Speaker 1 (00:04):
Good Morning Football is the production of the NFL in
partnership with iHeartRadio.

Speaker 2 (00:22):
Good Morning Football.

Speaker 3 (00:24):
Well, welcome to Good Morning Football, drought to me by
our friends at Old Trapper Beef Jerkey. We are live
coast to coast, even a stop in the Midwest on
this Friday, November one.

Speaker 4 (00:35):
Already.

Speaker 3 (00:35):
My name is Sherry Buris, alongside Akwar Baja, Vivamilla Mantaito.
Here at the table that is Kyle Brand in New
York City. As I said, we have a stop from an.

Speaker 4 (00:44):
Friend, Jamie Rdal there in Minnesota.

Speaker 3 (00:47):
But looking at that game last night, you think back
to this week, guys, remember when Aaron Rodgers said you
have to make peace with the darkness.

Speaker 4 (00:55):
Well, they went into halftime, maybe.

Speaker 3 (00:56):
They didn't turn the lights on, and it was like
a whole nother game in the second half.

Speaker 4 (01:00):
Yeah, the front of the New York Post had ended
like beckha. Maybe that was a turning point for the Jets.

Speaker 3 (01:05):
We welcome in now are insider Ian Rappaport were last
night Ian watching that game. Injuries clearly a big part
of it, guys missing, But as we saw yesterday just
looking at it, even Texans pass rusher Will Anderson he
heard that ankle last night. A couple of injuries you've
been watching this morning. What's the latest at least on
his STATUSY, you can get us started.

Speaker 5 (01:24):
Yeah, and end of the stream of injuries it seemed
last night, I would say most of them considered to
be short term type injuries. A lot of players left
and came back. Will Anderson suffered an ankle injury pretty early.

Speaker 2 (01:34):
On in the game.

Speaker 5 (01:35):
The same with Anderson, who has been basically dominating this
year seven and a half sacks, thirty nine quarterback pressure
is one of the best edge players in football. When
download that ankle injury was listed as questionable at a
round halftime, did not return. You could see the obvious
pain that he was in. Did a little extra time
before the Sunday night football game. When they play next,
we will see if he is able to go. Obviously,

(01:56):
test today will determine the severity of that injury. And
he has been battling an ankle injury of various sorts
really for more than a year now. Meanwhile, when we
are watching from not involved in this game, Huko Nakua,
who missed most of this season a PCL strain in
his knee, actually suffered a knee injury at practice yesterday,

(02:17):
same knee which I think for a couple hours was
pretty alarming and pretty concerning my understanding, though not considered
to be a major injury, more of a scare than
anything else. TBD on a status for Sunday, but nothing
long term for Puka, which is excellent, excellent news. And
then one we are watching and have been watching for
the last several days for Sunday. Jordan Love, the Packers

(02:39):
starting quarterback, left last week's came with a groin strain,
which is why Malik Willis came in once again and
to quitted himself quite well. The fact that Jordan Love
was at practice yesterday seen in some videos with elaborate
handshake situations going on with several teammates.

Speaker 2 (02:53):
The vibes looked really good at practice.

Speaker 5 (02:55):
Maybe that's another reason for some optimism there. Expect him
to practice today.

Speaker 6 (03:01):
If he doesn't, obviously that would be bad.

Speaker 7 (03:02):
But if you.

Speaker 5 (03:02):
Practices today at least, as he says, he has a
more than realistic chance to be out there in a huge.

Speaker 4 (03:08):
Game and that would mean a lot.

Speaker 3 (03:10):
Yeah, and we appreciate your time there, and that is
a perfect setup for round two of mad minute here
on a Friday, but sixty seconds back on the clock
and we're going to start.

Speaker 4 (03:20):
As I said, right there where Ian ted us up perfectly.

Speaker 3 (03:23):
A clash between two NFC North powerhouses. Dan Campbell in
the lines heading to Green Bay To's take on the Packers.
The winner of this game will be in first place
in the NFC North entering week ten. Kyle, who do
you see being on top of the standings after this matchup?

Speaker 8 (03:40):
Someone has to at least force Jared Goff to throw
a couple in completions, not interceptions, incompletions. I talked to
Jared Goff this week for the network. It's going to
air on Sunday. He hates hearing the word perfect. He's like,
I'm not even close to perfect. I got to do
all these other types of things, and I'm like, when
you're going up to the line and you're like a
Monro hasn't had a catch, it's the first quarter, or
Laporta has too many today.

Speaker 7 (04:00):
I got to get to this guy.

Speaker 8 (04:01):
He goes, the team is not like that. I promise you,
no one cares. We just go out there, we ball,
we win. Green Bay is a very good team. Jared
Goff is playing way too well right now for me
to pick the Packers.

Speaker 7 (04:10):
I think the Lions going to lamb and win.

Speaker 9 (04:11):
Well, this is going to be interesting territory for Jered
Golf because this is going to be the first time
this season that he's played outside of a dome. So
how is he going to handle the elements? How's he
going to be in that situation, especially when they say
the temperature is going to be it's going to be
raining down there.

Speaker 7 (04:25):
Let's see how he does with that adversity.

Speaker 10 (04:27):
Well, you know, you talk about the elements, to see
how he does with the Xavier McKenny back there. He
leads the league with six interceptions. He got his six
last week against the Jacksonville Jaguars.

Speaker 7 (04:36):
So it's going to be a good game.

Speaker 10 (04:37):
So that Jared Goff Xavier McKinney exchange. I'm excited to
see how that thing goes down.

Speaker 4 (04:42):
Just checking Akbar if you're curious.

Speaker 3 (04:44):
The weather forecast Sunday in Green Bay is fifty degrees
and rain, So maybe.

Speaker 4 (04:50):
A lot of running, a lot of running that game.
Oh that's cold. Let's talk about the next one here.

Speaker 3 (04:54):
We have another divisional matchup between the Dolphins and Bills
Ochbar Can the Dolphins hold off Josh Hallen, who for
the most part this season has done a really good
job keeping the ball protected and not turning it over.

Speaker 9 (05:04):
Well, I think this is going to be tough because
we do know for since twenty seventeen, the Buffalo Bills
they've dominated at home against the Miami Dolphins. But the
Miami Dolphins look like they're back. Tyreek Hill now starting
to get back into it because they got their quarterback back,
they got Tua back. I want to see that connection
between Tua and Tyreek get back to that high performance ofphense.
Then they might have a chance to beat the Buffalo Bills.

Speaker 10 (05:27):
Yeah, they might have a chance. And we all saw
what happened the first time these two teams met. It
was a nightmare for the Miami Dolphins and we saw
Tool go downs. But for me, if there's anybody that's
more excited to have too back as Mike McDaniel's seeing
all of the little flicks and no look passes from Tua.
So it's going to be electric. I hope that it's
a great game. But we saw how the first game
had happened.

Speaker 8 (05:47):
We know Tom Brady is an owner of the Raiders.
Josh Allen is an owner of the Dolphins. It's not
a matter of opinion. That's not me editorializing, guys, That's
just the facts.

Speaker 7 (05:56):
The Dolphins fans know it.

Speaker 8 (05:58):
It would be refreshing and different and something new to
talk about for the Dolphins to go to Buffalo and
beat the Bills and beat Josh Allen. They just almost
never do and I don't think they will this week either.

Speaker 3 (06:08):
Next up, we had to what I can call the
Kyle Brandt Bowl. We have the Bears taking on Arizona.

Speaker 4 (06:13):
Remember the pound puppy he.

Speaker 3 (06:14):
Lets The Cardinals are his team in addition to Chicago.
But they are coming off that incredible heartbreak of that
hil Mary against Washington. Maybe Iberflus is losing the locker
room a little bit. It sounds like Mantai from some
of the comments the players made. But who do you
give the edge? Do you think the Bears can come
back or the Cardinals going to take advantage of maybe

(06:35):
an emotional Chicago team.

Speaker 10 (06:37):
Well, you know, the Bears have a lot of talent
on that side of the ball and on that team. However,
I like the Cardinals in in this game because that
team for two weeks straight has found a way to
win in very close games. It takes a lot of
grit to win in the way that they won against
La Chargers and last week against the Dolphins. It's going

(06:57):
to be a good game, But I got the Cardinals.

Speaker 8 (06:59):
You know, two players, or rather two people on the
Bears who weren't very well known a week ago household
names this week. One of them was Tyreek Stevenson and
one of them was Matt Ebraflus. Both of them need
to have huge gamest Ebraflus, by far, I think this
is the biggest game of his career. I think he
needs to answer a ton of questions. The team has
to be disciplined, organized, focused, none of which they were

(07:19):
at the end of the game.

Speaker 7 (07:20):
Lest this is actually a really big game.

Speaker 8 (07:21):
Sure they lose, they go to four and four, they're
losing a lot more than just one game.

Speaker 7 (07:25):
If they fall again after that debacle in Washington.

Speaker 9 (07:28):
Yeah, this is it's going to be pretty interesting for Chicago,
especially because they're losing.

Speaker 7 (07:32):
On the road.

Speaker 9 (07:32):
They're all and three on the road this season, and
you talk about the hot streak that they're on. For
the Arizona Cardinals, winning two straight Chicago, they made a
mount up.

Speaker 3 (07:40):
Yeah, the Cardinals haven't won three straight since two thousand
and one. But we are going to look at our
last one here. NFC West wide open. The standings, top
three teams all four and four, but the Rams three
and four as they take on the Seahawks this weekend.

Speaker 4 (07:54):
Kylos, we said it.

Speaker 3 (07:55):
It is a tight race in the NFC West. Who
do you see in this matchup trying to get a
leg up at least I know?

Speaker 8 (08:01):
Don't let the Rams get hot. Don't do it, guys,
do not let the Rams got it. Don't let Matt
Stafford get a hot hand or Sean McVay. I love
now we've been hearing about Pooka all morning. We're seeing
all this video of him running around again. They didn't
trade Cooper Cup. They weren't gonna trade Cooper Cup. I
don't care what anybody said. I liked actually the Rams
in this game. I know Seattle's tough at home, at
least I thought they were. I mean, Buffalo beat him

(08:21):
by about fifty last week at home. I actually think
the Rams are going to reintroduce themselves to the conversation now.

Speaker 9 (08:27):
I like la here just let me reintroduce myself. My
name is Yeah Pookaula. I'm about to go somewhere else.
Cooper Cup. They're back. I saved myself. I didn't get canceled.
But that offense is hot right now because they've got
the dogs back at the wide receiver position and then
the Seattle Seahawks defense. They're giving up thirty point four

(08:50):
points per game. That is not acceptable against this offense.

Speaker 10 (08:54):
Now, yeah, I got the rams too, and my big
thing is against Ryan Grubbed, offensive coordinator for the Seattle Seahawks. Listen,
the quarterback shotgun run game does not work in the
NFL when you don't have a QB that poses a
run through.

Speaker 7 (09:07):
Right, Ryan grew up, throw that out. I know this
is your first year in the NFL.

Speaker 4 (09:11):
Sorry, busy busts, stop running. Stop running that tell us
Montai don't worry.

Speaker 3 (09:19):
But also to remember the Nakua did leave practice on
Thursday early. He did miss those five games with a
knee ailmen, So something to watch, as Kyle says, never
count out the rams. That is a mad Minute, Part
two on your Friday and coming up here. NFL analyst
Nate Tice joining us here on GMFB previewing the Broncos
Ravens Week nine matchup. Ken Lamar and Company rebound Why

(09:41):
lost to the Rounds.

Speaker 8 (09:42):
Kyle Bus Viking safety cam buying them joined GMFB. Is
this the biggest game of the week, Vikings Lions, it
feels like it. We got boots on the ground or
stiletto's on the ground or ugs on the ground. Whatever
Jamie's wearing, because she's there, She's going to be part
of the game. Vikings Lions talk right after this, plus
breaking out every single game your team team, Hey, you

(10:04):
know how we do it. JMFB on a Friday, Good
Morning Football.

Speaker 11 (10:20):
Welcome back to Good Morning Football. I'm omar Res and
the Jets defense stepping up big time in that win
against the Texans last night, sacking CJ. Stroud eight times,
or Judy Batista catching up with the joker Quincy Williams
after the game.

Speaker 4 (10:35):
Well, Quincy, you arrived here as the joker tonight.

Speaker 3 (10:38):
This game was no choke though this was basically a
must win in Week nine.

Speaker 4 (10:42):
How you feeling right now?

Speaker 2 (10:43):
Hey?

Speaker 12 (10:43):
Like I said, there's gonna be a battle, good two
good teams going head to head.

Speaker 13 (10:46):
It's gonna be little details I mean all details, but
most of the live details go who execute.

Speaker 7 (10:52):
Better and we execute better? Always gonna be a close
game though.

Speaker 4 (10:54):
All right, you got the Cardinals and the Colts coming
up before you got the buye. Is this team still
in the mix?

Speaker 14 (11:01):
Yeah?

Speaker 10 (11:01):
The biggest thing is getting getting these couple.

Speaker 12 (11:04):
Today's getting out bodies together like a short week by
getting out bodies ready to get.

Speaker 7 (11:08):
Ready to go.

Speaker 11 (11:08):
Want to know Vikings with a big showdown against the
Colts on Sunday night. Let's head back out to Minnesota,
where Jamie is now joined by Viking safety cam buying them.

Speaker 13 (11:18):
I have been enjoying my time in Minnesota. It's been
five minutes since I've been back, and everything is coming
up Vikings for me. I found this jacket in the
green room, which I promptly put on instead of my
own attire, and now we are joined by a Minnesota
Viking cambine them on GMFB morning Cam.

Speaker 4 (11:35):
Good morning to you.

Speaker 14 (11:36):
I'm doing well, good, good, good you doing.

Speaker 4 (11:38):
I'm wonderful.

Speaker 13 (11:39):
I'm all jacked up on Mountain Dew because I was
invited to sound the dollar horn this weekend?

Speaker 7 (11:44):
Did you know that?

Speaker 4 (11:44):
That's why I'm.

Speaker 14 (11:45):
Here at big time I didn't know that exactly, but
that's big time.

Speaker 13 (11:48):
So as a player, do you have any awareness for
the clapping and the horn at all or are you?

Speaker 7 (11:54):
Guys?

Speaker 4 (11:55):
Oh you are.

Speaker 14 (11:55):
That's something we look at and Kazar is interesting. Who's
doing it every single week? Over last year Kirk did it, yes, randomly.
We didn't even know when he was doing it, and
he came out there no share it on with chains on,
so it was funny. So now that's something I'm always
aware of. Okay, after the chant and we look up
and see, Okay, who's up there, Well, it's going to.

Speaker 13 (12:13):
Be me, which I grew up five minutes from the
old facility. Just so you understand the reason why you're
not just like, that's that random girl from.

Speaker 7 (12:19):
The MFB up there.

Speaker 13 (12:20):
That's not why I have a total love affair and
attachment to this team and this organization, which is why
I'm so thrilled to just.

Speaker 7 (12:26):
See you guys and have you on the show.

Speaker 4 (12:28):
Of course, how's everything going.

Speaker 7 (12:30):
Everything's good.

Speaker 14 (12:31):
Yeah, Season's been kind of different with our schedule lately
with the bye week than a Thursday game or regular
Sunday game, then straight to a Thursday game.

Speaker 7 (12:39):
Then you get the mini by Yep.

Speaker 14 (12:41):
Now we're back on track and we're ready to go
play some more football.

Speaker 13 (12:44):
You know, Kevin O'Connell told us before your London game
that in the summer, this team came together in a
really organic way.

Speaker 4 (12:50):
Do you guys feel like you have to rely on.

Speaker 13 (12:52):
That again a little bit maybe, just to get things
back on track and playing the way you want to.

Speaker 6 (12:56):
Yeah.

Speaker 14 (12:56):
I think this is the time where we really have
to look back and really think about, Okay, this is
what made us good, the fact that.

Speaker 7 (13:03):
We're all like brothers.

Speaker 14 (13:04):
As corny as it may sound sometimes, but that's really
what you have to lean on, is how close you
are as a team, especially in times like this where
we've won five straight then lost two straight and we
had a little little time off to reflect. Now we
have to get back to be who we are playing together,
having that collective joy when we're out on that field,
and that really leads to us making plays and us

(13:25):
playing well well.

Speaker 13 (13:26):
Sometimes brothers fight in this defense, you guys are physical,
you fight, you battle with each other. It's been so
impressive to watch this team. What's your favorite part about
playing on this Brian Flora's defense.

Speaker 14 (13:36):
I think just the excitement that we have when we
play well, and how much we're not shaken if we
aren't playing well. So just the fact that we're just
even killed the whole time. Everybody's eager to make plays,
everybody wants to play together, and just the fun that
we have out there. The fact that we're able to
have a lot of freedom in the defense. Coach flow
gives us the freedom to really govern ourselves within the

(13:59):
scheme and it helps us to play even faster.

Speaker 13 (14:01):
So Anthony Richardson is a certain type of quarterback Joe
Flapp very different. When you hear of a quarterback change
like this, how does your defensive week change.

Speaker 14 (14:09):
Really just knowing you're locked in because there's less film
on both quarterbacks obviously, Okay, yep, Flacco's played Richardson has
played some also with them announcing that Flacco is a starter, right,
we have to really go back and look at those games,
but really study the coordinator more than anything, what he
likes to do when certain quarterbacks are in the game.
So it's kind of a fun little game that we
have to play of knowing, okay, this is the type

(14:33):
of offense they run with one quarterback and versus the other.
So it's a little more studying, but it's fun to
be able to try and figure those things out.

Speaker 13 (14:40):
In baseball, if guy's hitting a home run every other game,
they're like, man, he must be seeing the ball like
a grape fruit, Like it's just easy to hit and
he can hit it really far. When you guys have interceptions,
you leave the league and picks. Do you see that
ball sometimes coming to the air like it looks so catchable.
Does the mindset change when the interceptions start flowing like that?

Speaker 14 (14:56):
I think so, And it's almost it almost becomes an expectation.
It's disappointing if we come out of a game, especially
for me personally, if I come out of a game
without a turnover, it's kind of frustrating, and obviously you
can't get one every single game. But that's the standard
that we've set, especially on this defense the way we started,
and that's the standard that we.

Speaker 7 (15:15):
Were going to keep all year.

Speaker 14 (15:17):
Making sure we force turnovers, whether it's interceptions like you mentioned,
force fumbles, any type of way we can get the ball.
That's really our standard at this point. In every single game,
that's something that we go into it expecting it to
happen and being ready for when it does happen.

Speaker 13 (15:31):
One thing that's been really fun about this team not
only is the defensive prowess and the intensity, but also
to your point, the fact that everyone's just really bought
in and committed. Now you and Josh Mattellis took your
commitment to a different level in London with this handshake
from the parent trap. Do you have any more preparations
at hand for celebrations defensively or do you feel like,

(15:52):
hopefully not you peaked.

Speaker 14 (15:54):
No, for sure, haven't peaked. That's something I've like. We
really take these celebrations series.

Speaker 7 (15:58):
We put that in our.

Speaker 14 (16:00):
Saturday You're meeting to exactly knowing and expecting success. So
you have to be prepared to have fun because especially
on defense, for offensive people they have touchdowns every game,
it's easy for them to get celebrations off. For defense,
it's a lot more rare that you get interceptions or turnovers.
So we every time it happens, we know we have

(16:20):
to come ready with you.

Speaker 13 (16:21):
Guys always go movies or is it like something trendy
or how does it?

Speaker 7 (16:24):
It's a little bit of everything.

Speaker 14 (16:25):
Okay, you have to understand okay with if you want
it to be viral, you have to know it's it's relevant,
like the para trap ding that's our generation totally. We're
in London, so there's certain things like that you have
to think about.

Speaker 4 (16:38):
We try the parent trap thing. Okay.

Speaker 13 (16:40):
So also let me just do a humble pit. So
I dressed up from bring it on yesterday for all.
Gabrielle Union commented on our reel that I did for
that's what I need, and Lindsay Lowan commented on ours,
so I got.

Speaker 14 (16:53):
Okay, seek you just got a pick six right, okay,
cut the ball.

Speaker 4 (16:58):
Branch celebrating you did it?

Speaker 15 (17:00):
Okay.

Speaker 13 (17:01):
Oh oh it's opposite.

Speaker 15 (17:04):
Here switchedep shake everybody, good job, thank you for having me.

Speaker 6 (17:15):
We did that.

Speaker 8 (17:18):
I'm glad you got that. Yeah, yeah, you looking at
me all right, Good morning football.

Speaker 7 (17:23):
We have a lot of guests.

Speaker 8 (17:24):
We love them all, but some of them are just
a little bit special or a lot joining us.

Speaker 2 (17:30):
Now.

Speaker 7 (17:30):
He's a Falcons fan, he is a rapper, he's a father,
he's an og. You've probably been on the dance floor
of his music.

Speaker 8 (17:37):
You've probably had a great party to his music, done
unmentionables to his music.

Speaker 7 (17:40):
We love his music, Big Boy joins us this morning.
What's up, big boy? How are you doing?

Speaker 6 (17:46):
Oh? Man, we're doing good man? How you doing?

Speaker 7 (17:48):
Dude?

Speaker 8 (17:48):
You look great. We're all so excited to see you.
I don't even need to hesitate right now. You got
the hat on, You've got a first place team in
the NFC South, big boy, with all the things.

Speaker 7 (17:58):
You got going on. How you feeling about your twenty
twenty four Falcons?

Speaker 12 (18:01):
And it feels great? Man, I mean the city is
on fire right now. Man, I mean proud of the boys.
And they locked in.

Speaker 2 (18:08):
Yeah they are, Yeah, they are locked in.

Speaker 9 (18:10):
And a big part of the Falcons success this year
has to be a new quarterback, Kirk Cousins. I mean,
what has it been like watching him on the field,
the fans and how they're reacting to him, And how
do you think he's acclimating to Atlanta because he seems
to have that a town swag.

Speaker 6 (18:26):
Yeah. I mean, like you said, man, you just walked
in the trap and took over the trap. You know
what I'm saying?

Speaker 12 (18:30):
Like that, he's boys, man, He's accurate. He's a I
think the first and foremost what I see. He's a
team leader, man, and he getting the boys pumped up.

Speaker 10 (18:41):
Yeah, speaking of Kirk Boy, I'm sure you saw this already,
but for any of yours that haven't, he led the
team out of the tunnel last week with a little
wrap up his own list.

Speaker 7 (18:49):
Take a listen.

Speaker 10 (19:10):
Yes that's co now, big boy from a legend like you.
Do you have any advice for him? What kind of
advice do you have for him?

Speaker 6 (19:18):
Don't go to Majes City till Monday after.

Speaker 12 (19:22):
WHOA, WHOA.

Speaker 6 (19:28):
Nice for you?

Speaker 7 (19:30):
Are you gonna sign them to your label?

Speaker 9 (19:31):
You think you might do it, like maybe on one
or two day contract with him on your label.

Speaker 4 (19:34):
One or two day contracts on.

Speaker 6 (19:36):
Me right down a steep street from says bands.

Speaker 3 (19:39):
Yo, ten day contract for Kirk big Way. It's so
great to see you. I myself have lived in Atlanta
for a hot minute, and I wore my Falcon sweatshirt
just for you today. I've gone to Mary Max tea Room, Varsity,
a couple of new spots, but I know for you
you've partnered with former Falcons quarterback Michael Vick on many
community events. Atlanta is a very unique and special place.

(20:03):
How is your friendship with vic also been very meaningful
to you.

Speaker 6 (20:07):
He's just been cool from the start.

Speaker 12 (20:08):
Man, always been the same guy, and he's about community
and he's about taking care of the kids like me,
you know what I mean. So whenever we get a
chance to give back, we team up and we do
something explosive.

Speaker 6 (20:19):
Man. I mean, he's one of my favorite people.

Speaker 8 (20:21):
And I know there's so much history there and it's
a golden era of Falcons football and they're playing some
really good football now too, big boy, But we got
to talk about this.

Speaker 7 (20:30):
If you're wearing it, we got it. You've collaborated with
the Falcon this week.

Speaker 8 (20:34):
Hell yeah, we want to hear about this partnership because, honestly,
big Boy, it is so fresh and so clean talk about.

Speaker 12 (20:43):
Hey man, it's just you know, we've been you know,
supporters of the franchise since we started, and they always
supported us, and we just thought it would be something cool.
We ourcast merchandise is you know, the merchant is being
renewed and we bring it back the old with the
wing and we thought we better way to do it
than bring it back with the Falcon wings.

Speaker 6 (21:02):
Man. So it's gonna be a lot more to come
go Olcast dot com.

Speaker 9 (21:05):
I mean, it's on fire, all right, man, I want
to get a little personal with you, big boy man.
Your son Cross Patten. He's now playing at the HBCU,
but Thune Cookman down there in Florida, and.

Speaker 2 (21:15):
You don't you don't miss any games.

Speaker 7 (21:16):
And I know with.

Speaker 9 (21:17):
Your busy schedule, obviously that's got to be challenging. But
with what is that like being a dad in the
stands watching your son now playing football.

Speaker 6 (21:26):
It's been there's been a long journey man.

Speaker 12 (21:28):
He started out, he was went to Oregon, played at
Oregon for a couple of years. When two Pac twelve
championships in the Rose Bowl, he played with Justin Herbert
k Roon Thibadeau. Then he went to Nevada and then
he played at Nevada and then he got his masters,
I mean got his degree. And now he's getting his
masters down there with Throm Cookman. A matter of fact,
I'm leaving to go out there tomorrow. They're playing on Grambling.

(21:49):
Hopefully we'll get this w Man and the single Knights
that we'll be on.

Speaker 6 (21:52):
The field with it.

Speaker 7 (21:53):
I love it.

Speaker 10 (21:53):
I love it, you know.

Speaker 7 (21:54):
Here here at JMFB, we love music, we love football,
we love food.

Speaker 10 (21:59):
I know you'd like to go all out for your
game days when it comes to cooking. What's your perfect
tailgate spread while you watch the game on Sunday.

Speaker 6 (22:05):
We used to do like a real lobster tail cram
leg burgers. You know.

Speaker 12 (22:13):
We always have the guys over and we just you know,
try to make it an event like every Sunday. But
this Sunday is going to be out cast day at
the Falcons game. So we're going out there to beat
the Cowboys.

Speaker 9 (22:23):
Oh man, I might need a tutorious.

Speaker 4 (22:25):
Can we come over?

Speaker 10 (22:27):
Oh my crab legs at my house.

Speaker 3 (22:30):
It's early, but that makes me hungry. You always always
eat well in Atlanta. That's something I've definitely learned.

Speaker 4 (22:37):
I do again. Want to follow up on the family
front here.

Speaker 3 (22:39):
Congratulations also to you for being a grandfather talking about
getting to watch your son play football. But I'm expecting
my second and my parents have just been like over
the moon sending everything already for you. What is it
like getting to watch your grandson grow up?

Speaker 6 (22:56):
It's amazing, man.

Speaker 12 (22:57):
You know, I'm always you know, wanted to be young,
healthy with a strong back.

Speaker 6 (23:00):
So I could Chase. I really would expected. But he's
been on the road with me. Man, he's a young
Jedi training.

Speaker 7 (23:08):
Man.

Speaker 12 (23:09):
I bring him on stage and the people go crazy.
Man shout out to units aka Cheesecake. Yeah yeah, man,
just just making it happen man.

Speaker 6 (23:16):
Next.

Speaker 8 (23:18):
All right, so let's get right to the crux of
what you're all about, big boy. If if Cheesecake could
be one day a multi platinum rapper or a Falcons quarterback,
which would be better quarterback?

Speaker 6 (23:31):
Why? Yeah? Right now? With just rapping with the streaming, No, that's.

Speaker 9 (23:37):
Not Wow, it's bad out there on the streets like that, huh.

Speaker 6 (23:40):
I mean just with with the streaming.

Speaker 12 (23:42):
I mean, you know, we came up, you know, physical copies, CDs,
tapes and all that, But with just streaming, like a
billion streams, you make like one hundred thousand dollars. I
don't like that race yet. Yeah, gon't get that two
hundred me out of quarterback contract. Make sure you got right, Officeland.

Speaker 7 (23:59):
I hear you, dude, I hear you.

Speaker 8 (24:00):
Listen the stories of you in the early days, you
and Dre working as hard as you did and running
and doing the lyrics while you were running so you
could perform them on stage.

Speaker 7 (24:09):
They're legendary.

Speaker 8 (24:10):
What would you say, right now to a young person
who wants to be the next big boy, who wants
to be the next outcast, but is doing it in
this climate for music, what would you say to what's
your advice?

Speaker 6 (24:20):
Originality is key?

Speaker 7 (24:21):
Man?

Speaker 12 (24:21):
Just be yourself. There's so much cutting pace out there.
You got to break through. You got to be different.
Man's that's the whole mantra Outcast. We never wanted to
fit in on anything normal. So just do something new man.
And if you want to go, get it, go get it.

Speaker 6 (24:34):
You got to. You gotta just practice hard, man, and
just get it done.

Speaker 4 (24:37):
Special to be one of one. And I love how
you guys came up with the name outcast.

Speaker 3 (24:40):
When you hear though that your songs are still to
this say, I'm talking like the Originals, the throwbacks being
played as stadium anthems when.

Speaker 4 (24:47):
You guys are in the booth.

Speaker 3 (24:48):
Did you ever imagine that we would still be bumping
too some of these songs?

Speaker 4 (24:53):
And as this Outcast day on Sunday?

Speaker 3 (24:54):
Are we going to see you also propel from the
ceiling at Mercedes Rands?

Speaker 4 (24:59):
There? Are you afraid of heights?

Speaker 1 (25:00):
It all?

Speaker 12 (25:01):
I don't think my insurance don't come it in. You know,
it's just a blessing man, you know, to make timeless
classics and the music. You know, we started out in
nineteen ninety three and now here we are thirty years later.
It's still hot, relevant TV commercials, world tours and yeah, man,
God is great for sure.

Speaker 7 (25:19):
And so are you guys, and so are everything you do.

Speaker 8 (25:21):
You know what we love that you have big boy
going on is say we love jersey collections.

Speaker 7 (25:25):
It's NFL. It's what we do.

Speaker 8 (25:27):
You showed off your hangout where you have all your
jersey collections. It's an amazing top to bottom collection you've got.
You have one that's like either your favorite jersey or
maybe one that you're missing that you really want to
get your hands on.

Speaker 12 (25:39):
You know, it's crazy because they're all signed, right. I
need to get Tom Brady got. I just don't have
an autograph Tom Brady a bumping to him, but I
didn't have a jersey on And then I actually found
O Jay Simpson.

Speaker 6 (25:52):
It's not signed though, and I don't think I get
signed at this morning.

Speaker 7 (25:55):
Yeah, yeah, that's.

Speaker 6 (25:56):
Not but I'm gonna just put it up anywhere.

Speaker 9 (25:59):
Do you have a Deon Sanders? Deon Sanders Colorado, because
I mean, you know he's hot right now with you
got to coach Prime.

Speaker 12 (26:06):
No, I don't but them. He's supposed to be sending
me some shoes.

Speaker 6 (26:08):
But I do.

Speaker 12 (26:09):
You know what, a lot of people ask why I
don't have Michael Big. I do have a Michael Big.
I got a Michael Big mannequin with the jersey, the tights,
the shoes and everything. They just didn't see that that's.

Speaker 4 (26:20):
In the other man.

Speaker 9 (26:21):
That's that's a serious man cave trying to just be
all but that man cave like I need one like that.

Speaker 6 (26:30):
Keeping it play uplip.

Speaker 7 (26:33):
Listen. This is Big Boy. This is the gear. He
already plugged at outcast dot com. You can get it
through the NFL. This is all officially licensed gear. You
look great, dude. You never miss a beat. And of
course when it comes to.

Speaker 8 (26:45):
Your falcons down there in the NFC South, Look, the
South got something to say too. And you know that,
Big Boy, we love you, we love you, coming back,
Thank you so much.

Speaker 4 (26:53):
Appreciate your son again this weekend they've traveled.

Speaker 6 (26:58):
Man.

Speaker 4 (26:59):
Look keep that that is a set up.

Speaker 3 (27:01):
I want I want that for christ Troy and the
crab Legs on the grill, Calvin.

Speaker 2 (27:06):
Johnson cool, good mom football.

Speaker 3 (27:18):
Yes, the calendar says November first, so we saw fourteen
games ahead of US Week nine. So let's bring in
now our NFL analyst, Nate Tide, who has been hitting
the film room hard.

Speaker 4 (27:28):
Nata is always great to see you.

Speaker 3 (27:29):
You think there's an under the radar heavyweight matchup, I'm
looking at the slate here, where are you taking us
on Sunday?

Speaker 16 (27:37):
Yeah, a game that has a nine and a half
point spread the last time I checked. But really, this
is the statistical champ for the statistical champ. That's the
Ravens offense versus the Broncos defense. This is as good
on good as it gets any NERD number. You want
to look at yards per play success right, explosive play right,
this is number one versus number one.

Speaker 7 (27:57):
So I'm just very excited.

Speaker 16 (27:58):
I think in a game that looks like, oh, you
know this kind of lopside of a rookie quarterback, it'st
the Ravens defense a rope Kwon Smith. On the other side,
you got Lamar And what is this Broncos defense. This
is very very very good units going at it. They
haven't played the toughest schedule. So that's why I think
this is gonna be a really fun challenge for both units.
It's a cool matchup as far as personnels. If the

(28:19):
Ravens want to go Patrick Card, Derek Henry bully ball.
Broncos got some guys for it. They can get big
as well. They have their dbs, they have the corners
and Patrick's ertain and Riley Moss that can match these quick,
fast Ravens receivers that beat man coverage really well as
a Flowers or Shot Babeman and now Deontay Johnson. So
maybe I'm trying to really find what the angles are
gonna be because both teams have answers for each other.

(28:41):
So again stat wise, eye test wise, a really good
matchup on this side of the ball. The other side
maybe a little maybe some holes on each side, but
still this side the ball very very fun nate.

Speaker 8 (28:51):
Some teams win because they have great quarterbacks, and we
get it, that's why you win. But there are also
teams who have great quarterbacks who aren't really relying on
them to save them. And one of those is the Bills,
which has been their mo for It's just Josh Allen,
just go be Superman.

Speaker 7 (29:06):
But they're actually changing it up right now, and that's
what you're saying.

Speaker 16 (29:09):
Yes, absolutely, there's no longer the Josh Allen, go do
something funny, go go make us a play job. This
is complimentary football that the Bills are playing. They've had
good defenses, so they still have that this year. But
now we got a run game that's complimenting everything, just
even outside Josh Allen. First, I want to show you
the Deon Dawkins splits here on a zone run that
the Bills have been really leaning into the last few weeks. Now,

(29:32):
zone runs don't always mean go to the side that
you're going. There's a cutback lane on these plays, and
the offensive line does a great job, and because of
the threat of Josh Allen, the safeties play back against
the Bills too high safeties, so the Bills are able
to get to these runs over and over. You even
see defenders like the Jets defenders Tony Adams running with
Josh Allen as he carries a bootleg. You fast forward

(29:53):
a few weeks you go against the Seahawks. Here again
you're getting a too high safety look. That means the
light box, that means we can run the zone run
away from the tight end, you get the wide split
from Deon Dawkins again, Boom, this one hits to the
front side and goes for another explosive run. So it's
becoming an efficient run attack with James Cook and Ray Davis.
But it's an explosive run attack, and you don't really

(30:14):
need Josh Allen to be funny every single time. He
could just drop in like a character actor and it's great.
But that is why this Bill's attack is really evolving
and becoming, i mean, surely a top top six offense
with the compromary defense as well.

Speaker 10 (30:26):
Mat you were talking about the Ravens and Broncos game
and you're kept bringing up this word stats stats, Champ,
ver stats, Champ.

Speaker 7 (30:32):
Stat stats stats.

Speaker 10 (30:33):
One big stat going into this week is Patrick Mahomes
has a career low in passyards per game. However, they
are still seven and zero. How are they getting it
done on the offensive side.

Speaker 16 (30:44):
I'm just going to continue the trend of a run
game with a really good quarterback is a good at
offensive attack with a good offensive line. This Chiefs team
has realized, oh we have three really good interior blockers,
let's use them. And they're really really just using its
death by five yard games. It's a run attack like
duo zone. They run a little bit of everything. It's

(31:04):
just brutal efficiency that this Chiefs attack is leaned into.
It feels like an old Andy Reid offense from me,
either in Philadelphia with Donovan McNabb or his early years with.

Speaker 6 (31:13):
The Chiefs with Alex Smith.

Speaker 16 (31:14):
There's still that threat of the quarterback does so much
to defenses that they're like, Okay, we don't want him
to beat us with a haymaker. So what these offenses
are doing, first the Bills and now the Chiefs is
just Okay, we're gonna jab you in the face over
and over and over. Everybody's got a plan until they
get punched in the face. Here with the Chiefs, it's
Carson Steel or Kareem Hunt. It doesn't matter who the
running back is. They're getting these gains so they don't

(31:36):
need to launch the ball over and over. It's a
brutally efficient attack and really the best run game in
the NFL right now.

Speaker 9 (31:41):
And that brings us to where we are now. I
still can't believe that it's November. First, we're in November,
so it's the back half of the season. Now this
starts to get real right now. There are a lot
of teams that are starting to separate, and there's some
teams who are fighting back. We saw that last night
with the Jets trying to fight back. What teams stock
are you buying into right now?

Speaker 7 (32:02):
This is one.

Speaker 16 (32:02):
Maybe it's because I'm just buying my own Sason Hype.
This is the Arizona Cardinals. They're surging right now, and
they get a much easier second half schedule that I
think I can really hedge on this surge that I'm
talking about. But they've expanded Marvin Harrison Junior's role. They
asked them to do a lot of the hard stuff,
and now they're giving them some more gimmes. The touchdown
that he had against the Dolphins is a great example

(32:24):
of that running across the field. Their run game is
one of the best in the NFL right now. Kyler
Murray is playing very confident. This is the most he's
had to ever play quarterback under center, deep play action stuff,
and it's looking really, really good. So you've got a
great run game, you got a pass game that's evolving
and it can do a lot of the hard things.
Have you mentioned Trey McBride, who's emerging as I would

(32:45):
say a top four tight end in the NFL right now,
not just fantasy wise and true true football play. Kyler
Murray really relies on him as comfort with him. And
then you got Greg Dortch in the slot, who's like
a full hero. So you got a really really fun
offense that can do a lot, can be explosive, can
be efficient with a funky defense that gives offense. You
can watch a fun George Kittle interview about that. So

(33:07):
this team with an easier schedule, they ad just in
the second half of games as well. I'm really really
buying their stock and wide open NFC. Why not, because
if you have an offense like this, it's a really
good bet to make.

Speaker 9 (33:17):
And with that type of involvement, you think they'll do
well fine against the Chicago Bears.

Speaker 6 (33:21):
I do.

Speaker 16 (33:22):
That's a low key, really good matchup that I know
what happened with the Hail Mary with the Bears. It's
a good defense, I trust me it is. But maybe
look out for a Marvin Harrison junior double move. That's
one of my low key predictions. But yeah, so that's
a really good matchup though, that Cardinals offense Bears defense
is gonna be a nice slug fest.

Speaker 4 (33:39):
Well, Nate, as we well know, and that's why you're
so knowledgeable in all this. You watch like fifty hours
of tape a week. I don't know how you do it, but.

Speaker 7 (33:47):
Keeps rising every week.

Speaker 4 (33:48):
With Halloween here, how much candy were you devouring that?

Speaker 3 (33:51):
I to myself have been watching a lot of film
but also ranking my candy and do research.

Speaker 4 (33:57):
So who is this cutie?

Speaker 16 (33:58):
That is my son Jack he's about to turn to
That is his first Halloween outfit. He won as Max
from all things Are Yes, we had a he has
a big head like me, so we had to really
fix the crown. That was something that we had to
work with.

Speaker 7 (34:12):
But he enjoyed.

Speaker 16 (34:13):
He actually enjoyed handing out candy.

Speaker 7 (34:16):
He's he's gonna be a yeah, he might be a
point guard in basketball.

Speaker 16 (34:18):
Wow, you know so it's like, yeah, he he doesn't
want to score, so but no, he was.

Speaker 7 (34:23):
He was loved it. It was a great time.

Speaker 16 (34:25):
It was great for us too, a lot of fun,
great neighborhood that we live here in Vegas, So that
was a really enjoyable experience with to share with Jack
and my wife's a professional photographer.

Speaker 7 (34:33):
So that's cool pictures there.

Speaker 3 (34:35):
Yeah, yes, well, so glad you guys enjoyed Halloween early.

Speaker 4 (34:38):
Happy birthday to your son. Also Nate Dice, we appreciate it.
For more in depth film, checkout and a former alcohol pro.

Speaker 3 (34:45):
You can also get Jen Stat's an exclusive collective film
also NFL Plus Premium.

Speaker 4 (34:50):
But like, look at this duty, oh this first Halloween.

Speaker 8 (34:55):
The biggest game of the weekend is the Lions at
lambeau Field against the Packers on Sunday. And just a question,
is anybody in any industry and any walk of life
having any bet life right now than Jared Goff. I
sat down with them. I asked him about that and
so many other things. There's just a little taste of
what's going to air on Sunday with the Lions quarterback.

Speaker 7 (35:12):
I've got the Jared Goff scoreboard right here. I just
want to rattle it off.

Speaker 8 (35:16):
Okay, you're on a first place team, playing the best
football of your career, you have a generous long term contract,
masses of fans, chant your name and publish. How did
a dreamy blonde Cali bro from Marin County become the
hero of Rust Belt Detroit.

Speaker 17 (35:32):
I think you know a lot of my journey. You
know a lot of these fans can relate to and
it's such a wild thing to experience, not only at
games but all over the place. We got the best
fans in the world, and you get something I'll look
back on years from now and realize how wild and
cool it's been.

Speaker 8 (35:49):
Wild and cool is right, Guys, we talked about a
bunch of different things, all these crazy trick plays and
Ben Johnson doing hook and ladders. Offensive lineman Goff said, listen,
that's about a six on the scale. We got some mates,
nines and ten's ready still in the bag. The Lions
are for real. The offense is incredible, and Jared Goff
is the perfect leader in the most unlikely city.

Speaker 7 (36:10):
I mentioned it.

Speaker 8 (36:11):
This pretty boy from Marin County is the face of Detroit, Michigan,
and he has a huge game this weekend. Guys for Akbar,
for Mantai, for Sherry Burris.

Speaker 7 (36:21):
We love you guys in La We will see you
on Monday, good morning, but Bonfilm Network don't go anywhere. Guys,
see you next week.
