Joe Biden is an imperfect candidate. But right now, he is the candidate we have. This is it - we are standing in the face of full-on authoritarianism if Donald Trump wins this election.

Speaker 1 (00:11):
Good morning, peeps, and welcome to wilk F Daily with
Meet your Girl Danielle Moody, recording from the Home Bunker
posts Debate fucking Thoughts and buckle up because, oh my god,
we're in danger. So I woke up this morning and
my fucking god, what a disaster. I have to tell

(00:35):
you that for several months now, when the Biden administration
decided that they wanted to do this debate early, and
it was off the heels of his really strong State
of the Union address, which had also really low expectations
of him doing well or you know, essentially fucking being

(00:57):
wheeled in. That's basically what folks were saying. We were
blown away at the State of the Union, right, because
I think that the expectations were so low that basically
we were anticipating what it was that we got last night. Friends,
I cannot express to you, before I even dive into

(01:19):
my thoughts, how much fucking trouble we are in as
a country, Like, how much trouble we are in as
a country. America is in danger. Three hundred and thirty
million plus people live in this country, and these are
the two best candidates that we have, right, And I
you know, look, Joe Biden, by all approximations, has done

(01:44):
a really stellar job in a really difficult climate. He
came in to a country that had been ravished by
COVID nineteen, whose predecessor told us all to shoot, bleach
up our ass right, or shine lights as a way
to get rid of COVID nineteen. There was no vaccines available, right, So, like,

(02:08):
remember where we were. Also, you know, the capital had
been ransacked on January sixth, twenty twenty one, just days
before Biden would be inaugurated. So I want folks to
like take the time machine back with me to where
we were in twenty twenty one before we get to

(02:29):
where we ended up last fucking night. Okay, So where
we were in twenty twenty one was at that time
close to five hundred thousand Americans had died of COVID nineteen. Right,
we'd had a memorial the only one, by the way,
that we have had since the beginning of COVID to

(02:49):
recognize this devastating global health pandemic. Donald Trump had tanked
our economy. We were teetering on the way to a recession,
if not depression esque. Right, Yes, inflation is incredibly high
but also Joe Biden put together the infrastructure bill, right,

(03:10):
Joe Biden started to say, we need to relieve student
loan debt because our students, our young people, are fucking
suffering and they are never going to be able to
contribute to this country in any real way because they're
under so much goddamn debt. So folks like I just
want us to remember where we were so that we

(03:31):
understand where we are right now, which brings me to tonight.
Last night, Like, I did not have high expectations, Okay,
I did not think that Joe Biden was going to
come in and rip open his shirt and like be
Superman to save the day. I certainly, however, did not

(03:51):
think that Joe Biden could possibly look any older or
sound any older than he already is. I am not
an agist. I like for there to have been a
younger candidate for this country to showcase like progress, us
moving forward with youth and vigor. Absolutely, but that's not
the cards that we have been dealt. Right, So at

(04:15):
the end of the day, I'm like, Okay, let's just
swallow it, right, Like, we'll swallow it. It'll be fine,
because I mean, all we have to do is show
the American people just how fucking dangerous Donald Trump is.
But then polls start coming out, and you know, if
you listen to WOKF Daily or The New Abnormal or

(04:36):
Democracy Is any of my shows that I don't put
a lot of stock in polls. But when polls start
to come out where they say that most Americans think
that Roe v. Wade was overturned because of Joe Biden
and not because Donald Trump won. And I use that
in air quotes the twenty sixteen presidential election, which gave

(04:57):
him the ability to appoint not one, not two, but
three right wing Supreme Court justices, right, like, that's why
the fuck we're here. But a majority of Americans who
are not as in touch and in tune as all
of you that are tuning in right now, folks, they
think that Joe Biden is the reason why we lost

(05:17):
Roe v. Wade. This is why education is so fucking important.
This is why it is so important for people to
understand right how fucking government works, and why you have
like right wing folks trying to gut our education systems
so that they can dumb down the fucking constituency to
their levels. But folks, let me explain to you three

(05:41):
Supreme Court justices, right, Why, let me tell you because
Mitch McConnell stole one seat from Barack Obama. Barack Obama
did not fight back, did not take fucking Mitch McConnell
and the Senate to court for disallowing him the constitutionally
afforded ability into a point a Supreme Court justice. Democrats

(06:04):
just kind of shrugged and let that go. Do you
think that if Republicans had been in the same position
and Democrats had had the ability to hold up a
fucking Supreme Court appointment that like they would have just
been like, oh, I guess you know, Democrats don't want
us to do it, so I guess we won't. That
was one seat, right, then you had the two others.

(06:27):
The second one of those, Justice Amy Cony Barrett seat
was rushed through after after Joe Biden won the fucking election. So, folks,
Republicans fucking stole three Supreme Court seats. That's how we
got here to a place where every day we are

(06:50):
waiting for the Supreme Court to close their session with
baited breath, with knots in our fucking stomach, to see
what rights they are going to rip away from us
now because guess what, president doesn't exist. But in last
night's debate, did you hear them talk about the Supreme
Court in any real way? Did you hear those two

(07:10):
fucking idiot moderators. I don't even know if you can
call them moderators. Basically, they worked as an equivalent of
a mic stand on a fucking stage, just like there,
because they didn't fucking fact check, They didn't ask really
pertinent follow up questions or questions that actually made any

(07:32):
sense about where the fuck we are right now or
what kind of danger we are in. They allowed Donald
Trump to basically use this forum as a political rally where, oh,
you know, he was just able to lie and deflect
and lie, and all Dana Bash said was okay, So

(07:54):
the original question was what you just allowed this man
to go on for over seventy seconds, lying blatantly to
the American people, telling them, by the way, that he
was the reason that prescription drug were coming down in
price to thirty five dollars, that insulin was at thirty

(08:14):
five dollars. He's lying standing next to the actual president
that did that, and neither her or Jake Tapper say
to them. Uh, actually, mister Trump, that's not true. You
didn't hear that phrase uttered, not one goddamn time, folks.
I gotta tell you when I say that we are

(08:37):
in danger, it is not just because I think that
pretty much. Joe Biden did his best weekend at Bernie's impersonation,
And yes, I'm showing my age, but it is a classic. Okay,
it's a classic movie and everyone should watch it. It's
not great, but it's classic, you know, comedy. I don't
care if Joe Biden is sworn in from a hospice bed.

(09:00):
I don't care, because what I do know is that
Donald Trump is the most dangerous man on the planet
outside of Elon Musk. Right. Elon Musk is just a
bit more dangerous because he's actually a multi billionaire that
had the ability to buy a social media platform and
basically disband it completely from what it was used for

(09:23):
several years ago. If we had had this debate right
on a functioning Twitter, right, folks would be organizing, talking,
connecting baul bah. We don't do that anymore because the
place is a fucking swamp. So I say this to
say that Joe Biden not the best candidate Joe Biden

(09:46):
and his team. They fucking failed last night. I don't
know who did the debate prep, but as John Stewart
joked on The Daily Show, I wish they would have
used enhancement drugs legal or not, I don't give a fup.
Because what we needed, right was a boost of confidence that,
like our entire democracy, this two hundred and fifty plus

(10:09):
a year old project is not going to go down
the fucking tubes. And here's the thing that I want
people to understand. Because folks love to tell me that
I am hyperbolic. Folks love to tell me that, like
you know, oh Danielle, you're just on one, am I?
Because I want you to think about tell me a
show of hands, who has read Project twenty twenty five,

(10:30):
who has heard about Project twenty twenty five. Let me
give you some glimpse into what the Republican's plan is
for America, for their reimagining of America. And here's the difference.
Because here's the other thing too. People want to tell
you that we survived the last Trump administration, so we'll

(10:50):
survive again. Motherfuckers. Does this look like survival to you? Right?
We have lost the access to bodily autonomy. Right, the
Supreme Court just decided kick the can down the road
about m tala. Let me tell you a bit about
am tala, and TALA is the federal guidance that allows
abortions to be used in cases of emergency to save

(11:13):
the life of a pregnant person. They sued the state
of Idaho for disallowing am tala in practice, meaning that
if a woman were to come in and she was
bleeding out on the verge of death, that they still
an abortion was the only way to save her life.

(11:34):
Idaho said, I don't know about that, so we're not
gonna do it, meaning that if a doctor were to
actualize the oath that they took, which is to do
no harm, that that doctor could also be thrown in jail.
So these are the decisions, right. So the Supreme Court
decided yesterday that okay, maybe we won't let the women

(12:00):
and the people of Idaho die in this very moment.
But as Katanji Brown Jackson said in her descent, this
was not a victory for pregnant people in Idaho. This
was once again the Supreme Court dawdling and stalling on
making an actual, definitive decision on the health and well

(12:21):
being of pregnant people in the state of Idaho. Right,
they were not definitive on what constitutes an emergency. And
do you understand that the American Medical Board sent letters
to the Supreme Court to ask them how much blood
must a woman use? How many organs must go into

(12:43):
failure for us to be able to use this life
saving medical procedure. Do you understand the world that we
are living in right now? It gets worse, friends, because
if Donald Trump becomes president, all bets are off. So
let me walk you through some of the highlights of

(13:05):
Project twenty twenty five. They want to move away from
birthright citizenship. Mm hmm, I guess subject to some type
of what review board by white supremacists to decide whether
or not you were worthy of being a citizen. Won't
matter if you're born in these United States. Okay, that's
just a little highlight. Something else that they're toying around with. Oh,

(13:27):
no fault divorce? What is that you ask, Well, before
we had no fault divorce on the books, and that
was roughly and I think the late nineteen sixty sixty nine,
early nineteen seventies, you had to prove that you needed
a divorce. There had to be some type of matlice
that was done right, which means that if you were

(13:50):
being abused, whether that is emotionally, physically, or financially right,
it was up to the decision of a judge. You
had to petition right in order to get a divorce.
You couldn't just say, oh, quote unquote irreconcilable differences. They
did not give a fuck. So now that gave women

(14:10):
an out right largely from abusive situations, because they were
no longer going to have to prove that there was
a considerable amount of malice before they left an abusive marriage. Well,
if you listen to right wing podcasters or if you
look at Project twenty twenty five, that is one of
the things that they would like to, you know, revisit

(14:34):
no fault divorce. Another thing on the chopping block, which
I'm sure many of you have already heard him, been
paying attention to contraception. That's right. There's an ad by
We the Vote that is circulating around on social media
that shows a man and a woman making out hot
and heavy in a car. Right, he says, give me

(14:57):
one second there in front of what I can only
presume as a boudet, I live in New York, so
that's what I'm going to presume that it is. He
hops out of the car. She's fixing our lipstick. He
goes up to the counter and he says, you know, hey,
I'd like to buy pack of condoms and a rose.
And the clerk takes out, in this ad that is
being run right now, takes out a clipboard and says, yes,

(15:19):
so are these condoms going to be used with a spouse?
Are these condoms going to be used in a heterosexual relationship?
Is this relationship monogamous? Right? They start running down all
of this list, and what is this ad trying to
show us that they can take away our access to contraception?
And that doesn't just mean birth control, right, the pills

(15:42):
that you pop, or the IUDs or what it means everything.
And they haven't gone after it right now. But if
you look at the policy, the legislation that is being
introduced by Republicans in the Senate, you will see that
they have a piece of legislation that is about life

(16:04):
happening at conception, right. That is their bill to get
rid of IVF, which is already happening in Alabama. That
is their bill also to get rid of contraception. So
tell me what life, folks, What life will women and
people with uteruses have in Trump's America two point zero?

(16:27):
When you don't have the ability to leave an abusive relationship,
you no longer have access to bodily autonomy. I want
people to also remember, do you know when women got
financial freedom? Was nineteen seventy three? Nineteen seventy three. These
are all things that they're looking at. Why because white

(16:47):
male fragility cannot have women having any type of power
in this country whatsoever? Someone told me because I didn't
watch The Handmaid's Tale. Do you know why? Because to me,
it was like watching a doctor documentary, people like, oh,
this could never happen, blah blah. Now you see all
these fucking memes because apparently in the opening of The
Handmaid's Tale, the Conservatives or whatever the group or class

(17:11):
is called, suspended the Constitution. You think to yourself, oh,
my god, they could never suspend the Constitution. Who would
let them do that? Who would stop them? The six
to three Supreme Court that we have, where Samuel Lolalito
was just caught on audio saying that America is a

(17:35):
Christian nation. Our judge, our Supreme Court judge, said that
America is a Christian nation, and there are just some
people that we can't live shoulder to shoulder with. That's
what Justice Alito has said. Justice Alito also, you know,
thinks that he's a doctor he clearly took a wrong

(17:56):
turn and decided to go to law school. Or he
thinks that he's some type of fucking clergyman, also what
he is not. But the fact is, folks, that all
of the things that we think are sci fi that
couldn't possibly happen, are actually happening right now. You have

(18:17):
lawsuits that are disallowing venture capitalists firms from investing in
black owned businesses. You have LGBTQ student unions, black student
union clubs, Indigenous clubs that are all centers that are

(18:37):
being shut down in Utah right now because they have
their anti DEI bills on the books right now. So, folks,
we don't actually have to wait for an election to
see what the fuck it is that Republicans are doing.
Steve Bannon, that psycho motherfucker who should be in prison

(18:59):
right now, will be reporting to prison for his content
of Congress, but not for what he was doing by
defrauding fucking Maga people by having them buy bricks to
build a wall. But he pocketed that money and there
was no fucking wall built. He was charged for that crime,
but guess who pardoned him, Donald fucking Trump. But what

(19:21):
Steve Bannon has famously said is that we are going
to take over village by village, city by city, state
by state. That's exactly what the fuck they are doing.
So at last night's debate, let me go back to
this place, folks, Donald Trump didn't need to answer any questions. Right,

(19:48):
Every single fucking piece that was written, everythink piece that
is out today is about how Biden needs to step down.
By the way, the New York Times, every single one
of their opinion writers I just posted than on my Instagram.
Every single one of their opinion writers has a piece
up today saying that Biden needs to step down. Where

(20:08):
was the coordination around everyone talking about the bloodthirsty, fucking
Republican cult that is ushering in fascism? Where is the
alarm ringing? Do you know what they did about Project
twenty twenty five in the fucking New York Times, They
pretty much gave it the Hitler Home and Gardens fucking treatment.

(20:28):
It was like basically a lifestyle post about the fucking
author of this insane anti American manifesto. It was a
highlight piece. It was not alarm, alarm, alarm. You're losing
democracy one state at a fucking time. So for all

(20:51):
of us that are sitting in these blue states that
are like, whoof well, at least I don't live in Florida. Ooh,
at least I don't live in Texas. What the fuck
do you think that they're doing. This is a testing ground, folks.
They are testing these places where they are passing the
most egregious anti American shit. It is a fucking Petrie dish.

(21:14):
They want to see how far they can go. Because
you know what we're not doing. We are not organizing,
we are not boycotting, We are not out in the streets.
Do you know the piece of legislation that they just
kicked down from the Supreme Court, which is to disallow organizing.
This is a case that ran through Louisiana because they

(21:38):
wanted to charge Deray mckennison, the organizer of a Black
Lives Matter protest in Louisiana, where a cop had a
rock thrown at him. So now they are making organizers
liable for the thousands of people that could show up
if one piece of property is damaged, if one cop
is hurt, guess who's gonna go to jail? Those that organized.

(22:02):
They are coming for every action that we could possibly
take in opposition. I cannot express this enough. We as
a country, as a people, are in danger. We have
an imperfect fucking candidate in Joe Biden. But do you

(22:25):
know what I still believe about him. He believes in
the constitution, he believes in the rule of law. I
don't give a fuck how he stumbles. I don't give
a fuck about the blank stares, because you know what
I do know. He has a confident and very young
Vice President of the United States. He has confident fucking
staff around him. But what I do know is that

(22:46):
everyone around Donald Trump is either indicted, in jail or
on their fucking way. These people project twenty twenty five.
They have twenty thousand fucking sycophants that are in their
bagga white supremacist LinkedIn, ready to take on every single
agency from the inside out. On the day Donald Trump

(23:09):
puts his hand on that fucking Bible on the steps
of the Capitol Building in twenty twenty five? Do you
understand that there will be no fucking recourse after that?
So I would rather fight and protest an imperfect president
than fight for my fucking life with somebody that wanted

(23:30):
the ability to shoot protesters in the leg in Lafayette
Square following the killing of George Floyd. He asked General Milly,
can't we just shoot them? Milly wrote about it in
his fucking book. Milly said, no, you can't shoot them.
That goes against the constitution. Do you understand there will

(23:51):
be no General Milli's for as vapid and as spineless
as a Mike Pences. Do you understand there will be
no Mike Pence that says we need to accept such
and such results, folks. I don't know the levels, if
it's level orange, level red five, alarm fire, whatever the
fuck it is. But I need everybody who is on

(24:15):
the fucking fence right now to wake the fuck up.
All the people that are in your life, young people,
old people, black people, queer people that are saying to
you they can't stomach voting for Joe Biden. Joe Biden
is out of it. Let me tell you something, That
motherfucker is our last hope and it ain't right. Do

(24:35):
I feel great about it? No, the fuck I don't.
But do you know what I won't feel great about
Donald Trump and those fucking maga Republicans being able to
write us out of history, to write us out, to
erase us, because let me tell you something, if you

(24:56):
are not white, if you are not straight, if you
weren't not sis, if you are not their pseudo version
of Christian friends, time is up. Time is up because
they are coming for everyone and everything and they are
not gonna stop. They are not going to be satiated

(25:18):
until this country looks like the nineteenth century. Do you
know who was winning in the nineteenth century? White men,
that's it. Women didn't have the right to vote, Black
people were still in fucking shackles. They are bringing in.
Let me tell you this as I close out right,
because I only wanted to be on here for twenty

(25:38):
minutes and now it's close to thirty. But I am
just out fucking done. But let me tell you one
of the other things that they want to bring back
that they're looking into over at the Heritage Foundation, where
you can take a look see at Project twenty twenty
five the Comstock Act. If you listen to the New
Abnormal my co host Andy Levy over there, he's done

(26:01):
several interviews about this. Comstock Act was enacted in eighteen
sixty three. What is it, you ask, Oh, it disallows
the use of mail for anything that is deemed malicious, lascivious, indecent. Also,

(26:21):
you can't use the mail to transport things like abortion
pills or abortion equipment because those are deemed to be immoral.
Guess what was never repealed the Comstock Act. So while
the Supreme Court is allowing mifepristone, the abortion pill right

(26:43):
which was approved by the FDA over twenty five years ago,
to continue use, which means that even in those states
that have not put up a full ban on abortion,
that if the Supreme Court had decided that we were
no longer going to allow the use of mifha pristone,
it would affect all fifty states. Well. The Compstock Act

(27:07):
is another avenue for Republicans to disallow the use of
mifa pristone and also surgical abortion because guess how you
get those things to hospitals visa VI the mail? They
are digging into nineteenth century laws, folks, in order to

(27:32):
shackle and oppress all of us. So for my folks
that are like, ah, Biden, ain't it, I can't do it.
I want you to understand you will not have a
second bite at the fucking apple. There was a time
in Germany where folks were like, should we leave? Should

(27:55):
we not? Like something doesn't feel right? But am I
being his hysterical Guess what? The ones that were hysterical
and fucking fled. They live to tell stories, they live
to create families, others perished. We are in that fucking
place where the only thing that is coming to save

(28:18):
us is our ability that we still have to fucking vote.
And I will end with this. I am not telling
you that you need to love Joe Biden. I am
not telling you that you need to skip and gallop
to the polls like we did in two thousand and
eight or we did in twenty twelve. I am not
telling you that you need to go and buy Biden
Harris swag. What I am telling you is that you

(28:41):
need to vote for yourself. You need to vote for
the children that you love that are in your lives.
You need to vote for the elderly people who will
be kicked off of Medicare and Medicaid and social Security.
You need to vote because you believe in the preservation
of this project, this very imperfect project that we call democracy,

(29:02):
because every fucking thing is at stake. And for those
that say, well, we made it through the last four years,
so we'll be able to do it. Folks. The fences
are down right, the guards are away. The fucking lunatics
are running this shit. We are it, We are it.
We have just a handful of months left to organize

(29:27):
everyone that is in our lives. That is your task.
That is what I'm tasking you with. You tell them
you don't have to love Joe Biden. I don't love
Joe Biden. Right. If I could have chosen another person,
I would have chosen another person. But you play with
the fucking cards you are dealt. That is where we are.
So until we have the opportunity to hold on to

(29:49):
this shit show that we call America for four more
years and have that time in order to build the
pipeline that we need to secure this country for generations
to come, don't play with your fucking vote because you
are playing with your life. And for those again who
say I'm not really into this politics thing, I'd rather

(30:10):
just numb myself with some bullshit TV and some cocktails
and whatever. Lift your head up out of the sand, okay,
because that's the easiest way that you get mode over all. Right,
dear friends, I am out share this with your people,
tell them to follow me like me, do all of

(30:30):
those things, because apparently that shit matters in the algorithms.
I'm sure I may be shadow band after this is off,
so you know, you can follow me at Danielle Moody
dot com. I put up a newsletter twice a month,
The damn Die Jeff. Also, I'm selling merch at Danielle
Moody dot com. You can get my first capsule collection,

(30:50):
The Future is Woke there and buy T shirts. Tots
support independent, not corporatized, bullshit voices like my because everyone else,
like those motherfuckers over at CNN, bought and fucking sould
not this girl. I survive on the kindness of strangers

(31:11):
and the ability to keep my voice going until somebody
pulls the microphone. I appreciate every single one of you
so very much. We will get through this. We will
get through this If we link arms, open our eyes,
open our mouths, and do what we can, it is
on us. That is it for me, On wokef as

(31:34):
always Power to the people and to all the people power.
Get woke and stay woke as fuck.
