Speaker 1 (00:01):
Twine Down with Janet Kramer and I'm Heart Radio podcast.

Speaker 2 (00:06):
I feel like every every time we get engrossed in
a new TV show and then we get to the
last episode and it stops a piece of soul die
for a few days. I was like, Okay, what we're
going to watch? I mean, it's sure I refer to
I refer to White loas.

Speaker 1 (00:24):
Yeah. So I actually reached out to my so I
have a group chat. It's called Badass Babes. It's my
agent at William Morris, my two acting managers, and then
Catherine's on there and I texted. So after we finished
watching the finale of White Lotus, I texted them and
I said, I really need Mike White to meet me

(00:47):
because I think i'd be I was like, wait, actually,
I'm just going to read it verbatim, and this is
going to probably make me sound silly, but whatever.

Speaker 3 (00:56):
Okay, it says, babe.

Speaker 1 (00:59):
Girls, can Mike White get to know me and hire
me for White Lotus. I just really need to be
on that show. Thanks. I sound like a ha because
every time I watch it, I'm like, I.

Speaker 3 (01:10):
Just don't send a little at the end.

Speaker 1 (01:12):
Well, it's my insecurity. I am being serious. But I'm
also because I get a little not insecure. Well may
I guess it's a piece of insecurity because obviously what
actor doesn't want to be on white lotus is.

Speaker 2 (01:24):
The fear of someone coming back and saying they'll get
in on that. I'll not get not a chance.

Speaker 1 (01:29):
Friend, and my people are so honest with me that
they would say that, which is why I would say ha.
But and guess what they did. They all laughed at it.
That was the funniest piece, So they laughed at it.
My manager goes, yes, oh my god, dream job. We
are always keeping our eyes peeled for that. And then Alex,

(01:49):
my agent, goes, I actually pitched you for this season.
Mike White has a very particular process for this that
no one seems to understand besides him and his producing partner.
And I said, well, I think I just would be great.
I didn't, Oh I did. I I sent instead of
saying ha ha, I sent the crying face emojiz. And
then she my agent goes, Berlin is what I heard

(02:12):
for the next season, or someone said I heard next
season is shooting in La anyone else hear that? And
then my agent said, Berlin is what I heard, and
then I go, well, I speak German fluent. I actually don't.
I can. I can hold a conversation with someone semi
like I can say the same thing. Well, I will

(02:32):
be I'm already learning, like I'm back on Rosetta Rosetta stone.

Speaker 3 (02:36):
Let's just get out.

Speaker 1 (02:39):
White. I am fluent in German fluent. My nanama is yama.
I have a spons wound. Yeah, I guess what you said?
And now people can't understand me. Who knew?

Speaker 3 (02:55):
So the only Gemini was fisible?

Speaker 1 (03:00):
Is that what I say? Football and soccer? Okay, good job, babu.
Well is I love you? And then you'd say, oh,
I love you too? Yeah, you didn't say that.

Speaker 3 (03:16):
Bad.

Speaker 1 (03:16):
Everyone always that's one of my things too, sidebar. Everyone
always makes fun of German accents, and I think it
can be beautiful. Having said that, Yes, when you sit
down and you hear a bunch of German like my grandpa,
my grandpa Martin, I mean, he was born in Germany
and he took the boat over and he actually met

(03:37):
this kind of sweet story. He met my grandma when
they were in school to learn how to speak English,
and that's how they met. So sweet. Uh. But anyways.
But he, I mean he he'd be Martin, Why you
doing that? But I was like the apple of his eye.
He loved me. He was like my Nayana so sweet. Anyways,

(03:59):
he loved me the most. Anyways, So I share this
history with them. Long story short is, I would love
to be on White Lotus. I'm going to put it
out there into the universe. It would be so fun.
I kind of like the Michelle Monaghan part would have
been great. I loved that. But I also think season
two would have been I would have loved to have
been in that too. The I always forget her name,

(04:22):
but uh with that little coupling would have been fun.

Speaker 3 (04:27):
Yeah. It's also the locations and what they fil them
as well.

Speaker 1 (04:30):
Ah, I mean a couple of months and some beautiful
because a lot of those places are four seasons.

Speaker 2 (04:37):
Yeah, so I think Mike Waite needs a Scottish guy
that's not getting the actings feedings and just needs to
take a chance on them.

Speaker 3 (04:43):
All right, Mike. I mean, I'm favorite location, what season? What?

Speaker 1 (04:51):
Hands down? The first one is by far I think
the best.

Speaker 2 (04:53):
I would actually watch that. We're just seeing that Detroy
last night. The nights Ago, I would actually watch the
season again.

Speaker 3 (05:01):
Yeah, I think it was Hilardius, the guy the general
manager of the hotel.

Speaker 1 (05:05):
So funny, amazing, so so funny. And everyone said this
last season was kind of boring. There was a few
things that were very controversial, which was hard to digest
some of those scenes. But I loved it. To me,
this is one of those shows where I just I
think it's all very interesting. I think Mike, which is crazy.

(05:26):
I didn't know he was even he was on Survivor.
That's how it was like his first thing. So I
just I find him very fascinating. His brain and he
writes directs them all, so putting it out there, let's
do this. Let's go, Mike. I'm ready. I'm going to
write a whole synopsis. This is going to be I'm
putting this so out into the universe that this is
like when I wrote I wrote ABC because I was

(05:50):
so dead set on being Jonathan Taylor Thomas's girlfriend in
Home Improvement that I wrote a full letter to ABC
on why and this is here my pitt Treddy, What
age you at this point? I was thirteen. You gotta
hear me out, though, I so I tracked down ABC
their address, and I no joke, this is this is
the best story. I actually never share this. I was

(06:13):
so in love with JT. T. I mean I had
the uh the teampper that was one of the sons.
He was the older son, old Yeah, he was similar.

Speaker 3 (06:26):
Yeah, I kind of remember.

Speaker 1 (06:27):
That was Zachary. That was Zachary tie Brian. Then there
was the younger one, and then there was JTT John
Thomas the top one, right, so the older one. So
I was obsessed, had all a team Bopper, big bopper
whatever all over my walls. I tracked down the ABC.
I mean there was a it was like a book.
That's how I got the address. So I I write
an email and this was my pitch to them, my pitch.

(06:51):
I'm sorry, no, I mean I wrote a letter. I
wrote a letter, sorry, wrote a letter, A handwritten letter.
So I pitched that I should be the niece of
the neighbor of Tim Allen, so you know how the
guy that's always over sense I should be his niece,
and JTT falls in love with me because I'm the
niece of the neighbor. Brilliant idea, so good. You know

(07:14):
what I got back from ABC?

Speaker 3 (07:17):
Nothing?

Speaker 1 (07:18):
No, not nothing, I got a signed poster of JTT. Thanks,
I hope you love the Lion King. I guess it
was like about Simba. Yeah, that's my story about JTT
and really pitching that. So I think I should write
I need to write a letter to Mike White and

(07:41):
tell him my idea of what I should be for
that season, because I think one day it's gonna work.
I think we have enough, Uh, we have enough drive
to go. This is what I should and I think
I would love to get if I was in that position,
I'd love to say, you know what it on that
person for trying so hard to be in something.

Speaker 3 (08:02):
Let's meet them face to face.

Speaker 1 (08:04):
Yeah, yeah, absolutely, at least gave me an opportunity to audition. Yeah, anyways,
what a story. Oh oh well, Hannah just had to
just pipe in on this one. She goes, these are
there are some very sexual scenes in that show though.

Speaker 3 (08:24):
Yeah, there are, especially the incest ones.

Speaker 1 (08:26):
Yeah, that was rough to action.

Speaker 3 (08:28):
I'm glad that we'll make White that not believe I've
old to them. I'll show them.

Speaker 1 (08:35):
Yeah, that's rough. That's a that was that was that
was tough to watch that, But listen, I think those
are one of the those are one of the roles
where that moves needles, and that's when we have the
conversation that this is a huge opportunity and if I
have to get naked, I'll get naked for this one.

(08:59):
Great naked, But like totally I don't think they've gone
oh they showed, have they gone totally naked in white lotus?
I can't confess. I mean, honestly, they're showing people's dicks
left and right in the shows and I'm like, I'm like,
for what reason why?

Speaker 3 (09:15):
Yeah, there's no reason.

Speaker 1 (09:17):
Yeah, they just used to just show. Just got in
the chat say they show a lot of dong. I
just don't see the point of it. Like it was
I will say this, the part that was funny showing
the penis was when Steve's on. Steve Zon's character was
like super was it Steve's on where they showed that
was hilarious? That was see that Like when it's a

(09:38):
comedic beat, I think that's funny to just show a penis,
iem like for what reason? But if there is something
like that, I think, don't you think that's a show
worth a conversation? Like if there is a sex scene
and that that's worth because I think it's always a conversation.

Speaker 3 (09:53):
I'm happy to open a conversation on most things. Yeah quickly, A.

Speaker 1 (10:02):
Yeah, I don't think you would shut this down. I
think I think this would be one of the roles
that you you're not gonna like, but you are, would
be so excited for me.

Speaker 3 (10:15):
I don't know how hard you work.

Speaker 1 (10:18):
All right, So, dear Mike White, I don't know what
the part is yet.

Speaker 3 (10:22):
But you need a Scottish guy.

Speaker 1 (10:26):
But I'll see you on next season in Where are
We Dreaming? Yeah, I don't feel I'm not feeling Berlin.
I feel like it's somewhere else, Scotland. Heyo, there we go, there,
it is there, it is.

Speaker 3 (10:43):
You can't You can't go from Hawaii to who why
not to Tuscany?

Speaker 1 (10:53):
Oh some me the school, sure can. People are gonna
get real depressed there with all that rain. I have

(11:13):
a question for you, babe, just speaking of talking through things,
because obviously we we talk through a lot of stuff,
and we've recently talked to we've recently Hannah No, I

(11:34):
think because I think it's a good conversation about it.
We've we like we we we we also talked to
someone else. We we.

Speaker 3 (11:49):
Go to therapy, yeah, not as a reactive thing, as a.

Speaker 1 (11:55):
So I'm curious because it's something where I think we
do a really good like we're we're when we're solid,
it's like we're just like such a team. And sometimes
there's things where when we get heated is where we
might like it's to help us not get to a

(12:17):
place of of heated, right, And so it's like, all right,
what's going on with you in this moment? What's going
on with me in this moment? Because sometimes I feel
like it's so easy to look at the other person
and even our therapist is like why why do we
start with them thinking automatically like they're like not something positive? First,
like oh, I can't believe they're doing this, Like don't

(12:38):
they know they should be doing this?

Speaker 2 (12:39):
And it's like, oh, why can you not just think
of the best of that person at that thing? Yeah,
And I think that is a good it's a good point. Thanks,
We'll finally get to the point well.

Speaker 1 (12:53):
Because I think people think about there like oh, they
must have problems. It's like no, we I've you know,
we go what like maybe once a month about Yeah.

Speaker 2 (13:02):
I think it's also there's different reasons people go to therapy, right,
and people individually have their own issues and problems to
deal with. I think we made the decision to go
through therapy because it allowed us to allowed me to
delve deeper into you and you have to delve deeper

(13:23):
into me and found common ground in certain situations because
it points it's it's more like ninety nine percent of
the time, it's amazing. And then when you get triggered
and I get triggered, it's like two bullets colliding into
each other. Your triggered behaviors come in and my triggered

(13:44):
behaviors come in. So it's it was more to I
want to know you on a deeper level from from
that sense and for you to recognize certain things of me,
which is why we do it. And I think it's
important to have someone with more within a knowledge and
expertise in the middle to mediate that m H. And

(14:05):
it's not like like everybody's got growth in life and
the whole thing about a therapy, I think it's actually
a really intelligent and powerful thing that we go and
do it even though we don't have any major issues,
because that's when normally when people go, yeah, we're doing
it in a way that okay, we're intelligent. We're getting
to know each other's history and delve deeper into that

(14:28):
so that we can monitor and address our behaviors.

Speaker 1 (14:33):
Yeah, because I think there's something well I like to learn.
Like for me, it's a learning experience about.

Speaker 3 (14:40):
The only thing is when we go we always go
in the back of an argument.

Speaker 1 (14:44):
Oh, I know, it's always like to darn it. We
were so like, it's been three weeks of just bliss.

Speaker 3 (14:50):
We get therapies, that's what it is.

Speaker 1 (14:54):
No, but it's I always learn something about you and
it that makes me Oh, I could see why you
would totally think that.

Speaker 3 (15:02):
Now, yes, would be gruel.

Speaker 1 (15:04):
Yeah, Like I kind of brought this up a few
weeks ago with the girls, but about why it was
important for me at the softball game, you know, to
be so focused on Jolie and you were like, why
why were you upset that? I you know, you called
me over to help with Roman and so it's like
being able to dissect that in therapy and go in

(15:26):
my heart and it was well, I didn't have that
support by my from my family. So that's why I'm
super laser focused on it, and so I think it's
I think it's a really good thing. And yeah, it's
most people go when there is some big explosion. And
I like the fact that we're able to go all right,
this is our our our monthly check in to go,

(15:47):
how is it working? Where can I do better? Where
can I learn? Where can I grow? Because if not,
then it's just you can build up resentment. And what
I've learned from past is that built up resentment will
eventually explode.

Speaker 2 (16:00):
Yeah, and I think the relationship has grown because of
the I have more clarity on where your head goes
in celt in situation, and hopefully you have more on
my mind goes I either baseball, softball situation.

Speaker 1 (16:17):
Yeah. You know it's interesting though that I've learned and
I don't know why, but I how I react now
is very different to how I react how I reacted
in my past. So like if something were to happen
in my past, I would react immediately. I would get
you know, super in the face and defend and fight

(16:40):
and you know, just want to hash it out. And now,
through my work, you know, I've realized that that serves
no purpose when anyone's heated or in the red. So
I it's not that I shut down, but I just
I back away and just have to process and calm down.

(17:01):
But how you which I'm actually glad because you are
kind of me back then, like you want to resolve
right away?

Speaker 3 (17:10):
Yeah, I hate things lying. I think.

Speaker 2 (17:14):
I think still negativity is it can quite easily turn
into toxicity if you don't address it. So therefore I'm
the one that tries to You've probably dealt with it
load more than what I have when it comes to that. Right, Therefore,
you've got your emotional intelligence around.

Speaker 3 (17:33):
It's probably heightened and grown. Right. I'm not saying that
I don't Oh, I'm not saying that I always handle
it badly, But I still want to find a solution
because I don't want to be sat in negativity in
the house, whereas you're happy to walk away let it lie,
whereas I'm like, no, I knocked on the.

Speaker 1 (17:52):
Door and I'm like, ah, I just don't think anything
anything will get solved when people are in like in
a in a in conflict, you have to just like
I believe, to take you just need to take a beat.
I agree, and I think that's you know, certain things

(18:13):
and tools for us to be able to be like, hey,
let's not talk about this now, but let's revisit. It's
always let's revisit it because you can't again you don't
want to build it up.

Speaker 2 (18:22):
Yeah, and that's a part of Okay, maybe this has
come up, but we're good. Yeah, long term, we're good.
We'll say for all right, no one needs to panic here. Yeah,
so let's let it live and hover.

Speaker 1 (18:34):
In so you know, when Mike White does call and
we have to talk through, that could be one of
the things like this is you know, we can bring
it to our monthly our monthly meeting and said, listen,
I got offered this part, and.

Speaker 2 (18:47):
That's when I'll give the therapist a brown envelope with
some cash in it. In fact, me, on this, you
would corrupts Sweden comes in.

Speaker 1 (19:00):
You know, it could be fun. Is because I always
love couples retreat, that'd be it probably just because I
love therapy, but I think that could be kind of cool,
a couple's retreat, Like oh no, well, yes, do you want.

Speaker 3 (19:14):
Some guy behind you going boom boom.

Speaker 1 (19:17):
No, yes, you, but I to two things. Would you
ever do a couple's retreat? Like a therapy retreat. And two,
I think what loaders should do that and I would
like to be in it. Think would you do it?
Or do you think it's over kill?

Speaker 3 (19:34):
I don't know.

Speaker 2 (19:35):
It's a good question because then the point of conversation
a lot of the days could be around what the
couples are experiencing, and some couples might not want to
share that information that might become awkward. Yeah, I think
in theory it's a good idea, but I think here's
what here's what I don't like about it. Right, if

(19:56):
you're doing a couple's retreat and it's like a couple's
therapy retreat, and let's see, you're doing it with five
other couples, a lot of people could think that these couples,
you'll get into this and there's there's there's weakness in
your marriage. So then you get some rat within the
couple's retreat that tries to that tries to sniff that out, and.

Speaker 1 (20:18):
Yeah, a good White Lotus episode right there.

Speaker 3 (20:21):
Someday ends up getting a slap one day two.

Speaker 1 (20:23):
No, I mean personally, I think I've always wanted to
do those retreats solo. I think those would be really
fun to do, like those Robinson you know, what is
his name, Tim Robbins, like those like I think that
that was could kind of be fun. But I I
would just want on vacation with you. And I'm like,

(20:43):
I don't want to talk about any issues here, you know,
it's just a question.

Speaker 3 (20:49):
Just thought, let's just go on vacation room mates.

Speaker 1 (20:51):
Yeah, no, no, I would prefer to do Yeah, I.

Speaker 3 (20:56):
Would sind of a set of a couples retreat.

Speaker 1 (20:59):
Yeah, I would. I would just want us. I like
to just when we have time together, which is very
exciting because we are going to Paris in the fall.
I've never been to Paris. I'm so excited that I'm
doing a Wontree Hill convention and I am so looking
forward to that trip. I told you all on the
other day, I'm like, I just need to have something

(21:19):
like that on the books, and I'm so excited because
we're going to make a little mini VC out of it.

Speaker 3 (21:26):
Another thing which shall not tell me about.

Speaker 1 (21:28):
Oh yeah, I also have a little surprise for our
one year wedding anniversary because this is the this is
the first year ever of having an honest, loving year
anniversary like I've never had that literally I started to
think about that. I'm like, I've never had no one

(21:51):
has been faithful that I was married to in a
year ever ever, because you got to think he met
his affair girl on his bachelor party and they slept
together our entire first year. I found out like two
months after our year anniversary. So I'm like, I was like,
I've never experienced this for a year, and we're gonna

(22:14):
celebrate and we're going to go somewhere magical that we've
both never been for three nights. I'm so excited. And
I'm not telling you. We're just gonna show up at
the airport and we're gonna go. All I can say
is in the United States, and it's gonna be so
fun and I cannot wait.

Speaker 3 (22:30):
Stay channing, I just tell me what's the pike?

Speaker 1 (22:33):
So if we cannot do couples therapy. Before having said that, though,
I'm just gonna say I'm a big advocate. Like I said,
I feel like you always walk out stronger go into therapy.

Speaker 2 (22:42):
Yeah, it's funny because the only issue I have with
it as we walk on now on this atrafice is Okay,
what card am I using?

Speaker 1 (22:48):
Oh yeah, no, I told her. Stop saying that because
it triggers something within you. But just FYI, okay, well,
on that note, chat with your husband see how he
feels about couples there. And watch White Lotus because it
was really fun, especially season one.
