Speaker 1 (00:02):
To Teas in a pod with Teddy Mellencamps and cam
Ridge Edge.
Speaker 2 (00:15):
Hi guys, thank you subscribers, and welcome to Twatts flashback.
Speaker 3 (00:21):
That was great episode, wasn't it too good? Episodes two?
Speaker 4 (00:27):
Okay, I almost that show.
Speaker 3 (00:29):
Who watched that show and said we gotta make this
a franchise?
Speaker 4 (00:34):
Not even who watched that show. Who watched that reunion
and was like, we got to keep these reunions going.
Speaker 3 (00:40):
Do you know that this is the first time I
actually acknowledged the fact that Andy Cohen did not do
the first reunion.
Speaker 4 (00:47):
I know, I didn't realize that either. I mean not
no one did.
Speaker 2 (00:51):
It was just like us sitting in our living rooms,
like with our like handicams.
Speaker 3 (00:56):
It was I know, it was really bizarre. I mean
I didn't even know that. I mean, it's been that
long since I've watched season one. But the fact that
they literally didn't have a host nothing. They just all
got Vicki's backyard and like, yeah, don't Kimberly's on vacation.
Speaker 4 (01:12):
Oh it's fine, she missed the reunion, doesn't matter.
Speaker 3 (01:15):
I think she got shit. And then she decided she
wasn't coming back.
Speaker 4 (01:19):
Oh but what did she get shipped for I don't.
Speaker 3 (01:22):
Know, you know it. I love when they talk and
we'll get to it in a minute. But you know,
on the blogs on the blogs is there was no
Instagram back then, so it was the blogs on the innerweb.
Speaker 4 (01:35):
Or I've gotten at least five to ten emails a day.
Speaker 3 (01:38):
I know I died, I got ten emails saying first
of all, how did anybody get your email address.
Speaker 4 (01:45):
Or your address?
Speaker 2 (01:46):
But I will get into that when we get into
the reunion, but we have to start with episode seven.
Speaker 4 (01:51):
The air date was May second, two thousand and six.
Speaker 3 (01:55):
What were you doing in two thousand and six, teddy?
Speaker 4 (01:58):
Shit? So how many years ago?
Speaker 3 (02:00):
A long time ago, seventeen years ago.
Speaker 4 (02:03):
Two thousand and six.
Speaker 2 (02:04):
I actually think maybe I was getting married to my
first husband in two thousand and six.
Speaker 4 (02:08):
Were getting Yeah, I was getting married.
Speaker 3 (02:10):
But were you watching The Real Housewives of Orange County?
I was not.
Speaker 4 (02:16):
I wasn't I I you know, I needed Tarama to
save it first.
Speaker 3 (02:20):
Tamra saved it all right, Okay, So.
Speaker 4 (02:25):
The synopsis of this first episode is Joe Enslade continue
to have problems, Shane prepares to leave for college. I
love that. That's the entire synopsis, like, that's it, that's.
Speaker 3 (02:35):
Always it, that's it?
Speaker 4 (02:37):
Is it me?
Speaker 3 (02:37):
Or does it feel like Joe Enslade everything was scripted
for them? How different is Joe today Joe seventeen years ago?
Speaker 2 (02:47):
Well, I know now, in hindsight, I wish I would
have watched the whole season before we had Joe on
so that I could ask.
Speaker 4 (02:54):
Her more, you know, the harder questions.
Speaker 3 (02:58):
Well, she just seemed like she really wasn't into the relationship.
But if I'm not mistaken, when we interviewed her, did
she not say that he was the love of my life?
Speaker 2 (03:07):
But I feel like a lot of I mean, I
thought my high school boyfriend was the love of my
life too.
Speaker 4 (03:11):
Like when I was young, I was like.
Speaker 2 (03:13):
Oh, yeah, for sure, I had a whole nother level
of crazy when it came to relationships than I do now,
Like now I'm just old.
Speaker 4 (03:20):
I'm just barely getting by.
Speaker 3 (03:22):
Oh I was scheduled. I was a crazy bitch.
Speaker 2 (03:24):
I used to do things like I would have my
friends call my boyfriend and be like, hey, have you
heard from Teddy?
Speaker 4 (03:32):
We have it and we're worried about.
Speaker 2 (03:33):
Her, Like what, well, maybe we're all sitting together like
what kind of crazy is that? Like why why does
it not surprise me? And then like, I remember my
boyfriend asked my best friend. We were in a fight
and he asked my best friend a prom, which kind
of reminded me the Lauriate.
Speaker 4 (03:52):
The Joe situation, I mean a Slade situation.
Speaker 2 (03:58):
But yeah, so then I had to, you know, do
dirty and hook up with his best friend on prom night. Anyway,
any who, so it's after date night, Joe and Slade
slept in separate rooms and she packed up. She texted him,
I guess we are done. Please pack up everything. I
will pick up asap. Okay, I want to know how
(04:20):
long this text took to send?
Speaker 4 (04:22):
On like this old school motal give me to the
te like, do you remember how long a freaking text
message used to take to send?
Speaker 3 (04:34):
Well, we didn't really text message that much with that. Well,
I don't know remember what was it? BlackBerry? Well there's
nine that told me truly went crazy with texting? Was BlackBerry?
Right before that, we had like the flip phone that
was like.
Speaker 4 (04:49):
But I got pretty fast.
Speaker 2 (04:51):
I remember being like fast with that thing, like I
knew exactly how now I get my nails off and
I can't even text on my iPhone because it doesn't
recognize my fingertips.
Speaker 3 (05:00):
Oh my god, I might have the reverse problem, like
when I have my nails are long. I have no
nails right now, but they're long. I can't text. They
get screwed up.
Speaker 4 (05:09):
I know it's because we get used to certain things.
I mean, these are my other complaints, you know, like
my pinky's really been bothering me from holding my phone
up for so long like this that was never a
problem with the original motor.
Speaker 2 (05:23):
I can't it doesn't attach to my little wallet, I know,
and I have to have everything in one spot. Okay, fine,
But then that made me laugh. But then Joe tells
Kimberly that the engagement is off.
Speaker 4 (05:35):
It's awesome.
Speaker 2 (05:36):
She says he gets resentful when she goes out, and
she gets resentful. How she needs to stay home with
the kids when they are not her kids, I mean
slave shaming.
Speaker 3 (05:47):
Jeffer parente in her in his confessional kind of rubbed
me the wrong way because she's twenty four years old.
Speaker 4 (05:54):
And if you wanted a mother figure for your kid.
Speaker 3 (05:58):
Get somebody your own age, buddy.
Speaker 4 (06:00):
Well stay with their mother.
Speaker 1 (06:02):
So she was.
Speaker 3 (06:03):
Twenty four, and she said that he was fifteen years
older than her right when we had her on. Okay, yeah,
so he was almost forty years old.
Speaker 2 (06:12):
Well I have a question though, do you think that
she was I mean, do you think it was just
that she was too young, or.
Speaker 4 (06:20):
Do you think, like personally, it's not even about age
at this point, if any man, regardless of the age,
talk to me the way that Slade continuously talks to
her like she's like a puppy that's been injured.
Speaker 3 (06:33):
Yeah, well he gave me Simon vibes for sure. I
don't know this and that and taking the license plate
off of her car like that is just controlling, narcissistic bullshit.
But she's twenty four years old at this point, but
where she knew what she was getting into for sure.
Speaker 2 (06:53):
So I also want to know, like originally what attracted
these two to each other, Like what was like, ooh, well.
Speaker 3 (07:00):
He's playing to play the baller. I have a black
American spress. They shut down stores for me. Well, he
was one of those guys aos douchey guys in two
thousand and six seven eight before the market crashed. I
think it crashed about two thousand and eight they were
making a killing on mortgages and he thought he was
a big time baller.
Speaker 4 (07:20):
Well, I didn't even know what a black card was
when I first started dating Edwin, Like that wasn't a
thing in South Carolina or you know, I never had
one clearly. And then I remember one.
Speaker 2 (07:31):
Of our first like hangouts, we went to the Jack
in the Box drive through.
Speaker 3 (07:36):
No, he did not use his black card to Jack
in the Box. No he did not shut up.
Speaker 4 (07:46):
I remember the guy had Jack in the Box still
going wow, this is heavy, and him like looking at
me all proud and it's metal.
Speaker 3 (07:54):
Man, you can knock it on the table there.
Speaker 2 (07:57):
And I had absolutely zero clue that that meant special.
Like I never even owned a credit Like I had
a debit card only because I'm so scared of like
running out of money.
Speaker 4 (08:05):
Like I never had a credit card, had a credit card.
Speaker 3 (08:08):
My first credit card had a three hundred dollar limit
on it.
Speaker 2 (08:11):
Yeah, no, I never even I mean solely I had
my ATM just so I could order pink Dot.
Speaker 3 (08:18):
But what's pink dot?
Speaker 4 (08:20):
Oh my gosh, in.
Speaker 2 (08:21):
La pink dot is like the game changer of being
a hot mess young like nineteen to twenty two year
old in La. So what it is, it's it's before
like Postmates and Uber obviously, But what you do is
you'd go out and then you'd get home and you'd like,
either want something else to eat or to drink or
do whatever, and then you'd call this number and they
(08:42):
would deliver anything that you wanted from this one grocery
store on Sunset and they'd overcharge. And like I lived
in a studio apartment, I had no business ordering food
or drinks. Well, speaking of American Express, Vicky is upset
that Michael has taken advantage of her American Express card.
Speaker 3 (08:59):
Which was not a black cart no because she wouldn't
pay that much a year or a black cart no.
Speaker 4 (09:05):
No. He told her to work a little more so
he can spend what he wants to spend. Okay, I
I realized that my kids can be assholes, but these
kids on this.
Speaker 3 (09:19):
Particular show are beyond Now. You see why they wanted
to do a show just with the kids. I mean
they were they were complete assholes, There's no doubt about it.
Do you and I do appreciate Vicky being the same
person seventeen years ago that she is today. Nothing's changed, God,
her face.
Speaker 4 (09:38):
God forbid, somebody evolve.
Speaker 3 (09:43):
I mean they didn't have PayPal or Venmo back then.
So Vicky complained about her paying for everything. Is anybody
going to pay me back?
Speaker 2 (09:51):
Well, she said that he's paying. Also, why was he
paying for all of his friends? I never paid for
my friends because Vicky paid.
Speaker 3 (10:00):
They gave him the credit card and said do whatever, and.
Speaker 2 (10:04):
Shenso like, if you guys all hang out, and she like,
I got this, I'm covering.
Speaker 3 (10:08):
Nope, nope, nope, nope, She'll send you a Vemo request.
Speaker 4 (10:12):
Okay, like she did when she did the podcast.
Speaker 3 (10:16):
Yes, okay.
Speaker 2 (10:19):
Then we get back to Slade asking Joe if she
is sure this is what she wants to do. Joe
says he is one that walked out on dinner. He
says he walked out because of her behavior, and she
tells him to find someone else with a different behavior.
At this point, I am so proud of Joe. I'm like,
yes at him.
Speaker 4 (10:40):
He's the worst.
Speaker 2 (10:42):
And all I could think about as Joe drove away
was wait, we need.
Speaker 3 (10:46):
Your mic, we need your Oh my god. How about
when Slade takes off her license plate from her car,
thinking that I that's going to keep her there that
she won't drive off. And by the way, why does
she have a license plate that says Jay Smiley when
they've only been dating for a year and a half
and they're not even married.
Speaker 2 (11:06):
No, who cares how long anyone has been dating I
And I'm sorry if I personally offend any of you listening.
Speaker 4 (11:12):
I don't want to see a vanity plate me either.
Speaker 3 (11:14):
I said that from day one. And by the way,
if you do something wrong in that car, they're gonna
look at that plate. They're gonna memorize.
Speaker 4 (11:20):
It, just like that. Don't have a vanity plate, don't
wear t shirts with words on it. It's just stand. No. No,
that's different. That says Milwaukee.
Speaker 2 (11:30):
Like if your thing said be nice or like oh
love and light or.
Speaker 4 (11:34):
Any of that shit.
Speaker 3 (11:35):
Bad bitch. Yeah, like like my necklace, bad bitch.
Speaker 2 (11:39):
I that was really revving. But I don't like vanity
plates like I have. I'm trying to think I don't either.
Somebody I grew up with had one that said, like
as if because of like clueless. I was like, I can't,
and then my mom to embarrass me on my gremlin
growing up it said the grimster on it and Gremlin.
Speaker 3 (11:59):
Yeah, yes, yes, of course it.
Speaker 2 (12:02):
Was yeah, and it said it said the Grimster and
I was like, you're trying to ruin my life.
Speaker 3 (12:09):
That's what your plate said.
Speaker 4 (12:10):
Yes, I did.
Speaker 3 (12:12):
Every reason I see a personalized license plate, I always go,
why why are we still doing that?
Speaker 1 (12:20):
No?
Speaker 4 (12:21):
I hate it.
Speaker 2 (12:21):
Well, Edwin thinks his new car is really cool because
he can change out his license plate. It's digital, so
anything and if he wants to put anything around the
outside or like you can say, like I have before. Oh, well,
he'll tell you and Eddie all about it if you're curious.
Speaker 3 (12:38):
Oh, I'm sure Eddie will love it. I do love that.
The background music when Joe and Slade were doing there,
you know, coming back together and she's crying and I'm
so sorry, and they play that music.
Speaker 4 (12:52):
Well, when he calls her and he's like it goes
straight to voicemail again, I'm like, she's gone, this is
the best thing ever. What's going to happen?
Speaker 3 (13:00):
Called? And he called again and then.
Speaker 4 (13:02):
She walks in and she's in her high king sneakers.
Speaker 3 (13:06):
Wasn't that kind of like a bad soap opera?
Speaker 4 (13:11):
It was? I don't know, I mean with her.
Speaker 3 (13:13):
Knickers what are those pants called pedal pushers? Knickers?
Speaker 4 (13:17):
Where are they?
Speaker 2 (13:18):
Where they're Yeah, they're below the knee. I don't know,
but they're there, Arise, that's not.
Speaker 3 (13:23):
The gauchos are baggy ones. Gauchos are the wide ones. Oh, capris, capris,
that's it?
Speaker 4 (13:32):
That is it? I don't know.
Speaker 2 (13:36):
I just wonder, like, is Joe scared of leaving what
could be a better life?
Speaker 4 (13:42):
But like how could she?
Speaker 3 (13:43):
She had to go home to mom and dad?
Speaker 4 (13:46):
But so what I'd rather live with my mom and dad?
Speaker 3 (13:49):
They driving a Mercedes, all that.
Speaker 2 (13:52):
Mercedes with no license plate and all of you, all
of your Louis Vautons smashed into the bag and all
with probably some of his leftover costumes.
Speaker 4 (14:03):
Porter's paradise in that garage?
Speaker 3 (14:06):
Did you see them like hugging and crying and then
above their heads with like this is mannekin? That was
like up in the rafters.
Speaker 2 (14:13):
But then Laurie comes home to find out Ashley has
moved out. Ashley doesn't like Steve and doesn't like her
mom dating jerks. Also Steve's performance with nobody there that
was really I was kind of.
Speaker 3 (14:26):
Yeah, it was pretty sad, but I mean I would
pay money to see Laurie standing out on the street
trying to pass up ticket. There you go, big big concert, tonight,
big concert. Nobody showed up. Shit.
Speaker 2 (14:37):
Then she says she doesn't want her kids to tell
her who she can and can't date, which is really
interesting foreshadowing for what we find out later in the episode.
But also, I have a question for you, and I
know that we're skipping around, but it's because she kind
of reminds me of somebody Laurie kind of.
Speaker 4 (14:53):
And tell me if I'm crazy. I don't know if
you ever watched The Hills or Laguna Beach or any
of that. Laurie kind of reminds me of a dream
of Partridge Potridge.
Speaker 3 (15:03):
Really, I don't know.
Speaker 4 (15:05):
The way her moms.
Speaker 2 (15:07):
No, just like there's like her tonality in the way
that she talks. She's like kind of like mild mannered.
Speaker 3 (15:14):
She would always talk wait until like next the season
two and three, she talked, but she talked very slow,
and she wanted to make sure she thought about what
she was saying, like she was so in her head
all the time.
Speaker 4 (15:30):
Well, I love that when Laurie said, my kids all
hate Steve so Laurie's answer is, let's all go to
Mexico together.
Speaker 3 (15:41):
Yeah?
Speaker 4 (15:42):
Why?
Speaker 2 (15:43):
Yeah, I know, I know, But I think the main
part that I'm just still flabbergasted by is how much
these kids are in the show. It's beyond looking at Housewives.
Now we see a glimpse of them here and there,
maybe they're in a little second of a confessional.
Speaker 3 (16:03):
But I the kids were very They were a big
focus on the early seasons of Housewives, and, like I've
said ten times, like so much so that they thought
about doing a spinoff with just the kids because they
were such praps. And it gets worse.
Speaker 4 (16:19):
I two and three is worse with oh it is?
Oh why can say?
Speaker 2 (16:23):
Vicky trying to get Michael ready for college really resonated
with me because I feel like I'm going to be
the same anxious mess when my kids are getting ready
for call, like moving bags around, unnecessarily putting shit that
it doesn't need to go, wanting to talk about all
of our plans together. I did feel that the season
(16:44):
finale starts to wrap up with a party. Joe and
Slade show to Kim's party together. Joe says gossip and
kdo spreads like wild Fire. She tells the ladies that
she hopes they can get back together and make things work.
Speaker 4 (17:00):
Please, Joe, you just won me over. Why are we here?
Why are we doing this? Also, you would you ever
get back together with somebody and then not immediately put
on the engagement ring. I'm confused.
Speaker 2 (17:11):
Well, I don't know the loppy seconds, you know, the
Lori thing happened, went back to Laurie and then taking up,
do you I think that she took him back just
because she didn't want to see him on the show
with Louri. Also, I liked their two different sides to
that story, Like Slade's always following me around everywhere, He's
(17:33):
at all the clubs I am, And then Laurie's like,
well when Joe would show up where we were, even
in La. Yeah, but I think they both did. I
think Slade, even though he's significantly older, is more was
more immature than Joe at this point and doing everything
he could for camera time. And then Joe and Slade
(17:55):
broke up two weeks after Kimberly's party, Joe moved out,
Slade took back the Mercedes.
Speaker 4 (18:01):
Six weeks later, Slade started dating Lori. Two weeks after
that Joe and Slide got back together and Joe is
back driving the Mercedes. What exactly do we think the
appeal is? Is it money? Is it the C class?
I mean, what kind of classes?
Speaker 3 (18:16):
A month sea class? I had it? It was too big,
too empty. Yeah, exactly. I think it was the money.
I do because she said she had to go home
to her parents and live in her parents' house.
Speaker 4 (18:30):
And Laurie clearly was having to hustle for Vicky. But
you don't really.
Speaker 3 (18:33):
Want can't imagine nowadays if I don't know, me and
Eddie broke up and Gina started dating him, like it's
just so bizarre, like it would be a huge fight, huge.
Speaker 2 (18:46):
I then it was like, no, I know Gina and
Eddie as a couple right now, is sending me no?
Speaker 3 (18:52):
Sending me to.
Speaker 2 (18:56):
But I mean, all in all, it did I I
did get more invested, but I kind of only invested
in half the cast is what I realized.
Speaker 3 (19:05):
I mean, And it just goes to show that's like
really wanted to be on TV trying to date any housewife.
He goes on to his third housewife by season four
or five.
Speaker 4 (19:25):
But then we get to the reunion.
Speaker 3 (19:29):
The reunion now it's just so crazy that that was
the reunion, and I'm so curious, is season two the
same type of reunion because I do not remember or
does is that when Andy Cohen steps in and again
it's in Vicki's backyard.
Speaker 4 (19:45):
But I have a.
Speaker 2 (19:45):
Question, by the time you were on, did you still
did you have confessionals that were in the moment or
on the fly or whatever you call them.
Speaker 3 (19:52):
I did, I did, But then we also did confessionals
at our house that were not like they do nowadays.
Now we do it green screen. I know Beverly Hills.
I think still doesn't matter our house. But for years
we dine about the house where they take apart everything
and create a whole backdrop. This was just like sit
(20:14):
in your hallway and talk to the camera.
Speaker 4 (20:16):
Yeah. Well, even the reunion, like they're not even dressed up.
It's like it's me.
Speaker 2 (20:20):
It's us right now doing the pot like we don't
even have We're not glammed. It's like I got my
freedom smelling perm chilling out. Joe said she could see
by the episodes that Slades seem controlling. She says if
he was actually like that, she would have moved on
a long time ago, Joe.
Speaker 4 (20:39):
Then Joe said she's got ten to fifteen emails a
day from fans.
Speaker 2 (20:45):
Oh what what was her email? Joe at aol dot com,
Like I.
Speaker 3 (20:49):
Need it's probably what it is. How did they get it?
That's what I would like to know. They probably had
it on their MySpace. I probably had their email address
on their MySpace.
Speaker 4 (21:00):
Oh good point.
Speaker 2 (21:01):
But then she also brings up the response she has
gotten to her excessive drinking. Every time there was a
shot captured, she had a drink in her hand.
Speaker 3 (21:10):
Because you were drinking. You're at twenty four years old
and you were drinking. We're drinking, and.
Speaker 2 (21:14):
You know what, so were we Like, I mean, you're
on a television show making full of yourself. Of course
you're gonna drink. It's different how much things have changed.
Like women openly were harder on themselves than they are now.
Now it's like kind of hushash. If you're feeling like
you gain weight, are you feeling insecure?
Speaker 4 (21:34):
You're not?
Speaker 2 (21:35):
Like that was a time where people were just unfiltered,
Like this is how I feel like. There was even
a point where Gina Keio says, the guy haven't well no,
when she says, I haven't seen myself on camera in
a really long time, and watching myself this season, like
it's the fact that they're able to like say that
I watched myself this season in the middle of the reunion.
Speaker 4 (21:58):
But I did learn more from this reunion that I
did on the show.
Speaker 2 (22:02):
Laurie has never met a bad decision she didn't want
to make. And then she shows a pair of shoes
that she got from somebody, but she called them Manola
Balanix Manila Blanis from one of the bothers from Laguna Beach.
Speaker 3 (22:21):
Who do you think I was? Well?
Speaker 2 (22:23):
Also, I can't believe that this show was after Laguna Beach.
Laguna Beach was already airing one.
Speaker 3 (22:30):
I think, if I'm not mistaken, I think it's around
the same time.
Speaker 4 (22:35):
Well, these are our options.
Speaker 2 (22:36):
We've got Lauren Conrad's dad, We've got Steven Coletti's dad.
Speaker 4 (22:40):
We've got.
Speaker 2 (22:43):
Kristin Cavalii's dad. I mean, we should ask Justin if
it was Kristin Cavali's dad. I mean, who's I don't know.
Speaker 3 (22:50):
I don't know. I can barely even remember that show.
Speaker 2 (22:53):
If there are any listeners out here that want to
be creative. Who's the day with their fan mail and shoes?
Speaker 4 (23:01):
This is my address?
Speaker 3 (23:02):
Oh you want shoes?
Speaker 4 (23:04):
Just like that?
Speaker 3 (23:06):
She's like, they were six hundred dollars.
Speaker 4 (23:08):
They were six hundred dollars. Then we I mean, just
the reunion keeps panning to like everybody.
Speaker 3 (23:14):
It was the most boring reunion. Basically, it was a
recap of everything that happened throughout the season. It was
just a flashback. And then what they finally meet in
Vicky's backyard and Hi, how are you? Oh? Yeah, you're
a drunk?
Speaker 4 (23:27):
What about how.
Speaker 2 (23:27):
Much conversation conversation there was about Gina's son being gay?
Speaker 4 (23:32):
Being gay?
Speaker 2 (23:34):
I think at some point every man on Housewives has been.
Speaker 3 (23:39):
Yeah, oh for sure, yeah, every man who's been accused
of being gay.
Speaker 2 (23:43):
Then Vicky became critical of herself after watching the season back.
She said, it's hard to see herself being portrayed as
a control freak.
Speaker 4 (23:52):
I'm like, what did you think? Like, I know, I'm
a control freak. I'm not shocked. Yeah, who do you
think is more control? Mere? Vicky?
Speaker 3 (24:01):
Vicky? Vicky is micromanaging everything all the time. Now. Now
this is also the scene where Slade called her missus
oh no, she called herself missus piggy, right.
Speaker 4 (24:12):
She critical the one that called her that.
Speaker 3 (24:14):
So years after this, Slade went on stage at the improv,
the same improv that we did, the Trace a Megas
in Irvine, to trash me and Vicky. He called me
the michelin man. He said I was fat and put
up an unflattering picture of me in a bathing suit
from a paparazzi in Mexico, and he called Vicky missus piggy.
(24:34):
This was on camera on stage. She thought he was
gonna be a stand up comic.
Speaker 4 (24:38):
Vicky and anyone laugh.
Speaker 3 (24:40):
Everybody was disgusted by it. Vicky went on to get
a nose job and a chin implant because he called
her missus piggy.
Speaker 4 (24:48):
Oh my gosh. I also didn't know all this medical
stuff with Vicky.
Speaker 3 (24:52):
Yeah, she's had that. I can't even pronounce it, but
she's I mean, she goes in all the time. They
go in through her ear and they remove all this
stuff inside of her inner ear. If you ever noticed
when she wears sunglasses, they're cricket. That'll be one ears
lower than the other.
Speaker 2 (25:08):
Now from all the surgeries, that'll be similar to how
Dove is too because of her lambdoid creany sinistosis surgery.
Like she's her stuff's uneven as well, like her ears
and stuff. You can even tell, like when I pull
her hair back, like her hairlines different.
Speaker 4 (25:27):
Huh, But I mean it was I had absolutely no idea.
I assumed it was all just like plastic surgery stuff.
Speaker 2 (25:34):
But when she said that, I was like, oh, Okay, Now,
if you've started having surgery.
Speaker 4 (25:38):
At a really young age, like it's got to add to.
Speaker 3 (25:41):
Well she develops I think with their like tumors inside
of her inner ear, so they have to go in
and remove them. And then I mean she went in
as like a year ago and had to have stuff removed.
So it's ongoing.
Speaker 2 (25:54):
And then the reunion ends with Laura says Ashley was
portrayed as spoiled and airs responsible, but that is three
percent of the time. She also says it was Josh's
decision to expose his life to help other families. As
Josh's friends drifted back into his life after Juvie, he
was getting influenced again. She blew him quickly to her
mom's house in Idaho to keep him under check.
Speaker 4 (26:18):
I mean, do you believe it was Josh's decision.
Speaker 3 (26:20):
No, I don't.
Speaker 4 (26:21):
Where does Lauri live now?
Speaker 3 (26:22):
She lives close to me. She lives in San Juan Capistrano.
Speaker 4 (26:25):
And is she married.
Speaker 3 (26:26):
She's married to George. You'll see there at that wedding
on maybe season three or four.
Speaker 4 (26:31):
Oh, we're going to see her. Actually do we like George?
Speaker 3 (26:34):
Yeah, George is a good guy. He's he's a build.
I think he's build her.
Speaker 4 (26:39):
All right, Well, I mean that was season one. That
was season one of Real Housewives of Orange County. I
don't even think there's anything else we can read.
Speaker 3 (26:50):
I mean, do you think the standout was for this season?
Speaker 4 (26:54):
I mean Vicky?
Speaker 3 (26:55):
Yeah, I mean it was definitely Vicky's show.
Speaker 2 (26:58):
It was very I mean I think the standout for
the most I mean, without Joe and Slade's drama, I
don't think there is a show at this point. Yeah,
because it's so cringe You're like, ah, but like the
person that you that makes you.
Speaker 4 (27:13):
Laugh, there's a comic relief like that. That's Vicky. As
as much as it pains me to say.
Speaker 3 (27:19):
Yeah. So after after this season, Kimberly moved to Chicago.
The producer said in the book all Diamonds and rose
that she was asked back to do the show and
she said she wanted nothing to do with it, So
she probably was with one of those that got you know,
her ass hurt from whatever. The bloggers were saying about five.
Speaker 4 (27:40):
To ten emails a day to Kimberly at aol dot
com exactly. But either way, I I am glad we
went down this journey and if you guys want to
go down the next journey with us, we will be
watching Real Housewives of Beverly Hill.
Speaker 3 (27:58):
I can't wait.
Speaker 2 (27:59):
Season one on next we're going to rotate between OC
and Beverly Hills because if not, it just like gets
little stale. So you guys have to watch along with us.
You get the unedited versions here, no commercials. I've never
watched season one of Beverly Hills. Do you even remember
watching it, Tam?
Speaker 3 (28:17):
I don't. I don't remember it, but I know that
it was probably about Beverly Hills came on five or
six years into Housewives, the franchise and whole Oh.
Speaker 4 (28:29):
I didn't even realize that.
Speaker 3 (28:31):
Yeah, So it went from it was first Orange County,
then it was New York, then Jersey. I think it
was Jersey and then it was then it was Beverly Hills,
if I'm not mistaken something like that. So it was
already fine tuned by then. It was a whole different show.
So we're not gonna have to see this grainy shit
that we're saying.
Speaker 4 (28:48):
Are we going to see skytops? I think so?
Speaker 3 (28:51):
I don't know. I can't remember.
Speaker 2 (28:53):
Well, Beverly Hills came in twenty ten, so even like
the equipment has to be different and the oh for sure,
the the videos.
Speaker 4 (29:00):
And all of that. But I'm excited.
Speaker 2 (29:03):
I like going down this memory lane for us. And
is it memory lane?
Speaker 4 (29:07):
If you're not a part of it, what do you
what do you call it? Yeah? Memory not memory lane.
Speaker 3 (29:13):
It's what is out there for all of us to watch.
So it's a distant memory.
Speaker 4 (29:20):
Oh my gosh. All right, Well, I love.
Speaker 2 (29:22):
You, Tam and see you around Okay.
Speaker 3 (29:26):
Bye,
