And that's why we love her the most ya'll... Chlöe from the iconic sister duo stopped in to chat about her (in my words) ~biased~ towards Phillies fan's while performing the anthem at the 2022 World Series. And of course I had to get all the tea about her new musical & album -- including the VERY up close and personal music video she shot with Chris Brown that I needed ALL the dirty details about. (00:01):
Recorded live at the iHeart Studios inPhiladelphia. Howe markets it's serving sir rage,
yet now here's rage. I thinkI think this is good things about
me, but um, let's chatall about you. Enough about me.
I feel like this is so weirdbecause I know we just met personally,
but I'm having like a very proudfriend moment because I first saw you got

(00:21):
when I first started here at Qno. Two. You were on the run
to a tour with your sister andI watched you open and I'm like,
these girls got it. And nowwe here we are. You're in Philly
opening the World series with the nationalanthem. Isn't that crazy? That was
here in Philly? Right? Yes, it was. What was your first
impression of Phillies? Man's Oh man, they were so kind, liar.
No, And one time Sis andI we were here seeing the national anthem,

(00:44):
I believe for the draft, okay, and the crowd was so nice
and we didn't know Philly were likeyou guys and stuff. Yeah, but
the crowd was so nice. Soour team told us after the fact after
we got off stage, We're like, really, there were So that's how
you know that we like you?Led so that's amazing. I love Philly.
Oh, We're gonna love you tentimes harder when you perform tonight.
I cannot freaking wait. And bysis you mean Halle Right, Okay,

(01:07):
do you guys ever have like sistermoments? Like I know you're like two
years apart. Do you ever feellike you have like that sister telepathy,
or like when you guys aren't doingyour thing together, like you feel something's
going on with her all the time. No matter what each of us are
going through, somehow we're in thesame mood. Okay, and like feeling
the same emotion for different causes. What's her sign? She's an aries?
Is that compatible? I'm trying tohelp cancers aren't like usually supposed to be

(01:32):
compatible opposite tract. I know, but I'm not the type of like person
with the zodiac who's like, oh, I gotta stay away from this sign
specifically, you know. I'm like, Okay, we'll see how you are
as a person, right right,Okay, good. I'm glad that you
give everyone a trial and error. It's amazing. Okay, So, I
know you just dropped like fourteen newsongs on this amazing album of yours,
um and I need to ask thehardest hitting question. Yes, what was

(01:57):
it like having Chris Brown so closeto your face? Because it was so
hot to me and I need toknow all about it, please. He
was so kind really, and youknow we met on the video shoot,
right, and he was so nice. Wait we first met, Yes,
and your chemistry in that music videoand the song title it's on the top
of my tongue. How does itfeel? How does I Literally my heart
was pounding because I was like,it's Chris Browse. See. I watched

(02:19):
it again for the seventeenth hundred timethis morning, and I'm like, they
look like like they had to havehad some sort of like chemistry before,
because you guys make it seems soeffortless. And I was like, this
is probably not weird for them becausethey're probably best friends in real life.
And you met that day. Wemet that day. Oh, I would
have lost my ship. Yeah,I was. I was in my robe
walking out from another scene that Iwas shooting before he got there, and
he was just like chilling outside andhe was so nice and I was like,

(02:43):
Hey, thanks for doing this withme. He was the sweetest guy
ever. Oh. I can't waitto report Back. Me and my bestie
have like a very hard hitting obsessionwith Chris Brown, so I told her
I would ask you and get allthe team. But let's talk about your
new album In Pieces, of course, my favorite is cheap Back and can
I please tell you why why?I was cracking up watching it for the
first time, because like, youstart the song and it's like an acoustic

(03:06):
guitar, so you think we're gettingready for like a beautiful heartfelt like from
the Core ballad, which it is, but when you deep dive into the
lyrics, I'm like, oh,my girl, Chloe, she's looking savage.
It's very toxic, it is,but I love it. Yes,
tell us where like this came from. I love the juxtaposition of it.
It's like it sounds really sweet andsad, but it's like really gangster and

(03:27):
savage. It really is, Iknow. And so Toronto, who I
wrote Have Mercy and Told You With, he sent me, you know,
the demo and it was his voicewith a guitar on it, and I
was like, oh, and Iwas just going, guitars beautiful. I
know, I love it. AndI was going through a breakup at the
time because I found out he wasn'tbeing like faithful. So I was like,
okay, this is it, andI set up my computer even though

(03:50):
I had COVID. I was lockedup in my home. The best time
to write music, yes, andI just started recording and I wrote the
bridge really fast because I was justlike it was just oozing through my poor
yeah, yeah, toxicness, andit was great, very healing. Does
now X right? Does he knowthat the song is about him? I
don't know. Okay, do youwant them to know? I don't know.

(04:14):
Okay. I mean it's really upto them because the song is so
true, fair enough, you know, but like the song is so like
in your face. I'm telling itlike it is like I want to do
you so dirty. And the dirtiestform of music is like letting someone know
like this is going to pop offand near the problem that's true, or
we give them the validation and thebest performing songs on stage. I'll get
my anger out through the songs onthe stage. Oh my god, that
probably has to be like the bestworkout class ever. Oh yeah, wow.

(04:38):
I kind of envy that feeling. But like you speak to everyone's soul
because it's not like like yeah, like you could be like devious and like
rebellious to a situation like that, but there's nothing worse than being counter cheated
on, you know what I mean, Like you're saying what people are feeling,
but no one does exactly because nobodywants to feel how someone else made
them feel, right, right,WHOA, You know, we're tapping into

(05:01):
a realm of my emotions that Idon't know if I was already that right,
And I think it's like a hugelike principal thing where it's like you
have to treat people how you wantto be treated. So if you treat
people like shit, then you'll gettreated like shit. If you treat people
with respect and love and all ofthat in between, then you'll get that
back. And that's on karma, bitch, that's on karma. That's right.

(05:21):
Okay, So now let's talk aboutyour worlds colliding because you've not only
like embraced the whole sister duo thing. Now you're a solo artist and then
you swan dove into the acting industryand now it's all coming together because you're
performing in a musical. How isthat for you? You clearly are so
excited in your personality I'm sure, like you said on stage, transpires,

(05:42):
But what's that like for you? It's so exciting, you know, to
be a part of a Girl fromNorth Country. It's a Tony Award winning
musical to be called. Praise Thisby the way, sorry, I'll praise
this, Yes, praise this.God is good. So many blessings flowing
down. I'm like, which onesay? So praise this. It's out
now. It's this amazing film aboutlike choir and the Praise Team and stuff

(06:03):
like that. So that was reallyfun. I got to play this girl
named Sam, and I can't waitfor all the acting projects like with Girl
from North Country and Midas Touch andall the ones that we have in between.
But wow, you know you canstream Praise This on Peacock everywhere,
shameless plug, I love. Sodo you feel like the character you play?
And what was the name of thecharacter? Can you just said Sam?
Sam? Do you feel like yousee yourself and Sam? Yes?

(06:24):
And the way of how passionate sheis about her music, yes, in
that way, she's very sassy. She can be a little rude and I'm
not a rude but don't seem likethat at all. Yeah, how do
you is that like, um,is that also a weird form of therapy
for you, Like you get toact as somebody that you're not usual because
I'm not a violent person. Iam not rude. So anytime I wanted

(06:45):
to be ever and like I wouldlike beat up on myself for not being
that or saying something back that Ireally wanted to say, I was able
to do it as Sam right,And maybe you can use that in your
real life too, Like God forbade, like you just snap one day You're
like sorry that that wasn't Chloe, that was yeah, Yeah, I'm Dad.
Well I'm like again, proud friendmoment. Just like watching you grow
in your journey. Thank you,it's so inspiring. And I know we've

(07:06):
had like so many moments where youcome across so many amazing people. But
if there's one thing that we canclose it all down with and like something
that lives rent free in your brainthat's helped you carry yourself throughout the entirety
of your career, what's that onething that someone has ever told you that's
just like that's stuck. Something mygod Mom has told me is to fight
for myself and to never give up. And I feel like we all have

(07:29):
those moments where we do want togive up and we're like what am I
doing? Is it worth it?Like what is all of this for?
But you just have to kind ofstick stick with it and you'll see all
the blessings come out of it.So that's something I'm definitely reminding myself.
Yeah, do you like have torely on speaking to myself here because I
do it all the time, likea planner or a journal to help center

(07:49):
that thought or that focus for yourself. Again, definitely a lot of prayer.
I gotta pray to God. Iused to journal all the time,
so I gotta get back to thatfor sure. I made it my New
Year's resolution this year, and like, by the grace of God, I'm
sticking with it and it's been lifechanging. Just like, thank you very
