La congiura dei Pazzi
Il 26 Aprile 1478, nella Cattedrale di Santa Maria del Fiore a Firenze, va in scena l'episodio più drammatico del Rinascimento: Bernardo Bandini, Francesco Pazzi e Antonio Maffei aggrediscono Giuliano e Lorenzo de' Medici. Il primo muore, il secondo rimane ferito. La folla però si schiera dalla parte del Magnifico e la congiura finirà in un bagno di sangue e sfocerà in un conflitto aspro tra gli stati italiani. La vicenda viene raccontata da Giovanni da Montesecco, l'uomo del gran rifiuto: incaricato di assassinare i fratelli, si sottrae al compito poche ore prima del massacro. La sua confessione ci porta direttamente nel cuore di quell'epoca e fa luce sulle questioni più spinose della Congiura dei Pazzi.
