Speaker 1 (00:04):
Welcome back to Off the Edge with me, your host,
Pam Jordan. It's been an amazing, amazing day in terms
of recognizing all this happened in the league. It's it's
a go vote day.
Speaker 2 (00:19):
Uh.
Speaker 1 (00:19):
You know, whoever you voted for, we'll talk about it. Uh.
Speaker 3 (00:22):
You know around the league, there's a trade deadline, uh
this this past Tuesday.
Speaker 1 (00:27):
By the time y'all get this episode, you'll see what
we have seen today living in a real time.
Speaker 3 (00:32):
Just amazing to see players that you think will forever
be with the franchise head out elsewhere or you know,
find new homes. But that's what we'll talk about later.
Right now, I got my guy cave On tam.
Speaker 1 (00:45):
It all over here. You know for a second time.
Speaker 3 (00:50):
Don't forget he gonna be popping in each month of
the season just to talk about what's going on in
the league.
Speaker 1 (00:55):
And there's a lot to talk.
Speaker 3 (00:56):
About Saints way for sure, Way absolutely, because you know,
the trade deadline was this week.
Speaker 1 (01:03):
And then of course you know there's.
Speaker 3 (01:06):
Hopefully everybody voted already and feels good with whoever this
candidate that is going to be a president in the
next hours.
Speaker 2 (01:15):
I'm excited, bro, I'm excited. I don't even know which,
you know, TV station to watch, but I'm watching all
of them. I'm just kind of flipping through, like like,
what do you call it red zone? Yeah, exactly, I'm
slipping through his red zone.
Speaker 4 (01:26):
You flip over to.
Speaker 2 (01:26):
Seeing it and you're like, huh, yeah, you know, the
framing is crazy when you're seeing that different people's perspectives.
Speaker 4 (01:33):
It's interesting though.
Speaker 3 (01:34):
It's there's always a bias or something at play, and
I'm just like, can I can get real TV? Like
how about somebody who just shoots facts? You know we're
not here for that, but all entertainment?
Speaker 1 (01:46):
Did you vote?
Speaker 4 (01:47):
I did vote?
Speaker 2 (01:48):
Man, I'm I'm excited, and I'm happy that I got
to vote. You know, I'm in New Jersey now, so
I usually vote in California, So voting in New Jersey
I feel like a big thing.
Speaker 4 (01:57):
But I'm happy I was able to do it.
Speaker 1 (01:59):
Yeah.
Speaker 3 (02:00):
Look, I'm still from Arizona. So I sent my mail
in last week. You know, wife, he put me on
how to check my if my vote my vote got accepted.
I just assume it always does.
Speaker 4 (02:11):
Yeah, and you.
Speaker 1 (02:13):
Know, so I'm voted. I'm locked in.
Speaker 4 (02:15):
You know, you're a true American.
Speaker 3 (02:18):
Yeah, I am, and I have been since I was eighteen.
Except when I was eighteen, I had a lot of hope.
Speaker 1 (02:23):
I was like, oh.
Speaker 4 (02:23):
Mom, you know, like, yeah, that was before my time.
I think.
Speaker 3 (02:27):
Yeah, again, I was eighteen, so you might have a
great time.
Speaker 2 (02:31):
Yeah, I think I was. I was like eight, Yeah,
I was like eight. It was good that I remember
a black president.
Speaker 4 (02:36):
Come on, man, that's what I'm saying. My president's black.
Speaker 1 (02:39):
My lambo was blue.
Speaker 4 (02:40):
You know what I'm saying, you know the rest.
Speaker 3 (02:41):
Anyways, just sitting there and I was like, man, what
a time to be alive. And now I voted a
few times since then. But yeah, hopefully, you know, hopefully
our country is just better from this, you know what,
whoever gets elected, hopefully, you know, we just better as
a people somehow, some way, and we'll and we'll reconvene
in four years.
Speaker 1 (03:02):
For somebody who will actually inspire me. You know, I
want to be I want to feel inspired. Like there's
hope again. Speaking of hope, man nine weeks saying how
how you feeling?
Speaker 4 (03:13):
Bro physically got we got hope?
Speaker 2 (03:16):
That we got hope man, you know, physically the sideline
for a minute. So now it's like it's all storm ahead.
You know, we got another full season ahead of us
to you know, go prove ourselves. Me personally, prove myself.
So I'm excited for it. It's a challenge, yeah.
Speaker 3 (03:31):
Man, I mean y'all, y'all had a close one that
came down from the Commanders Giants.
Speaker 1 (03:36):
I didn't think it was gonna be close, and then
it was.
Speaker 4 (03:39):
Man, that's the NFL. Man, It's any given Sunday.
Speaker 1 (03:41):
Any given sunday.
Speaker 2 (03:43):
It hurts me being on the sideline watching, but the
boys battle, and I'm you know, obviously we're gonna get
it right.
Speaker 1 (03:48):
Yeah, me too.
Speaker 2 (03:50):
Except man, it's been it's been a tough road. You know,
it's been a tough road for the both of us.
Speaker 3 (03:56):
Man. You know, if if you look at if you
look at before season, when you've put all the work,
you know, you're going through those days where you're like, damn,
I don't know how much more I got left to
give today, and you still got to grind it out,
Finish another workout, finish more sprints, you know, for just
to just to have the possibility to have an opportunity
on a Sunday to get it down and take advantage
of that opportunity.
Speaker 1 (04:18):
Injuries suck.
Speaker 3 (04:19):
I was I was, you know, hurt for half of
last year. You know, I still didn't miss a game.
I was out there peg legged, hopping around, hopping around
on one leg. Just wasn't a good look the last
seven games. And you know, so I know, I know
it's like to be injured and still have to play
through it from a physical mental standpoint, But mentally, how are.
Speaker 4 (04:38):
You a man?
Speaker 2 (04:39):
I'm good, you know, I think it does get kind
of tough when you start having that identity battle just
because you're so tied to the game. You're tied to,
you know, just constant improvement, and when you're not able
to do that, you know, you kind of feel powerless.
But I think finding you know, not just refining your
love with the and then you know, realizing that it's
(05:02):
not the outcomes, the process that you fall in love with.
So that's kind of like the best, you know, the
best thing I've got from it.
Speaker 3 (05:09):
Absolutely absolutely, I'm trying to tell you when you when
you go into a season knowing that you know, last
year was probably the lowest SEC total since two thousand
and eleven, and I'm like, all right, revenge season, and
then you know, your coach, your head coach, and you know,
picks up younger players like all right, we're going to
(05:29):
see what the young guys got. And you're like, bro,
but i'm him. I'm established, I've proven an ear and
year out.
Speaker 1 (05:37):
And then you're like, all right, well we're gonna kick
you in the middle. You're like, I'm not him there,
but I.
Speaker 4 (05:43):
Do whatever for the team, big team.
Speaker 2 (05:44):
You know, me, I'm him, but now that that's not me,
I'm me him me, I'm not him.
Speaker 1 (05:54):
For the team.
Speaker 3 (05:54):
What we'll do, bro, Hey, break break the facts, give blood,
you give a leader they asked for, you know, and
he was like, all right, we take more blood.
Speaker 4 (06:02):
Yeah yeah, nature be what have you done for me lately?
Speaker 1 (06:06):
Absolutely?
Speaker 3 (06:07):
So you just you just hope and wish that you
have more success with everything that you work for.
Speaker 4 (06:12):
But this is the NFL.
Speaker 3 (06:13):
That's the whole point of it, you know what I'm saying, Like,
just because you work your ass off or break your
body weekend week out doesn't guarantee you a win. It
doesn't guarantee you a chance to even play that Sunday man.
So you have to play every play like it's your
last and that's what it has been. I mean, for me,
we lose the Carolina bro and Carolina was it was
the worst team in the league. You you lose to
(06:36):
the worst team in the league.
Speaker 1 (06:37):
That's what that that's what you're trying to fight off
your back now.
Speaker 4 (06:41):
Man, being the worst team in the league.
Speaker 2 (06:43):
Damn right, Well, you know, hey, we got him next,
We got him next. So we're gonna, uh, you know
what I'm saying, We're gonna try to hunt it down
for y'all.
Speaker 4 (06:53):
You know what I'm saying. We ain't. We can't take
that crown. So we're fighting back. And I think No.
Speaker 3 (06:58):
Two and seven, two and seven, two and seven, and
there's eight games left. I'm not trying to fight for
last place. I'm trying to somehow, some way string together
some wins. And I keep saying you when you put
a win w in that column, that's when you start
stacking in confidence.
Speaker 1 (07:15):
So either way, we lose the Carolina you.
Speaker 3 (07:17):
Know, the uh, the organization departs from Dennis Allen, our head.
Speaker 4 (07:21):
Coach, who's the who's the quarterback at the time?
Speaker 3 (07:23):
Yeah played them, Yeah, I'll say yesterday a couple days ago.
Speaker 1 (07:27):
Derek Carr you know, coming from a coming from a.
Speaker 2 (07:30):
Little yeah, not yea quarterback. I'm talking about the other quarterbacks.
Oh then young okay okay.
Speaker 1 (07:35):
And and he spun the ball like I you know,
I think there's potential there.
Speaker 4 (07:40):
Man. We uh wish you could have some plays back,
of course.
Speaker 2 (07:44):
Yeah, yeah, that's been that we always I think the
whole season was we've been three plays away from winning,
and it's just like, you know, find the rhythm.
Speaker 3 (07:54):
Right, Yeah, I'll say you always wanted about two to
three plays back. Yeah, three plays give it back to
be interceptions and one you know could be tuddy.
Speaker 2 (08:05):
Ours been like penalties like touchdown penalty or or p
I s or you know, face masks, just like come on,
you know, shoot ourselves in the foot.
Speaker 1 (08:14):
Don't do it.
Speaker 4 (08:15):
Don't do it.
Speaker 3 (08:15):
You get to the red zone and next thing you know,
like you know, a couple of penalties put you outside
of the red zone. You're like, yeah, I needed something
out of that, just from an energy stand standpoint. But
all right, you know again we fired we fired our
head coach Dennis Allen after damn. Yeah, so Monday, after
the game, how does that work?
Speaker 1 (08:36):
Bro? We were in away game, so we got all
on the plane.
Speaker 3 (08:40):
You know, boys is thick upset about losing, like as
an athlete you don't want to lose, so quiet as
can be.
Speaker 4 (08:48):
You know, I can't do it. What it's quiet funeral.
Speaker 3 (08:55):
It is a funeral to a seventh The Saint Saint
lost seven games since like nineteen eighty something, seven.
Speaker 1 (09:00):
Games in a row.
Speaker 3 (09:02):
I said, wow, well that's okay. So you know, so
it was quiet. Then Derek Carr broke us down. And
when I tell you, everybody could sort of feel a
different vibe. We came in Monday morning, got the news,
like I think I was in the middle of rehab,
and like tickers just popped.
Speaker 4 (09:23):
No no, no, no, no, no, no no no.
Speaker 3 (09:26):
You know, talk to you know, briefly text with Dennis Allen,
I think yesterday evening.
Speaker 1 (09:32):
But you know, like after season we'll probably have like
a real, real long talk.
Speaker 3 (09:39):
Dennis was it was my DC for the last eight
or nine years, one of one of my guys, and
so it sucks that we couldn't win it all because
you know, there there was a there was a three
year wind window where I was like, yeah, we win
in it this year. We win it this year, and
like proven to go deep in the playoffs type win it, so,
(10:00):
you know, and I felt I sort of felt that
way about this year with the locker room. We had
the talent, we had, the first win that we are,
first two wins we had, and then after that, injuries
upon injuries upon injuries upon injuries. We're we're playing with
shells of what you looked at on paper, like, yeah,
how can we lose? Now we're sitting here like, how
do we get our win?
Speaker 4 (10:21):
Mm hmm.
Speaker 1 (10:23):
Man.
Speaker 3 (10:24):
So it's it's always it's a rude awakening sometimes when
you're part of the NFL, not for long.
Speaker 1 (10:30):
It's stand is for players and coaches.
Speaker 4 (10:33):
Yeah, not a fact.
Speaker 2 (10:35):
Every everybody's job is up, especially when you're losing. When
you're losing, I'm talking about the margin for error is
slim right now. Respects to your coach, Man, it sounds.
Speaker 4 (10:47):
Like a great dude. You know you never get that to happen.
Speaker 1 (10:50):
Yeah, great DC, good guy. Two and a half years
as a head coach.
Speaker 2 (10:54):
At least it's fully guaranteed. I know when they're getting hired,
is fully guaranteed or something?
Speaker 3 (10:59):
See't I don't even know anything about coaches contracts. I've
never even looked looked as deep. I assume it is
because I've seen guys.
Speaker 4 (11:06):
Get college coaches.
Speaker 2 (11:07):
I know it's something like being a fire college coaches
or is the best job in the league. You got
to get paid the full like the full amount regardless.
Speaker 3 (11:15):
Yeah, I think they have like a buyout though, right,
Like you're like, oh, you could you know, it's like
the lottery. It's like they could pay you over this
like next four or five years your contract, or you
could take this one time buyout. Yeah, get this chunk
of change we'll give you as like give us a discount.
Speaker 1 (11:29):
We'll get cheated with that.
Speaker 4 (11:30):
So what's the team around now? You know I have
to get too deep into it.
Speaker 1 (11:34):
No, No, let's do it.
Speaker 3 (11:35):
I mean our special teams coach Darren Rizzy has been
part of our special teams for some years. I knew
he was up for the head coach job for the
new Lyans Saints after Sean left.
Speaker 4 (11:45):
It was between him and.
Speaker 3 (11:47):
Dennis Allen and somebody else that they brought in. But
he was one of the candidates. So you know, now
it's his time. He's got eight weeks to shake it up,
you know, And honestly, I know it's just the first week,
but there's a a sense of.
Speaker 4 (12:01):
All right, no, like little excitement.
Speaker 3 (12:04):
Okay, I'm not gonna I'm just not gonna say excitem
because again we got we got the foul cants this week.
Speaker 4 (12:08):
But uh you know, we we there's it's locked in
and they've been balling too. That's gonna be a game.
Speaker 3 (12:14):
Right kirk On no bangs, you know, like all right,
all right, like he's spinning that rock and he's been
spinning since spinning, you know, uh, Jon is a problem.
Speaker 1 (12:25):
But either way, So the locker room though, it's like you.
Speaker 3 (12:29):
Know when you when you keep getting kicked and you
finally get a breath of fresh air, that's what feels like.
You're like, you're like, yeah, all right, now, hey, all right,
I can go another round. Guys are are retooled. And
then you know it's early in the week. The line
is like, hey, bro, it's got to be on us.
You know from the young bus, right, it started starting
the trenches like no matter, no matter everybody else.
Speaker 1 (12:51):
You know where the warfare is.
Speaker 4 (12:53):
Yeah, We're like, yeah, it's it's on this man.
Speaker 3 (12:54):
We got a World War One trench warfare. Yeah, you
went in the trenches you can everywhere else exactly exactly.
So it's like, all right, bro, whatever we give, who
hasn't been enough? You know, like, all right, have we
done with this experiment and all its time? It's time
to go get it. You know, the scheme, the scheming
of the of the defense. Are we back to hitting
people in the mouth? And this week of show us
(13:15):
where we're at? I like that right, Speaking of that
trade deadline today, I know you've seen some trades around
the way.
Speaker 2 (13:22):
Right, I mean, man, I'm happy, honestly, I'm gonna start
off with my Boysz's he's our pass rusher. They kept
talking about how you know, you just see in the media.
Happy there are some trade inquiries or whatever. But I
think he made a lot of money for himself. Obviously
he's still with us. I'm super happy he still have him.
Trade in line is over and we didn't trade him,
So super happy about that. Happy to keep them in
(13:44):
our room. I think he's gonna keep doing great.
Speaker 4 (13:46):
Yeah.
Speaker 2 (13:48):
I think I think we'll have three pass rushers, maybe
even four. I'm really talking over ten sacks. If I
come back and I and I really go over ten.
I know burns and disease can get it right.
Speaker 1 (13:58):
That is already there, like dexter'sting there sexyxy Dexa. Lewis
is at like nine.
Speaker 4 (14:05):
Halfway through.
Speaker 1 (14:06):
You know, it's like it's like Trey Henderson at like
with like eleven.
Speaker 4 (14:09):
Gosh, Henderson like bag the man.
Speaker 1 (14:12):
Like in Cincinnati had a chance to pay him last
year and this year and they haven't.
Speaker 4 (14:17):
They haven't.
Speaker 1 (14:18):
No, you're gonna have to fork over everything. Plus song.
Speaker 2 (14:22):
I love how the market just harm me. It's but
Trey Henderson is a is a beast like a beast, right?
It sounds like I said, I can't even so you
talk about Brian Burns. You y'all got a formidable with
d line regardless.
Speaker 3 (14:38):
But yeah, so trade trade's going around, bro, You saw
what happened, you know, Devanta Adams has been traded then
going back to you know, Aaron Rodgers.
Speaker 1 (14:47):
Uh you see who else? DeAndre Hopkins es over to
the Chiefs.
Speaker 4 (14:51):
Oh my gosh, d hop to the Chiefs. Come on,
bro right right.
Speaker 3 (14:56):
Which Pat Mahomes is already looking scary, like you know,
the Chief's office already scared.
Speaker 4 (15:00):
I'm a big d hot fan.
Speaker 2 (15:01):
You know, it's funny every time I hate talking football
now because it's like a fan side of me, and it's.
Speaker 4 (15:06):
Like, that's what I'm saying.
Speaker 2 (15:07):
But like d hot to the Chiefs, right press and Smith,
I look down and play man no more pressor Smith pressing.
Speaker 1 (15:15):
Smith goes over to the Steelers. Come on to this,
give him more doubt?
Speaker 4 (15:20):
Who did Baltimore just get? Was it? White Yep?
Speaker 3 (15:25):
From the Rams? From the rounds, straight from the Rams?
Come on if he if he revitalizes, it's gonna be him.
Marlon Humphrees, Uh you got uh? Marcus Williams over there.
Speaker 2 (15:36):
We play the Ravens on my birthday too. You know
we're the only NFC team to beat the Ravens. I
need that smoke one more time.
Speaker 4 (15:42):
I got Now.
Speaker 2 (15:42):
I gotta get the Lamar jersey too. I got to
ask Hi about that. I tried to get it when
I was a rookie. I ain't get it.
Speaker 4 (15:49):
Get it you asked for But look this I code
was an accent at first. It's funny.
Speaker 2 (15:54):
So the NFL they did this thing where they asked me,
you know who I want to get sacked before got
in the league, or who do I want to sack
before I got in the league?
Speaker 4 (16:00):
Right, I said, Lamar.
Speaker 2 (16:01):
Then we played him I got before Like during the game,
I'm like, man, Lamorrow, let me get your jersey, like
blah blah blah.
Speaker 4 (16:07):
He's like, I got you. I'm like, man, you ain't
got me, but you here, I got you. Yeah, I
got got me.
Speaker 2 (16:14):
So I was like, all right, bet, I'm like and
I was like, if I get if I get this
game when a sack, you got me stead He ain't
say that, and he's just locked in and I get
the game when the sack.
Speaker 1 (16:23):
I can't give it to you now. In fact, that's
probably the reason why.
Speaker 3 (16:25):
You can't.
Speaker 4 (16:28):
That the game that sealed it.
Speaker 2 (16:31):
It's over, it's just solidified. That was my first one.
Can't give that to you to he's not giving it
to me. But I'm gonna go back and try to
get it again, hopefully.
Speaker 4 (16:39):
You know what I'm saying. He don'ta remember now He's
gonna let.
Speaker 2 (16:41):
Me get it now, right, I mean to Lamar, Man,
he's been playing like ridiculous, like you know, m VP Caliber, I.
Speaker 3 (16:49):
Say, speaking speaking to it, they got they got Pressure Smith.
They also traded for Mike Williams.
Speaker 2 (16:53):
Right, yeah, that's crazy, George. Mike Williams like Yeah, George
George to Homie too. That's what's funny. He's been He's
been a character, so I'm happy to see him balling.
I think Mike Williams gonna do good over there too, right.
Speaker 3 (17:09):
Uh, Dallas picked up? Uh what's that Mingo? I almost
said barkievious, but I know that's not right. Jonathan Mingo
the wide receiver.
Speaker 4 (17:17):
Yeah, you know, I ain't gonna speak on Dallas, speak
on Dallas.
Speaker 3 (17:24):
I'm just saying that there's there's a lot of trades,
so it's just it's just different anyways.
Speaker 2 (17:29):
And now it's it's really turned into like Big three type,
not Big three, but like you know, it's really turning
into like super teams.
Speaker 4 (17:35):
Yeah, and it's already been that obviously.
Speaker 2 (17:36):
I think he started with the Rams when they got
Odell Aaron.
Speaker 1 (17:41):
Von Miller, Aaron Donald stupid. You know, they traded for
Matt Stafford with that year or the year like what
they assembled the All Star right, and they and they
did it just is what it is. Bro.
Speaker 3 (18:00):
We traded our quarterback number one, you know, the coaches
in the game since he got in CB one, Marshawn Lattimore.
That hurt, like we literally was just up top with
the with the with the new the interim new head
coach Darren Rizzy yesterday and today he's done. And he
went from two and seven to what is what is?
Speaker 1 (18:22):
Washington?
Speaker 4 (18:23):
Six and two seven? And man just going to good teams.
They just let this man. Just happy for him.
Speaker 2 (18:31):
Man, I know as a as a OG, that hurt
obviously seeing people when I first came in, just seeing
people that like kind of took me under their wing
or whatever.
Speaker 4 (18:39):
Then you see him leave, It's like, dang, it hurts.
That's the journey, man, that's the journey. It just reminds
you this, this the NFL is a business. Can't feel
bad a long as he getting paid, as long as
he still got a job. You feel bad for me.
That's quarterback, that's c B one.
Speaker 1 (18:58):
You know, we got we got some young, We got
some young, so we we drafted kool Aid McKinstry. I
call him, I call him GQ.
Speaker 3 (19:03):
You know what I'm saying because I'm not gonna say
his first thing because he gonna get upset about it.
Speaker 1 (19:08):
But like you know, g Q.
Speaker 3 (19:09):
And then there's Alante Taylor. Of course we got tired.
We're about to get our other, our safety back, you know,
Will Harris.
Speaker 1 (19:15):
So we're we're good, but like you can't you can't
replace it, right, I know how that goes when you're nice.
I don't know how that goes. I'm in uncharted territory.
You know how that goes.
Speaker 5 (19:27):
And I mean if you if you ain't won nothing,
we're the same boat. So, man, nothing since you in
the league. I don't even know if I've been in
the playoffs, not a not a nothing, Nathaniel, you know.
Speaker 2 (19:39):
I mean, it's man, We're gonna keep going to you know,
the grind. Don't stop to till you choose to stop.
Speaker 1 (19:45):
Hey, it won't stop to you stop. Come on, That's
what my boy T five Tyre Matthew will be telling it.
Speaker 4 (19:51):
It don't stop until you stop.
Speaker 1 (19:52):
I'm like, well, I'm never stopping. All I know is go.
Speaker 4 (19:55):
You say, you say, how we get there, I don't know,
but I'm gonna gonna go fast as used to be.
But I'm gonna get there.
Speaker 3 (20:01):
Man, I'm gonna give you everything, how empty to take
out every play, I'll be over there like, yeah, you
got everything out of me. But that's how I've always played.
So like, if you say that this is my last play.
I'm gonna walk off Headhill high because I ain't never
give nothing but one hundred percent. You ain't never like
there's not been one time where you can be like, man,
I should have gave more. You be like, damn, I
wish i'd have got there a little bit faster.
Speaker 1 (20:24):
I couldn't give you more.
Speaker 2 (20:25):
I gave you a hundred And that's what I think
for me, and you know, just being for all the
player young players out there. When you watch your tape
and even if it's not the best, it's not what
you want to be, like, that's what it gotta be
is did you give it your all because you could
live and you could get better.
Speaker 4 (20:37):
You know, you can fix the tape.
Speaker 3 (20:39):
You can fix the technique, the nuances, the oh. Man,
I wish I had a little bit more shoulder turn.
I wish I would have. I would have chopped fully
out there. I wish it would have you know, but
you can't teach like damn, if only I.
Speaker 2 (20:48):
Had went, if only kept running, Oh, that would hurt
when I was like I did let up.
Speaker 1 (20:55):
I've seen teammates.
Speaker 3 (20:56):
I've seen teammates like I'm like, bro, hey, you just
kept running like had you just you were at the
top of the rush but you decided to slow down.
Quarterback pumps rolls out like that could have been you. Yeah,
you know that that makes me sick for him and
for many years. If you don't want to, I'm gonna
go ahead, take that shack lunch to go like but
(21:16):
you know, like there's a place size where you know
teammates that hit you with it.
Speaker 4 (21:19):
Man, I was right there.
Speaker 3 (21:20):
You ain't want it bad enough me. I wanted like
it's my last meal. Come on, stay tuned, We'll be
right back. We got eight games left. How do you
approach the second half.
Speaker 4 (21:30):
Of the season?
Speaker 3 (21:32):
Man?
Speaker 2 (21:32):
With everything Like for me, the way I thought about
it is I miss uh like four games, five games.
I'm fresher than everybody else. I have no excuse, no excuse.
My knees is better, my back is better, my arms better.
I breathe better, you know what I'm saying. Like right now,
I have no excuse but to go out there and
just put on display. Obviously I'm being a little rusty
(21:53):
because I haven't played football and you know over a month.
But you talk about just like my effort and energy
to bring a spark. I have to, you know, just
give it everything I got. So, you know, eight games
go by, I'm gonna look at my work and see
what you know I was able to overcome you know
obviously during the season.
Speaker 3 (22:14):
Right man, eight games left, and I'm like, bro, Like,
if all y'all gotta do is tell me this is
the last eight games I'll ever ever see?
Speaker 1 (22:21):
What can I give?
Speaker 3 (22:23):
That's my mentality, Like, I don't know if there's next
year or two years from now. Yeah, I feel like
I can play for four more years. I can play
like you know, what's Kalays Campbell?
Speaker 1 (22:32):
A year eighteen?
Speaker 4 (22:33):
Watch your tape? Why are you acting? You're acting like
you're old right now, I gotta go see your tape.
Speaker 1 (22:37):
No, I'm acting like the man the opposite.
Speaker 4 (22:40):
I'm acting.
Speaker 3 (22:40):
I'm acting like I'm young enough to continue playing. But
I'm wise enough to know that the NFL, I'm closer tough.
I'm not playing fourteen more years. Hey, I'm not. I'm
not halfway through my career. But that's you know, like,
and the reality is every year, every year, more people fourteen.
This is this is fourteen, This is fourteen, This is fourteen.
(23:05):
All every wonted from this game? Was eight like solid ones.
I was like yo, Like I was like ya, if
I can make a pro board two, that means I'm
not a failure as a subteam.
Speaker 4 (23:13):
Fourteen you're on a boat in Africa. No ya, I'm
on a pilgrimage. Yeah you all, yeah you you you
out of this world? Man, Man, hats off to you.
I love that.
Speaker 2 (23:25):
I mean I hate to hear you know. It's one
of those you know, I hate to hate to hear
you go. Let it he leave because it's like you
you are, you have accomplished greatness. Yeah, And it's like, bro,
be satisfied. You know what I'm saying. I be satisfied.
It wasn't satisfied, but be you know what I'm saying,
Just just grateful, you know, because it's like even me
(23:46):
at the beginning of it, it look hard. You're trying
to build a legacy out. I'm like, I'm only on
three hey, right, and you know, stuff is never what
you plan on it to be. But it's like, man,
when you when you to it, like it's beautiful.
Speaker 3 (24:01):
Right, That's the greatest thing ever. Is like every practice,
every game means more to me.
Speaker 1 (24:08):
I see guys, I see like you know, vets that
like take off days or like the whatever it is.
Speaker 3 (24:12):
And I'm like, bro, I love practice. I may, I may,
I may hate every meeting after thirty minutes. I believe
my attention span is not but it's never been. But
but the fact that I'm fourteen years here and I
still love practice. The worst day for me sometimes it's
Sunday because the former d line coach had me on
(24:33):
a pitch count and refuse to actually let me be
on third downs.
Speaker 1 (24:35):
That's what it's.
Speaker 3 (24:37):
This makes no sense, but that's but that being said,
if the worst part of my existence is two and
a half hours on Sunday, I.
Speaker 1 (24:46):
Can make I can make my teammates better.
Speaker 2 (24:50):
I can make you know, the coach, I said, that's
that's about the young dudes got to get. I'm I'm
cultivating right now that like, you're gonna practice more thing
you play regardless, So you gotta love the process.
Speaker 3 (25:00):
God to love the practice, whether it's you you know,
three fourteen periods are getting anywhere from six to eight
reps a team period. Let's call it four four to
eight reps a team period. Let's at thirty two reps
a day three days, you know, Wednesday, Thursday, Friday, you're
on ninety six naps, saying you ain't never gonna play
ninety six snaps during the game.
Speaker 4 (25:19):
Yeah, I mean you may.
Speaker 3 (25:21):
I think I played at one point I played played
like yeah.
Speaker 1 (25:24):
Like ninety something.
Speaker 3 (25:25):
But that's what I'm saying, Like it's it ain't never,
like it's not gonna be every week occurrents. But either way,
like so you're gonna practice as much as.
Speaker 1 (25:30):
You do to play in the game. You have to
give that blood on Wednesday and Thursday.
Speaker 3 (25:33):
When I say blood, I don't I don't clearly mean like, hey,
let me cut, cut up and bleed out. But sometimes
you do, like as d Lineman hands like hands get cut,
there's always gonna be something you could get cleaned.
Speaker 2 (25:44):
Get that that kneecap, that kneecap, uh turn burn not
on heel for eight weeks, six weeks, keep cutting, just
keep cutting. You hope a by a week comes so
it could breathe.
Speaker 3 (25:55):
Man, you hit that, you say after the game, you
hit that shower, you find out where you got cut
at the first that for showers are awakening you, Oh,
I didn't know that was there?
Speaker 4 (26:05):
Hey, man, is a water hot or is that me?
Speaker 1 (26:07):
That was me?
Speaker 3 (26:10):
You you hit the I hate like when you had
like the little blood the little blood blister and the
little blood blister on the nail or something like.
Speaker 1 (26:17):
Man, that's that's the ones.
Speaker 4 (26:20):
Yeah, battle scars Man, Battle scars man.
Speaker 3 (26:23):
I hate speak just just speaking about, you know, the
second half of the season and the mentality of getting there.
I want to I want to backpedal just a little
bit because I know you saw the Anthony was it
Anthony Richardson over Indianapolis?
Speaker 4 (26:36):
That's your that's your era, that's your generation.
Speaker 3 (26:38):
Uh.
Speaker 1 (26:39):
I got tired, so I tapped out. I called the
twenty twenty syndrome.
Speaker 4 (26:43):
I said, oh, that's n I l that's all that is.
I'm gonna tell you a small story.
Speaker 2 (26:47):
Man. We're playing Dallas and this was my rookie year.
I'm in the game and they're brunning, hurry up, and
a lineman look back and he asked me what she
do and I had no clue. I mean, I don't
do that. I don't tell people what to do in
the field. I played the end like, don't ask me
what I know what's going on. But like if you
(27:08):
don't know your job. I don't know your job, feel me.
And when he asked me, I'm like, oh, he don't
know his job. And they about to run a play
and they about to score on us, So I called
a time out. Just let that breathe.
Speaker 4 (27:23):
You see what I'm saying. That's not what I'm saying.
Speaker 3 (27:26):
The fact that that was a smart that was a
smart decision. But when he could be in the part
to mess you all up, so you were like.
Speaker 4 (27:34):
When you're young, you don't know that you don't have
that power. You feel me. I didn't realize that.
Speaker 2 (27:41):
What do I look like calling the time out in
an NFL game on Sunday or Thursday night foot You
know what I'm saying, Thursday night football?
Speaker 4 (27:48):
What am I calling the time? I don't have that power?
Speaker 1 (27:50):
Oh you did that in the league. I thought you
were talking about college.
Speaker 4 (27:53):
No, this was Thursday night football against the Cowboys. That
is what I'm telling you.
Speaker 2 (27:57):
This is this is something that's like I had no
clue what I just did, and I'm thinking I did
something smart. Feel me, because the next play we gotta
to jump off sides. We did some good stuff. It
was good, but it was like in the moment I
was like, everybody was looking at me, like you you
just did that.
Speaker 1 (28:13):
I'm like, uh, yeah, that was me. You know.
Speaker 2 (28:17):
But with him, you know, in that situation with Athony Richardson,
it's like, you can't do that. I can't do that
as the quarterback. You can't do that.
Speaker 3 (28:25):
The leader, the leader of the team, the face of
the franchise. The number was he number two or number
three overall?
Speaker 1 (28:30):
Pick?
Speaker 2 (28:30):
And like, I'm mad at him. I'm really mad that
he said it. I'm mad that he wasn't smart enough
to not say it.
Speaker 3 (28:42):
NFL. Let's be clear, sixty percent of this is reactive
and about and the other thirty percent it might just
be like perception.
Speaker 4 (28:51):
He could have said anything anything.
Speaker 1 (28:53):
I cracked.
Speaker 3 (28:55):
Hey, I cramped in my rib after they hit me,
and I didn't know how bad it was gonna get.
Speaker 1 (29:00):
I'm a quarterback. When I threw the ball, my shoulder.
Speaker 4 (29:03):
Slide, my finger came knocked out of place real quick.
Speaker 3 (29:06):
Anything but that. But you know, at least he was truthful.
Look at you, you you kids born in the in
the the second half of the nineties, early two thousands,
the sensitive era, y'all different.
Speaker 4 (29:21):
Now, I was that was crazy. That was like that
was like that was like.
Speaker 2 (29:29):
He should he should he should have gotten told for that.
His PR people should have told him, like I.
Speaker 1 (29:32):
Mean, obviously, yeah, they came out.
Speaker 3 (29:35):
They came out and said he was bitched Joe flackop
going forward. I said, oh, I mean, but I mean
he could get another chance again. Think about it, you know, right,
Bryce Young, Brice Young got bnched earlier this season, and
then Andy Dalton took over, and then some unfortunate events
happened with Andy.
Speaker 1 (29:53):
I'm glad that him and his family. All right, they
got like a car accidental. I don't know how big
or what little. I had to text my guy. I
was like, hey, bro, you good.
Speaker 3 (30:00):
You know, family good. All I care about is like
physical health. Give me beck Yeah, Bro, appreciate you tapping in.
Speaker 1 (30:05):
Yeah, We're all good. And then Bryce Young started this
game so and he won. So I'm sure you know,
they's probably gonna keep that momentum man, he looked decent.
Speaker 4 (30:14):
So no, they're not gonna keep that. They're not keeping that. Man.
Speaker 2 (30:19):
Brian Burns about to play revenge game. Brian Burns Revenge game.
That is that is Brian Burns Lawrence.
Speaker 1 (30:27):
I've never said these last name out loud again, O jelay. Okay, yeah, I'm.
Speaker 3 (30:34):
Not sure how I would I would have ever put
that out there, but I'm glad it's phonetically correcting like
it is.
Speaker 1 (30:39):
Okay, Yeah, I seen it on the jersey.
Speaker 4 (30:41):
I was like, yeah, I love that guy. He plays hard.
Speaker 3 (30:48):
Okay, no doubt, no doubt. Well, let's let's see up
the segment. Offside or off side?
Speaker 1 (30:53):
You know when we when we think about, uh, this
next segment, we're just going to.
Speaker 3 (31:00):
Say, you know, everything that you're you're with, you know
is on side, and everything that you're against his off sides.
Speaker 1 (31:07):
Yeah?
Speaker 4 (31:07):
You ready, Yeah, let's do it. That's easy.
Speaker 1 (31:10):
Sakuon Barkley backwards hurdle was the play of the year.
Speaker 4 (31:13):
On side are off side? That's all sides. I can't
think of. I can't think of another one.
Speaker 2 (31:18):
I mean, man, and when I was younger and I
saw Sakuan do something like that, I wouldn't have known
what I thought. But now that I know him and
I've been on the team with him, he wouldn't have
done that to me.
Speaker 3 (31:28):
I would I would have said onside. I would have
said onside had it been for a touchdown. I'm gonna
say off side, bro, because it wasn't for a touchdown.
I'm now going to insert Garrett Wilson's one handed catch
in the.
Speaker 2 (31:40):
End zone show me, because Garrett is my dog too,
and out of respect. You know, that was a great play,
But that's what I'm saying for play of the year.
Speaker 3 (31:48):
I just like that was spectacular, But it would have
been more spectacular had it been a fall into the
end zone.
Speaker 4 (31:54):
You know what I'm saying, Bro, jumping over somebody backwards? Backwards?
Speaker 3 (31:57):
You saw you saw Nike hit the witness, But look
at it. Look look at Garret Wilson. Bro, like the
get off me with the snag.
Speaker 4 (32:05):
EM's see, I could kind of do that. That's why
that don't seem that great to me.
Speaker 1 (32:09):
That's that's what I'm saying. That was crazy.
Speaker 4 (32:14):
Wow.
Speaker 2 (32:14):
That's so that's the first two times that's ever happened.
In fact, that it happened back to back. It's crazy, crazy, crazy,
all right.
Speaker 4 (32:21):
I'll Wilson that that was an immaculine catch.
Speaker 1 (32:24):
Its special, all right? Now, on side, off sides, can
Anthony Richardson redeem himself an indie?
Speaker 4 (32:30):
Yeah? Absolutely?
Speaker 1 (32:33):
On side?
Speaker 3 (32:33):
Yes, he gets another chance. In fact, it might light
a fire under him. He's twenty one after playing two
years in league. But he's twenty two tops, But is
this year three he's your drift class.
Speaker 4 (32:44):
No, he's after me.
Speaker 3 (32:45):
Okay, so this is year two. Absolutely give him the shot.
After a couple of games, he learns his lesson, he
cleans up some things. And that being said, is there
a QB developmental problem in the NFL? Like all these
young quarterbacks getting benched? Is the quarterback to or is
it the organization for not knowing how to? You know?
Speaker 1 (33:04):
Do the Aaron Rodgers, Jordan Love.
Speaker 4 (33:07):
I am just I die. I live and down the
hill of coaching. You got a good coach, you could
be a great player.
Speaker 2 (33:14):
You don't got a good coach, you're not going to
maximize your potential, right Obviously it's all on the player.
Speaker 4 (33:19):
Where Dolls were professionals.
Speaker 2 (33:20):
But you're sitting all day with somebody teaching you or
guiding you, and if they're not guiding you in the
right way, you're not going to get better.
Speaker 3 (33:28):
That's just the reality to me, Like I always said,
like players overcome. And then I had a d line
coach one time that I was looking at I said, bro.
Speaker 1 (33:39):
No, this is coaching.
Speaker 3 (33:41):
And I was like, it's sort of split. Like if
you have a vet locker room that can overcome coaching. Sure,
but if you got a young group and like, you
need coaching to be the leadership you need.
Speaker 2 (33:51):
The tough part too is sometimes you know, and I
get it as the player, you have to take the
heat because you're out there putting the product out there.
Speaker 4 (33:59):
So I get it. But it's like, we need good coaches.
That's it.
Speaker 3 (34:04):
Coach coach his coach, and they can never play on Sunday.
Players play, so they need to be coached so they
play the right way.
Speaker 2 (34:12):
Yeah, you just need good coaches, and that's to make
a to make a better game, you need better coaches
and equal better players.
Speaker 3 (34:19):
Right, So I mean does that also go But does
does the quarterback situation always already go to like the
limitations of combine performance versus on field performance. You'd be like,
you know, the quarterback have seven or eight starts or whatever,
let's call it, fifteen starts in a career in college,
and all of a sudden they're projected top five. You know,
(34:41):
sometimes sometimes they'll be like, oh man, he can make
all the throws, but it never really equated to all
the wins in college, but he gets drafted top five.
Speaker 4 (34:48):
Yeah. Well, I mean playing quarterback is so volatile to
me where it's like, you know.
Speaker 1 (34:55):
You can find a seven round Tom Brady, Yeah you could.
Speaker 2 (34:58):
You know, guys are rock amazing. I don't know people developed,
some people develop, some people are instant. I really don't
know how the quarterback stuff shakes out, to be honest.
I'm like, I play defense. I know I can see
a guy if he's athletic and he got coordination. If
you could dance, you could play football. If you can't dance.
Speaker 1 (35:14):
I mean you see that.
Speaker 3 (35:15):
You see that the d lion spot too. Though every
year you see like a guy you're like, I never
really heard of him. He's all right, and then he
at the combine he runs a four or five or
four to four and he you know.
Speaker 2 (35:25):
He's looks like it's just athleticism. Yeah, I want to
see him run, hit and tackle.
Speaker 3 (35:29):
Right, But you look on his film and you're like, well,
there's much to be desired, but you're trying to at
that combine, he like, all of a sudden, he's a
projected first rounder. Yeah, and you're like, where do we
get this projection from what did he do to? Yeah,
let me show me the plays, you know, like you
but you're gonna get that. Every the combine, I.
Speaker 1 (35:47):
Feel like is the best and worst thing ever.
Speaker 2 (35:49):
You know, Like, you know, they're not a lot of
guys who've actually played. That's that's the tough part. And
I guess you know it does matter to study the game,
but you know when you play, you know the difference.
You know, it looks like the scout departments. Yeah, the
skying department has to have more former players and like
former professional players.
Speaker 4 (36:07):
Not like there we go.
Speaker 1 (36:08):
I'll say I was waiting on that, but it's on us.
Speaker 2 (36:09):
It's on us too because obviously, like professional players want
to do that job, right. I mean the same thing
as politics. Everybody want to criticize politics, but nobody want
to work in politics.
Speaker 3 (36:20):
It's like we'll be back in a minute, headstand, touchdown, selly,
Where did this come from?
Speaker 4 (36:27):
It started off with Chris Brown. I've been hitting that.
That was my move back when I was.
Speaker 1 (36:32):
Talking about you talking about something yard joint where.
Speaker 4 (36:34):
Yeah, that's been my movie slide slid.
Speaker 1 (36:37):
But it was on the fore arm.
Speaker 3 (36:39):
But that's I've seen them I'm on Ross Saint Brown
and and uh Drake London hit a headstand and then
just it's like a plank, a vertical.
Speaker 4 (36:51):
It's like a plane and you roll down right on
side off sides? Are you with it? That's pretty dope.
If I could do it, I do it. I'll probably
do in next game.
Speaker 1 (37:01):
Yeah, literally, literally somehow you know, just just went for
a handstand and then just went for the plank on
the head so he was there for half a second before.
Speaker 4 (37:09):
The head spin without the spin.
Speaker 3 (37:13):
Have to spind all right, let's two let's too uh
on size or on size or off sides?
Speaker 1 (37:20):
Contract clauses that.
Speaker 4 (37:21):
Prohibit golfing contracts, I mean sides. I threw my back
out golfing one time.
Speaker 1 (37:28):
I'm on side with it as well. If you have
the face of my franchise, I'm sorry. There's some things
you can't do.
Speaker 3 (37:33):
Ben Roethlisberger, I think went back in the day when
he he like tipped his motorcycle or something like that.
Quarterbacks are no longer be on motorcycles.
Speaker 2 (37:42):
I've seen no longer do handyman work. I'll be around
the house doing handyman work. About the mess my back up?
Speaker 3 (37:48):
Hey, when you get that contract contract clause put in there.
Let me know because I need I need some more firepower.
And I look, but I tell everybody I'm like around
my house, I'm not. I'm not cleaning much now nothing. Yeah, Nathaniel,
these hands broken.
Speaker 1 (38:03):
You know what I'm saying. I'm like, I'm like, I'm
here to pay hands on people.
Speaker 4 (38:05):
Not that's people in money. That's it.
Speaker 1 (38:08):
Other than that, if you got somebody for I'm willing
to put my hands.
Speaker 4 (38:11):
I appreciate your brother. Let me count that how much
you said this was?
Speaker 1 (38:14):
Ohh in fact that we're gonna we're gonna finish that one.
At this point of the season, I'm gonna turn because
I want to. I want to finish this up.
Speaker 3 (38:20):
Go to the quick here the predictions of course, uh
the last eight weeks. I want to know what you
think about m v P currently, Who's used your MVP
right now?
Speaker 4 (38:30):
My MVP right now, it's probably Lamar Jackson, Jared Goff.
Speaker 3 (38:37):
Okay, okay, go to a quarterback. In my mind, m
VP is just a quarterback or every now and again
wide receiver.
Speaker 4 (38:43):
Or or yeah, I mean Dexter Lawrence.
Speaker 2 (38:48):
Like bresident double team, seventy players got nine nine sacks, Yeah, guard,
I mean yeah.
Speaker 1 (38:54):
To add true nose all right, op y or yeah
O p O y offensive?
Speaker 4 (38:59):
What who's leading right now? Wide receivers like Justin Jefferson.
Speaker 1 (39:03):
Jeff Jefferson like car, it's it's uh is it Jamar Chase?
Speaker 2 (39:10):
No, it's Justin Jefferson's Chase. Is it's Justin Jefferson for sure?
Minnesota Vikings mm hmm. If you say so, I'm I'm
gonna go with either him or I'm gonna go with
a what was it, Dereck Carry? Yeah, probably there.
Speaker 4 (39:27):
Henry is already ran for the band. You he already
got one thousand and a week nine, Come on, bro
a thousand.
Speaker 1 (39:33):
Who's second squad? Most likely?
Speaker 4 (39:37):
Yeah? Take that because it may be somebody from the
the Trey Lions.
Speaker 3 (39:40):
Okay, Justin Jefferson's number one, Jamar Chase number two? Yea,
Look look I wasn't. There's a sixty yard different difference,
seventy yard difference, okay, uh D D P O Y
I know, yeah, I'm going.
Speaker 1 (39:53):
To I'm going to Trey Hendrickson. They don't talk about
my dog enough. It just go crazy big d O
G Like yeah that that he's just stupid.
Speaker 2 (40:04):
I will say Xavier McKinney too. I think he had
like six picks first five weeks. They slept on a
little bit.
Speaker 4 (40:11):
Former.
Speaker 3 (40:11):
If we're gonna yeah, we're gonna go there. We have
to throw a Kirby Joseph. He got like six picks
to right now. Yeah, dang, what's up?
Speaker 1 (40:20):
Yeah? Indeed all right. Officer Rookie of the.
Speaker 2 (40:23):
Year, Offensive Rookie of the Year, the league neighbors. I
was going to say your guy, I'm gonna go with neighbors.
Neighbors is cold.
Speaker 1 (40:31):
I'm not going to argue on that one.
Speaker 4 (40:34):
Neighbors is cold. That's he's just cold.
Speaker 1 (40:37):
Defensive Rookie of the Year.
Speaker 4 (40:40):
Defensive Brian Branch shown the rookie right now.
Speaker 1 (40:45):
Mm hmm.
Speaker 4 (40:46):
Is he rookie?
Speaker 2 (40:47):
He's pretty nice. I don't know if you're rocket. I
think he is second year. I'm not sure if he's
a rookie. But Brian Branton is cold.
Speaker 1 (40:55):
Oh, Officer Rookie Year. I'm clearly gonna go Jade Daniels.
Speaker 4 (40:58):
By the way, Oh yeah Daniels.
Speaker 1 (41:00):
Yeah, you have Lenae neighbors, but I'm gonna go j Daniels.
Speaker 4 (41:04):
Yeah, respect to respect you know, I can't be mad
at that. Right, defensive defensive rook of the Year. I
think there's name a couple of guys. Name a couple
of guys, because that's what I'm saying.
Speaker 3 (41:18):
Like, as anyone stood out to her, I was like, oh,
it has to be him, Like how we just deal
with offensive.
Speaker 1 (41:22):
I'm gonna leave that open because I just don't feel
like like what I think they're all.
Speaker 4 (41:28):
Let's go to the next topic.
Speaker 1 (41:31):
I told you, look all right.
Speaker 3 (41:34):
From there, like, let's just uh, yeah, we can finish
that off and just talk about you know, the uh,
the NFL Votes campaign that you were part of, because
we already actually we already asked if you voted new
NFL votes.
Speaker 2 (41:45):
I know you're getting tired of seeing me on that commercial.
I know I'll be getting tired of seeing it. But listen, man,
it was you know obviously, uh, being a true American. Uh,
it's a blessing. You know when you look at all
things you know, we as people have over come, and
look at all the things that you know, people before
us have fought for and the things that they've put
on the line for us to be able to vote.
(42:09):
I mean, it's a blessing to be here today. To
be honest, my blood line specifically, like I'm from Nigeria,
I got British blood in me. Like you talk about
what my family possibly went through, I'm from Louisiana. Like
it's amazing to see, you know, how far we came,
how far this country has came. So you know, the
only way for you to show your respect is to vote,
right to to use your voice, so you know, big
(42:30):
that big shout out to the NFL, you know and
doing their partner standing up and voting and standing up
for the people.
Speaker 4 (42:35):
And yeah, man, I was happy to be a part
of it.
Speaker 3 (42:38):
Yeah, I'd like to say, you know, just just echoing
that sentiment, like I found pride in voting when I
was younger and now and I was like, I gotta,
I gotta vote for this president, this president, this president.
And just like you know when you're a kid, when
you hear voting, you just hear presidential elections. Man, I'm
more like, who's a judge that's gonna be gonna be? Yeah,
(42:59):
Who's who's a senator that I need to get right with?
Because as much as we vote for president, the House
or represents and represent the government and the Senate, Like
that's the it's the the powers that be.
Speaker 2 (43:12):
Like people don't realize how tribal, Like, yes, this is
a the United States of America, but like there were
individual tribes that make up you know, a certain part
of land. And it's like you have to buy in
if you're going to live here and you're gonna make money.
And this is why everybody always talks about the only
thing I'll ever say about politics is like this whole choice,
Like we all have a choice in life, man, and
(43:33):
you have a choice to be a part and when
you choose to be a part of it, which we
all have basically chosen to be a part of it,
It's like, let's collectively give all of our ideas so
that we're all represented, so that we can all come
to you know, like don't don't sit back. You know,
if you're watching somebody do wrong, you're doing just as
much wrong.
Speaker 4 (43:52):
You know.
Speaker 3 (43:53):
But then yeah, don't be a backseat driver. Don't don't
just vote for the presidency and not vote for you
know all.
Speaker 2 (44:01):
All, Let's get educated. Let's make it normal to have
these conversations. Let's make it okay to have different perspectives.
And be willing to articulate those in a uh caring
in a you know, empathetic manner.
Speaker 3 (44:14):
Right, and I'd like to say, like, don't tell me
why your president is better, your your presidential elect elect
candidate would be better just because of what you've heard.
Speaker 1 (44:25):
Start running me facts, bro, Like.
Speaker 2 (44:28):
Let's pick our attention spans up, and let's start getting
back in books. Let's start understanding policies. Let's start reading
other stuff than a quick you know headline, no.
Speaker 3 (44:38):
Doubt, well I heard, don't don't start with the I heard,
give me with this policy and then now that now
people hit you with it, I read somewhere, because that
would work. That would work in a paper if you say, hey,
I read somewhere instead of quoting the citation, you'd be like,
oh I read somewhere that yeah, okay, all right anyway, hey,
(45:02):
but uh, that's that's about it for the show man.
Speaker 1 (45:04):
I appreciate you cave On for tapping in.
Speaker 3 (45:07):
