get this party started. Everyone to give a warm Philly
welcome to Isabell la Rossa.
Speaker 2 (00:16):
How are you guys doing? That was so lame?
Speaker 1 (00:21):
We're so good?
Speaker 2 (00:22):
Yeah, oh my god, where's where's come on? Guys? It's like,
what how is this time? Is it?
Speaker 1 (00:27):
What time is it?
Speaker 2 (00:29):
Okay? Okay?
Speaker 1 (00:30):
Coffee has said in by now let's get this part
and started before we start. I feel this though, it's
important to say that you guys are a sibling duo. Yes,
this is so special. So we're getting like a backyard
like moment right now. And I love this for us.
Speaker 2 (00:43):
God something is it? No? No, no, this is great.
Speaker 1 (00:44):
This.
Speaker 2 (00:45):
We used to do a lot of open mic nights
as a key, you know, when we were younger. So
this is we know this. You know, not this out
of radio station, but you know acoustic. We know it.
Speaker 1 (00:55):
Okay, So I take it. Your family parties are lit.
They have entertainment bills in so cool okay. Wait, and
language Colombian.
Speaker 2 (01:05):
I'm half cute or half Cuban.
Speaker 1 (01:07):
Wow, very cool so is your family very music oriented?
Is that how you got like this sibling duo going?
Speaker 2 (01:13):
Definitely. Our our dad is a casual jazz musician and
he always wanted musician kids, so he you know, we
got like four snipiano lessons and stuff. But I grew
up singing jazz standards and he played guitar and we
would go to jazz jims and saying when I was
like seven, I love that.
Speaker 1 (01:31):
Yeah, casually he got.
Speaker 2 (01:31):
What he needed.
Speaker 1 (01:32):
That's it.
Speaker 2 (01:32):
I don't think he really expected us to take it
this far, to be honest, I think he was like, oh,
they're probably hopefully they're like doctors and they maybe they
like play jazz on the side.
Speaker 1 (01:40):
But no, I was gonna say, my brother and I
are polar oppersits. He's going to be a doctor, and
I just talked to everyone's off. So I'm just I'm
very thoroughly impressed by the two of you having similar
interests and being able to do something like this.
Speaker 2 (01:50):
So that's really special.
Speaker 1 (01:51):
And you guys go on tour together, I assume, of
course that's so oh my gosh. Imagine like traveling the
world with your siblings. If you actually like each other,
that's really cool.
Speaker 2 (01:58):
Right, we get along very well, so it's very it's
very fun. It's it's just the craziest thing to be
able to do. And I mean I would not ever
want to do it with anybody else. So I love that.
Speaker 1 (02:08):
Oh see, this is my brother's my best friend. So
this is like I'm trying not to cry. So would
you say your parents are your musical inspiration or do
you have other I guess artists that you take influence to.
Speaker 2 (02:20):
Definitely, I mean, I I'm so grateful to my dad
because of just you know, I've always been you know,
inspired by my dad about my parents and everything. I think,
you know, jazz like the genre of it I've learned,
Like as I grew up, I didn't I didn't really
think it was that cool as a kid, But now
I listen back and I'm like, oh, those songs are incredible,
Like no wonder they're classics. But I think now, I mean,
(02:44):
we're we you know, I'm a big Lana Fin and
you know, a Billy Finn the neighborhood, all those kind
of artists that I have twenty one pilots. We grew
up for twenty one pilots. You know, I just from
scrolling on YouTube and watch music videos as a kid.
So yeah, well you're giving all all of those and
what thank you?
Speaker 1 (03:05):
Speaking of scrolling, I know that this day and age,
TikTok has become a huge outlet for artists that are
starting up, And would you say it's done the same
for you?
Speaker 2 (03:12):
Yeah? Absolutely, I mean I feel like, you know, without
being able to get out like the music that we
make on TikTok, I mean, I genuinely I don't know
if I would have a career or not, or at
least the same career. So I am. It's it's crazy
that you can just instantly have like you can you
can post a video with a song and that's on
(03:33):
go viral and you can have a number one hit
off like a video like that's crazy, you know. So
it's it's a very wild, you know, way to be
able to get your music out there.
Speaker 1 (03:42):
Would you do you think you prefer it that way
because I know, over the pandemic kind of transition see
I talk for even transitioned us all into utilizing those
platforms to help spearhead our careers, whether that be broadcasting
or artistry in any type of form. So do you
prefer that way or is there something I guess different
about the old school way of how you have to
(04:03):
go through different realms before you can make it to
this stage.
Speaker 2 (04:07):
To be honest, I love the way this is right
down because I feel like I've come into the you know,
the industry now with like at like post covid and
having everything being on social media, and so I don't
know the world that it was before that, but I
feel like what I've heard is at least that having
(04:28):
TikTok and having like these social media platforms enables you
to not have to listen to anybody else basically, and
you can do what you want. And it's just like
I feel like we we just have to. It's like
in more internal, which is really nice.
Speaker 1 (04:46):
I love that gives you like the freedom to do
as yeah as the way you would want to do
it exactly.
Speaker 2 (04:50):
Being in like.
Speaker 1 (04:52):
The social media culture. What are your biggest social media X?
Speaker 2 (04:58):
Biggest social media X. Oh that's a great question.
Speaker 1 (05:03):
That's a hard one.
Speaker 2 (05:04):
I just think they're like, I, Okay, what I don't
like this isn't even necessarily social media, but it happens
a lot on social media. Maybe I'm just maybe I'm
just salty. But when when songs like start to get
big on the app after, when they get really big,
then everyone's like I hate this song, like I never
liked it anyways, and I'm like, you made it big?
(05:25):
What are you talking about? Like it just makes me
so angry. I'm like, I don't like you guys made
it popular, like you have to like it, but that
really it just it just annoys me.
Speaker 1 (05:35):
I'm like, God, that's like a troll at its finest.
And with that, I give you a Miley Cyrus quote
that sticks with me and lives my brain rent free
and it's keep on hat end. You're making me famous.
Speaker 2 (05:44):
Yep. I'm like, I saw I saw a comment about
me the other day and I was scrolling and I
was like, Hey, at least you're talking about me, So
that's that's it.
Speaker 1 (05:53):
You guys have tours set toward eight set and from
what I've seen so far, all in Europe so far.
Speaker 2 (05:59):
We have uh we were doing a Europe run and
then we announced US run pretty recently and it's just
I'm so excited. It's like first truly truly headlined tours,
so wow, it should be fun.
Speaker 1 (06:14):
It's going to be fun. If it's anything like this,
it's going to be absolutely amazing. And we were just
and no, we will because this is just the start
and there's so much further you can grow and go
and I love that for you guys, and I'm excited
to see where that takes you. Dream This is my
last question. I promise. Oh the dream venue that you are,
you know, chasing dream venue this?
Speaker 2 (06:34):
Yeah, Red Rocks or we've always talked about. We're from Annapolis, Maryland,
and so the Navy Stadium is like one day we
would love to sell out the Navy Stadium.
Speaker 1 (06:45):
I love that that's home for you.
Speaker 2 (06:47):
Yeah, oh, I love that.
Speaker 1 (06:48):
Well, congratulations on your career. Anyone have any questions before
we send them off? I'm hearing a lot, so she's overwhelmed, truly.
Speaker 2 (06:57):
I can't. Well.
Speaker 1 (06:58):
We want to thank you for your time, and I
am so excited to see where you guys go and
we can't wait to watch you.
Speaker 2 (07:02):

Speaker 1 (07:03):
Everyone give it up for the Rosa fam.
Speaker 2 (07:05):

It's very cool that anyone cares at all, so I'm
very grateful. Thank you so much.
