On the latest Off the Edge with Cam Jordan podcast, Giants pass-rusher, and friend of the show, Kayvon Thibodeaux makes his return. Before they talk football, Kayvon sets the record straight about his Twitter beef with Cam’s former teammate Dez Bryant. The guys then transition to recap the NFC Championship Game and discuss why they say the Eagles pounded an overmatched Washington Commanders team. They then examine the Chiefs win over the Buffalo Bills, and why Patrick Mahomes is inevitable. Later, they preview Super Bowl LIX and discuss which offense and defense has the advantage in the matchup.

The Off the Edge with Cam Jordan podcast is a production of the NFL in partnership with iHeart Media.

Speaker 1 (00:04):
Oh man, I'm super excited because one I'm about to
head off to this D line trip. We're headed across
the land. We're gonna stay in America's though we were
going down to Bracildetto. But anyways, here we are off
the edge of the podcast with me, your host Cam Jordan.
I'm bringing ultimate juice because I'm getting the hell out
of here. Some people lose, some people going to cam Coon.

(00:25):
I'm going to Brazil. You know, I'm gonna take my
l sadly to Rio. But that being said, I'm bringing
into my guy. You know, once a month, Cavon Tibeau
blesses the podcast and we got him. Uh just you know,
I can't say we're happy to be out the playoffs year.

Speaker 2 (00:40):
The happiest podcast we've done. Have we both been losing
all season? Is that what this is?

Speaker 1 (00:45):
Bro? When you when you get losing and you're not
in a happy place. I'm finally, I'm finally like, I'm
loved up. I got my kids that have been loving me.
I've been you know, my parents been loving me. My
girl been loving me. I got you know, my cup
runneth over. I'm I'm My body feels good.

Speaker 2 (00:59):
I love. He just like ran a mile and a
half this morning, and I was like, dang, it feels good. Yeah,
it feels good not to hurt. You do that regularly, probably.

Speaker 1 (01:08):
Probably once a week during season, about anywhere from half
a mile to a mile off season mile minimum.

Speaker 2 (01:14):
Stop it. I stopped it.

Speaker 3 (01:15):
That's just that's just like every every other morning or
once a week.

Speaker 2 (01:18):
You said, yeah, probably like twice a week, you know,
like you know what.

Speaker 1 (01:20):
I'm on the ground. No, Jesus, No, never concrete. I
try and tell like teammates when I see him like
trying to run or whatever, I'm like, get.

Speaker 2 (01:27):
Off the concrete, stay off the slab. No.

Speaker 1 (01:29):
No, I run on grass, bro Like I run. I
go to a park, run on, run on the grass
side at the facility, I'm runna, I'm running across the
double fields that we got in the outside.

Speaker 4 (01:38):
Yeah, I'm definitely.

Speaker 3 (01:39):
Not on concrete.

Speaker 4 (01:41):
Absolutely. You know, why are we here?

Speaker 1 (01:43):
I gotta try and maintain something because I'm eating good now,
I'm drinking well, you know, like again my mind has
already hit a reset. Now I'm already missing football, which
sucks not me.

Speaker 2 (01:52):
I got a little more. I had to go vacation
a couple more times. First, touche toche.

Speaker 1 (01:58):
We got super we got super Bowl week coming up
after this Pro Bowl week. You know who dose to them.
But either way, you know, I'm glad you're here. Broski.

Speaker 2 (02:07):
How you how your body feeling? What are we three
weeks out? Now? Three weeks out? Feels good? Man, My
legs feel good. I'm rehabbing this risk feels you know.
That's that's really most important for the season because it's
hard to rehab during the season, you know, when you
get back in put a cast on it.

Speaker 3 (02:19):
Yeah, really, it ain't really much rehab going on. I'm
just trying to go out there and play as much
as I can.

Speaker 2 (02:23):
So now I got to really focus and you know,
get some time to get back to one hundred percent.

Speaker 4 (02:28):
Right.

Speaker 2 (02:29):
Are you a big lift guy, You're a lifter, You're
a traditional lifter. I'm I'm I'm I'll lift first, right,
So I don't start until after Super Bowl. After Super Bowl,
I'll probably lift and and like you say, run a
little bit for a month then March. Then I'll get
on the field like twice a week come March. Then

(02:49):
I'll start picking up the lift and running conditioning. But
like really. I usually take before OTA is a little
lighter on the running side, in the field side, and
then some time is when I'm really like dogging it,
you know, on the field, trying to preserve these knees
as long as I can.

Speaker 4 (03:05):
No doubt. Yeah, good, good, good knees.

Speaker 1 (03:07):
It was good career, you know, like the first they
say the first thing that goes as you get older
is your feet, And I was like, well, I'm gonna
beat that.

Speaker 4 (03:14):
I'm gonna keep on running, keep on pushing.

Speaker 2 (03:16):
What's your what's your off season? Like, uh, you know,
your get back into it?

Speaker 1 (03:20):
Looked like I won't really get back into it until June,
because but the thing is, I never really get out
of it, you know, like now, like now somewhereround like
year seven, year eight.

Speaker 4 (03:32):
I was like, if you never.

Speaker 1 (03:32):
Fully get out of shape, like if you're always in
some sort of shape, you don't have to like crash,
course crushing.

Speaker 2 (03:38):
So that's what you're thinking, as far as like you
just stay in shape, the technique and all that always
just comes back. You use OTA's for technique and just like,
as long as I'm in shape, I'm good, right, stay.

Speaker 1 (03:48):
In shape, be able to run, be able to you know,
be able to you know, outlast everybody else. And then
once April hits, that's when you start focusing on technique.
That's when you're getting all right, d lion coach, let's
talk about you know what we focusing on. That's when
we start getting the bend back.

Speaker 2 (04:01):
That's way.

Speaker 1 (04:02):
But other than that, it's all straight line or it's
you know, jingle Jangles or you know, suicide type, just
sort of keeping keeping that mentality sharp.

Speaker 4 (04:09):
Like all right, sometimes you got to go out and
push a gas.

Speaker 2 (04:13):
You know who's vicious and I'm just gonna shot him
out because I just thought about it. Armar Ross Saint Brown,
his dad is vicious. But he I remember one time,
you know, he's from California. I remember one time it's
like February and I'm going out jogging. I'm looking and
I'm like, oh, it's some high schoolers running routes and
you just see you just see him out there running routes,
like right after Super Bowl. Like obviously they didn't make

(04:34):
it that ye I think it was my rookie year,
but it was like he's running routes in February against
like kids in the park, you know, high schoolers, college players,
and he's just cooking them. I'm like, yeah, somebody, somebody
got to get this work.

Speaker 3 (04:46):
Yeah, I'm like, bro, it's vicious. I respect it.

Speaker 2 (04:49):
If I was a wide receiver, I feel like that
would be my way too, though.

Speaker 1 (04:52):
Like there, I'd be like Dez Bryant, you know, after
he retired, Sheila asking me you cooking cats.

Speaker 2 (04:57):
He hasn't retired yet, you know, he has not officially.

Speaker 1 (05:01):
Yeah, which leads us into your Twitter beef this week,
which is a perfect transition.

Speaker 2 (05:08):
First, I'm gonna ask you this, why do why don't
players retire? Like that is a players who actually aren't retired,
And I didn't know that.

Speaker 1 (05:15):
Yeah, shout out to my to my my best friend,
you know, mark Ingram the second he's technically hasn't retired,
but he's not coming back. He's happy killing the college circuit,
you know.

Speaker 2 (05:26):
And that's what I was trying to tell. Dav's like, bro, retire,
you ain't coming back. I seen the twenty twenty tight,
It's twenty twenty. I've seen it.

Speaker 1 (05:34):
I got I got the des Bryant Saints Jersey, you know,
when he was with us for a couple weeks before
he thought he was with Baltimore.

Speaker 4 (05:39):
He was, but somewhere in there.

Speaker 1 (05:42):
He was with us for a couple weeks and then
he he popped his achilles man like fresh out of Dallas.
I think he came to us and like probably like
a week and a half in. I had already got
the des Bright jersey.

Speaker 4 (05:53):
Soon as he came.

Speaker 1 (05:54):
I said, yeah X factor me, Yeah, need that. And
then he like, was that practice?

Speaker 4 (06:00):
Bro?

Speaker 1 (06:00):
It was like it was like he wasn't even going
full speed. It was like a Friday practice.

Speaker 2 (06:05):
Just stop, bro, it was game, That's what I'm saying.
Knock on wood. I was like, I was like no, because,
you know, because everybody was everybody from football aside from football,
because I'm a stal because injuries. You know, obviously, God
forbid can't control that. But what is he doing now?
Is he sports betting? Is he commentating? I think he

(06:27):
does everything right. He's he's he's not a he's not
got three jobs mine, He's not a he's not a
business man.

Speaker 4 (06:33):
He's a business man.

Speaker 3 (06:36):
Yeah, like not like man, but like man man.

Speaker 1 (06:39):
Like he got his hands and everything. For a while,
he was like he was like low key an innovator
in the n f T space. He he was like,
you know, he was pushing like a sports betting situation.

Speaker 2 (06:49):
Well, shout out to Daz, no doubt like the legend
legend hate the Cowboys though, to stop speaking on the Giants.
Uh roast battles. Uh, I don't care what I've accomplished.
I will still clown you, roast you. And that goes
out to any anybody who speaks on the team. I'm
want so but much love, much love and respect to
that today's man. You know absolutely, Hey, look I.

Speaker 1 (07:12):
Don't have I don't have those those those beefs because
you know, I clearly go out my way to try
and crap on the Atlanta Falcons every chance I get.

Speaker 2 (07:20):
So I understand that that Giants cowboy ogs have to
act like ogs.

Speaker 3 (07:28):
You can't.

Speaker 2 (07:29):
You can't want to be you can't you want to
be a y n. I can't do that. Sometimes, got
to get off the porch. I'm man, I have my time,
but it's NA. That's my whole smoke on sports commentating.
It's like when you were og and you've done it.

Speaker 1 (07:46):
I don't Hey, if you're if you if you were
that guy, you have every right to talk about you
do what it's that guy you do.

Speaker 2 (07:54):
But it's like why we don't want like it's just like.

Speaker 1 (07:57):
Because greatness, because I would exactly, But that's just it
to the to the common person, to the common fan,
to the regular guy.

Speaker 2 (08:05):
He thinks he knows.

Speaker 1 (08:06):
But if you have a legend or somebody who's playing
in the league for a number of years, I rather
listen to him than a guy who's never played the NFL,
or who only had a training camp invite or who
only went F D, C, B.

Speaker 4 (08:17):
D D S S S conference.

Speaker 2 (08:19):
But it's so hard, like that's that's the thing that
guys don't know. Like, I respect Tom Brady. Tom Brady
does a good job, you know, common and and.

Speaker 4 (08:28):
He gives love to everybody. I hate it he gives love.

Speaker 2 (08:30):
It's just like, yes, it is, and that's that's part
of our job is to be underd Yeah they have
so just like when you lose, hey, hey, when you lose,
you give everybody the reason to get to try and
take a shot at.

Speaker 1 (08:50):
You don't control it, though it doesn't matter. That's part
of the game. He doesn't have a super look. I
get that she was born in two thousands, and you
feel like every everybody. Yes, yes it is. I should
have put the team on my back and dragged. I
should have played office too, not d not dropped the
ball or something. I don't know, Like you know that

(09:10):
always say the more that you can do. So I'm
looking at fourteen years and not have super Bowl and
it hurts.

Speaker 2 (09:15):
So like, are you not a legend? Now? Oh, I'm legendary.
There's nobody.

Speaker 1 (09:19):
There's nobody better than me on the defensive side of
the ball in the Saint's history. But that being said,
I don't have a super Bowl.

Speaker 4 (09:27):
Number two.

Speaker 2 (09:27):
Number two had to go to San Francisco get a
super Bowl. How do you think I feel? How do
you think I feel? I think all the dudes from
twenty twenty two, like George carloftis Yeah. I don't know
who else is on on the Chiefs. I don't really
know him that well, but I'm gonna just use George
because I remember meeting him. He's a great, great guy,
great rusher. Bro got two super Bowls, about to go

(09:49):
try to win his third.

Speaker 4 (09:50):
Three p about to.

Speaker 2 (09:51):
Go try to win his third super Bowl. N I
smelled one playoff game.

Speaker 1 (09:56):
Uh go, if you I'll say, if you look at it.
Mike Evans then of playoffs for his first eight years.
They got Tom Brady, they won a super Bowl.

Speaker 2 (10:06):
He didn't his first eight years. Like that's the world
doesn't understand how hard it is to one have a
successful season and two into the playoffs. Because there was
a team this year that had was that Seattle had
a ten win season and then touched the playoffs. Yeah,
like it's what that good? We beat Seattle ten win season,
We beat him.

Speaker 4 (10:25):
Now ten win season.

Speaker 2 (10:27):
We had three wins and those were one that was Washington,
shout out to shout out. I mean even know we
lost to Washington. I'm sorry, but you know, but yeah,
back to these super bowls, back to the super Bowls. Yeah,
super Bowl, super Bowl, super Bowls for sure.

Speaker 1 (10:41):
A quarterback stat that should not affect any one, like
defensive players le legacy.

Speaker 2 (10:46):
Yeah yeah, I mean a lot of this stuff honestly
is like I don't know. And then okay, okay, let's
let's go Commander's Commanders Eagles. Yeah, Terry McLaurin, when he
got the rock, he took that thing to the crib.

Speaker 3 (11:00):
Jaye Downs is the truth.

Speaker 2 (11:02):
Yeah, he's the truth, And I'm sorry that he had
all those turnovers. Not he, but the team had all
those turnovers. Because you can't win the game with turnovers,
you know, yeah, you can't win it. But the Eagles.
I hate the Eagles. Bro.

Speaker 1 (11:15):
Look, I know, I know, I know it's gonna it's
gonna hurt you for a little bit. But think about this.
Prior to that game, right, there is no one rookie
quarterback that has ever taken his team to a super Bowl.

Speaker 2 (11:25):
And he was on the cusp of it.

Speaker 1 (11:27):
But that being said, I was rooting for the underdogs
and knew that they weren't going to win, and that's
why they Yeah, it was underdog weekend.

Speaker 4 (11:34):
I was front Bills.

Speaker 1 (11:36):
Bills have been four owned four against the Chiefs in
the playoffs, and no rookie quarterback has ever made it
to a super Bowl. So I knew that the deck,
the deck was stacked against both teams, and I was like,
I'm gonna root form anyways, because why it's fun to
root for the underdogs.

Speaker 2 (11:48):
Well, well, so, so if we just start with the Commanders,
I honestly I knew they weren't that good.

Speaker 3 (11:55):
Jamee Downs is that good?

Speaker 2 (11:57):
Right?

Speaker 3 (11:58):
But the Eagles, as if are that good. You know
what I'm saying.

Speaker 2 (12:02):
So like, if it was a one on one him
and Jalen Hurts, I might have took jan Dale's. But
when you look at it from that D line, like
you said, you said one on one A J Brown,
Terry McLaurin, you you could tell you what you could
go either way. But but that D line O line,
I already knew, like what we did to him. Yeah,
I knew the Eagles were it's gonna get active. Yeah,

(12:25):
they didn't have enough Jayleen Carter.

Speaker 4 (12:27):
To turn into a monster.

Speaker 2 (12:28):
Now we knew he was a monster in Georgia, and
we knew because he was Georgia. Some would say he
was sort of like he oh like.

Speaker 1 (12:35):
Georgia boys, D Lineman are normally sort of I'm not
gonna say lazy. I'm just gonna say, don't strain as hard.

Speaker 2 (12:42):
But this second half of the season, Jayalen Carter was
won them once. The only thing I can think about
is when he slapped the hell out of that one
dude open. I like, I wish I was that big,
would I would be slapping every time? Who needs a bro?
Damn a hunk? But he didn't even want to job

(13:03):
if you noticed that was a boxing move.

Speaker 3 (13:04):
He didn't.

Speaker 2 (13:05):
His feet were no longer moving. He just he's like, wait,
did you grab my face mask? Right?

Speaker 1 (13:09):
And the world was like, I can't believe this. This
guy did that? How could he?

Speaker 4 (13:13):
I said, what are you talking about?

Speaker 2 (13:14):
Officer?

Speaker 1 (13:14):
The officer lineman grabbed his face mask, but we don't
see that. And and line play's trench it's trench warfare.

Speaker 2 (13:21):
You have to get the man off. Cleanups all the
clean up state, dude, come on, r up.

Speaker 1 (13:25):
The liman stayed after the whistle, trying to clean people
up off the top man bump him.

Speaker 2 (13:29):
And the fact that it was in between the play. No,
that was good. That was great play.

Speaker 3 (13:32):
That was a great move.

Speaker 4 (13:34):
I said, God, I gotta put that in arsenal. I
was like, I don't like.

Speaker 2 (13:37):
I mean, I don't have that much.

Speaker 1 (13:38):
I don't have that much Torchy, I'm a discous state champion,
but I don't know if that that was first touch.

Speaker 2 (13:46):
Sixty sixty to the crib, sixty to the crib. I'm
not only that's the only person I'm happy for.

Speaker 1 (13:52):
Yeah, like it was impressive, he said, oh I like this,
and he really it was really seventy to the crib
bro Like, yeah, because the really after thirty Yeah, if
you if you go back to the beginning of the play,
he really caught it.

Speaker 2 (14:05):
Like do you look at that edge and just look,
how is that Malata that just like stuffs everybody bang
bang bang ban. Yeah, I think A. J.

Speaker 3 (14:12):
Brown got caught in there.

Speaker 4 (14:13):
Yeah, I'm saying I was.

Speaker 2 (14:14):
He got he got two Washington defenders and and a
uh wide receiver from the Eagles. Bro.

Speaker 1 (14:19):
But also Malata is five hundred pounds, so you can't
let him get on on like an actual movement.

Speaker 2 (14:26):
He was a he was a uh a rugby guy.
And you know, I'm gonna refrain from the word obese
and fat because we're you know, it's a podcast, but
all offensive lineman r. It just is what it is. Uh.

Speaker 1 (14:36):
But yeah, you get a big truck, a semi to
the second level. Yeah, it's gonna get ugly. That's where
you go see highlights.

Speaker 3 (14:43):
Yeah, that's the end of the season. People are kind
of fragile.

Speaker 2 (14:46):
Now.

Speaker 3 (14:47):
It was some business moves made. I've seen the spin.

Speaker 2 (14:50):
I was like, hey, business move and never and nobody's
ever going to own up to it.

Speaker 3 (14:54):
But they gave they gave it the Yeah, yeah.

Speaker 4 (14:58):
Yeah, they're not. They're not gonna throw it out there
either way.

Speaker 3 (15:01):
You know, you know who I'm giving you know who,
I'm giving a big shout out.

Speaker 4 (15:04):
To Frankie Frankie lou And and the way he was
going over the top of people.

Speaker 2 (15:09):
No, okay, number I'm not even I'm not even giving
that one because that that was that was like I
appreciate that. I appreciate that, bro. But the way he
was anticipating the snap right right, and that's that's one
he knocked the ball out.

Speaker 4 (15:27):
You know what about them?

Speaker 2 (15:29):
They stopped that team at least three times, right, the
only thing I'm mad about. And we got to change
the rule. There's no way that Like it's one of
those loopholes, bro, you just gotta change. You gotta figure out,
because there's way you're gonna give him a touchdown. And
it's like, you guys already know we have no chance
to stop this place, so we're giving it all that

(15:49):
we got and then it's just like, oh, they're just
gonna keep hard counting us until we sit back and
they just pile drivers to the end zone.

Speaker 1 (15:55):
Like yeah, they're like no, I'm not like I have
to be able to jump this because think about this,
Oh no, I jump off sides. It's half the distance
to the goal line.

Speaker 2 (16:02):
I'm gonna do it every.

Speaker 3 (16:03):
Time, every need. That's the only way, that's the only
chance I have.

Speaker 2 (16:07):
Jalen Hurts is darn near and like the probably a
dude behind him is sitting there like what what are
you doing? Bro? Play football? And you just see he
gets stopped and then somebody just grabs his button pushes
him in like bro, what what come on?

Speaker 3 (16:22):
Bro?

Speaker 2 (16:23):
Yeah? I mean we' well we stopped it. But it
wasn't with Jalen Hurts.

Speaker 1 (16:27):
It was with Gardner Minshoe at the thing and I say, yeah,
it's not any other quarterback, it's Jalen Hurts because you
know he squats six hundred and he gets low. Yeah
the next, yeah, next, that was last year, two years ago, whatever.

Speaker 2 (16:41):
It was Bill's Chiefs. I didn't want to watch that game.
I'm be honest. I wasn't even excited about that game.
I'll just I'll just throw that out there. I was
not excited, Like I forgot it started.

Speaker 3 (16:52):
I was like Bill's Chiefs, she's gonna win, She's gonna win.

Speaker 4 (16:55):
Yeah, I'm not gonna. I'm not gonna lie to you.

Speaker 2 (16:57):
I think uh.

Speaker 1 (16:59):
I was like watching from the side of the fam
was out there bowling, and I was like, They're like,
you're not gonna, You're not locked into this game. I
was like, no, I was excited about the NFC Championship
game because I got excited. I was like, I think
it could go either way this AFC. I said, Yo,
the Bills are owing for and although I shall root
for the Bills, I don't see this happening.

Speaker 2 (17:17):
The person who I give the most credit to that
game is Chris Jones. I think it's Chris Jones. Not
because of all of the pressures, not because of anything
that he did well, just for the prime fact that
on that fourth down he stood right in front.

Speaker 3 (17:35):
Of the ref.

Speaker 2 (17:35):
I think that was him. He said, right in front
of the ref that made the call that it was short.
The ref could not see yep, there you go. That
ref behind him could not see where that ball is
at all. That was the perfect move and he didn't
even know he did it.

Speaker 4 (17:54):
Yeah, I'm yeah.

Speaker 1 (17:55):
I'm like, I'm like, you know what. I don't think
he got it anyways, because they switched angles and looked
at it, and I say, you know what, if it's close,
it's not in.

Speaker 3 (18:04):
You can't leave it up to rivs. He got it
right there, he got it.

Speaker 2 (18:06):
No he didn't.

Speaker 4 (18:06):
No he didn't. You don't know where the ball's at.
No he didn't.

Speaker 2 (18:09):
Yeah, and that's what side. Look at Chris Jones just
watching it from the way, Yes, in a way, and
you can't ref can't see. Hey, if the world wants
to be upset over over over that, guess what. It's
a game of inches. He didn't get it, and if
he did get it, he should have got it by
a larger margin. Yeah, I'm happy for the defense. I'm

(18:32):
just mad that it's the chief.

Speaker 1 (18:34):
I mean, but let's talk about the final play, the
one where Josh Allen didn't pick up the blitz and
the world is the world is upset at and like, oh,
like you know it's a receiver's fault.

Speaker 2 (18:44):
There was there was an eight man front on a
heavy loaded left like you knew where.

Speaker 4 (18:49):
It's coming from.

Speaker 2 (18:50):
You had the All twenty two version because the guard
slapping slapping that the butt for the for the the
hike is ridiculous. I mean, let three guys run past,
no doubt, no.

Speaker 1 (19:00):
No, I mean you go on silent count, so you're
trying to get it whatever, at least go on too.
You go off the first one, and like I said,
there's it's a heavily loaded front on the left side,
and you don't pick up like two people.

Speaker 3 (19:13):
You like two free that's a great play.

Speaker 2 (19:16):
And he rolled like yeah, hey, why would you roll
to the blitz?

Speaker 1 (19:19):
Like why wouldn't you roll away from? But I mean
I get it, I get it. They were like, yo,
Josh Allen can do it, and he can me.

Speaker 2 (19:27):
I knew, and that like that's where personality comes in
right like to me, And this is my personal opinion.
That's why I don't like sports commenting because I'm gonna
give an opinion and people aren' gonna like it. But
who cares Josh Allen Because he's a superhero, he probably
didn't go through all of the necessary moments to check

(19:48):
if that was If that was somebody of lesser caliber,
they would have went through every check to make sure
they picked up the blitz. They did this, they did that,
they knew exactly where to go. But because Josh is
the superhero, he's like, you know what, hike, let's go.
I can make this happen.

Speaker 1 (20:04):
The only reason I'm gonna say cap is because I
saw your former quarterback not make those checks on the
same type of blitz.

Speaker 2 (20:12):
Hold on, hold on, see stand business for your guy
that he's not he's no longer a guy.

Speaker 3 (20:20):
He's with the Minnesota Minnesota Vikings. See you got a
good point.

Speaker 4 (20:29):
OK, that's all I want to say.

Speaker 1 (20:30):
Yeah, that's you know, like sometimes sometimes when you're in
the zone and you're like, I need to make this play.
I need to make this play, sometimes you miss things.

Speaker 2 (20:38):
That that's fair. Yes, fair. I've never played quarterbacks so
and I've never wanted to, but I'll tell you this.
I played Madden and I would listen to all our
blitzed just like the Chiefs. I would have to he
gonna have you was gonna have one second to make
a play? No, No, I definite would audible and had
had my Z running a quick slant route, so just
case I that's the part that's irritating about the Chiefs

(20:58):
because if you would have did that the Petch Homes,
he would have did exactly what he did on his
third down.

Speaker 3 (21:04):
Throw it right to the running back. Game over.

Speaker 2 (21:06):
And it's just like Bro and you got Pacheco out
there high stepping. That was not Peo, that was Pete Ryan.
I think that was saying, no, d run somebody over
later though, or he did. Bro, Yeah, I saw that
that hurt. I watched Pacheco and I'm just like, how
do we let him get loose like this? He takes
seventy five high steps to go five yards. It's impressive.

(21:26):
It's impressive. Shout out to go back to the Eagles game.
I'm so mad at that late hit they gave him.

Speaker 4 (21:33):
Which one?

Speaker 1 (21:34):
I just oh, yeah, you talk about one on Sa
Kuan where the rookie cornerback was stepping up and to hit.

Speaker 4 (21:41):
Kuan Kuan over.

Speaker 2 (21:43):
He runs over, He jukes people, He runs people over,
and he's not he the foot hasn't even landed out
of bounds yet.

Speaker 4 (21:50):
I don't care. I don't care.

Speaker 1 (21:51):
If he's headed towards out of bounds, he hasn't landed.
If my launch point is before he takes he lands
and out of bounds. Bro, You've seen quarterbacks and running
backs both use it to their advantage. They like make
a b line slow bout step you over right, Like,
come on, you can't weaponize the sideline.

Speaker 3 (22:09):
We gotta fix this, bro, we gotta fix this.

Speaker 4 (22:11):
There's no fixing it. And you know what, this is
the offensive.

Speaker 1 (22:13):
The league is here for all simates of points, offensive highlights,
and for some reason we're collateral damage.

Speaker 2 (22:19):
And it's like, if you don't have a quarterback that
can go score with one timeout and forty seconds on
the clock, you never have a chance because it's like,
as a defender, bro, I'm literally giving my life for
this last play, right.

Speaker 1 (22:32):
It's it's frustrating. Yeah, I mean that's the controversy of
playing defense. You gotta fight targeting. You gotta fight late hits,
you gotta fight what's the rough and the passer. You
gotta fight you know, the guys running towards the sideline
and user the sideline to their advantage and on office side,
and then you.

Speaker 3 (22:51):
Gotta fight hurry up offense.

Speaker 2 (22:53):
Right after all of that, then they can just hurry
up in your gas and now it's no sub and
now it's like all right, absolutely they can take advantage
of you.

Speaker 4 (22:59):
I feel bad.

Speaker 1 (23:00):
I feel bad for DB's there's there's so many ways
they're getting they're getting their game inflicted upon. Yeah, be
fighting with the bride receiver for five yards and Rice
even give you that fight a push, bro.

Speaker 2 (23:12):
Then he got the flag when his helmet came off
of A J.

Speaker 3 (23:14):
Brown Like, Bro, my god, I was smart.

Speaker 2 (23:17):
I said he was smart. Smart.

Speaker 3 (23:19):
That was a good one that I thought.

Speaker 2 (23:20):
That was solid, right, just hold them solid.

Speaker 1 (23:22):
Marsh Marshawn Latimore A J. Brown get into it and
like a J. Jackson like twice and I'm like, all right, well,
Marshawn's got to fight back, and he does and then
and then instead of dumping on, Marshawn just holds him
and like it's a drive and they throw a flag
and I'm like what, I'm like, yo, let him play
at that point because there was like nothing's really gone
too out of whack yet, I was like, and they
both understood, all right, we got a chill, but Marshawn

(23:46):
wasn't the actual aggressor and A J.

Speaker 4 (23:48):
Brown didn't take it too far.

Speaker 2 (23:49):
I'm gonna I'm gonna be honest. They need to have
every flag in the fourth quarter be reviewed like that.

Speaker 4 (23:57):
That is make the game fair.

Speaker 2 (24:00):
Every flag gotta be reviewed, bro, because we can't you
can't just keep they just throw flaggers done and we
can do about it, and then you see on the
highlights like oh it really was, like come on, bros.
Too much money online, too much pride, too much blood,
sweat and tears online for it to just be decided
about the rest and then the ref. Then the ref's like, oh,
if it happens again, it's up to me. When he
said that, I know everybody was confused, like what we mean,

(24:22):
It's just up to you.

Speaker 1 (24:24):
At some point, I just want to, like, over the
years where I've had discrepancies with the guys in black
and white stripers, I've thought about creating a fund to
get better glasses, and that's not it. At some of
these egregious, outrageous calls, I'm like, yo, can we set
up a charity match, like just a charity boxing match?

(24:44):
Like you, I feel like you got one over on
me on purpose, and like you have to run me
the ones and maybe I'll wait till I'm retired to
do this.

Speaker 2 (24:51):
I wouldn't say there is value though, like because you
know there's all people always talk about the like using
my computers or using science or using technology to who
like right the wrongs of the referees. I think there
is some type of validity to human error. Yeah, you know,
like that's that's a part of sports. Like, you know,

(25:13):
reff ain't gonna make every call, and sometimes you value
a ref's judgment, you know, like sometimes you know, play
an get every foul, you ain't gonna get every whatever,
Like just play through it.

Speaker 4 (25:24):
I'm on that.

Speaker 2 (25:25):
I'm all about letting them play, but let them play
both both like that. If I was a ref, I
would look at guys like I gave the last one.
I can't give this one, you know, like I can't
give you this one.

Speaker 1 (25:37):
You want to be a ref of the game, Like,
I'm gonna tell them straight up, Hey, y'all unless it's agregious,
I ain't.

Speaker 2 (25:42):
I'm gonna telling you from the jump. I'm gonna be
the ref that I'm gonna call you'll off from the jump. Listen,
y'all gonna play. We're not We're not here for all that.

Speaker 1 (25:50):
Hey, I'm like this, I'm like that five yards is
really six yards, so just be ready. I'm like yo, Like,
if y'all fight at the point of attack, just be ready.
And for the D line offensive line. I'm not calling
any hands to the face. No, you like this, Hey,
y'all go after.

Speaker 2 (26:05):
Less absolutely unless unless I see you ragged on them.

Speaker 1 (26:09):
But like Miss Lady, is like long arm that slides
up or a guard punching out and it catches the
defensive line face.

Speaker 4 (26:16):
It's part of the game.

Speaker 1 (26:17):
You're coming from a three or four point stance and
you're going elevating up and a guard is punching out.

Speaker 2 (26:22):
It's I didn't had my I done, had my whole
orbital orbital bone.

Speaker 4 (26:28):
Just from that, and I played. I played the whole
game just like that. To close the eye.

Speaker 2 (26:33):
I was like, it happens. It's football. It's I love
it because it's football. It's like the last real glady
gladiators type sport and you have to embrace that gladiator
warrior mentality unless you know the game is safe, unless
you don't wait who you got winning the game? This?
This uh this super Bowl super Bowl fifty nine repeat

(26:54):
or New and New Taylor Swift Voodoo gotta go three
p Bro gotta go to rep unless unless Bro, how did.

Speaker 4 (27:04):
Their wide receiver cord get that filthy worthy? Somehow d hop.

Speaker 3 (27:11):
They having d hop on ice. They're waiting to put
hop out this.

Speaker 4 (27:14):
Game prime time?

Speaker 2 (27:16):
Like how you got Hollywood Brown over there too late?
When did y'all get nasty like that? If I'm being
honest and I'm looking at Chiefs Eagles, the Eagles gotta
blow them out.

Speaker 3 (27:31):
If it's close, it's no hope. The Eagles gotta dominate
up front.

Speaker 2 (27:38):
I have to. And I'm not talking about the Eagles
D line. I'm talking about that O line. And I
know that center's out. Okay, that center's out, So you
don't put six hands on Chris Jones.

Speaker 1 (27:52):
I'm saying, I gotta, I gotta go after Chris Jones,
Gotta go after Carl Loftus and then you can you
can like fight it out with mina who who Who are.

Speaker 4 (28:00):
Getting the edge too defensively? Eagles or Chiefs.

Speaker 2 (28:04):
I'm giving it to man. I think it might be
neck and neck. Chris Jones makes it next and net
like I like Jalen Carter. I think Jalen Carter is
a great player. But because Eagles offensive line is dinged up,
I'm given that advantage to the Chiefs. If the Chiefs

(28:25):
have a have a have a solid offensive line. I
think Patrick Mahon secondary versus Eagles secondary. I watched I've
seen I've seen I've seen a lot of of Gardner Johnson,
I've seen a lot of Sleigh.

Speaker 3 (28:38):
I've seen a lot of of all of them. I'm
not sold I like them.

Speaker 2 (28:43):
They're nice, they made it. They're the coldest who I'm
really sold on. The Eagles have that advantage in that
back of room.

Speaker 1 (28:49):
Bond Zachary Bond with Wisconsin product, former teammate Zach.

Speaker 3 (28:54):
That's got that advantage.

Speaker 2 (28:55):
So if he plays how he been playing all Pro,
He's he He's he's gonna he's gonna set that game.
He's gonna set that game on fire.

Speaker 4 (29:04):
That's what I'm saying.

Speaker 1 (29:04):
I don't think they're that even because I think they
do have you know, they've they've got the in term
the D line, they have enough to be even that way,
which I'd still tilt towards the Chiefs with Chris Jones
because he's just one of the best, yea.

Speaker 4 (29:18):
The edge edges.

Speaker 2 (29:19):
I might even give the edge to the Eagles, but
again because of Chris Jones, Noah Smith, NOA Smith been
bawling right, sweat sweats like that, Sweats like that. I
I if, in my personal opinion, they they Josh Allen
gave them not Josh Allen. Sorry, the commanders gave them

(29:40):
more than they deserved. That's my personal opinion. The Commander's
O line is not that good, and I knew they
were gonna take advantage, but I think Chiefs O line
is gonna shut down.

Speaker 3 (29:52):
They have a better chance shutting down the Eagles D line.
Then the Eagles O line has a chance to shutting
down the Chiefs.

Speaker 1 (30:01):
Agree to disagree, but so you're gonna get. You're gonna
give adds to Chiefs defense, Eagle Eagles. Eagles defense, their
their secondary and linebackers. I think it's just better than
Chiefs defense.

Speaker 2 (30:11):
They are. I agree with that. But the thing is,
I don't think that Jalen Hurts has the surefire. Like
I said, one minute, one time out, go score touchdown.
It's gotta be it's gotta be methodical for sure. Got
to be methodical. And then when it comes to and
if it's you know, close at the end of the game,

(30:32):
I don't think they can do it. It's just you know,
because then what your best player is Saquan and it's
like if you got a minute left, you can't run it.

Speaker 4 (30:39):
Yes you can. He took sixty he took one sixty
three to the crib.

Speaker 2 (30:43):
Last movie.

Speaker 3 (30:44):
Yeah, this is Super Bowl, Bro, They're gonna win.

Speaker 2 (30:47):
That was that they're gonna test them out early, and
you gotta give them twenty five touches. Though I do
agree you gotta give them. You gotta give had ten
touches last game, but in the first half here like
man like bro, that's the Manders, all right, So so offensively,
who you giving them? Not to c having a question

(31:08):
Kansas City, Bro, they've won every game, not every game,
but they've won higher many games by one. I can't
give you wide receiver verse wide receiver because A J. Brown,
I'm not giving you that.

Speaker 1 (31:16):
We know, we know that running back right back, You're
you're gonna say, just so, you say Jalen hurts versus
Pat Mahomes and you're so you're saying Pat Mahomes is really.

Speaker 2 (31:26):
Man, Pat Mahons mahons. This is what I'm saying. Pat
Mahons is Steph Curry, and uh, Jalen hurts his Luka Doncic.
Not even Jalen hurts his Lebron right now?

Speaker 4 (31:41):
Oh wait, you're gonna put forty old Lebron Lebron is Duncan.

Speaker 3 (31:44):
That's nice.

Speaker 2 (31:45):
I'm not nice, Okay, nice nice, He's nice.

Speaker 3 (31:49):
He's just not win it right now without having a D.

Speaker 2 (31:53):
And you know what I'm saying, you need Bron ain't.

Speaker 3 (31:55):
He ain't old Lebron No more.

Speaker 4 (31:57):
Right, he's not.

Speaker 1 (31:57):
He's not thirty thirty five and younger brown. He's forty one. Yeah,
you know, give you a forty forty ball.

Speaker 3 (32:04):
He needs some.

Speaker 4 (32:05):
He needs some, and you got mahomes is Steph Curry
and the Olympics gold medal game.

Speaker 2 (32:10):
Mahons is throwing it up to itself.

Speaker 4 (32:12):
My home's putting people to sleep.

Speaker 1 (32:14):
You know what I'm saying, I hate like I hate
and love the celebration because I jumped off the badwagon
when the wars with Steph Curry. So I'm internally conflicted.

Speaker 2 (32:22):
But that is just like there's nobody and even you
go back to the quarterback conversation, it's like, yeah, you
love Lamar, Yeah you love you know, Josh Allen, you
love whoever else. But it's like bro Proven Championship. It's
like it's like Tom Brady in the early twenty tens.
You know he's got how can you make your players

(32:45):
make the shot? There's something about Patrick mahoons that makes
his players catch the ball. Why are no other Why
aren't these other players catching the ball? It's not the players,
it's the quarterbacks. That's just my opinion. Whatever something about
his ball that just make it.

Speaker 4 (32:58):
Catches, whatever velocity, touch, whatever you would to call it.

Speaker 2 (33:01):
Voodoo.

Speaker 4 (33:02):
Who dooo that boy?

Speaker 1 (33:03):
Everybody trying and bring Pat Mahomes down from his outer
circle and not the hill like that's then the.

Speaker 2 (33:08):
And then the fourth down right like that fourth down situation.
The Chiefs, in my opinion, they're not going. They're not
if that was them when they played the Bills and
they were in that fourth down situation and not the
fourth and five, the fourth and one. I don't think
they're keep be sneaking it. I think he's good enough
to just do something else and just get it free.
So it's just like for some reason he knows how

(33:29):
to do it the right way where the person he
thinks is going to be open is open.

Speaker 4 (33:34):
Facts.

Speaker 2 (33:35):
I don't know.

Speaker 4 (33:35):
I don't know what he's studying or how he gets
it done.

Speaker 2 (33:37):
There was one play, there was one play that had
him in the pocket and he's like, oh my god,
oh my god, oh my god, up wide open here you.

Speaker 1 (33:42):
Go, but like with a lob shot, and it's just like, yeah,
I seen I seen him make these left handed tosses,
the no lookers.

Speaker 4 (33:53):
Whatever it is.

Speaker 2 (33:56):
It is. And the only thing I'll say that that
wasn't mentioned about the Chiefs secondary, I think they are
more disciplined than the ego secondary.

Speaker 3 (34:07):
That is the only thing that I'll give them.

Speaker 2 (34:10):
Like they got two per dison over there, bro, I'm
not they don't have the talent. They don't. I don't
think they have the raw talent and the skills like
the Eagles do obviously with you know C. J. Gardner
Johnson with all you know, with absolutely top guys. But
when you have top guys.

Speaker 4 (34:30):
Plays sometimes they take risks.

Speaker 2 (34:32):
They take risks, and you live by the sword, you
die by the sword. And can City is just a
nice blanket. Ain't getting out of discoverage. They're gonna be
right where they're supposed to be. Steve spat Google got
them dialed in and dialed up the job. Job. That's it,
all right? So you got Can't City me too? Yeah,
I mean I got I got Sakwan.

Speaker 3 (34:53):
But I think the Eagles gonna lose.

Speaker 2 (34:54):
I'm just gonna root. Is that a division bias there
that you want you want? Yeah?

Speaker 3 (35:01):
Yeah, the Eagles, they you know, I want them to lose.
I want them to keep losing until we win.

Speaker 2 (35:06):
Mm hmm.

Speaker 4 (35:08):
I see what you did there.

Speaker 2 (35:09):
You know what I'm saying, what you.

Speaker 3 (35:10):
Do, just like I can't let them get a Super
Bowl before we beat them.

Speaker 2 (35:14):
Okay.

Speaker 1 (35:15):
I think if this is the year, they're gonna win one.
This is their year, this is this is I'm a
I'm a root for NFC before I'm a root for AFC.

Speaker 3 (35:25):
So you say, you you you you want them to
get that that.

Speaker 1 (35:28):
Yeah, if Philly wins, it's they're gonna have to win
by ten because if it's close, if it's a close
one two point difference, chiefs are pulling.

Speaker 2 (35:36):
That out, pulling out.

Speaker 4 (35:37):
Yeah, are you coming, You're coming down to Nola super
Bowl week?

Speaker 3 (35:41):
Yep, I'll be there. I'm coming to your house too.
I know you got a match on matches out there.

Speaker 4 (35:46):
I'm downtown right now at the condo.

Speaker 2 (35:49):
Bro.

Speaker 1 (35:49):
I'm you know, I got i gotta stock. I'm gonna
have a stock power with some liquor and you know,
some some goodies and whatever. You know, I'm gonna have snack.
I'm gonna have the snack cabinet, right.

Speaker 2 (35:58):
So, man, I got some crazy easy information about the Noya,
which is crazy, not really crazy, but personal information.

Speaker 3 (36:04):
Yeah, just found out you're Thibodaux.

Speaker 2 (36:06):
You're from there, Thibodeaux. Now I've been to that, right,
But I never knew my history, right, I knew I'm
a descending of slavery. My great great great great great
grandfather was a Frenchman, Julian Andre Thibodeau, slave owner, biggest slave,
I think it was. It's called Terrence, something like Terrence Torrance,
something like that. Whatever, But long story short, he fell
in love with a slave, and that's how I became

(36:28):
a Thibodeaux. Oh and I'm here, so definitely gonna go
to Louisiana and kind of gonna go find the rest
of the thibodausb you go buy up some land.

Speaker 4 (36:37):
White man fall in love with a black woman.

Speaker 2 (36:39):
It's not that crazy, not that crazy at all. Yeah.
So yeah, I'm definitely gonna go try to get reparations
and see if you should see if I'm entitled to
some land down there.

Speaker 4 (36:49):
You know, which one of these plots is my plot?

Speaker 2 (36:53):
Yeah? All right?

Speaker 3 (36:54):
Which you going to you people are my great great, great,
great great great great caretaker.

Speaker 4 (37:00):
You hell for that one.

Speaker 1 (37:01):
Will anyways, I appreciate you for tapping in. Hey, do

Camp Jordan Foundation.

Speaker 2 (37:27):

I definitely want to be be a part of that.
