Speaker 1 (00:11):
Good morning, Peeves, and welcome to wikf Daily with me
your Girl, Danielle Moody recording from the Home Bunker, Folks.
I'm recording this ahead of time, as I normally do
Monday shows, but I have to tell you that today
I am recording this in a level of anger that
(00:32):
I don't know if I've had for a while. Everything
I know is up against us right now. The powers
that be, whether they be in corporate media, whether they
be on the Supreme Court, whether they be on federal benches,
whether they be governors of red States, whether they be
secretaries of elections. They don't want democracy to continue. It
(00:57):
is so fucking clear, right. It is clearer when the
Washington Post decides that they're not going to endorse a
presidential candidate for the first time since nineteen eighty eight.
It is clear when the La Times decides that they're
not going to endorse a presidential candidate for the very
first time. It is clear when NBC decides that they
(01:19):
are not going to run a documentary from one of
their own anchors about the children and the families that
were separated at the border until after the election. It
is clear when you have someone like Elon Musk, who
is in private conversations with Vladimir Putin and other nation
(01:41):
states about whether or not he'll flip the switch on
starlink and stop Ukraine from being able to defend itself,
or whether or not he is going to divulge his
top secret clearance to you know, the highest fucking bidder
who will put him in their admits imistration. Folks, we
(02:02):
are up against so very much and just a handful
of days to hold on to democracy. And here's what
I will say. The Harris Walls team has run one
of the best campaigns I have ever seen in my career.
The loss of this election will not be because they
didn't go into the right states, or they didn't do enough,
(02:25):
or they didn't pull out all the stops. No, it won't.
It will be because corporate mainstream media is complicit in
the rise of fascism and Donald Trump because it is
better for their bottom line. It'll be because the Supreme
Court voted to provide Donald Trump the criminal, with absolute immunity,
so that the next time that he got his hands
(02:46):
on power, he never had to let go. Democracy isn't
like a heartbeat that you don't have to think about
it just kind of happens. Democracy is something that requires
consistent vigilance because there will always be people who are
working to undermine it. That's the lesson that we should
(03:06):
all take from the last nine years is that if
we pay attention, then things like Donald Trump don't happen. Right,
because Donald Trump came to power because we were like, eh,
you know, I'm kind of meant about Hillary Clinton. How
bad could a Trump presidency be? You know, he was
(03:28):
on the Apprentice, He's rich, so maybe he knows how
to run the country. This is the fucking lie of
capitalism too, by the way, which is this idea that
because people have wealth that that somehow means that they're smart.
It fucking doesn't. By the way, your wealth is not
contingent upon how smart you are. And how smart you
(03:49):
are is not contingent upon your wealth because there are
very many, many, many people who are poor, people who
know how to make a dollar out of fifteen cent,
right because they've had to have a kind of resilience.
That are the people that have been given a platinum
spoon like a Donald Trump. Don't know that to me
(04:11):
is smart. But because we equate intelligence with wealth, then
if you're poor, well, then you must be stupid. That's
how we the people give our power away, because they're
the ones that fed us that line of bullshit to
begin with. We know better, folks, right now about what
is happening. You can see it everywhere. You can see
(04:32):
it as clear as day that when you look at
Donald Trump's economic plan one, his mass deportations would cause
this country to careem into probably one of the worst
depressions that we've ever seen. Don't take my word for it,
I'm not an economist. You can take right the twenty
(04:54):
three No Bell winning economists who have said so, who
have said that Donald Trump's plans for this country in
terms of tariffs will cost the average American person thousands
of dollars thousands of dollars a year. So, folks, we
(05:16):
know that Donald Trump is not a person that is
for the middle class, for the working class, for any
other class other than the top one percent. And what
we are seeing with these decisions that are being made
by the Bezos of the world and the Musts of
the world, the American oligarchs, is that they're in control
of what we know, what we see, and what we do.
(05:42):
The fact is folks, we have to understand where our
power actually lies, because these American oligarchs are showing us
where their power is and they're wielding it. They're wielding
it in a way that is turning us into a
banana republic, turning us into no place that is any
(06:02):
better than Russia with the Russian oligarchs that have drained
the people of all of their income and resources. Also
that the multi zillionaires and what have you can have
seventeen thousand votes and seventeen thousand homes. Fuck the people, right.
The people are a means to an end, and that
(06:23):
is what Elon Musk and Jeff Bezos are showing us.
And Mark Zuckerberg is not immune from this as well,
because through his platform meta, he's ensuring that democracy and
any mention of it, any mention of voting, any mention
of gaza, any mention of the candidates, is suppressed. And
(06:43):
you have to go into your own systems to make
sure that you turn on the metric that says that
you actually want political content, because Mark Zuckerberg has decided
that you don't, and so you won't see it. So
all of these places that are supposed to be tools
of democracy have been weaponized against us, have been weaponized
(07:07):
against the people, so that we are just walking around dumb,
under educated because the places that we are choosing to
get our information from are choosing to shrink what we see,
shrink what we know, shrink what we have power for
(07:28):
power over. I'm just I'm so frustrated, you know, as
we close out this election, like, there are so many
things that I wish were better about this country. I
wish that we had gotten rid of the electoral college.
You know, maybe in the twentieth century, that we would
have decided that, you know what, this system doesn't actually
(07:49):
work and it's really rigged, and that maybe Democrats would
have started a ground campaign in the same way that say, oh,
I don't know, the white evangelical Christians had decided to,
you know, continue with their crusade to eventually overturn Roe v. Waite.
Maybe we should have started doing that about the electoral
college and about the Supreme Court, just educating people little
(08:11):
by little, showing them little by little that you know what,
your vote would actually count more if the electoral college
didn't exist, because then a person who lives in New
York and has a vote and a person that lives
in Ohio and has a vote, their vote would be
weighed the same. There would be no such place as
like battle ground right because each of our votes would count.
(08:36):
You know, I people keep asking me, you know, who
do I think is going to win? Do I think
that Kamala is going to be able to pull it off?
And friends, I have no idea. I wish that I did,
because I would save myself and you all a whole
lot of grief over the next couple of weeks. But
I don't. I feel right now that everything is stacked
(08:57):
against us, which is why I'm asking for peace people
to do everything in anything that you can, whether it's donate,
whether it's volunteer, whether it's had the hard conversations, just
find out a way to get activated and do that.
But it's like every lever of power is right now
(09:18):
pulling for Donald Trump. Like, how do you already decide
that you're going to upend democracy by not endorsing a
candidate because you care about your government contracts more than
you care about the people. And like, why the fuck
does Amazon and like and Elon Musk is Starlink have
these billion dollar contracts with the government anyway, do you
(09:41):
know that Elon Musk has a one point eight billion
dollar contract with the US government for Starlink and that
our space you know, efforts rely on Elon Musk. And
I said this in a live that I did on Friday.
I don't give a fuck about Mars. I cannot express
(10:07):
that enough. And if you are a science buff, I
you know my apologies. It's not that I don't care
about exploration. It is that I care more about what
is happening here on Earth, Like why are we going
to explore other planets when we are fucking this one up?
I have no idea. It don't make no sense. So
(10:29):
you know, Elon Musk has fucking top secret clearance and
he's on the phone with Vladimir Putin on a regular basis, Like,
why don't we just shift all of our documents to
Vladimir Putin? Why don't we just save all the middleman,
all of the all of the underhanded trouble and just
(10:51):
send our shit directly to him, Because between Trump and
Elon Musk, that motherfucker has a map probably of all
of our homes. Also that the United Time States can
compete in some type of space race, give me a break, folks.
Most recently in you know, and I bring all this
to you about Elon Musk and Vladimir Putin because at
(11:15):
the end of last week a story broke in the
Wall Street Journal whose title is Elon Musk's Secret Conversations
with Vladimir Putin. I spoke about it on Friday on
Democracy Ish with Wajahat Ali. All of the ways in
which Elon Musk has basically been given all the keys
to the kingdom. In what democracy does a private citizen
(11:41):
have the ability to have conversations with the world's dictators
and decide what switch he's gonna flip and when to
provide access to internet, access to satellite. I don't think
that people understand how fucking dangerous Elon Musk is, how
dangerous it is that this man has this much power
(12:03):
and no one elected him. No one elected this man,
and if Donald Trump becomes president, he's gonna be in
the cabinet. Today's one of those days when I am really,
really angry, and I don't want us to feel powerless.
(12:25):
But I do understand what it feels like to feel powerless,
because you know, I do these shows, all of these
shows across all of these different platforms because I'm doing
my best to educate and activate as many people as possible.
But I'll never have the kind of platform where you know,
(12:50):
millions and millions upon millions of people are tuning in
because everything that I do gets suppressed, which is why
I try and do so much, because I'm just like,
maybe this will eek through, maybe this will eek through,
and I'm not kidding. From TikTok to Meta to X,
a lot of the conversations, a lot of the podcasts
(13:12):
that you hear, a lot of the shows that I do,
get suppressed, right, So I try and change hearts and
minds one person at a time, and I hope that
the one person that may be tuned in maybe hips
another person or two people to what they're hearing and
what they're subscribing to. Every effort that I do is grassroots,
(13:33):
because I've never been given write the keys to the
kingdom in the way that so many milk toast motherfuckers have,
because why because they're neutral. I was told years ago
to stop being so controversial that I would have a
lot more success, and I know that that is true,
and you know, at another point in my life, I
(13:54):
may have taken people up on it if I actually
had money dangling in front of me, but I don't
do this work for the money. I'm appreciative of what
I have, but trust me, this type of political conversation
does not pay. That's why I'm so grateful for the
donations that come in in a variety of ways, because
(14:16):
it's all of you that allow this work to keep going.
But I also know that shows like mine and the
work that I'm doing is on an egg timer right now.
Because Donald Trump becomes president. Independent media is the enemy within.
Mainstream media is the enemy within. People will be shut down,
(14:39):
shut out, called the enemy of the state, docked. That
will become the norm until you are silenced completely. I
know this. That's why I'm trying to do everything that
I can and the time that I have, because I
know that it is limited. I just really hope that
America is able to do what it did in twenty
(15:02):
twenty all over again, but bigger. And I don't know
if we will. I don't know if we will. I
don't know if we'll pull it off. And it's again,
it's not because of the lack of effort and work,
and you know, connections that the Harris Walls team is doing,
it is because of all of the entities that are
(15:24):
against us, that are against democracy, that are against the people.
So I implore you to do everything that you can
with the time that we have left to get democracy
over the finish line, because we're in for the fight
of our lives and you know, I'm scared, I will
(15:45):
admit that, but there's no way to truly prepare for
what is coming. All we can do is educate, activate,
and have faith that those actions that we are taking
will be the difference maker in this election, and we
(16:08):
can finally, for once and for all, say goodbye and
go to hell to Donald Trump. That is it for
me today, Dear friends on Woke af AS always, Power
to the people and to all the people. Power, Get
woke and stay woke as fuck.
