Speaker 1 (00:00):
Ohed I welcome to true romance is Devin Leary.
Speaker 2 (00:23):
What you're hearing is PK from real house as of
Beverly Hills, famously someone who should be a housewife themselves.
Speaker 1 (00:31):
And Dorry Eagle Woman Phoenix, right.
Speaker 2 (00:37):
I mean, I love the storyline for Dorry and PK
this year is like trying to be really okay, they're
so if they're trying so hard that like I honestly
feel I feel bad for them more than I hate them.
But PK is just telling Dory that her trauma isn't real,
even though like men broke into her house and held
a gun to her, and well they say that that's
what I happened. Okay, this is crazy. I am a
(00:59):
there's truthers out there. I am a believer that there
really was a home invasion. Do you know the thing
those are hard to believer.
Speaker 3 (01:06):
I'm a believer that if there was a home invasion,
pk knew about it.
Speaker 4 (01:12):
I at at Me, at Me, at Me, at Me,
at Star And by the way, I think it's amazing
for a couple to be so in love that even
when they try to pretend like they have problems for
the cameras everyone's like, you guys are in love.
Speaker 1 (01:28):
Just shut up.
Speaker 2 (01:29):
I have a feeling they're like a business partnership. Like
I think that they probably don't even care for each
other anymore.
Speaker 3 (01:36):
I think they love it. I think he loves her.
I think she loves him too. I think they have
like a thing that works.
Speaker 1 (01:44):
I do.
Speaker 5 (01:45):
I really told you that. I think PK is hot.
Speaker 3 (01:48):
And yes, I did go from saying that a man
planned a home invasion against his wife without her knowledge
to saying that that very man loves that wife deeply
and she loves him too.
Speaker 1 (01:57):
And those are facts that I believe.
Speaker 3 (01:59):
Humanity complicated, complex and layered, and two things.
Speaker 2 (02:03):
Can be true. Two things can be true, even if
those seem to directly contradict each other.
Speaker 5 (02:09):
I have news.
Speaker 2 (02:10):
I am moving and you are moving. I'm moving at
the same time. We're both moving our ass. Finally, we're
getting to work, much like Kim Kardashian asked us all to, and.
Speaker 3 (02:22):
We're getting our ass up and hiring people to pack
boxes for us and move us.
Speaker 2 (02:27):
The fear I have around moving, I had a stomach
ache the other day thinking about it, because.
Speaker 1 (02:31):
I have a stomach ache every day thinking about it.
Speaker 5 (02:34):
Yeah, that's because you have been diagnosed with Celiac disease.
Speaker 3 (02:37):
Well, and I have severe hypochondria, so I did go
to So I don't know if you've heard of One Medical. No,
it's a service that they should have never When One
Medical met Devin Leary, they said, we should have never
created this service because we did not know that humans
could turn it to such evil. Because it's basically a
(02:58):
service in New York that you, hey, like two hundred
dollars or like one seventy five a year and then
you can go as many times as you want to
the doctor and they will like see you for whatever
you want. And they have a message portal, so uh
better believe someone with the OCD health OCD hypochondria that
I common refer commonly referred to as Munchausen's that I
(03:19):
have the amount of times I'm in that message portal
saying like, hey, so I took one extra nausea pill
and I think I'm overdosing a diet. Okay, got it, Okay,
so that's fine, got it? Hey, So I googled something
called serotonin syndrome and I'm like pretty sure that's what's
happening to me. Oh, that no, okay, got it, And
pretty much every time they'll be like, are you experiencing
any severe symptoms?
Speaker 1 (03:39):
And they list like chest pains.
Speaker 3 (03:41):
Like violent vomiting or like weakness or something, and I'm
always like, well, now chest pains is interesting.
Speaker 1 (03:48):
Could it be I did have gas? And I did
have gas?
Speaker 2 (03:52):
No, So that's like kind of the vibe picturing that
message portal that just be being full on your end
of pictures of like little skin, yes, like I got.
Speaker 3 (04:01):
A cut and I was like, I'm bleeding to death.
Like that's the vibe. Oh, so one of the most
recent ones. I also have a friend who's a doctor
who gets abused consistently by me, but I went straight
to her when I found out that I had not
been boiling water for my navage sinus clearing machine. I
was like, oh, boil the water first, who even does that?
And then my boss was like, oh, I was gonna
(04:22):
use that, but I'm like too lazy to boil the water.
I'm like, well, why do they even say to do that?
And my boss is like, because you can get a
brain eating amba and die and I was like, okay,
so I'm actually gonna have to leave work now. Because
my life is crashing down because I'm dying. I'm actually
red alert Gray's anatomy, red alert, code blue because I
have a brain eating amba.
Speaker 1 (04:42):
So I texted my friend. She's like, no, you don't.
Speaker 3 (04:44):
Anyway, the whole point is, I went to one medical
this week. You know, what are my symptoms? Hard to say,
but I said, give me the full blood panel. Something's off.
I feel something's off. Full blood panel. And I said,
and please test me for a lead. And she's like, wait,
you need to be tested for lead? And I'm like, okay.
So I saw an Instagram video where someone said if
you use vintage dishes, they're painted with lead, and I
(05:06):
can't be having that. And I also have severe waves
of nausea sometimes and I think it's from lead poisons.
So basically the doctor was like, okay, I know what
the situation it's. Meanwhile, she's looking at my chart. She's like,
this woman comes in like once every two days.
Speaker 2 (05:21):
So anyway, they're gonna start turning you away from hospitals.
Like Lena Dunham, Well.
Speaker 3 (05:26):
I'm like the crid wolf Kid. You know the crowd
wolf Kid story, the crowd Wilf Kid. That's me because
when I had Celiac, people were like, wait, really, cause
like I always say I have something, but I was like, no,
I swear I literally got a throat endoscopy and they
said I haven't. But everyone was like, Okay, the point
(05:47):
is I'm moving to We're both. I mean, I'm gonna
be recording from a new location undisclosed next week. But
it's not in Brooklyn. I'll tell you that much.
Speaker 2 (05:58):
Okay, here come the stalkers going to every single burrow
that this fucking great, big gay Apple has to try
to find Devin Larry. I am moving too. I'll be
in a new location in about two weeks, two episodes.
And you could say that moving to me, I just
(06:20):
plan a new life for myself. Like I bought a
journal the other day. I'm doing the artist's way. I
ever heard of start.
Speaker 1 (06:26):
No, that's the thing.
Speaker 3 (06:27):
It becomes like, oh, actually my whole Someone today was like, oh,
I'm gonna use Daylight Savings as like my fresh start.
I'm like, oh please, I am building up, binging up.
I'm like, oh, I guess I'll get take out every
single night until I move because that's where my fresh
start is. So I guess I'll be ordering not one,
but two pasta dishes for myself for lunch today.
Speaker 5 (06:48):
Did I tell you that I'm on Manjura.
Speaker 1 (06:51):
Carolina? What?
Speaker 4 (06:55):
Wait?
Speaker 2 (06:55):
So this is the thing I've decided to be honest, Like,
you know, I get botox, you know I get Devin's
covering her mouth right now, much like I have to
do sometimes when I'm too full from half a meal
because I'm on monduro. Something happened in the past few
months where I would probably describe it as giving up,
like I just wasn't taking care of myself. Well, I
wasn't like taking care of my personal hygiene. Well, I
(07:17):
wasn't like I was on my phone before I went
to sleep, on my phone as soon as I woke up.
There was just something that was like I don't give
a fuck about anything. And I think I was like
just going into a low grade depression. And that's not
why I went on Monjeur. I went on Moderea because
I was like I need help losing these ten pounds,
but I and but I, And also because I'm like
(07:42):
I get a surgery every like six months, and like
that always kind of like puts me on my ass
for like a long period and I was like, I'm
doing all this stuff to affect my appearance that I
don't necessarily voluntarily do. I do it because, like my
body looks different from a car ACXI. So I would
love to do something for me that's like more aesthetically.
(08:05):
It's kind of like when I started getting botox and filler.
I was like, it's so nice to be in charge
of how I look because I'm so not in charge
of how I look.
Speaker 1 (08:12):
That makes sense.
Speaker 2 (08:14):
And I also just love being honest about it, Like
they're so I've heard of so many You're not eric,
I'm not saying it's my hormones. Yeah, No, I'm like,
of course I would be honest about it. Of course,
I'm honest with my filler and botox. I'm just like,
why keep things a little secret?
Speaker 1 (08:35):
You know what?
Speaker 3 (08:35):
I admire that, And once you explained it, that makes
a lot of sense and I totally get it.
Speaker 2 (08:42):
I truly if I were still like even close to
my eating disorder days, I would not. I just I
just don't have the energy to have an eating disorder.
I truly don't the.
Speaker 3 (08:55):
OCD to learn how to like be healthy about your
body and food.
Speaker 5 (09:02):
Yeah, I don't have the energy to do that either,
got it?
Speaker 3 (09:06):
Just saying that's an option for anyone who's listening learning
how to like take care of your body I love it,
or know how.
Speaker 2 (09:13):
To like actually like dyet and like control your appetite.
Speaker 1 (09:17):
No, not diet.
Speaker 5 (09:20):
Okay, I can't hear you.
Speaker 3 (09:22):
Learning learning how to like love your body and want
to take care of it.
Speaker 1 (09:26):
I think is the goal.
Speaker 3 (09:27):
Like the goal is like not binging, not abstaining, just
like feeding your body the nutritents it needs.
Speaker 1 (09:33):
I'm not saying I do that.
Speaker 3 (09:34):
I just said I ate two dishes of pasta today
and like I don't always eat well, But I'm saying
I think the goal is not to diet. It's like
to just take care of yourself and what you need
without overdoing it.
Speaker 5 (09:48):
Yeah.
Speaker 2 (09:48):
So I've never been able to do that, and I
don't think. Bethany Frankel, recenting on a TikTok was like,
how do I say so thin? I never eat until
I'm fall And I was like that sounds like absolute
health me.
Speaker 6 (10:00):
Yeah, I love that.
Speaker 2 (10:11):
By the way that she has picked a fight with
Travis Kelcey and Taylor Swift, I was like, Bethany, can
you find like I honestly, to me, she belongs on
the Housewife still, like she still has an antagonistic personality.
I mean, obviously she doesn't, because she's like now made
it a mission to tear down Bravo. I think because
they turned down so many like shows that she pitched
(10:31):
to them.
Speaker 1 (10:32):
I agree.
Speaker 3 (10:33):
I think they thought she was tired and not good enough,
and they like rejected her from Housewives, and now she's
pissed about it. But I do think she would be
entertaining to watch. I mean, oh, I'd watch her on
a heartbeat. I met her.
Speaker 1 (10:45):
I need a good Housewife season. I've kind of given
up on everything.
Speaker 5 (10:49):
Have you been watching Beverly Hills?
Speaker 1 (10:51):
No, I give up.
Speaker 2 (10:54):
So there is some I mean, there's a lot you
have to watch about Esophagus drama, which is like the
stupidest thing I've ever heard. But I'm excited about the
Dory Kyle drama, especially because Kyle really breaks the fourth
wall in the reunion and she's like, dre eet, when
have we hung out without cameras.
Speaker 1 (11:13):
That I did hear about? That's very interesting.
Speaker 2 (11:17):
And You're like, it's pretty crazy, And then Dury read
a text that Kyle had sent her, which a lot
of people are making big noise about. I'm like, this
is the line, Like what are we talking about? Like
you guys get naked on camera regularly.
Speaker 3 (11:35):
Yeah, the lines are very interesting, especially when you see
what Andy's getting sued for. It's like, like, I don't
know that any of this is an issue.
Speaker 5 (11:46):
I know, I'm like offering cocaine to housewives Like.
Speaker 1 (11:49):
Great, that's like giving candy to kids. I would not personally.
Speaker 3 (11:54):
I wouldn't sue someone at their door on Halloween who's
giving out kit kat bars king size. I wouldn't see
that person. I would not legislate litigate with them.
Speaker 5 (12:07):
How is Love is Blind?
Speaker 3 (12:09):
So Love Is Blind? Finale came out and this is
what I'll say. These shows and I'm watching, of course
like Married at First Sight too, and these shows do
need to try a little harder to get people.
Speaker 1 (12:24):
I don't know how they do it. I don't care
how they do it.
Speaker 3 (12:25):
Some people say they offer them fifty thousand dollars to
just get to the altar, and if they like, don't
make it to the altar, they have to pay fifty
thousand dollars or something. But I'm just like, these people
have to make it to the most dramatic part, like
you have to. Actually, I don't know. I'm like sick
of watching people just fade away before, so you're basically like,
(12:47):
all right, what am I watching for? But we got
two weddings. That's it yet again, just two weddings. We're
used to three or four, we're used to five or six.
We're getting two weddings. On Love Is Blind finale and
Johnny and Amy. I have to say Johnny is one
of the most unattractive people of all time. He's so
corny to me. He literally says, guess what chicken butt?
Speaker 1 (13:08):
And he is so.
Speaker 3 (13:11):
That his face and body is attractive. His hair is
the worst hair. Like it's kind of an affront because
I'm like, wait, are you like choosing to have ugly
hair because you think that's like funny and it's like
not at all very much.
Speaker 5 (13:24):
Kyle on a Summerhouse is mullet.
Speaker 3 (13:27):
I mean, honestly, I don't mind a mullet these days,
Like I think it's kind of like trendy and whatever,
but I do mind like just.
Speaker 1 (13:34):
Clown ass hair.
Speaker 3 (13:35):
That's what this guy has, clown ass hair, and he
looks like silly Billy the clown that went to my
birthday parties when I was a kid and later appeared
in the documentary Capturing the Freedman's because his family were
pedophiles and he did make inappropriate jokes to my dad
at a child's birthday party. So kind of seeing that
commy wish they would ask me to be in the interview.
(13:57):
I would have been like, yeah, yeah, me at five
years old.
Speaker 1 (14:01):
Yeah, yeah, I'm glad you're doing something about this. So
but whatever, I think they're cute.
Speaker 3 (14:07):
I think they're both really corny and like kind of
like lame, so I think they'll be really happy together.
I don't think that she gets vaccinated against diseases since
she doesn't believe in sex unless there's like a vasectomy involved,
Like she doesn't trust condoms or a single form of
contraception that the medicine world has come up with. So
I'm a little bit like interesting. But I think they're
(14:29):
both so sweet. Her family. There's something about there's something
very touching about when families on these shows can set
aside all their better judgment to like trust that their
kid is doing something that's good for them process and
they're like, you know what, I actually do love you
no matter what. And that's why I'm gonna come to
your televised Netflix wedding and like give a speech like
that is moving to me.
Speaker 1 (14:52):
So that's that.
Speaker 3 (14:53):
And then Clay and ad I thought they would get
married and stay together forever, but he pulled a fe
last one and at the wedding said he like isn't
ready to get married but wants to keep dating.
Speaker 1 (15:04):
That's another classic move on these shows.
Speaker 3 (15:06):
He's like, Okay, I don't want to get married, but
like I would love to keep dating you. And I
guess I was surprised. I don't know, looking back, I
probably wouldn't be surprised. Clay has something going on with
like he's like blinking a lot. He's always like anxious, moving, fidgeting.
It's giving like chef a little bit where you're like,
are you okay dude? So that, but Clay's mom is
(15:31):
such a beautiful, incredible person. On Garbage Sash formerly Bitch Sash,
they said they called for her to be the Golden Bachelorette.
Speaker 1 (15:39):
I couldn't agree more. Now this is what I'm gonna say.
Speaker 3 (15:43):
So there was a fight this season on Love is
Blind about optics, where Jimmy was upset that Chelsea said
he had had sex with one of his best female
friends on camera because he was like, well, now everyone
knows that I had sex with her, and like, you
just told the world that. On the one hand, like
I'm always on the side of the girl who's mad
at her boyfriend for flirting with girls that he's friends with.
(16:06):
On the other hand, I do understand what he's saying,
which is that, like, it's kind of fucked up that
now everyone in the world knows that girl had sex
with him, and she didn't ask for that. She's not
participating in the experiment. So then meanwhile, on Married at
First Sight, there was an I'm no question about it,
(16:29):
abusive man, emotionally abusive man that a woman on the
show was matched with.
Speaker 1 (16:34):
Happens every season and yes, I keep watching.
Speaker 3 (16:37):
Yep, I keep throwing it down the old gullet, but
it is pretty much every season there's an abusive man.
Speaker 1 (16:44):
And so.
Speaker 3 (16:46):
There was this moment which was incredible where all the
women in the show like confronted the men about They
were like, why are you all so confused or concerned
with optics? Because not only was Brennan the one who
was abusive, like getting upset about optics and what Emily
has quote unquote wife like said on camera. But the
other men were protecting him and they would get upset
(17:08):
at their like lives quote unquote again for bringing up
stuff about him, like this guy Cameron was telling his
wife like, don't talk shit about Brennan, like Brennan's a
good guy.
Speaker 1 (17:17):
Whatever. And it's very.
Speaker 3 (17:19):
Interesting because on the one hand, it's like, Okay, I
understand where a girl who didn't have anything to do
with the experiment like just came on as a friend
and then like it's like exposed to the world that
she had sex with.
Speaker 1 (17:40):
Someone that I'm not cool with.
Speaker 3 (17:43):
But on the other hand, like all you people who
actually chose to be a part of the experiment, and
then are these men who are then upset that their
behavior is being shown. It's just so classic. It's like
I feel like it's like like I've had the experience
of like saying something about an ex on this podcast
and then they reach out and are like upset about it,
and it's like.
Speaker 1 (18:03):
Well, you did that, you have to did that. And
I've never named.
Speaker 3 (18:07):
Someone by name, but it's like you did that behavior
and that happened to me, and I can express my
feelings about it and if you're embarrassed about it, Like,
it's just like with men a lot of the times,
the first instinct is not to look inward. Like I
work in retail and I've never seen a straight seeming
man come in and actually make any effort to look
(18:29):
for something themselves. They always immediately ask me to tell
them where something is. And it's like these men on
these shows who are like their first instinct is not like, uh,
maybe should I think about if my behavior is bad
because I'm suddenly like embarrassed that the world is going
to see it.
Speaker 1 (18:43):
Is that's something wrong with me?
Speaker 3 (18:44):
And they're like, no, it's wrong with these women for
putting it on camera right when they chose to go
on the show.
Speaker 1 (18:48):
It's just interesting.
Speaker 2 (18:49):
Well, that reminds me of the fact that Anne Marie
I think her name's Tendler, she's John Mulaney's ex wife,
is coming out with a memoir are called Oh my.
Speaker 3 (19:02):
God, I just lost my ship because I thought you
were talking about Anne Marie from Beverly Hills Housewives, and
I was like that, okay, So John Mullaney has fucking
lived a life. Then he was married to her, got divorced,
then he married the other woman who I forgot is
also named am Marie, and now he's with Olivia Munt.
Speaker 1 (19:21):
But I am so.
Speaker 2 (19:21):
Excited to see Olivia Mun or one of John Mulaney's
wives on the Housewives.
Speaker 3 (19:28):
I would love that too. But I'm really excited for
the memoir that I saw that. I'm excited.
Speaker 2 (19:33):
But I think she said, like men who have brought
me so much rage and heartbreak, so.
Speaker 1 (19:41):
So I'm gonna be salivating over those states.
Speaker 3 (19:47):
So so.
Speaker 2 (19:49):
Yeah, so I think we're gonna be Someone was like,
I wonder if there's a chapter in it about when
Olivia mun stocked them at a wedding because she wanted
to hang Have you ever.
Speaker 5 (19:58):
Heard that story?
Speaker 2 (20:00):
Oh my god, when Oliviama is like, I was just
like trying to hang out with them because I'm so
obsessed with him.
Speaker 3 (20:06):
I cannot fucking wait to read this, Okay, Anna Marie,
please get to writing.
Speaker 1 (20:12):
No Passion.
Speaker 5 (20:13):
But it's coming out, Like the book is coming out?
Speaker 1 (20:15):
When is it?
Speaker 2 (20:17):
I don't have the dates in front of me, but
I think it's it's available to pre order.
Speaker 3 (20:21):
Random House, Penguin House House wait, Penguin House, Wait, can
you please.
Speaker 6 (20:28):
Uh just tell us, uh.
Speaker 5 (20:31):
Literally drop this book into my lap.
Speaker 4 (20:34):
Yeah.
Speaker 5 (20:35):
I'm pretty excited about that one. But I think you.
Speaker 2 (20:40):
Waxing poetic about how men have behaved poorly and then
expected people not to find out about it reminded me
of this memoir.
Speaker 1 (20:51):
Well, I can't wait for that. But speaking of optics.
Speaker 3 (20:55):
There is a relationship that is before our very eyes,
no matter how they try to control it.
Speaker 2 (21:03):
We're talking, of course, about Carl and Lindsay on Summerhouse,
and I have never seen a hostage situation like this one.
Carl is a sober man who you can tell is
really working on himself. Lindsay isn't alcoholic monster monster. She's
(21:27):
you know, slurring her words in the middle of the
day at the beach, and I am fascinated because you know,
we've went over about how she he basically is like,
let's discuss both of our interpretations of the conversation we
had tomorrow after we get some sleep, and she's like,
call me when you're sober. And I really identify this
(21:50):
as like someone who has a drinking problem, because I
remember when I would get blackout drunk and call my
boyfriend at the time and accuse him of cheating on me,
and I was like, sure, he wasn't cheating on me,
but I just needed something to sink my teeth into.
Like I was just like a beast who needed something
to like growl at, and like boyfriends usually got, you know,
(22:12):
the brunt of my.
Speaker 5 (22:14):
Beast mode.
Speaker 2 (22:15):
And Lindsay is obviously like acting like a crazy person.
But it's so funny because when Carl tries to mend
things with her, she's like, yeah, I just thought it
was so weird, like how mean you were to me?
And rue like there is no tone of a like
apologetic tone from her. She is still completely believing she's
(22:38):
in the right. And we have a teaser for next
week's episode, which I'm so excited for where she calls
him sand of aal like where she's like, you're being
like sand of aal right now, oh.
Speaker 3 (22:58):
Wait, did you see the clip where she's like doing
a cheers and then Carl says something and she's like,
I'm gonna give the ring back, like in front of everyone.
She's so, this is the thing. It's really not that hard.
In my experience of dating people as a sober person
(23:23):
who I've dated both people who I think have a
drinking problem and people who I think don't. And the
people I think don't, it does not seem hard for
them at all to most of the time not drink
and basically never drink to excess, Like it's like you
don't even notice that they drink because they just seem
like the same person, Whereas I've dated people with a
drinking problem where I'm like, Wow, it doesn't seem possible
(23:46):
for you to not get fucked up, even though you
know that that's like an a part of my life
that I don't do that.
Speaker 1 (23:51):
And Lindsey gets fucked up.
Speaker 3 (23:54):
But it's funny because last summer the facade was still up,
she was still she was still doing baby voice, I'm
obsessed with my man and like I'm sober for him.
Now it's down and she's such a raging bitch to
him and she is getting wasted, like the clip I
saw where she's like, I'm going to give the ring
back she chugs an entire martini in one sip in
(24:16):
one sip.
Speaker 4 (24:17):
No.
Speaker 2 (24:18):
I mean, I did appreciate one scene from her and
this week where she's talking about you know how she
doesn't know what Carl doesn't know what he wants to
be when he grows up, and everyone you know, Carl's
hiring a business coach for twenty thousand dollars. Like, I
actually think that's reasonable. If I was, you know, doing that,
and my partner was talking about that on reality TV,
he I would get pretty pissed off. But I do
(24:40):
think it's like reasonable to be annoyed when your partner
isn't like being active about what they wanted to. But
then he pitches her the worst idea I've ever heard,
where he's like, Lindsey, what about a non alcoholic sports
bar and she just goes, no, that's a no for me.
I'm like, I love I love the radical honesty. She's like, yeah,
(25:01):
that's not going to be for me and my family.
Speaker 3 (25:03):
Well, it is funny because it's like if Paige said that,
I would be like one thousand percent like on her side,
like I'm like, yeah, fuck off, But you're so right,
And it's like it's just the thing of like it
felt so inauthentic even just that he's like, oh, I'm
at like a mocktail bar and for her to like
come there and be like yeah.
Speaker 2 (25:23):
Oh she obviously it looks like she like hates it
so much, like she probably.
Speaker 1 (25:28):
Coregaind it, like she probably got wasted be where she went.
Speaker 3 (25:31):
And that is just something where it's like, Okay, you
have to like part of being in a relationship is
pretending you like things you don't like. And as someone
who is horrible at that, I have to say Lindsay
is worse.
Speaker 5 (25:43):
That is so true.
Speaker 2 (25:44):
Part of being in a relationship is pretending to like
things you don't like. That is a pillar of relationships.
Speaker 3 (25:51):
Yes, and she can't pretend to like not being black
out every it was interesting too because when so then
basically after this like horrible fun that they had, they
go down and like talk to their different people, and
Danielle immediately swoops back into like codependent like friend of Lindsay,
like container, as my therapist would say, she acts as
(26:12):
the container for Lindsay's feelings. And Carl goes to talk
to Kyle, and then Kyle describes his friendship as with Lindsay,
and it could not be more obvious that their friendship
is built entirely on getting drunk. Like he's like, yeah,
so she's like really toxic and like doesn't take accountability
for anything. But I've been able to just like for me, like,
I just ignore that. But when you're in a relationship,
(26:32):
you can't really And it's like also when you're sober
and not blackout, you can't ignore the fact that someone
is completely incapable of taking accountability for their actions because
you actually have to.
Speaker 1 (26:42):
Bear witness to their actions. And it's just so sad.
Speaker 3 (26:47):
And then they all go to the beach and that's
when this moment happens that I compared on my Instagram
story to very few likes, although I thought deserved more
a moment where Lindsay and Carl go to talk on
their own on the beach, and I compared it to
Tom and Shiv, the moment where he's like, you asked for.
Speaker 2 (27:05):
An Oh, I didn't see this, but if I did,
I would have definitely shot you a heart emoji.
Speaker 3 (27:10):
I I'm glad you didn't see it because I was
looking for the Carolina Rose Barlow heart emoji and I
didn't see it. But I just felt this was very
Tom and Shiv, And because Carl immediately goes into it
being so doting to her, He's like, listen, I know
you were like having a hard time and like and
I'm like, okay, none of that matters.
Speaker 1 (27:26):
She was evil to you.
Speaker 5 (27:28):
Truly, she was evil to you.
Speaker 2 (27:30):
And you can see that he keeps trying to stick
up for her, but there's just nothing to stand up for,
Like there's no defense there. And so he like even
Kyle being like who I've never listened to. It was
like last night was unacceptable, yes, And Carl's like right right,
like still struggling by.
Speaker 3 (27:49):
The way, I really related to the group that stayed
back instead of going to the club. And then when
Paige was like, I'm already in my jam, He's so, yeah,
I'm just going to go to bed.
Speaker 2 (28:00):
Wait, can we talk about West and Sierra. He's the
kind of guy that I would literally throw away with
my life for.
Speaker 3 (28:07):
I couldn't agree more. I couldn't agree more, and them
together it made okay. So this is what I noticed
about them together, and this is such a good sign
I noticed.
Speaker 1 (28:17):
So West and Sierra went on a date.
Speaker 3 (28:19):
First, they had this really cute flirting moment where he
went up to go to the bathroom and everyone was
asking her if she likes him, and then he came
back and they were like, so, how is the weather,
and then he talked to Paige on the beach and
he was like, I want to ask Sierra out to
dinner and Paige was like I think she would like that,
and I'm like, okay, I'm literally living for this moment.
But when they were on the date, I realized how
(28:41):
weird Sierra is. I was like, oh, Sierra's like weird.
Like she's like she's has all these hidden things about
her personality. She like hiked all the national parks, but
she's also like making jokes about like the I don't know,
I can't think of examples, but it's like she's so
hot that you would think she's just basic, but she's
not basic at all. And the fact that like how
(29:02):
unique her personality is came through on the date shows
that she feels comfortable with West and with Austin. She
wasn't herself with West. She is herself and I love
that vibe. And then he was like the one who
was sweating and nervous, and then she was like I'm
a little nervous too, and he's like, it makes me
feel better to know that you're nervous.
Speaker 1 (29:19):
I was like, you guys are so cute.
Speaker 2 (29:21):
Oh my god, what what about when he asked her
out and he was like what did he say?
Speaker 1 (29:26):
What is your week?
Speaker 2 (29:27):
Look like you're busy Thursday? And she was like, what
do I have Thursday? And he was like dinner. Obviously.
Speaker 1 (29:31):
I was like, this is for her. I love too.
Speaker 2 (29:36):
When she saw him at a party and all of
his friends strolled like rolled through and they were all black,
and she was like, I knew it. I knew he
had this. I mean I had black friends. It was
so funny. Yeah, that was great. Or in the kitchen
when she was talking to Danielle and she was like,
you love a skinny guy and he was like, do
you like a big guy? And I was like, oh
my god, I love him. I was just like, finally,
(29:58):
they've been trying so much. Any random dudes on that
show and all of them are fucking dorks who just
like I don't know, like someone makes out with them,
but they suck, and they including Jesse.
Speaker 3 (30:09):
Solomon sorry to say, even though he had cancer and
is really hot, he's also a loser.
Speaker 5 (30:14):
He's a dork.
Speaker 2 (30:15):
But West, I'm like, finally a cool guy, like finally,
like a page in terms of like someone who has
like a funny remark up their sleeves, like at their
sleeve at any David moment.
Speaker 1 (30:26):
Yes, I love that whole situation.
Speaker 5 (30:32):
I also had it.
Speaker 2 (30:32):
There was a great classic Amanda Kyle moment when Kyle said,
you want to take a shower with me, and she said,
I don't want to be naked next to you. Imagine
saying that to your husband and.
Speaker 1 (30:41):
Then they're like, do you miss Kyle and the dogs?
And she's like no.
Speaker 3 (30:45):
And by the way, that was what it was like
when on Winterhouse. I don't know if you remember, but
he called her like the first time he's there. He's like,
I miss you, and she goes, I don't miss you
on the phone. Imagine imagine if a man said that
to either of us, I don't miss you without a
joking tone.
Speaker 2 (31:00):
So I think this happens a lot where I think
she was obsessed with tying him down when they first
started dating and he was not so much, and then
when she finally got him, she like grew to hate him,
but she had worked so hard to like tame this
like awful man. I think that happens a lot in
real life, where like women fixate on like getting some
guy and then when they actually get them, they're like,
(31:22):
this is what I've been working so hard. Yes, and
then they grow to resent them for that. And then
the guy at this point has been like, it's you know,
I just think like men are like dumber when it
comes to attachment and stuff, and they're just.
Speaker 5 (31:35):
Like, yeah, I love you.
Speaker 2 (31:37):
Yeah, And the woman is the one who's like pulling away.
Speaker 1 (31:41):
Yes, and then affairs happened.
Speaker 3 (31:43):
I would love to see a reversal of this where
the affair is the woman, not sand of All or
Jax Tailor.
Speaker 5 (31:52):
That would be such a good episode.
Speaker 1 (31:54):
Oh.
Speaker 2 (31:54):
By the way, I'm really excited for the Valley, especially
now that I see that, well, we're going to see
some toxicity.
Speaker 1 (31:59):
That's I'm excited for that too.
Speaker 3 (32:01):
And I'm excited for whenever Bachelor and Paradise comes back.
Speaker 1 (32:07):
And I'm excited.
Speaker 5 (32:08):
Last season was such a fucking fart noise.
Speaker 1 (32:10):
I know, well, what.
Speaker 3 (32:11):
Are you thinking about the Bachelor? I know you've kept
up and I haven't like a loser.
Speaker 2 (32:16):
So the Bachelor has been great. People are obsessed with
Maria like they are.
Speaker 5 (32:22):
I love obsessed with her. I am.
Speaker 2 (32:24):
I love her too, I'm not so happy with her
right now. Because she took pictures with the police because
the police were like, oh my god, are you from
the Bachelorette. She's like this is iconic and like posted
on her Instagram and I was like, babe, and I'll
pull you aside and talk to you about what's happened
in the past one hundred years. That's really so that
was hard. But she I think is gonna be the
(32:46):
next Bachelorette. Like there's literally like such a campaign for her,
and I'm really excited for her season because I do
find he will.
Speaker 1 (32:52):
Be unstable, she will be unstable.
Speaker 2 (32:55):
There's an air of authenticity to her which is very
much appreciated, Like she's definitely not from the pageant circuit.
So she did one of those things. This is when
I'm like, you're a genius. You know that you're gonna
be the next bachelorette. She at hometowns, where everyone knows
you're supposed to sit on the curb after hometowns and tell,
(33:15):
you know, the guy or the girl that you're falling
in love with them, like that's just your first You
say you're falling for them, then you say I'm falling
in love with you, then you say I love you,
like before you have sex or whatever. So they have
a hometown date. It's cute. Her dad looks like Geene
Simmons is like, looks like he's in the mafia or whatever.
They sit outside and she's like, so, I just want
(33:39):
to tell you that, like my feelings are like really real,
and and then there's like a long beat and she goes, yeah,
and I appreciate you being here and you're like okay,
so you want to be sent home. So then she's like,
I'm not going to have time to talk to.
Speaker 5 (33:58):
I don't even know what the fuck is name is.
Speaker 2 (34:01):
Before the I don't always time talk to Joey before
the rose ceremony.
Speaker 5 (34:07):
Oh my god, Oh my god.
Speaker 2 (34:07):
So at the rose ceremony, she literally blurts out, Joey,
can I talk to you for a second. They're in
an airplane hanger and they like hide behind a plane
for a second.
Speaker 5 (34:14):
And she was like, I didn't say that I was
falling in love with you. I but I am falling
in love with you.
Speaker 1 (34:19):
Oh my god, I can't say.
Speaker 2 (34:21):
Or she was like, I can't say I'm gonna be
falling in love with you because I already am. And
it's just like so desperate, and he obviously sends her home,
but you're like they would never work out because I'm
sorry to say this, she's like way too hot for him,
Like and she you could tell was just like half in,
half out. So he has Rachel, Daisy and Kelsey left.
(34:45):
I'm really ridding for Kelsey. I think they're like a
really good pair. I think he's gonna choose Daisy, and yeah,
I'm very excited for this one.
Speaker 5 (34:55):
I think, like, just like Zach, who I didn't.
Speaker 2 (34:58):
Watch the season because I couldn't be less interested that man,
But I think that Joey has like the extreme normal
energy of a guy who will take this seriously yeah
and be like, yeah, now you're my fiancee. Yeah, like
I agreddicted to normalcy agree, and like, I do think
he's enough of a catch and like such a good
(35:18):
guy that he's not like it like Pilot Pete or
like the dirtbags that have come before him, where he's
like I do think that like a girl is gonna
understand that. And I like, for me, if Joey god
Willing gave me a rose, I would like totally try
to stick with a guy like that. Yeah, I would too,
Like you think you're gonna do better than like a
(35:39):
tennis instructor who's like hot and nice and like wants
to and like remembers to ask you follow up questions
about yourself.
Speaker 3 (35:47):
It's so sad what we settle for. But I know
what you mean, but yeah, that is kind of sad. Well,
I'm excited to see what happens there. I am really.
Speaker 1 (35:59):
Excited to watch the Academy Awards.
Speaker 5 (36:02):
The Ascotomy Awards. I hope Will Smith comes in disguise
and slap someone.
Speaker 1 (36:07):
Comes in the skies. Oh no, come in disguise. Oh
as what?
Speaker 2 (36:11):
That was a tweet that someone said when he got
banned for ten years. Someone was like, what if he
came in disguise every year and slapped someone?
Speaker 3 (36:18):
That would be that would make him actually someone I
care for?
Speaker 2 (36:21):
Okay, wouldn't that be a great awards show too? If
you're like, someone is gonna get slapped tonight and we
don't know who, and like people would be on the
edge of their seats. I would love that. I would
really lived with that. I'm getting like high just thinking
about it. Someone tweeted, wouldn't it be funny if Will
Smith came back ten years later and then slapped someone again.
Speaker 1 (36:39):
That would be amazing, like iconic. He needs to consider
these things.
Speaker 3 (36:43):
And I don't know who his press person is, but
they need to be speaking to him about these things.
Speaker 2 (36:47):
I actually do know whose press person is, and I
don't think she would appreciate these jokes. But I wish
I could tell him to her. Why don't you think
she would appreciate them? I think that what the really
funny thing is I have he number, And when I
was watching the Oscars and I watched the Oscar slap,
I almost texted her as a joke and said, Hey,
what's going on? But then I literally thought, I literally
(37:08):
thought like maybe this is gonna be a thing. I
didn't think it was going to be like a cultural event,
but I was like, maybe this is actually really stressful
for her.
Speaker 1 (37:18):
Right, that's a fair thought. That's a fair thought.
Speaker 2 (37:22):
Yeah, it's always good to wait a bet before sending
a joke text.
Speaker 1 (37:26):
I would have to agree with that.
Speaker 3 (37:28):
I'm trying to think anytime I do send a joke text,
I like immediately am like, oh, just kidding, just kidding.
I don't meet Like, I don't know what the last
time was I sent that but I remember that. I
immediately was like.
Speaker 5 (37:39):
Just kidding, just a chicken butt, just kidding.
Speaker 3 (37:41):
The last time I texted some a joke, it was
guess what chicken butt? Just kidding, just kidding, and then
I said, just kidding, just kidding. So I think that
was a really good joke, and I'm actually really proud
of that.
Speaker 2 (37:51):
I'm so excited for both our moves. I think that
we both are about to start our new lives.
Speaker 1 (37:56):
Everything.
Speaker 5 (37:56):
You can't say we're not.
Speaker 1 (37:57):
You can't say everything's not going to be better and different,
because it is.
Speaker 5 (38:01):
I love you, Devon, love you.
Speaker 1 (38:02):
Carol invaunted. It was little. I want true.
Speaker 3 (38:14):
It's true, true, it's so romantic.
Speaker 1 (38:26):
Love me, baby, don't leave me, Haggen. I want true
