(00:00):
All right, I am very happyand excited to have an amazing human on
the line. Jesse. Here Ihave Dan Campbell of the Wonder Years.
Hey, good morning. How areyou Guten Morgan Um, not bad.
There's some big stuff happening lonelyest placeon earth Fest September nine, Franklin Musical
(00:20):
Outdoors. This is big stuff. And what's four one one on the situation?
Well, yeah, this is ourbiggest headline show ever and as of
last night, it is sold outalready, which is crazy under a week
for like I said, our biggest, our biggest headlining show of our whole
lives, our whole careers, soyou know, mostly coming in here to
(00:42):
say thank you to Philly for youknow, showing us that kind of love
and picking up the tickets really reallyfast. It's incredible. Yeah. I
had a caller couple days ago andhe was absolutely thrilled. I mean he
was so incredibly excited for this. And then when you guys announced it,
it was so weird, Like myDan Campbell radar was on because I was
(01:02):
thinking about you. You popped inmy head and just like, oh,
he's so great. And then acouple days after we announced this one and
you got a ton of bands onthe bill. How did you go about
picking and choosing the bands? Wejust picked bands that we love. That
was kind of our thing with this. So we're doing is also the anniversary
play for our record, The GraadestGeneration that turns ten, and so we're
(01:25):
doing that a whole record, andwe totally we were in a position to
just say, screw it, let'sjust pick bands we really like. And
so Action Adventure from Chicago was playinga couple of Philly bands Mississippi Sweet Pill
are both on it, and thenAnxious from Connecticut, Maurice Stevenson from New
York and Oregony Angel from Baltimore. So it's all relatively you know, not
(01:47):
too far drive for anyone, andwith picked bands that could make it there,
make it possible, but just thingsthat we love and we thought that
our fans would love too. Yeah, so you're going to do the album
The Greatest Generation ten year anniversary,do it in its entirety. So this
is like a big ticket for people, and we have some news so it's
like totally sold out. What happened? And we have to beat the bots?
(02:08):
Yeah, so we can't. Imean we can't believe that it's sold
out so fast. But one thingto be our doing, just because we
want to make sure that everyone thatcomes is where. Everyone that got a
ticket is a fan of the band, everyone wants to be there, and
everyone that wants to be there kenSo we're running an audit right now with
the venue to make sure that nobots got any tickets. So, yes,
it is totally sold out, butkeep an eye on it for the
(02:30):
next week or so because if wego through an audit to sales and say,
oh, this one is obviously likea scalper bot, Yeah, then
we're going to cancel those put thoseback on sales. So there might be
you know, a dozen here,a dozen there that come back available to
the public. But also I thinkthe y'all are giving away tickets right,
yes, yes, yes, yes, So I guess those are your two
(02:51):
options if you want to go tothe show still is stay tuned to one
or four five to pick up ticketsfrom the contest, or stay tuned to
our socials. And if we findany tickets, they were bought improperly or
nefariously, and we're gonna get thoseback on sale so that fans can be
there. You have the best vocabulary. By the way, who how do
they do this on it? Like, how are they able to tell if
(03:13):
it's a bot? What's the howdo they do that? You know,
I don't know. What I doknow is it must be kind of labor
intensive because they told us yesterday, hey, the thing is sold out,
and we're like okay, and thenwe're gonna check for bots. And we
figured like, all right, wellwe'll hear back in like fifteen minutes.
Yeah, and they're like, no, no, we're gonna check for bots
over the next several days. Sothey must do some research and really put
some work in. And it's abovemy pay grade for sure. Yeah.
(03:38):
All right, well listen, man, I'm glad you guys are doing it.
And it's pretty amazing how quickly it'ssold out. This is an all
day thing outdoors Franklin Music Hall,September ninth. And then stay tuned.
Of course, we're gonna have yourtickets today and tomorrow eleven thirty, but
stay tuned on the Wonder Year, social pages and all of that kind of
(03:58):
stuff. You guys will be anow sing in the next few days and
next week if more tickets and whenmore tickets will be available. Yeah,
anything that comes up where we geta little burst of tickets available, we're
just going to post right away andjust be quick with it. Would be
my only advice to everybody, becauseyeah, we put this thing on sale
last Friday, so we're under aweek to sell out, which is again
totally crazy and just all the lovein the world the Philly for supporting us
(04:21):
like that. Yeah, it's amazing. The love is real for the wonder
years. All right, Dan,I know you got things to do,
and I thank you so much formaking the time to call in and yeah,
man, keep us updated on everything. Again. This sold out so
quickly and people are absolutely thrilled andso excited for this. So thank you
again, mister Dan Campbell. Iappreciate you. Jesse, you have a
(04:44):
good one. You too,
