Speaker 1 (00:11):
Good morning, peeps, and welcome to wok F Daily with
me your Girl. Daniel Moody recording from the home bunker, Folks.
I'm coming to today as Hurricane Milton is preparing to
make landfall. We have twenty seven days at the time
of this recording until the election. The second catastrophic hurricane
(00:37):
is landing in Florida within two weeks of each other.
There is still debris that is piled up on once
inhabited neighborhoods and streets where another storm that meteorologists are
literally on air. As John Morales was at NBC six
(01:00):
breaking down trying to describe the indescribable a hurricane that
developed into a Category five from a tropical depression within
forty eight hours. It is like nothing these people have
(01:21):
ever seen. Climate change is not imminent. It is here,
It has arrived, and it is causing billions of dollars
worth of damage and it is costing hundreds of people
their lives. Meanwhile, we have Donald Trump and the MAGA
(01:44):
Republican Party playing games using AI deep fakes to spread
their lives about where funding is and isn't happening. It
doesn't matter that Republican governor including the odious Rond DeSantis,
has taken to the airwaves in their press conferences to
(02:08):
say that they have received the funding that they need
from Joe Biden and that they know that they will
receive more. Donald Trump, as Vice President Kamala Harris said
on the view, lacks empathy. The man is a fucking
sociopath who cares about no one and nothing other than himself.
(02:32):
And yet nearly fifty percent of the population refuses to
believe their own eyes and ears and science and instead
choose to believe a man that can't go through one
sentence without lying. The election is so close, folks, because
(02:54):
we have a racist electoral college that decides that rural states,
in areas that don't have the populations of urban centers
and suburbs, have more power or just the same amount
of power in their voice and vote as the rest
of us do. It is past time that our elections
(03:14):
be decided by the popular vote. The person with the
most votes wins. It is an extraordinary offense to democracy
that you could win the popular vote by ten million
and lose an election. It is outrageous where we find
(03:35):
ourselves as a country. It is outrageous. I never would
have imagined that we would live in a time where
people would actually believe that the world is flat, because
that's where we are right now, where it doesn't matter
what scientists are saying, what meteorologists are saying, what climate
(03:58):
scientists are saying. So we can't actually work to fix
this problem because we're too busy going back and forth
on the broke down social media platform Twitter arguing over
whether what is actually happening is happening. It's insane. You
have folks who are being told to evacuate and recognizing
(04:23):
that we don't even have the proper infrastructure in this country,
in these states to be able to evacuate people in
the way that they need to be evacuated, because the
fact is, folks, while we want to believe that this
is a quote unquote wealthy nation, the reality is is
that it's really not. That a majority of people are
(04:45):
one illness, one accident, one incident away from being fucking broke.
That's not wealth. So while people are like, go ahead,
evacuate fleet, where are they going. Are they leaving their jobs?
They're leaving their homes to go where and do what?
Exactly every single hurricane we see people that are stranded
(05:09):
in their homes, that are stranded on roofs, and we
want to admonish those people. Why didn't you leave sooner?
Because they had no fucking place to go. And also
we don't have the infrastructure or databases, it seems to
locate people as quickly as possible because a Republican party
is too busy wanting to put a database together to
(05:30):
track pregnancies and menstrual cycles and not those that are
in need during disaster. And it's like every single time
that we have one of these historic storms, we're starting
from zero having learned nothing. These storms, these incidents, whether
(05:56):
it is hurricanes, tornadoes, fires, they are getting worse every
fucking year. But Ron DeSantis thought it was more important
to erase or wide out the word climate change because
ignoring the problem will make it go away. Sticking your
head in the fucking sand like an ostrich will make
(06:19):
it go away. No, it just makes you more susceptible
to the disaster because you're not bracing yourself forward because
you'd rather pretend that it's not happening. These people do
not deserve to be in power, and they should not
be because their ignorance, their callousness. Their bullshit is costing
(06:41):
people their lives. I was watching as folks are being
interviewed at gas stations as they're trying to flee the
path of the storm, regurgitating the right wing lies that
there is no money and Biden isn't sending relief and
people are suffering X, Y, and Z, and I'm just like,
(07:02):
because you're listening to Fox News, these people should be
held fucking accountable because their lies are no longer jokes anymore.
They are putting people at risk. I'm so angry today
because you're watching this and you're seeing these storms, and
(07:23):
you've seen these patterns build up, and you're just like,
it's only going to get worse. The marker that climate
scientists were looking at in terms of the water the
ocean's warming to that one point five degree celsy as well. Apparently,
according to climate scientists, we passed that last year, So
(07:45):
what used to be regular storms now each and every
year will become superstorms. As one meteorologist on the Weather
Channel was stating that before Milton reaches landfall, there is
another patch of deep warm water in the Gulf that
(08:06):
is going to pass over where it is probable that
it's going to gain more strength before it hits landfall.
And yet you have idiots that are saying that this
is an act of God. No it is not. This
is an act of stupidity. Marjorie Taylor Green wants to
(08:27):
tell folks, Oh, they control the weather. No, but y'all
fucking idiots are the ones that are absolutely controlling the
power that it would take to mitigate these storms and
these damages. So yes, to some degree, Marjorie, You're absolutely
fucking right, Just like the hundreds of Republicans that voted
(08:49):
against increasing aid for FEMA, but then want to turn
around and say, oh, FEMA is broke. You all control
the purse strings. You want to talk about who's in power.
If I'm Democrats, I'm running pictures of the devastation along
with the fucking names and districts of those Republicans in
(09:10):
the House of Representatives and those Senators that voted against aid.
That's what I'm doing. You want to know why you're
not getting the resources that you need. This is to blame.
I saw somebody the other day that said we should
start naming these storms after the politicians that voted against
(09:31):
doing anything any efforts around climate change, so called the storm,
Hurricane Trump, Hurricane Marjorie, Hurricane Gates, Hurricane DeSantis. It doesn't
need to be this way. That's what becomes so frustrating,
is that it doesn't need to be this way. You know,
(09:54):
it's twenty seven days until the election is over, and
the fact that we are in a fifty to fifty
place of Project twenty twenty five being operationalized in all
fifty states, of a fifty to fifty chance of a
national abortion ban, a fifty to fifty chance of massive
(10:14):
deportations and concentration camps for both undocumented in legal immigrants,
a fifty to fifty chance of camps being set up
for black people, for queer people, for a database that
tracks women's menstruation, that tracks their movement. A fifty to
(10:37):
fifty chance of the Supreme Court overturning what gave women
economic freedom in this country. It's all on the line,
and the fact that I sit here and can't state
unequivocally that we're going to win is so terrifying. And
(10:59):
it isn't for lack of a kick ass campaign that
the Harris Walls team is running. I have no blame
to place on Democrats for their messaging or anything, because
it has everything has been fucking stellar. But we are
up against jerry mandering, voter suppression, stealing, underhanded maneuvering that
(11:25):
is happening in places like Georgia where they want to
count ballots by hand. We are up against so much deception,
and I don't know if everything that has been done
and is being done on the side of the righteous
(11:45):
is actually going to work because we have too many
places where just recently a Muslim group in Michigan has
decided to endorse Jill Stein. Are you fucking stupid? We
all know the situation that is happening in Israel and
(12:08):
Gaza and the devastation that has been caused over the
last year at the hands of that and Yahoo. We
know you think that voting against your possible only chance
of any type of liberation makes fucking sense. But here
these people are. This is the stand that they want
(12:29):
to take. Oh, if we don't do it now, then
it'll never happen. Great, good, good for you. I don't know, folks,
I truly I don't know. I know that people are
doing everything that they can. I know that the zoom
calls continue, I know that the fundraising continues. I know
(12:50):
that the education into trying to combat disinformation is continuing.
I just don't know if it's enough. Because Hurricane Trump
has been waging over America for roughly nine years at
this point, has a rectavic on our institutions, has destroyed
(13:14):
our faith in each other, and what's possible, has sewed
so much animous and hate, and I just I don't
see any signs of its stopping. Only a handful of states,
with a handful of white people who are more racist
(13:39):
than they are reasonable, are going to decide this election.
I don't get it. I don't get it, and it's
unbearable to think about that this could very well be it.
That these are literally the final days of democracy. Like
I kept saying on my show on YouTube, the Daniel
(14:01):
Mudy Show, which you should all subscribe to, that is
live every Monday through Thursday, Folks like I don't know
what we do if he wins, because this is not
going to be a repeat of twenty seventeen. They mean
to stay forever, and the acceleration in the deterioration of
(14:29):
our country will be mind blowing. And I keep saying
that when Rome was falling when empires were falling around
the world, did they know it while it was happening.
In hindsight, we say, why didn't people get out of
dodge when they could? Because they didn't know that this
(14:50):
was the end. I pray for us that this is not,
but I honestly do not know, and that is what
is absolutely terrifying. This country is in a world of trouble.
If we win in November. The danger that I feel
(15:11):
between November and January is so high. And if we
win in November, we really only gain a four year
lease on our democracy because MAGA is not going away.
In those four years. Maybe Donald Trump will be prosecuted.
I doubt he'll ever see jail. I doubt he'll ever
(15:33):
pay any of the fines that he's supposed to pay.
But if he becomes president, it is almost certain that
he will once again have outsmarted the law. Thank you
to the Supreme Court. So much is at stake, and
I know that all of you know this. Twenty seven
days until the last vote is cast, and then who
(15:58):
knows how long it will take for us to know
whether or not democracy survives. So all I say to you,
dear friends, is buckle up. Take good care of yourselves
of each other, because we are in for it for
the next several months. Please do make sure to join
