Enjoy a big hello to Sam Darnold, one of our
finalists for AP Comeback Player of the Year. Incredible season
over forty three hundred pass yards and thirty five passing touchdowns.
Honoring tonight comeback player seems like an undersavent Sam. What
(00:55):
was it like from your end? Let's say it again, sorry,
what was it like from your end? This season?
Speaker 5 (01:00):
His fans are loud by the way, I can't ready
to go. It was amazing this year. You know, obviously,
great coaches, great teammates, fun locker room. I mean, uh,
it was just an amazing experience. I'll never forget.
Speaker 2 (01:14):
Say the way you took over this year. I had
to feel good, right, it felt like redemption for you. Yeah,
I mean, just just take me through what it feels
like to go to a team them drafting a first
round of course, and then you get your chance and
you shine.
Speaker 1 (01:25):
My boy, Yeah, I appreciate it.
Speaker 5 (01:26):
I mean, you know, to be honest, when I was
in Carolina, you wrecked a couple of our games, so
it was nice to get out of that division with you.
But no, man, it was uh, you know, it was
just an amazing experience from day one, you know, in
April when we started an OTAs you know, a lot
of hard work, as you know, a lot of hard
work goes into it, and to just see that payoff
the way it did was very satisfying for me and
(01:48):
all my teammates.
Speaker 1 (01:49):
What are you looking forward to tonight?
Speaker 5 (01:52):
I'm looking forward to seeing a lot of my friends,
hopefully a lot of my teammates as well, and and
just having a good time with those guys.
Speaker 4 (01:59):
Real quick, we were just talking right before we came on.
You were coming from I'm sorry, a thirty negative thirty
nine degree wind chill, Rye. That's a know. A couple
of weeks ago it was snowing here in New Orleans.
We're like, man, I'm gonna have to bring the park
up with me that No, we're right still, but we'll
take balmy. We still have a little texture in the suit.
(02:21):
We've been noticing the small details that everybody's been bringing.
Cam doesn't go for small details, as you can see,
no big details.
Speaker 5 (02:28):
Big man deserved detail exactly, no doubt about it.
Speaker 4 (02:32):
All right, Tim, thank you so much and good luck tonight.
We're joined now by Raiders defensive end, the one and
only Max Crosby, who is a beast on the field
and a gentle giant off of it, nominated tonight, nominated
with the Walter Peyton NFL Man of the Year.
Speaker 6 (02:49):
He is.
Speaker 1 (02:50):
That's crazy.
Speaker 2 (02:52):
What Max does on the football field is nothing close
off the foot gentle no outstanding gentlemen.
Speaker 1 (02:57):
For sure, there's a lot.
Speaker 3 (02:59):
It's a lot come from.
Speaker 1 (03:00):
Him, break you know what I'm saying.
Speaker 4 (03:02):
But it's a big night and and the Walter Payton
Man of the Year, such a huge honor. I mean, Cam,
you've been there. It's just one of those one of
those awards that speaks beyond just what you do on
the field. Like you guys mentioned, how much does it
mean to be recognized for that.
Speaker 7 (03:15):
It means a lot, you know. Uh, giving back is
what helped me get here. You know what I mean.
I learned from one of my coaches, Gus Bradley. You
give it no intent to receive, You're gonna have a
great life. So I truly live by that. Every single
day I'm looking to create change in a positive way.
So uh yeah, that's my code for sure.
Speaker 1 (03:31):
I'm gonna go ahead and just ask where you get
this from?
Speaker 8 (03:34):
This?
Speaker 7 (03:34):
This on breach Brown Jukie wanna you know, it's a
little special shot. My girl Raina, she put this together.
Speaker 3 (03:40):
But yeah, you know I've seen.
Speaker 7 (03:42):
I was watching Churchill Downs music video. You know, Drake
had this little fit and I was like, Okay, I
kind of I need to bring that to light, but
bringing you know, my own version. So just my inspiration
of course, and I Drake shout out to Driersey.
Speaker 4 (03:54):
I see all over joined now by Jameis Winston. Jamis,
thanks so much for being here and you at home.
Have never had to break up a romance moment between
two football players who genuinely like each other.
Speaker 1 (04:08):
This is my guy, by the.
Speaker 4 (04:10):
Way, quarterback and defensive end. So like also a rarity
just out on the field. But love is love football
his family, he was.
Speaker 2 (04:16):
A teammate, term brother, you know before that he was
he was an opposition. But but once a brother, you're
always a brother. So wherever you go, I just want
you to be great.
Speaker 9 (04:23):
The only reason he likes me because he sacked me
a lot. So it okay, it's kind of a happy
feeling for me though. I love this guy like just
the man that he is. Just allow me and my
family to hang out with him here, like he helped
me build my street cared up in New Orleans.
Speaker 4 (04:36):
Okay, well this is the mayor of New Orleans, as
we all know for sure, Jameisy walking in, the fans
losing their minds asking you for an autograph right off
the bat. That's what Knights like this mean so much,
right that you get that recognition but also get a
little bit of close one on one time as you're
walking in. What's going through your mind as you're going.
Speaker 9 (04:53):
To well, I'm thinking about walking into the the arena,
like obviously we would not be where we are without
these amazing fans. I look up, but you know, you
look up to your writing and then you see Cam
Jordan like for like a golden crown around him because
he's just glittering with all the fancies too. I think
I'm coming in being the best dress and you're not,
clip say him. I'm like, oh my god, I.
Speaker 1 (05:15):
Don't have a shot on. Man, you look great.
Speaker 2 (05:18):
I know you feel good at all times. You're inspirational
on and off the field, specifically off the field. But
where do you find this inspiration? Because I've been trying
figure out for yous man.
Speaker 1 (05:26):
It's just my energy.
Speaker 9 (05:27):
Man, I am a man to increase and that as
you know, like what I want for myself, I won't
for everyone.
Speaker 3 (05:31):
So I just try to be that light.
Speaker 9 (05:33):
I try to bring that fun.
Speaker 1 (05:34):
I try to bring the energy and.
Speaker 9 (05:35):
Energy is infectious, no question.
Speaker 4 (05:39):
Cam literally shouted, oh my god, it's Jameis Winston as
he was walking in, just to give you guys a
little field.
Speaker 2 (05:44):
I'm sure I get excited I see him and anything
he does, I'm like, I know him.
Speaker 4 (05:48):
Literally, Jameis. Thank you so much. Have a great night.
Speaker 3 (05:52):
Thank you, mj y'all keep balling.
Speaker 4 (05:55):
Giving an olive crushed velvet Hello to Patrick certan dominator
for Tea. It's a player out of the year, the second,
the second, we're just discussing. This's very important to make
sure you know where you are in the lineage. Patrick,
we were just discussing. I used to watch Patrick when
he was in ppo youth football is back in South Florida. Incredible,
not to age myself, but now full circle, what incredible
(06:18):
night for you. How does it feel to be here today?
Speaker 10 (06:20):
Mis honestly surreal to be in his position. I'm honestly
very blessed. You know, a credit towards the season I had,
but just to be here with so many tremendous players
you know around the league, that's honestly a blessing.
Speaker 6 (06:34):
Man.
Speaker 2 (06:34):
You know, I got nothing but the highest respect for you.
PS two passertained the second. PS two you know, because
but he doesn't play any games when he's on the field,
like cold lockdown. We've played against each other this year.
I mean, the way you came on this year, I'm
just proud of you. So my only question for you
is where you get this? This this crush velvet?
Speaker 3 (06:51):
Hey man?
Speaker 1 (06:52):
Is that money green? It feels like.
Speaker 3 (06:56):
Velvet.
Speaker 10 (06:56):
A shot of my guy, Brian Aglexander, he puts it together. Yeah,
I mean he's been doing my suit since my rookie years,
so he always had me looking sharp. I'm not having
on the red car, but you feel me.
Speaker 4 (07:07):
I love that. If not today, yeah, the regular Saturday.
I say, more is more? Okay, So you tied your
dad in career Pro Bowl selections with three How competitive
are the two of you? And what are those conversations
going like right about now?
Speaker 10 (07:20):
Conversations could get competitive, but you know we we hardly
ever talk about it because we could just sit back
and appreciate greatness. We share the same level of greatness.
So I mean it's a huge, you know, blessing just
to be carrying on that legacy and we just sit
back and just being ah, just by both all greatness
at the end of the day. So there's still a
little bit of competitiveness going on between us too, always
(07:42):
a father and son competitive battle, but at the end
of the day, it's all love.
Speaker 1 (07:46):
Legacy, legacy, legacy, love that That's what.
Speaker 4 (07:48):
It's all about. Patrick, Thank you so much. Congratulations, have
a great I've been waiting my whole life to say this.
We're joined now by Flavor Flaver. Just as we were
coming on, he threw on a Super Bowl jacket Come on,
now you have to show off the super Bowl jacket.
Speaker 1 (08:15):
Yes, yeah, that's right. Come on, there you go. I've
got discrepancies.
Speaker 4 (08:20):
We have some things to clear up.
Speaker 2 (08:22):
I mean, I heard you're a Lions fan, but you
you were a dog Pound captain during this season.
Speaker 1 (08:28):
Explain where's the loyalty.
Speaker 11 (08:29):
Like a dog Pound captain? What do you mean by
a dog Pound cap with the Browns?
Speaker 2 (08:34):
You were you were a captain that you served for
a captain about the middle season. We saw you there
and I was like, I thought he was a Detroit
Lions fan.
Speaker 1 (08:40):
We let me tell you something.
Speaker 11 (08:41):
I'm a fan of all teams. You know what I'm saying,
even though I favor all of my New York teams
because I'm.
Speaker 4 (08:47):
From New York.
Speaker 1 (08:48):
Okay, you know what I'm saying.
Speaker 11 (08:49):
But the reason why I favor all teams is because
on every single team that there is in the world,
I got a fan on that team. So if everybody
favors you, only wait that you favor everybody back.
Speaker 4 (09:02):
Love positivity from flavor flavor, not even getting deep on
the red carpet. All right, flag, what are you looking
forward to the most tonight?
Speaker 12 (09:10):
Huh?
Speaker 4 (09:11):
What are you looking forward to the most tonight.
Speaker 11 (09:12):

and seeing an exciting Super Bowl is Yes, that's it.
Speaker 1 (09:19):
It's going to be crazy.
Speaker 11 (09:20):
You know what I'm saying. Patrick Mahomes, he's my favorite
quarterback in the league. Barkley is my favorite running back
in the league.
Speaker 1 (09:28):
You know what I'm saying.
Speaker 3 (09:29):
So it's like who's running.
Speaker 1 (09:32):
Both the Super Bowlward?
Speaker 4 (09:36):
But we love your energy. We love your energy, all.
Speaker 1 (09:39):
Right, y'all love my energy too. I ain't gonna love
I'm just joking, that's fair.
Speaker 4 (09:46):

earning these awards.

Speaker 2 (10:21):

O Y Who do you think wins it tonight?
Speaker 12 (10:27):
Oh?
Speaker 8 (10:27):
You know, we talked about it a little bit. I
think you know it's a I think it's a three
way race right now. We got Zach Bond all right,
Trey Hendrick sent passer ten. You got one guy at
each position represent and I think I think it's a
three way race between them.
Speaker 4 (10:42):
Fred Warner with the analysis coming in deep, he has
studied this. He's closely Fred. For you a night like tonight.
We're so used to seeing you in uniform, full plaids,
full go. Now you and your beautiful wife Sydney here tonight,
all black, clean. We can appreciate it understated.
Speaker 3 (10:59):
But I appreciate that.
Speaker 8 (11:01):
I'm not like yo yah y'all showed out for New Orleans,
got the this is your.
Speaker 1 (11:05):
City, a second line in a big band vibes. I'm
trying to come in like a record ball.
Speaker 6 (11:12):
And it came, and it came ready, itk right, itk
right absolutely.
Speaker 4 (11:19):
Joining us does have a fantastic night. From a couple
of winners to another winner here George and Claire Kittle
joining us and George, you know this award means a
lot to me directly. You want the Salute to Service
Award this year for your work in the community and
and how much you appreciate the military service members, especially
in the Bay Area.
Speaker 13 (11:39):
I mean, Wan just so thankful to USAA for the
work that they do with the military and the work
they do with the NFL and the military. Super proud
to be a part of an organization like the forty
nine ers who kind of highlights that and lets me
do the things I love to do. They give you
an avenue i'd like to pursue, and that's the military.
I love the military, have a ton of family members
of the military. I have a bunch of high school
friends in the military. So it was very obvious issues
(12:00):
for me. It's like, well, hey, I have a platform.
Military members are to me one of the easiest people
to support. And I also love America's like wow, they
not support the people who are protecting us. And I mean,
Clare's been with me every single step of the way
with it. She goes all the events with us, I mean,
and thank you, Like my parents have done such a
good job too. We've given over foreigner tickets in the
last six years to military vets and their families. It's
(12:21):
been pretty cool home and away, so like I usually
meet them after games two and on the road. It's
kind of tough because they just kind of talk crap
to me.
Speaker 4 (12:29):
First.
Speaker 13 (12:31):
Yeah, hey, thank you for your service, but leave me alone, man.
But yeah, So it's been a wonderful ride the last
couple of years doing it. Being nominated, it's been an honor,
and to finally be awarded it, it's been incredible.
Speaker 4 (12:41):
I love that.
Speaker 2 (12:42):
How much have you enjoyed New Orleans? And I'm only
saying this because we know where the super Bowl is
next year?
Speaker 3 (12:47):
True?
Speaker 13 (12:48):
Well, my first night in was Tuesday, and I think
I had forty eight oysters in less than four hours. Yeah,
you big oyster anything. I love oysters. They're fantastic. And
I other like fifty cents to a dollar here too,
as like either place are like four dollars noise.
Speaker 1 (13:05):
Yeah, I went to top you bang for your book here.
Speaker 4 (13:08):
Look we love it, Morgan. Real quick. You said there
was a nod to the military. You're outfit tonight, let's
see that.
Speaker 13 (13:14):
Yes, So we had the idea a couple of weeks ago. Uh,
the patches I've got done, that's the patch I've gone
from some of the guys I've met, I have too,
Jack Spade in case one didn't fit. So there's someone
there too with some of the guys that I've met
throughout my career, and I want to keep them with
me tonight.
Speaker 4 (13:30):
Amazing. That is a perfect homage and we can see
why your work a Salute to Service Award, Claire George.
Thank you both so much. Cam and I are joined
by a very special guess ship boozes in that appreciate
you coming in fresh off the Grammys. I mean, you
have had an incredible year. We saw you in the
(13:53):
Christmas Game halftime with Beyonce on Netflix. I mean, just
a roller coaster so far. Have you been able to
take it in one moment and really digest everything.
Speaker 6 (14:01):
Yeah, it's been a whirld and honestly roller coaster, but
you know, every moment I can, I'm just grateful, giving thanks,
trying to spend time with my friends, my family. Uh
and Super Bowl is gonna be fun because I'm bringing
all my friends through and we're gonna have a fun time.
Speaker 1 (14:16):
Come on, man, I mean, what are you looking for
to tonight?
Speaker 6 (14:18):
Man? Seeing my boy from you know, the Commander's over there,
man Das, you know what I mean, he almost brought
it for the home team from I'm from Virginia.
Speaker 2 (14:26):
So it's.
Speaker 6 (14:29):
Watching the Skins and the Commanders and everybody, you know
do they things. So you know, I'm really proud to
be from the d m V. Honestly.
Speaker 4 (14:37):
Okay, So when you're saying you have these little pockets
of downtime, you've just been screaming your head off for
the Commanders, and I love that. That's greue. What a juxtaposition.
A little country, no NFL, they.
Speaker 1 (14:48):
Go hand ahead.
Speaker 6 (14:50):
Also, you're playing in every locker room for every locker room,
and every locker room every halftime show. Man, Uh, you know,
I can't wait to you know, see the Super Bowl
and see what Kendrick got to get, you know, got
coming fantastic boozy.

to see you up close and personal. We are here
with don't adjust your TV screens. The head coach of
the University of North Carolina, Bill Belichick, in a just
a subtle flex their coach. Okay, well there we go.
Speaker 6 (15:18):
Just cool.
Speaker 2 (15:18):
Just you know, me and my dad got twenty seven
years of NFL experience. But we're all chasing something right,
and this.
Speaker 6 (15:24):
Is good players can that's the key football players.
Speaker 4 (15:27):
Coach through and through to the end. I see spot
on answer.
Speaker 1 (15:31):
What are you? What are you looking forward to tonight?
Speaker 4 (15:34):
First time I've ever been to the event.
Speaker 6 (15:35):
So I'm just excited to see all the first time
the NFL, you know, celebrities here.
Speaker 4 (15:40):
And all the great people to make the NFL happen. See,
that's what happens when you keep going to Super Bowls,
you can't come to the NFL.
Speaker 1 (15:47):
Is that how that works?
Speaker 9 (15:48):
Yeah?
Speaker 4 (15:48):
So that tracks. Actually I'm surprised at first, but I
get it now I do. And so far, what do
you think? A lot of energy?
Speaker 3 (15:55):
Yeah, a lot of energy here at be great night tonight.
Speaker 4 (15:57):
Yeah, traffic's rough, but that's all right. It's good to
get here.
Speaker 2 (15:59):
Come. I mean, you're you're one of the top coaches
of all times. Uh So going back to being just
a coach, analyzing both teams.
Speaker 1 (16:07):
Who's winning tomorrow or who's winning Sunday Night's game?
Speaker 7 (16:11):
Great game, love both teams, love both coaches.
Speaker 9 (16:14):
Uh, it'll be tough.
Speaker 6 (16:15):
It'll be tough either way.
Speaker 4 (16:16):
Maybe whoever has have all asked, oh did take that?
He gave us. He gave us a little bit back.
Speaker 1 (16:22):
He's done this before, Coach.
Speaker 4 (16:24):
I appreciate you. All right, it's happening, guys, quite literally,
prime time in the house. Deon Sanders should in the house.
Thank you both for coming through. I mean yeah, the
second you walked out on the carpet, look awesome. Thank
you so much.
Speaker 1 (16:41):

Speaker 4 (16:44):
On, incredible night, a birthday weekend.
Speaker 1 (16:48):
On birthday tomorrow. Okay, period, finally turned twenty three. You know,
I'm best, I'm blessed. I'm excited.
Speaker 4 (16:55):
What a blessing. Three years old?
Speaker 2 (16:58):
Two?
Speaker 1 (16:58):
Wow? Right now month birthday, your birthday?
Speaker 4 (17:03):
All yoah, damn, you're no stranger to this NFL honors,
to the postseason, to being Super Bowl week. To share
this now with your son.
Speaker 1 (17:11):
Right because he's barking on this.
Speaker 14 (17:14):
I want him to golf at all, because I want
him to see himself up there on that stage a
year or so from now.
Speaker 3 (17:20):
Yeah, that's the way we think.
Speaker 2 (17:22):
You have to just on the stage. Apparently I've heard
you're not on the stage. I mean you're playing in
the ship.
Speaker 1 (17:27):
That would be can you know?
Speaker 2 (17:28):
So I know look, I know you're gonna be your
first round. We've seen you see your arm challenge. You
know some people got you projected top one two, you know,
or you fall to like nine and where I don't know.
Speaker 12 (17:40):
My dad.
Speaker 4 (17:42):
Shooting shot all.
Speaker 1 (17:44):
It's not tampering it. For just having fun, that's.
Speaker 14 (17:48):
So.
Speaker 1 (17:49):
Yeah, absolutely so. And for for a guy like you
who's done it.
Speaker 2 (17:52):
All at the collegiate level to come to you know,
the NFL, what are you looking forward to?
Speaker 1 (17:57):
Just the challenge, the excitement.
Speaker 2 (17:58):
Uh.
Speaker 1 (18:00):
We established ourselves at Jackson State.
Speaker 8 (18:01):
We did that Colorado, so then now you know it's
time to do it in the league.
Speaker 14 (18:06):
Uh.
Speaker 4 (18:06):
Dean, what has been I think in your mind the
biggest piece of advice that you've given, Sudor.
Speaker 3 (18:12):
It's been so much.
Speaker 14 (18:14):
This is not just a player about this is my son,
my son's plural.
Speaker 1 (18:19):
So just take one step at a time. Yeah, and
and maximize your moments.
Speaker 14 (18:26):
Life consists of a multitude of moments, and those of
us that are on this stage right now, we maximize them.
That's why we're here.
Speaker 4 (18:32):
Incredible, all right, enjoy the night you guys, Thank you
looking clean and the all black.
Speaker 1 (18:42):
Family.
Speaker 4 (18:43):
This is family, business, business, decisions.
Speaker 6 (18:46):
If you are.
Speaker 4 (18:49):
Joined now by Jayden Daniels, I mean the legend already
because what an incredible year. But you're here on behalf
of Invisiligne. All smiles for you, but for commanders, fans
and apparently also for Shaboozi. So how do you think
of proving your smile is going to help your confidence
both on and off the field.
Speaker 12 (19:08):
Uh, for events like this, you gotta walk down the
red carpet, you gotta shot off the smile.
Speaker 14 (19:13):
You know.
Speaker 12 (19:13):
That's why I partner with the Visit Line. You know,
Visit line boost confidence on off the field. So I
think everybody should try it.
Speaker 3 (19:19):
Man.
Speaker 1 (19:20):
I mean, you know up from Arizona.
Speaker 2 (19:21):
You started out of Arizona State, played for New Ornans,
you finished your career and shield. We know a lot
of similarities, but just an athlete, like, what advice would
you give to young and inspiring athletes about having confidence
to tackle anything that comes your way?
Speaker 1 (19:34):
Yeah? Man, just keep going.
Speaker 12 (19:35):
Anything in life that you want to go through, You're
gonna go through some adversity. It's gonna be some hard times,
but at the end of the day, man, you got
to keep pushing and keep going to achieve your green
young goals.
Speaker 1 (19:43):
Man, legendary.
Speaker 2 (19:45):
That's what I'm saying, young and legend I'm always gonna
root for you because you know this this one is there.
Speaker 3 (19:48):
Yeahs.
Speaker 1 (19:49):
And then we played this year and then we got
even more connected.
Speaker 12 (19:51):
We did literally he got me a couple of times.
Speaker 4 (19:55):
You knew he was gonna throw here.
Speaker 12 (19:57):
He's talking the whole I got you.
Speaker 1 (20:00):
But what are you looking forward tonight?
Speaker 6 (20:05):
Man?
Speaker 2 (20:06):
Me and.
Speaker 1 (20:08):
I don't know about that.
Speaker 12 (20:09):
Hopefully to spend the time, uh, spending time with my
boys and the league. Name is Brian Thomas there too.
Speaker 1 (20:17):
And your award, uh yeah, we'll see, We'll see.
Speaker 4 (20:20):
Love watching you. Incredible for the game and just.
Speaker 2 (20:22):
What are your for you very appreciated, proud of you,
my boy.
Speaker 1 (20:34):
It's Cam Jordans, you know, just a just a defensive end.
Speaker 2 (20:37):
I'm coming off the edge with my podcast of course,
Cam Jordan's Off the Edge podcast, and I'm just super excited.
You know, I've got a man who's made his claim
to fame with hot Dog eating Champion, but even better
than that, a man who just wins, just a winner.
Speaker 1 (20:50):
Joey Chestnutt, how are you?
Speaker 3 (20:52):
I'm doing good? I got the best job in the world,
I gets a travel eat and win.
Speaker 1 (20:55):
Jesus.
Speaker 6 (20:57):
Uh.
Speaker 2 (20:57):
It sounds like you know, the Saints when we were
really really rolling back in the you know, twenty nineteen,
twenty eighteen area where we were just winning at a
high clip. Gotta love that for you, you're probably considered the
greatest competitive eater of all times. Doing it's yeah, hell
of a line. It's weird.
Speaker 3 (21:13):
Yeah to say you're the best, Like, I don't want
to say I'm the best because then that that kind
of motivates other people. Yeah, so I let other people
say it, but I, uh, you know, I feel good, man, Ye.
Speaker 1 (21:23):
I'll say own that.
Speaker 2 (21:24):
I mean, if there's an eating if there's an eating competition,
I've seen you pop up and win it.
Speaker 1 (21:29):
So I mean you've you've transcended just the the hot dogs.
I've seen you push vegan dogs. Is that you know?
Speaker 14 (21:35):
I know?
Speaker 1 (21:36):
How was that? Actually?
Speaker 3 (21:37):
I never did anything with the vegan dogs. Okay, So
I was doing work with the Vegan company. Because after
I do eat fifteen sixteen pounds of meat, I take
a break from meat to meat.
Speaker 1 (21:45):
That makes sense.
Speaker 3 (21:46):
So I gotta I gotta work hard to get back
to my normal diet or normal weight. So I do eat.
I eat really green after contests.
Speaker 2 (21:54):
Yeah, you wan no parts of that you go to
well Otherwise if I if I take it, if I
have any starches or sugar, then all that waste on
me and then I'll be heavy for my next event.
Speaker 3 (22:02):
Then I lose. There's nothing worse than traveling halfway across
the country and losing, right football, trust me, I know,
my god, the ride home after you Yeah, after you lose,
your feel beat up. It sucks.
Speaker 1 (22:16):
That's what leads you to, you know, wonderful things like tequila.
Speaker 2 (22:18):
You're like, oh man, You're like, come on, man, Like
like I did not just fly Monday night football to
fly to cold ass dumb Wisconsin to get beat by
the Green Bay Packers.
Speaker 1 (22:29):
Like how what why you know what? Just just him
me the tequila bottle.
Speaker 3 (22:33):
Yeah yeah that's them live.
Speaker 2 (22:35):
Yeah, clear yeah, clearly, clearly, that's that's my my my
cross to beer right now. But after you know, I'm
just thinking, like, after being ask you for being here,
you just want a bagel eating contest in Vegas.
Speaker 1 (22:48):
Last weekend bagels? Oh my bagels.
Speaker 3 (22:51):
Yeah. So poundage wasn't crazy. It was only like probably
eight pounds of bagel. So fifteen bagels, fifteen bagels in
eight minutes, but my jaws were so tired afterwards, I
like try to open my mouth and like, uh like
it's just like.
Speaker 1 (23:03):
Say the dough, the yeast, the it's just there.
Speaker 2 (23:06):
There's there, just damp like New York dagels or bagels.
Speaker 3 (23:10):
Okay, a little bit crusty on the like like a
shell on the out side, and then just like dance
on the inside. And uh, I got the wind.
Speaker 1 (23:16):
Got the wind. Just shy the record, which is apparently
is like seventeen and a half bigels.
Speaker 3 (23:20):
I'm just looking. Yeah, that guy no cring that. He
must have been cheating because when it he only did
like thirteen this year.
Speaker 1 (23:26):
Okay, okay, so you just had like one really special day.
Speaker 3 (23:29):
He had a good day.
Speaker 2 (23:30):
You know, he didn't beat me. I wasn't there that day.
So Josh Allen got got it. Lamar Jackson MVP. Okay,
we won't talk about it. You're right, you he got
the all pro, but you I got the wind. I'm
the champ, a perfect Like, how do you decide which
competition to enter because at this point you're you're going after.
Speaker 3 (23:49):
Foods, oh, food groups, I got the best deal on earth. Yeah.
So usually companies reach out to me like dude, can
you think you can win this contest? We have it
or they want it.
Speaker 2 (23:58):
So usually it's not based on on the type of food.
It's based on the company that comes out.
Speaker 3 (24:03):
And sometimes sometimes I'm like guys like, oh, there was
an Asahi place they reached out to me not too
long ago, and I was like, I just doesn't agree
with my body too much of it. It gives me.
It just makes me feel nauseous, uh, which which, Yeah,
I have to like the food I like. I like
to eat. If it's food I don't like or doesn't
agree with my body, then so I know how Yeah
(24:24):
a little I asked how he ye?
Speaker 2 (24:27):
I literally I literally just came back from Real de
Gennaio and I've always been like, eh, I was like,
you know, eating it here maybe like like pie balls,
maybe was.
Speaker 1 (24:33):
All right, but it was like trash. I ease is
definitely what I've been calling it. Like if all my
teams were like, you.
Speaker 2 (24:38):
Get call that it doesn't work, but I go to
I go to Real Degonnaro and it hit completely but.
Speaker 3 (24:42):
It's completely different. Yeah, when it's when it's coming on
like a frozen bowl. You have to throw out a
little bit neat and it's Yeah.
Speaker 2 (24:48):
I was like, like I said, I've got I've got
my eyes completely adjusted and refocused.
Speaker 1 (24:52):
I'm like, no, that that does. See.
Speaker 2 (24:53):
I asked how eat that I was eating in uh Brazil?
I said, oh, I said, okay, I'm sorry, I'm sorry.
Speaker 3 (24:59):
Sorry, dispected it just like that though, Like I did
kim chi uh in Korea. Yeah, and that was really
really good, dud. It was right. What we eat America
is like lame compared to that. It was like, I
know they had the real kim out there.
Speaker 1 (25:15):
Yeah, it was so Yeah, I've been there.
Speaker 3 (25:17):
Love it right, good people.
Speaker 14 (25:18):
Right, do.
Speaker 3 (25:20):
You know Soul Korea and Tokyo.
Speaker 1 (25:23):
Yeah, dude, which one do you like more?
Speaker 3 (25:25):
I like Soul more.
Speaker 2 (25:26):
I like Kyoto more than Tokyo. But continueing and people
and Soul, it's easy to drink the strangers in Korea.
Well absolutely, yeah, absolutely, that was. But they're sojo. You
can you can have that, you can have the sojo.
Speaker 1 (25:39):
I don't like them. I'm a I'm a plumb wine guy, you.
Speaker 2 (25:42):
Know, So take take me to take me to Tokyo
Kyoto and I'm a plumb wind it out.
Speaker 3 (25:47):
Have you ever had the habu saki?
Speaker 14 (25:48):
No?
Speaker 3 (25:49):
And it's like it's like they're whiskey and they drown
a snake in.
Speaker 1 (25:53):
It and you have my attention.
Speaker 3 (25:55):
Hell yeah. And the pit ber supposedly real releases his
venom in there, and so every time you drink.
Speaker 2 (26:01):
It, you're taking a little bit of oh nice, Yeah, yeah, absolutely,
that's how you become in previous to get the four
just like you know, slowly dilute.
Speaker 1 (26:07):
Your blood and poison all right.
Speaker 2 (26:10):
But I mean when you think about do you plan
out the events by by the time the month?
Speaker 1 (26:14):
Do you plan them out by the year, like do.
Speaker 3 (26:16):
You get Yeah, so I'm already planning in summer. So
I'm hoping I can get back to the fourth of
July hot Dog contest this year. Last year they wouldn't
let me compete. There's a weird they got. I don't
know it.
Speaker 1 (26:27):
Nothingn't work out, discrepancies just yeah.
Speaker 3 (26:30):
Yeah, contract issues and uh yeah. Nobody likes to talk
about though, but yeah, sometimes you got to.
Speaker 2 (26:35):
You gotta pull that Chris Jones, you know, miss out
a year, make them miss you and realize.
Speaker 1 (26:39):
Hey, that you are needed you know, I think we
miss each other.
Speaker 3 (26:43):
I think the fans miss it. So I'm hoping we
can figure it out. But uh, if it doesn't work,
that's life. But uh yeah, so I'm working on summer
and uh, summer is where it heats up. Yeah, fourth
of July. Then there's that.
Speaker 1 (26:54):
Does that help with digestion?
Speaker 2 (26:55):
Like as an as an athlete, like I look forward
to the summer because that's when I can put the
sway it's on in Arizona, go biking, go running.
Speaker 1 (27:02):
That's when like you get that chiseled, almost get that
v right there.
Speaker 3 (27:05):
It's easy. Yeah, Like feel like I can drop drop
weight quick. It's hard to eat a lot when you're cold.
You can't do anything when you're cold, Like, thank you.
Speaker 2 (27:13):
You can't do anything when you're cold, like play a
football game. And stupid outside places don't have domes. I'm
gonna stop saying stupid because like a lot of people
don't leave.
Speaker 3 (27:20):
The new Buffalo Stadium.
Speaker 1 (27:21):
Is two billion dollars and you're like, you know what.
Speaker 3 (27:23):
It's gonna be over there? Oh it's like, oh no,
we're finding a way so the stands don't get snow on.
I'm like, that's it.
Speaker 2 (27:30):
Right, Like, what are we doing? You're you can have
a retractable dome. You're spending two billion dollars.
Speaker 3 (27:37):
Come on, this is America. Just do better, Just do better.
Speaker 1 (27:40):
We deserve better. I mean yeah, as a consumer, we
deserve better.
Speaker 3 (27:43):
We I mean everybody wants more, right, better.
Speaker 2 (27:47):
But my question for you is how do you How
do you train for I've always want to know, like
you do you just like have three hot dogs one day,
the next day have five.
Speaker 3 (27:56):
So it's practice contests, full on simulated contests before every
practice as a cleans. Yeah, going absolutely empty and loose,
and uh, every practice I try to go up a
little bit more than I did last time. So it
takes time to recover.
Speaker 1 (28:09):
Like days are we talking about?
Speaker 3 (28:10):
It takes four days to get back to my normal weight.
Speaker 1 (28:12):
Wow.
Speaker 3 (28:13):
And so that's like eating like super clean like the Greens,
no no car no carbs at all.
Speaker 1 (28:18):
You're like miserable for for those I go.
Speaker 3 (28:22):
I go into it knowing like, all right, I'm gonna
feel like garbage for a couple of days. Yeah, and
that that I'm not eating for fun. I'm meaning to
really win. I want to It's only fun when I
can beat the guys next to me and see them suffers,
Like literally, I'm pushing them to their breaking point.
Speaker 2 (28:38):
So before we started the sub we were just talking
about the first time we met in Las Vegas when
you walked in on on this eating contest I was doing,
and the lady was like trying to chow down this
double whatever, this double double hamburger. I think we had
like two or four of the more it was, and
she got to her limit.
Speaker 1 (28:53):
Was like, no, I could beat you.
Speaker 2 (28:53):
And I was looking in her eyes like sweetheart, you're done,
and she stood up and gave it back up, And
I said that I can imagine competitive eating for real,
and somebody blows chunks and you have to finish.
Speaker 1 (29:04):
Nah, wraps that wraps for me.
Speaker 2 (29:05):
Yeah.
Speaker 3 (29:06):
The smells what like you hear it and there's a
smelling and then then you have to stop and like
just calm down and just go to it.
Speaker 2 (29:13):
Go to your happy place, right, just just go ahead
and just hit my zin.
Speaker 3 (29:17):
Yeah, complete, yeah, you can just yeah, don't pay attention
to what they're doing. Man.
Speaker 2 (29:22):
I appreciate you for tapping into the podcast. Oh, thank
you for having Yeah, man, I know I know you
got to go. I know it's me to row. You
gotta go through I'm giving. I got nothing but the
highest energy and the highest respect for you.
Speaker 3 (29:30):
Oh, thank you so much. Great free to hang out
with you for a little bit, indeed, indeed for the.
Speaker 2 (29:34):
True remat because the first time I was running from
smells and situations.
Speaker 3 (29:38):
Hopefully we'll hit some tequila up later.
Speaker 1 (29:40):
That's what I'm talking about, man again. Now I'm back in.
Speaker 3 (29:43):
It's on
