America is increasingly standing alone with Israel, and Biden's campaign is increasingly out of touch with Democratic voters. It's getting harder to tell people this election is the most important of our lifetimes when the people running the campaign aren't treating it that way.

Speaker 1 (00:11):
Good morning, peeps, and welcome to wok F Daily with
Meet Your Girl Danielle Moody, recording from the Home Bunker. Folks,
I need to say something, which is why I have
so many podcasts. But the reality here is that I
believe that people are not getting the situation that we're in.

(00:35):
And when I say the situation that we're in.

Speaker 2 (00:38):
I mean the fact that Biden is.

Speaker 1 (00:46):
Now fundraising behind Donald Trump. He is pulling behind Donald Trump.
We are five months out from the election. Biden refuses
to make a pivot on his quote unquote ironclad support
for Israel. As they starve, blow up children, starve, millions

(01:09):
of people, lie about all of their mistakes. The list
goes on and on when it pertains to Israel and
their fucking lies. We are becoming and by we, I
mean America is beginning to become isolated on the world
stage as more and more countries begin to recognize Palestine

(01:34):
as a separate state. Belgium, as I've said earlier this week,
has called for sanctions against Israel, and the growing outrage
is falling on non listening ears when it pertains to
the White House. Anthony Blincoln said recently, Oh the invasion

(01:55):
of Rafa and blowing up babies did not cross the
red line that folks are playing back the clip when
Biden was on CNN with Aaron Burnett and said that
RAFO would be the red line. So you're full of shit, right,

(02:16):
And this is what people, and by people, I mean voters,
are beginning two cents. And I reposted something in my
stories yesterday that I've been seeing going around and it's
mostly obviously my progressive, thoughtful friends that are reposting this message,

(02:38):
and I want to read it to you because I
feel like this is the urging that people are trying
to do with the Biden administration that is seemingly becoming
increasingly out of touch with their voters. And here it is.
You were allowed to say, at any point I can't

(02:59):
support this, even if you did, even if you were
on sure, you can at any point say this has
gone too far. And while the best time to say
that was earlier, second best time is now. Biden believed,

(03:19):
because of his forty plus years in government, that the
preservation of the state of Israel was somehow the responsibility
of the United States to not support Israel was to
be anti Semitic, was to not stand with Israelis and

(03:44):
those that practice Judaism. We have evolved from that place,
and while the place that we are in now is
huh tenuous at best, right, we are in a place
where leaders as well as constituents are beginning to do

(04:08):
the hard work of recognizing that to condemn the acts
of Netanyahu, the IDF, and the government of Israel is
not to condemn the Jewish faith. That it is the
job and has been the job of our leaders to

(04:30):
part and parcel that out. Just in the same way
that Donald Trump is not a representation of America and
America's values, he represents thirty percent of the population. It
is then fair to say that with all of the
protests that you see in Tel Aviv by Israelis, by

(04:55):
the families of the hostages, that they have had a
f fucking enough. So are we to look at those
protesters in Israel and say that they must be anti Semitic, right,
because mainstream media isn't covering the fact that thousands upon

(05:15):
thousands upon thousands of Israelis are in the streets on
a regular fucking basis calling for the resignation of this murderous, fascist,
lunatic so there does come a time when it is
beyond important to recognize that you've.

Speaker 2 (05:35):
Made a mistake.

Speaker 1 (05:36):
That is what distinguishes to me true leadership right from authoritarianism.
True leadership in a democracy is about recognizing that you
don't have all the answers and that there is room
to grow to learn. So this art and support hurt

(06:01):
that comes with no formulation of ideas around new information,
I gotta tell you, seems very trumpish to me, right
if you're not willing to take new information and formulate
a new strategy. And I'm wondering if the Biden administration,

(06:22):
if the campaign thinks that the donors that they may
upset are enough to get them elected, because I gotta
tell you, I don't fucking think so. Because if you're
looking at a handful of donors versus the millions of
people that are beginning to turn their back not only

(06:44):
on this administration, but on the campaign, on the possibility
of voting altogether because they can't stomach what they are seeing,
you're telling me that the handful of donors that's what's
going to carry you to victory, because it's not. You
have to in this moment, the Biden campaign has got

(07:06):
to have more faith in the fucking people of this
country than the pocketbooks of a select amount of donors.
He has got to get out of that fucking bubble
of a campaign and that bubble of a White House
and start taking the temperature of people who are pissed,

(07:27):
who are angry, who are beside themselves. He's doing the
work around trying to alleviate student loan debt, He's doing
the work of trying to, you know, work around this
right wing, rabid Supreme Court. But the work that he's
not doing is really listening to the people.

Speaker 2 (07:51):
That are.

Speaker 1 (07:54):
So disgusted, so grief stricken by what they are seeing
across their screens on a regular basis, And for his
Secretary of State, blinking to have the audacity to say, oh, well,

(08:14):
we don't know, we don't know if we can validate
these numbers. What are you talking about? Do you think
we're dumb. It's difficult, right, We all know this. It's
difficult to admit when you've made a mistake. But being
able to make that mistake, take responsibility and accountability for

(08:38):
that mistake, and learn from it so as not to
make the same mistake again is what builds character, and frankly,
is what allows us to function as a democracy.

Speaker 2 (08:52):
When you know better, you do better.

Speaker 1 (08:54):
But what we are seeing with this campaign is that
they're they're fucking lying to themselves in the hopes that
if you tell yourself enough lies, then eventually you'll believe it.
But the problem is is if you tell yourself enough lies, right,
you become so disillusioned from the reality the rest of

(09:15):
us are operating it. So when I see articles like
the one that came out at the beginning of this
week in Politico entitled Dems in full blown freak out
over Biden, right, all of these people quoted but speaking
on the flex of anonymity, and I call it flex.

(09:37):
And I'm saying that tongue in cheek because you don't
have a spine. No one wants to be on the
record saying that the campaign is doing something wrong. No,
let's just do a post mortem after from our fucking
cells in Guantanamo. I'm trying to express to people that
this election is not about one issue. It is about
every fucking issue. You have Fucking Nikki Haley signing bombs

(10:02):
that are tearing apart people's bodies. That's what the fuck
the Republican Party thinks about what is happening in Gaza
and in Rafa. They think that it's a moment for glee.
What do you think that they will unleash when they
have the power to do so domestically? You don't have

(10:26):
to wonder, because they tell you. In Project twenty twenty five,
Donald Trump is telling us in every fucking incoherent rally
that he gives there will be no protests, there will
be no voting, there will be no institutions, that they
will not gut. This country will become a shell of itself.

(10:50):
And if you think that it's bad now, I want
you to think about how bad it is is, how
desperate you.

Speaker 2 (10:57):
Feel, and then multiply that by a million.

Speaker 1 (11:02):
So when I see posts like one that I saw
yesterday on Instagram, you know, folks, I oftentimes get really frustrated, right,
I get really frustrated by outlets that are not political,

(11:26):
outlets that are providing really poor advice to their followers.
Afropunk is an outlet that has produced a myriad of
cultural events that move outside of the stereotypes and scope

(11:50):
of what we think black culture black music is. They
stand for, you know, humanity and progress and equity and justice.
And I respect their lens. But what I do not
fucking respect is a recent post that I came across
where they write independent presidential candidates for twenty twenty four election.

(12:15):
We don't need to settle for the lesser of two evils.
Swipe through to meet the independent candidates who bring unique
perspectives and fresh ideas to the election. They go on
to say this election is particularly challenging. Many voters are
reluctant to support Biden due to his administration's backing of
Israel's ongoing attack on Palestine. Conversely, some see Biden as

(12:37):
the only viable option to prevent Trump's return to power.
Key voter concerns include international relations, particularly with Israel, student loans, immigration, homelessness, taxes, inflation,
and public health. These issues are driving the urgency and
the intensity of decisions this election season. Then they go
on to list these fucking independent candidates. And here is

(13:00):
what I wrote in response. I said, quote, let me
be clear, if you vote third party in this election,
you are voting for Trump. Jill Stein helped to upset
Hillary Clinton's campaign in twenty sixteen. Imagine where we would
be right now where the courts would be. Do not

(13:21):
promote this bs unless you have an exit strategy in place.
I urge everyone to understand and read Project twenty twenty
five on the Heritage Foundation's website. It provides the Republican's entire, dark,
dystopian future for decades and decades to come. This election
isn't about one issue, It's about everything. Do not throw

(13:42):
away your vote in protest. Look, I understand that for
years we have been telling people in every presidential election,
every midterm election, that this is the most consequential election
of your lifetime. And the reality is, folks, it fucking

(14:04):
has been. And why do I say that, Because what
we watched at the beginning of this new century was
a hardening of the Republican Party and the rise of

(14:25):
their fascistic fantasies that were once on the margins in
the Tea Party and in Birtherism, and that have now
become central tenants of their policy and their ideology. They
want to roll this country back to the nineteenth century.

(14:50):
In the nineteenth century, only white men had the right
to vote, women did not have bodily autonomy, Black people
were still enslaved, Queer people were thrown in jail. The
economy was not in a great fucking place. They want

(15:12):
to go back to the nineteenth century, right to the
times of these fucking hoarding, greedy ass titans, titans of
industry that possessed and awarded all of the wealth and
also all of the power. The twentieth century brought a

(15:32):
social revolution where in the span of fifty some odd
years we saw women, people of color, queer people access
the same rights and responsibilities of citizenship through the courts.

(15:54):
And now those very same courts that are packed with
right wing judges are rolling back and peeling back every
bit of progress in the twentieth century. You know, I
was reading the other day. It was actually funny Women's

(16:14):
Health magazine reading this article about how women are choosing
not to have kids and it's becoming less and less
of a stigma. And in the article they talked about
the fact that childless couples in twenty twenty one, when polled,
rose seven percent in this country, And I think about, like, oh, amazing.

(16:40):
You know, people recognize that they have choices. Women in
particular recognize that they have choices. They don't have to
just choose the path that everyone else has been on,
they can choose something else, right, And then it'd occurred
to me as I'm reading this article that these are
the same studies that have prompted the Republicans backlash against

(17:04):
reproductive freedom. Now, don't get it twisted. They have been
hammering against reproductive freedom ever since Roe v. Wade became
the law of the land in nineteen seventy four. But
the reality is that there is less couples that are

(17:26):
getting married, less people that are having children, and in
their eyes, that means that the browning of this country
accelerates because white people, wealthy white folks not having as
many fucking kids, or having kids at all.

Speaker 2 (17:47):
So a way to.

Speaker 1 (17:48):
Keep their numbers in their mind was roll back abortion,
go after no fault divorce, put women back in the
shackles of the nineteenth century where they had no power,
no voice, no bodily autonomy. White men controlled everything. Now
there are some women, like the fucking tried wives that

(18:10):
you see on TikTok that love this idea. Oh, I
don't want to have to worry about that little thing
called thinking. Though, for the rest of us that are
not being fitted currently for our handmaid's tail cloaks are
seeing very transparently through these actions, get women out of
the workforce, because if they're fucking up to their necks

(18:34):
with a bunch of babies that they can't afford. We
saw what happened during COVID. They're the first to have
to leave the workforce to care for the children at home,
which then what gives a wide runway back to white
men so that they can reclaim their power. But you
see the reason for this is that rather than actually,
I don't know, learning new skills, are trying or having

(18:55):
to compete like the rest of us have, what they
are doing is clearing the run way. We'll get rid
of affirmative action right that gave equity and opportunity to
people of color to access the same I don't know, jobs, positions, colleges,
you name it.

Speaker 2 (19:12):
That's wiped away, will take away.

Speaker 1 (19:15):
Women's bodily autonomy, and lo and behold, twenty twenty four
turns into nineteen twenty four. So while we applaud the
progress that this country has made over the last two
hundred and forty eight years, Republicans see that progress as

(19:36):
a threat, and right now they are in the position
of power to ensure that that threat is snuffed out
for good for multiple generations to come. The final lynchpin
in their fucking evil scheme is the White House that

(19:56):
they will never give up again. So what is it
going to be. What are we willing to stomach? What
are we willing to.

Speaker 2 (20:06):
Push through in order to ensure that this is not.

Speaker 1 (20:13):
The last year of democracy in America? Because that's what
the fuck this is about. Democracy is not perfect. This
country is far from perfect, and what we're learning more
and more, it's far from exceptional. But the reality is

(20:34):
is that we can push more and do more with
a democratically minded president than with a fucking fascist to
lot easier to fight for your freedom when you're not
in prison. And I want people to hold on to
that fucking truth as we battle through the next five months,

(20:55):
because this will not be done in November. Even if
Joe Biden wins, It's never going to be done. So
this idea that things are going to go back to
normal and things are going to be easy again, it's not.
This country is in the same position as other countries
have been for decades.

Speaker 2 (21:16):
Fighting for your freedom.

Speaker 1 (21:17):
Is a part of the process of holding onto democracy
and once we are stabilized, then we can have conversations
about expanding the court, about a multi party system.

Speaker 2 (21:32):
But how do we have that.

Speaker 1 (21:34):
When the threat that is looming overhead is so fucking dangerous?
Now is not the time? And I know that they'll
people say, well, it's never the time, It's never the time. Well,
if you're a gambler, you tell me how much are
you willing to risk? And if you have children, or

(21:57):
you're an auntie or an uncle, I want you to
look at the young children, if you have any in
your life, or you're a teacher, and you look at
your students, how much is their future worth? Because the
GOP already put a price tag on it. That is

(22:19):
it for me today, Dear friends on wokef as always,
Power to the people and to all the people.

Speaker 2 (22:26):
Power, Get woke and stay woke as fuck.
