Do you believe in the luck of the Irish? Or perhaps the luck that comes from finding a four-leaf clover? It is said that four leaf clovers stand for faith, hope, love, and luck. It is believed that if you happen to find a four-leaf clover it will bring you good fortune. Do you believe in luck?

I encourage you to look and see how you can serve someone else. Maybe you mow someone’s yard, shovel the snow from someone’s walkway, take out and put away someone’s trash cans, make and serve a meal to a family in need. As you already know, this list could go on and on. In whatever way you choose to serve, know that you are helping to make our world a better place. How cool is that!!!

At the very core of “Keep the Faith” it encourages the preservation of hope and conviction when confronted with adversity. For me, it taps into my beliefs, values, and aspirations. It encourages me to persevere when the journey becomes tough. Keeping the faith is like a guiding light for me in those times of uncertainty and doubt. It lights the way for me when I need that confidence to overcome my life’s obstacles.
I encourage everyone to take a few moments to thank those everyday heroes that you encounter each day. It costs you nothing except for a few seconds of time, and it is priceless what you are doing for the person. You are validating them! We all want and need to be validated. As an educator, when I would receive a note, letter, email or verbal compliment from a parent, student, administrator, or other staff member. It was like givin...
For some of us we may view rest as a weakness, when in reality, when we take a “time out” and we rest, we think better, feel better and do better. I am reminded that rest is a way to reward yourself for all the incredible things you do year-round. Be gentle and be good to yourself. The rest you take now will prepare you for the busy days ahead.

This week’s topic is about “hope and faith”. A great quote that explains it is “hope is the ability to hear the melody of the future. Fatih is the courage to dance to it today.” Unknown. All of us at some point in our lives have hope and faith in finding someone special. That special someone we will love and who will in return love us. I believe it is part of human nature to embrace hope and faith. It is part of our resilience.
In this special episode, three independent travel agents—Amy from Oklahoma, Tammy from Ohio, and Shelley from Ilinois—met through their shared passion for exploring the world. Though from different states, the travel industry brought them together, forging a powerful friendship built on support and vision. What began as casual Facebook Live sessions evolved into something bigger: a new podcast called Globetrotting Trio. With authen...
As I got older, the term “Good Grief” no longer was a term of exasperation like it was from Charlie Brown. In fact, I began to see it as an oxymoron. At the age of “13” I experienced the first death of a loved one, my great grandmother. I loved her very much and was extremely upset when she passed away. My parents did a wonderful job, talking with me about death, the love and loss I was feeling, and it was ok to be sad. As the yea...
Here’s to new beginnings! Many of you might be thinking “what is she talking about?” I want you to know and be ready to step into a new chapter of life and when that time comes know it’s ok to embrace the promise of new beginnings. Many of us see the start of a new year as an opportunity to reset, refresh and renew us mentally, physically, socially, and spiritually. However, due to unforeseen circumstances in our lives or changes ...
Most of our traditions and rituals take place during holidays. This has led me to wonder what is the difference between a “tradition” and a “ritual”?
Here is what I learned from differencebetween.com: “Tradition is a generic term that encompasses a wide variety of things and concepts that are handed down by one generation to another. A ritual is an act or series of acts that are performed or observed in a society on occasions, even...
My intention for this week’s podcast and each week’s podcast is to remind you of what an amazing and incredible person you are! My intention each week is to also remind you that life is full of possibilities and opportunities if you are willing to be open to it all. My intention is for you to live a life full of passion and purpose. Live a life that has meaning, live a life that not only makes you happy but in return brings happine...
For this week’s topic, I knew what I wanted to talk about and share. I just didn’t know what to title it??? Of course, my first thought was the saying “you can’t teach an old dog new tricks” knowing that I would be sharing just the opposite of that saying. So, I thought I’ll experiment with “Chat GPT” and see what kind of a title they suggest if I put in “teaching an old dog new tricks”. Here is the suggestion it gave me:
“Title: ...
What is Happiness? According to Declutter the Mind: “Happiness is a positive emotional state. It’s a state that people strive to experience to achieve well-being, peace, and contentment in their life.” In a world often filled with challenges and uncertainties, it’s easy to lose sight of the importance of happiness. However, it’s essential to remember that happiness matters, and it can be a powerful force that motivates and inspires...
It’s another week to be grateful and thankful! Since this week’s podcast is titled “Circle of Life,” I just couldn’t resist starting out with saying “Hakuna Matata!” For those of you who have seen Disney’s animated movie, “The Lion King”, you know just what I’m talking about. 😉 In the African language of Swahili, “Hakuna Matata” means “no trouble” or “no problems”. As we all know, life has its ups and downs. It’s all a part of th...
Ten weeks ago, I did an episode where I told you about one of my advisors, mentors, colleagues, friends and my sister from another mister Pam Allor. Through the years I have learned so many incredible things from Pam - from teaching and coaching to living life to the fullest. Two of the things that have been a constant learning experience since first meeting Pam has been “happies” and “Practice Random Acts of Kindness!” She has tau...
As I have said before, I am very blessed to have some incredible people in my life. One of those amazing people is my BFF for the past “37” years Sue Conner. As I like to say…” She is the Queen of Everything! I am the Princess of quite a lot!” Something that has always been great about our friendship is we balance each other. I can come up with an idea and Sue knows ways to create it. That is just one example of our “great balancin...
Over the past year and a half, I have had the honor and privilege to interview “58” people for my podcast: “Rediscovering your Passion and Purpose with Patti”!!! WOW!!!!! What a blessing it has been to meet and talk with these amazing and incredible people! I have titled this week’s episode simply, “Inspirational and Motivational”. Why? Because every guest I’ve had the pleasure of interviewing is just that!!!

One of my podcast guests was telling me part of her story. A big part of it was about her love for her dog. Sadly, she watched her dog get hit by a car and her beloved fur baby passed away in her arms. As she shared about her love for her dog and the unconditional love she received from her dog, I found myself tearing up and could relate totally with what she experienced and has experienced since. I sat quietly listening until she ...
I am a firm believer that God brings people in and out of our life for specific seasons and reasons! No matter when these special individuals have become a part of my journey, God placed them there for a specific purpose. Those special individuals that God has placed on my life’s journey have inspired me, they motivated me, they encouraged me, they supported me, and they cared for me! And I am blessed to say that many of them stil...
We are talking this week about enjoying the journey! Part of enjoying the journey is about seeing things differently. When we choose to get out of our “bubble” we begin to see people, places, and things differently. It’s about expanding our horizons. Each time I travel and have a new adventure; it’s like my eyes are wide open with all the newness that surrounds me. Now I’m sure some of you are thinking that to have an adventure you...
