's eleven years old, is
crying in the back Seat's.
Speaker 4 (35:37):
Like, yeah, they're gonna shoot us. We're in se shit.
Speaker 5 (35:40):
Yeah. He thinks like the yard, yeah.
Speaker 11 (35:42):
Yeah, he thinks the neighbors or someone's gonna come out
of the house and what are you doing in our yard?
And so apparently he couldn't work the defrost button and
the whole windows got fogged. Up and he couldn't see anything,
and he said that they almost died, they almost got
hit by four cars until he ditched it and went
into someone's yard.
Speaker 1 (35:58):
Oh so.
Speaker 5 (36:01):
You put this blame on yourself at.
Speaker 11 (36:03):
All kind of because, like I guess, I've never taught
him about the defrost button. But I just assume, like
you were, you drive, this is your car, this is
how you roll the windows down, this is how you
lock the doors. This is the defrost button. And I
just never taught them about defrost.
Speaker 5 (36:21):
You could also teach Amie. I mean, she's driven to work.
We're like a tiny hole and we've all probably not
let our car fully defrost, which is not safe. And
you're like looking through a small selection.
Speaker 7 (36:38):
Mine was ice, not just yeah yeah, yeah, yeah yeah,
it's like ice.
Speaker 5 (36:43):
Yeah. So wait, how far were they in the yard?
Speaker 11 (36:46):
He said that they started on a driveway, but since
he couldn't see, he felt that it got rough and
then they just ended up in the front yard.
Speaker 1 (36:52):
Wow.
Speaker 5 (36:53):
And then what did you do to help them out
of the situation?
Speaker 1 (36:55):
I said, stay right there.
Speaker 11 (36:56):
I will go meet you and figure it out.
Speaker 5 (36:59):
And how deep are they in the yard when you
got there?
Speaker 11 (37:01):
I didn't get there because they called me back and said,
you know what, Dad, we figured out there's a little
button here that's got little wavy things on it, and
that just fixed everything. Like, yeah, that's called a defrost button.
Speaker 1 (37:09):
That's what you should have hit to begin with.
Speaker 5 (37:11):
All seriousness, if there are like people are honking and
they're pulling, they're pulling a yard. You almost lost two
kids to heaven.
Speaker 11 (37:16):
Scary man, scary And I was talking to Amy too
earlier about like, you know, oh, what if, like you know,
I have to go pick up all my kids from school,
but I can't do it?
Speaker 1 (37:24):
Do I send my son?
Speaker 5 (37:25):
Because yeah, like this is a good lesson. I wouldn't
keep him from doing that because of this.
Speaker 7 (37:29):
No, he was like, he doesn't want to put all
of his kids in the same car with the oldest
son because then he loses he could lose them all.
Speaker 5 (37:37):
I'm saying, like president, vice president, they don't travel around.
Speaker 1 (37:40):
Yeah, because I almost lost two right there?
Speaker 5 (37:43):
What if I lost all four and almost lose two?
But that was an unfortunate situation that could have resulted
in something terrible happening. A learning think of all the
times as kids, teenagers we did something or we were
unknowledgeable about something and we almost had something like this happen. Yeah, five, six, seven,
eight times, and we learned from it and became mid
(38:03):
level adults.
Speaker 11 (38:04):
Well now my eleven year old's like, I'm not driving
ever ever.
Speaker 5 (38:08):
Traumas. All right, We're done, Thank you guys. We will
see you guys on Monday. Have a great weekend. Goodbye everybody.
Speaker 4 (38:15):
