For 551 years, the Wadiyar dynasty’s glorious rule shaped the history of Mysore State. Legend traces their lineage to Lord Krishna, believed to have arrived from Dwaraka. Their 25 kings left indelible contributions to Karnataka. HH Jayachamaraja Wadiyar, the 25th and final king, holds a special place.
