Speaker 1 (00:01):
From Los Angeles, pH Prank and one and only famous
Perez Perez Hilton. Hey, everybody, welcome to the php A booker.
He's Perez. How are you?
Speaker 2 (00:21):
I am? Well, we're gonna be talking, of course, Coachella craziness.
That's a Meghan Markle, the Katy Perry and Gail King
Lift Off to Space and more. But first, how are you?
Speaker 1 (00:36):
I'm doing well? A weekend of Couchchella. I did watch
a lot of Coachella on the couch, so I can
I guess report on some of it. Outside of that,
I made some pasta yesterday. It was a pasta Sunday
and kind of an easy, breezy weekend.
Speaker 2 (00:49):
Good. I had a pretty good weekend. My friend kat Graham,
who many people might know from the Vampire Diaries, was
visiting Vegas, so we went out to dinner, and then
it took her to go see Dida on Tees, this
show which I always loved to take tourists too because
it's so good. And then I went to this thing
called the Cheer Choice Awards on Sunday and I presented
(01:09):
an award. And it was a good weekend. I kind
of like a more relaxing weekend now, But it's good
to be busy too.
Speaker 1 (01:17):
Yeah.
Speaker 2 (01:18):
So yeah, but I did catch some Coachella as well.
We'll get to that in a second, but let's just
get this out of the way, since it literally just happened.
Oh my god, all this hype around the first all
female crew to space, Katie Perry, Gail King, Lauren Sanchez,
and more. And it's so funny because I had all
these thoughts about it before the actual flight, and then afterwards,
(01:42):
I'm like, how long were they fucking up for? I
think they were like in space for like two minutes
or something.
Speaker 1 (01:47):
I was gonna say two minutes I think is what
it was.
Speaker 2 (01:50):
Was it really two minutes?
Speaker 1 (01:51):
It's not long. Yeah, it's very short.
Speaker 2 (01:53):
I believe that's nothing. But even still, I don't think
I would do it. Would you do it?
Speaker 1 (01:59):
I don't think I would do it either. I'm not
really that interested in it, and there's no real purpose
and there's too much at stake if something went wrong,
like life, there's really no point.
Speaker 2 (02:09):
I mean, I do know that for future generations I'm
talking about like millions of years from now, will be
extinct by then. No, we need this to not be extinct.
That's what I'm.
Speaker 1 (02:21):
Saying, E stink, something will wipe us off this planet
before we get to Mars or any other planet. I mean,
there's no atmosphere on Mars. Where are we gonna go?
Speaker 2 (02:28):
Where we go, we'd have to build it.
Speaker 1 (02:30):
We can't build an atmosphere. It's a giant wisdom you.
Speaker 2 (02:33):
No, we'd have to build like a pressurized thing, or.
Speaker 1 (02:36):
We're gonna build that there when we have no atmosphere
to begin with.
Speaker 2 (02:40):
I obviously did not pay attention that much, maybe in
science class when I was in high school or middle school,
but as an adult, I took my kids to the
planetarium in Miami on a visit there, and they said,
this planet, and it has nothing to do with climate
change or anything. It will either implode or explode a
few million years from now.
Speaker 1 (03:01):
Well, it's not so much the planets, it's our sun.
Our star will be extinguished it someday.
Speaker 2 (03:07):
Maybe that's what it will burn out.
Speaker 1 (03:08):
Yeah, I don't think our planet's going anywhere. I mean,
our planet's been here for millions and millions of years,
and the question is how long does the sun go? Anyways,
the whole idea is dumb, I would say, man we've
got about three to four generations. Like, no, we're going
to have robbed this planet. So where are we going
to get all the fuel once we suck all the
(03:29):
fuel out of the ground. What's the alternative?
Speaker 2 (03:31):
We don't have it electric vehicles.
Speaker 1 (03:33):
So you think electric vehicles are gonna save us? If
solar panels would save us, we'd have solar panels on everything.
That's not the answer either. They got to come up
with something. Even if they took the windmills and all
the combines and whatever, it would take two lifetimes to
get that energy from there to us. Like, they haven't
even started. We're screwed as a planet. I think a
(03:54):
lot of people know that. They're like, let the future
generations figure it out. Maybe they will, Maybe they'll come
up with some nuclear thing that'll power the planet safely.
I don't have a lot of faith in man, to
be honest with you, I do.
Speaker 2 (04:05):
I mean, it's amazing all the progress and technology and
things we've been able to accomplish just since I've been alive.
Speaker 1 (04:11):
I believe in science absolutely, but I don't believe in man. Whereas, like,
if you look at what's happening with the unwinding of
the EPA and all of the protections that we've put
in place. That's happening because you know, they want to
take care of business. They don't want to take care
of people in our water, and man will screw us.
I'm really more worried about Man. I think the planet's
(04:33):
going to be just fine. I think the planet's going
to be here for a long fucking time with no
men on it.
Speaker 2 (04:38):
Well, I understand Katie going up in space. She talked
about how she's always dreamt of that, but Gail seemed terrified.
I don't really know why she did it, but I
just wouldn't especially because and it has nothing to do
with it, was it being an all female crew. I
didn't like the ratio. There were six people on that capsule,
(04:59):
and only two of them were actual trained NASSA people.
Speaker 1 (05:04):
Okay, but when you go up in a plane there's
only two people in the cockpit, you know what I mean,
it's the same ratio.
Speaker 2 (05:10):
I don't know. I guess I guess that's a good plant.
Speaker 1 (05:12):
It all seems like a giant waste of time to
be But I'm with Olivia mont on this one, like
what a waste of our resources? But you know, knock
yourself out.
Speaker 2 (05:19):
Well, I'm glad they came back. Everything was safe, not
necessarily smooth. The landing was a little I mean, I
think they're all like that. The landings are a little rough.
Oprah was there and cheering on her bestie Gale, and
congrats to them. All right, the big story Cochella, But
even before anybody performed, there was all this drama with
(05:44):
major unorganization, disorganization, the camping component of it all. But
what's weird is apparently this has never happened before, and
this is the first year where people got there and
they had to wait for like twelve hours.
Speaker 1 (05:59):
Some people there were lines backed up. We were hearing
from people as early as Thursday that were heading down.
They were like, hey, we've been sitting here for six hours.
Apparently there were no workers, There was nobody telling anybody
where to go, and no one was being able to
be checked in, and it just sounded like a debacle.
Speaker 2 (06:16):
How could this happen for the first time now after
all of those years doing it.
Speaker 1 (06:19):
Well, I think they did something new this year with
their tenting and they kind of like the Fire Festival
where they they had high luxury tents oh, and food
and such in the camping area. And I don't know
if that backed up the regular check ins, but I
was seeing video where people were like they got in
(06:39):
and they were waiting on instructions and they just said
fuck it and just put their tents down and just
said we're posted up right here. We're not waiting for
anybody any longer. I don't know what happened. I don't
know what the what the failure and organization was, but clearly,
I mean it was hours and hours people were waiting.
Speaker 2 (06:56):
No I know, and they couldn't go to the bathroom,
so people had like them do it by the side
of their car, like women, you know, like that's a
little bit harder for women than men.
Speaker 1 (07:05):
Well, they really made it like camping, real camping.
Speaker 2 (07:08):
Well, thankfully, that seems to have been the only real hiccup.
Everything else seemed relatively smooth.
Speaker 1 (07:15):
Well, Green Day did a launch some pyro into a
palm tree and that caught on fire. That was pretty cool.
Speaker 2 (07:21):
I saw that was that at Coachella.
Speaker 1 (07:23):
There's like a VIP section to the stage right and
it launched that way and it went right into one
of those big palm I.
Speaker 2 (07:30):
Just assumed that it was at one of those parties,
because like, I didn't think that that would happen at Coachella.
Speaker 1 (07:35):
No, No, it was from their Pyro.
Speaker 2 (07:37):
Wow, it went right.
Speaker 1 (07:38):
Over to the VIP section.
Speaker 2 (07:39):
They didn't have to cut their sets short or anything
like that.
Speaker 1 (07:42):
No, that was at the very end, I guess, and
they put it out. It was just one tree, but
things can go up that quickly. And luckily it wasn't
a windy night. You know, if it was one of
those classic Coachella windy nights, they probably wouldn't have launched fireworks,
to be honest with you, but things like that can
spread easily. I'm surprised that Pyro's even allowed in California anymore. Yeah,
I mean the whole idea of fireworks in this state
(08:04):
is like, haven't we seen enough?
Speaker 2 (08:06):
Yeah? Good point, good point. Well, Lady Gaga, Well, actually,
before Lady Gaga, Benson Boone performed. Actually he released a
new song before he performed, and oh, I think it's
up on streaming. He posted it on social mystical magical.
I really like it is just another B song though
it's like, fuck, I want this guy to have like that.
(08:27):
Beautiful things was like a monster hit.
Speaker 1 (08:30):
It's hard when you have a song so big to
keep up with a juggernaut. That's a juggernaut of a song.
Speaker 2 (08:36):
But that's like a two year old song.
Speaker 1 (08:37):
Now, true, you're right. I keep wondering acts like him.
I don't want him to be more looks. So are
you gonna get exactly?
Speaker 2 (08:44):
I don't want him to be a one hit wonder.
He's so talented, he's great, live, incredible, but he doesn't
have the songs. I mean, the songs aren't bad, the
Mystical Magical song, the other one that was the first
single off this new album. But he was great, and actually,
you know what his blame.
Speaker 1 (09:01):
You can't blame a label for lack of hits. It's
not the label's job.
Speaker 2 (09:05):
I think. So the thing that the label should have said,
we're not going to release this, it's not a hit.
Speaker 1 (09:09):
Oh, I see what you're saying.
Speaker 2 (09:10):
Yeah, they need it to A and R. But it's
so different now I know the artist has more power.
Speaker 1 (09:15):
They do, and you know, especially with these new deals,
and I think that's a bad thing because some of
these label people are seasoned in veterans and they know
a fucking hit the second they hear it. Yeah, and
that's what an R is. I mean, that's what an
R is all about. But they really cut out that
middleman now so they could take more money or have
more control over their careers. But it is a weird,
(09:38):
as you're saying, it's kind of a weird catch twenty
two because you need those people. And I don't know
which label he's on, but oh he's on Atlantic. I mean,
they don't even have any good ears left, Like Interscope
had great ears. The people that were A and R
Interscope for years, and the people that were in charge
of radio, they just got it all those departments and
now you have people that are just kind of doing
(10:00):
the job and it's very different today.
Speaker 2 (10:03):
Anyways, he's talented, very it's insane. I'm rooting for him
and I just want him to have I don't want
him to be a one hit wonder. I want him
to have multiple hits.
Speaker 1 (10:12):
Him coming out there with Brian May was fucking awesome.
I'm sure no kids there knew who that was.
Speaker 2 (10:16):
They did it, They did it.
Speaker 1 (10:18):
I thought that was fantastic. Yeah, it's the same, and
we'll get the Green Day set eventually, but it's the
same with Green day, they're playing Longview, but I'm like
thinking about it, I'm like, oh my god, Longview came
out in like nineteen ninety two or one. None of
these kids, forget about know it. They weren't even alive
when the song came out thirty plus years ago. So
(10:38):
it'd be like this, if you and I were kids
in the eighties. Let's say it's pick a year, nineteen
eighty six. Would we have ever listened to a song
from nineteen fifty six? No, I didn't listen to music
from nineteen seventy six. In nineteen eighty six, it was
all about moving forward and what was tomorrow? And we
had great pop music though there was no need to.
(10:59):
We had a trove of awesome music constantly coming out.
But it's weird with some of these oldies acts in
their song.
Speaker 2 (11:05):
But I love the oldies acts, and they also speaking
of old these acts. Then they brought out Missy Elliott
and she was I loved it. Oh my god, Missy
was so good.
Speaker 1 (11:13):
I didn't see a second of her set. I missed that.
Speaker 2 (11:15):
I loved it. She was amazing. And then the big
headliner Friday night was Lady Gaga and I'm so surprised
that a lot of the response for Lady Gaga's Coachella
performance was negative.
Speaker 1 (11:28):
I have read nothing but that was on the level
of Beyonce.
Speaker 2 (11:31):
Well maybe not the media, but I'm talking about general
pop people.
Speaker 1 (11:35):
On social not seeing that anywhere.
Speaker 2 (11:37):
I've seen so many people commenting about how it was
satanic and demonic.
Speaker 1 (11:41):
Oh, that's just the stupid Internet.
Speaker 2 (11:43):
I don't think it's stupid people. I think it's a
lot of people that believe it. Oh. I like her voice,
but that you know, that was unnecessary boo.
Speaker 1 (11:50):
That was like watching art unfold. That was like the
greatest play that had many acts, and the acts were
indicative of those albums and those eras, and you can
dissect every piece of clothing she had on was a
callback to something else. I mean, that was like, that's
the difference between her and a Taylor Swift. Taylor Swift
is the greatest songwriter, does a good show up there,
(12:13):
standing and whatever, but when it comes to that art,
that like making art like Beyonce that kind of level
what she did at Coachella, to me, that's one of
the greatest performances. It's it's in the top two or
three greatest performances ever of Coachella. She was phenomenal. And
I was there when she I guess she filled in
for Beyond. Is that what Beyonce was pregnant and she
had to back out? Was that the reason why?
Speaker 2 (12:34):
Yeah?
Speaker 1 (12:34):
Yeah, yeah, so I was at that one.
Speaker 2 (12:36):
Yeah, but she didn't have much time, right.
Speaker 1 (12:38):
She had no time, and she just kind of went
out there like a rock star, and I thought that
was impressive. And like, watching this one, I got to
feel like in her mind she's always been like, shit,
I want to do this the right way, you know
what I mean, Like I want to spend the lute
to do a real performance, a real piece of art.
And I'm glad she did. I loved it.
Speaker 2 (12:58):
I love that she was mindful of both the audience
there and the audience watching. Also, I don't think Charlie
XCX was. I think Charlie just cared about the audience
at Coachella, which is fine. They loved it, you know,
But that's her thing though.
Speaker 1 (13:16):
I mean, she doesn't really seem to embrace the pomp
and circumstance of things. She goes out there kind of
like a rock star.
Speaker 2 (13:23):
I get that. But my point is Gaga created a
whole new show for Coachella. Charlie's been doing this basically
the same exact thing on tour.
Speaker 1 (13:32):
Well, Charlie's not a headliner either.
Speaker 2 (13:34):
Oh that's Jaga is good point?
Speaker 1 (13:35):
Different amounts of money or given to you good point?
Speaker 2 (13:38):
Good point.
Speaker 1 (13:38):
Charlie at least brought out Lord, brought out Billie Eilish
for the hottest remix of the year. She gives her
all out there. I just can't believe how much I
like that girl.
Speaker 2 (13:46):
Now, if I was there, I would have enjoyed it.
I was just talking about like visually, I'm like, okay,
I've seen this, and I have not seen the tour,
the Brat tour, I haven't seen any of the show,
so to experience it live, I would have loved that.
But in terms of I'm just like a viewer from home,
That's all I'm talking about.
Speaker 1 (14:02):
I feel you. I feel you when I go back,
and I think of like even Boom Clap, like when
that came out. If you would have told me when
that song came out, or anytime in between then and now,
that she would turn into this whole like Brat summer
thing and have this fan base that she's created I
don't know if i'd have believed you. She is this impressive.
(14:23):
I don't want to say underground thing, because she's far
beyond the underground at this point. But she's really done
a great job of just making herself a rock star,
pop star. I'm really astounded by her progress and everything
she's done. She's so confident up there too. I like
her a lot.
Speaker 2 (14:40):
I love her. I mean I had her perform for
my website. I had to perform for my website. I
had her perform at one of my south By south
West parties, like over a decade ago. Yeah, I feel
like I should say more about Gaga. I thought it
was better than Beyonce. Just my personal opinion. I think
it was the best thing she's ever done. And I've
seen everything she's ever done. It was the best thing
she's ever done. I love how new it all was, right,
(15:03):
like every single every song was built from scratch for
that performance, meaning she didn't use any old arrangements. She
didn't use any like think there was like on pro tools.
It was like all done just for Coachella, and just
the amount of work that that takes, even with choreography,
it was like almost all brand new original choreography just
(15:25):
for that performance. And what's so funny is like, you know,
people grow and evolve and mature, And at the beginning
of her career, when she and I were friends, for
like those first few tours, she was shockingly I still
couldn't believe how she would pull it off. She was
always like very diy and very like messy, sloppy, last minute,
like under rehearsed this. I guarantee you she was overrehearsed
(15:50):
like she could. I'm sure rehearsed and rehearsed, rehearsed, rehearsed,
and it paid off. It almost annoyed me. There was
like one little like it would have been like a
hundred out of a hundred, but instead it was like
ninety nine point nine out of one hundred, just like
one moment when she was talking and she clearly had
practiced what to say and like messed up a word
or something. But other than that, like it literally was
(16:12):
it seemed perfect, flawless, like amazing.
Speaker 1 (16:16):
I don't know if anyone in my mind will ever
be better than Beyonce. The first weekend, I mean, that was
mind blowing to me, But you're probably right. I mean
when you think of all the theater and the art
and the many different gear changes.
Speaker 2 (16:28):
Everything from like that, but also just like she used
the stage better than Beyonce, like the catwalk and the
bat stage and then going into the audience and then
walking back like it was all so masterful. I thought,
like I honestly, I can't even think of like a
better anything that's better than a tour any if there
her tours?
Speaker 1 (16:48):
Well, that was my next question. Did we just see
her tour?
Speaker 2 (16:50):
I don't think so. I think she'll do a brand
new tour.
Speaker 1 (16:53):
You think I think so. That's a lot of outfits
and costume and like you said, rehearsal all for one,
well two weekends. I guess.
Speaker 2 (17:02):
I mean, maybe it'll be her tour.
Speaker 1 (17:04):
I'm kind of thinking it's going to be the tour.
I think we just got a ticket to it. That
was it.
Speaker 2 (17:07):
I don't think so. I think she's gonna do a
brand new tour or maybe it'll be a hybrid. Fun
little surprise was when the Go Gos brought up a
Billy Joe from Green Day to perform.
Speaker 1 (17:18):
I was watching that live.
Speaker 2 (17:19):
Yeah, I did not get to see Green Day's set,
but I'm sure they were fabulous, and then it was
Charlie who was the main headliner on Saturday, Travis Scott.
Oh god, I didn't watch a single thing from that.
How was me neither?
Speaker 1 (17:29):
I fell asleep. He didn't go on till like midnight.
Speaker 2 (17:31):
And then Sunday it was Post Malone, but I didn't
see it.
Speaker 1 (17:34):
I didn't see posts last night. I was gonna tune in,
but I was watching a new Apple. I was watching
the new John hamm Olivia mon Funny. I already mentioned
her once. I was watching the first episode of that show,
which was so far pretty good.
Speaker 2 (17:47):
Bieber did go to Coachella. Thus far, no reports of
any drama or craziness, so that's good.
Speaker 1 (17:55):
I just saw a video of him dancing around. Looked
like they were having a good time being famous.
Speaker 2 (17:58):
What's interesting is Kylie Jenner was there with her boyfriend
Timothy Schallomet And I don't know if you think she
would have stayed for Travis Scott, because I did see
video of her at the Charlie set, which was just before,
you know, that same night. If you're Kylie Jenner, do
you stay for your baby daddy's set and with your
(18:20):
new boyfriend, or do you leave for that.
Speaker 1 (18:23):
I would stay. I guess I didn't think of that.
I wouldn't have thought of that. But I think they're
all adults at this point. I think Timothy Shalla May's
probably met the guy fifty times at this point because
of the kid in the mix, and I gotta think
everybody plays along and is cool.
Speaker 2 (18:36):
I don't think this is a bad thing. But there
are some people also making like a big to do
over the fact that Travis Scott was there performing and
Kylie was there, and that means that the nanny or
some family member was taking care of their kids, because right,
they're both there, but Kylie was there with Timothy Shallo
May just having fun and Travis Scott was working. Parents
(18:59):
can go have fun to Oh yeah, I was waiting
for the hook. I think some people were just criticizing that,
oh both parents. People were saying Kylie should have just
stayed home to take care of the kids.
Speaker 1 (19:08):
They have other family Grandma or auntie, and they may
even have a nanny that they like, and it's not
really a big deal.
Speaker 2 (19:16):
Yeah, Like I said, I don't think it's a big deal,
but I definitely saw that coming across a couple times. Also,
Weezer did end up performing after all the drama with
the bassist's wife, and there's new information on that story.
Did we talk about it on the pod on the Patriots?
Speaker 1 (19:33):
We didn't talk about the new information.
Speaker 2 (19:35):
No, there is new information, which I guess I'm not
a conspiracy theorist. But maybe they talked to a neighbor
and tried to line up some alibis. I don't know,
but a neighbor gave an interview. This neighbor did not
want to name themselves, and the neighbor claims that she
(19:55):
was acting in self defense, that she thought the guy
that had a that had you know, done the hit
and run, was in her backyard, and that she did
not see the police, and that the police, allegedly, she
claimed this neighbor claims to have witnessed it, the police
did not identify themselves as police allegedly. I find that
(20:18):
hard to believe, especially because I'm sure there's body camera footage, right.
Speaker 1 (20:23):
Yeah, I can a yes, believe it. I've been a
part of something like that before where the police didn't
announce themselves and the whole thing went down. I can
believe that. It just depends on how long this took
to unfold. If this was boom boom, boom bom bom
boom boom, and everything played out in thirty seconds, I
totally believe that there's a gunman in your neighborhood. You
(20:43):
got kids around, I think your first instinct may be
to protect whomever whatever. If it was like thirty seconds now,
if this was a standoff and they're like, ma'am, put
the gun down. Where the police and they went back
and forth and we're talking, let's just say over a minute,
put down the gun.
Speaker 2 (21:03):
But maybe she shot first.
Speaker 1 (21:04):
It's just sort of you got to kind of figure
out what the timeline was. But look for her just
to run out and just start shooting. That seems odd
to me too. Yeah, but you know, you're fearful, maybe
you're in a little bit of shock. The whole thing's
wild to me.
Speaker 2 (21:19):
I am ready for that body camera footage to be released.
Do you think that Coachella streaming on YouTube is a
disservice to the festival?
Speaker 1 (21:30):
No, because I think the people that are gonna go
are gonna go, you know, And I think it's cool
that the branding is out there and the rest of
the world gets to see.
Speaker 2 (21:39):
You don't think more people would go if it wasn't
live streamed.
Speaker 1 (21:42):
Nah. I think if you're gonna go, you're gonna go.
Not everyone lives in California, you know what I mean?
Or Vegas, we're close to it. If you're on the
East Coast, I mean it's a late watch for you
if you're on these coast.
Speaker 2 (21:51):
I thought about that too, Yeah, yeah, so late jeez Luis.
Speaker 1 (21:54):
Yeah, so I don't know it. Look it's it's sold out.
Speaker 2 (21:58):
So yeah. Well, Big development over in the UK or
Jojo s is okay. But Mickey Rourke has been kicked
out of the Celebrity Big Brother House. He got into
another disagreement with the housemate, not physical, but Big Brother
says he used threatening language. Not exactly a surprise there.
(22:18):
He has had domestic violence charges against him in the Bass.
They were dropped, so I got to be fair. But
even he himself said afterwards, with the incident last week
with Jojo where he said some things that many people
viewed as homophobic, that he has a short fuse, well yeah,
it landed him straight out of the house. Speaking of
(22:39):
British things, the wife of Prince Harry has upset a
lot of people you know what, I think part of
me is starting. I've always been agnostic with Megan Markle.
I don't like her. I don't dislike her either, but
the fact that people keep hating on her with such
venom makes me almost like her. Does that make sense?
Speaker 1 (23:00):
It does, Yeah, it does, because you feel like the
whole world is against somebody, and at some point it
becomes too much, yes, and you're like, hey, this person
is a pain in the ascid, annoying, but they don't
deserve this kind of a trick exactly. That's what I
understand that I get that.
Speaker 2 (23:15):
The latest thing that's upset so many people is she
was in New York recently and she did not want
a repeat of what happened the last time she was
in New York, where she and Prince Harry had a
scary run in with paparazzi, where they claimed that there
was an almost catastrophic event, which the Mayor of New
York cast doubt over. He did not believe Prince Harry.
(23:39):
Remember this, He did not believe Prince Harry and Megan
market I.
Speaker 1 (23:41):
Don't believe them either. I think they're a little dramatic.
Speaker 2 (23:43):
Yeah, they were saying there was like a high speed
chase all throughout New York City for two hours allegedly
bulls that's what they claimed. Okay, But now, in order
to avoid that from happening again, Megan Markle hired like
the most intense securecurity detail, like multiple.
Speaker 1 (24:02):
Bodyguards, like anybody's chasing her dead.
Speaker 2 (24:05):
Let me tell you no, No, it would be like this.
Speaker 1 (24:06):
If she was at a restaurant like Nobu, and she
was there and somebody said, you know, Megan Marple was there,
I would do one of these on look over goa huh.
Then I'd go right back to my rock shrimp tempora
in the ponzu sauce with the creamy spicy on the side,
you know what I mean. I wouldn't really put a
lot of thought into it.
Speaker 2 (24:22):
She had I don't know the exact amount of bodyguards,
but she had she had bodyguards. She had off duty
NYPD officers, and she also had former Secret Service agents
as well. Plus they also had not one but four cars,
(24:43):
three SUVs and an unmarked police vehicle. And she was
in one of the SUVs and the other two were decoys.
And it's like whatever, like it do? I think it's excessive, sure,
but if it makes her safer and feel safe. It
definitely did make her safer. If you have that much
safety security, you're gonna be safer. And it definitely made
(25:04):
her feel safer. So I don't give a fuck, do you.
But there's no need to like be so toxic over
this decision of hers. It doesn't hurt anybody else.
Speaker 1 (25:13):
Okay, let me say this. If it did clog traffic
up at any point for her getting out and them
stopping traffic and this and that, then I'm on the
people's side. You know, these convoys when you got four
or five cars and you got police led and whatever,
they're taking your time. So it just depends on what
it is, like how much the fuss affects other people,
(25:34):
and if it even affects other people one percent, then
I'm on the people side because you're nobody. You're literally nobody.
No one's chasing you, no one cares about you.
Speaker 2 (25:43):
Yeah, I do agree with that. And actually, I mean,
I don't know if this is true, but some of
the paparazzis say that they were running red lights. Ken
an off duty police officer run and red lights.
Speaker 1 (25:53):
You have to abide by the rules unless you have
actual police leading you through lights with actual police cars
and the blessing of the city to do so. Yes,
then it's fine. You can do that and it You know. Look,
if Taylor Swift comes to town, she's got a police
escort taking her from A to B when on tour,
she would never do that off tour because she would
realize how pukish that is. That's the difference between Megan
(26:16):
Marple and Taylor Swift.
Speaker 2 (26:17):
Yeah, well, they actually contrasted Taylor. They say that she
normally just has one security car. Yeah, or just one car.
Speaker 1 (26:25):
Because you don't need it. Megan Marple doesn't need this either.
That's why people are hating on it, because I'm telling you,
this got in the way of regular people.
Speaker 2 (26:32):
All right, Well it made her safer, though, Who gives
a shit.
Speaker 1 (26:35):
She could walk down Fifth Avenue and she'd be safe. No,
one gives a shit.
Speaker 2 (26:38):
I'm not mad at her.
Speaker 1 (26:40):
She really thinks she's some sort of princess. She thinks
she's Taylor Swift. It's like you are Taylor Swift's like
best friend at best. No, because that's Blake Lively. Blake
Lively actually garners more attention than Megan Marple.
Speaker 2 (26:53):
No, I would say Megan Markle does get out of
here for what.
Speaker 1 (26:56):
People in America do not care about Megan Markle.
Speaker 2 (26:59):
They don't I think they do.
Speaker 1 (27:01):
No one cares they do.
Speaker 2 (27:02):
I think they do.
Speaker 1 (27:03):
No, they don't Blake Lively people care about at this point.
They just want to hounder and see her.
Speaker 2 (27:08):
I do. I still think people care about Megan Markle.
Speaker 1 (27:10):
People care to hate on her, that's it. People are
annoyed by her. Well, England's the size of Delaware.
Speaker 2 (27:16):
All right. God, I've just been so sad recently. Not
about I'm not afraid of death. It's how quickly time
goes is what makes me sad. I almost. It's that
expression the days are long, but the years are short.
And Eric Dane, the actor that first got a lot
of prominence for playing McSteamy on Grey's Anatomy, and more
(27:40):
recently he was in Euphoria. Eric Dane announced that he
was diagnosed with ALS and that's such a terrible disease
and most people don't live longer than three to five
years after being diagnosed with ALS. And he's just I
think fifty two, fifty two, fifty three, I forget. But
it was like in his very early fifty.
Speaker 1 (28:00):
Having to go through your days afterwards, Like I think
a Shannon Doherty.
Speaker 2 (28:04):
That's different because at least with cancer, I'd be like, well,
statistically I might have a chance, But with als, the
odds are so slim to none. God, that must be
like a heart. And then it's like the last year
or two of their lives must be even harder because
you lose the ability to speak, to walk and everything,
but your brain still works and it's like you can't. Oh, God, awful.
(28:28):
So sending positive vibes to him, Miley Cyrus's dad, This
is very nice. Miley's dad extended an olive branch to
both of his daughters after being estranged from both of them.
You know, he's had a bit of a trying year,
plus he got a divorce. His wife x now was
(28:49):
accusing him of, you know, being awful and abusive, and
his son Miley and Noah Cyrus's brother alleged she inferring
that Billy Ray has not been sober and this and that.
So both Miley and her sister Noah released new music recently,
and Billy Ray Cyrus took to social media to congratulate
(29:12):
them both and say that he was proud, so that
was nice. And also they're just a hot mess of
a family. The mom was estranged from Noah Cyrus as well.
Noah was a strange from everybody except for like her
other brother for a while. But Noah and her mother
Tish recently, for the first time in a while, posted
each other on social media and it seems like things
(29:34):
are better between the two of them, So I'm very
happy about that.
Speaker 1 (29:38):
By the way, I take umbrage with your review of
Ariana Grande's work that Twilight Zone songs a smash. Oh
my god, it's a huge you have ears of brick.
I mean, that's such a great song. Yes, it's a
great song.
Speaker 2 (29:52):
I have to listen to it again.
Speaker 1 (29:53):
I really think it's of today, Like it really sounds
like what young female pop stars are making. And I
just find this to be the best of that lump
of music of what it sounds like today.
Speaker 2 (30:06):
I disagree, but hey whatever. Also, Miley's new song, I
forget the exact number, but it debuted on the Billboard
Hot one hundred this week in the fifties. Not a
good look. I would say it's called End of the World,
their official single.
Speaker 1 (30:22):
It may work its way up if I doubt it
legs yeah, because she's not gonna work it, nor is
anyone going to work it. I think it's more of
they just put things out because she doesn't give a shit.
Speaker 2 (30:32):
Yeah, she didn't do any promo for it. A lot
of drama with The Drew Barrymore Show. I saw this
going viral. This one social media influencer upset The Drew
Barrymore Show reached out to her to use one of
her videos on the show, and when they asked for
a licensing fee, they say, oh, we don't have budget
(30:53):
to pay for these videos, and the creator said no,
And I thought that was just so short sighted and dumb.
None of those shows pay for stuff.
Speaker 1 (31:01):
Oh you mean short sighted on the creator. Yeah, you're
one hundred percent right. I mean, it's just standard practice
that everyone uses everybody else's things, especially online, which you
intended on it being free in the first place. All
you need is credit. If you get credit to your point,
that's a good look you got somewhere, you know what
I mean. Hey, people might go check out your other
things now. Like you said, short sighted, gone, don't care.
(31:25):
The internet will continue to move on without you, all right.
Speaker 2 (31:28):
Some quick movie news and then we'll wrap it up.
That Minecraft movie is just done. Huge business. I can't
believe it. Eighty million this weekend, the second weekend.
Speaker 1 (31:39):
Second weekend, eighty plus million. It did like on one,
like forty or something last week.
Speaker 2 (31:44):
More than that, I think was it.
Speaker 1 (31:46):
You're probably right. I think it was like one sixty
eight or something like that. I don't know anything about
any of that stim I just don't. I didn't play.
I don't know what the game is. But you're right,
it's just next level. People eat that shit up.
Speaker 2 (31:59):
And then there's this new trend of like dumb young men,
kids teenage young dumb teenagers and then their twenties like
creating a ruckus during the movie and videotaping themselves the theater,
like being dipshits so fucking annoying.
Speaker 1 (32:15):
Yeah, but you know what, when everybody's in on it,
I think that's kind of the expectation. You go thinking
slash hoping that it even happens in your movie theater.
But that's why I'll go to the theater anymore.
Speaker 2 (32:26):
So.
Speaker 1 (32:27):
Look the Taylor Swift shows, they all do the same thing.
They're all there singing together, and they're all in on
It is my point, and I kind of think these
Minecraft people are all in on it as well.
Speaker 2 (32:37):
Well. The Oscars are going to be introducing a stunts
category in twenty twenty eight. Great, just what we need
the Oscars to be longer.
Speaker 1 (32:44):
They should cut out a couple more categories. All they
need to do is just put two hours of it
on TV. Yeah, just pre tape it that day and
let me edit it. It'll be the greatest show when
I'm done with it. It'll be awesome two hours on
and gone, and people will actually want more.
Speaker 2 (32:57):
All right, Well, Warner Brothers has announced some interest. Actually
they're all fucking remakes or sequels. Warner Brothers has announced
they're doing a remake of the Bodyguard. There's another Beetlejuice movie,
another Matrix movie, another Gremlins movie, and another Goonies movie.
Very quickly, I came up with the best casting in
(33:18):
my mind for The Bodyguard. I want to be some twists.
It needs to be Kendrick Lamar as the musician, so
make the guy the lead. I still think it's important
to have a black actor or black personality, and then
the Bodyguard, make it a woman and make it Lisa
from Black Pink and it's like a super ninja like
(33:38):
Lucy lu and kill Bill. And then there's I.
Speaker 1 (33:41):
Love It And by the way, I watched her set,
but she was great. It is what it is. There's
nothing like crazy there to me. I'm watching the girl
from White Lotus performed because I don't know her music
or anything about her.
Speaker 2 (33:51):
There was another girl from Black Pink, Jenny, she also performs.
She was not good.
Speaker 1 (33:55):
That Jenny song. I hate to say I like it,
but I like it. What's it called, like I'm Jenny
or so Jenny or I hate that. I like it,
but it's pretty cool.
Speaker 2 (34:03):
I like all of their music. The Appatif from Rose,
I like all their.
Speaker 1 (34:06):
Song That's a great song. That's like a nursery rhyme. Yeah,
the pop music, but that's what pop music should be.
Speaker 2 (34:10):
Yeah, I like, I mean, I like all their music
all right. Patreon dot com slash perez Hilton. If you

Speaker 2 (34:42):

Speaker 1 (34:46):
Yeah, because we gave the We were telling people that
are eight hundred number. People would always said you couldn't
call from other countries. Not true, you can. You just
have to use the United States country code in front
of the eight hundred number, eight hundred sevent So just
find out what our country code is. Is it zero
zero or zero one? I don't know, it may be
different in different countries. I have no idea.
Speaker 2 (35:08):

Speaker 3 (35:18):
Whole paraff situation and that situation.
Speaker 1 (35:22):
Perez says that he thinks the underlying reason is good
tariff situation. Okay, I don't want to talk about tariffs.
If there's one word that I never want to hear again,
I think it's terrift. I really do, like I could.
I just couldn't care less if I never hear that
word again, Oh tariffs.
Speaker 2 (35:38):
I mean, I am an economic expert.
Speaker 1 (35:41):
I know it's true. He studied economics.
Speaker 2 (35:44):
Here we go, hey booker, for some caller, I am
from Genburg. My name is Justin. I just had to
call and tell a quick story to Perez because I
was blocked by Natalie Nunn. And it was because she
posted a picture from the Back Girls Club reunion with
you in it talking about her acne or something, and
(36:05):
I just laughed. I thought it was the funniest thing.
And yeah, she blocked me for it.
Speaker 1 (36:10):
Anyway.
Speaker 2 (36:11):
I just thought that was the funniest story. Oh no, yeah,
So anyways, love you guys. Oh so he just posted
it though she posted it, he says. Oh, then she
blocked him for finding it funny. Come on, it is funny. Oh.
