Monday morning in the nation's capital,Toby and Chilly in the morning. It's
ninety seven point one wash FM.Chilli's somewhere off the East coast on a
cruise for her vacation. Katie Harrisplaying the part of Chili Omar today.
Why are you feeling good this earlymorning as we get our little excursions started.

(00:22):
I am feeling good because I knowthis sounds really crazy, but I
am just happy to be in thestudio with you, with Taylor. It's
just it's like a vacation when Isee you guys. Oh please, vacation
getting up this early? That's nota vacation. Can I tell you why
I'm feeling good this morning? Good? I slept in a little bit.
I actually slept in a lot todayjust because you know what I mean.

(00:43):
Like the world is either in holidaymode or shifting into holiday mode with the
fourth of July, and there's somethingto be said about sleep, right,
and we don't get enough of it. I'm convinced we don't get enough of
it. So I took the timeto sleep in. Has nothing to do
with the fact that my significant othermight have been over and that I won't
see her for three weeks. ButI will say that sleeping in today was

(01:04):
glorious on a Monday for us,considering we get up as early as we
do, and that's why I'm feelinggood this early morning as we get our
excursions started. There KT Harris eightsixty six ninety two seven forty three sixty
one. That's eight sixty six washFM. The number one talkback microphone wide
open for you too if you wantto jump in and tell us why you

(01:25):
are feeling good this early morning, doesn't matter where you are. Could be
sixty six, could be two seventy. Maybe you're on a road trip,
or maybe you just pulled into arest stop to get some rest after driving
all night. We would love tohear from you this morning. It is
ninety seven point one wash FM.Toby and Chilly in the morning, KT.
Can I tell you I had arevelation over the weekend? Please do

(01:46):
tell I am over zoom meetings, video calls done, done, dne done.
I'll explain why this weekend was sucha revelation. Maybe you can relate
coming up as Toby and Tilly inthe Morning continues. Maybe you can relate.
If so, The phone wide openeight six six nine, set three

FM. Yeah. I am absolutelyover it after this weekend? Over what
zoom meetings that last all weekend long? Let me explain, Katie. I
had to be on a national convention, a virtual national convention, all day

(02:31):
Saturday, all day Sunday. Now, don't get it twisted. I enjoy
the work, but having to siton a camera for hours on end without
being able to turn the camera offso you can prove that you're there,
that to me was a pain andthe posterior you for hours upon hours.

(02:53):
Can I you have to be oncamera the whole time? Yes? Me,
Me had to focus and be oncamera the entire time. Day two
hit yesterday. I was officially done. Done with the idea of zoom meetings,
done with the idea of virtual conferences. Thirty minutes is fine, maybe
an hour that's okay. All weekend? No, we done jump the shark

(03:15):
on these Zoom conventions. And Zoomvirtual things. I would have found a
way to get a cardboard cutout ofmyself and just stick it in front of
the camera. I wish that Icould have. I tried things I even
thought about, like creating a picturelike with an animated gift of me just
moving in circles, or yeah,I just couldn't bring myself to do it.

(03:37):
It was just, oh, neveragain. If I don't have to
get on a Zoom meeting or avideo meeting again for the next year,
it'll be too soon. So nobathroom breaks, Nope, no breaks to
eat. No people were eating oncamera that annoyed other people who weren't eating
on camera. And then there werepeople taking the meeting in their car and
yeah, their camera was on too. It was just a nightmare, a

(03:59):
nightmare. I could never do that. You would see you would see me
like in my pajamas drink and why, no way I can derive that.
Well. Fortunately, I'm looking atthe calendar and I think we get a
bit of a reprieve this week fromany of these Zoom meetings and video meetings
and conferences, because God knows,I'm gonna need like at least a week
to recover from this weekend of nothingbut sitting on a camera. Now,

(04:23):
I can't get that song out ofmy mind. Who's Zoom Mendu. We're
Toby at Chilly in the Morning. It's ninety seven point one wash FM.

you just had a lot of stuffthat's got your feeling some sort of way
on a Monday. In minutes,we'll do something about your mindset, your

to take a quick moment get ourweek started off right with We're of positivity.
There comes your morning mindset from LisaHayes today. What you tell yourself
every day will either build you upor break you down. Choose wisely.

(05:12):
Think about that, what you tellyourself every day will either build you up
or break you down. Choose wisely. What is your inner voice saying to
you today. Is it saying somethingthat's going to build you up, that's
going to cause you to be better, or is it that inner voice which
sometimes is a pessimist that says youcan't, that gets overwhelmed by anxiety that

(05:34):
leads to doubt. Think about whereyour inner voice is today. Adjust it
if you need to, and keepthat in mind. If you need to
read it again, maybe you wantto see it, share it with somebody.
You'll find it Toby and chillipage washfmdot com. It's also on Facebook,

that it is and why Katie andfor Chilium, I will start for you.
Do you have one of these movies? I do well. I it
was a toss up between Airplane,Police Academy and Manniquin, But for me
it was Mannaquin Andrew McCarthy, KimKatrol Andrew in love with an inanimate object,
a mannequin, and I love themovie. And now it's just like,
ooh, yeah, that might nothave aged very well. No,

(17:51):
some dude driving around with a mannequinthat he's got a crush on very odd
might need some therapy for that TaylorShay movie for you. Well, I
don't know if you I need therapyfor this one. But eight Mile with
EM and M. I love thatmovie. And every time I tell somebody
that, I always get a weirdreaction like ooh, producer Taylor Shaye,
Why would eight Mile get some sortof weird reaction. That's kind of an

(18:14):
inspirational movie. I agree. Itotally agree too, because that just inspires
me. Now I want to gohome and watch it. No, you
want to have a rap battle Katexactly me and Youlica. Yeah, that's
nothing like this movie American Beauty, that I find to be very cringey.
Used to love it, thought itwas very artistic back in the day.
Kevin Spacey has a crush on amuch younger in high school neighbor. Yeah,

(18:34):

(19:17):
and now it's time for a storythat we think might just make your
Monday. Toby and Tilly in themorning. It's ninety seven point one wash
FM, and this story comes tous from Maryland this morning. Kat Harris,
there is an organization that is makingmedical equipment completely free for people in
need. Now, whether you haveinsurance or not, we all realize that

(19:37):
when it comes to certain things, whether it's crutches or wheelchairs or hospital bed,
those things are pretty expensive. Andthis is an organization that accepts donations,
sanitizes them and gets them ready, and it makes it available for people
that really need these items. Andboth you know and I know, when
it comes to stuff like this,it gets really expensive. You have fully

(20:00):
electric home health care bids, youcan be insured uninsured. The only real
requirement is that you would have tobe a Maryland resident and it's really easy
to get the equipment that you need. All you have to do is fill
out a form online and if it'slike really complex kind of medical equipment,
you will need to get a healthcareprovider to sign off on it. This

(20:22):
can, as you said, katbe a life changing thing for people,
especially when you consider the cost ofsome of this healthcare equipment these days.
And if you happen to have anyequipment yourself that you'd like to donate,
they do have donation centers in Montgomeryas well as Prince George's County. That's
the Maryland Durable Medical Equipment Reuse Program. And to everybody involved with this program,

(20:45):
thank you for a story that helpsso many people, that takes medical
equipment and puts it back to workfor others just like you. It really
is a story that makes our Monday. And if you want to read more,
you can Toby and Chilli page atWASHFM. And if you've got a
story that we need to share thatmakes sure Monday, tell us all about
it. We could feature it righthere in this space next Monday with ninety

watching it, I was just like, oh my god, it's just like
so corny and just unrealistic, andI don't know, I couldn't get through

take one, but like pretty intinct, Like you know, I feel like

(24:53):
her grandmother assaults her, you know, in the very first part of the
movie, and there's just so muchwrong with it. It's just awful.
Becky and Springfield, thank you forjumping into the conversation pretty in Pink.
John Hughes movies, Katie Harrison forChillia mar Thoughts. I grew up on
John Hughes movies. I love themall, even though when I think back
