Speaker 1 (00:04):
Good Morning Football is the production of the NFL in
partnership with iHeartRadio.

Speaker 2 (00:22):
Good Morning Football.

Speaker 3 (00:24):
That's all right, this is Good Morning Football. Welcome inside, everybody.

Speaker 4 (00:27):
We are presented by Old Chapper, Beef Jerky live in
LA and New York. It's Wednesday, January twenty second. Here's Uckbar,
buzz b and Mill High Notes move in January. Scutin,
Peter Schrager, Kyle Brant, I'm Jamie Rdall. Kyle did an
awesome thing last week on the show, just talking about
how great g and Daniels is and all these different
rookies or people.

Speaker 3 (00:44):
That made these debuts.

Speaker 4 (00:46):
The one I sat up in my chair a little
bitfre was when I saw Eachi wrote like Eachi Row
is awesome. He's one of my favorite baseball players ever.
Goes into the MLB Hall of Fame. Peter, another friend.

Speaker 3 (00:54):
Of the show, did so recently.

Speaker 2 (00:55):
Right yes yesterday.

Speaker 5 (00:57):
An awesome moment for our show because in our first
few seasons as a Good Morning Football team, when Nate
Burlison would be out here in there, we had a
fill in host named C. C.

Speaker 2 (01:07):
Sabbathia.

Speaker 5 (01:08):
CC Sabathia used to co host this show on Good
Morning football at Diehard Raiders man and an awesome friend
of the program. He got the call first ballot Hall
of Famer. Here are some of CC's greatest moments on GMMB.

Speaker 2 (01:21):
Cool. You know, Raiders playing the Patriots. We were really
good back you know at that time.

Speaker 5 (01:26):
Yeah, we not the Raiders, the Raderders.

Speaker 2 (01:32):
The Raiders were really good back then. I absolutely lost it,
really broke the TV, like destroyed the hotel room.

Speaker 5 (01:39):
But I mean the rest got the call, right, So
why were you so upset?

Speaker 2 (01:44):
How old were we were? Like aros twenty?

Speaker 6 (01:47):
Yeah?

Speaker 2 (01:47):
Yeah, so this was this is real. Sac goes in.
He's a great dude.

Speaker 5 (01:54):
We love him and if he's watching this morning, I
know he still watches our program. I'll get notes from
every so often being like, ah, you were off the face.
I'll also say this about CC.

Speaker 2 (02:02):
We had him on before the draft. That's a tough
spot for.

Speaker 5 (02:05):
A non football like Diehard everythingle that and the guy
he shouted out before the draft that year was like
I like this kid, Max Crosby out of Eastern Michigan
ends up going to the Raiders and ends up being
his team's best player on defense. So Sac, congratulations, We
love you on behalf of the Good Morning Football Team.

Speaker 2 (02:22):
Gratulations. Congratulations so cool.

Speaker 7 (02:25):
He used to come by the you know, the Oakland Raiders,
come by the facility, come by during the game, after
the game.

Speaker 2 (02:30):
He is a true like diehard fan.

Speaker 7 (02:33):
So it's cool to see like that crossover with other
UH sports into that into football. But congratulations, CC.

Speaker 4 (02:39):
It's awesome to see that that pinball machine has survived.
In that shot too. It was Ray's sitting right behind
you and it's right over here, right right.

Speaker 3 (02:44):
That's great. We love that machine. Ian Rappaport, let's bring
you in. Let's start our show.

Speaker 4 (02:48):
We got a lot to talk about our insider with
us today here on NFL Network. Ian, We're going to
run it back one more time. It sounds like with
an offensive coordinator in New England, what's the deal?

Speaker 2 (02:57):
That's right.

Speaker 8 (02:58):
The first big hire for new Patriots coach Mike Rabel,
sources say Josh McDaniels, the two time offensive coordinator for
the New England Patriots, one of the best offensive coordinators
over the course to past decade, is now going to
be a three time offensive coordinator for the Patriots.

Speaker 2 (03:13):
He is expected to join New England.

Speaker 8 (03:15):
That should be likely today along with special teams coordinator
Jeremy Springer Long Tarrell Williams the defensive coordinator. New defensive
coordinator for the Patriots, Josh McDaniels now comes back to
New England, and of all the hires that Mike brabel
is going to make, first of all, this absolutely was expected.
He has been the favorite all along, and as soon
as Mike Brabele got hired, everyone, i think kind of
became clear that this was going to be the guy

(03:37):
at offensive coordinator. But for Drake May, this is one
of the best developers at the quarterback position that we've
seen in a very long time, someone who gets the offense,
who executed a very very high level. Of all the
things we've talked about with New England, this may be
the most important. Meanwhile, we'll stay with the quarterback position.
Egos quarterback Jalen Hurts still dealing with that knee injury

(03:58):
from when he kind of got tackled a little bit
awkwardly on Sunday's game. You're going to see it right here,
came up limp and went to the blue tend My
understanding is he's going to play now, how limited he
will be today will certainly be something to wait and
see about. If he is limited, that would make some sense.
I would expect him to take it easy on him.
I know he hates talk about injury, so we're looking
forward to that press conference where he doesn't answer questions

(04:20):
about it. But above all else, I do expect to play.
And how mobile will he actually be is a question?

Speaker 4 (04:26):
Oh all righty, and I'm going to keep an eye on.
I know Eagles running their offense a lot has to
do with what Jalen Hurts does with the ball decision
making and who he hands the ball off to, who
he moves the down the field.

Speaker 3 (04:36):
With on defensive side.

Speaker 4 (04:38):
Eagles coordinator Vic Fangio and Commander's offensive coordinator Cliff Kingsbury
had this to say about the quarterback starting for the
other team. Jayden Daniel's the sensation that people can't stop
talking about.

Speaker 9 (04:51):
He's a young quarterback by birth certificate, not by the tape.
You know, the guy's playing extremely well. You could tell
how much they think he's playing, you know, so good,
the volume of their offense, the things they trust him
to do, and he's come through for them in in
a big way. He's tough to handle.

Speaker 2 (05:16):
We've ever seen a rookie play at that position.

Speaker 10 (05:20):
You know probably yeah, you know, you use the virtual
reality stuff constantly, and I think that really has helped
him just hang in that pocket and nail those reads
and go through it like he does. But that's for
young guy to stand in there and do what he
does and get to those reads. Has been as good
as I've ever seen from a young player.

Speaker 4 (05:39):
All Right, we know mahomes at Allen, but what we
really want to talk about today is scratch at the
surface of this Jaden versus Jalen matchup.

Speaker 3 (05:47):
On the NFC side of things.

Speaker 4 (05:49):
Jaden Daniels is the sixth quarterback to ever start a
conference championship game.

Speaker 3 (05:53):
Kyle had it yesterday.

Speaker 4 (05:54):
The last five guys had defenses that were awesome.

Speaker 3 (05:57):
Commanders are not there.

Speaker 4 (05:58):
A lot of this has to do with Jayden Daniels,
and we know what the Eagles are capable of with
Jalen at quarterback. Peter, where do you go when you
look at these two guys.

Speaker 5 (06:05):
It is just so amazing how quick our NFL world turns,
Because I feel like two years ago we were talking
about the next great NFL quarterback and superstar being Jalen Hurts.
He was starting in a Super Bowl and he actually
had one of the greatest Super Bowl performances.

Speaker 2 (06:19):
You could ever ask for.

Speaker 5 (06:20):
They lost the game, but out of that Super Bowl
we all were like, that's the guy. That's the guy
in this conference moving forward. I will also say, though,
he got paid, and if you.

Speaker 2 (06:29):
Look at the four.

Speaker 5 (06:30):
Quarterbacks remaining, and I'll give Front Office Sports, the website
that I have a newsletter from, they sent this out
today and I thought this is interesting. Jalen Hurts makes
fifty one million dollars a year, and among the four
quarterbacks left in the NFL postseason, that's the most. So
he got paid, he got treated like he was that dude.

Speaker 2 (06:49):
He was everything this is. And yet when you.

Speaker 5 (06:52):
Watch the twenty twenty four Philadelphia Eagles, it sure feels like,
say Quon's leading the way and the defense is really good,
and we're going to talk about the offensive line and
defensive lines play Jaden Daniels. Jaden Daniels is that dude,
and he's the one that it's him versus the world.
And it's fair to say that Vic Fangio's not alone here.

(07:15):
I think it's the greatest rookie season we've ever seen
from a quarterback.

Speaker 2 (07:17):
We can do that.

Speaker 5 (07:18):
Thirty five ways and show how. And my whole thing
is the clutch play at the clutch moment in the
biggest games. I love stats, I do, but in a
fantasy football world, that to.

Speaker 2 (07:28):
Me gets diluted.

Speaker 5 (07:29):
When you have eighteen games and you also have these
passing offenses, it's hard to compare. What I do know
is wins and losses and clutch moments. There's no one
better in football this season than this guy. They have
six different wins in the final thirty seconds or in overtime,
and a lot of those wins are with him throwing
the ball and not just setting up for a field goal.

(07:50):
Jalen Hurts was the prince that was promised, and he
still can get that Super Bowl rich. It doesn't feel
the same way as it did two years ago, just
because of the way this team has been operating all
season long. Jayden Daniels, if they're going to beat the
Eagles in Philly, it's because because he's going to be
a superhuman and he can do some herculean effort, something
that he's done about a dozen times already this season.

Speaker 6 (08:10):
It's crazy for me too, that a rookie quarterback is
now playing in his twentieth game of the season. You know,
he's supposed to be done six seven games, but even
at LU it's nuts and he's still playing that well.
I talk about Jalen Hurts too. I think he is
the most interesting player all weekend. We can have Mahomes
and Allan and all Jayden is great. Jalen Hurts is
fascinating because he is starting a second title game. He
makes the playoffs every single year, and there's this general

(08:32):
perception from Philadelphia that's like, who is this guy?

Speaker 2 (08:36):
Is he our guy?

Speaker 6 (08:37):
It's an amazing thing that all he does is win
and there's still a met him. And it's not a
lot of it has to do with how incredible Saquan is.
And it's not even this thing though, where it's like
Saquan is Jordan and Jalen's Pippin Like he's not.

Speaker 2 (08:50):
He's like he's looked at his like Bill Cartwright.

Speaker 6 (08:51):
Just be there and get some rebounds and just play
your role. It's not like Saquan is Batman and Jalen
is rob and it's like Jalen is Alfred, Like get
Batman breakfast and like get him dressed and then go
do whatever you're gonna do plus a doku. I just
think of this game a coach like Dan Quinn, a
defensive coach through and through. There is no way he's
gonna say anything other than, guys, if we go down

(09:13):
in Philly, we are not going down because we have
front row seats to another Saquon Barkley track meet. We're
just we're not gonna do it. We're gonna do everything
short of parking the team bus in front of the
d line in front of Saquon. Saquon, by the way,
through two games against the Commanders went for two ninety
six and four touchdowns. That's ridiculous. So Quinn's gonna be like, listen,

(09:33):
we have to do everything. Eight in the box, nine
in the box left, I don't care. We have to
make Jalen hurts because especially now that Jalen Hurts is hurt,
he's not even the same. His knees all bust it up.
So you got this idea as an Egos fan and
certainly has the Eagles offensive coaches right, We've got to
get the passing game. We gotta do it finally, finally,
and yet do they. There's this weird thing that over

(09:55):
Jalen Hurts career. If you follow this, he is four
and three in the playoffs. He has four wins, three losses.
In the four wins, he goes for one hundred and
thirty five yards passing one thirty five that's the average.
In the three losses he goes for two seventy exactly double.
So in those games when he gets the passing game

(10:16):
going or has to get the passing, they lose, including
in the Super Bowl. So there's this tracker online you
can follow that will he get to one thirty five
That is the point of no return. If he goes
over one thirty five passing pretty modest numbers, he's going
to lose.

Speaker 2 (10:29):
So it's all over the place.

Speaker 6 (10:31):
It's like, you want Jalen to get the passing and
going sort of, But if Jalen is getting big passing
numbers to Sakon's getting stuffed.

Speaker 2 (10:38):
It is such an interesting game.

Speaker 6 (10:40):
And my bottom line is that a player who's made
the playoffs every year as a starter and is starting
his second title game in that media market is still
looked at as like hello, Mitch Fly.

Speaker 2 (10:49):
Are you awake? Do you want to do anything for us.

Speaker 6 (10:51):
It's a strange relationship that I think he has a
chance to really take one way or another this weekend.
Have the Hero game and Jalen hurts and steak Onon's
getting stuffed.

Speaker 2 (11:00):
You're a Philadelphia legend.

Speaker 6 (11:01):
You're starting your second Super Bowl collapse, limp around your
knees hurt. You can't save Saquan. You're going to be
looked down upon for a long time. I think he
is a lot at stake this week and the most
interesting player in the league for me.

Speaker 2 (11:12):
Interesting.

Speaker 7 (11:13):
You talk about it also being strange, maybe stranger than
also the Bill Cartwright shooting form that Bill cart right,
because that's all his free throw in his shooting side,
was really weird.

Speaker 2 (11:23):
But you're right.

Speaker 7 (11:24):
I'll tell you what's even more awkward than Bill cart
Wright's shot is the Washington Commanders. The Washington Commanders, they
weren't supposed to be in this position. Everything that has
happened for them, from having a first time head coach,
from the first time new owner and general manager.

Speaker 2 (11:40):
This wasn't supposed to be.

Speaker 7 (11:42):
And then you have the number two pick in Jaden Daniels,
and for them to be in this situation You got
to go back to the genesis of this, and you
go back to Jaydeen Daniels going all the way back
to high school, being the bony, small kid that no
one thought could go as far as he could because
of his weight. He was kind of excluded, but yet
someone took a chance Arizona State. I was talking to

(12:02):
Antonio Pierce about this, about just his development and then
how cool and calm he is. You're seeing him just
he's never really been shook and he just sits there
and I think it's because he's been doubted his whole life.
And he gets into this situation in the NFC Championship,
and what we've seen him do is we've seen him grow.
He's taken a team that was four and thirteen last

(12:23):
year and he's coming to this situation with cool, calm,
collective and.

Speaker 2 (12:26):
He's done nothing for showing upper thing.

Speaker 7 (12:28):
Here's one thing too, to notice his growth during the season.

Speaker 2 (12:32):
Sometimes you can hit like a oh.

Speaker 7 (12:33):
I got it, I got my rhythm and be cool
with it and said I'm a rookie, lowered the expectations,
just park it here.

Speaker 2 (12:39):
He's gone up.

Speaker 7 (12:40):
In the beginning of the season, we saw him show off
his athletic talent. We show him his arm strength outside
the numbers. We're starting to see him move inside, be
very very comfortable hitting those middle gaps. That makes it hard,
especially when he's getting a lot of pressure, and Jane
Daniel just continues to rise. I love his story, his
ability to overcome. He's got the biggest challenge. He does
this one. Yes, he will be the greatest rookie. I

(13:01):
think back to Ben Roethlisberger his rookie season going fourteen
and one and then losing in the AFC Championship to
the New England Patriots. He wins this game against the Eagles,
He's going to be the greatest rookie quarterback. Heck, the
greatest rookie of all time.

Speaker 4 (13:15):
I like both of their stories as I sit and
listen to you off Bar because the airs when a
state LSU think is real, but Jayden Jalen Hurt said
this is the same thing and go to Alabama Oklahoma, Peter.
It kind of lends the argument if you look at
quarterbacks and when you're scouting guys and you're watching them
come through, if you have a guy that played fourteen
games like Anthony Richardson.

Speaker 3 (13:33):
You don't know what you have.

Speaker 4 (13:35):
You look at these two guys, a bow Knicks even
they pay play fifty plus games in college football, and
look at what we're getting pretty early in their careers.

Speaker 5 (13:43):
Oh, you better believe that the NFL is watching this.
And if you take a quarterback who's got very little
college experience versus a quarterback that has a ton, you're
seeing the results.

Speaker 2 (13:51):
I'll note this.

Speaker 5 (13:52):
Vic Fangio said, like, by birth certificate, he's young, he's young,
but by the game tape, it's like it's because of
all those games at Arizona State and all those games
at LSU. Both he and bo Nicks came into this
season in having more than forty college starts under their belt,
and you saw that they were able to hit the
ground running. Drake mad a great year too, and Caleb
played well. But it's a big difference when you actually

(14:14):
have the skins on the wall and have played the
game's Jamie great point and.

Speaker 7 (14:17):
Also add to that too, I was going back in
texting with coach Ron Rivera about Jaden Daniels, and he
was like, not only the experience that he got there,
the fact that he went through multiple conferences as well,
and he saw different defenses, he saw different looks, and
I thought, I was like, that's a really good point,
because sometimes when you get into conference play, you can
see a lot of same things and get very, very familiar.
But the fact that he was expanded across multiple conferences,

(14:40):
from multiple years and starters, it really helped.

Speaker 4 (14:42):
All Right, coming up, it's Wednesday. I got a prop
just off to my right here. We are prepared for whiteboards. Yeah,
all right, classic classic nineties movies.

Speaker 3 (14:54):
Four remaining playoff teams. What lies in the.

Speaker 4 (14:57):
Middle of that circle in a beautiful ven diagram will draw
it off on whiteboard Wednesday, Kyle.

Speaker 6 (15:02):
I thought the prop Jamie was, we're getting ready for
the Eagles and the Commanders and you're wearing a Cowboys shirt.

Speaker 2 (15:07):
We need the backstory on that. It's a fascinating choice.
Before the NFC title game, all.

Speaker 6 (15:12):
Right, Ravens Marlon Humphrey, he said, I'm back on Twitter, everybody,
the seasons are. We're gonna start tweeting, and he immediately says,
please someone step up and beat the Chiefs.

Speaker 2 (15:21):
He's sick of them. Are you at home sick of them?
Or do you respect them? Or is it both? We're
gonna argue about it a little like this.

Speaker 5 (15:28):
I like this.

Speaker 11 (15:28):
Good morning football, not go anywhere, Good mon football.

Speaker 4 (15:41):
Whiteboard Wednesday, It's time for WHITEBD Wednesday. Off ours feverishly
preparing to my love here. Dared Verse made it known
last week that despite being a native son of Pennsylvania,
he doesn't like Philly fans. But despite the loss, Jared
Verse still came to play. He had two sacks. Who's
all over the field on Sunday it looked great.

Speaker 3 (15:59):
Benny walks around the field.

Speaker 4 (16:00):
And says, Eagles fans, I can't hear you.

Speaker 3 (16:02):
I might hate you, but I can't hear you. It
was great.

Speaker 4 (16:06):
Let's talk this the defensive player that you believe will.

Speaker 3 (16:09):
Talk the talk and walk the walk.

Speaker 4 (16:12):
As Kyle cackles maniacally about Jared Verse, Peter.

Speaker 2 (16:16):
You go.

Speaker 3 (16:17):
It was great.

Speaker 2 (16:17):
It was perfect.

Speaker 5 (16:20):
If you watch the pregame historyonics and Kaylee Hartungue was
great detailing at all versus doing this lap and he
has a smile a mile wide, and he's doing all
this and doing the whole Cogan and then a giant
man like pulls him aside in the back of the
end zone and it's this guy who you could see
was almost like, wait a second, palate, you're not having
your wrestling moment on us.

Speaker 2 (16:41):
I thought.

Speaker 5 (16:44):
This might have been that's great, this was actually might
have been a big Dom's consickly are in this situation
the opposite of how he is for everyone else. Jalen
Carter talked to Jared Versus was like the story was
like we put your playoff bonus on it, like there.

Speaker 2 (16:59):
Was a hole back and forth.

Speaker 5 (17:01):
And then I think Jalen Carter was the best player
on the field Sunday, and then Sekwuon Barkley, who had
about five hundred yards rushing, Jalen Carter was unblockable. This
sack at the end, and then of course the pressure
at the end put this game on ice snow pun
intended considering the weather. I think a star was born
and he's been great all season, pro bowler, all pro,
the whole thing.

Speaker 2 (17:19):
But a star was.

Speaker 5 (17:20):
Born and he does have a little bit of this.
Jalen Carter is gonna back it up and with Sam
Cosme out the best offensive lineman on Washington.

Speaker 2 (17:28):
That injured Garden, Carter might eat and might eat a
lot on Sunday.

Speaker 7 (17:32):
Ooh, I like that one especially the fact that he
he sunned the young fellas like, hey, come, oh man,
the angles are gonna be talking all this mess.

Speaker 2 (17:40):
I'm gonna show you what up.

Speaker 7 (17:41):
But you know who's also been talking a lot, but
very quietly. You can't even really hear it because it's very,
very faint. Because of this one guy number ninety five
for the Kansas City Chief he gets I'm not gonna
say his name only because he gets all the love.
George Carloftis, though, has been showing up in a big,
big way, and it's time for us to start saying

(18:02):
his name. Jork Klofta come off the edge and just
creates having and in the season. During the season, he's
led the team in sacks, but we don't hear a
lot about George Carloftis. And then we come to the
playoff time and who shows up three sacks in this game.
He has literally been like Batman for this defensive line,
and he continues to show up. He doesn't want to

(18:23):
talk a lot, he doesn't get the praise, but I'm
giving you your flowers right now. He's like Batman. He
just gets out there on the field and go like,
if I can just get to my utility belt and
he gets to his utility belt and he always comes through.
But every batman, though, has a robin, and the robin
on the defensive line who no one's really talking about,
and he's come along a long way. Mister Charles Amnihill,

(18:47):
he came out there. He had one second. I think
I know the spoons to talk about one defensive player,
but you know me, I'm greedy.

Speaker 2 (18:52):
I wanted to talk more.

Speaker 7 (18:53):
This guy came off the edge, had a sack in
this in the last playoff game. But he's shown up
in a big, big way. And expect both of these
guys to make an impact against the Buffalo Bills.

Speaker 3 (19:03):
He stole my wife.

Speaker 2 (19:04):
Part I have to get leave. That's I'm just ready
for the third name to go out the way forward.

Speaker 6 (19:11):
I think, so that's pretty easy. I think we've all
been really really impressed with Terry McLaurin. He's been one
of the best players in the playoffs. He's incredible.

Speaker 2 (19:19):
There's a guy on the other side who's been around.
We like him. If you call yourself big play slay,
it is a big game type game for slay.

Speaker 6 (19:28):
Don't let Terry mcclaurin go running through the secondary. Don't
let Zach Kertz be showing up in the red zone.
Big play, Slay. You know I love you and you
want to talk about talking. It says talk to talk.
Akbar went out of his way to say the guy
doesn't talk enough, so I'll try to make up for
it more than it literally says below you talk to
the talk on the screen, talk to talk. Last week,

(19:49):
Darius Slay when he gets his former teammate Matthew Stafford
after the game, He said, it was fun as hell
until he started trying me the last two drives. Damn
staff Calm down, Calm the blake down, like bleef. You've
been slinging that bleak bleed bleef. He had this whole
debrief about Matt Stafford trying to throw at him in
It was very profanityly and I just did the best
they could. Now he's going against a rookie quarterback in

(20:10):
your house, Big play, sleigh. Is he going to be
the guy who keeps you from going to the super Bowl?
If you are big play, it is a big day,
and big players make big plays in big sleighs.

Speaker 2 (20:20):
Something like that. I got to see something from Darius
Slay let's.

Speaker 4 (20:22):
Go wh I thought you were going to throw a
little bleep blue bleep in there at the end.

Speaker 3 (20:25):
That was very good, Kyle.

Speaker 4 (20:27):
Yesterday, those two guys in New York were blushing because
Morris Chestnut was in their studio. I was mad, I
was red, I was green with envy.

Speaker 3 (20:34):
Those two guys are blushing.

Speaker 4 (20:35):
Morris Chestnut, wonderful actor, such a gentleman, came on the
show to talk about his Eagles. Of course we had
to ask him about the fact that he was a
star in a movie that many of you guys know
in love the nineties, Clackett Classic Boys in the Hood.

Speaker 3 (20:49):
So that's low hanging fruit for us. It's White Bird Wednesday.

Speaker 4 (20:52):
Someone says nineties movies, and we all get all a flutter.
Name the nineties movie that best describes one of the
four remaining teams.

Speaker 5 (21:01):
Peter, all right, I'm gonna go back to nineteen ninety eight.
Every thing was about teenage high school movies. If it
wasn't American Pie, it was anything else that you saw
on television.

Speaker 2 (21:12):
And it was a.

Speaker 7 (21:12):
Teenage bats up watt uh.

Speaker 5 (21:16):
And I'm gonna go to maybe the rival to American Pie,
one that I think makes a lot of sense here.
The movie was can't hardly wait? All right, Ken Harley wait,
Third Eye Blind?

Speaker 2 (21:26):
Of course?

Speaker 5 (21:26):
Kids, Oh Amanda, and that girl is Jennifer Love hewittt
She played Amanda. And a guy named Preston was the
actor looking for Amanda, and that was played by the
great Ethan Embry. Right and Preston all the way on
the right is the artistic guy Amanda is dating, the
jack and the jock, Mike Dexter Dumpster and Peter Facchinelli.

Speaker 2 (21:49):
Dexter dumps her. She's lost, she's confused. Then the artistic
guy who wrote the letter. And we'll go into the
whole content.

Speaker 5 (21:55):
The bottom line is this, Yes, finally got the girl.
After years of pining and years of watching, and years
of just doing everything right, he finally.

Speaker 2 (22:04):
Got the girl.

Speaker 5 (22:06):
This is the Buffalo Bills looking at that Super Bowl
berth and getting past their Mike Dexter, getting past their
jock and their bully, getting past Kansas City. I look
at Josh Allen as the Ethan Embry of this playoff
Final four? Can he get Jennifer love Hewett. And Jennifer
Love Hewett, of course, is not only a Lombardi Trophy

(22:27):
but that trip to New Orleans, which could happen in
a train station somewhere as they all find each other
and kiss at the pot.

Speaker 2 (22:32):
He let me jump out on this. I think there's
another connection.

Speaker 6 (22:34):
There's At one point, Jerry O'Connell shows up to like
kind of be a mentoring the old guy. He's done
it before. I think he was like Joe Burrow in this,
like he's be I've done it, I've gone into anyone.
How it works, bro, And he does a long beltch
and everything. Oh Connor, friend of the show party shows
up and it steals the movie.

Speaker 2 (22:51):
Yeah, Jared shows up everywhere. Jared shows up everywhere.

Speaker 7 (22:54):
But I will I will say, you know, with Jerry O'Connell,
I was having a hard time because I actually wanted
to go with this movie that we all know Jerry maguire,
but I decided, you know, do something different for this team.
I'm gonna go the Matrix and it's for the Washington Commanders.
And of course there's only one chosen one in this situation,

(23:14):
and that is none other than Jaden Daniels.

Speaker 2 (23:16):
Jamee Daniels.

Speaker 7 (23:17):
What does he do when he's training and he's not
in practice or when he's not on the field, he's
using virtual reality, and the virtual reality is the matrix
for him, and he has gone and found a way
to really kind of tap into his power.

Speaker 2 (23:30):
He literally said.

Speaker 7 (23:31):
To Morpheus in this situation, Morpheus, I'm gonna make his
magic Johnson, because magic Johnson, Lawrence Fishburny, you get it.
I'm trying to make a connection here. But being the
chosen one, he looks up to to Morpheus and says,
I know kung Fu, and he's done nothing but shown
kung fu on the football field.

Speaker 2 (23:47):
So I'm going the matrix, Kyle.

Speaker 7 (23:49):
I know you can even stitch it even better with
the matrix in Jaden Daniels. But Jamee Daniels, like, is
there anyone else who fits Neo better than Jayden Daniels.

Speaker 2 (23:58):
You know it's Jane Daniels. Could have gone so many
of them.

Speaker 6 (24:00):
As you're sitting here talking Oliver and I would think
of another nineties movie. I look at Swing and Vince
Vaughn where You're like, where did this guy come from?
This is the coolest, most charismatic, most handsome actor I've
ever seen in my life. He's just killing this whole movie.
That's like Jayden is like his rookie movie and it's
an unbelievable thing. But I'm going to go to Philadelphia
and I will pull from the Year of Our Lord

(24:21):
nineteen ninety nine, maybe the best year of movies of
all time. I'm going to go with the Eagles and
Fight Club, and I'll tell you why. I look at
their backfield and I look at this dichotomy.

Speaker 2 (24:30):
And on the left you have the Ed Norton.

Speaker 6 (24:33):
It's just kind of this sort of every man who's
in a struggle and is a little bit confused about
some things. And on the right you have this ideal,
like angelic, perfect figure that is almost like something from
your imagination. And I just look at Norton, and I
look at Jalen. It's like I am Jalen Hurt's left knee.
Asked me about next weekend. Saik One comes down and says,
the first rule of the Eagles passing games we do

(24:55):
not talk.

Speaker 2 (24:55):
About the Eagles passing game. The second rule of.

Speaker 6 (24:57):
The Eagles passing game is we do not talk about
the Eagles passing game. I love this one. What's gonna
make so this weekend? Did they get knocked off at
the end We're gonna hear the Pixies as the confetti falls,
will find these two Fight Club nineteen love it.

Speaker 3 (25:11):
It's awesome. I thought you were going to pull a
red Bill blue pill. I know you were trying to
find that.

Speaker 7 (25:15):
I was trying to make the connection that cut.

Speaker 3 (25:17):
Yeah, a lot of layers good, all right.

Speaker 4 (25:20):
Kevin Burkhart and Tom Brady spoke about We covered this
yesterday and it was awesome and it was a good
review of what frosted tips did to many in the nineties.
But Brady had a very specific memory of it this
past weekend.

Speaker 12 (25:33):
You know, Saint Brown has done this before, but he
went back for the playoff run to the Saint Brown
Blue hair and as a matter of fact, he's got
his own shirt.

Speaker 2 (25:40):
It's a good looking haircut, a blue blue.

Speaker 12 (25:42):
Did you ever do a Honolulu blue haircut?

Speaker 2 (25:44):
I frosted the tips once.

Speaker 10 (25:45):
I only last at about I don't know a day.

Speaker 12 (25:48):
I mean that decision. I'm from New Jersey. Of course
I had frosted tips at one point.

Speaker 2 (25:53):
There you go. I love.

Speaker 4 (25:55):
Just a quick clarification, Peter, is that New Jersey catching astray?
Or is that like a real thing that happened in
New Jersey.

Speaker 3 (26:00):
Okay, we're good.

Speaker 2 (26:01):
No, that's real pride from burk Cart.

Speaker 5 (26:03):
He's Southern Jersey, which is like, that's frosted Tips Central.

Speaker 2 (26:06):
Yes, he's Tips Central.

Speaker 4 (26:09):
Okay, there was a time and a place where Frosted
Tips was the move. Let's name a fashion or a
trend that even you have to admit once fell victim
to Peter.

Speaker 5 (26:19):
I had this deal in the early two thousands, and
I wouldn't leave the house without one of these on
gotta do a pukahell necklace.

Speaker 2 (26:25):
And not only do I have it, I've got the evidence.
Oh my god, that is me, folks, stop the show.

Speaker 5 (26:31):
That is me circa two thousand, wearing a pukashell necklace,
interviewing my friends for a video that we did in
an Atlanta Hawks Sharifa bur Raheim, Jersey, Peter, Let's go
University of California, Holarizon, do Haye Hawks.

Speaker 2 (26:52):
This is me interviewing my friends.

Speaker 5 (26:54):
We were doing a fun video at the end of
the summer, and I was wearing the pukahell necklace. I
had the photo in my phone and I'm like, the
hair is amazing.

Speaker 6 (27:02):
I wish I still had to mention that I'm being
the headline of this photograph. It's the hair's second to
These are.

Speaker 2 (27:08):
Not frost a tips. It is naturally so hot. Peter,
you look at I.

Speaker 5 (27:12):
Was hot and I don't know what happened.

Speaker 2 (27:15):
I don't know what happened.

Speaker 6 (27:16):
I'll tell you how hot you were, about ninety eight degrees.

Speaker 5 (27:18):
I'll tell you what I rocked that pooka necklace. I
was like Jamie when she saw Morris chest not walking
at all.

Speaker 2 (27:26):
But that's what I would tell you. Just the world
would just melt for me. But that's been a long time, folks.

Speaker 5 (27:33):
Now I'm here talking about interior offensive line play for
the New York and why Darren Rizzley deserves a shot
to be a special teams coach somewhere else next year.

Speaker 4 (27:41):
Anyway, it's a proud sister seeing that picture, like you
look great in that photo, Like Peter.

Speaker 3 (27:49):
You had to go, man.

Speaker 2 (27:51):
Look at that there it is.

Speaker 6 (27:52):
I know you think that Peter Stregan might have been
interested in a Yager bomb.

Speaker 2 (27:56):
You think we maybe called them Shreger bomb. Hey we
did you look like you were a part of Blink
one eighty two. I'll take it that was cool. I said,
that was absolutely nice.

Speaker 7 (28:09):
Share you know, I don't know that I was gonna
look as good as that, but you know, this.

Speaker 2 (28:14):
Thing still kind of floats around.

Speaker 7 (28:15):
But for me, I grew up in a very traditional
Nigerian household, so during jewelry was not a thing. And
I just I went through a quarter life crisis and
I was just like, you know what, I'm rocking the
earrings and so I went to Claire's and I got
my ears piers. It was the very first time I'd
ever walked into a Claires. And I was like, yeah,
can I get my ears Piers?

Speaker 2 (28:35):
And I remember my boy, my boy, Nandi was like, no, no,
don't don't do it, don't do it, don't do it, and.

Speaker 7 (28:41):
She punched the whole, punched the whole, and there was
I thought it was cool. You couldn't tell me anything.
I had the shades on. I was so cool, and
then I thought, you know, let me Yeah, Claire's moutiga
exactly in San Francisco when he had and got it
that Dug Pierce then and they look at me. Then
the diamonds started getting bigger and bigger. I'm like, Jo,
what are you doing?

Speaker 2 (28:59):
Bro?

Speaker 7 (29:00):
Like come on, and I just I walked away from it,
I said, I can't do this anymore. So two years
I wore earrings and then I just said, you know what,
I'm good. But I thought I thought I did look.

Speaker 4 (29:09):
Good with the big Every photo we've seen so far,
it's like there's the thing you want to look at,
and then there's the secondary piece. It's like Peter's necklace,
Peter's hair.

Speaker 3 (29:18):
You had hair in that first photo.

Speaker 2 (29:20):
I did get it, bring.

Speaker 3 (29:21):
It back up.

Speaker 7 (29:22):
I did bring the hair. Okay, here it is. So
this is my quarter life crisis. This is my second
year in the league. And I thought to myself, you
can't tell me anything. I'm going to get my ears
pierced and I'm going to grow my hair after not
having hair since the sixth grade. And I just went through.
I had waves and everything. And then the next year afterwards,
my hair went into straight prevent defense. It started backing

(29:45):
up so far. I was like, oh my goodness. I
was like, God, gave me one year to grow my hair.
By twenty six it was done. Then I had to
go back to being bald.

Speaker 2 (29:54):
But please, let's get this picture off.

Speaker 7 (29:56):
And I don't want anybody to see the cover two.
That was cover two and it went from Cover two
to Prevent Defense all the way in the back.

Speaker 5 (30:01):
Yeah.

Speaker 6 (30:01):
Those they still sell them that year, standing there like
like you're Michael Jordan or something at the store for
seventh grade girls, like in the mall, like with your
ribbed sweater, like you are like such a badass next
to the and yeah, right we go outside the gad
Zukes is here.

Speaker 2 (30:16):
Yo, I'm a badass like you were.

Speaker 5 (30:18):
Flat top and now I'm gonna get my ears pierced clear.

Speaker 2 (30:24):
I was the biggest dude there though, that was for sure.
It might have been the only one there too.

Speaker 6 (30:30):
Yeah, this is why we should have probably pre produced
this segment more because that it's gonna be sparkling fade.

Speaker 2 (30:34):
Peter had a funny picture.

Speaker 6 (30:36):
Akbar had a funny picture in the early two thousands
in Los Angeles. I promise you I was not the
only bro wearing leather bracelets.

Speaker 2 (30:44):
Oh no, I wouldn't it.

Speaker 6 (30:49):
I got my I got my BlackBerry curve, I got
my wallet maybe on a chain, and I got my
leather bracelet.

Speaker 2 (30:55):
I felt like I was the coolest person in the
world when I put them. Where do you get one
of those? You get it at? What is that excellent.

Speaker 6 (31:01):
No, it's another mall store. It's like they sell like
vintage adjacent. It's kind of faux beaten up. It's everywhere
urban outfit I got it an urban outfitters with the
deep plunging cargoes.

Speaker 2 (31:15):
And look at that heavily frayed belt.

Speaker 6 (31:17):
On the left side of it. Just and if you
live at the top, see that necklace. Those were dog tags.
I wear dog tags. You're incredible, Like I was James
Bond walking out of the house in that uniform, like
James on a tuxedo.

Speaker 2 (31:29):
That was me. Never been cool. Coming back, dude, coming,
It's all coming back, you understand.

Speaker 6 (31:34):
Then they used to take the leather bracelet and some
people even had a wristwatch built into the and they
would not.

Speaker 2 (31:39):
Be on the top.

Speaker 6 (31:39):
They go like this and look at it like that,
and it was just where do you want to go
the short time?

Speaker 2 (31:45):
My god? What you put your cargo shorts?

Speaker 6 (31:48):
His BlackBerry curve probably like my yellow like sport disc man,
and it probably had the puddle of mud CD in there.
And I was just like, lock up your daughters, like
it was an amazing time to be in la in
twenty three years old.

Speaker 4 (32:01):
Well, I feel like speaking at Abercrombie, I feel like
I can smell you in that photo, like that is
just like a spray.

Speaker 3 (32:09):
Yes, look at what is that photo from?

Speaker 4 (32:12):
Just like hanging out at a beach party, like that
is a promotional photo.

Speaker 2 (32:15):
What is that photo from? Is that from?

Speaker 6 (32:17):
No, that's a professional shoot. I was with a bunch
of hunks. I think that's maybe so digestive something like that.
And they got us together and they did a photo
shuit and Brian to Tillo is probably in there, and
Austin Pack and some of my Homewiys Sandals.

Speaker 1 (32:31):
Man.

Speaker 4 (32:32):
Yeah, I'm so proud of all of you, just for
your willingness to bring all of these to light today.

Speaker 3 (32:37):
Truly well done. No photo, No, I'm good.

Speaker 4 (32:40):
I don't get to participate in Wait for Wednesday.

Speaker 13 (32:43):
The Bills took down the Chiefs back in week eleven,
but Patrick mahomes three and oh against Buffalo when it
matters most, yes, in the playoffs, she said. Coach Angy
Reed spoke about Sunday's matchup of the AFC's top two teams.

Speaker 14 (32:56):
Listen, yeah, well, the fact that we're at home as
a real positive. I think you know, we've got a well,
I know whether we're favored or not favor I don't know.
I presume they'll probably be favored. But that's that's all right.
We do our thing as we as we go into
this and we don't worry about all that noise. So

(33:20):
uh but it's it's a high level of football and
um and you've got to you got to handle it
that way, you know. I mean, you get to test
yourself and at the high one, at close to the
highest level. Besides Zoo role is the highest level. So
I think that's that's kind of what it's all about

(33:41):
for coaches and players.

Speaker 13 (33:44):
Well, Viking said coach Kevin o'connall agree to terms on
a multi year contract extension with Minnesota Oconna, going thirty
four and seventeen in the regular season over three seasons,
but o into in the NFC wild card games.

Speaker 3 (33:58):

Speaker 3 (34:32):
Well, the question we've been asking, can anybody.

Speaker 13 (34:34):
Keep the chief triminning their third Strain Lombardi Trophy. Well,
when AFC rival is freely hoping the three peet doesn't happen,
Peter and Kyle get into it.

Speaker 2 (34:43):
When we come back, good.

Speaker 5 (34:55):
Morning football time for a second, we call What's Your Beef?
And it's invented by old Trapper Beef Jerky saw this
tweet come across the timeline yesterday and I thought it
was really interesting.

Speaker 2 (35:07):
After a hard fought game.

Speaker 5 (35:08):
And a defeat to the Buffalo Bills, Marlon Humphrey, who's
been outstanding all season for the Ravens, said, I have
no reason of saying.

Speaker 2 (35:15):
This other than being a hater.

Speaker 5 (35:17):
The Bills or whatever NFC team gotta beat the Chiefs.
We can't let them keep getting away with this. Dissect
that however, you want a fascinating tweet from a guy
who just lost to the Bills, not the Chiefs.

Speaker 2 (35:32):
Kyle Britt.

Speaker 5 (35:33):
I turned to you your reaction to this tweet from
Marlon Humphrey.

Speaker 6 (35:37):
It's hard for players to be relatable to fans and
to identify with fans, and there's a lot of people
who do feel this way, a lot of people in
the media. I saw your guy a mad dog. He
went on Dan Patrick and you go, I'm chiefed out.
I'm chiefed out.

Speaker 2 (35:49):
He was just straight up saying I don't want to
see it anymore.

Speaker 6 (35:51):
There's a joke going all around the internet that the
United States of America needs Josh Allen this weekend to
defeat the Chiefs.

Speaker 2 (35:57):
That we need it.

Speaker 6 (35:58):
I don't think there's anything wrong with wanting something fresh, Okay,
especially us what we do with thirty two teams. You
start talking about the same ones, and if the Chiefs
win this weekend, then it's two straight weeks of talking
more about the Chiefs.

Speaker 2 (36:09):
I get it. My take on this is that years.

Speaker 6 (36:11):
And years and years in a row now in the
title game, and see they've been bradyar Mahomes going back
way even before Mahomes, and I think there's dynasty fatigue
because we went through it for basically twenty years with
the Patriots and they got no break, no break where
it's this.

Speaker 2 (36:24):
Team, this team.

Speaker 6 (36:24):
It went immediately into the Chiefs dynasty. So I think
that's where a lot of that comes from. I have
more to say, but getting here, what's your initial reaction?

Speaker 5 (36:33):
My initial reaction as someone who, I mean, let's just
put the cards on the table.

Speaker 2 (36:37):
Who I feel like I've.

Speaker 5 (36:38):
Been along on the ride for the Chiefs a little bit,
having picked them for the Super Bowl several years, and
early on Mahomes is that they still play a really
fun brand of football. This is not the Patriots. The
Patriots do your job. I could see where teams versus
cities outside of Boston would be like, I just can't
stand that whole thing. It's this cloud of darkness and
Belichick with a growl.

Speaker 2 (36:58):
How do you know?

Speaker 5 (36:59):
Like Andy, Andy's fun, He's in a Santa suit and
they unveil that the equipment guy.

Speaker 2 (37:03):
Shop is in an ELF's costume.

Speaker 5 (37:05):
Man after Christmas wins and Mahomes is likable and Kelsey,
I think it's still very likable as much as he's overexposed.

Speaker 2 (37:12):
It's not a likability. It's too much. It's we see
it with movie stars and we've seen it for years.

Speaker 6 (37:17):
Could be the greatest guy in the world, and we
joke about Glenn Powell seems incredibly likable.

Speaker 2 (37:21):
People are like, dude, enough with the Glen Powell.

Speaker 6 (37:23):
Nobody doesn't like Andy, but I think they like they
don't like too much Andy. And here's there's another thing
with the Patriots. Okay, there was they're cheaters. They're cheating
that that was a courus. There is this thing with
the officiating with the Chiefs.

Speaker 2 (37:35):
Whether it's true or.

Speaker 6 (37:36):
Not, that's not the point here is that perception is
reality for a lot of the fans, and they think
that they have this advantage and that's fine, but that
pisses them off too.

Speaker 2 (37:44):
And I think there's a lot of that going on.

Speaker 5 (37:46):
Eight sacks, Yeah, Kayami Fairbarne missed a field goal from
fifty yards.

Speaker 2 (37:51):
He missed an extra point and another field goals.

Speaker 5 (37:54):
I'm sorry Texans fans, And it's amazing how everyone is.
You know, when you beat a team in the wildcard round,
it's because of what we did as a galvanized unit,
and we got past the team and we beat the
Chargers because we believe in their health. And then when
you lose, it's the rest fault. And it's not just
the Texans, it's fans. On that map of that graphic,
we see where it's like people rooting for the Texans
this weekend and it's thirty one states, and then are

(38:15):
at forty nine states, and then it's one for the Chiefs.
You got sacked eight times and you missed two field
goals and an extra point. You thought you were beating
the world champions in their building. It wasn't gonna happen,
regardless of whether there was a roughing the passer call or.

Speaker 2 (38:26):
Not that you disagreed with.

Speaker 5 (38:28):
I hate to be a Chief's apologist here. I just
feel like this is a group of guys and the
redemption stories this year with guys who haven't won one,
whether it be at DeAndre Hopkins or it'd be one
of the different players that's joined the bunch late. On
this team, it's a different team that it's been in
years past, and they win a different style than just
putting up fifty points.

Speaker 6 (38:47):
But that listen, there's not a lot of great public
part portion of the population. It's like, man DeAndre Hopkins
finally get his ring. It's not like if like Karl
Malone would have won winner John Stock.

Speaker 2 (38:58):
It's just not the same thing.

Speaker 6 (38:59):
Here's my bottom line, And I've talked about this before.
I have such respect for the Dinies, and you know,
we're both parents, Like they're trying to teach my fifth
grade son, Like we've talked a little bit about the
eighties nine ers, and we've talked about the Patriots.

Speaker 2 (39:12):
He will know this this. The Chiefs right now are
more than just football. It's American history.

Speaker 6 (39:16):
Like, I don't think my son is going to remember
or care about that one Ram Super Bowl, as cool
as it was, it's an outlier.

Speaker 2 (39:22):
These ones are special. These ones transcend sports.

Speaker 6 (39:24):
So I personally don't get bored to the Chiefs because
they're so different this year in so many ways. I
completely understand and identify of someone who's like, if it
was the Bills Ravens, if that's not the Chiefs thing,
I just want something fresh.

Speaker 2 (39:37):
To look at and talk about. I get it.

Speaker 6 (39:39):
If we're getting to the point where people are sick
of Andy Reid, they can be sick of anything.

Speaker 2 (39:42):
No doubt, And you know what, you're going to get
it one more time.

Speaker 5 (39:45):
And if we as a nation are against the Chiefs, well,
the Bills are your team and if you are a
Chiefs fan, get to defend that home.

Speaker 2 (39:51):
Terf No better way to solve it.

Speaker 5 (39:54):
AFC Championship game, Bills Chiefs time, if you want.

Speaker 4 (39:58):
The Ravens had to return to Maryland after suffering a
heartbreaking loss to the Bills in their AFC Divisional round
game over the weekend. It was a tough way to
end their season. But we've been watching the Ravens and
the rest of the teams in their division on Hard Knocks.
In last night's episode Hard Knocks in season with the
NFC North Ravens head coach John Harbaugh reflected on the
season with his team in their final meeting.

Speaker 3 (40:20):
As a group, you.

Speaker 15 (40:20):
Get to take stock and put things in perspective and
look forward to say how.

Speaker 2 (40:25):
Far can we go?

Speaker 16 (40:26):
You know? And how far can I go? And everybody
does that. That's why this is. This is such a
kind of a sobering day. So hope I can remind
you that joy you had to share even today when
we ended today. Okay, don't forget that. It's a tough
football team, man.

Speaker 15 (40:42):
You accomplish great things this season, and you have been
hugely successful.

Speaker 17 (40:50):
Is that understood every single person.

Speaker 15 (40:52):
In this room, and that's just a fact. Hold on
to that.

Speaker 17 (40:57):
Hold your head high, stick your chin out, and tell
everybody that asks build each other up like you did,
have each other's back, talk about how great each other was,
because that's what happened this year.

Speaker 2 (41:09):
All right.

Speaker 15 (41:10):
We just stick our chest out, we keep moving forward.

Speaker 2 (41:12):
Man.

Speaker 15 (41:13):
For that, and for how tough you are, I graciously
thank you for this season.

Speaker 2 (41:20):
Wow. Wow, that's tough. Wow, that was a lot to
take in.

Speaker 5 (41:23):
That's from the latest Hard Knocks AFC North all access
that we have that I've never seen unfiltered, full access
video of a team the day after they are eliminated
from a playoff game, and the speech to the coach
gave that was rivening. And I'm watching Lamar and Dereck
Henry and the faces in there, and that's that's a
tough pill to swallow.

Speaker 2 (41:42):
But gosh, what a leader. Harball is saying we got
to get back off the mat.

Speaker 5 (41:44):
Reminds me of the old Marv Levy speeches where he
used to, you know, reference old war general saying we
must get back up and fight.

Speaker 2 (41:50):
That's what they have to do.

Speaker 6 (41:51):
I don't say this as a as a vulture or
any like some sort of sadistic pleasure. I'd really like
to see what Mark Andrews says and what he's doing
and how he's feeling. I'm a supporter of his like
that is a fascinating piece of material. He has not
spoken as far as I've seen, He's tweeted there's nothing
really infamous game, and I just.

Speaker 2 (42:06):
Like to hear his reaction. I hope he's doing well.

Speaker 7 (42:08):
Yeah, well, I'll tell you that this is This is
the therapy that a lot of players need, and probably
the only therapy some of these players get is being
able to hear those last words from their coach right before.

Speaker 2 (42:17):
But exit meetings are.

Speaker 7 (42:18):
Extremely difficult, and that one was you could you could
see that was emotional.

Speaker 4 (42:23):
We hope hard Knocks runs it back again in season
next year. That was really cool to see you with
the whole division. More GMFB when we return
