Speaker 1 (00:00):
College Football Hall of Famer here LeVar Arrington. That's right.
From the earliest days, Berner's driving force has been the
desire to save lives, to provide civilians, law enforcement officers,
and security professionals with a safe, reliable, and effective, non
(00:20):
lethal alternative to traditional firearms that will allow Burner's customers
to protect and defend themselves, their families, and their communities
without the need to resort to dead leave force. I
recently had an opportunity to train with a Burner device,
a few of them, actually, and I'm excited to share
(00:41):
the details with you. But first I'd like to welcome
in the person who trained me at Berner is none
other than my guy Luon Faum super Dope do. We
had a lot of time to talk. We got a coffee,
we talked about family, we talked about protection, and yeah,
we talked about Berner. That's right. He's the chief revenue
(01:01):
Officer and chief marketing officer of Berner Technologies. My guy,
I was able to do the testing and the training
with you. We we had a really really good time
having the opportunity to hear the explanations behind what Burner
represents and and why being able to handle one of
(01:24):
these amazing self defense tools we'll call it. I thought
it was amazing there. There's different models. Just talk to me,
Lou about some of the things that you know, people
will probably most likely ask questions that I asked while
I was there. How safe is it to own a burner?
Speaker 2 (01:47):
A lev good to be on the y brother, appreciate
you coming on absolutely. Yeah. So, like you know, as
you and I are gun owners with common sense, we
felt like we had to create a product that gives
gun owners and people that aren't into guns an opportunity
to defend themselves from sixty feet away with a product
(02:08):
that looks like a pistol but delivers devastating stopping power
without having to take a life. And if you are
you have that option to grab a lethal weapon, you
have to start with a burnout first. These products are
designed to de escalated situation by offering its users different
(02:33):
types of AMMO pinetic rounds that can deliver blood force
trauma I mean it feels like you're being shot, and
then chemical agent rounds consisting of tear gas and pepper
that essentially tack the regress or central nervous systems, shutting
down their ability to breathe, inflict pain and then causing
them to be incapacity for thirty to forty minutes. And
(02:55):
that's what we want at the end of the day. Right,
If we're presented with a threat, try to plate with
verbals and less lethal, and then you have to ask
it the lethal Then you gotta do what you gotta do.
But this is a product that fills the gap. As
they say, you know, ninety nine percent of all altercations
to not require lethal force, And at the time, as
a gun owner, I was only addressing one percent of
(03:16):
the situation. What about the other ninety nine And if
you overuse force, man, you know what happens. I mean
like you're going to get crushed in court criminal and civil.
Speaker 1 (03:25):
So I think that kind of answered the question, but
I rephrase it to you so that you can can
have a go at it. What is the difference between
pulling out a firearm versus pulling out a burner?
Speaker 3 (03:38):
So the difference with the pulling on a firearm and
a burner pistol is the fact that with the lethal
firearm you have to prove to law enforcement there was
imminte threat.
Speaker 2 (03:50):
That means that someone was going to take your life
with the weapon or you're you have no other choice.
The difference with the burner is you just have to
prove threat. So even if the attacker is unarmed and
but they're threatening, you have the ability to deploy your
less lethal weapon because you're you're addressing a less lethal
(04:12):
situation with a less lethal response. And that's that's critical
in today's you know, crazy crime ridded riddled you know communities,
and you look at all the athletes out there that
dealing with you know, a lot of these types of
situations are targets for you know, crime. And Joe Burrow,
Patrick Mahomes and Tua from the Miami Dolphins recently had
(04:36):
to go out into a press conference and say, hey man,
you come to my house. I now have armed securities.
So eu very think twice. And that's that's not just
you know, relegated to high profile personalities like athletes or celebrities.
This also happens to the regular guy pulling up with
a nice car at a gas station, you know, and
the last thing you want to do is to pull
(04:59):
out a lethal weapon in a dense population and you
miss that round's going to find something or someone and
it's not that of the aggressor, and even sometimes when
it is the aggressor, you're going to be dealing with
a lot of legal complications.
Speaker 1 (05:13):
Indeed, we're talking to my guy, Lou on fam from
obviously Berner. That's right, he's the chief revenue officer and
the chief marketing officer of Burner Technologies.
Speaker 2 (05:25):
Uh.
Speaker 1 (05:26):
Let me ask you a question. It made me think
about something. If you were driving and you wanted to
feel safer and you brought a burner with you, how
does that play out? Because you talked about armed, armed,
you know, security, and and you talked about celebrities or
pulling up to a gas station with a nice car,
(05:47):
whatever it may be. How does that work Lou in
terms of having your burner in a car?
Speaker 2 (05:56):
Yeah, So burners are very accessful, Our products are legal
and all fifty states there's no background checks required, no
permits required. Uh. And I travel. I live in Las Vegas,
a Charto, California quite a bit. And when I do travel,
I normally carry both my less lethal my lethal. My
lethal have to go out in the safe because I
don't have a concealed carry permit in California, impossible to
(06:17):
get and I rock my burner, l E. And so.
Once I have the weapon loaded with the CO two
and the and the and the AMMO, that weapons ready
to go. We have a pull pierced patent technology that
allows the weapon to be stored indefinitely and when you
need to use it, you pull the trigger. It punctures
the CO two sends that first round at two hundred
(06:39):
plus miles an hour. It is the only technology in
this category that offers that. And that's why you know
we're the leader in this space. And you know, guys
like you and so and five hundred thousand other folks
have fought our products because you know they work and
they keep you out of you know, harm's way.
Speaker 1 (06:59):
I gotta say it does it does work. I felt
like it was a great alternative. I am a gun
owner as well, Lou, I have plenty of them. Uh.
And it is something that you have to think about
when you bear arms. Is the idea of what what
(07:20):
that represents to you when you have to you know,
brandish your you know, you pull your weapon out. I'm
a military kid. I make no bones about what my
my background has been. I believe in being able to
protect your family and protect your property. It's just one
of my deals. But I got to tell you, I
(07:41):
was super impressed with how easy it was to use
a burner.
Speaker 2 (07:46):
Uh.
Speaker 1 (07:46):
We used all of the models, and I like the AR.
That was my favorite. By the way, lou was was
using the ARU, but all were effective. It's seemingly I
can you can use them to just talk a little
bit about, you know, in terms of the recoil, and
I was able to use both hands when I was,
(08:08):
you know, testing it out, and just the ability that
you have to be effective, maybe even more effective than
walking around with a taser or some of the other things,
a pepper spray, whatever it may be. This to me
comes across as the best alternative to all of those.
Speaker 2 (08:27):
Yeah. Absolutely, I mean one of the benefits of shooting
a burn a pistol is that there's no recoil, so
when you pull the trigger, the gun doesn't jump violently
in your hands and you have to re acquire the
target it stay still. And then secondly, you don't need
ear protection, so there is not the craziest loud lass
(08:48):
registration that really will deafening, will deafen you after the
first shot on a real gun, so makes it super
easy not scary to use, and women elderly, you know,
people with not who don't have the dexteria to hold
a real firearm love our products for this reason. And
the most important thing about the burner les lethal pistol
(09:12):
is that there's no trigger hesitancy. I know, if I'd
have pulled my firearm and I was looking down that hallway,
lots of things will go through my head like, oh man,
it's gonna be bad, all types of you know, all
types of thoughts, and that would will create me to
hesitate or get me to hesitate. And when I hesitate,
I increase my chances of getting hurt. So with the Burner,
these are my warm up rounds before I have to
(09:35):
transition to lethal, and hopefully I can de escalate before
having to you know, hit the nuclear option as we
as we call it.
Speaker 1 (09:42):
Well, I'll tell you this and using it and hitting
those still pans. If that person is still trying to
do something after they get hit by a round or
two of that, you know, god speed. I guess I
would say to that, let me let me hit you
with this before I let you go, Lou, because I
felt like this is super important. I love the product
(10:06):
so much. I told you, listen, I want our listeners
to have the opportunity to get a hold of these
and to be able to get them there super affordable
that they would not be anywhere near a price range
that actually would make you feel as though it's out
of being able to sensibly go out and purchase one.
(10:30):
So that's one positive to it. But I wanted our
listeners that's going to hear this podcast and listen to
our shows, I wanted them to have an opportunity to
be able to purchase from you. So my whole thing is,
before I get to these follow ups, I just need
(10:51):
to acknowledge the fact that you guys actually are going
to give our listeners a ten percent discount on getting
one of these amazing Burner launchers, and all they have
to do is actually go to burner dot com and
put slash LeVar and they'll get ten percent off. Just
talk about how important it is to you guys to
(11:13):
be able to introduce Burner launchers to the general public,
knowing that it's the holiday season that's upon us and
all the things that go along with just having that
self protection. Your motivations behind wanting to make sure that
you know, people have a very very effective alternative to
(11:37):
self defense.
Speaker 2 (11:39):
Yeah. Absolutely, And in a time where we all just
want peace on earth, well, in order out peace on earth,
you have a peace of mind and you have to
be prepared to defend for whatever this world presents itself
and make sure that you protect yourself, your loved ones,
and so you get to enjoy all the wonderful things
that living in the U United States, you know, affords
(12:01):
all of us lucky souls. And so if they go
to b y r n a dot com slash LeVar,
they will get a receive a ten percent discount on
bundles that we curated based on your experience shooting with us.
I gotta say, you're you're, you're, you handle that weapon
(12:22):
very nice. I know, I can tell a real a
real gunsman versus a guy that says he, you know,
he wants to be one, but you you know, you know,
to handle your your guns. Brother. So I was impressed
with that. But yeah, so we curated you know, a
few bundles for your listeners to enjoy and again, you know,
de escalate UH and then get to safety. Do not
(12:45):
resort to uh the nuclear option unless you have to
just because one bullet can ruin many lives, and not
just the live of the person you're you're potentially shooting
innocent or vinitit bystandard or the aggressor. It's also the
people that you're responsible for, your family, your kids, and
you're in jail fighting for your freedom. Those people are
(13:09):
collateral damage as well. So make sure you do the
right thing. And you know, according to stats, ninety nine
percent of the time you need do not need to
resort to lethal force. Start with less lethal first before
you go to lethal is what we highly advise everyone.
Speaker 1 (13:25):
And to that point, you guys have used this with
law enforcement, with military, so when you're speaking to this point,
it's not just for home self defense. We want civilians
to have the ability to actually be able to protect
themselves in the manner which you just spoke of and
not losing their freedom or fighting you know, different different
(13:47):
battles that come along with using lethal force. But this
applies to our military and applies to our our law
enforcement and to UH Special service UH services provided you
know wise as well.
Speaker 2 (14:01):
Correct, absolutely, and you know you had mentioned you had
that that's earlier. What's the difference between us and electric
shockguns and pepper sprays. The fact that our weapons have
an effective range of sixty feet, so distance to us
equals safety, and so we are able to give that
police officer or that military officer the opportunity to de
(14:22):
escalate a situation from a distance. Everyone is safer and
so our our Some of our clients include the DEA
ATF Department, Homeland Security, hundreds of hundreds of police departments,
and private security firms. And the reality is the burner
is so affordable. The electric shock type guns costs five
(14:43):
times the un the cost of a burnout pistol, So
you can output five officers for the price of one
of those electric shock type you know devices. And so
we have more capacity, we have more distance, uh, and
we have more effective ammunition. So the world is now
opening its eyes to options, right, And we get a
(15:05):
lot of times like how come I've never heard of burno,
because you know, we are categorizing in the weapons industry.
But you know, when they understand that our mission is
to save lives and not take them, and then it
becomes evident that the mission is socially impactful and it
(15:26):
keeps folks, allow folks to come home to their families
and at the end of the day, that's all we want, right,
It's a go learn a living, come home and take
care of our family and live our lives. And then
when these types of threats to present themselves, do not
reach overreach for the nuclear option, because you are going
to implode your life. And that's what we're trying to
(15:48):
get out there is like, if we can get one
hundred million plus gun owners out there too, let's say
five percent of these people to grab a burner. First,
imagine how many lives it saves. And I mentioned it again,
it's just not the person getting shot, it's everyone involved
in the situation, you know. So that's that firmission, and
(16:08):
we feel like we have an incredible product that thoughts
a lot of a lot of threats without being on
you know, the local news.
Speaker 1 (16:17):
That evening, I wanted to remind all of you listening
that the best offense is a good defense. How are
you preparing to protect yourself and your family from outside
threats and the increase of crime? Well, having a burner
is a great compliment to owning firearms. And if you
or your family is in a situation where you feel threatened,
(16:41):
you need to start with less lethal What if there
was a way to effectively defend yourself and de escalate
a situation without the irreversible consequences of deadly force. Well,
there is, and it's legal in fifty states, no permits
or background checks needed. I own one. It's called up Burner.
That's right. The Burner launcher has powerful deterrence like tear
(17:05):
gas and kinetic rounds with a sixty foot range. One
shot can incapacitate an attacker for up to forty minutes.
A burner can save two lives. Burner is trusted by
over five hundred government agencies that include police departments and
private security firms. All right, so if you want to
(17:26):
get yours, visit burner dot com slash LeVar and you'll
get ten percent off your purchase. That's Burner by r
NA dot com slash LeVar for ten percent off your purchase.
I tell you what. I got an opportunity to spend
time with you guys. Knockdown guys, stand up guys. I
(17:48):
got an opportunity to shoot with you guys. That was
amazing as well. The conversations were amazing, the culture was amazing,
and the products were amazing as well. And that's why
I'm doing this fine podcast with my guy lou On
Fam from Yeah Burner Technologies. He's the CRO, which is
(18:09):
the Chief Revenue Officer and the CMO if all you
guys out there know the terminology. He's the Chief Marketing
Officer as well. I appreciate you making some time to
come on and talk to our people about this. It's
super important to me that people are able to protect
themselves and most importantly be able to d d escalate.
(18:32):
That's right, de escalate. Don't escalate it, but de escalate
any type of danger or harmful situations that may come
your way. Appreciate you coming on to the show, my guy,
and yes, we will do this again. You have my
word on that one.
Speaker 2 (18:48):
Mary Christmas, my brother and all your listeners.
Speaker 1 (18:51):
Thank you, Mary. Christmas to you as well. That is
lou On Fam as I mentioned. And yeah, Merry Christmas
and happy New Years all those things to all of
you out there. All right, we'll talk soon
