Speaker 1 (00:11):
Good morning, peeps, and welcome to wok F Daily with
me El Danielle Moody, Delusional and recording from the home bunker.
I can't express to you how fucking tired I am
right now and how many fucking shows I have recorded
in such a short timeframe in order to just take
a couple of days off, But not from this show,

(00:32):
one of my other ones. Nonetheless, folks, I am recording
this before the debates happen, so this is not going
to be a debate show. But I do tell you
to head over to The New Abnormal, my show with
Andy Levy, where we are going to talk about what
we saw in the debates. So if you don't already

(00:53):
listen to The New Abnormal, which you totally should and
can get anywhere you get your podcasts, that show I will.
You will get my immediate reactions to what we saw. Nonetheless,
I want to talk today, on this fucking Friday, about
the decisions that have come out of this Supreme Court
this week. And they're not done. They're not done fucking

(01:15):
up this country yet, because they still coming for us
on Monday with more hot shit. But folks, you know
I continue to say this and I've said it so
many times on social media that if you are not
a person that has been anxious with knots in your stomach,
waiting on opinions for the Supreme Court to decide whether

(01:38):
or not you live or die, whether or not your
marriage is still valid, whether or not you know you're
able to sue those that do harm like you were
part of the very privileged class right because for the
rest of us, watching this weaponized, radicalized right wing, fucking
chrysto fascist Supreme Court is terrifying. I'll tell you what

(02:00):
a little tidbit. I went to a new dentist this week.
And I go to the dentist and you know, on one
of the forums, they're like, oh, you know, what do
you do for a living? Right, like what's your employment?
And I put down political strategists, And I have to
remind myself I need to change it to something else
when I go, because when I do that and actually
say what it is that I do, as opposed to

(02:22):
like podcaster or like whatever. When I say the fullness
of what I do a political strategist, people want to
have conversations. And so my dentist was like, oh, political
strategists say, how are you feeling? Like blah blah. He's like,
cause I'm fucking terrified. And so we started talking about
the decisions coming down from the Supreme Court and all

(02:43):
of these things. And you know, when I tell you that,
I am talking to so many different kinds of people,
so many different groups of people, and there is not
one group that is saying like, oh, don't worry. You know,
I feel really good about where we are and I
feel good about our chances. Not one fucking person do

(03:04):
I talk to that. That is their response. I told
you about going to the White House this week, right
to celebrate pride, and my issue and feelings about doing
that of feeling you know, very conflicted. Right, And so
I'm there, and I'm at the White House and I'm
seeing lots of old friends and colleagues and you know,

(03:24):
talking to folks, and there was this air of both
I don't know, I would say, happiness and joy, you know,
to celebrate pride in this big manner at the White House.
It was on the South Lawn, huge guests and just

(03:47):
like lots of kids running around and hot dogs. It's
just like one big family picnic, is the way that
they do lgbtqwo pride at the White House these days,
and it's wonderful, right, it's a beautiful experience. But a
lot of us attended with our conflicts, and we attended
because many people were saying that this could in fact

(04:08):
be the last pride that we ever see at the
White House ever again. And so to see the images
of the columns of the White House covered in rainbow flags,
to see you know, the full inclusive LGBTQ flag flying
right on government buildings all around DC, like you realize

(04:34):
that this can all go away? Why because it did before,
right they took down the LGBTQ site on white House
dot gov. When Donald Trump was in there, there were
no celebrations that were at the White House for different
communities at all. You know, for every month there is

(04:58):
a series of celeb whether it is Black History Month,
whether it is Asian Pacific Islander Month, whether it's women's
you know, like there are always celebrations, right to recognize
different groups and to have, you know, to give them
an opportunity to feel right like, this White House is
actually the people's house, all people's homes. So when you

(05:23):
look at the ways in which this Supreme Court and
the Republican Party is working over time to ensure that
we know in no uncertain terms that this country is
for white men only, and that everything that they are doing,

(05:44):
whether it is the attacks on DEI, the attacks on
trans youth, the attacks on LGBTQ people, the attacks on women,
so on and so forth, is to make it very
apparent that if you do not fall into their protected
class of being wealthy, powerful, sis, hetero white Christian quote

(06:09):
unquote men, then you do not belong. I was listening
the other fucking day to a clip of Jesse Waters,
that fucking dingbat motherfucker who sits on Fox News and
runs off his mouth about a whole host of things
that he doesn't know about, doesn't understand, but gets paid

(06:32):
millions of dollars to lie to millions of people on
a regular basis. Refer to Vice President Kamala Harris and
the Biden administration as a DEI administration. And I gotta
tell you because they use the word DEI right, like
that acronym as a replacement for what they really want

(06:52):
to say, which is the N word. And I'm like, say,
what's your fucking chest? If that is what you want
to say you don't need to use dog whistles anymore,
because the hoods are often we know who the fuck
you are, right and how you all are re maneuvering.
You don't want black people, women, queer people, or anyone
that is getting even an inch closer to having a

(07:13):
seat at the fucking table of this country, and in
any decision making power, you want it ripped away. And
so your code for that is DEI because you believe
that the only people that should ever have power, that
should ever have authority, and that quote unquote earned it
is white men. Let me tell you about a group

(07:34):
that I know that hasn't earned a fucking thing. And
I say that and I mean it because without the obstacles,
without the gate keeping right, I would like to see
exactly how competitive white men in this country would be,
because every other group has had to climb over obstacle

(07:58):
after obstacle, basically run a fucking steeplechase just to survive.
And the people that have been making the laws since
the beginning of time have been white men who own property,
whether that property was people, enslaved people, their wives right,

(08:20):
or actual what we consider in modern times, property, but
without the ability to bar other people from opportunities for generations,
where would white men be. It's a real fucking question, right,
if having to compete on merit alone, No lies about

(08:47):
who invented what right, No blocking women and black people
and people of color from universities, barring them from voting.
This is the question that we never ask because they're
too busy covering up and lying about the dirt that

(09:07):
has been done so that they can stay on top
of the pyramid. Because what they don't want is for
you to peel back the layers and to ask those
critical questions. So what do they do They get rid
of critical thought? Oh that's banned, right, This is damn

(09:28):
near nineteen eighty four. Up in this bitch with the
thought police. You think it too much, you're out of here.
Just keep your head down, your mouth closed, and your
eyes closed. Right will tell you where to go. And
so I say that very real because I want people
to really consider. Right, you have white supremacist men like

(09:52):
Elon Musk and Donald Trump talking about DEI talking about this,
that and the other thing, and people who are undeserving.
I can think of no other group of people that
is undeserving than those that have made their wealth their
name off of the backs of other people. So without
being handed everything, where would these men be, without having

(10:14):
the ability to manipulate laws to protect their greed, Where
would they be? I can tell you where I believe
that the rest of us would be. With the ability
to afford homes right, having built up communities that weren't
burned to the ground by crazed white mobs, black people
would have had generational wealth, right, But with generational wealth

(10:38):
comes actual power, and they did not want us to
have that. People always say, well, why can't black people
do for themselves? Oh no, no, no, they fucking did,
and they build grocery stores and barbershops and businesses throughout
this country, and they were terrorized and lynched and beaten
and dismembered and run out of town because of it.

(11:03):
The very last survivors of the Tulsa massacre were just
denied the hearing of a case. These one hundred year
old people, the least surviving witnesses to the atrocities that
were hidden for generations, were denied their hearing to call

(11:24):
for reparations. So the question has always been, oh, what
do these communities do for themselves? Oh? No, There are
fucking books upon books upon books upon books that can
lift up the work that black people had done and
have continued to do to build out their communities into

(11:46):
thriving spaces until the klu Klux Klan, the White Citizens'
Council and craze white mobs who did not want to
compete murdered them and ran them out of town. These
are the histories that they do not want you to
know because it doesn't fit into the narrative of laziness

(12:08):
of racial superiority. So what this Supreme Court is doing
is what has always been done, the protection of white, rich,
cis hetero men and their property and the stripping away
from those that they don't believe are deserving because you see,

(12:29):
affirmative action and all of these other laws that were
put into place were to combat the generations of laws
that have been on the fucking books that disallowed people
the autonomy to create the American dream for themselves. Instead
of reparations, it was affirmative action that was put in

(12:49):
place to allow access to higher educations and employment. And
so then when black people wanted to create their own
schools and do their own thing, those were torched and
bombed too. You see the point of white supremacies for
black people not to exist, and if they do exist,
it is to exist only to be in service to

(13:11):
and of whiteness. Anything outside of that they want to
be illegal, and they are doing it one decision at
a time and with their lap dog Clarence Thomas leading
the way. The other decision that came out was Mtala

(13:36):
case that went through the court coming from Idaho. Idaho
has a total abortion ban or a nearer total abortion ban.
The federal government sued and said that we have provisions
in m Tala in emergency cases to preserve the health

(13:57):
and well being of a pregnant person. So they sued
the Sate of Idaho. And let me just tell you
that who I appreciate right now in one of the
decisions in the Amtala case that came down was Katanji
Brown Jackson. Justice Katanji Brown Jackson, and what she said,

(14:20):
because what they did decide in some halfway was that oh,
for right now, pregnant people in Idaho get to live
for right now. But they didn't actually decide the merits
of the case. And I want to read to you
a piece of her descent So to be clear, today's

(14:42):
decision is not a victory for pregnant patients in Idaho.
It is delay. While this court dawdles and the country waits,
pregnant people experiencing emergency medical conditions remain in a precarious position,
as their doctors are kept in the dark about what
the law requires. This court had a chance to bring

(15:03):
clarity and certainty to this tragic situation, and we have
squandered it. And for as long as we refuse to
declare what the law requires, pregnant patients in Idaho, Texas
and elsewhere will be paying the price because we owe
them and the nation an answer to the straightforward preemption

(15:24):
question presented in these cases. I respectfully dissent in Layman's terms.
These motherfuckers are out here playing games. They're out here
playing games with people's lives, whether those people be bleeding
out in an emergency room. They're playing games with doctors'

(15:45):
lives who don't know whether to save a patient, which
is the oath that they took, or to save themselves
from prosecution. Therefore, I can't express to you what a
place of discovers we are in in this country, what
a place of just absolute embarrassment. What I posted on

(16:11):
social media following the decision, which was this, we live
in a country where a pregnancy isn't a blessing or
a miracle, but a potential death sentence or jail time,
all depending on the whims of nine black robes. It's
really sick. The women in Idaho get to live for
the moment. How nice. The last thing I will say today,

(16:34):
on this fucking Friday, is that there is an ad
that is going around on social media and frankly it
needs to be everywhere. It is so I don't think
folks that people get what is happening. But the ad,

(16:57):
which is done so beautifully and I shared it, and
it's from Way to Win, which is a national strategy tank.
And in the ad you have this straight couple that
is in a car and they're making out, you know,
and then the guy says, hey, they're in front of
a convenience store. I'll be right back, I'll be quick.

(17:18):
Girl's like, okay, she's fixing her, you know, our lipstick.
And he runs into the store and he picks up
at the front of the counter a pack of condoms
and one of those rose roses in a rose in
plastic and he puts it down on the counter, and
the woman behind the counter says, do you have ID?

(17:39):
And so he's like, you need ID to buy condoms now,
and the woman says yeah, Republicans have passed legislation that
voted against the Right to Contraception Act. And she's like,
I don't make the rules. So then she takes out
a clipboard. The woman the sales clerk. She starts asking
a lot of questions. Are these cond for use with

(18:00):
a spouse? Are you in a committed relationship? Is that
relationship monogamous? Is it a heterosexual relationship? And then ask
something about Taylor Swift? Right? Do you listen to Taylor Swift?
And then she goes down to listen. She says, oh,
I'm sorry, you're not eligible to buy condoms. And he's

(18:21):
like what, and she's like, yeah, I don't make the rules.
You're not eligible to buy condoms right now, But do
you want the rose? And the ad ends with the
black screen that says they haven't come for condoms yet,
but they are definitely coming for contraception IVF birth control,
and they said, you want to preserve your rights and
your privacy and your future vote Democrats. That is an

(18:44):
ad that needs to play on every billboard, on every
social media platform, on every television station from now until
the election. But of course to do so costs money.
But this is what people have to understand. Your lives
will change like that if Donald Trump is reelected, if

(19:05):
these Republicans gain any more power, and there will be
no recourse, much like we are learning with the decisions
that are coming down from the Supreme Court for generations
to come. If this fucking country does not get its
shit together and recognize the existential threat that we are facing,
we will be fucked for generations. That's it. So are

(19:28):
you a gambling person or not? That is it for
me today, Dear friends on woke a app as always, Power
to the people and to all the people. Power, Get
woke and stay woke as fuck.
