The PRESS Movement Prayer Podcast

The PRESS Movement Prayer Podcast

This podcast is a short Bible Study designed to take you through the Bible, one prayer at a time! We will study the circumstances behind each prayer and learn to strategically apply what we have learned to our prayer lives. In this podcast you will learn how to pray, the power of prayer, the art of repentance and more. Real life means real pressures, but Prayer Reaches Every Single Situation (PRESS)! We don't always know how God will get in our situation, but we can be assured that He will get into our situations. Let's press together! Like, share and subscribe this weekly podcast for God-given prayer strategies for the end time followers of Jesus Christ. The PRESS started in 2012 as a project for the Turning Point Youth Department (TPYD). The initial purpose of the PRESS was to actively recruit people to pray and document their prayer time so that TPYD could account for 1,000,000 minutes of prayer in one month. Not only did TPYD reach it's goal of accounting for a million minutes of prayer, but it was soon realized that the PRESS was bigger than simply counting minutes. In just a few short months of advertising, TPYD was on TV, radio, doing conferences and had over 17,000 fans on Facebook. The movement was only beginning! Now there a have been PRESS clubs in over 40 locations- including universities, YMCAs, neighborhoods, high schools and more! We are so excited for what the Lord has done through the PRESS! @thepressmovement @presstopray www.presstopray.com #pray #prayer #howtopray #powerofprayer #repent #Christian #ChristianYouthGroups

Prayer: God Sees Your Heart takes us into Luke 18, where Jesus shares a powerful parable of two men who came to pray — and walked away with two very different outcomes. In this episode, we explore how prayer is not measured by volume, language, or length, but by honesty, humility, and the posture of the heart.

One man prayed with pride, performance, and comparison. The other prayed with surrender, repentance, and truth. Jesus makes ...

In this gripping episode of the Press Movement Podcast, Taquoya Porter walks us through one of the most sobering passages in all of Scripture — Luke 16, the account of the rich man and Lazarus. Unlike the parables surrounding it, this narrative is intentionally left vague, leaving listeners to wrestle with whether Jesus is telling a story… or exposing a true glimpse into eternity.

Paula explores the rich man’s haunting reality: in h...

In this episode of the PRESS Movement Podcast, we uncover one of the most surprising “prayers” in the Bible—spoken not by a prophet or a disciple, but by the devils themselves. In Mark chapter 1, Jesus enters the synagogue, teaches with authority, and is confronted by an unclean spirit crying out, “Let us alone!” Though it comes from a dark source, this plea still recognizes the power and authority of Jesus Christ.

In this week’s episode of the PRESS Movement Podcast, Taquoya Porter dives into Matthew 11—a short but powerful prayer where Jesus thanks the Father for revealing truth not to the proud, but to the humble.

Jesus says, “I thank thee, O Father… because thou hast hidden these things from the wise and prudent and revealed them unto babes.” What does that mean for us today? Paula walks through the contrast between those who think they al...

Jonah is one of the most fascinating characters in Scripture—not because of his obedience, but because of his resistance. In this episode of the Press Movement Podcast, we step into Jonah chapter 4 and unpack his raw, emotional prayer after Nineveh repents. Instead of rejoicing, Jonah is angry. He knew God would be merciful, gracious, and slow to anger—and that’s exactly what frustrated him.

In The Prayer That Stopped God’s Judgment – Amos 7, we dive into one of the most powerful yet overlooked prayers in Scripture. Amos, a humble shepherd turned prophet, was chosen by God to deliver a heavy message of judgment against nations, including Israel itself. In the midst of God’s fierce declarations, Amos dared to pray a simple yet bold plea: “O Lord God, forgive… by whom shall Jacob arise? For he is small.” (Amos 7:2, 5).
