Speaker 1 (00:11):
Good morning, peeps, and welcome to wok F Daily with
me your Girl, Danielle Moody, recording from the home Bunker. Folks,
I come to you today as reports have gone around
that are incredibly disturbing, but I'll read you this headline,
(00:32):
suspect arrested after reports of threats towards FEMA operations in
North Carolina. Over the past couple of weeks, I've talked
about on this show and others about how the rhetoric
and lies outright lies being told about what isn't happening
(00:58):
with government assistance or the hurricane victims, that it would
turn into violence, because at the end of the day,
that is what the Republican Party wants. They want violence
because violence gives them the permission to escalate their plans
(01:21):
for authoritarianism and a dictatorship. That if they can create
enough chaos and make it seem as if Democrats don't
know how to keep people safe and they can be
the cause of said chaos, but then turn around and
(01:44):
somehow want to be its night and shining armor that
their plan comes together. And so what has happened over
the weekend in North Carolina is that, according to CNN,
authorities have made an arrest in connection with threats made
(02:04):
toward FEMA responders, according to the Rutherford County Sheriff's office,
and this is what they went on to write and
I will read this. Aid to several communities impacted by
Hurricane Helene was temporarily paused in parts of North Carolina
over the weekend due to reports of threats against Federal
(02:24):
Emergency Management Agency responders amid a backdrop of misinformation about
responses to recent storms. Some FEMA teams helping disaster survivors
apply for assistance in rural North Carolina are currently working
at a secure disaster recovery centers in counties where federal
workers are receiving threats. Quote. For the safety of our
(02:47):
dedicated staff and the disaster survivors we are helping, FEMA
has made some operational adjustments. Disaster recovery centers will continue
to be open as scheduled. Survivors continue to writ register
for assistance, and we continue to help the people of
North Carolina with their recovery. That is the world that
(03:09):
Maga Republicans have created. And I don't refer to them
as Maga Republicans because I think that they are like
sane Republicans. They're not. That's just their new name so
that we understand and attached to them the extremist ideology
that is becoming operationalized because of their hateful rhetoric. And
(03:35):
I don't care that there have been Republicans politicians that
have come out and tried to tell the truth, have
tried to educate their constituents on what is actually happening,
and they aid that they need because why it has
now become politically comfortable and conducive for them to now
(04:02):
want to go to their constituents because Donald Trump's lies
are hurting their state and their constituents. So now they
want to turn around and say no, no, no, what
he's saying is not true. FEMA is aiding us. Biden
and Harris have been helpful, They've given us all the
things that we need. Now is the time that they
(04:24):
want to intervene when it helps them. But when Donald
Trump began telling lies, which was nine years ago, they
said nothing. They stood idly by while all of this
took hold like a cancer in our society. For us
to get to this point, and what I continue to
(04:46):
say is when are we going to just connect the
dots between the escalation and violence and Donald Trump. I'm
so fucking tired of the euphemisms. I'm so fucking tired
of walking around on eggshells because what because these fucking
papers are somehow concerned with getting sued. No, they're not.
(05:09):
They could give a fuck right. What they are concerned
with is access in favor. So instead of providing the
American people with information and connecting the dots and doing
deep analysis, which is not even that deep, because it's
so goddamn clear, a toddler can put it together that
Donald Trump has been spreading lies about FEMA and now
(05:33):
there is violence towards FEMA. Donald Trump was spreading lies
about Haitian immigrants in Springfield, Ohio, and then that area
receives bomb threats. Donald Trump was spreading lies about Asian
Americans and lying about the COVID virus, and then that
community received higher death threats and acts of violence. Like
(05:53):
connect the fucking dots, whether it is a specific person
or a commune, Donald Trump and the Republican Party's entire
goal is violence is bloodshed. That is why you know
you have Donald Trump saying right now that he wants
(06:15):
there to be military action. On election day to quote
unquote combat the enemy within. What the fuck does that
even mean? So anyone that doesn't vote for Donald Trump
is an enemy. Anyone that does not want to bow
down and kiss the ring of white supremacy is the enemy.
(06:41):
I don't know how many people need to tell us.
But once again, in of course, another fucking book, the
book that Bob Woodward put out that he thought was
more important for him to, you know, sell another book
about Donald Trump rather than tell people in a timely fashion,
like when he learns of it that Donald Trump sent
(07:03):
COVID testing equipment to Russia, to Vladimir Putin, that Donald
Trump knew that the COVID virus was as dangerous and
lethal as it was, he just didn't care. But you know,
Bob Woodward decided that he would rather sell books and
sell out our democracy than do anything else. Nonetheless, the
former Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff, Mark Milly
(07:26):
has said has stated that Donald Trump is fascist to
the core and is quote the most dangerous person in
this country. These are comments that he apparently said, that
is in Bob Woodward's new book. And this comes after
more than a year after serving under Donald Trump because
(07:49):
he continued his role under President Joe Biden until he
stepped down in the fall of last year. But you know,
in his speech and is retire speech, Mark Milly said
this quote, we don't take an oath to a king
or a queen to a tyrant or dictator or want
to be dictator. Obviously we know that in those moments,
(08:14):
in that moment he was talking about Donald Trump, he
knew that Donald Trump wanted to use the United States
military as his own private militia that would go after
his quote unquote perceived enemies. And who are those enemies?
Like I said at the top, anyone that has voted
(08:35):
against Donald Trump, anyone that has spoken out against Donald Trump.
That is who the enemy is. And so when you
look at this, folks, when you see this all playing out,
and that people his followers or organizing militia groups in
(08:58):
order to attack FEMA, yeah, one plus one equals two.
But of course mainstream media isn't gonna lay this at
the feet of Donald Trump, right because they like to believe,
or they've liked to lie to me and lie to
all of us and say that, oh, well, he doesn't
really mean what he says, right, This is their stainwashing.
(09:20):
You know, he just toughs. He just talks tough. That's
his way, you know, shoots from the hip, doesn't mince words,
doesn't use talking points. That's the way that Republicans and
corporate mainstream media has liked to lie to us about
Donald Trump's escalating, violent Nazi rhetoric. He's just plain spoken. No,
(09:42):
he's just a fucking racist. Oh, we didn't mean poisoning
the blood. Oh he didn't mean to ban Muslims for
the country. No, he absolutely did. And everything that he
said during his campaign in twenty sixteen, he actually did. Oh,
except for build the wall and have Mexico pay for it. So,
(10:03):
when we're sitting here and we're being told by a
career military general that Donald Trump is a fascist to
his core, explain to me how that is not front page,
NonStop news coverage from now until November. Well, because they're
(10:25):
all in on it and they want Trump to win,
because a close horse race election is good for the papers,
it's good for the website, it's good for a clickbait.
It just happens to be detrimental to, you know, the
survival of our democracy. But who cares, right, so long
(10:46):
as CEOs and shareholders are able to buy their third, fourth,
and fifth homes. I will say this, you know, as
we are just a couple of weeks away from this
final day of voting, which is November fifth, That is it.
That is a final day of voting. So I please
(11:08):
encourage people like if you happen to live in an
area where they have ripped out polling stations and are
just making it increasingly difficult and there'll be hours long wait,
you know, vote now, vote early. But the fact is
that they want this election to be close enough to
(11:29):
steal it. They want this election to work in the
way that two thousand did, and for it to get
kicked up to the Supreme Court for Mike well first,
before it even gets kicked up to the Supreme Court,
for Mike Johnson to not certify the election, for these
states that are trying to institute their underhanded suppression tactics,
(11:52):
for that to take hold, or for there to be
violence in those states, which is what many in the
right wing are calling for, for there to be violence
in the battleground states to impede on the counting of botes.
And I'm telling you, if I'm the Biden administration. I'm
not waiting for violence to occur. If I'm the Biden administration,
(12:15):
i am calling out like maybe I'm calling out the
National Guard to be on stand, you know, like to
be standing by in these battleground states where we know
that there are white supremacist organizations. Because I'm going to
tell you, folks, I'm going to be honest. I do
(12:35):
not think that we are going to escape this election
season without a lot of violence. And while January sixth
was directed on one day at the Capitol Building really
directed towards Mike Pence, that I believe that we are
(12:56):
going to see violence widespread throughout the country because that's
what they want. They want absolute and total fucking chaos.
They want people to be intimidated and scared to go
to the polls, right, so they'll start popping up with
different acts of violence and terrorism in these areas so
that people stay home. And then if Donald Trump does
(13:19):
not win the election and states are called as Fox
News called you know, Arizona and other outlets are calling
you know states, I think that we are going to
see a lot of crazy shit pop off. And I
want this administration to be prepared for it and not
be caught flat footed. But we have to start anticipating
(13:42):
what it is that Donald Trump is going to do.
And mind you, it's not that hard because he says
all of the quiet parts out loud. I said that
as we got closer to this election, Donald Trump was
going to get increasingly unhinged. His rhetoric was going to
become increasingly more violent, because that's what you do when
you feel like you're backed up against the wall. Because
(14:04):
let's remember what is at stake. If Donald Trump loses
this election, the likelihood of him facing serious jail time
or a serious loss of money and status, which is
probably more likely than jail time, is very very high.
If he is not able, by virtue of being president
(14:27):
to waive a magic wand and do away with all
of these cases, and he has no election, no reelection
campaign to pin this on, right, then he's pretty much
asked out. Because these Republicans, as we know, they are
loyal to a certain extent. But do we really think
(14:47):
that Donald Trump loses in twenty twenty four, that they're
running an Octanegerian again in twenty twenty eight. They'll run
the same playbook, but they will absolutely a different face.
So everything is at stake for Donald Trump in this election.
It has nothing to do honestly, if we want to
(15:10):
be real about it, it has nothing to do with
Project twenty twenty five for him. It has everything to
do with Project twenty twenty five for the fascist Republican movement.
But for him, this is just solely about his survival.
This is solely about his own Trump empire. And without
(15:31):
being able to wield the power of being a candidate
or being president, the likelihood that he will lose these
cases and these cases will see their way to the
inside of actual courtrooms following this election, one right after
the other, is really high, and he knows that. So
(15:54):
my feeling is that if Donald Trump loses and loses big,
meaning that what we all said during the Democratic National Convention,
this win needs to be so big that it is
too big to steal. So if you know, by fate
of the gods and the universe that democracy is able
(16:17):
to survive Kamala and Tim Wall's win, Donald Trump has
multiple court cases that are going to be on a
fast track following that election because all of the perception
around you know, oh, we don't want to seem like
we're playing politics, and we don't want to seem like this,
that and the other thing. All bets will be off.
(16:40):
And my hope would be that when the inauguration happens
and Madam President begins to fill out her cabinet, that
one of the most important positions, Attorney General, goes to
somebody with fight in them, with actual teeth, that wants
(17:00):
to see the prosecution of Donald Trump all the way through.
That is his biggest nightmare. So when a rabid dog
is backed into a corner, all they know how to
do is attack, attack, attack. We know this and so
America needs to be prepared. That is it for me today. Here,
(17:27):
friends on Woke af as always, power to the people
and to all the people. Power, Get woke and stay
woke as fuck.
