Speaker 5 (03:08):
Pick, first round pick. That is.

Speaker 4 (03:10):
That's Thursday, April twenty fourth, at eight pm Eastern Standard time,
throughout the first round of the NFL Draft, live right
here on Fox Sports Radio, brought to you by ship Station. Okay,
we got cuffs to legend coming in on the next segment,
we're gonna talk NBA. We heard TJ talk about oh
my Lakers, We're ready to make a run and all

(03:32):
that good stuff. But we still got one more because
we had such spirited conversations in the first hour. And
as they mentioned that, folks mentioned, we don't have a
ton of time within this two hour time slot to
get to everything, and we do this once a week,
so hey, hen han. But with that being said, we
didn't get to Joel Clatt. I teach Joel Clatt. It's

(03:55):
a conversation that I am intrigued to hear. Tea and
pletch your take on this particular situation. When I heard it,
I had opinions, but I'm going to listen to y'all's
first before I give mine. Here's what Joel Klatt had
to say on Shador Sanders having his jersey retired at

(04:19):
the University of Colorado.

Speaker 8 (04:21):
I don't know of anybody anywhere that has been a
more staunch supporter of what has gone on at Colorado.
You know, I am and still am by the way
what they have done and what coach Prime has brought,
what Shadur brought to the table and turned around this
program is really unprecedented because they were awful two years ago.
They were one and eleven, and they lost those eleven

(04:43):
games by basically an average of thirty points. And then
they just won nine games and finished in the top
twenty five and had a Heisman Trophy winner and they're
going to have a.

Speaker 5 (04:49):
First round quarterback.

Speaker 8 (04:50):
So like, I get it. I think that the argument
from their side, and by the way, this did not
come from Dion. This has to get signed off by
the athletic director. I talked to him today, told him
that I didn't agree with this, and he said, listen,
Shaudor Sanders and Travis Hunter changed the trajectory of our program.
They saved our program in a lot of ways. And
I understand that from their perspective, and there's certainly a

(05:10):
lot of national awards. I just think that it cheapens
what you're actually trying to do. You're trying to honor
Shudor Sanders, you're trying to honor Travis Hunter. And the
only one that all of us are going to be like, well, yeah,
I get that is Travis because he won the Heisman
with Shadoor. From the outside looking in, it's way too
easy to say would this happen if he had a
different name on his back, And I think that's what

(05:31):
then becomes a disservice to Shudor. You're trying to honor him,
and yet it's just going to bring more questions. And then,
by the way, you know, nine days before the draft,
when the narrative surrounding him and the questions from some
of the front offices in the NFL are going to
be about does he think he's bigger than our organization?
Does his family think that he's bigger than our organization?
So to throw this you know, little nuclear bomb nine

(05:54):
days before the draft, it perpetuates that narrative, which also
does him a disservice. Don't agree with it, all.

Speaker 4 (06:03):
Right, So let's let's uh, let's let's unpack this fellas
he had some interesting things to say, uh before before
I let y'all go with what y'all gonna say. We
do know that man by the name of and this
name will ring with you, probably a little bit more
plex than than tj U, A guy by the name

(06:25):
of Dion Figures, which you know I watched. Yeah, I
know you remember him, but but plex, you you, you
have a different vantage point of dist And and he's
a Steeler, he's he's you know, obviously he's he's a Steeler.
So and he was a he was a really really

(06:46):
good football player for the Pittsburgh Steelers as well. He
wore number two at uh AT at Colorado and well,
Deon Figures actually just went into the National Football Foundation
College Football Hall of Fame. Was a consensus All American,
was a Big Eight Defensive Player of the Year, was

(07:07):
a Big Eight Defensive Newcomer of the Year. So he
did it as a baby. When he first came in.
It was the first, first team, second team, you name it.
He's done some pretty phenomenal things at the college level
and his number now is immortalized. But it's not because
of him. It's because of Shador Sanders. I don't think

(07:28):
anyone will have any type of again debate as it
applies to Travis Hunter. But here we go, boom, y'all
take it. The debate starts with was this the right decision?
And does this impact Shador sanders legacy moving forward? Does
it impact his draft status in the initial right now?

(07:48):
And the president does it? How much does this decision
impact Shador Sanders if at all any.

Speaker 6 (07:55):
I don't think it's going to affect his draft status.

Speaker 5 (07:58):
Now.

Speaker 6 (08:00):
Listening to what Joel Clatt said, you gotta understand, Joe
Clatt is a Colorado Buffalo, and so when he says
something like that, being an alumni.

Speaker 5 (08:14):
You gotta listen you doing.

Speaker 4 (08:18):
That's a big that's a big quote to come from
Joel Clatt.

Speaker 6 (08:21):
You gotta listen to what he's saying is in the
early nineties, the Colorado Buffaloes were a powerhouse in college football.
Rashaan Salime, Steve Mean No, no, not Steve, Chad Brown,
Cordell Stewart, Michael Westbrooko, Charles Johnson. They had so many

(08:49):
good players. And the problem is this, this is the problem.
Those guys had to wait years, if not decades, for
their jerseys to be retired. Rashaan Salon won a Heid Trophy.
He just recently had his jersey retired.

Speaker 4 (09:10):
And he just recently got into the College Hall. He's
in my class. Rashon Salam's in my class, the twenty two's.

Speaker 6 (09:16):
And so that to me is why Joe Klatt is
saying what he's saying, like, we waited decades to honor
some of our greatest players, but we're gonna do this
so fast.

Speaker 4 (09:32):
But okay, but is he relevant? Was he more? Was
Shador Sanders and Travis Hunter more relevant? And what it
is that they they were able to do with his
Colorado team because just because we do things in a
certain way.

Speaker 5 (09:47):
Everybody.

Speaker 4 (09:48):
It doesn't mean that it has to remain that way,
and everybody.

Speaker 6 (09:54):
It's more relevant. Everything is more relevant today, everything is
more relevant. But let's just keep it a buck. Colorado
was asked before Shador and deon them got they're terrible.
Nobody was watching Colorado Buffalo.

Speaker 4 (10:10):
Football tourity, nobody was checking.

Speaker 6 (10:13):
Form Shader Sanders, Travis Hunter, Deon Sanders, they put Colorado
back on the map. If you don't like what he
did on the field, he brought them to relevance. So
just off of that within itself.

Speaker 4 (10:30):
And Sanders, let's be clear, I'm everything he doesn't.

Speaker 7 (10:39):
Since since we just keeping it, the butler man asked
a question based off of everything that you just said.
An athletic director, you know, came out and said the
things that he had to say. So what you're telling
me is that the fact that Shador Sanders and Travis
Hunter were able to come to Colorado and rejuvenate the

(11:02):
program that they deserved to have the tired absolute absolutely,
And you know what I'm saying.

Speaker 4 (11:11):
I don't think that's enough.

Speaker 7 (11:12):
But before him came question, didn't they were playing at
the University of I don't know. Just say Arizona and
they had the same exact careers that they had at Colorado.

Speaker 5 (11:28):
You think that they jerseys will be retired?

Speaker 4 (11:31):
Hey, hey, planks, do this?

Speaker 5 (11:33):
Do this?

Speaker 4 (11:34):
Why isn't t. J. Hushman Zada and Chad O Josenko Johnson?
Why isn't their jerseys retired at at Oregon State?

Speaker 5 (11:43):
Hey?

Speaker 4 (11:43):
Why why are y'all? Why are y'all? Because last chance
that didn't y'all bring didn't y'all bring the Beavers to relevance?
Didn't they didn't they go from stinking to.

Speaker 5 (11:51):
To some trip trip down?

Speaker 6 (11:54):
Hey, we're gonna give a trip down memory lane. My
first shared Oregon State was the first winning season they
had had in over thirty plus years.

Speaker 4 (12:02):
Okay.

Speaker 6 (12:02):
The next season we finished number three in the country.
They build an indoor facility.

Speaker 4 (12:07):
Okay, so how does that work? Why are y'all's jerseys?
Who were who were the catalysts of of that turnaround?
Who are what are the names? I mean, any other
or any of their jerseys retired?

Speaker 6 (12:20):
I'd be doing the disservice if I said it was
just me and Chad Man. Okay, to me and chadword
the two that had the most success at the next level.
But we it was a lot of guys. Man, y'all
know me, Man, I'm gonna get everybody they credit.

Speaker 4 (12:36):
Don't go don't do it. Don't do that. Now is
when you're.

Speaker 5 (12:41):
Was real bold about it.

Speaker 4 (12:42):
Who were the guys on that Oregon State teamj Who
were those guys?

Speaker 5 (12:48):
We had a lot of guys on defense.

Speaker 7 (12:50):
Is not gonna come out and say, you know how
Ken Simonson on running back? We have some guys now, Okay, okay, right,
so let me know. I'm gonna do this. This is
one thing that I do agree with. I believe if
you are a Heisman Trophy winner at any school, your
number should be retired. So Travis Hunter, I don't have
any problem with his number going up in the rafters

(13:13):
for the rest of his life, basically saying that this
man was one of the greatest college football players to
ever live. I don't have a problem with that. But
what I am going to say is that I don't
believe if Shador plays at the Florida Gators, or he
plays at Florida Stable, he plays at the University of
Virginia or North Carolina and goes out and has this

(13:34):
same kind of career that he had at Colorado, that
he's a he gets his with number, his jersey retired
in two years. But you're saying the fact that he
bought the Colorado program out of obscurity, as LeVar said,
and he made him relevant again, which he is. That's

(13:56):
the main reason why his number is being retired. Can't
be And man, listen, I came up in the early
two thousands. I came up in the early nineties, man,
And I remember I remember Eric being and me. I
remember Darien Hagen and Michael Westbrook and Cordell Steward and
washing these young men play football. Colorado was an absolute

(14:21):
monster back in the nineties. And to say that that
that that tradeor Sanders had a more decorated, more decorated
than what Eric Ban and me was able to accomplisate
Colorado and Daria Hagen. That's athletic director.

Speaker 6 (14:42):
The athletic director back then. He wasn't on his p's
and q's like the athletic is today. Man, That's all
I'm saying today is littid.

Speaker 7 (14:56):
Let's honor them now. They back they weren't doing it.
I will say.

Speaker 4 (15:01):
This, I will say to your point, I will say
to your point, TJ, why let the momentum die down, Like, hey,
let's be clear here, if we're really gonna get to it,
let's get down to the bottom line of it. Deon
Sanders prime, coach prime has made Colorado a cash cow.
How many years you're gonna have Deon Sanders uh going

(15:22):
this hard for Colorado? I don't know. I don't know
how many years you're gonna have him doing this, But
I will say this, you have him now. And if
I'm the athletic director, I'm looking at this as this
is my time to shine. I'm gonna build this thing up.
I don't care if they get scrutiny or I get scrutiny,
or people want to rain down on me and say
we shouldn't have did it and this wasn't the right
way to do it. There's other players that are better,

(15:43):
and this, that and the other. We're gonna make that money.
We were gonna make that money. We're gonna make ourselves
more attractive to these these uh, these players out here.
We're gonna keep going after the guys that are in
the portal. We're gonna get the best recruits out of
high school and we're going to make us around and
we're going to compete for a national title. We're going

(16:03):
to make it to the National College Football Playoff. Like,
there's so many reasons why this is the best decision
that you made. Like these new kids, these new school kids,
they don't remember none of the names we just said.
They don't remember. There's very few that you will run
up on that know.

Speaker 5 (16:23):
We know it's a business. Also, if this is a business.

Speaker 4 (16:27):
If they're our kids, they probably know older, older players
because we forced them to know it. If they're not
our kids, they know who's on MADT right now. They
know who's on NCAA College Football right now. I had
dudes at Penn State. I had a dude do an interview,
said who do you bench, who do you start, and
who's who's coming off of the bench. And it was

(16:47):
Michael Parsons, it was LaVar Arrington, and it was Abdual Carter.
And I got cut almost on every last one.

Speaker 5 (16:54):
Crazy, I got cut.

Speaker 6 (16:56):
I wouldn't even tell you because you're the oldest one.
That's why they don't know that better.

Speaker 4 (17:00):
Hey they don't care, Yeah, they don't care. They don't care. Hey, look,
I'm playing to the algorithm and and shouts out if
it's the wrong decision. Oh well, we'll see if it's
the wrong decision, But that athletic director made a business decision,
and I ain't mad at you. This is a point game.

Speaker 5 (17:19):
That's t J.

Speaker 4 (17:20):
Hudson's Eyes, plex Coe Burgs. We got cuffs the legend

we got to figure out who's who is it. Is

(20:10):
it Cuffs the Legend or is it either is it
Lowing Krown the Legend or are they both the legends.
Let's see, let's find out right now what you got islo.

Speaker 2 (20:20):
I mean, whether cuffs is whether cuffs the legend is
a legend or not. I suppose it's debatable.

Speaker 4 (20:26):
But the other half of it, but the other part, Wow,
it's clear.

Speaker 2 (20:35):
I'm getting on you guy. By the way, I thought
I was your guy too, But anyway, all right.

Speaker 4 (20:39):
You're my guy.

Speaker 5 (20:40):
I love.

Speaker 2 (20:40):
That's right. I take care of that's right. Riding riding
right on those coattails, baby. NBA playoffs are underway, with
the Indiana Bacers leading to Milwaukee Bucks twenty one to
eighteen four minutes left to play in the first quarter.
The best performance individually so far yatis Antetakoupo eleven points
in the first eight minutes of the contest. Four out
of five from the field. Stanley Cup playoffs face off

(21:02):
today at six pm Eastern is the Winnipeg Jets, so
had the best record of the NHL during the regular
season playoffs to the Saint Louis Blues. But it's been
a cold day elsewhere, however. In the NHL, the New
York Rangers have just fired head coach Peter Lobolette after
two seasons Rangers at the best record of the NHL
last season, but missed the playoffs this year.

Speaker 4 (21:22):
Adams a guy.

Speaker 2 (21:22):
Who's won the Stanley Cuppers, Yeah, won the Stanley cupp
as a head coach earlier in his career and took
another team, Nashville, to the Stanley Cup Final as well.
And the Anaheim Ducks today also fired their head coach
Greg Cronin after two seasons.

Speaker 4 (21:36):
Two Major League.

Speaker 2 (21:36):
Baseball games going on right now. Phillies and Marlin scoreless
in the second inning at Philadelphia, Tigers and Royals scoreless
in the top of the second inning at Detroit.

Speaker 4 (21:44):
Guys, back to you, all right, thanks, I Loo. Yeah,
that's a lot of interesting stuff going on trending in news,
but nothing more interesting than the conversation we're about to have.
When you hear this. You know what time it is?

Speaker 1 (21:58):
Much Now it's time to check in with Cuffs, the
legend from some dude show podcast on up on Game Presents,
Cuffs is giving you a spicy takes on what's going.

Speaker 9 (22:09):
Down the heat like Lebron and.

Speaker 1 (22:13):
Now here's Cuffs the legend.

Speaker 5 (22:15):
It's gold time.

Speaker 4 (22:19):
Leg all right. Well, as mentioned and ask promised, here
he is the legendary cuffs. How you doing. Happy Saturday
to you. What's going on?

Speaker 3 (22:34):
Hey, fellas, I'm charged up? Man, It's NBA playoffs.

Speaker 5 (22:37):
Right cuffs?

Speaker 7 (22:38):
Man, Yeah, yeah, yeah, Hey, lockdown, pac man. We might
always just get right to it.

Speaker 4 (22:42):
Man, he coming right at your neck. He can't even.

Speaker 5 (22:46):
Hey, what's going on? Look anyway? Man?

Speaker 7 (22:50):
Hey, get to the Los Angeles Lakers later, you know,
look at the broadcast. But you know, I just want
to fill in like some of these blinks, you know,
going to the playoffs. Man, listen, I really don't like
the way that the Cleton Cavaliers finished the season last
in the last couple of weeks, losing twice to Indiana
and losing the Sacramento at home. So you unpacked that,

(23:11):
and then I just really don't feel confident in the
Cleveland Cavaliers playing up against this Miami Heat basketball team
based off of how they've been playing.

Speaker 5 (23:24):
I'm telling him the last.

Speaker 7 (23:25):
Couple of weeks that the Miami Heat Heat are not
going to be an easy out and obviously will get
to the Detroit Pistons and the New York Knicks. But man, listen,
do you really feel confident in the Cleveland Cavaliers that
they gonna get out.

Speaker 5 (23:39):
Of this series.

Speaker 3 (23:40):
I mean, I can break it down to your real temple.
I can give you the quick version of flax Calves
and five Calves and five over the Miami Heat. The
Miami Heat, Davidon Mitchell has stepped up. Holly Hero is
looking like, as I've said a couple of days ago,
he might be better than Devin Booker right now. To
be honest, like a lot of people hype Devin Booker
up and they just automatically say he's the best shooting
guard in the league or one of the top two.

(24:02):
I think Kyler Hero has a lot to bruise right now.
Bam out of Biyo. He's stepping up, giving you double doubles.
The rookie khalil Ware. He's looking like another version of
Typhon Chandler. To me, great drastick for the Miami Heat,
but the cars in five it's a two horned race.
Flass in the Heat. We're gonna get Celtics and Calves
in the Eastern Conference Finals.

Speaker 7 (24:22):
Wait a minute, so you just gonna sit down and
say that the fact that Damien Little is coming back,
you just writing off the Milwaukee book.

Speaker 4 (24:31):
They're trying to lose right now.

Speaker 3 (24:35):
Man, I'm watching Look, I'm watching Milwaukee right now on
the big screen.

Speaker 5 (24:41):
And playing on the road in Indiana.

Speaker 4 (24:44):
They step right now.

Speaker 5 (24:45):
Though.

Speaker 3 (24:46):
Jannis, I love Jannis. He's doing everything he can. But
Jannis is out there with a bunch of fort lib drivers, Bro,
he doesn't have to fork. Yannis is out there with
Ryan Rawlins, you know, Bobby Porter's. You know, he's he's
like Hard Grint without the goggles. I mean you, he

(25:08):
don't have the firepower. But that's why I no clack
this summer. The trade request is going to hit like
cracking the eighties. I'm saying that the Yanni's trade request
is going to hit the streets this summer because he
wants to win. He's not he can't win with this
group of guys. Black Ball.

Speaker 5 (25:24):
That's something that that that's something that they have to
take care of.

Speaker 7 (25:27):
Uh, you know, in the front office, it ain't it
ain't his job to bring the players in to help
them to contend for a championship.

Speaker 5 (25:34):
Can we talk about when they have.

Speaker 3 (25:35):
He's won, Can we talk about the real series that
I think it's gonna.

Speaker 7 (25:39):
Be like the Detroit Line, the Detroit Pistons in the
New York Dicks.

Speaker 3 (25:45):
We can talk about that one too, because a lot
of the streets are saying that the Pistons are gonna
beat the Knicks. That's what I'm hearing. A lot of
people telling me. They putting the money. Yeah, And I
told y'all, I told y'all the young Grant Hills, Kay Cunningham,
he smells blood. Nobody scared. Called Anthony Towns.

Speaker 5 (26:09):
Who's I'm getting to say.

Speaker 7 (26:13):
I just don't think the addition of call Anthony Towns
to the New York Knicks has made them any better, uh,
getting into the playoffs, going deeper into the playoffs, I
just don't see where did the New York Knicks go
from here? If they go out in the first round
and you just bringing call Anthony Towns.

Speaker 3 (26:33):
That's a good question. I think. I think. I think
it's gonna come down that series, but the Pistons and Knicks,
it's gonna come down that If Malik bes he can
do what he did in the regular season like he
let he was one of the top two in three
point percentage. He was one of those guys this year.
Even though Malite Beeesy couldn't make He couldn't hit the
side of the barn when he played for the Lakers.

Speaker 5 (26:53):
WHOA couldn't make a shot.

Speaker 3 (26:56):
We couldn't. He couldn't make a shot when he was
a Laker. But now how you to Detroit? You know
him and Tobias Harris. It's gonna come down to those guys.
Dennis Schroeder coming off the bench. Ron Allen is playing well.
Jayalen during Isaiah Stewart, he got to stay out of
foul trouble. He gotta stay out of the drama because
we know he got a short few. He going from
one to one hundred real quick. But I'll say it's

(27:18):
gonna go seven games with Pistons in this. I think
it's gonna get a seven gamers.

Speaker 4 (27:21):
Okay, let me ask you this, let me jump in you.
We were talking about trade requests and experiments and Anthony
Towns and then you know, onto the Coupo trying to
get a trade with with Dallas the way the season
ended with UH Atlanta, the way their season ended. Are

(27:42):
the experiments done with UH, with with miss mister Glass,
Anthony Davis and with we.

Speaker 3 (27:51):
Can't we can't do that.

Speaker 4 (27:52):
I'm just saying all he could do are are the
experiments over with? With these two? Talk to me.

Speaker 3 (28:00):
I mean maybe he didn't know Ady had a fort
eighty had forty last night. He did everything he could
do for Dallas last night, even though he brawing wasn't
a hundred percent and he came back a little bit early.
But I'm not gonna, I'm not gonna. I'm not gonna
put any blame on a d at all. Kyrie has
to get healthy and if Dallas has a big decision
to make, Kyrie has a big decision to make, because

(28:22):
Kyrie has a chance to walk away this summer from Dallas.
So we're gonna see how the Mavericks gonna retool. But
I'm looking at the series that I'm really looking for
in the West, Man. I want to see.

Speaker 4 (28:32):
Hold on, no, no, no, no, no, no, don't go
there yet. Trey Young in Atlanta. Them boys got smooth
sweeped up out of the player.

Speaker 5 (28:44):
Of it.

Speaker 3 (28:46):
Yeah, I agree, I think Trey Young is boss office.
We saw last night. He kept the Hawks in that game.
He's been, he's been, He's had his head down for
a few years, walking the Atlanta Hawks reveals and you know,
they got the first pick the here Zacchary rich kid.
He played well, But I feel like Trey Young needs
to be in a bigger market like the l A Lakers,

(29:07):
somewhere somewhere.

Speaker 4 (29:08):
Oh my god, I called Lakers too.

Speaker 6 (29:11):
By the way, we don't need Trey Young.

Speaker 5 (29:16):
Yes you do, Yes you do. We don't need Hey,
Trey Young.

Speaker 3 (29:24):
Look for San Antonio to make a move because I don't.
I'm still not on the d Aaron Fox move for
the Spurs.

Speaker 5 (29:31):
Tray Young so may be a good player.

Speaker 7 (29:33):
Yeah, Fox gonna go to the Atlanta Hawks, and Trey
Young is gonna go to San Antonio Spurs or the
Los Angeles Lakers.

Speaker 5 (29:41):
Which one?

Speaker 3 (29:42):
Now, he's not going to the Lakers. Luka Donaldsons in
town now, Man, it's Luk at Magic Town Now.

Speaker 4 (29:46):
Oh gosh, what were you gonna say, t J.

Speaker 5 (29:52):
No, No, I was just gonna say something about Trey Young.

Speaker 7 (29:55):
What.

Speaker 6 (29:56):
Trey Young is a hell of an offensive player. You're
playing for your life. Last night, this dude was not
even trying to play no defense Like this last game.

Speaker 5 (30:06):
Of the season.

Speaker 6 (30:08):
I watched him close out and dude literally went right
by him and he turned and watched him.

Speaker 5 (30:13):
He didn't like. I was like, what's the same stuff
Luca Dodgers do?

Speaker 6 (30:17):
Man, Luca that not do none of that starting today?
It ain't it ain't nothing starting to doing. None of
that expectations out here.

Speaker 7 (30:24):
So you do agree that he does do it? Exactly
my point? Yeah, but ain't none of that going up?
None of that would transpire starting today.

Speaker 6 (30:33):
I'm gonna be I'm a I'm in attendance and they
just say we were pulling out.

Speaker 7 (30:39):
So what you saying basically, so basically what you're saying
today is that basically Luca Donsons is gonna walk out.

Speaker 5 (30:46):
He's gonna be a zebra with no stripes today. Is
what you tell him?

Speaker 4 (30:50):
Wow?

Speaker 3 (30:51):
What you what?

Speaker 6 (30:52):
He?

Speaker 3 (30:52):
What he's saying is, Luca is gonna move the puppies today.

Speaker 5 (30:58):
He's gonna.

Speaker 3 (31:01):
The regular season, he got playoff.

Speaker 5 (31:05):
We'll say the Lake all right, we'll say the Lakers last.

Speaker 7 (31:08):
But because let's get to the Golden State Warriors in
the Houston Rockets series.

Speaker 4 (31:12):
Yeah, that's a good one.

Speaker 3 (31:16):
So I can't wait.

Speaker 7 (31:18):
Listen, I really honestly think that the Houston Rockers are
a better basketball team, and I just think for some
reason that it's telling me, man, that the experience of
Golden State man and and their their resume, whatever what
they're able to do, come can when it comes down
to we gotta have a basket. I think this thing

(31:39):
is going seven games. I really do. The Houston Rockets
are a better basketball team and more athletic. They have
a better starting five, I would say, outside of one
person out of Steph Curve. But when it comes down
to it, the experience is gonna be It's going to
become the achilles Hell for the Houston Rockers, and I'm
taking the Golden State.

Speaker 3 (32:02):
That's a great that's a great point class because I'm
looking at it the exact same way I'm looking at
the championship peed degree of the Warriors. But I'm looking
at that that youthful exuberance of the Houston Rockets. Like
sometimes you can go into a series and you can
be a naive young team and say, look, we're not
scared of these old guys. We're not scared of Draymond Green.
You see all the gray hair on his beard. We're

(32:22):
not scared of Draymond. Now, what is he gonna do?
You're gonna get a triple single on us? What is
he gonna do so if I'm if I'm jo because
that's what I'm saying, That's what I'm saying to my
rockets in the locker room. I'm looking at Jalen Green
in the eye and I'm saying, Jalen Green, do you
want to be a household name after these playoffs? Are
you gonna average twenty five a game? Are you gonna

(32:42):
bring it? Because we already know King Goon is gonna
show up, He's an all star. King Goon gonna show up.
We want to see if Jabari Smith Junior is gonna
show up. And we want to see if Jalen Green
you got the pretty hair, you got the pretty girlfriend.
We want to see if Jalen Green gonna be a start.
That's what I think is gonna be the factor, gonna
be the ex factor.

Speaker 5 (33:02):
Cuffs.

Speaker 6 (33:02):
Let me ask you, this has nothing to do with
the playoffs. What Nico Harrison holds a press conference and
he kind of gets no. This is because people want
to hear that. They want to hear this, Nico, the
Nico Harrison press conference. The more I look at that press.

Speaker 4 (33:21):
Conference and the more you really.

Speaker 6 (33:23):
Think about the truth, is he not being forced to
do things. He's like, the ownership forcing him to do this, Bro,
he don't want to do it.

Speaker 1 (33:33):
Yo.

Speaker 3 (33:33):
I started to feel the same way because now, like
last night, I'm gonna give you an example. You saw
when the Mavericks were getting blowed out last night and
they put the camera on Anthony David and Anthony David,
Anthony Davis keeping off right, keeping off, and they putting
the camera immediately on Nico Harrison.

Speaker 5 (33:51):
His face.

Speaker 3 (33:52):
He is looking like somebody really put him up to.
He's I feel like lat out. He's the fall guy. Yeah,
the fall guy.

Speaker 5 (34:00):
Well, he made himself the fall guy.

Speaker 3 (34:04):
He's a GM by title. But I think the people he.

Speaker 6 (34:07):
Ain't making the moves ownership is making. So you think.

Speaker 7 (34:10):
That they came in ownership traded Lucas Johnson. You believe that, Yeah,
I don't believe that.

Speaker 4 (34:18):
Yes, i'muna say. I'm gonna say I agree because it's
too big of a trade to have not been blessed
by the ownerships both on both sides. I would tend
to agree with that because the has to be involved
in the trade of that magnitude.

Speaker 6 (34:30):
To being around basketball way too long to trade somebody
like Luca. Even if you don't think Luca can get
it done.

Speaker 5 (34:40):
You're not trading him.

Speaker 7 (34:41):
Y'all talk about Luca like he's just a six SSS man.
Come off the miss man. That's one of the greatest
players that we've been and that's what and this is like,
you don't trade him. That's her point.

Speaker 6 (34:52):
So ownership is liken.

Speaker 7 (34:57):
I ask one question, he rob police, you getting extensions.

Speaker 4 (35:01):
We gotta wrap this segment. Ask your question. On the
other side of the break, cuffs And by the way,
uh Paul Pierce has some interesting things to say about
if Steph Curry were to win the championship this year.
But I don't know if y'all saw that. I know
is we got up on game down on game in
the next segment. So if you're gonna work in what

(35:23):
y'all gonna work in, y'all better think about how to
do it during this break because this is Fox Sports
Radio and this is up on game and we're gonna
take a short break before we get the up on
game down on game that's cuffs to legend from some
dude show, t J. Hushman's out of Plexico burst, I'm
LaVar Arrington will be right back, all right, all right, yeah, yeah, okay, yeah,

(36:31):
So on a game, y'all, and we're in the tyrack
dot Com studios. Is LaVar Arrington. That's me, t J Husmansada. Well,
that's Panteene Man and Plexico Burst. They call him Stretch
Armstrong Yeah, the superheroes and Man. We added another superhero
to the crew. Yeah, they call him Cuffs, the superhero legend.

(36:55):
Pang Strong lineup and we're gonna finish out strong. You
know why, because well, we wanted to go up on
the stream and these shows, along with other shows that

we gotta hear how good I am. I'm making picks

(37:38):
over the guys that are on this show. So here
we go. When you hear this It's time to do
it up.

Speaker 1 (37:44):
Done for some picks?

Speaker 3 (37:46):
Are you up on game?

Speaker 5 (37:47):
Let's creak this up.

Speaker 1 (37:48):
Let's back it up down on game?

Speaker 4 (37:52):
All right, bo, we got cuffs in on this one,
So I add somebody to my domination list of TJ
and plex. Let let's let's get to it. What you
got all right?

Speaker 9 (38:02):
We're gonna start here with the Clippers headed to Denver
to take on the Nuggets. The Nuggets a two and
a half point favorite today, the total currently said it two.

Speaker 4 (38:14):
With you, I'm gonna take the over, take the over
on this one.

Speaker 5 (38:19):
Okay, who you got them?

Speaker 4 (38:21):
Who do I have between who?

Speaker 5 (38:23):
And who? Oh?

Speaker 9 (38:24):
My Clippers and the Nuggets. Dinner's a two and a
half point favorite.

Speaker 4 (38:27):
Yeah, I'm gonna take the Nuggets.

Speaker 7 (38:28):
Oh man, Oh that's easy man. I'm taking Denver Nuggets
lost angles. Clippers are going to Mile High Denver minus
two and a half.

Speaker 5 (38:37):
The Denver Nuggets went by twenty first.

Speaker 4 (38:41):
I'm taking over under, I'm taking.

Speaker 6 (38:44):
Over the point first game of the series in Denver.
I'm gonna take the home team, Denver Nuggets, and I
will also take the over.

Speaker 5 (38:51):
Well, there you go, say y'all.

Speaker 4 (38:53):
Trying to be like me what, let's hear what Cuffs
has to say. Cuffs coming in in the in the rear.
I'm telling you he gonna say the same exact thing.
There we go. Watch.

Speaker 3 (39:01):
Yeah, I'm going I'm going different. Nuggets man at the crib,
I think yok Is gonna have a big game. He's
gonna dominated blog. But I think it's rustall Westbrook time,
y'all Westbrook redemption, revengeful. I'm taking the Nuggets money line
and the over on the point and over.

Speaker 4 (39:17):
Okay, all right?

Speaker 9 (39:18):
Next up, the Timberwolves come out to LA to play
the Lakers. Lakers a four point favorite in this one,
the total at two sixteen, and TJ will starve with you.

Speaker 6 (39:27):
You already know I'm going with the home team. Now.
We will win this by about ten to twelve points
two sixteen.

Speaker 5 (39:39):
It's gonna be an offense shoot.

Speaker 6 (39:40):
I lo'll Gon gonna give us about thirty three. Lebron
gets about twenty seven, Austin Reason gives about twenty four.

Speaker 5 (39:45):
I'm taking the Lakers and the over. Oh man, hey,
guess what, Hey, the ant man is here.

Speaker 7 (39:52):
Uh, this is a legacy opportunity for him. I'm looking
for this series to go seven games. I'm taking the
Minnesota timber In seventh. The ant Man would deliver a
Dominique Woolkins like performance in nineteen eighty eight against the
Boston Celtics with forty seven points. So I'm taking the
Minnesota Timberwolves and I'm taking them to win the whole series.

Speaker 4 (40:14):
Oh wow, go ahead, coms what you got?

Speaker 3 (40:18):
Yeah, you already know who I'm thinking. Man, I'm taking
the Lakers of LA. They should win this game by
at least kem. Like TJ said, Luca's gonna have a
triple double in his first LA Lakers playoff game. Lebron
James already know. But the X factor is gonna be
ruye hokya moron ruey hoky morre. I'm taking the Lakers

(40:38):
money line to win straight up.

Speaker 4 (40:41):
Huh. Don't you have to be the not the favorite
to take the money line? No, no, no, the Lakers
aren't favorite.

Speaker 3 (40:52):
I think they're.

Speaker 5 (40:54):
Yes favorite favor.

Speaker 4 (40:56):
Well, I'm taking the Timberwolves, taking the Timperwolves to win
the game. I think that. I think that as as
my mad Plexico says about some of the teams, we
talk about this team, this Lakers team could be fools
scold and I think that the Timberwolves may take them
out in the first round of this playoff series as well.

(41:19):
I'm taking the Timberwolves and I'm taking the under. I'm
taking the under on the points legacy, all right.

Speaker 9 (41:26):
Last one here the Warriors, the real fools Golden this
playoffs against the Rockets Houston. Wow, Houston a one point
favorite here he totally two twelve and a half.

Speaker 7 (41:36):
Hey, being the fact that that's a one point game.
In the betting world, nobody has any idea who's going.

Speaker 5 (41:42):
To win this basketball game.

Speaker 7 (41:44):
So I'm going with the light skin assassin from North Carolina.

Speaker 5 (41:47):
I'm taking the experience.

Speaker 7 (41:49):
I'm taking as cuffs, you say, the stack the saganaw
strangling Draymond Green. So I'm taking the shootout and I'm
taking the Golden State Warriors.

Speaker 6 (42:00):
Second thing, going to Houston Rockets in the under. I'm
taking the Houston rock them young fresh legs. I'm going
with the Rockets in under.

Speaker 4 (42:08):
Oh gosh, the young fresh flex what do you sing?
I'm taking the same exact thing that Plex get to
go ahead, cups, you got it?

Speaker 3 (42:17):
Yeah, I'm going with the Houston Rockets. Man, I'm going
with the you Jalen Green has the best hair in
the series, and I'm going with the Istamboul Turkey Strangler
in the rocket.

Speaker 4 (42:32):
All right, man, that comes the legend from some dude
shows Plexic Codes TJ. I'm LeVar Man. Jonas Knox is
coming up next. You'll you'll be able to listen to
the Jonas Knocks Show, you know, obviously the show that
comes after ours, you know, after we done tore down
the buildings. But we'll see if Jonas has something that's
left for him to get off the you know, get

(42:54):
off the meat of the bone. But anyways, we're out
of here, and you know what, good luck to you, Jonas,
because we're out of here. Up day, alright, Fox Sports Radio,
We're out of here.
