Speaker 1 (00:00):
Matt Cases back in the Kfab studios. How did I
sound on the road there, Matt that it? Did it
sound like I was doing a radio show or if
you if you were and I were just you know,
chatting like like like you like boys.
Speaker 2 (00:12):
Yeah, I think it sounded okay. Your your connection was
a little bit spottier than last time, so.
Speaker 1 (00:21):
It took the exact same route. How's that possible?
Speaker 2 (00:23):
I don't know.
Speaker 1 (00:24):
You know, maybe if there's one thing that I knew
I could trust, it was our cell phone connection. Am
I right? Our cell phone companies? We should, we should
we can trust them? Right?
Speaker 2 (00:34):
Well? No, maybe, I think except every once in a
while when we can't at all and then we have
service for a multiple days.
Speaker 1 (00:41):
Yeah yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah. Yeah. That's not great. That's
not great. All right, fair enough, fair enough on that. Well,
I'm glad that it worked good enough for us to
get through that, and it was a lot of fun.
I am looking at a couple of screens where where
I'm at Refs? Why am I at Refs? Well, I'm
at Refs because there's a big vice presidential debate which
(01:02):
we will do full previewing of. Matt and I will
play fantasy press conference ball, except it's going to be
a fantasy debate ball this time around, right, So you know,
we'll kind of do some of that, and I'll get
some prop bets up for us to discuss about this,
which is always fun. And on top of that, we
(01:22):
are here because we're doing a little watch party, all right.
You come here, you eat and drink food and beverages.
You're going to have a good time reacting to the
audio of the debate, and we'll make sure that that
is the way that things go down, as it was
the last couple of debates that we've had these awesome
(01:43):
watch parties, so it'll be a lot of fun. Matt Case,
I'm looking at a couple of screens while I'm here
at Revsports Barring Row with two different baseball games on it.
Are you paying attention to this?
Speaker 2 (01:54):
I'm checking those scores. Now, how's Detroit looking?
Speaker 1 (01:57):
Well, we are in the top of the ninth, Tigers
leading three to nothing, still runner on third for them
with two outs, beautiful, and then Houston will have three
outs at the bottom of the ninth to try to
tie the game. The Detroit Tigers America's team is that
(02:17):
would we say that at this point. Yeah, yeah, that
crazy run that they went on to get into the playoffs.
I mean, it's about as cool of a story as
there possibly could be. And I don't know anybody who's
not rooting for them against Houston especially. Oh and I'm
watching the Astros or sorry, I'm watching the Royals and
(02:39):
the Baltimore Orioles as well on a separate screen. And
fifth inning runner on second base for the O's. That's
game is scoreless though about halfway through. So hey, you know,
pitching and defense, that's what wins you at ball games
in October? Am I right? And it is October? So
there you go. What do you think, Matt uh vice
(03:04):
presidential debate versus presidential debate? What percentage of the audience
is going to tune in this time that tuned in
last time? Like it was about eighty million or so
that they said across all platforms, Uh, eighty million would
have been one hundred in this scenario? Is one hundred percent?
(03:26):
In like ten percent is eight million? If you're picking
up what I put it down, What do you think?
What number? What number here?
Speaker 2 (03:35):
Well? I kind of want to do some googling to
look at what the previous ones did.
Speaker 1 (03:40):
But going into the no, no, no, that's cheating. Okay,
I'm going into this completely blind. I'll say eighteen million,
eighteen million. Yeah, so that's like twenty three twenty three
percent of the audience has got to be more than that,
now you think, I mean, it's it's not going to
(04:01):
be the same, it's not going to be as high
for sure. I was thinking maybe like sixty to sixty
five percent. I was thinking maybe more like the fifty
to fifty five million range.
Speaker 2 (04:12):
Well, I think you're probably closer to that because I'm
seeing here the twenty twenty president, the twenty.
Speaker 1 (04:19):
Twenty vice president.
Speaker 2 (04:21):
Oh that's hold on, I think that's the president numbers.
Hold on, let me just yeah.
Speaker 1 (04:26):
Yeah.
Speaker 2 (04:26):
The vice president was estimated twenty two million. Actually, okay,
oh so you you're close. In twenty twenty, the presidential
debate was fifty seven point nine and the vice president
was twenty.
Speaker 1 (04:37):
Two all right, and this year was presidential was you know,
some somewhere around the eighty mark. Right, So you can
do the math, that'll probably be closer to like forty
or so. If that pattern continues. Baseball playoffs going to
play a factor in this, you think people are going
to be interested in watching baseball playoffs instead of the NXT.
(05:01):
Wrestling is on the CW now, so that's going to
be going on. I think this evening. You think those
are going to impact the numbers. I'm sure there's a
sitcom or something going on too, it'll impact it Family
Guy reruns, right, I don't know. I'm kind of struggling
(05:23):
mentally here before I talk about this because I think
it's important, and I know a lot of people have
like reached out and said, Hey, the reason it's important
is specifically because Donald Trump's age and also the chance
that he gets taken out by somebody like who's going
to take over the presidency at that point. And the
answer to that question is JD. Vance in that scenario,
(05:45):
So we need to learn more about Jdvan Okay, I
can buy that as like a reason to pay attention
to this, But my fear is JD. Vance is going
to kind of get himself in a situation that Trump
found himself in the previous debate a few weeks ago
against Kamala Harris where he talked so much in the
MIC's are going to be open, so they're going to
have to interact with each other. And Tim Wallas is
not going to win on policy, but he can win
(06:07):
on personality. What we're noticing it right, So though Democrats
wially playing that personality thing, the Republicans playing the policy thing,
can dvance find a way to dance around this and
be approachable, be personable while also telling America why this
(06:27):
is an incredibly important time to go more so toward
strong policy. And I think that is I think the
biggest key to the success for the Republicans as far
as tonight's vice presidential debate goes. Now, I do want
to get into some of these prop bets. There's also
some pretty breaking news about Matt's favorite football team they're
(06:48):
gonna have to talk about coming up as well. On
news radio eleven ten kfab, Emry's songer, I don't know
how to put this, but I'm kind of a big
deal on news radio eleven ten kfab. I am trying
(07:10):
to wait a second, gotta see here. First of all,
you're wrong, because when your team loses one hundred and
twenty one games in a single season and set the
all time loss record, you have long checked out from
what that team looks like, right, that's fair.
Speaker 2 (07:27):
That's fair.
Speaker 1 (07:28):
So I don't know, there's a there's an amount of
me that I like to I'd like to say that
you're right in a lot of ways, but you're not.
I'm gonna deny that, even though I'm absolutely a hate watcher.
At the same time, the Astros, the Yankees, the Dodgers,
the Phillies, those are like get them out of there
(07:50):
right like, let's you know, like the other game going
on right now is the Royals and the Orioles. Either
of those teams, either of them, Like you know what
I mean. I mean like I don't even care that
much about which team wins because I just like them both.
Oh ground ball, Oh it got through, dude, it got through.
Oh they got runners on first and second run in
(08:13):
Still nobody out.
Speaker 2 (08:14):
Your TV is like four seconds ahead of mine, by
the way, Oh, how does that work?
Speaker 1 (08:20):
I don't know, man, we're in, We're in. I'm in
La Vista, so I don't even know. Maybe Levisa has
a better pipe. Are you closer to the game, Uh,
well it's in Houston. I'm a little south of you. Yeah,
so probably, I don't know. Four seconds is the right
is the right amount? Though, I'll get to some of
these prop bets here as I try not to get
ultra distracted by the ninth ending of this baseball game
(08:41):
right in front of me while I'm sitting at a
sports bar and grail. Whose idea was this? Again to
distract me?
Speaker 2 (08:47):
Like?
Speaker 1 (08:47):
This is it my fault? It's probably my fault at
the end of the day. Uh, we did have a
listener email me and ask if you can hear the
debate live on the vice presidential debate. If you can
hear the debate live on kfab. The answer to that
question is yes. There will be Fox News pregame which
will be at seven o'clock tonight, and the debate will
(09:09):
begin at eight o'clock our time tonight. Fox News will
have a post game if you will post debate coverage
until ten thirty when we'll go back into regular programming.
So there you have it. If you are going to
come out and watch it with us at REVS Sports
Bar and Grill, then there's absolutely no way that you
should be doing anything else. Right, listen to it on
(09:32):
eleven t in kfab. You're going to get a real
understanding of what's going on out there. I think that's
the way to do it in my humble opinion. All right,
did you just see what happened there?
Speaker 2 (09:43):
Hey? Did you lay down the bunt there?
Speaker 1 (09:44):
Sacrifice laid down the butt runners on second and third.
Now with one out and now you have the whole
gam of the situations, right, I think they're going to
get a new picture in here. But what do you think?
I mean, you got to walk the bases loaded here
and try to get the double pa to get yourself
out of this, don't you? Or do you just risk
them tying up the game? Do you trust a pitcher
(10:05):
to get you know, a sacrifice fly or a you know,
a strikeout or something where he doesn't get a base
hit because we're getting into the small like to we're
working our way down the order here, we're into the
lighter bats. But you don't want to swing back around
at the top of the order here and all of
a sudden you got Jose Al Tuba coming up with
a chance to win this game. You know what I'm saying.
Speaker 2 (10:24):
Yeah, that's that's a tough one.
Speaker 1 (10:26):
My non baseball fans are listening to this, just like
what the heck is going on? Guys, And I'm sorry,
this is who I am. I can't help it. My
brain is scrambling right now, and the Royals just took
the lead in Baltimore. I don't know, you're probably you
probably don't have that one up, but you know I
got I got two screens here with the games going on,
and man, I'm just sweating bullets while I'm also trying
(10:47):
to get ready for this big debate. Life is good
when you have stuff like this to talk about. That's
all I'm throwing it. I'm throwing it out there right
You want what you can be passionate about. Speaking of passion,
I'm not a huge gambler, but in the in the
spirit of our friend, our late friend, Charlie Hustle Pete Rose,
we are going to talk about some of the fun
(11:08):
prop bets that are available in very strange sports books
and I will try to outline those the best that
I can and have Matt guess as to what some
of these odds are. We'll do that when we come
back as well. So stick around live from REFS Sports
Bar and Grill on ninety seventh and Giles getting ready
for the big Debate watch party tonight. Amorty Songer with
(11:29):
you on News Radio eleven ten kfab.
Speaker 2 (11:32):
Emory's songer on news Radio eleven ten Kfaby.
Speaker 1 (11:40):
Speaking of charming, I'm at a very charming place, Rev
Sports Bar and Grill here in La Vistas ninety seventh
and Giles looked for you to be a part of
our little watch party tonight. You can be a part
of this. They'll have the debate on as well on
these TVs and you'll be able to listen to the
audio of that as well as well. What a great day,
(12:01):
I mean, it feels like the first of October. It's
perfect weather outside. There's fantastic things on television between the debate,
the baseball and of course wrestling and nexteen on CW.
If you didn't hear on our commercials that we got
going on, and I just wanted to throw this out
there real quick. We don't have to talk about this
very long. But you're a Raiders fan and your star player,
DeVante Adams, apparently this afternoon has demanded a trade.
Speaker 2 (12:24):
Yeah, it's a bummer.
Speaker 1 (12:26):
You know where he's going to land, don't you jets Nah,
that'd be sweet though, Actually, that actually be sweet.
Speaker 2 (12:33):
You don't think he'll reunite with Aaron Rodgers.
Speaker 1 (12:35):
I think he'd like to try. Now that you say that,
I was thinking Kansas City. Oh, wouldn't you hate that?
Speaker 2 (12:41):
That be that would not be fun.
Speaker 1 (12:44):
I would hate that. I think everyone except Chiefs fans
would hate that. You want to know why people are
starting to really hate the Chiefs because of stuff like that.
Keep Devonte Adams out of Kansas City. Anywhere but Kansas City? Yeah,
but man, the Jets, that'd be fun. Where else? Is
there another obvious place? Because the Chiefs just lost their
top wide receiver. He looked like they think he might
have tore his a cl So that's why I was
(13:07):
thinking there. But I don't know, Like who's a good team, Like,
I don't know, Washington? Would Washington be kind of fun
for him? They look good through a couple a few weeks.
Speaker 2 (13:18):
And they got a young quarterback that's on a you know,
he looks awesome, a good contract.
Speaker 1 (13:23):
So yeah, he looks awesome. I don't know. Anyway, I
saw that on the news and just wanted to bring
that up. The prop bets here. I want to talk
prop bets. I like to do this previewing a debate.
For instance, what is a prop bet? Well, how would
you best describe a prop bet there, Matt, Like, it's
kind of just like, you're not betting on wins and losses, right,
(13:45):
You're not betting on who wins who loses. You're betting
on things happening in a certain way, right, Like this
guy would hit a home run. That's a prop bet, right. Yeah,
it's more of the things around the game, the smaller
like stuff that happens within the game. Yeah, like if
it's a super Bowl. There's all kinds of prop bets, right,
(14:05):
like the length of the national anthem, right right, right, right, exactly. Well.
Bet online has posted a bunch of prop bets here
on tonight's vice presidential debate, and I always find these fascinating.
I'm going to ask you the question that is being
posed by the by the betting agency here the sports book,
(14:28):
and I need you to tell I want you to
tell me what thing is most is favored by Vegas
if you will makes sense? Which candidate will say cats
or cats? First?
Speaker 2 (14:45):
Hmm, walls are vans, I'm gonna say walls.
Speaker 1 (14:49):
Walls is a heavy favorite there minus four hundred, which
is mentioned more cats or dogs?
Speaker 2 (14:55):
Oh?
Speaker 1 (14:57):
Oh, I see, oh man, this whole election cycle has
gone to the cats that it really has.
Speaker 2 (15:12):
A man?
Speaker 1 (15:15):
Can you believe this is a real life all right?
Which were most mentions? Cats are dogs?
Speaker 2 (15:21):
I'm gonna say cats.
Speaker 1 (15:22):
It is cats. It's not by much, but it is
cats are favored. There which candidate will say gun or
guns first? Walls correct? Which candidate will say artificial intelligence
or AI first? Vans correct, You're on fire? First to
be said Donald or Trump, Kamala or Harris? Right? So like,
(15:46):
which candidate will be referred to first? Essentially, I think
Donald Trump will be you are right again? That one
is almost a dead heat, though it's very close. First
to be said Ohio State Buckeyes or a Minnesota Viking.
Hm hm, oh you know because these are the teams
of these guys.
Speaker 2 (16:04):
Right, yeah, eh.
Speaker 1 (16:07):
First to be said Ohio State they are even money. Wow,
they are dead heat even money. First to interrupt the moderator.
Remember we have live mics tonight. They are not muting
the mics in between. First to interrupt the moderator.
Speaker 2 (16:25):
I'll say, I'll say vance on that one.
Speaker 1 (16:28):
Another trick question. It is even money again? Okay, most
speaking time, I think I think walls will dead heat
once again. This is the thing between these two guys,
we just don't know enough about what they're going to do, right.
(16:48):
We could kind of peg after a little bit, how
like in a debate with five Republican nominees trying to
work their way to the top of the ladder, who
was going to talk more based on their personality and
how a great if they seem to be versus you know,
some other stuff like Trump as well. You know, you
can kind of figure out how a debate will play
out because we've just seen it before, but these two guys,
(17:08):
we haven't. So there's kind of like some uncertainty as
to what exactly is going to happen and who's going
to try to dominate the time. Because Wallace has a
much bigger personality than J. D. Evans, he also was
much weaker on talking about policies, and he knows he's
going to have to talk policies for a lot of
what today is going to look like. Right? Will JD.
Vance say Mamma, yes, yes, his favorite. Indeed, will the
(17:32):
candidates shake hands yes or no?
Speaker 2 (17:36):
I think they'll give a strong but professional business hug
a hug. Yeah, that's what That's what I'm saying. Oh,
come on, man, it'll be a business hug. They won't hug,
you know, like you got those Diddy parties. Oh come on,
too much?
Speaker 1 (17:52):
Not enough? Well you you're throwing Diddy into this now. Yeah, disgusting, approssed.
Speaker 2 (17:58):
How many Diddy references? Zero?
Speaker 1 (18:01):
Zero? Did he reference? What are we talking about here?
All right? Well, the the the answer to that question
is yes, is an overwhelmingly overwhelming favor. They are they
are certain they will shake hands. Although handshake was an
underdog going into the Harris Trump presidential debate, and then
she walked over to his side of the stage to
(18:23):
shake his hand, and a bunch of people who bet
on the underdog, they were like, oh heck, yeah, So
there you go. For whatever that's worth. I got more
where that came from. So stick around. I'm gonna keep
This is gonna be fun. Stick around right here. We're
gonna have some fun talking about this and some other
things on news radio eleven to ten kfab. The sports
bar in real Refs is not going anywhere, and there
(18:46):
are one, two, three, nine, eleven thirty like at least
sixteen televisions in my site, a lot of baseball on
them right now. There will be maybe some baseball, but
also the debate, the vice presidential debate later tonight, and
we're doing a little watch party here. Come have fun
sports bar type dinner and some drinks and have some
fun on a Tuesday watching this debate with some people
(19:07):
that are certainly going to be having some fun with
you as well. On top of all that, the debate
has these things called prop bets that some sports books
are thrown out there, and bet online has more prop
bets that I wanted to get to and Matt Case,
you're my guinea pig out there. How you feeling after
the first round of prop bet quiz?
Speaker 2 (19:26):
I'm feeling pretty good.
Speaker 1 (19:27):
You did well, right, yeaheah, you did well. The only
things you didn't really get right was the trick questions
when there was a bunch of stuff that they were
even money, there wasn't actually a winner. Well, here's my question, though,
Are you expecting me to answer based on what the
prop bets are are, what I think they will, what
I think will happen. If that is a different answer,
(19:48):
then please iterate that. Okay, Please please iterate that in
a different way. Right, So, so like if you think okay,
so here's here's one. For instance, I'm about to ask
who you think is gonna win. You can tell me
what you think the Vegas Sportsbook thinks, and then what
you actually think. If that's a different answer, how's that?
Speaker 2 (20:07):
Okay?
Speaker 1 (20:08):
All right? So who's going to be the debate winner?
According to a CBS poll after the fact.
Speaker 2 (20:14):
Okay, so the prop bets are going to side with
Walls on this one.
Speaker 1 (20:20):
He opened as a minus three hundred favorite. That's a
pretty big favorite, you know what it is? Now he
is now a one plus one ten underdog. Really enough
money has gone on bet online that Vance actually is
looking like he will be the victor based on everything
that you're hearing or people just like those odds, and
they jumped on Vance pretty early, and now Vance is
the favorite.
Speaker 2 (20:42):
Okay, okay, I want to know where that money's coming from,
you know, all right?
Speaker 1 (20:47):
Baby? Well, who knows what? Tim Wallas is very connected
to China. Maybe he's running through some Chinese syndicates and
telling him straight up, Hey, you know what, I'm going
to tank this debate so we can all cash them
cash you know what I'm saying, Pete Rose, Sorry, no,
that's a Now that's a Joe Jackson. That's Joe Jackson
in the Black Sox. That's what they did. Jim Devlin.
(21:09):
If you want to go back to the eighteen seventies,
Pete Rose would have bet on himself to win and
then lose.
Speaker 2 (21:15):
I see what you mean.
Speaker 1 (21:18):
Anyway, Yeah, all right, next one? Oh, well, who do
you think is gonna win? Well?
Speaker 2 (21:23):
I think Fox News is gonna say Vance wins, and
I think MSNBC is gonna say Walls wins. I think
that's how that's gonna go.
Speaker 1 (21:29):
Yeah, you're right, it's all I think the winner for
most people is probably already predetermined. How many false or
misleading claims will be made? This is according to the
CBS News Confirmed Team, which are a team of hired
crack factcheckers. What's the over under you think?
Speaker 2 (21:48):
Set app Oh, I think it'll be in the in
the multitude of dozens.
Speaker 1 (21:55):
You would think. So, it's only seven and a half.
I don't know what that is because now they ask
about ten Walls and JD. Evans specifically, So let's just
go there. How many non facts or lies will be
said by Jdvans? According to Washington Post.
Speaker 2 (22:10):
And they combined it.
Speaker 1 (22:12):
Was just just JD. Vans. Yeah, I think that might
be like different terminology. How many do you think JD.
Evan is going to be on the hook for according
to the Washington Post, four twenty two point five, So
you were used, you were more on track there. How
many non facts are lies will be said by ten
(22:33):
Walls and the same thing, this is the over under?
Speaker 2 (22:37):
Remember twelve twelve and a half that I'm guessing that's
what the over under is.
Speaker 1 (22:42):
It is twelve and a half is the over under?
Speaker 2 (22:45):
Okay?
Speaker 1 (22:46):
Nice? So yeah, they think he's going to be ten less,
at least in Vegas. How many times will the word
weird be said? Because you know Tim wall Is called
Republicans weird. That's going to be brought up by somebody, right,
m hmm? How many times? Overrunner? M m.
Speaker 2 (23:03):
I don't think that he will lean into it, so
I think it'll come more from vance. So I'm gonna
guess three two.
Speaker 1 (23:11):
And a half.
Speaker 2 (23:12):
Okay, how many times?
Speaker 1 (23:14):
How many times will project twenty twenty five be said?
Over under?
Speaker 2 (23:17):
That one is gonna I mean, they're gonna try to
mention that as many times as they can. Walls will
I would think, yep, nine four.
Speaker 1 (23:25):
And a half is the overrunder four and a half?
What will be said first by Vance into reference about Walls, governorship, Riots,
tampon or minstrel.
Speaker 2 (23:36):
Menstrel?
Speaker 1 (23:41):
Do you think minstrel?
Speaker 2 (23:43):
I think I think.
Speaker 1 (23:45):
You're just surprised or you're just surprised by that being
part of the what is going on to that something?
No riots is the right answer? And what will Walls
say first? In reference to Vance claims Haitians pets cat
ladies are childless.
Speaker 2 (24:03):
Oh childless.
Speaker 1 (24:06):
It's almost a four weight de heat, but pets and
Haitians are tied for first. It's really close, though. We'll
talk more about this. Get you more set up. We're
gonna have a lot of fun getting you set up
for this debate. Watch party at Rev Sports Bar and Grill.
Be here for another hour. Can't wait to see you
when you drop by. I would love to see you.
And we got Sean Kellyan coming up to talk Huskers
coming up next as well. You got to stay right
where we are. Can't wait to talk more with you
(24:28):
live here on news Radio eleven ten kfab
