Speaker 1 (00:01):
The volume, the Bowl championship. That should always be the expectation.
Speaker 2 (00:14):
All right, man, at you go ahead.
Speaker 3 (00:16):
Welcome back to the Richard Sherman Podcast, and we got
one of my favorite guests on My Guy Big Place,
Slave of the Philadelphia Eagles headed to yet another Super Bowl.
Speaker 2 (00:27):
How you feeling, brother, man, I'm feeling dang good, man,
dang good. I ain't gonna lie to you, man. I
still had a shirt on last night.
Speaker 4 (00:33):
I had to take it off and I started sweating
my sleepy.
Speaker 3 (00:38):
We're that mass. Appreciate, enjoy these moments, man, you know
how hard they.
Speaker 2 (00:41):
Are to come by. Yeah, hard man, hard.
Speaker 3 (00:44):
Look, look, look, you know I love you to death,
and I don't want you to be mad at me.
Speaker 2 (00:48):
But I thought I thought d Q and them boys
was gonna pull it out. Yesterday. Hey, I saw you know,
you know, I appreciate that. I appreciate that. I'm like, okay, sir, okay,
you know, yeah, you know when they scored.
Speaker 3 (01:03):
The reason I picked him because the last time y'all played,
they scored twenty two and a fourth.
Speaker 2 (01:08):
You know what I mean?
Speaker 3 (01:08):
Them boys, the way they played against the goddamn Lions
and the Buccaneers, they hadn't turned the ball over. I
was like, hey, these boys hot as fish grease. Now, yeah,
but y'all had something else on y'all minds. Come on, man,
we already kne what time it was.
Speaker 4 (01:23):
We knew definitely the last game we played them, Man,
we had a lot of a lot of bad communication
in the back end. With all that, then we had
a penalty with twelve on the field, one of them,
I'm trying to run off the field. They scored on that,
So we knew it, like, hey, we do our job,
no penalties, clean game, It's not gonna be close.
Speaker 2 (01:42):
And it wasn't. It wasn't.
Speaker 3 (01:43):
I mean, you got Zach bond is playing at a
different level right now.
Speaker 2 (01:47):
Man, tell me about what changed for him.
Speaker 4 (01:50):
Man, it was crazy, right because in training camp, Man,
he was already just you know, we had Devin White.
Speaker 2 (01:55):
Devin White was a great linebacker too as well.
Speaker 4 (01:57):
But uh, you know, so there's this road taking now
and then one thing about that Barnes is.
Speaker 2 (02:00):
That he pay attention to details.
Speaker 4 (02:03):
He goes do it what the coach did ask him
to do, and do it at a high level and
the best of his ability, and his best his ability
doesn't show that he's an All Pro linebacker right now
playing at a high, high level. Man, Zach Barnes came
a long way because a guy that was on the
setting the edges as a d N who went to
linebacker tomorrow, dropping back and coverage is catching pigs, running sideline,
the sideline, making plays, punching the ball out like he
(02:24):
did last night.
Speaker 2 (02:25):
Like he makes hell of plays. Yeah, I mean, he
All Pro this year, right.
Speaker 4 (02:31):
He's crazy good man. He's been a blessing to our
defense man. Him and Dean Man had been doing the
thing at that linebacker position.
Speaker 2 (02:38):
No question.
Speaker 3 (02:39):
I mean, and it sucks that y'all lost to Kobe,
But that boy Burks is you know what you.
Speaker 4 (02:46):
Know, Hey, it's all about details, man, And it just
really reminds me of like a lot of guys that
just buying into what coach want us to do, and
they do it and do it at the best of
their ability.
Speaker 2 (02:57):
Man.
Speaker 4 (02:57):
All they wanted to do is to check your box.
Don't worry about nobody else, boss, check out of us.
Speaker 3 (03:01):
And I know you then had a lot of influence.
I know how you are with these young dbs, y'all,
young corners, young queen y'all.
Speaker 2 (03:07):
Hey, yeah, Cooper de Degen, he playing.
Speaker 4 (03:10):
Now come on now, hey them boys ready, man, them
boys ready. When they first came in Queen Yon, Man,
you can see how he had Q. He's after. He's
a guy to get after you.
Speaker 2 (03:18):
Man.
Speaker 4 (03:18):
He competes every play and one thing about him that
he does was the young guys listening. You know what
I'm saying. He listened to everything. Every drive we go
out on the field. He asked me, what you think
they gonna do to us this game? Like, what do
you think this drive?
Speaker 2 (03:29):
Man? What do you think this drive?
Speaker 4 (03:30):
So he's very detailed and locked into the game. So, uh,
and I ain't surprised, you know what I'm saying, I'm
not surprised that the way he's playing, he's playing an
elite leag level.
Speaker 3 (03:38):
Man.
Speaker 2 (03:39):
He's got a bright future with him.
Speaker 3 (03:40):
I mean it was speaking of the future now. He
keeps saying bright future with him, Like, you ain't gonna
be there now, Slay. I know it's your contract year,
but look, the playoffs is when money is made. Yeah,
and you playing as well as you've ever played. I
mean we look at the Rams game. You had like
three PBUs.
Speaker 2 (03:58):
You were spiked.
Speaker 3 (03:59):
I don't know what Matt had against you that day.
Speaker 4 (04:03):
I said, Matt, come on, now, we we're together now,
don't we going this now?
Speaker 2 (04:07):
Definitely try to end the game on.
Speaker 4 (04:08):
Come on now, South, now, come on, maybe we better
than that like that. You know you made a good
catch right before that, you know, with the deep ball
without up, good good ball.
Speaker 2 (04:18):
But hey, come on down, fourth down. You know my name,
big play. I make those. You make those rookie on
the other side, and you're trying big play.
Speaker 4 (04:26):
Come on, man, you're gonna motion your you go send
your best guy over him and think I ain't ready.
Speaker 2 (04:30):
Come on now, I'm locked in there.
Speaker 3 (04:33):
Hey, young queen Yon doing the scariest terry Sally. I said, hey,
this boy that lost his mind. Yo, Hey, he is
on a level level. So he said before the game, man,
he's a like, I said, he like. I got to
get him back slip man.
Speaker 2 (04:46):
He done. He scoled on me the last game, and
you know what I'm saying.
Speaker 4 (04:49):
The first match up they had, you know, you know
he did this thing on him, and then uh second
game he got on a good go ball, he said, slack.
I'm on his head this week. He he already had
that celebration ready for three weeks. You know, every time
he played them three times you don't play not the reasons,
but the three times you don't play them. Like, he
had that celebration ready for it, and thankfully he came
(05:10):
at the right time.
Speaker 2 (05:10):
Man, the NFC Championship game.
Speaker 3 (05:12):
Man, it came at the right time. He was ready
for his moment. He high pointed that thing, then timpted
to himself, came down.
Speaker 2 (05:18):
I said, hey, and he got the most suspect hands
of all of them. Should have been the easiest book.
He can clamp you up.
Speaker 4 (05:27):
But now he got the most suspect hands of all
of them. But hey, man, I be so happy for
hihen he catches, Man, I'm so happy for him. Man,
I'm so happy for him. The last time he bread
basket on his shoulder, I said, right, you catch it, man,
I was just happy.
Speaker 3 (05:41):
Look, they all count the same.
Speaker 2 (05:44):
Have you talked to how we yet?
Speaker 3 (05:45):
You know what I mean? Obviously that man is the
best GM this side in Mississippi, and he's been doing
had a great offseason. I mean, we're gonna talk about
Sakuan and what he been doing, because that's it's just
silly that y'all was even able to get him on
y'all already All Star team, right, but not even just
getting him, you know what I mean, Zach Bond and
drafting Cooper's Regene and quinnyon and then so I think
(06:08):
you know all this stuff being said y'all in the
Super Bowl, y'all got a team, y'all got greatness already.
Have y'all had conversations about you coming back?
Speaker 4 (06:17):
We ain't had one yet. Well, you know, hopefully I do.
Hopefully I do. Man, that's the hope of plan, because
I do want to play my last year. I want
to play thirteen years. Thirteen will be my last one
for sure. I ain't going no more than that. I
got time for that.
Speaker 3 (06:29):
I don't know.
Speaker 2 (06:30):
I don't know, big Play. I don't know you paying.
Somebody gonna call you. Yeah, I don't get that. I've
been getting that tell too bad.
Speaker 4 (06:37):
Every time I go to the team man, playing against
another team, they'll be like, slave boy, you got about
three more here. I'm like, I know, But then again
I'm like, well, just getting up at that six and
am be hurting?
Speaker 2 (06:49):
Right?
Speaker 3 (06:49):
Big play, I'm gonna just cut look, take it from
your old head who don't play no more, who don't
strap them up no more. You gonna be so dain bored.
Even if you say I'm hanging them up. Man, somebody
gonna call you, gonna be like, hey, I'm all right,
I'll be there. Hey, Jennifer, gonna be like, hey, you've
been doing it for thirteen years. You don't get out
(07:11):
of this house, like I don't need you here crowding
up my space all day, Like.
Speaker 4 (07:15):
Right right, So we're gonna keep going putting the bait, man,
we gonna see. Nope, I hope it's with Philly though,
for sure. Man, I hope it is. But you know,
I know how to business work. You know, everybody like
to go to young route. But hey, if I'm here,
I'm here. I'm appreciated.
Speaker 2 (07:27):
Though.
Speaker 3 (07:27):
For sure they like to go to young route. But
you the reason you stick with a veteran. You got
mentor ship for these young boys, getting them right, and
then you got elite play you on the left side.
People don't maybe everybody don't understand this. The left side
corner is the guy that's the guy guy. At some point, Quinn,
y'all gonna move.
Speaker 2 (07:45):
To the left. You know what I mean, but it
ain't it ain't yet.
Speaker 4 (07:48):
Yeah, yeah, yeah, so hey, I'm preparing him though, on't
make sure you're good and ready for it.
Speaker 2 (07:54):
No, you're gonna for shure, be ready for it. Man,
talk about sa Kwan, because every.
Speaker 3 (07:58):
For you for that boy to start that game off
like that, I said, come on, now, you ain't gonna
you ain't gonna do him like this.
Speaker 2 (08:04):
Look. I was so excited that he scored.
Speaker 4 (08:07):
But then again, I was so mad that he scored
so fast because we just had a seventeen play.
Speaker 2 (08:11):
Drive, like we finishing us back out there.
Speaker 4 (08:13):
God, hell boy, good shit, he played drug Yes.
Speaker 2 (08:22):
Seven minutes off the clock. I'm out there already, just
got there. I just hit the water. Next thing that
I'm looking up, I'm hit. I'm lit. Gonn to celebrate
with I'm like, slave, save your energy. We gotta go
back out here. I gon't back out to go back
out now. Man.
Speaker 4 (08:37):
That man so good man, that man talented man like
me and my homeboys used to have like a little
talk about running backs. I said, many Saquan, that dude, man,
like I know he's probably stats don't say, like his
career stats don't say. But man ain't nobody seen no
running back like this.
Speaker 3 (08:52):
It's because the Giants was wasting they was wasting his
best years. Thank god he got with a great offensive
line and a great offense and a good coordinator and
all the right systems because now he's getting to show
what he what he should have been in the whole.
Speaker 4 (09:04):
Time, the whole time, Like this is he you know
what I'm saying, He stayed healthy as possible every year.
This year he goes down there, rustled down in two thousand,
every year behind his old line, right because he just
one play explosive, Like I think he had the most
sixty yard touchdowns and I don't know how many longs.
Speaker 2 (09:21):
I think in the history of the game.
Speaker 4 (09:24):
And he is explosive, man, Like send him in personnel
every week. Man, that's a highlight, real highlight.
Speaker 3 (09:31):
Real What was the first moment you you realized like
I practiced where he was, Like, damn he did were.
Speaker 2 (09:37):
In training camp. You know what I'm saying.
Speaker 4 (09:39):
First of all, we like T shirts and stuff that
he caught a stream boom man stuck his footing the ground.
So I'm like, and then you know what I'm saying,
not watching it, like how you know how teams watched.
Speaker 2 (09:50):
You know how team means.
Speaker 4 (09:51):
So we had a run play like you know, guys
got a guy to be gad man. I saw him
jump from boom boom boom hop hop and then I said,
oh yeah, yeah, yeah, saying you're going for two thousand,
You're going for two thousand.
Speaker 3 (10:04):
The second big run against the Rams, he put the
linebacker in a blender, so cold said.
Speaker 2 (10:12):
I'm saving the medium in the gap he said.
Speaker 4 (10:16):
I'm said, oh yeah, man, look look here, we call
him Black Jesus around here.
Speaker 2 (10:21):
You should as you should, boy, he is superhero does
right now? Oh said, boy, you're a superhero. You don't
understand this. Boy, you do some crazy stuff. You jump
on people backwards, and I'm just thinking, like they're watching
in person.
Speaker 3 (10:33):
Many it just sucks they don't get running backs to
MVP no more. And because because if anybody deserved it.
Speaker 2 (10:40):
It's him.
Speaker 4 (10:40):
It's it's him, man, right now, I'm talking about he
steps up big every time, even when even when Hurts
played well, he playing well. If HER's not playing as
well as he wanted to, he's still playing well. Like
he he consistently being the same player every week. So
like it's it's under novel, but.
Speaker 3 (10:58):
Now injured, he said, I'm still getting fifty.
Speaker 4 (11:01):
I mean we played the Saints. We had no Smitty,
no a j Man and like he we got that.
Come on, man, that boy, just stick it loose. I'm saying, so, yeah, man,
he should be the MVP. But you know, how go go,
you know what I'm saying, because Lamar has to have
a great year, but.
Speaker 2 (11:22):
Show should be m V pole.
Speaker 3 (11:23):
But speaking of that offensive line, how crazy was that
like for them to put land In Dickerson at center. Yeah,
he battled and then he got a little banged up,
and Cam Jergens wasn't even supposed to play.
Speaker 2 (11:36):
He wasn't he a soldier.
Speaker 4 (11:39):
Hey, that just shows you that the team bond and
the team connection that we're in the sacrifice.
Speaker 2 (11:43):
They body to do what they want to do. Man.
Uh the whole weekend was trying to fight through.
Speaker 4 (11:48):
And he said, they was like, hey, maybe we just
usually as an emergency, and look look what happened.
Speaker 2 (11:52):
We need them as emergency because it.
Speaker 4 (11:55):
Wouldn't nobody else can be able to do them two
jobs but them to guys, because our offensive line requires
like a good athletic center.
Speaker 2 (12:01):
You know what I'm saying, you see what Jason Kels.
Speaker 4 (12:03):
The guys that can you know, from the center position
pull do that run draws to block an open space.
So a lot of guys can't do that, but these
two guys can't. And we've seen that dog on landing
went down. We're like, oh man, But then Cam like
I'm going, I don't care what's going on.
Speaker 2 (12:18):
I'm going.
Speaker 4 (12:19):
And then as you see, Cam stepped up big and
we still had big runs when he was in there.
So man, that's good man more line man. Coach Stout
is one of the best whole line coaches ever. I'm
talking about. Anybody can plug in there. It's not gonna
look no different. Like it's never gonna look different.
Speaker 3 (12:35):
I mean even the rookie came in there and got
eymore I'm saying, and got boat for seventy you know
what I'm saying out of nowhere. I know, I know,
was like, hey, you see I don't get caught right there.
Speaker 4 (12:49):
Quad gave him the business for show. We don't get caught.
Sau gave him the business. He don't get caught.
Speaker 2 (12:54):
Yeah, what what's gotten it too? Nolan Smith is a dog.
Speaker 4 (13:00):
See I've been telling people all the time on the
pod that Noah Smith is to ask practters for our defense.
Everybody was like questioning because we had Hassan sweaty BG.
Then he used to come in and get like four
or five six reps because he was behind some great guys,
and everybody like, when is he gonna come alive?
Speaker 2 (13:15):
Where he could come alive?
Speaker 4 (13:16):
I said this, this is gonna be the year he
come alive. And you know what I'm saying, because people
are questioning his past rushing and this and that because
he was undersized.
Speaker 2 (13:22):
Whatever.
Speaker 4 (13:23):
Man, he is the tone center of our defense. You know,
I'm talking about any you send the tidy in that way?
Oh he crushed them.
Speaker 2 (13:32):
Boom.
Speaker 4 (13:33):
Anybody saying anybody that way, he's crushing them. And then
he's a great pass rusher and you think you could
get away from him. People don't understand Nola ran of
four to three at the combine. You know what I'm saying.
Too many quarterbacks running from him. So, man, he's a
special man. And I'm telling like, he really like the
heart and soul of our defense.
Speaker 2 (13:49):
Man. He really set the tone for everything. Bro.
Speaker 3 (13:52):
That's that's really cool to hear because he's had an
incredible playoff run. I mean, I think he got four sacks.
Speaker 2 (13:57):
Both sacks and ain't playing and he had he can't
end of the season with eight. I think seven to
eight right going the playoffs. You know what I'm saying,
he ain't playing around either, playing around. Come chasing that
money in the second.
Speaker 4 (14:11):
Look, that whole D line will get a lot of money.
Speaker 3 (14:15):
Jalen Carter out there abused and then Davis decided, I
want to get a sack this game.
Speaker 4 (14:20):
I'm just gonna jay he can rush the pass and
people don't think he can because you know, but he
can and he can't.
Speaker 2 (14:27):
And that D line man with definitely started with j C.
Speaker 3 (14:30):
Man.
Speaker 2 (14:30):
That man, he's a man of mons boys man.
Speaker 4 (14:33):
Like his stats don't say like all the sacked numbers
everybody probably want to see, but the ain't no running
to his way.
Speaker 2 (14:38):
He getting triple team Uh, he beating triple teams.
Speaker 4 (14:42):
And you know, and I don't playing with some great
D linemen like I played with Dominic and Sue Fletcher.
Speaker 2 (14:47):
Cox is one of the top two.
Speaker 4 (14:48):
But when I say by j C, is he probably
the most getted athletic one out of all of them,
Like he's the guy that can you know how back
in the nineties they ain't been at your step.
Speaker 2 (14:58):
He can eurold step, you know euro step where everybody
else have a move they can do and win. He
like the guy that, like I can erostep this, I
can long step like he he he.
Speaker 4 (15:09):
Looked different, and you know what I'm saying. He looked
different like Sue was a guy that kind of like
he just cut determination fletch two right. He got a
little finest to him. He got to like bullrush to him.
He got everything to him, So he gonna be very special.

Speaker 3 (16:51):
Talk about what what vic fango is meant Because I
played for VIC.
Speaker 2 (16:56):
So I know Vic? Oh you did? You played with
the Stanford in college? Okay? Right?
Speaker 3 (17:03):
And you know Vic wasn't doing no recruiting. He wasn't
leaving the building. Vic ain't talking to nobody's family, nothing,
nothing big coaching defense and well shit, ain't doing nothing.
Speaker 2 (17:16):
That's how he is now. He coached defense, go home.
Speaker 3 (17:19):
And he's so and he's so like monotone, Darius, what
is this right here? That's a great play right here
by the mic linebacker. We need this three technique to
move this way a secondary good job this week.
Speaker 2 (17:32):
We gotta we gotta do better. Though, Man, you sound
just like him. I swear to God we'd be saying that.
Speaker 4 (17:39):
He Look, he has the best born meeting I ever
been a part of. It's a good meeting because he
coaching every position and you learn, like dang, okay, I
see what he's saying.
Speaker 2 (17:49):
But it's like that's just how he talked.
Speaker 4 (17:51):
No, saman you know, got a little bit better than
your throw a little joking to the spice of ye'll
be a slave. That's good coverage. I need a little
more tighter. They will try to fit that in the window.
Then play and just critique everyone.
Speaker 2 (18:07):
We need to just set this edge.
Speaker 4 (18:10):
Hey, and you I'm talking about that's what we need
to do.
Speaker 2 (18:15):
It he the smooth.
Speaker 4 (18:16):
It will be like okay, got to go but he
very detail. You know, it's what he's saying. So I
love him.
Speaker 2 (18:20):
I love him. He do a great job with.
Speaker 3 (18:22):
Us, and he calls a great scheme, like he calls
a great game like you always sitting there in the
game like ooh, that's that's the one right there.
Speaker 2 (18:29):
I know I'm taking about. He been in his he
been in his bag.
Speaker 4 (18:33):
Like the first four weeks we was like, okay, how
we gonna get the feel of it. But then when
he set us down and let us understand what he
like one on his defense, man, I'm talking about it
was so detailed if you just and then his plate
call him was like on point, like man, he gots
ain't gonna spill his tricks, but he got so many
tricks that people don't know that help us out so
(18:55):
much on the feed black oh man, then they do it.
Speaker 2 (18:59):
He be like, hey, well he might be wanted. He wanted.
He one of the best DC's I know, been a
part of us. Bro. Bro.
Speaker 3 (19:05):
It's like it's like he'll have like your leverage or
something in the call. Ye want you and it's like
a trick he wants you to know, and it will
put it in the call and be.
Speaker 4 (19:13):
Like, I know what you're looking for. Then they run
and play that. He just kind of like feel that.
It's like, oh yeah yeah. And once I get that
feeling by the coach, oh yeah, whatever you tell me
to do, Couch, I trust and believe it.
Speaker 2 (19:24):
You know what I'm saying, whatever you do need me
to do.
Speaker 4 (19:25):
Yo, you say you want me to play this hard outside,
because I'm hard outside. You want to play art inside
for this reason I'm harder. Like he make you real trustworthy,
make you feel real comfortable.
Speaker 2 (19:34):
You know what I'm saying.
Speaker 3 (19:35):
And because if he tell you to do it and
it don't work, he gonna coach the guy that that
that made the mistake or whatever happened.
Speaker 4 (19:43):
And he's not one of the fewest coaches I've been
a part of that sit here and say when the
play happened, that's what they that's what they supposed to
be this at that's what the ball post have went.
Speaker 2 (19:52):
That's my fault, the call did that.
Speaker 4 (19:53):
Like he takes so much accountability and it's like cool, cool,
like so, and I feel good about the fact that
we go to meetings that I ain't in. He defended
He defended the dv's or the or the whole defense, like, hey,
I told him to do that.
Speaker 2 (20:07):
That call was on me.
Speaker 4 (20:08):
So it makes you feel good that he kind of
like go behind the scenes and be like, yeah, that's
my fault, right.
Speaker 2 (20:13):
That's that.
Speaker 3 (20:13):
I mean, you can't get no better than that because
ultimate credibility, you know what I mean.
Speaker 2 (20:17):
He's been doing it long enough so he ain't worried
about his job.
Speaker 3 (20:20):
Like, hey, I take these bullets, like I told him
the line about side, they ran a slant. That's on me.
I got to call it something something different.
Speaker 2 (20:28):
Some different.
Speaker 4 (20:28):
And that's why I say, can't get wrong with that,
and not too many coaches do that. It's been around
some coaches. I throw you right under that bus, right
and bring right over and back up too.
Speaker 3 (20:39):
We're not gonna say no names, but they will though.
We in great energy and you hit it to another
super Bowl. What's so different about it? Tell me, like
your mindset in this one compared to the last when
you went to because it's.
Speaker 2 (20:51):
The same team. It's the same team, but we're definitely different.
Speaker 3 (20:54):
Uh uh.
Speaker 4 (20:55):
It's just a mindset, just like knowing what what what
the guys keep to doing. Man, we know what he
came up being doing. We've done seen them numerous of times,
but uh, what's gonna be different? I think I'm definitely
be more composed because that was my first one that
first time, so I was kind of like, I think
my mount ain't getting no undry until the middle of
the second quarter. I'm like still like trying to get me.
(21:16):
So this time thing will be way more calmer, way
more relaxed, and just ready you know what I'm saying,
because I need me one man.
Speaker 2 (21:21):
I can't go in too.
Speaker 4 (21:22):
I can't go We know, we know it's gonna be
a ball or a good battle, so we got to
see it.
Speaker 2 (21:27):
I know you wanted to. I know you heard it
because you could have went to one right, could be
we could have had three of three of them, really
show we had one at the one we had pat
we had a ten point lead with ten ten minutes
to go, yeah, I mean seven minutes to go. We
held him the ten and then he just went off.
Speaker 4 (21:45):
Yep, yep, you could have had three of them things.
I'm trying to get me one man.
Speaker 2 (21:51):
That's it. That's it.
Speaker 3 (21:52):
I'm trying to get Are you looking for now? You
know what to expect? Like you know the media week.
How crazy that is?
Speaker 2 (21:58):
Like crazy? What are you telling the young dudes?
Speaker 4 (22:01):
I'm telling I'm hard for me to displaining it to
him because once they see it all, they gonna be
its just to look up and everything and be around
you be like still shock, Like even if you tell him,
like we had guys like Fletcher Lane and I'm like,
hey man, the media because they want they one, the
media gona be wild. You know what I'm saying, I'm
gonna be ready for it. Sat down, man, I'm just everywhere.
(22:22):
So it's still is a big bit distraction. I really
hate it, honestly. I really wish we could just practice
all that week bump the media unless it's like you
know what I'm saying, that's just coming to your locker
room or something and they go play. But it is
a distraction though, But then again, like you know it is,
they gotta make their money.
Speaker 2 (22:39):
You know, you know, it's all entertainment.
Speaker 3 (22:41):
But speaking events, BG, they say, BG, you got it
got a small chance, you know, I mean at least
they starting to speculate.
Speaker 2 (22:47):
I don't know how true that is.
Speaker 3 (22:48):
And I don't want you to spill those beans that
you you shouldn't be spelling. But they put something out
that he they took him off a I r U
huh or opened this window or whatever they needed to do.
And you know, obviously he's meant so much to the city.
He's been there so long. You know, obviously when he
went down, you know, with such a tragic, sad moment
for the cities, for the team, talk about what he's meant,
(23:12):
you know, just staying around the building, because it looks
like he's still been around.
Speaker 4 (23:15):
Oh, he don't leave the building. You know, he hangs around.
He come to meet and still he do everything as
a leader to do. Man, he honestly he helped me
grow as a leader, to learn how to understand because
like I'm I'm one of the leaders on defense.
Speaker 2 (23:26):
He the other cop on the defense.
Speaker 4 (23:27):
And I was already questioned, like how I handle this
without BG here, because like he kind of like the
voice of the defense and he kind of set the
tone for the whole team. And with him still being present,
maybe you feel better because you know what I'm saying,
I'm a great leader, but I'm not the one that
worry and bring the circle.
Speaker 2 (23:44):
Up and boo boo boo. Whatever kind of mess.
Speaker 4 (23:46):
You know, I'm more of a like play by example,
you know, I say my love one two and get
on back on business. But BG kind of like set
the tone and he kind of helped me guide my
way through it. Man, how to you know, hey, make
sure he kept making me excelat you break it down.
You know what I'm saying, You do this, you do that.
So he kind of like helped me getting my getting
my mold to be that kind of great leader.
Speaker 2 (24:04):
But man, he's amazing. Like I don't know who would
dislike b G.
Speaker 4 (24:10):
It's impossible to because like he's just hard to come
by a guy, a good guy like that, it's hard
to come by. Definitely on your team. So he want
nothing but the best for everyone out there, and we
appreciate that. We love him man, and hopefully he do
return because that's another D set that we would love
to have.
Speaker 2 (24:25):
No question. Oh that that's a monster game record, Yes,
game record. Come on.
Speaker 3 (24:31):
Well, the last thing I'm gonna ask you about how
Jennifer and the kids doing. You know what I mean,
just gonna be white.
Speaker 4 (24:36):
She upstand right now, She's still sell her brand. She's
still voice out of her voice a little bit so
she's yelling more than me, and I'm like, nag, come
down now.
Speaker 2 (24:43):
You know what I'm saying.
Speaker 3 (24:44):
I'm paying you know.
Speaker 2 (24:46):
She's been wanting for you. Boy.
Speaker 3 (24:49):
Man, let somebody be saying something about Slay. I'm gonna
see her on the time. Like, tell somebody, Yeah, she
ain't gonna play too much. Now, she ain't gonna play
too much. The family do it big? Yeah, they didn't
got big. I'm coaching sports now, you know, you know,
you know, once you done, that's that's what you're to
look forward to.
Speaker 4 (25:08):
Yeah, I'm gonna get ready for my day to coach
minds up to Man, I'm looking forward to that day.
Speaker 3 (25:12):
But what you're gonna find out is they don't listen
to you at all. They're listening to somebody down the
street before they listened to their dad.
Speaker 4 (25:20):
I've already been saying the same thing as my oldest
right now. Man, I'm like, but let's go work out.
We're working out a see him to do this, and
he just he's just like you don't get it, Like,
and you know your daddy is a all pro, five
times six time pro bowler, like.
Speaker 2 (25:34):
You to listen. Look, I didn't.
Speaker 3 (25:37):
I didn't realize how silly it was until Dion called
me to talk to to talk to Shiloh one day
and I said, Dion, what can I tell him that
you can't tell?
Speaker 2 (25:48):
He's like, yeah, I.
Speaker 3 (25:49):
Know why I am? You know why am? The world
know why am? But he don't know why I am.
Speaker 2 (25:53):
If they get just daddy right, I'm a little more
than daddy, A little more than daddy. Better listener be
I'm one of the greats.
Speaker 4 (26:01):
Hey, let me talking about like it'll be wild be
wild man, so it'd be funny.
Speaker 2 (26:04):
I'll be having that same problem man. So, hey, I
guess that's a dade. I thought I was tripping to No, No,
it's all of us. It's all of us. Okay, I'm good.
Speaker 3 (26:13):
But let me call you and put you on myself.
He's like, oh yeah, oh my god, this is terrorists.
Like yeah, yeah, yeah.
Speaker 2 (26:20):
Say to Lee, did that what time somebody else? Lee?
Call me and talk to his son too? What time before?
Speaker 4 (26:24):
I'm like to Lee, you know all the w two
now like y'all, I'm crazy, Like okay, ighlight them.
Speaker 3 (26:31):
Look, they still talking about that dB Academy, but we're
gonna talk about that this offseason.
Speaker 2 (26:34):
We ain't gonna talk about that again right now, but
we're gonna talk. We're gonna bring that back in whause,
get it.
Speaker 3 (26:41):
I think these young kids might be be with it
more than people we was playing with.
Speaker 4 (26:47):
So I'm saying we can't there. You know what I'm saying,
too much, too much hatred back then. But it's some love,
a lot going on, a lot of love going on
right now. So I know I got a lot of
love for all the dbs. So y'all know what time
it is with.
Speaker 2 (26:56):
Me, no question.
Speaker 3 (26:58):
We got a lot of knowledge to get help these
somebody a little tighter, yes, sir, guys to no question. Well,
I appreciate you brother as always. Man, enjoy the journey
and I'm happy for you.
Speaker 2 (27:08):

I hope you get you one and when you do,
I can't wait to talk to you about it.
Speaker 2 (27:12):
Man, fully say the appreciate it.
Speaker 4 (27:14):
I'm wait you came ready to talk to you about it,
because I might be lit for at least five or
six months.
